00:03 It's time to share there's a world out
00:06 there, Looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:10 It's time to share there's a world out 00:13 there; let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:17 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:20 Kids time, kids time, kids time. 00:27 Oh! Oh! Hi boys and girls today I brought 00:31 some pictures from my wedding to show 00:33 you. Do you know, I just love looking at 00:34 these pictures? My husband and I, we love 00:37 each other so much. And, I really love 00:39 remembering how we met. Do you know, 00:42 my husband sat right across the aisle from 00:44 airplane, that's how we met him? And, I move 00:47 right away that I was going to marry him in 00:49 fact. I told my girlfriend that very 00:51 night that he was the man I was gonna marry. 00:54 Now, she didn't really believe me, but you 00:56 know, what six months later she was a brides 00:59 meet in our wedding. Do you know, I love 01:00 remembering now only how we met, but how 01:02 we felt in love and got married. Do you know, 01:05 I've looked at this pictures so many times. 01:08 And, in fact I would like to show you some. 01:10 I would like to show you the picture of my 01:12 father, he is the pastor and he walked to me up 01:15 the aisle. And, you can see this one my face, 01:18 I'm so happy and then my dad walked right on 01:22 up and turn around and married us. And, this 01:25 was in the Alma Church in Almont Michigan. 01:27 And, it was such a special moment. And you 01:30 know what, there is even, a picture of us 01:34 cutting the cake and all doesn't that cake 01:37 beautiful my aunt Myrtle made that cake and I 01:39 just loved it. And, you can see how happy 01:42 were and that cake was delicious. I remember 01:45 that too. You know, our specially though love 01:47 have all of those precious moments and 01:49 that I love to remember. The one have really 01:52 love most, is that I love the thing of how we 01:54 will spend eternity together in heaven from 01:56 day. What a perfect end to a perfect love story 02:00 and a perfect end that will go on forever. 02:03 Have you ever asked your mom and dad, 02:05 how they got together. I'm sure they would be 02:06 happy to tell you their story. But and today 02:10 we're going here from the women in the 02:11 Bible, who tells how she met and fall in love 02:14 with her famous husband. Now, they first met 02:17 at the side of the well, where she had come to 02:19 get water for her sheep. Now, you'll get to see 02:21 the twinkle that comes into her eye, when she 02:23 tells her story. She even gets more excited 02:26 when she tells about her husband's childhood 02:28 and how God raised him out to be a hero. 02:32 But first let's see what Ranger Jim 02:34 has to share with us today. 02:42 Hi, boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying. 02:44 Welcome to our Nature Time. We're glad that 02:45 you can join us today. We're in Gatlinburg 02:48 Tennessee the place called Ripley's Aquarium 02:50 of the Smokies, and a fun place this is. 02:53 We've joined that so much here today seeing 02:55 so many beautiful and wonderful things. 02:57 In the background you'll hear some music. 02:59 This is background music in the aquarium, 03:01 but we're going to go ahead and just used it 03:04 for our program. Let's playing for us, okay. 03:07 And, we've my friends Katy with us today. 03:09 And, she knows about this creature. Katy, 03:11 what are these big beautiful creatures. 03:14 These are Giant Japanese Spider Crabs. 03:16 Beautiful, tell us something about them. 03:18 Well, there are the probably the largest 03:20 arthropod in the world. An arthropod, 03:24 what's an arthropod. Okay, an arthropod. 03:27 Arthro means jointed, just like our elbow, 03:30 yeah like our muscles here. Alright pod means 03:35 appendage or it like a foot. Okay, so they've 03:38 jointed appendages just like we do. 03:40 Oh! That's the long length. 03:41 Umm! Umm! Okay, and what do 03:43 these creatures eat. Well, they eat pretty 03:45 much anything, they can find. They like to 03:48 eat algae. They've specially shapes little 03:52 close there on the very ends, its kind a like a 03:54 a spoon and they can scrape algae off of the 03:57 rocks and even try open things like cramps. 04:00 They're, they're closure stone and up to do that 04:02 the. Oh! Yes, they're very strong. 04:05 And, and you tell me, I believe before that 04:07 some of the male, if we can identify, 04:09 because they've longer length. 04:12 Yes, they do as the males get older, once 04:13 they're mature they actually get very long 04:15 arms where they're pinchers are. 04:17 Now, what about the girl? How do we identify 04:19 the girls? Oh! Yes. 04:20 She have better hair. Well, they don't have 04:22 any hair. Yep. 04:24 But what they do have is very large flap on 04:27 their abdomen. That's basically their tummy 04:30 and they can hold the eggs their. 04:32 Wow! So, they don't lay their eggs on the 04:34 floor. Really no. 04:35 They lay egg in a pad, or yep. 04:36 Umm! Umm! And then the hold them 04:37 here. Okay, then when they hatch what 04:40 happens to the baby? The baby is go up 04:42 towards the surface the water and you know, 04:45 after their hatch, they're up there and 04:47 they're just floating around waiting for them. 04:49 And, ever man himself. Basically yes. 04:52 And, there are a lot of difference creatures 04:53 that we don't goes. Yes, a lot of different 04:56 creatures. So, out of thousands of eggs only a 04:59 couple will actually hatch. Where actually 05:01 they grow. Would survive to 05:02 be adult like these. Yep. 05:04 Now, would refined these around a reef, 05:07 whole we refined them in the ocean for a. 05:09 They live have pretty deep. They live pretty 05:11 deep down about 50 to 300 meters that's why 05:15 it's scientist uses meters. And, that's 05:17 about 150 to 1000 feet. Oh! Are going to take. 05:22 Okay, now, now tell me is there any special 05:25 part of the ocean where you would find these. 05:27 You would find them on damps perhaps or 05:29 you've hot water. Well, hydrothermal 05:32 vents any area where there is actually lot for 05:35 them to eat. They're pretty scavenge around. 05:38 They, they would be around in area wither, 05:40 when you're giving them to eat, they wouldn't 05:41 like that. Yes. 05:42 Okay, now, these, these creatures are salt 05:46 water though. They are salt water. 05:48 Deep water, salt water. Umm! Umm! 05:49 And you couldn't keep them in the aquarium 05:50 or anything like that. No, you need to lot 05:52 of special equipment to keep these crabs, 05:54 else about 40 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit and 05:59 that's very cold water. Very cold water. 06:01 And, and what do you feed them here, 06:03 just a special diet or. We feed them in a 06:05 sorted of different meats. Maybe shrimp with 06:08 the shells actually on. We feed clam, we will 06:12 also feeds squid and different types of fish. 06:16 Wonderful, it not wonderful boys and girls. 06:18 We just learned so much when we come and 06:20 see these creatures. And, I want to thank Katy 06:22 for coming and telling this about them 06:24 because I had never seen them before. 06:26 But we learned that lesson once again. 06:28 Our heavenly father made it and made it right 06:30 the first time. So, this is Ranger Jim again 06:32 saying, don't forget to tell the Jesus that you 06:34 love him, because he really does love you. 06:45 Hi, kids you let the here wrote to him, there is 06:48 sunshine in my soul today. She was a school 06:51 teacher. She loved kids. Unfortunately, 06:55 one day there was an accident what someone 06:56 do their slick hit her on their back. This is a 07:00 slate. She had to be a cast for six months, 07:05 well her back heal. When she finally got to 07:07 go outside again the trees, green grass and 07:11 flowers and the even though sunshine cast her 07:13 heart overflows gladness and wrote to him, 07:16 there is sunshine in my soul today. 07:22 There is sunshine in my soul today, 07:26 More glorious and bright 07:30 Than glows in any earthly sky, 07:33 For Jesus is my Light. 07:38 O there's sunshine, blessed sunshine, 07:43 When the peaceful, happy moments roll; 07:47 When Jesus shows His smiling face, 07:50 There is sunshine in my soul. 07:56 There is sunshine in my soul today, 07:59 More glorious and bright 08:03 Than glows in any earthly sky, 08:07 For Jesus is my Light. 08:10 O there's sunshine, blessed sunshine, 08:16 When the peaceful, happy moments roll; 08:20 When Jesus shows His smiling face, 08:23 There is sunshine in my soul. 08:35 Welcome to Learning Time. I'm glad that 08:37 you're here today. Now, do you think that 08:41 you could make artificial gravity? 08:43 How many of you think, we can make 08:44 artificial gravity? You know, some people 08:46 think that there is a special room maybe 08:49 you've heard of this too at home, a special 08:51 room where astronauts train and then put on 08:54 anti-gravity boots and they just float around in 08:57 a room. How many of you ever heard that 08:58 story? Well, I've heard that story too, but I'm 09:01 here to tell you today that, that story is 09:03 absolutely incorrect. It's not true at all. 09:07 It's just a story, I made up story. Well, today 09:10 we're gonna do an experiment Hailey is 09:12 gonna help us with this. She could has our 09:14 experiment equipment in our hand. Now, let's 09:17 see what we've got right here. 09:18 Oh! What's that Hailey? This is the cup glass 09:21 of water. Oh! It's a glass of 09:22 water. This is some water. Now, would have 09:25 be possible Hailey me. Hailey for me to take 09:27 this cup and just turn it upside down. And, the 09:30 water stay right there in the cup. 09:33 No. No, so I couldn't 09:34 probably do that over your head. Could I? 09:36 No. Not we would get 09:37 all wet, but we can make artificial gravity 09:40 or we have to have is a graviton. Hailey, 09:43 do you have a gravitron? Umm! 09:48 Probably I think this might be a graviton is 09:50 something that made up. We're gonna put this 09:53 right here. And, I'm gonna get this moving a 09:55 little bit. And, let see if we can make or keep 09:58 this water in this cup. You think it will work. 10:03 Yeah. Now, we've got 10:04 our safety glasses on your better, put him on. 10:05 Sometimes it doesn't work very well. And, let 10:08 see if we can go all way over, right up here. 10:12 Wow! Are we spilling any water? 10:15 No. Oh! No, 10:16 it staying in the cup. We're making artificial 10:19 gravity that is so interesting or how 10:21 wonderfully we can go the other way. 10:23 Wow! Right over your heads. Man this is 10:26 great. There is one problem with this. 10:29 I don't know how to stop. You think, how to 10:31 stop little quick? No. 10:33 Not a good idea. Let see, if we can get this 10:34 going better right here. And, then we're gonna 10:37 stop. And, we're put it right over here, 10:40 Wow! Did we spill anything Hailey? 10:42 No, no. No, we didn't 10:44 spilling at all. Do you know, what you know, 10:46 if we're gonna travel in space we need gravity. 10:50 Because when our astronauts are in space 10:53 since there is no gravity or not much gravity, 10:56 we called it microgravity in space. You know, 10:59 what happens to our muscles in space because 11:01 there is no gravity. You know, what happens 11:03 to them? Well, our muscles just get weaker 11:07 and weaker and weaker. Our muscles called, 11:09 it something called a atrophy. They just a 11:11 trophy, they just whither away. And, so our 11:14 astronauts have to do exercises in space. 11:17 Sometimes we see our astronauts in space 11:19 working out, don't way. Oh! Yeah because 11:21 they need that gravity, they need forces on 11:24 their body. Well, God gave us gravity on 11:28 planet earth. Hailey, where does 11:30 gravity pull you and I? To the ground. 11:33 Right, to the ground. And, in fact gravity 11:35 wants to pull you and I to the very center of 11:37 the earth. Is this center of the earth that good 11:40 place to be? No. 11:42 No, but it really isn't, but scientist were trying 11:44 to get to the center of the earth today. 11:46 They really are trying to get to the very core 11:47 of the earth. Well, I'm glad that planet earth 11:51 has it's own gravity, won't you? 11:52 Yeah. Yeah, because our 11:54 muscles would just waste away, but it's no 11:57 accident that gravity is on planet earth 12:00 because God made planet earth. He made it 12:02 for you and I. So, our muscles can stay really, 12:05 really strong. Every time we learn about 12:09 science. We learn more about 12:11 our creator, God. 12:20 Espora tells how you met Moses please. 12:23 Okay, okay I will tell you the story. 12:26 Now, what happened was, this was a long 12:29 time ago, but as I recall they were these guys, 12:33 they were at this well and, my sister and I, 12:36 well we were all walking down. See, so we 12:38 can see when we get some water for our 12:39 father's sheep. Now, we get to the well and 12:42 these guys that tried shoo us away and they 12:45 are being mean and rude to us and there was 12:48 this other guy we noticed that was sitting 12:50 on the other side of the well. Now, he was so 12:55 handsome. I just knew, I'm looking around 12:57 and I merge my sister and she is merging me 13:01 and I'm like, oh, he is so handsome, but he is 13:03 sitting kind a quite. He seem like he was 13:06 down for some reason. Well, he noticed that 13:09 the guys are being rude to us. So, stands up 13:12 being the gentleman that he is, he stands up 13:15 and he starts protecting us. Not only that, 13:18 he shoo the guys away from us, but he gets 13:21 the water for us and fed the sheep for us. 13:24 We didn't have to do anything. So, we go 13:27 back to my pappa's house, right. And, I say, 13:30 papa there was this guy there and he was 13:32 protecting us and he even get the sheep for us. 13:36 Of course, my father is like. Well, why didn't 13:38 you bring him for dinner? I'm so excited at 13:41 this point. I went all the way back. Hoping 13:45 that he still there, right praying the God 13:46 God please that him be there. He was sitting 13:49 right there, when I ran and I said, my father 13:53 wants to like to join us for dinner tonight. 13:55 Well, he will let and agreed and he came back 13:58 to the back. Well, Hemp and my father are 14:01 talking and laughing, and talking and 14:03 laughing. They are having a time of their 14:06 life. The whole time I'm just sitting there 14:08 gazing over and praying to God, how could he 14:12 will be so handsome and God please let me be 14:14 his wife. To my surprise, my father decides 14:19 that Moses was just the man of God that he 14:21 would wants for one of his daughters. 14:23 Well, which one of his daughters of course. 14:26 Who do you think? You. 14:28 Of course, so my father decides that he wants 14:31 to have me marry Moses. Well, I'm 14:35 overwhelmed, but that's where we are now, 14:38 there is so much more to the story, 14:40 before Moses gets to the well. He was sad, 14:45 he so, so, sad because he had to fill the town 14:47 of Egypt. See the story goes way, way, 14:50 way back. What happened was Moses's 14:52 mother had a baby boy and she couldn't keep 14:56 the baby boy because they had a rule at that 14:58 time that no baby boys could be kept by 15:00 another parents. So, had any put in the Nile 15:02 River. So, she makes this basket, she puts him 15:04 in the Nile River and down the river he goes. 15:07 The princes sees him and orders for his sister 15:11 that a little Hebrew is like go that's want to 15:13 next to it orders for his sister to go found that 15:16 Hebrew to raised the baby. Of course, 15:18 she goes gets; she goes to get his mother. 15:20 She used to nurse the baby, so he is 15:22 12 years-old. Then of course she gives back to 15:27 the princes because the princes wanted to 15:29 raise that little boy. God put it in her hearts 15:31 just to want the love Moses and take care of 15:33 Moses. So, Moses is living there in Egypt, 15:36 living with the Egyptians. Wow! He gets to 15:40 them order and he sees the Hebrews around 15:42 him. And, he is taking at a put himself 15:44 because he wants to protect them. Now, of 15:46 course when you want to protect someone, 15:48 that's a good thing right. Yes. 15:50 But, does not the way, this was do, this was 15:52 the pray to God and as God to protect them, 15:55 but Moses took it up on him so try to protect 15:58 the Hebrews. And, that was the wrong thing 16:01 to do. So, he sees these Egyptian beating up 16:05 this Hebrew Israelites and my husband he gets 16:07 up and goes right over there and he kills this 16:10 Egyptian. Now, you know, I know that he had 16:14 in his hearts to do the right thing, 16:16 but sometimes we're not supposed to take it 16:20 up on ourselves. Sometimes we need to pray 16:21 and next got, what it is the he wants us to do, 16:24 but my husband didn't do that. He try to 16:26 protect his people and he try to work so hard 16:28 to protect them, that he ended up getting kick 16:30 out of Egypt and he, he ran so far because he 16:33 was so afraid that the Pharaoh was gonna kill 16:35 him. That's of course when I saw incident by 16:38 the well. You know, I know God has a plan 16:41 for my husband. I know God still love Moses 16:44 because that's the kind of got though we 16:45 serve, but it is so important for us to know 16:48 that if God has a plan, you just pray and we 16:51 ask him to revaluate to us. It is not an our 16:54 strength or not an our powerful as to try to 16:57 save people. We've to just to be used as 16:59 vessels and if Moses just would have 17:01 surrender to God and let God use him, then all 17:04 would have worked out perfectly, but the 17:08 lucky thing he just that even though he didn't 17:10 to be, but he was to do. God so blessed him 17:13 and blessed me and brought us together. 17:15 So, I know God so loves him and God has a 17:18 plan for him and need to all work out the way 17:20 is supposed to, but I will you kids, in their 17:23 future remember anytime you want to 17:25 intervene and steepened follow to your knees 17:28 and pray for us. You've to ask God what he 17:31 wanted to do, never take a step, never take 17:34 any move first in our own strength, 17:37 in our own mind surrender and acts the Lord 17:40 he wants and then it will work out beautifully 17:43 because his praise is always better than ours. 17:58 Jesus loves me! This I know, 18:02 For the Bible tells me so; 18:06 Little ones to Him belong, 18:10 They are weak but He is strong. 18:13 Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! 18:21 Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so. 18:37 Hi, boys and girls. I'm here with my friend 18:38 Jennela and she is gonna help to introduce the 18:41 book of the day. And, my choice for you 18:45 today is the Shoebox Kids book ten from 18:48 Jerry D. Thomas called Adventure on Wild 18:51 Horse Mountain, who have sounds good, 18:53 doesn't it. So, it's no sooner had the Shoebox 18:56 Kids arrived at wild horse mountain for a 18:58 week of vacation fun than creepy things 19:01 began happen. What was that a ghost hiding 19:05 behind the trees at the crook of the trail? 19:08 What is that it goes? And, who kept 19:10 "dog-napping" DeeDee's pet, Zack? 19:12 The mystery proved to be as big as the 19:14 wilderness that surrounded them, 19:15 so the kids enlisted the help of Shorty Wilson, 19:18 the camp horse wrangler. Together, 19:20 they hit the trail in search of adventure. 19:23 Little did they know that the adventure would 19:25 take a dangerous turn, resulting in more 19:28 "dog-napping" attempts, a close encounter 19:30 with a bear, Oh! Bear and it says in a broken 19:35 leg and a frightening trip down a mountain in 19:37 the inky darkness of a woodland night. 19:40 In this adventure, the Shoebox Kids solve 19:42 another mystery and they learn valuable life 19:45 lessons in working together, taking 19:47 responsibility for animal friends, and also 19:50 leaning on God in a crisis, and most 19:52 important, not to falsely accuse others. 19:57 But that does sounds good, doesn't it. 19:58 You've read the book to find out Adventure 20:01 on Wild Horse Mountain. Well, today I'm 20:04 happy to have you meet a friend of mine. 20:06 I've Jennela with me today, hi Jennela. 20:08 Hi. And, can you tell me 20:10 you've a lot of toothbrushes set an 20:12 over there. I'm wanted to do you brush your 20:13 teeth this morning. Umm! Umm! 20:16 You did, where you all those teeth for I, 20:17 Ms. Brenda brush your teeth morning. 20:19 So, why do you have all those toothbrushes? 20:22 Well, our family, we got ASI and we. 20:28 You know, what ASI stands for. It's stands 20:29 for maybe because boys and girls oh! My not, 20:33 you know, so ASI stands for 20:35 Adventist-Laymen's Services and Industries. 20:37 I believe that, isn't it, right. 20:39 Umm! Umm! Okay, and it's the go 20:41 ahead and tell me what that is. 20:42 And we're gonna share. We, 20:46 You see, every year they've a big, 20:47 big convention, right. Umm! Umm! 20:49 They get together and ASI does a lot of good 20:51 things for people don't think. 20:52 Umm! Umm! They do a lot of 20:53 thing to help other people, all over the 20:55 world and than they have a meeting once a 20:58 year, a big meeting overall, everybody comes 21:00 together and I think they plan all kinds of 21:02 good things, you're gonna do the next year, 21:03 you want to say. Well, in my Sabbath 21:05 school and, or what we're doing we've big 21:11 boxes and we will filling them with things and 21:14 we're sending them to Bangladesh. 21:17 To help the children there. 21:18 And, we're collecting some toothbrushes. 21:21 Wow! How did you get the toothbrushes? 21:23 Well, from some dentist. Dentist, now 21:26 I understand what your name is, is. 21:29 What's your dentist name? Dr. Moore. 21:32 Dr. Moore and also Dr. Vice has believe 21:35 donated to toothbrushes didn't they from 21:37 Hendersonville, is it North Carolina. 21:40 Umm! Umm! Yes, and that was really 21:42 nice and did you just go out, now your mom 21:44 took you over there and where did you ask 21:45 them. Well, my mom ask, 21:48 if we could have some boxes and. 21:52 Umm! Umm! And they gave some boxes 21:53 to us. Send whole boxes with 21:54 toothbrushes. Umm! Umm! 21:56 And, so they you could donate them to the 21:57 children over in Bangladesh. 21:58 Umm! Umm! And, so now what are 22:00 the kind of things that you said, you mention 22:01 your getting big boxes and lot's of kids are 22:03 helping to do this and they fill up the boxes. 22:06 You're the in charge to the toothbrushes and 22:07 you looks like, you did a good job. 22:09 Umm!
