It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:03.42\00:00:06.97 Looking for a friend like Jesus. It's time to share 00:00:07.24\00:00:11.81 there's a world out there; let's tell them 00:00:11.88\00:00:14.28 that He loves us so. Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:14.39\00:00:20.14 Kids Time, kids Time, kids Time. 00:00:20.45\00:00:25.17 Hi, boys and girls. I am so glad to be here with you 00:00:25.20\00:00:26.90 today, it's been a pretty busy month for me and I am 00:00:27.12\00:00:29.43 just so happy to sit here and just spend a 00:00:29.56\00:00:31.67 little time and talk with you for a moment and 00:00:31.80\00:00:33.96 you do know my favorite thing to talk about don't 00:00:33.99\00:00:36.25 you that's right it's Jesus. Do you know why I like 00:00:36.28\00:00:39.61 to talk about Jesus so much, it's because Jesus 00:00:39.71\00:00:42.57 saved my life by dying on the cross for me, he 00:00:42.66\00:00:45.48 is my hero and when someone saves your life you 00:00:45.65\00:00:49.16 can't help but love him and talk about him all the 00:00:49.19\00:00:51.26 time right. Well, I heard a story about a family up 00:00:51.36\00:00:54.15 in Canada whose house started on fire late in the 00:00:54.32\00:00:57.60 night just a few years ago and all their children 00:00:57.63\00:01:00.21 were upstairs sleeping sound a sleep. When the 00:01:00.31\00:01:02.95 fire started somewhere downstairs so it already 00:01:03.12\00:01:05.78 spread all over the house by the time the whole 00:01:06.02\00:01:07.84 family realized what danger they were in. 00:01:07.96\00:01:09.67 Now, I want to just show you, see this match isn't 00:01:10.38\00:01:14.24 it amazing how a tiny fire like this, it can grow so 00:01:14.34\00:01:18.28 big that it can burn down an entire house, ooh! 00:01:18.49\00:01:21.09 And a lot of smoke too. Now do you think that 00:01:21.25\00:01:23.56 mommy and daddy went running right off the door 00:01:26.34\00:01:27.31 to save their own lives of course not, all they 00:01:27.32\00:01:29.11 could think about was saving their children and 00:01:29.23\00:01:30.91 so up the stairs the father ran all the time thinking 00:01:31.12\00:01:33.84 for not even thinking about his own safety, he was 00:01:34.37\00:01:36.74 thinking about his precious children and every 00:01:36.89\00:01:39.42 family member was saved. Now, do you think the 00:01:39.55\00:01:42.12 family stood around when the father got upstairs 00:01:42.20\00:01:44.12 and said I wonder if we should you know leave 00:01:44.20\00:01:46.70 the house. No, they got out as fast as they could 00:01:46.83\00:01:50.74 and what a night that was as they stood out in the 00:01:50.83\00:01:52.95 snow and just watched their beloved home burned 00:01:53.10\00:01:55.33 to the ground. But they were thankful because 00:01:55.48\00:01:58.10 they were all safe and alive. Well, today we'll 00:01:58.20\00:02:01.82 hear a Bible story about a family who was saved 00:02:01.87\00:02:04.60 from a huge fire, only this fire didn't just burn up 00:02:04.71\00:02:07.58 one house it burned up an entire city and all the 00:02:07.78\00:02:11.04 people in it, only one man and two of his 00:02:11.07\00:02:14.01 daughters got out alive. We'll hear the whole story 00:02:14.23\00:02:17.02 from one of the daughters in just a little 00:02:17.08\00:02:18.44 bit, but right now it's time to go to 00:02:18.58\00:02:20.86 the garden with Ms. Emily. 00:02:20.89\00:02:22.39 Hi, boys and girls. I am here in my gardens at the 00:02:36.78\00:02:39.15 University of Tennessee, in Knoxville, Tennessee. 00:02:39.41\00:02:42.08 And I am observing all of the birds that live in 00:02:42.38\00:02:45.41 my garden, do you hear the birds? They are so many 00:02:45.59\00:02:50.04 different kind of birds that live in my garden. 00:02:50.28\00:02:52.03 I like to there with my binoculars, I love to watch 00:02:52.47\00:02:55.46 the cardinals, the robins and my favorite bird 00:02:55.49\00:02:58.91 is a hummingbird. Did you know that the largest 00:02:59.06\00:03:02.00 bird is the ostrich, but do you think I have 00:03:02.09\00:03:05.33 ostriches in my garden, no, I do not have 00:03:05.63\00:03:08.61 ostriches but the smallest bird is called is the bee 00:03:08.85\00:03:12.04 hummingbird. I have a lot of hummingbirds that 00:03:12.15\00:03:14.64 live in my garden and there is a lot of things you 00:03:14.68\00:03:17.32 can do to attract birds to your garden. Birds like 00:03:17.35\00:03:20.71 to build their nests in big tall trees like you see 00:03:20.84\00:03:23.31 behind me and there is a couple of things that you 00:03:23.56\00:03:25.96 can do to help birds to build their nest. The first 00:03:26.04\00:03:28.45 thing that you can do is grab a mesh bag, normally 00:03:28.61\00:03:33.50 maybe you might get a bag of apples that come in 00:03:33.70\00:03:35.49 a mesh bag and then you can grab your favorite 00:03:35.52\00:03:38.67 pieces of yarn and put these in the bag and also 00:03:38.70\00:03:42.28 whenever you're drying your clothes go ahead and 00:03:42.37\00:03:44.53 grab the dryer lint that comes out, normally you 00:03:44.89\00:03:47.22 take this out before you dry your clothes and you 00:03:47.30\00:03:49.64 can put these all in a bag, close it up and then 00:03:49.75\00:03:53.12 hang it on a tree, this way the bird will be able 00:03:53.38\00:03:59.50 to come and get out all little pieces of yarn to 00:03:59.58\00:04:02.60 help it built its nest. Another thing that you can 00:04:02.70\00:04:06.59 do to attract birds to your garden is plant 00:04:06.73\00:04:08.81 special flowers. I love to plant flowers for 00:04:08.91\00:04:12.28 hummingbirds. Now, remember hummingbirds 00:04:12.42\00:04:14.71 are little birds and they flap their wings about 00:04:14.77\00:04:17.57 sixty times a second. Some of the flowers that you 00:04:17.79\00:04:21.09 want to plant should be red, hummingbirds love red 00:04:21.21\00:04:24.83 flowers. Here for example I have what is called a 00:04:25.05\00:04:29.48 Petunia, do you see how red this flower is, also 00:04:29.59\00:04:33.58 another thing that you want to look for is you 00:04:33.98\00:04:35.85 want flowers that are trumpet shaped, you can 00:04:35.93\00:04:39.11 see here that it has a long skinny point because 00:04:39.24\00:04:41.57 what hummingbirds do is they use their nose and 00:04:41.72\00:04:44.01 they get into the flower and drink all of the nectar. 00:04:44.04\00:04:46.57 Another one of my favorite plants to use is called 00:04:48.87\00:04:50.92 Nicotiana, you can see here that it's a pretty purple 00:04:51.19\00:04:54.20 color but hummingbirds still like it because of the 00:04:54.41\00:04:57.10 shape of the flower. See how long this part is? 00:04:57.18\00:05:00.41 And the last thing that you can boys and girls is 00:05:01.94\00:05:03.94 you can make your own bird feeder, just take a 00:05:04.22\00:05:08.32 half of an orange and clean out the insides, 00:05:08.54\00:05:11.19 tie strings on the ends and fill it with your very 00:05:11.45\00:05:15.79 favorite bird seeds. This ways birds have 00:05:16.01\00:05:20.63 something to eat all year long and just hang it in 00:05:20.78\00:05:22.99 your favorite tree may be outside of a kitchen 00:05:23.16\00:05:24.81 window or something. Well, boys and girls, I am 00:05:24.91\00:05:28.05 going to keep looking out for my favorite birds in 00:05:28.14\00:05:30.13 the garden but first I want to encourage you 00:05:30.19\00:05:32.62 to sow the seeds of God's love. 00:05:32.67\00:05:34.85 When I am afraid I will trust in you, 00:05:42.33\00:05:44.73 in God whose word I praise. In God I trust, 00:05:44.97\00:05:48.19 I will not be afraid, what can mortal man 00:05:48.55\00:05:50.72 do to me. Psalms 56:3 and 4. 00:05:50.79\00:05:53.99 When I am afraid I will trust in you 00:06:21.28\00:06:25.99 I will trust in you, I will trust in you 00:06:26.52\00:06:32.47 When I am afraid I will trust in you 00:06:33.02\00:06:37.58 In God whose word I praise. 00:06:38.46\00:06:43.21 When I am afraid I will trust in you 00:06:44.16\00:06:48.64 I will trust in you, I will trust in you 00:06:49.12\00:06:54.78 When I am afraid I will trust in you 00:06:55.41\00:06:59.89 In God whose word I praise. 00:07:00.59\00:07:05.87 In God whose word I trust, when I am afraid, 00:07:06.56\00:07:16.54 In God whose word I trust, In God whose 00:07:16.97\00:07:24.27 In God whose word I trust, 00:07:24.30\00:07:25.27 In God whose word I praise. 00:07:25.28\00:07:28.31 When I am afraid I will trust in you 00:07:32.06\00:07:36.54 I will trust in you, I will trust in you 00:07:36.83\00:07:42.51 When I am afraid I will trust in you 00:07:43.18\00:07:48.03 In God whose word I praise. 00:07:48.57\00:07:54.26 I trust you Lord, I really do. 00:08:00.06\00:08:07.12 Welcome to learning time I'm glad you joined us 00:08:16.72\00:08:19.36 today, now we got something special to show 00:08:19.45\00:08:21.44 you, now I have got two of my helpers over here. 00:08:21.55\00:08:24.04 I have got James, James thanks for helping us 00:08:24.39\00:08:26.48 today. Your welcome. And I've got Jonathan, 00:08:26.61\00:08:28.38 Jonathan, thank you. Your welcome. 00:08:28.55\00:08:30.09 Now, we've got some stuff on the table. Do you 00:08:30.22\00:08:32.35 like stuff? Yeah. Now, I will show you what I, 00:08:32.47\00:08:34.89 we got some science stuff right here, in fact 00:08:34.98\00:08:36.98 we might even have something that looks like 00:08:37.08\00:08:38.20 a toy. Now, lets look at James what does that look 00:08:38.31\00:08:41.03 like? An egg. Looks like an egg, but we're not 00:08:41.26\00:08:43.33 going to eat this, okay. Now, what I want to do is 00:08:43.36\00:08:45.85 James, I want to see if you can take this pencil 00:08:46.12\00:08:48.12 okay, it's a mechanical pencil. We're gonna try to 00:08:48.22\00:08:50.24 balance the egg, it has a little low tip right there 00:08:50.40\00:08:53.01 and maybe we could balance that right on 00:08:53.12\00:08:54.53 there. Okay, so balance it really good boys. Yeah. 00:08:54.66\00:08:57.28 Hang on, okay this is very difficult to do and 00:08:57.53\00:09:00.14 you have to have really good balance, I can't do 00:09:00.17\00:09:02.41 it at all James. But I'd be surprised if it's gonna 00:09:02.44\00:09:05.25 work today and it almost hit didn't it. 00:09:05.34\00:09:07.59 There is something kind of unique about this little 00:09:08.22\00:09:10.68 egg. This little egg has a little motor in it, 00:09:10.85\00:09:13.07 can you see some wheels right here, there's a 00:09:13.45\00:09:15.61 couple wheels in here, actually this little egg 00:09:15.81\00:09:18.18 happens be what we call a Gyroscope. Say it 00:09:18.43\00:09:21.50 gyroscope, now we can put this right in here 00:09:22.00\00:09:24.99 just like that James and lets see if we can get it 00:09:25.11\00:09:27.17 all tidy up. Hey, this a little button right there, 00:09:27.33\00:09:29.58 can, can you push that button for me. Can you 00:09:29.94\00:09:34.40 hear something. What do you hear? A motor. 00:09:34.43\00:09:38.32 A motor starting to run, can you hear the motor. 00:09:38.63\00:09:40.34 Yes. Which sounds like it's going to take off. 00:09:40.94\00:09:42.90 Wow, this little thing is spinning inside and it 00:09:43.41\00:09:46.00 makes the egg very, very stable and it turns 00:09:46.13\00:09:48.92 it into a gyroscope. Yeah, lets try it now James, 00:09:49.03\00:09:51.51 put it right there on the edge and I am going to 00:09:51.75\00:09:53.54 let this thing go. Wow! Look at that, James, 00:09:53.75\00:09:57.37 that's wonderful, how are you doing that? 00:09:57.43\00:09:58.99 Is that hard? No. It's not hard, because the 00:09:59.29\00:10:02.74 gyroscope makes the egg very, very stable, 00:10:02.91\00:10:05.95 that's what gyroscopes do, they stabilize things, 00:10:06.45\00:10:09.78 that is so cool and it's slowing down a little bit 00:10:09.97\00:10:12.77 isn't it. In fact are you shaking or is it vibrating. 00:10:12.80\00:10:15.66 It's vibrating. It's vibrating, it's going 00:10:15.85\00:10:18.03 really, really fast and it's gonna slow down. 00:10:18.15\00:10:20.32 What do you think is gonna happen when it 00:10:20.61\00:10:22.07 really slows down? It's gonna fall. You're gonna 00:10:22.30\00:10:24.45 fall? No. Well, what's gonna fall? The egg. 00:10:24.64\00:10:27.48 The egg's gonna fall, look at the gyro, here goes, 00:10:27.72\00:10:29.48 it's slowing down and it's starting to wobble 00:10:29.60\00:10:31.90 and wobble and it's getting, it is less stable 00:10:32.07\00:10:34.90 isn't it and pretty soon it's gonna fall to the 00:10:34.96\00:10:36.75 ground, but I hope I'll or maybe I can catch it. 00:10:36.87\00:10:39.14 Hang on now. And we got it. James, you've done 00:10:39.55\00:10:44.00 a good job. Thank you for helping us with that. 00:10:44.03\00:10:46.10 Now, we've got something else over here. 00:10:46.71\00:10:48.43 Jonathan, what does that look like? A bike tire. 00:10:48.90\00:10:51.70 Looks like a bike tire, I'll tell you what we're 00:10:51.77\00:10:53.06 gonna do. I'm going to have you stand over there 00:10:53.09\00:10:55.07 and I have a little rope and we're gonna hang this 00:10:55.24\00:10:57.18 tire on the rope because a bicycle tire can make a 00:10:57.35\00:11:01.13 gyroscope as well. So, If l let my hand go is the 00:11:01.28\00:11:04.63 wheel gonna stay up? Jonathan. No. Well, let's 00:11:04.66\00:11:07.58 try it. I'm gonna let my hand go. It crashes to the 00:11:07.65\00:11:10.29 floor, the wheel is not stable at all, but what we 00:11:10.50\00:11:13.68 can do then is to spin it, James just like the egg. 00:11:13.78\00:11:17.51 We got the gyroscope inside spinning and it 00:11:17.74\00:11:20.17 made it very clearly stable. So, lets get it really 00:11:20.29\00:11:23.38 spinning. Right, here we go Jonathan, look it up 00:11:23.52\00:11:26.95 right here and lets let it go and watch it. Wow, 00:11:27.06\00:11:30.29 you see that? It stabilized the wheel, but the wheel 00:11:31.19\00:11:34.74 is still spinning, but did it fall? No. Didn't fall at 00:11:34.80\00:11:38.10 all. Hey, you know what we can do, would you 00:11:38.19\00:11:39.82 like to make a toy out of this boys? Yeah. Okay, 00:11:39.89\00:11:41.89 grab a hold of the wheel, show us how you can 00:11:42.17\00:11:43.82 make a toy out of that wheel and he is gonna put 00:11:43.86\00:11:46.09 it right there. Wow, a gyroscope, a spinning 00:11:46.12\00:11:50.47 wheel and it's very stable isn't it? Not falling off 00:11:50.64\00:11:55.15 isn't it, at all, not at all, that's interesting. Now, as 00:11:55.21\00:11:58.08 it slows down you know what's gonna happen? 00:11:58.11\00:12:00.31 Yes. What's it gonna do? It's going to rotate. 00:12:00.53\00:12:03.43 It's gonna fall off from the table and we just 00:12:03.46\00:12:05.11 better put it on the floor so it doesn't fall 00:12:05.16\00:12:07.55 and break the floor. Well, we've got something 00:12:07.58\00:12:10.20 else on the table over here. Can you hand me 00:12:10.33\00:12:12.01 that instrument over here? Now, James what 00:12:12.16\00:12:14.36 does that look like? I don't know. It's something 00:12:14.39\00:12:20.96 that hardly anybody has ever seen, because a lot 00:12:21.03\00:12:23.63 of people never get a chance to see this thing, 00:12:23.66\00:12:26.14 this happens to be a gyroscope and these are in 00:12:26.49\00:12:29.75 airplanes. This came out of a military aircraft and 00:12:29.81\00:12:33.68 you know what it does? The pilot looks inside 00:12:33.71\00:12:36.50 here and sees that little window and it tells the 00:12:36.55\00:12:39.34 pilot what the plane is doing. 'Cause there's a 00:12:39.51\00:12:42.17 gyroscope inside and it tells the pilot if the plane 00:12:42.33\00:12:45.69 is going like this or it's going like or if the nose 00:12:45.72\00:12:49.26 of the aircraft is going down or the nose of 00:12:49.34\00:12:51.68 aircraft is climbing up higher. This reminds me 00:12:51.84\00:12:55.38 of something very important, you know what, 00:12:55.50\00:12:57.20 you know that God is the stabilizing force in 00:12:57.79\00:13:00.57 our lives. Yeah, he really is, so that we don't crash 00:13:00.78\00:13:03.28 in the floor, so that we can balance ourselves 00:13:03.31\00:13:06.11 with all the different things that we need to 00:13:06.20\00:13:07.70 do and we can become a very balanced person. 00:13:07.74\00:13:09.99 But God gives us that power just like spinning 00:13:10.52\00:13:13.38 these wheels and spinning this little gyroscope 00:13:13.76\00:13:16.27 inside the egg, gives all of these things a balance. 00:13:16.33\00:13:19.71 That's what I want in my life, I want balance, 00:13:20.52\00:13:23.09 I want a guiding forc and every time we learn 00:13:23.49\00:13:26.49 something new about science we're learning 00:13:26.70\00:13:28.93 something new about our creator God. 00:13:29.03\00:13:32.23 Oh a new face in the market. Yes. I haven't seen 00:14:41.71\00:14:43.98 you before, who might you be? Lot's daughter, 00:14:44.11\00:14:46.96 Abraham's nephew. Lot, the wealthy Lot. 00:14:47.19\00:14:50.82 Yes, a sister, one of the three people who escaped 00:14:51.05\00:14:54.08 from Sodom and Gomorrah. Tell me the 00:14:54.18\00:14:56.35 story what happen? Well, actually it was four that 00:14:56.55\00:14:58.97 originally escaped. Four, I must know the story 00:14:59.14\00:15:02.38 well. It's an important story, let me tell it to you. 00:15:02.62\00:15:05.26 You know Lot, he's my father, he used to always 00:15:05.99\00:15:08.26 be sitting at the gate of Sodom and Gomorrah, 00:15:08.29\00:15:11.44 looking for strangers to come because he had such 00:15:11.67\00:15:15.22 a hospitable heart. We've heard about the 00:15:15.25\00:15:17.32 hospitality of Lot, it's legendary. Yes, yes, he 00:15:17.60\00:15:21.07 always would bring people in and a lot of the reason 00:15:21.18\00:15:23.67 because he was trying to keep them safe, because 00:15:23.84\00:15:25.91 the city became so wicked. Oh! Sodom and Gomorrah 00:15:25.94\00:15:28.82 are wicked cities, that it was not safe to be on the 00:15:28.85\00:15:30.05 streets. Yes, and so one evening he saw two strangers 00:15:30.18\00:15:34.47 and he invited them to our home and after he been 00:15:34.98\00:15:37.90 in our home a while we realized they were no 00:15:38.12\00:15:39.77 ordinary strangers. Really? They were angels of 00:15:39.97\00:15:43.24 God. Angels in that house. From heaven, and they 00:15:43.53\00:15:46.80 gave us a serious warning, they said tonight 00:15:46.96\00:15:50.22 Sodom and Gomorrah is going to be destroyed by 00:15:50.81\00:15:53.14 God. Their wickedness had been too much and so. 00:15:53.28\00:15:58.37 You ran away from the city quickly? No, my 00:15:58.40\00:16:03.01 mother and father, they really wanted to see that 00:16:03.55\00:16:05.77 he get their family and many other people to come 00:16:05.80\00:16:08.03 with them. Well, that's reasonable. And so they 00:16:08.32\00:16:09.86 asked permission and this angel said yes, but you 00:16:09.95\00:16:12.52 must hurry. And so they went out into the city, 00:16:12.62\00:16:16.44 my father did, and talked to my sisters who were 00:16:16.59\00:16:19.47 already married and had their own families. Oh! 00:16:19.52\00:16:21.61 So, they came quickly with you? Oh, how I wish 00:16:21.68\00:16:24.14 that was true. But no, they were so sure that 00:16:24.33\00:16:28.57 Sodom and Gomorrah couldn't possibly be 00:16:28.84\00:16:30.65 destroyed and you know when you've been living 00:16:30.85\00:16:32.64 in wickedness for so long, you just don't have a 00:16:32.74\00:16:35.56 reference for God and for his, his warnings. 00:16:35.65\00:16:38.47 So, they stayed. And they didn't believe. 00:16:38.50\00:16:40.23 They just laughed at my father. Oh! That's so. 00:16:40.78\00:16:43.70 So my father came back to the house very sad. 00:16:43.73\00:16:46.10 And so then your father left quickly with you. 00:16:46.57\00:16:48.70 Well, not exactly, my mother just could hardly 00:16:49.58\00:16:52.48 bare the idea of leaving everything they had ever 00:16:52.77\00:16:54.93 worked for. They had a beautiful home and many 00:16:55.14\00:16:59.27 possessions and that she just could not bare the 00:16:59.31\00:17:03.01 thought of leaving her daughters in the city. 00:17:03.04\00:17:04.98 And so they kept stalling and trying to think of 00:17:05.73\00:17:07.70 another way but finally the angels literally took 00:17:07.84\00:17:12.27 them by the hand, took us by our hands and took 00:17:12.47\00:17:16.29 us out of the city and then they said, flee to the 00:17:16.32\00:17:20.14 mountains and they disappeared but before they 00:17:20.33\00:17:22.69 disappeared they said flee to the mountains and 00:17:22.87\00:17:26.29 don't look back, don't even look back and as we 00:17:26.55\00:17:31.87 were walking, my mother started complaining and 00:17:31.94\00:17:34.74 saying, I don't see why God has to take us away 00:17:34.93\00:17:37.48 from all of our things that we've ever known and 00:17:37.58\00:17:39.67 our families and everything, it just isn't fair. 00:17:39.70\00:17:42.40 You know what was really happening is her body 00:17:43.36\00:17:46.61 was with us, but her heart was still back with 00:17:46.64\00:17:51.02 all of her possessions and her family. And so we 00:17:51.05\00:17:55.93 were going along, come on mother we've got to 00:17:55.96\00:17:58.09 obey the angels and as we were going, she was 00:17:58.31\00:18:00.99 complaining again, and she said, she said, and 00:18:01.22\00:18:03.40 look back at my house. And then she turned into a 00:18:03.49\00:18:08.29 pillar of salt in that very position of looking back. 00:18:08.49\00:18:10.94 Why would God had told her not to do? God had 00:18:11.43\00:18:14.12 warned her not to look back and she disobeyed? 00:18:14.42\00:18:16.82 Yes. It's a lesson that we should all learn. 00:18:16.99\00:18:20.96 My sisters and I, that a lesson for us too, it is, 00:18:22.08\00:18:24.13 we will never forget it as long as we would live. 00:18:24.43\00:18:26.25 When God speaks and when you're dealing with 00:18:26.52\00:18:29.22 wickedness. We need to obey God. We need to 00:18:29.45\00:18:32.47 obey God. Oh! thank you for sharing that story. 00:18:32.85\00:18:36.04 Nice. And tell anybody that would listen to you 00:18:36.16\00:18:39.65 about this story because it's very important that 00:18:39.77\00:18:41.81 people learn to obey God and honor. Yes, thank 00:18:41.94\00:18:45.50 you for sharing that story with us. you know 00:18:45.53\00:18:48.36 sister we need to be more obedient to God too. 00:18:48.47\00:18:51.30 Jesus loves me! This I know, 00:19:06.63\00:19:11.62 For the Bible tells me so; Little ones to Him belong, 00:19:12.00\00:19:21.69 They are weak but He is strong. 00:19:22.33\00:19:26.87 Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! 00:19:27.37\00:19:37.31 Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so. 00:19:37.96\00:19:48.55 It's time for Ms. Brenda's book of the day, 00:19:57.43\00:20:00.90 and today's book boys and girls is called The 00:20:01.56\00:20:03.74 Great Sleepy-Time Stew Rescue by Charles Mills. 00:20:03.95\00:20:07.42 Let's read, it says Alex Timmons is volunteering 00:20:07.83\00:20:10.22 in a Cyprus Hill soup kitchen trying to earn a 00:20:10.32\00:20:12.66 Pathfinder cooking honor. But his terrible-tasting 00:20:12.87\00:20:15.32 concoctions are anything but Award-winning. 00:20:15.59\00:20:17.56 When Ben Gabbert, an out-of-work chef, and his 00:20:18.07\00:20:20.41 family wandering in for lunch, Alex tries to get 00:20:20.47\00:20:22.79 some pointers. It becomes clear, however that the 00:20:22.99\00:20:25.32 Gabberts are homeless and hiding a very painful 00:20:25.53\00:20:29.25 secret. I wonder what that is, but I am not going to 00:20:29.43\00:20:32.48 tell you, your gonna have to read the book, 00:20:32.64\00:20:33.93 The Great Sleepy-Time Stew Rescue by Charles 00:20:34.33\00:20:37.44 Mills. And oh, that looks like a good book. 00:20:37.75\00:20:39.37 Well today we have a wonderful program for you 00:20:39.99\00:20:42.55 on sharing time, because I have a special guest 00:20:42.71\00:20:45.50 Matthew. Matthew, thank for joining us today. 00:20:45.66\00:20:47.84 And where are you from Matthew? Ringold, 00:20:48.53\00:20:50.04 Georgia. Ringold, Georgia. Well, before we hear 00:20:50.28\00:20:52.45 what you do to share Jesus, I have a special, 00:20:52.68\00:20:54.61 a couple of special friends on the phone, I have 00:20:54.85\00:20:57.15 Jodie and Jamie on the phone. Are you there? 00:20:57.40\00:20:59.53 Yes, yes. Well, hi Jodie and Jamie. Hi. I am so 00:21:00.36\00:21:04.43 glad to talk with you, let me ask you this Jamie. 00:21:04.60\00:21:06.87 What you do to share Jesus? I like to read Bible 00:21:07.03\00:21:10.23 stories and see the little kids come, my mom 00:21:10.58\00:21:13.94 babysits and tell them that Jesus loves you. Oh! 00:21:13.98\00:21:18.70 Jamie that's a wonderful thing to do. Let me ask 00:21:18.87\00:21:21.60 Jodie, Jodie what's your favorite part about Kids 00:21:21.70\00:21:23.93 time? I like to bring all my friends to my church, 00:21:24.07\00:21:29.89 you like to take friends to church, that's a good 00:21:31.72\00:21:34.46 way to share Jesus isn't it? Yes. Do you guys 00:21:34.54\00:21:37.16 watch kids time a lot? Yes. Yes. We always. 00:21:37.19\00:21:40.12 You always do, well I am so glad to talk with you 00:21:41.16\00:21:43.92 and I want to encourage you to keep sharing Jesus 00:21:44.05\00:21:45.97 will you? Yes, yes, alright bye bye now. Bye. 00:21:46.04\00:21:50.51 Bye. That was so nice wasn't it Matthew. And it's 00:21:50.81\00:21:53.79 always exciting to me when I here kids tell how 00:21:54.01\00:21:56.51 they share Jesus and that reminds me, you have 00:21:56.60\00:21:58.95 something you've done to share Jesus, what do 00:21:59.08\00:22:00.55 you do? I went Maga-booking and 00:22:00.58\00:22:04.62 Maga-booking. Maga-books are a cross between 00:22:05.28\00:22:07.50 a magazine and a book, they're kind of in between 00:22:07.66\00:22:10.28 and when you go Maga-booking you go door 00:22:10.86\00:22:13.04 to door selling the books that tell about Jesus. 00:22:13.07\00:22:15.73 Oh! you do and let me ask you this, is it ever hard 00:22:16.14\00:22:19.10 for you to meet strangers. Yeah, in fact a lot of 00:22:19.37\00:22:23.90 times, I really didn't want to go and knock on the 00:22:23.93\00:22:25.57 door, but I just, every door I went to I'd pray to 00:22:25.70\00:22:29.10 God that he would help me. Tell me, did you have 00:22:29.53\00:22:31.52 any really neat experiences from that? You met 00:22:31.57\00:22:34.97 anybody that really struck on your mind? Well, 00:22:35.18\00:22:37.38 I met one girl well she was I don't know about 18, 00:22:37.60\00:22:43.32 20 something like that, anyway, she brought a book 00:22:43.68\00:22:47.90 from us that was about is called, I think it's called 00:22:48.06\00:22:51.89 Peace Above The Storm and she said I could 00:22:51.92\00:22:54.60 definitely use that and so. So, If you really saw 00:22:54.86\00:22:57.74 that you think people that were purchasing the 00:22:57.87\00:22:59.57 books would really read them. Yeah, yeah, and 00:22:59.72\00:23:01.74 you know I want to ask you this, did you pray 00:23:01.77\00:23:03.41 about, about them afterwards to make sure 00:23:03.61\00:23:05.29 the Holy Spirit was just really working on their 00:23:05.35\00:23:07.01 heart. No, that's, I can give you, Ms. Brenda give 00:23:07.09\00:23:10.44 you a suggestion that when you do that next time 00:23:10.48\00:23:12.28 after you, after you place that special book about 00:23:12.63\00:23:15.01 God in their hands, when you live that home just 00:23:15.07\00:23:17.46 pray an extra special prayer and ask the Holy 00:23:17.72\00:23:19.57 Spirit to really talk to their heart. Okay. Okay. 00:23:19.69\00:23:22.88 That's good, well thank you, did you enjoy 00:23:22.93\00:23:24.38 sharing Jesus. Yeah, I kind of, I was nervous. 00:23:24.55\00:23:28.66 You were nervous? Yeah. But you know the more 00:23:28.69\00:23:30.48 you share Jesus the easier it's gonna get for you 00:23:30.51\00:23:32.29 isn't it? I'm proud of you Matthew, that's 00:23:32.37\00:23:34.25 wonderful and you know what other boys and 00:23:34.29\00:23:35.95 girls, when they're, I'm seeing you on this 00:23:36.05\00:23:37.69 program I bet you they're gonna look at this and 00:23:37.93\00:23:39.32 say you know what Matthew admits he was 00:23:39.35\00:23:40.98 nervous, but he still could do it. You know maybe 00:23:41.10\00:23:43.73 I could too. Isn't that right boys and girls, 00:23:43.95\00:23:45.77 that's a wonderful way to witness. 00:23:45.88\00:23:47.21 Well, I have a couple of letters here let's see, 00:23:47.81\00:23:49.50 let's read an email. The Celiac Sprue means 00:24:24.35\00:24:27.15 I can't eat food containing gluten, it's pretty 00:24:27.26\00:24:29.60 complicated but I guess I live with it just fine. 00:24:29.85\00:24:32.25 Please pray for me, love Katelyn, and Katelyn, 00:24:33.11\00:24:35.32 from Sandy, Oregon.
