00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there, Looking
00:07 for a friend like Jesus. It's time to share 00:11 there's a world out there, Let's tell them 00:14 that He loves us so. Let's tell them that He 00:18 loves us so. Kids time, kids time, 00:23 kids time, kids time. Hi boys and girls are 00:26 you out there, I can't tell all those lights are so 00:30 bright the light they using me take Kids 00:32 Time are so bright they nearly blind me. They 00:36 are shining right my face and oh, can't see 00:38 the thing. Oh, just a minute here let me try 00:41 this. Oh, I have got my sunglasses on, may be 00:44 that will be help, oh, yes that's much better. 00:47 Now I can see too much light can really hurt 00:50 your eyes. Do you know that scientist have 00:53 been studying light for a very long time and 00:56 they still don't know a lot about it. They know 00:59 what it does, but they really don't understand 01:02 what it or why it does or what it does. Light is 01:05 very mysterious. But, the Bible talks a lot about 01:08 light, ist was the very first thing it God created 01:11 at the beginning of time. And I can't wait to get to 01:13 heaven and ask God all about the light. Well I 01:17 can take my sunglasses off now, because I was 01:19 just pretending about it being too bright in 01:21 here. You know Jesus said, I in the light of the 01:24 world and he that follow with me shouldn't walk in 01:27 darkness if shall have the light of life. Why 01:31 don't you look that up in your Bibles at home 01:32 boys and girls? That's in John 8:12. Well 01:36 today's Bible story is about a man who saw 01:38 Jesus appear in a great flash of light. And the 01:41 light was so bright that they blinded the man. 01:44 And he was afraid he would be blind for the 01:46 rest of the life. He didn't know what to do, 01:49 but God had great plans for that man. We will 01:52 find out what happen in a just little while. But, 01:55 right now it's time that Ranger Jim said some 01:58 light on some other things God created. I 02:00 guess I better I keep my sunglasses on after all. 02:12 Hi boys and girls Ranger Jim saying 02:14 welcome to Nature Time. We are glad you 02:15 could be with us today. We are at Knoxville, 02:17 Tennessee at the Zoo and my friend Nathaniel 02:19 has something special for us. And Nathanael 02:21 what is this beautiful creature. This is what's 02:23 called a Grey Banded Kingsnake. You know 02:26 actually it's look like it should be an orange 02:28 Banded Kingsnake. However this snakes 02:31 are very variable in they color pattern, you know. 02:34 They can have huge orange bands or they 02:38 could have next to no orange. He has beautiful 02:41 it he? He is beautiful at way. Yes since they 02:43 are just about all ways grey, they got the name 02:46 grey banded. That's a good name for them 02:47 because so this and boys and girls, if you 02:50 touch a snake, many boys and girls who has 02:52 never touch a snake they and think slimy don't they 02:55 snakes aren't are they? Oh, no especially this species 02:58 because it comes from very dry desert out in Like 03:02 Western Texas and Northern Mexico. And I know enough, 03:07 I know the answer this because we are 03:08 handling it this is non poisonous snakes. 03:10 Oh, yeah this thing right here like most snakes, 03:14 it's a constrict it grab it's prey and squeezes it 03:18 to death. Alright and then it's diet would be what 03:22 small rodents or, Small rodents in the wild 03:25 they would eats a lot of lizards and other, 03:27 Yum, yum that's sounds like good. Oh, yeah, 03:30 because you don't have a whole lot of mammals 03:32 living in the desert that it comes from. 03:33 And so lizards and things are that nature 03:35 would be as. Now tell me about this is this a 03:39 common pet could you have keep this as a pet 03:42 boys and girls keep this as a pet? Oh, yeah this is 03:44 actually a very common pet that have in the pet 03:46 tray. They are really easy to care for and they 03:50 don't take a lot of maintenance. They only 03:53 eat about once a week. And so they are very 03:56 friendly to handle, you can handle him soon. 03:59 Oh, yeah, yeah most snakes and all especially 04:02 if you work with them and when they are younger 04:04 They handle will well, but these especially, 04:07 because as you can see it's not trying to do any 04:10 thing. No he just going round and, round and round 04:13 and up your arm and over there and over here 04:15 and that's a funny feeling boys and girls. 04:17 If you never felt that feeling of a snake 04:19 crawling on your skin, you can just feel the 04:20 rippling can't you. Yeah. As it goes long, and 04:23 the scales moving across. Ha-ha moving across 04:25 here like that. And in the Side Winder Rattlesnake 04:28 you seeing those when inside ways on the sand. 04:30 Tell me Nathanael this snake lays eggs and 04:34 reproduction. Oh, yeah this snake will lay somewhere 04:36 around about 10, 12 eggs in a clutch. And and then 04:40 they hatch the mother just leaves them and they 04:42 hatch. Still they hold barium and just leaves him. 04:47 Just leave him ever man from himself and when 04:48 they hatch that what? Like an angleworm or 04:50 they like a. They probably they are not too thin 04:54 but, they are about I would say 6 inches, that 04:58 they are real short. They are little bit guys 05:00 and any way they look at and they are predators 05:02 snakes especially we have birds and hawks and. 05:07 Yes there is a lot that will prey on him, infact 05:10 these guys were thought it one time to be very 05:12 rare, but it was discovered that they really 05:15 eternal and that's helps him to avoid many of their 05:18 predators. Alright, except the night owls and 05:20 things like that. Yeah, things like that, 05:22 can pick him real easy, well it is a very, very 05:26 beautiful creature. And we find both our program 05:28 that boys and girls who love snakes just love 05:31 and when we have a program of a beautiful snake 05:33 like this don say oh, yak I hate snakes, idont 05:36 like snakes. And they are very beneficial 05:38 to us aren't there. Oh, yeah they do a lot 05:40 to keep down rodent populations and now 05:43 especially in areas of like pounds and stuff. 05:47 So it's a very beneficial creature. Oh, yeah. 05:49 Another wonderful creature that we can see 05:51 and enjoy. Boys and girls don't forgot to tell 05:54 Jesus that you loves him. Because he really 05:57 does love you. 06:08 Errah, It's time for the introduction. 06:10 Oh, sorry uncle Buddy my mind was just wondering 06:15 Oh, my mind is that too. But I heard a text in 06:19 Philippians 4:8 were I tells us what were 06:20 suppose to think about. 06:29 I learned on the Bible text I think is really 06:32 great. I open up Philippians and read for 06:35 8 when my father lets me know that things 06:38 that I should think about. always he helps me keep 06:41 the devil out. whatsoever things are 06:43 true think on, whatsoever things are 06:47 honest think on, whatsoever things are 06:51 just and pure, and lovely think on these. If 06:57 this got good report; think on it, and he 07:01 virtue, and he any praise, that the way the 07:05 Jesus want your mind to be. If your mind ever 07:16 wonder a lost more than it should to places that 07:20 are bad as well as placed that are good. 07:22 The Spirit wants to keep our heart is pure as 07:25 they can be. Open up Philippians and see. 07:28 whatsoever things are true think on, 07:32 whatsoever things are honest think on, 07:35 whatsoever things are just and pure, and 07:39 lovely think on these. If this got good report; 07:44 think on it, and he virtue, and he prays 07:50 that the way the Jesus want your mind. 07:53 to be. I will be perfectsly when my mind says 08:07 I will be, whatsoever things are true think on 08:13 whatsoever things are honest think on, 08:17 whatsoever things are just and pure and lovely 08:20 think on these. If this got good report; think 08:26 on it, and he virtue, and he any praise, that the 08:32 way the Jesus want your mind to be. 08:35 thats the way the Jesus want your mind to be. 08:53 Do you want to try new foods will my family 08:56 loves to try all new different things and 08:58 today I have a recipe for you that my family 09:01 loves, it's a new Indian recipe. So today we are 09:07 making Samosas. Let me read the recipe for you 09:08 3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed 2 tbsp of 09:13 canola oil 1 tsp of ground cumin 1 tsp ground 09:19 turmeric 1 tsp ground coriander 1/2 tsp 09:25 of chili powder 1 cup of frozen petite peas 09:29 Salt to taste. Now we let start with all your 09:32 seasonings and I have already got 09:34 skillet already heating here. And you going 09:36 have it on medium heat, we want to put 09:38 oil and all seasonings in. Be care full with the oil 09:41 is doesn't spot up on you. All the seasonings 09:50 spot put in and the salt. Now the recipe says 09:59 that to this cook the seasonings for about 10:04 one to two minutes but you don't have stand 10:06 here with a timer anything just get a 10:10 mixed up and you get the seasonings mixed 10:15 up the oil. Lets go ahead and add your 10:20 potatoes. Now the first thing learn before you 10:22 do anything is cook your potatoes. and the 10:25 potatoes are I've already peeled them and cubed 10:29 them and you can boil them in the water and 10:32 whenever you cook the potatoes or pass it for 10:34 that matter you wanna put salt in water or else 10:36 it's not gonna taste very good. And you put your 10:38 potatoes in and they already also cubed and 10:40 peeled. And your petite peas now. There is also 10:49 a peas like bigger peas, but my family likes the 10:53 petite once better. Mix all that up. Now I don't 11:03 know if you like a different foods but, my 11:05 family every time I go any ware out of the 11:08 country or even a different places my dad 11:11 always like, my dad always makes as he see what 11:13 everyone else we can go to any American as 11:16 restaurants. This is one recipe that we got here 11:19 in Indian restaurant that is very good. You 11:22 should be adventurous when you are eating. 11:24 And you get that all mixed up, I already 11:26 have some tortillas here and I have them in foil. 11:30 And you want to heat them before you do it 11:33 and I've choose in put these in oven and some 11:36 foil to heat him up. Because you don' put on 11:38 heat him on first will crack when you try to roll 11:41 them. Now these are also wheat tortillas and you 11:47 can chose to use, but I wheat better. And you 11:53 get the seasonings next step in here and you 11:55 will put them in just a little bit on the corner, 12:01 here and you can roll it once for both sides over 12:08 and then continue to roll it up, just like that. 12:14 I've a finish product to show you. You gonna 12:20 bake these 375 degrees and just they get little 12:25 bit brown and this is what they look like the 12:28 delicious you can eat them just bit him self's. 12:30 Like this you can cold or hot delicious. Also 12:36 you don't have to tears you can put him in 12:39 some bread dough you can wrap him some 12:42 bread dough. Well does not like just delicious 12:44 and good enough to eat, well, until next time 12:47 time keep cooking and eat healthy. 13:05 Oh, oh, Paul come here I've been waiting 13:09 to see you. It's so glad to see you, but I heard 13:14 about that incident on the road to Damascus 13:16 and I wanted to hear from you. What a life 13:19 change experience. What happen? 13:20 Well you know I was going after those that 13:22 new fanatical group the followers all the way, I 13:26 had watch, Come over here, tell me about. I had 13:29 watch Steven months before killed, in fact that 13:33 even held their coats while they throw stones 13:36 at him. Even then the Holy Spirit started working 13:41 on my life. I got papers from the Leaders in 13:44 Jerusalem they come to Damascus to get 13:46 prisoners of the followers of the way. It was mid 13:50 day, I was on the horse, riding a head of 13:54 scheduled toward Damascus. Suddenly 13:57 there was a bright light, it was so bright I just I 14:01 try to shield myself from it, I fell off my horse. 14:05 Sure it one the Sun. Oh, it was powerful than 14:08 the sun my friend. I heard a voice say saw, 14:12 saw why do you persecute me. I said 14:17 who are you? who are you? I got up off the 14:27 ground I went to open my eyes and I open 14:29 them, but I couldn't see. You couldn't see? The 14:31 light was so bright. As I look it now I think 14:35 it's the only recorded occasion, where God 14:37 blinded someone so we could see. Wow! 14:40 I had a fellow lead me in, to a place to stay. I 14:45 want to tell you. My prayer light picked up, 14:48 I though I was gonna be blind the rest of my life. 14:50 Three days no food, no water, just prayer, just 14:57 prayer. There was knock at the door, a 15:02 fellow from across town, a father of the 15:04 way his name was Ananias. Yeah, yeah. 15:06 You know from straight street. Yeah. He came 15:09 in line was brother saw I don't know who it was. 15:16 He then went on to tell me the lord appeared to him 15:20 also and said go to my and he called me a servant. 15:26 Go to my servant saw and I told me he was 15:30 resistant. He was starting to tell God, that 15:32 he wasn't gonna go to me but, he did what 15:35 God told him to do. He placed his hands on my 15:40 eyes. He prayed something like scales 15:44 off my eyes, I could see and right there and then, 15:51 I was coming to the town to persecute 15:54 Christians, I became a Christian. 15:56 Wow! That's some story. Oh, the Lord have been 16:01 working on me for long time, but I kept 16:03 resisting, I kept resisting, but the Holy 16:05 Spirit that's beautiful Holy Spirit continues to 16:09 draws to the father. but Pharaohs must be angry. 16:14 Furious, I was one of them. Yeah. I was one 16:17 of them and now, I keep my eyes on Jesus, he 16:22 blinded me so I could see. Isn't that wonderful. 16:27 I don't know what he hasn't in store now but 16:29 I know I looked around town nobody trust me. 16:32 They all think I'm here to persecute them. But, 16:35 now I'm one of them. That's what you was 16:37 known for. I just want to God to 16:41 lead me wherever he wants me to go. 16:45 Praise the lord that was a wonderful story. 16:50 It's been good talking with you Gerrard, I 16:53 must go God bless you. God bless you too Paul. 16:57 Praise the Lord. 17:23 Jesus, Name above all names, Beautiful Savior 17:35 Glorious Lord Immanuel God is with us 17:49 Blessed Redemmer Living Word, Jesus 18:03 Name above all names Beautiful Savior 18:12 glorious Lord Immanuel God is with us 18:26 Blessed Redemmer Living Word, 18:46 Hi boys and girls it's time for Ms. Brenda's 18:48 Book of the Day. And let 18:59 me just share a little bit with you. It's back to 19:02 school time! The building and the desks 19:04 are new. That's all snooty May and Ethel 19:06 haven't changed a bit! It says it is 1899 the 19:10 students are learning about Captain Cook's 19:12 landing, the aborigines, and other fascinating 19:15 facts about Australia's history. One day Aunt 19:18 Rachel meets handsome Pastor Reid from 19:20 Melbourne, and love begins to grow! But 19:23 nice, polite Pastor Reid just happens to be 19:27 snooty Ethel's "uncle John." And that spells 19:31 trouble. A Sabbath visit leads to very important 19:34 announcement. Aunt Rachel is getting 19:36 married! A whirl of wedding preparations 19:38 follows. As Heather delivers invitations, a 19:41 laughing kookaburra startles her. But, the 19:44 voices she hears next, and what they are 19:45 saying about the bride- to-be, it shocks Heather. 19:49 Why can't the future in-laws learn to love and 19:52 accept sweet Aunt Rachel? Well one day I was, I 20:19 was at school and I saw my friend and he was 20:23 pretty mad, but he was sitting on the bench, so 20:26 I talk to Now tell me what the bench is when you 20:28 to sit on the bench, why do you would you sit on 20:31 a bench. Because your teacher sends you there 20:36 when your been bad. And do have sit on the 20:41 bench for like a long time or short time? 20:42 Sometimes short and sometimes long. It's 20:47 depends how bad you are, or you know. 20:51 Why did he have to go to the bench. 20:53 Because I don't know, well I saw that I forgot 20:58 But, he did something he shouldn't do until the 21:01 teach him in front of the bench and what happen 21:03 next? Then I was about to walk 21:08 down stairs then I remember something. 21:13 So I talked about him, but Jesus and told him 21:18 that if you do the Ten Commandments and read 21:21 the Bible and do the God says you always shin for 21:25 Jesus. And then you wouldn't be 21:27 in trouble any more and wouldn't have to sit on 21:29 the bench would he. What did he say when 21:31 you told him that? Thank you for the advice 21:34 and I happy were. Oh, so he wasn't middy, 21:36 if you're talked him like that. 21:38 No he seem to appreciate.
