It's a time to share, there's a 00:00:03.80\00:00:05.87 world out there looking for a 00:00:05.91\00:00:07.95 friend like Jesus. 00:00:07.99\00:00:10.51 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:10.55\00:00:13.72 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:13.76\00:00:17.09 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:17.12\00:00:20.97 Kid's Time, Kid's Time, Kid's Time. 00:00:21.00\00:00:24.78 Hi, boys and girls, don't you just love a great story? 00:00:24.81\00:00:27.77 I know I do, and have you ever noticed that the most 00:00:27.81\00:00:30.74 interesting stories are usually about events 00:00:30.77\00:00:32.98 that actually happened? 00:00:33.02\00:00:34.59 Well, I have two brothers who always seemed to be off on 00:00:34.63\00:00:37.21 some wild adventure when they were young. 00:00:37.25\00:00:39.03 And my brother Jim likes to tell about a downhill ski trip 00:00:39.07\00:00:42.20 that he took once. 00:00:42.24\00:00:43.45 Now, somehow he accidentally took a wrong turn down the 00:00:43.48\00:00:46.49 mountain and he ended up on a black diamond ski hill. 00:00:46.52\00:00:49.34 Now, boys and girls, let me tell you what, those are the 00:00:49.38\00:00:52.49 hardest hills to ski down and you don't want to ski down a 00:00:52.53\00:00:55.45 black diamond unless you really do know what you're doing. 00:00:55.49\00:00:58.59 Well, my brother didn't and it was too late, there was 00:00:58.63\00:01:01.99 nowhere to go but straight down and at break neck speed. 00:01:02.02\00:01:05.26 He found himself skiing faster, and faster, and faster 00:01:05.29\00:01:08.49 until he was completely out of control. 00:01:08.52\00:01:10.71 And he even went flying over a huge ski jump that caught 00:01:10.75\00:01:14.33 him by surprise, and he eventually fell. 00:01:14.37\00:01:17.22 But when you fall on a black diamond, you don't just stop, 00:01:17.26\00:01:20.26 oh, no, you just keep going and rolling and rolling and 00:01:20.29\00:01:23.26 rolling and hoping that you get to the bottom 00:01:23.30\00:01:25.06 in one piece. 00:01:25.09\00:01:26.44 He thought for sure he was a goner. 00:01:26.48\00:01:28.19 But you know what? 00:01:28.23\00:01:29.40 When he did eventually come to a stop, it wasn't a pretty 00:01:29.44\00:01:32.93 sight, he was pretty banged up, and shaken up, and fed up. 00:01:32.97\00:01:36.43 But at least he was in one piece. 00:01:36.47\00:01:38.91 It's funny now when he tells that story, but I'm sure it 00:01:38.95\00:01:41.44 wasn't funny then. 00:01:41.47\00:01:42.88 You know, teenage boys always seem to have some wild 00:01:42.91\00:01:45.46 adventure to tell about. 00:01:45.49\00:01:46.74 And in today's Bible story, you'll hear a young man tell 00:01:46.77\00:01:49.50 about an adventure that he had defending his 00:01:49.54\00:01:52.18 beloved King David. 00:01:52.22\00:01:54.27 Now you won't want to miss this story I can tell you that. 00:01:54.30\00:01:56.58 But first let's see what Ranger Jim has to show us. 00:01:56.62\00:01:59.37 Hi, boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying welcome 00:02:06.65\00:02:08.60 to Nature Time. 00:02:08.63\00:02:09.66 We're glad you can join us today. 00:02:09.69\00:02:10.79 We're in beautiful Raccoon Mountain Cavern near 00:02:10.82\00:02:13.66 Chattanooga, Tennessee. 00:02:13.69\00:02:15.38 And we have our friend Patty with us. 00:02:15.41\00:02:17.15 And, Patty, what is this beautiful pool that I see here? 00:02:17.18\00:02:19.61 Beautiful water, what is this? 00:02:19.64\00:02:21.35 This is called Reflection Pool, Ranger Jim, and this 00:02:21.39\00:02:25.08 pool is really neat. 00:02:25.12\00:02:26.19 The reason it reflects the water so well is because of the 00:02:26.23\00:02:29.69 minerals in the water. 00:02:29.72\00:02:31.34 We have lots of manganese, which is the material they use 00:02:31.37\00:02:34.36 to put over glass to make mirrors. 00:02:34.40\00:02:37.02 Neat, is what reflects that? Yes. 00:02:37.06\00:02:39.40 Is there anything living in the pool? 00:02:39.43\00:02:41.81 Well salamanders like this pool of water. 00:02:41.85\00:02:44.15 We have several different kinds of salamanders. 00:02:44.19\00:02:46.21 Some live in the front part of the cave like the sliming 00:02:46.25\00:02:48.99 salamanders and the cave salamanders. 00:02:49.02\00:02:51.51 The cave salamanders will actually lay their eggs in this 00:02:51.55\00:02:55.33 pool of water and they'll hatch. 00:02:55.37\00:02:57.68 When the salamanders are a couple months old, they start 00:02:57.71\00:03:00.45 crawling out and then they live on land. 00:03:00.49\00:03:02.94 They'll come and in out of the cave. 00:03:02.98\00:03:05.40 We also have bats. 00:03:05.44\00:03:09.22 They don't, of course, live in the pool. 00:03:09.25\00:03:11.74 But, they'll hang from the ceiling and sleep 00:03:11.78\00:03:14.24 during the day here. 00:03:14.27\00:03:15.67 We like having them around because they can eat mosquitoes 00:03:15.71\00:03:18.52 for us in the evening when they're out flying around. 00:03:18.56\00:03:22.57 Each little bat in here, believe it or not, can eat 600 00:03:22.61\00:03:26.59 mosquitoes every hour. 00:03:26.63\00:03:28.64 An hour? Isn't that amazing. 00:03:28.67\00:03:29.98 An hour. 00:03:30.02\00:03:31.04 Now let me ask you, you talk about the slimy salamanders, 00:03:31.07\00:03:33.79 most boys and girls and most adults think all salamanders 00:03:33.83\00:03:36.52 are slimy, but they're not, are they? 00:03:36.55\00:03:38.32 Well, slimy salamander is actually the name 00:03:38.36\00:03:41.46 of the species. 00:03:41.50\00:03:42.71 In the Appalachians we have over 3000 species of 00:03:42.75\00:03:46.65 salamanders around here. 00:03:46.68\00:03:48.77 In the cave itself we have 5 different species. 00:03:48.80\00:03:51.29 And although they all have moist skin, they are not all 00:03:51.33\00:03:55.11 slimy salamanders. 00:03:55.14\00:03:56.58 They're not all slimy. 00:03:56.62\00:03:57.98 And what do the salamanders eat here in the cave? 00:03:58.02\00:04:00.90 Do they find other things? 00:04:00.94\00:04:02.14 In the cave they don't actually eat anything, there's not 00:04:02.17\00:04:04.33 enough food for them in here. 00:04:04.37\00:04:06.12 So they go outside and they eat bugs. 00:04:06.15\00:04:08.32 They can shoot their tongues out really fast and catch a 00:04:08.36\00:04:10.47 bug and swallow it. 00:04:10.51\00:04:12.61 And that's what they eat. 00:04:12.64\00:04:13.61 Then the parent doesn't have any process of feeding the 00:04:13.62\00:04:16.40 babies once they hatch? 00:04:16.44\00:04:17.49 They're independent and they are able to get 00:04:17.53\00:04:20.27 their own food? 00:04:20.30\00:04:21.52 That's something, that's actually being studied. 00:04:21.55\00:04:23.62 The slimy salamanders will put their eggs in little holes 00:04:23.66\00:04:27.72 in the cave. 00:04:27.75\00:04:28.82 And the slimy salamanders will stay with the eggs the 00:04:28.85\00:04:32.46 whole time until after they are hatched. 00:04:32.50\00:04:34.74 I talked to an expert recently, and he said the reason 00:04:34.78\00:04:37.94 they do that, the adults have a secretion that will protect the 00:04:37.98\00:04:42.36 eggs from a fungus that normally attacks anything 00:04:42.39\00:04:46.15 in the cave. 00:04:46.19\00:04:47.64 It's just amazing, isn't it? 00:04:47.67\00:04:50.42 We see these creatures that God made for us 00:04:50.46\00:04:53.50 to see and enjoy. 00:04:53.53\00:04:55.08 And when people say this just all evolved and we see 00:04:55.11\00:04:58.11 certain processes, it would be impossible, wouldn't it? 00:04:58.15\00:05:01.06 Yes... He provided this and provided protection for those 00:05:01.09\00:05:03.97 creatures - even a slimy salamander. 00:05:04.00\00:05:06.76 Even a slimy salamanders. 00:05:06.79\00:05:08.22 Even a slimy salamander. 00:05:08.25\00:05:09.61 And you know what? Most people are real interested to find 00:05:09.65\00:05:12.11 out that we don't usually find snakes in caves. 00:05:12.14\00:05:15.71 That's a common misconception ... that we don't have 00:05:15.75\00:05:19.47 snakes in caves. 00:05:19.51\00:05:20.48 That would be a relief to many of the people that 00:05:20.51\00:05:22.01 are viewing this. 00:05:22.04\00:05:23.19 Yes. Boys and girls, it's so much fun to learn about these 00:05:23.23\00:05:25.68 creatures that God made for us. 00:05:25.72\00:05:27.37 So this is Ranger Jim once again saying don't forget to 00:05:27.41\00:05:30.62 tell Jesus that you love Him, because He really does love you. 00:05:30.66\00:05:35.32 Hello, Cindy. Hi. 00:05:42.78\00:05:44.84 Why the sad face? 00:05:44.87\00:05:46.86 I'm sad because it's the next to the last day of school. 00:05:46.89\00:05:49.98 Oh, I get it, you'll miss your teachers. 00:05:52.43\00:05:54.83 You'll miss your friends. 00:05:54.86\00:05:56.56 No, I'm not gonna miss my teachers or my friends. 00:05:56.60\00:05:59.06 And I'm definitely not going to miss the homework. 00:05:59.10\00:06:01.53 It's such a burden. 00:06:01.56\00:06:03.15 Oh but, Cindy, one more day and that 00:06:03.19\00:06:06.31 burden will be lifted. 00:06:06.34\00:06:07.92 Just like Jesus lifted our burdens at Calvary. 00:06:07.95\00:06:10.72 Days are filled with sorrow and care. 00:06:14.89\00:06:18.24 Hearts are lonely and drear. 00:06:18.27\00:06:21.51 Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Jesus is very near. 00:06:21.55\00:06:28.20 Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Calvary, Calvary. 00:06:29.91\00:06:36.75 Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Jesus is very near. 00:06:36.79\00:06:43.60 Cast your cares on Jesus today, 00:06:47.10\00:06:49.92 leave your worry and fear. 00:06:49.95\00:06:53.21 Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Jesus is very near. 00:06:54.30\00:07:00.60 Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Calvary, Calvary. 00:07:02.07\00:07:08.80 Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Jesus is very near. 00:07:09.83\00:07:15.63 Roll, roll your burdens away. 00:07:19.26\00:07:22.84 Roll, roll your burdens away for 00:07:22.87\00:07:26.38 Jesus has promised to take them all. 00:07:26.42\00:07:29.61 Roll, roll your burdens away. 00:07:29.64\00:07:33.99 Troubles all the Savior can see, every heartache and tear. 00:07:37.01\00:07:42.92 Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Jesus is very near. 00:07:44.34\00:07:49.92 Burdens are lifted at Calvary, Calvary, Calvary. 00:07:51.80\00:07:57.79 Burdens are lifted at. Calvary, Jesus is very near. 00:07:59.23\00:08:05.37 Hi, boys and girls, and welcome to Talk Time. 00:08:16.60\00:08:18.74 I'm here today 00:08:18.77\00:08:19.87 with Pastor John. Hi, Pastor John. 00:08:19.91\00:08:21.76 Good to be here, Brenda. 00:08:21.79\00:08:22.87 Good to have you here. 00:08:22.91\00:08:23.91 Time to get together and just answer Bible questions. 00:08:23.95\00:08:25.25 That's right and you know what? 00:08:25.28\00:08:26.25 You are really wonderful to ask questions of, because I 00:08:26.26\00:08:29.68 know that you know your Bible. 00:08:29.72\00:08:30.83 Praise the Lord. 00:08:30.86\00:08:32.17 You studied the Bible So I'm just going to pull out the 00:08:32.21\00:08:33.63 first question. Okay. 00:08:33.67\00:08:34.78 And it says, "I want to get my ears pierced," 00:08:34.81\00:08:37.09 "but my Grandma said it would make Jesus sad," 00:08:37.13\00:08:39.38 "is this true?" 00:08:39.41\00:08:40.63 Well, first I want to point out that you know we can't do 00:08:40.66\00:08:42.49 anything to make Jesus sad or happy. 00:08:42.52\00:08:44.19 Just imagine all the billions of people on the planet. 00:08:44.23\00:08:46.45 Would there ever be a time when He would be happy? 00:08:46.49\00:08:48.96 And so one thing we can't control the emotions of God. 00:08:48.99\00:08:51.54 Now, pleasing Him is a different thing all together. 00:08:51.58\00:08:54.06 Pleasing God is what we want to do and piercing our bodies 00:08:54.09\00:08:56.89 wouldn't please the Lord, because He looks at jewelry as 00:08:56.92\00:08:59.69 an idol and the body as His temple. 00:08:59.72\00:09:02.22 So He wants us to keep His temple free from idols. 00:09:02.25\00:09:05.19 You find that in 2 Corinthians 6:16, 00:09:05.22\00:09:09.79 "What fellowship does the temple of God have with idols 00:09:09.83\00:09:12.86 "for you are the temple of the living God. " 00:09:12.89\00:09:14.88 And so, young lady, you want to keep God's temple free 00:09:14.92\00:09:18.19 from idols, and you do that because you please God and you 00:09:18.22\00:09:21.45 recognize you belong to Him and He owns you. 00:09:21.49\00:09:25.39 He always knows what's best for us. 00:09:25.43\00:09:27.29 Oh, good answer, good answer. 00:09:27.32\00:09:28.75 Okay, another question, it says, "My Mom and Dad are dead" 00:09:28.78\00:09:32.10 "and I live with my Grandma who doesn't really want me. " 00:09:32.13\00:09:35.57 "If I kill myself, will I be in heaven with my Mom and Dad?" 00:09:35.60\00:09:39.01 Pastor Lomacang, I just want to share this with you. 00:09:39.04\00:09:41.98 This little girl, when she wrote this, she didn't give a 00:09:42.02\00:09:44.87 return address so I have no other way to reach her other 00:09:44.91\00:09:47.73 than what you're going to tell her right now. 00:09:47.76\00:09:49.33 So I think it's really important that you answer her 00:09:49.37\00:09:51.96 question, she's really hurting inside. 00:09:52.00\00:09:54.59 She's from St. Lucia. 00:09:54.62\00:09:56.18 St. Lucia! You know when I was young - you know some of 00:09:56.21\00:09:58.81 my story, being abandoned and left at a babysitter when I was 00:09:58.84\00:10:01.14 only 3 months old. 00:10:01.17\00:10:02.37 Being raised without my parents, not knowing who they 00:10:02.40\00:10:04.00 were, there was a day when I wanted to run away. 00:10:04.04\00:10:06.66 And I didn't know who tell, I felt rejected. 00:10:06.70\00:10:09.26 I felt like I didn't belong, I felt that they didn't want 00:10:09.29\00:10:12.12 me similar to what this young person may feel. 00:10:12.16\00:10:14.65 The only person I told was my dog and he - I was upset 00:10:14.68\00:10:17.92 that I would be missing him. I wanted to leave home. 00:10:17.96\00:10:21.12 But then I realized that there are things I may not 00:10:21.15\00:10:24.25 understand while I'm young and sometimes a young person's 00:10:24.28\00:10:27.42 idea of being wanted or not being wanted means I get my 00:10:27.45\00:10:30.55 way or I don't get my way. 00:10:30.58\00:10:32.06 First of all I won't encourage her or him to run away 00:10:32.10\00:10:36.28 - young girl. 00:10:36.31\00:10:37.75 It's a girl and she's ten years old. 00:10:37.79\00:10:39.58 Yea, I wouldn't want her to run away and sadly enough you 00:10:39.62\00:10:42.17 wouldn't want her to take her life because the Bible says, 00:10:42.21\00:10:44.73 "Thou shalt not kill. " and that includes yourself. 00:10:44.76\00:10:47.57 What you need to do is allow yourself to grow up, 00:10:47.61\00:10:50.62 give yourself some time to understand life better, 00:10:50.65\00:10:53.59 and you'll see that your parents or your grandparents 00:10:53.63\00:10:56.54 do love you. 00:10:56.57\00:10:57.97 Just give yourself time to grow with them and I know you 00:10:58.00\00:11:00.30 miss your parents tremendously, that's something any 00:11:00.33\00:11:02.59 abandoned child, or child without parents, 00:11:02.62\00:11:05.15 would experience. 00:11:05.19\00:11:06.46 But, you don't want to do that because that's the worst 00:11:06.49\00:11:08.93 thing - you take away the best gift that God has given 00:11:08.96\00:11:11.36 to you, and that gift is life. 00:11:11.39\00:11:13.62 But when you give yourself some time and you get older, 00:11:13.65\00:11:15.44 you'll see that you'll be a blessing to God. 00:11:15.48\00:11:17.28 And friends, the devil wants you to take your life so you 00:11:17.31\00:11:20.25 can lose out on being a blessing to others and most of all 00:11:20.29\00:11:23.20 he wants you to lose out on being in the kingdom 00:11:23.23\00:11:25.29 eternally and you don't want that. 00:11:25.32\00:11:27.51 Good answer, thank you, Pastor John. 00:11:27.54\00:11:29.66 I want to just say this and the reason why is because the 00:11:29.69\00:11:31.19 Lord loves her more than she ever knows. 00:11:31.22\00:11:33.65 So right now, give herself room to understand that. 00:11:33.69\00:11:36.60 What if her Grandma really doesn't lover her, you know? 00:11:36.63\00:11:39.51 But still, Jesus does. 00:11:39.55\00:11:41.11 Right, that's right. 00:11:41.15\00:11:42.65 Jesus' love is unconditional no matter what your 00:11:42.68\00:11:45.41 circumstances, His love is always there for you. 00:11:45.45\00:11:48.15 Yes, that's a good answer. 00:11:48.18\00:11:49.68 This letter is a real quick question. 00:11:49.71\00:11:51.17 I think we have time for one more. 00:11:51.20\00:11:52.59 "I stole a dollar that was in my friend's desk at school. " 00:11:52.62\00:11:55.10 "I asked Jesus to forgive me, but I don't really want my" 00:11:55.14\00:11:57.58 "friend to know about it. " 00:11:57.61\00:11:58.99 "Is it okay just to tell Jesus?" 00:11:59.03\00:12:01.03 Wow, you know the Bible says in James 4:17, "To him that" 00:12:01.07\00:12:03.80 "knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. " 00:12:03.83\00:12:06.67 Now, if your friend missed that dollar and blamed somebody 00:12:06.70\00:12:09.53 else for it, now it's your responsibility to get that other 00:12:09.57\00:12:12.48 person off the hook, because they were falsely accused. 00:12:12.51\00:12:15.19 And so this way you may grow by going to your friend and 00:12:15.22\00:12:17.87 say, "I apologize for taking your dollar. " 00:12:17.90\00:12:19.83 "I promise not to do it again. " 00:12:19.86\00:12:21.87 and by being accountable to him I know that you are going 00:12:21.90\00:12:24.67 to grow, so don't just put it back secretly because the 00:12:24.70\00:12:27.14 Lord wants you to grow and go to your friend and I'm sure 00:12:27.17\00:12:29.57 they'll appreciate it and your friendship 00:12:29.61\00:12:31.04 will be a lot stronger. 00:12:31.08\00:12:32.76 You know, that was a good answer and I appreciate that, Pastor. 00:12:32.79\00:12:35.60 You know, the kids have had some good questions today, 00:12:35.63\00:12:37.36 didn't they? They sure have. 00:12:37.39\00:12:38.66 They did, but unfortunately we're all out of time today. 00:12:38.70\00:12:41.05 Boys and girls if you have a question for Pastor John, 00:12:41.08\00:12:43.37 just send it to me here at Kid's Time and we will make sure 00:12:43.40\00:12:45.96 your question gets answered, because, you know what? 00:12:46.00\00:12:48.29 Your questions are important to us. 00:12:48.32\00:12:49.74 And your questions are important to Jesus. 00:12:49.77\00:12:52.78 Hey, fellas, can you guys keep a secret? 00:15:00.97\00:15:02.86 Yea. I just had an adventure. 00:15:02.89\00:15:07.82 It was crazy! You guys know about Absalom, right? 00:15:07.85\00:15:12.89 Uh, huh. And how he's having a revolt against King David? 00:15:12.93\00:15:17.38 Yes. Well, I'm a King David's man myself and when David 00:15:17.41\00:15:21.79 and all of his followers left, my father thought it would be 00:15:21.83\00:15:25.19 wise for me and my best friend to stay behind and hide in a 00:15:25.23\00:15:28.56 village near Jerusalem. 00:15:28.59\00:15:30.37 Jonathan and I, we're pretty fast. 00:15:30.41\00:15:33.17 I don't want to brag, but we run all over the place, and my 00:15:33.21\00:15:37.24 father thought that if David needed to get a message 00:15:37.28\00:15:39.78 really quick, Jonathan and I could take it and run 00:15:39.82\00:15:42.28 really fast to him. 00:15:42.32\00:15:44.09 It was a good thing, 'cuz Absalom had a council meeting 00:15:44.13\00:15:47.92 and one of his advisors said, "Absalom, now is the time to" 00:15:47.95\00:15:52.09 "attack David. He's depressed, he's not ready for a fight and" 00:15:52.13\00:15:56.23 "he's right at the River Jordan" 00:15:56.27\00:15:57.95 "You can rush in and kill him, and then the" 00:15:57.99\00:16:00.40 "kingdom will be yours. " 00:16:00.44\00:16:02.08 Fortunately for David, Absalom said, "Hmmm, what does" 00:16:02.12\00:16:06.61 "Hushai say about this?" 00:16:06.64\00:16:08.41 Hushai, he's also a David's man, he gave him some bad advice. 00:16:08.44\00:16:15.15 He said, "Oh, great Absalom, King David is a mighty" 00:16:15.19\00:16:18.90 "warrior and he's not depressed, he's ready for a fight. " 00:16:18.94\00:16:22.65 "In fact, he's probably set up ambushes all along the way. " 00:16:22.69\00:16:26.12 "You should wait until you get your huge army together. " 00:16:26.15\00:16:29.34 "It'll take awhile, but it will be worth it in the end. " 00:16:29.37\00:16:33.38 Well, fortunately, Absalom decided to take Hushai's advice 00:16:33.41\00:16:37.38 and he decided to wait. 00:16:37.42\00:16:38.95 Well, Hushai knew that David was in grave danger. 00:16:38.98\00:16:42.07 So he sent his servant girl, to the house where Jonathan 00:16:42.11\00:16:45.45 and I were hiding with a message for David to flee into 00:16:45.49\00:16:48.80 the wilderness. 00:16:48.83\00:16:50.54 When the girl told us, we snuck out the back door and took 00:16:50.57\00:16:53.60 off through a field. 00:16:53.64\00:16:55.13 Well, unfortunately someone must have seen us because soon 00:16:55.17\00:16:58.94 we heard horse hoofs behind us thundering against the ground 00:16:58.97\00:17:02.93 I turned and looked and there were Absalom's men chasing us. 00:17:02.96\00:17:06.28 They hadn't seen us yet, but they knew where we were headed 00:17:06.32\00:17:10.65 so I ran and fortunately my uncle had a farm nearby and we 00:17:10.69\00:17:14.33 made it to the courtyard of his farm just before the horses. 00:17:14.37\00:17:17.98 I said, "Uncle, you have to hide us, King David's life" 00:17:18.01\00:17:20.90 "depends upon it. " 00:17:20.94\00:17:22.68 Well, my uncle thinking fast ran over to the well and pulled 00:17:22.72\00:17:25.71 off the cover and Jonathan and I climbed down in it. 00:17:25.74\00:17:28.52 And he slammed the well cover on top and spread some grain 00:17:28.55\00:17:31.52 just as Absalom's men charged into the courtyard. 00:17:31.55\00:17:35.83 It was dark and cold and all I heard were the horses 00:17:35.87\00:17:40.12 stopping and evil men yelling and shouting. 00:17:40.15\00:17:43.68 Then they ran off, and it was silent. 00:17:43.72\00:17:47.12 I was down there freezing and I was so scared. 00:17:47.16\00:17:51.05 I knew that if I got caught I could die. 00:17:51.09\00:17:53.86 Well, after a few hours my uncle peeked open the lid and 00:17:53.90\00:17:58.29 dropped a rope down, and Jonathan and I climbed out, and 00:17:58.33\00:18:02.23 he said, "Well, Absalom's men have gone, it's safe now. " 00:18:02.27\00:18:06.13 "Go tell Kind David your message. ". 00:18:06.17\00:18:08.14 Well, Jonathan and I we took off just as fast as we could 00:18:08.17\00:18:11.15 straight to King David's tent. 00:18:11.19\00:18:13.33 And we got there and we said, "Your Majesty must flee!" 00:18:13.36\00:18:17.31 "Absalom will be ready to attack you soon. " 00:18:17.34\00:18:19.95 "You've got to cross the River Jordan tonight!" 00:18:19.98\00:18:22.52 Well, King David gave the orders to break camp and he got 00:18:22.55\00:18:26.22 his men together and they crossed the Jordan River 00:18:26.25\00:18:28.93 and were saved. 00:18:28.96\00:18:30.55 God was able to use Jonathan and me to rescue 00:18:30.58\00:18:34.06 the Lord's anointed. 00:18:34.09\00:18:36.20 Sometimes I feel young and like I can't 00:18:36.23\00:18:39.58 do anything important. 00:18:39.61\00:18:41.63 But today God used me, and God can use you guys too. 00:18:41.67\00:18:45.57 You've got talents. 00:18:45.60\00:18:47.37 I can run fast, you got your slingshot. 00:18:47.40\00:18:49.84 Whatever you're good at just keep practicing and one day 00:18:49.88\00:18:53.00 you can use that gift for God. 00:18:53.04\00:18:55.56 Well, that soldier's awful close I better go. 00:18:55.60\00:18:59.00 But keep the secret for me. 00:18:59.03\00:19:01.18 Just keep the secret, okay? 00:19:01.21\00:19:03.32 Hey! Hey you! Whoa! 00:19:03.36\00:19:04.86 Hey, stop! " 00:20:28.31\00:20:31.57 "Mystery and adventure leap from the pages of" 00:20:31.61\00:20:34.10 "this classic book. " 00:20:34.14\00:20:36.12 Oh, boys and girls, you're gonna want to read this book, 00:20:36.16\00:20:38.22 Eric B. What kind of stories? 00:20:55.58\00:20:57.80 Well, like Jesus' miracles. 00:20:57.84\00:21:00.00 And have you had any wonderful experiences from 00:21:00.03\00:21:02.63 telling those stories? 00:21:02.66\00:21:03.99 Yes. Can you tell me about it? 00:21:04.03\00:21:05.39 Well, one time when we were at Grandma's house and we went 00:21:05.43\00:21:12.04 to a park and we played with these girls. 00:21:12.08\00:21:15.84 After we played for a little bit, I asked them if they 00:21:15.87\00:21:19.45 wanted to hear a story. 00:21:19.49\00:21:21.29 And they said yes that they would like to. 00:21:21.32\00:21:24.29 So I told them two stories. 00:21:24.33\00:21:27.07 Two stories. Do you remember which two stories 00:21:27.11\00:21:28.95 you told them? 00:21:28.99\00:21:30.09 Yes. Which ones were they? 00:21:30.13\00:21:31.15 The story of when Jesus multiplied the five loaves 00:21:31.18\00:21:34.30 and two fishes. 00:21:34.33\00:21:35.60 Oh, I like that one. 00:21:35.63\00:21:36.66 And the story of when Jesus raised Jairus's daughter 00:21:36.69\00:21:39.14 from the dead.. 00:21:39.18\00:21:40.53 Oh, you know what? We told both those stories on Kid's Time. 00:21:40.57\00:21:42.79 Did you that? 00:21:42.82\00:21:44.10 We have. How about Annette, what have you 00:21:44.13\00:21:45.84 done to share Jesus? 00:21:45.88\00:21:47.11 I make booklets and bookmarks. 00:21:47.14\00:21:52.75 What kind of bookmarks? 00:21:52.79\00:21:55.36 We put little Bible characters on them, like Jesus. 00:21:55.40\00:22:00.21 That's a good thing to do isn't it? 00:22:00.24\00:22:03.18 And, you know, I can tell that both of you love to witness 00:22:03.21\00:22:05.99 for Jesus, don't you? 00:22:06.03\00:22:07.49 What does it make you feel like inside when you 00:22:07.52\00:22:10.06 witness for Jesus? 00:22:10.09\00:22:12.11 Happy. It does, doesn't it? 00:22:12.14\00:22:13.97 There is no greater joy than serving Jesus, right? 00:22:14.01\00:22:17.06 Yes...
