00:03 It's time to share, there is a world out there,
00:06 looking for a friend like Jesus,
00:09 it's time to share there is a world out there,
00:13 let's tell him that he loves us so,
00:16 let's tell him that he loves us so.
00:20 Kids time, Kids time, Kids time.
00:24 Hi boys and girls, I wanted to ask you a
00:27 question today. What would you do
00:29 if you are a prophet of God and you found out that all
00:31 the other prophets of God in your whole country
00:34 had been killed? And what if you found out
00:37 an evil Queen especially wanted you dead.
00:39 Would you run and hide? Our Bible story today
00:43 is about such a prophet named Elijah
00:45 and the Lord did lead him into the wilderness
00:47 to hide for just a short time,
00:49 but then God led him back to the kingdom
00:52 even though his life was still in danger and note
00:55 only was he to confront an evil King and Queen,
00:58 but he was also to challenge the prophets
01:00 of the King's and Queen's, other Gods
01:02 and show them exactly who is the real God in heaven.
01:06 Now, I imagine Elijah was a little bit afraid
01:09 to do what God asked him to do, but he did it anyway
01:12 and now his story is one of the greatest stories
01:14 of faith and courage in the whole Bible.
01:16 You'll hear it told today by someone who lived and work
01:20 as one of the King's advisers.
01:22 He is gonna give us the inside scoop.
01:24 Boys and girls, it takes courage not only to be
01:27 a prophet of God, but also to be a follower
01:30 of Jesus, but God would give you all that courage,
01:33 if you ask him. Your life can be just
01:35 as exciting as Elijah if you stand firm for Jesus.
01:38 And Elijah received one of the greatest rewards
01:41 ever for his faithfulness. You can read all about
01:45 his story in the Bible and we'll hear
01:46 part of his story today, but first Ranger Jim has
01:50 something to share with us. Hi, Boys and Girls
01:59 Ranger Jim saying, welcome to Nature Time.
02:01 We are glad you can join us today.
02:02 We are at Paradise Ranch near National Tennessee,
02:04 where they have a wonderful program here
02:06 working with folks who are mentally or physically
02:09 challenged and they are teaching to walk
02:11 and to do other things. We have our friend with us
02:14 today this is Suzy and this is Doug over here
02:16 and we have a horse here and Suzy what's
02:19 this horse's name? Tony, Tony and is he is your friend.
02:22 Yes sir. Do you love this horse? A lot.
02:25 A lot, that's what I thought. Earlier today, we went
02:29 for a ride in the buggy and I saw that they had
02:31 a special way of getting you into the buggy.
02:32 How did they do that? By, in the wheelchair.
02:37 Did they take you from the wheelchair
02:38 and carry you over and put you in the buggy.
02:41 Yes sir. And I noticed when we were riding around
02:44 who was driving this horse today. Me.
02:47 Yeah, me. Okay and do you think
02:49 you did a god job. Yes sir.
02:51 I thought you did do too. Doug thought
02:53 you did a good job. We rode all the way down
02:56 around, coming back and enjoyed that and so
02:59 Tony is a special friend. Isn't he? Yes sir.
03:02 Alright, now is it true that you have never walked?
03:06 Yes, I have never walked. You have never walked
03:09 and boys and girls that's a lesson for you and for me.
03:13 How fortunate we are indeed to be able to run and play
03:17 and do something, do whatever you want to do,
03:20 and I've only known Suzie for a very short
03:22 period of time and every time I look at her
03:25 she has a smile on her face. And she has a kind word
03:28 and she is courteous and so we can be very
03:31 thankful for that. When you first came
03:33 and started to ride. You could ride horses,
03:35 correct? Yes sir, but then what happened.
03:39 My bones were starting to deteriorate
03:42 and so they deteriorated to the point where the doctors
03:45 were afraid it would cause injury to you
03:47 and so that must have been, was that disappointing?
03:50 Yes sir. And that was very disappointing.
03:53 And then you didn't know if you get ever ride again
03:55 or anything and I understand someone said you just wait
03:58 a while. What's going to happen.
04:00 That I might be able to ride a buggy or so.
04:03 Okay, someones making a buggy and maybe
04:05 you would get to ride in the buggy.
04:07 Did you think, that you'd ever be able to
04:08 a drive the horse? No sir. You didn't think
04:12 you would ever be able to drive the horse,
04:14 but you did, that was proved today wasn't it?
04:16 Yes sir. That you could do that.
04:17 Now tell me this, what is this we have over here?
04:21 A helmet. What we use that for? For safety.
04:26 For safety and once again boys and girls,
04:29 if mother and dad, teachers tell you have to a ride
04:32 with a helmet that's for safety purpose isn't it.
04:34 We have to do that and Doug over, is Doug your friend
04:38 is he one of your friends. Yes sir. Well he is a
04:41 good friend or? Yes sir.
04:43 Ha ha! And Doug how long have you've been here?
04:46 I've been here one year. You've been here one year
04:48 and you are one of the volunteers here.
04:50 Yeah. Right and Doug is a professional
04:53 horsemen. He raises horses on his own and
04:55 he is a volunteer here and has many places like this
04:58 volunteers are so important and we would have
05:01 them here and this old horse. Did you ever give
05:04 this old horse a hug? Yeah, well and he likes to be
05:09 hugged doesn't he? Someone was saying today
05:11 that this horse likes to be hugged and.
05:13 Now, is this true. Sometimes you might even give
05:16 him a kiss? Yeah. Yeah, maybe sometime
05:20 you even give him a kiss, when you have him up close,
05:22 probably go like that. She looked up at him and said
05:24 now don't you slobber on me okay. And so,
05:27 but that is wonderful that you can have a horse
05:29 and they take good care of the horses here.
05:31 Is that right? Yes sir. That's very true.
05:34 So, boys and girls, it's been so much fun today
05:37 to be here and meet Suzy and talk to her and learn
05:40 of that and see how you can have a smile on your face
05:42 even when you have great difficulties.
05:44 I think that's a great lesson that we all could learn.
05:47 So, Ranger Jim as always boys and girls saying
05:48 don't forget to tell Jesus that you love him
05:52 because he really does love you.
06:03 Hi, boys and girls, my name is Frederick Fillmore.
06:05 This may sound funny, but I am sometimes
06:07 referred to as the farmer musician.
06:10 All my brothers became pastors.
06:11 But I stay on my father's farm and later took it over.
06:14 I didn't write the words to the song, I will early seek
06:18 the savior, but I did write the music to it.
06:19 The next time you guys are singing this song in
06:22 church remember that this farmer musician wants you
06:25 to seek, early seek the savior while you are still young.
06:30 That was Benjamin Time playing the part of
06:31 Fredrick Fillmore. Boys and girls,
06:34 we are so glad that the kids here at kids time
06:36 haven't waited until they are old to seek Jesus, but seek
06:40 him everyday right now while they're young.
06:42 You can do the same. I will early seek the savior.
06:50 "I will early seek the savior"
06:52 I will learn of him each day,
06:58 I will follow in his footsteps,
07:03 I will walk the narrow way.
07:07 For he loves me, yes, he loves me,
07:12 Jesus loves me, this I know.
07:16 Jesus loves me, died to save me,
07:20 This is why I love him so.
07:25 I will hasten where he bids me,
07:29 I am not too young to go,
07:34 In the pathway where he leadeth,
07:38 Not too young his will to know.
07:43 For he loves me, yes, he loves me,
07:47 Jesus loves me, this I know.
07:51 Jesus loves me, died to save me,
07:56 This is why I love him so.
08:00 He is standing at the doorway
08:05 of escape from every sin;
08:09 I will knock, for he has promised,
08:13 He will hear and let me in.
08:17 For he loves me, yes, he loves me,
08:22 Jesus loves me, this I know.
08:26 Jesus loves me, died to save me,
08:30 this is why I love him so.
08:44 Do you like to eat Mexican food?
08:45 Well I love Mexican food.
08:47 But, this isn't your typical bean burrito.
08:50 This is a recipe that my family loves called
08:52 Tamale Pie. Let me go ahead and read the recipe for you.
08:56 Two 14 3/4oz. cans of cream style corn,
09:01 two 14 1/2oz. cans of tomatoes with juice,
09:05 one 8oz. can of tomato sauce,
09:09 one 3.8oz. can of sliced black olives,
09:13 1/4 of cup of canola oil, 1 tsp of salt,
09:18 1/2 tsp of cumin, 3 tbsp of corn starch,
09:23 1 cup of soy milk, 1 cup of yellow cornmeal.
09:30 And starting we're going to start with our tomatoes
09:32 and these are chopped up tomatoes
09:36 and I have a pan already heated here
09:40 in a sauce pan and next we are gonna put
09:43 in our two cans of cream style corn.
09:46 Make sure you get the cream style
09:47 not the whole cut corn, and we are gonna
09:53 put in our tomato sauce, now be careful to set aside
09:57 your corn starch, and your soy milk
10:00 and your cornmeal, because you don't want to put
10:03 those in quite yet. Next, we are gonna put on oil.
10:11 Now black olives or salts and our cumin.
10:24 Stir those up, now I remember when I am,
10:28 I was younger, I used to go to
10:31 Mexican restaurants and have all sorts of different things
10:35 for my birthday and they would always sing songs and sing
10:38 happy birthday in Spanish and we used to have
10:40 all different sorts of Mexican dishes like this one.
10:44 Now, we are gonna let that simmer for about 20 minutes
10:46 and while it's simmering. We are gonna bring over
10:49 our 9/13 pan and you're gonna spray it with your
10:54 cooking spray, make sure you get it good and sprayed.
10:57 Or else it will stick when you try to take it out.
11:02 Now you have my soy milk and my cornmeal
11:04 and this I mean you notice about this recipe
11:06 there is nothing, there's no eggs or anything like that,
11:09 because eggs are bad for you, so I've chosen to use corn
11:11 starch and that will thicken your recipe up for you.
11:14 Well, since this will be you know about
11:20 let it simmer for about 20 minutes
11:21 and it will be about done, but we are gonna go ahead
11:24 and put in our soy milk here and our cornmeal,
11:31 yellow cornmeal and then the cornstarch
11:44 and mix that up, now this kind of thing
11:50 you know this Mexican meal, you can fix with
11:53 you need some Spanish rice or some beans or
11:56 something like that and I know my family loved it, my daddy
12:00 my daddy, he kept going to the refrigerator and getting
12:03 seconds and my brother, my cousins, everyone
12:06 love this recipe, once you get it all mixed up
12:09 heat it up on the stove, gonna pour it into your 9/13
12:13 sauce pan, ooh! careful not to splatter it like that
12:24 it might splatter a little bit. Now you are going to
12:29 bake this recipe for on 325, 325 degrees for about an hour
12:35 and I have a finish product for you that I'll show you.
12:42 This is what it'll look like when its done.
12:44 Now it's going to be the tomatoes in the top
12:48 that I chosen to garnish it with.
12:49 You can just chop up little baby tomatoes
12:52 and make it look like roses and it's very pretty.
12:55 Notice you can eat it just like this or you can have
12:57 it with some Spanish rice or some beans
13:00 or refried beans or just plain rice
13:02 if you don't like Spanish rice
13:03 It's a delicious, delicious Mexican meal
13:06 and it's ready to eat. Well, until next time
13:09 keep cooking and eat healthy.
13:20 Those grapes are beautiful. Yes, would you like some?
13:24 Well, I think I would. Alright, they are two shackles
13:27 per bundle there. Oh! That's beautiful.
13:29 Would you mind put in them in the basket?
13:32 There you go, thank you.
13:33 Two shackles, thank you, I hope
13:35 you're doing well at your market.
13:37 Thank you. I would say the way
13:39 you're dressed you're doing quite well.
13:41 Well God blesses, God blesses.
13:44 I think maybe you charged me a little too much.
13:45 Well for you then a discount. Oh! Thank you sir, thank you.
13:51 Obadiah! How are things at the palace?
13:54 Well, I tell you it's pretty wild.
13:57 You know, since Jezebel is on the war horse...
14:00 Oh, That woman! That woman!
14:02 She is something; and she has killed
14:06 the prophets of God, all the prophets?
14:08 Went out and killed them, took them.
14:10 Yes, it was terrible, it was terrible and
14:13 she is after all the students, even the students.
14:16 Students too? Yes, now listen.
14:18 I'm gonna tell you something, don't you
14:20 tell anybody. I didn't tell anybody.
14:22 This is it. Okay. I took 100 of the prophets'
14:29 students and I hid them in a cave.
14:32 And I've been feeding them with bread and water.
14:36 God be with them, yes. So keep this quiet.
14:40 I will, I will, so things have been going now
14:43 what else is going on there? Well, Ahab came to me
14:46 and he said look, he says we can't find
14:48 any, can't find any food or water for they
14:52 well I know there's, for the animals.
14:53 This drought has just been terrible.
14:55 Yes and you know the interesting thing
14:57 about this is that the King doesn't know that I'm the
15:01 worshiper of the true God. And here I am in charge
15:05 of his palace, so he asked me, since we've got to find
15:10 food and water for the animals
15:12 so he said, I tell you what we'll divide up the land
15:15 you go one way, I'll go the other
15:18 and we'll look for water and food
15:20 and so I started out and I didn't get too far
15:24 and I saw a man coming down the road
15:25 who was it, well I couldn't tell at first
15:29 but as he got closer I thought oh! That is Elijah
15:34 the prophet. The prophet Elijah?
15:36 I saw him, here he was and I said,
15:38 is that you Elijah, he said yes.
15:40 It is, I have something for you to tell the King
15:44 what did he say, he said you tell the King
15:47 that I want to see him I said oh!
15:49 You're not going to get me into that. That
15:52 will be my neck. Well, yes, I'll go back to the King
15:55 and tell him that Elijah is there.
15:57 I'll come back here and the Spirit of God will have taken
15:59 you somewhere. It did last time, yes.
16:02 And then I will be in trouble and he says, oh no,
16:06 he says I'll be here because God has sent me here.
16:10 You tell the King to come. I said well, alright.
16:13 So, what happened after that? Well, I went back to the King
16:15 aha, and I said King and I've found Elijah
16:17 follow me and he did. He followed me,
16:21 he has lot of confidence in me.
16:23 I've never let him down, that's good,
16:25 so finally we came to the prophet and
16:28 sure enough there he was and he said oh! oh! You're
16:31 the one who has been troubling Israel
16:33 and the prophet said oh no not me you are the troubler
16:37 of Israel. Now I've something for you to do
16:41 this is directly from heaven. You get your prophets
16:44 altogether, the prophets of Baal, the prophets of
16:47 Asherah all of these and you bring them to Mount Carmel.
16:50 Ah, and I will see who the true king is.
16:55 Is that what you're here for right now,
16:56 that's well, that's going to happen. That's
16:58 going on right now, really and we will see what happens.
17:01 Wow, pray for me brother. I will, I will, yes.
17:03 God be with you, yes it's good to see you again
17:06 good to see you, I'll be praying for the prophets. Bye.

18:32 I am adopted, I am chosen,
18:33 I bear my father's name, just living the life
18:37 of luxury in the castle with the King.
18:40 Just living the life of luxury
18:43 in the castle with the King.
18:58 Hi, boys and girls, it's time right now
19:00 for Ms. Brenda's book of the day
19:02 and I am so excited to bring you this book
19:04 by Jerry Thomas, the Midnight Raccoon Alarm
19:07 and other stories. This book has so many exciting stories
19:10 and the one I wanted to just tell you a little bit about
19:13 is about the Raccoons and it says the Racoons
19:16 came back, James announced. They always scatter the
19:19 trash and we never ever even see them.
19:22 You know what we need to do, we need to make
19:24 an a Raccoon alarm, his brother Jacob said
19:27 something that wakes us up when they starts digging
19:30 in the trash cans, but what can we use.
19:32 I don't know, what would you use if you were making
19:35 a Raccoon alarm. If you like stories full of adventures,
19:39 surprise, mystery and fun. You're going to love
19:41 the Midnight Raccoon Alarm, and I am going to tell you
19:44 this story is exciting. So boys and girls
19:48 write down the name and of the website and
19:52 the phone number, so you can get this book.
19:54 The Midnight Raccoon Alarm and you're gonna
19:57 to enjoy that. Well right now
19:59 and something else you are gonna enjoy
20:00 is Mia. Mia I am so glad to have you back again.
20:03 Now were in Kids Time once before
20:05 and I can tell you boys and girls.
20:07 Mia loves Jesus so much and she is always
20:11 witnessing for him. She's told me so many
20:13 stories, I asked her to come back again and tell
20:15 you another one because in fact, she has so many
20:18 I didn't knew which one to choose.
20:19 There is no time tell them all.
20:20 But I am telling you Mia, why don't you share with
20:22 one, the one when you were working at your summer job.
20:25 As a matter of fact, what was your summer job?
20:27 I sold books with my Dad and my family.
20:30 What kind of books? They are Christian books,
20:32 kids books and adult books, on the life of Jesus.
20:36 Tell me about the story you were telling me earlier
20:38 that just really touched my heart.
20:40 Okay, as a summer job, we went to Tennessee and
20:45 we are selling books out there in the community and
20:47 I met this one person, who was, he was homeless, but
20:52 we had had some like really bad thunderstorms
20:57 and he had told me that he didn't even live at
21:00 the place, but he was staying there because the people
21:03 were nice enough to let him come
21:04 and spend the night because it was
21:06 too bad on the streets and I had gotten into my books
21:10 and I was telling him about them and he started, he said
21:13 he didn't have any money but he really, really liked
21:15 the book, on the book of Jesus,
21:17 it's the Desire of Ages. And I told him that
21:21 I'd gave it to him anyway just because Jesus loved him
21:25 and I would pray with him and he started crying
21:27 and he said that he had life of sin
21:30 and he didn't think Jesus loves him
21:31 and I told him that Jesus really loved him
21:33 and that he wanted him to know more about him
21:37 and so I was telling him and he was just so thankful
21:41 that I was able to stop by and tell him more
21:44 and pray with him and he said that nobody has
21:46 ever prayed with him before and it was really a good
21:49 experience for me to know that there are other people
21:52 out there and God also gave me that
21:53 experience again to be able to witness to people
21:56 like that. Praying for the Lord, that is
21:58 so precious. Isn't that precious boys and girls.
22:00 The way that you got a chance to witness like
22:03 that to that man and you know we never know
22:05 when we meet people on the street you know,
22:08 it maybe playing in the park.
22:10 You don't know where you are
22:11 that if you when you're touching someone's life,
22:14 when you have a chance to witness
22:15 for Jesus. You really don't know
22:16 boys and girls and you may never know on this earth
22:18 and you may have to wait till you get to heaven
22:19 to find out how you touched that person's life
22:21 but you have the ability right now to change
22:24 someone else's life for the better to
22:27 introduce them to Jesus and we need to take
22:28 advantage of that every chance we get
22:30 don't we. Well thank you so much
22:32 Mia, I would like to read a few letters to you
22:35 boys and girls and this one kind of a jingling one.
22:38 Let's see what's in here, there is some money
22:39 and I like to hold your hands
22:40 out let's see Mia, let's see it,
22:43 if I get it all in there, you got some change in there.
22:46 Let's see, and a picture and can you hold the change
22:49 picture too. Let's see, this one is from Kristen
22:53 in Davenport, Iowa. And it says,
22:55 Dear, Ms. Brenda, my name is Kristen
22:57 and I am four years old I share Jesus when my
23:00 friends come over and I love them and I care for them.
23:03 Could you please tell me how I could get a cooking
23:05 book with the recipes inside. I am sending a picture
23:08 of me, Levy and Marlin, my friends.
23:10 I am going to send something very special some
23:12 coins from my piggy bank. Keep this money to use for
23:15 the poor people that like to watch Kids Time.
23:18 I know that I've never written to you before,
23:22 but I would like to be a part of kid's club
23:24 and receive a coloring book. Thank you Kristen.
23:26 Well, Kristen, thank you so much that was so sweet
23:29 and you know Jesus knows that you gave him
23:31 your heart. And we'll make sure that that money
23:33 goes right where you wanted to go
23:35 and that's witness for Jesus. So, if you could put that
23:38 back in there for me and you could just hold that.
23:41 We have another one here from Ray Parker
23:43 in Silverton, Oregon. Let's see what Ray has to say.
23:46 And oh! We got another picture can you hold that one up
23:50 and it says, Dear Ms. Brenda, My name is Ray
23:55 and I am 10 years old, my great grandma
23:57 tapes your program, so I can see them
23:59 whenever I go to her house. Can I please have your activity
24:03 book, I really like the one that you showed on
24:06 the air and. I like cooking time,
24:08 I like the big spider that Ranger Jim showed
24:11 and I like to learn the Bible. Well, thank you so much
24:15 and I love that letter. And you know what I am
24:18 so glad that you like to learn the Bible
24:20 because you know what boys and girls,
24:21 when we learn about the stories in the Bible
24:23 we learn more about Jesus
24:24 and when we learn more about Jesus that
24:26 make us love him more and it just draws us closer to him.
24:30 So, you want to do that. Now this one from
24:33 Debra Smith in Lewiston, Idaho, and let's see what's
24:39 in here. Dear Ms. Brenda my name is Courtney,
24:41 I am nine years old, I watch Kids Time at home
24:43 and sometimes at my granny's house.
24:45 I would like to have an activity book
24:47 I would also like some Bible studies.
24:49 So, I could learn about Jesus and be baptized.
24:51 I would like to share Jesus, of Jesus and his love
24:55 with everybody I know because I know,
24:57 that Jesus is coming soon
24:59 your friend Courtney. Well, thank you Courtney,
25:02 Oh! Courtney, thank you for telling me that
25:04 you're going to be baptized. Boys and girls you know,
25:05 if you've made a decision for Jesus write and tell
25:08 me about it won't you, I love to hear the stories
25:11 that you are giving you're heart to Jesus.
25:12 And that you've made that decision, you thought
25:16 to be baptized. It says, Dear Ms. Brenda

25:47 singing and talking to people all around the
25:50 Unites States. I want all the children
25:52 to know that they cannot do anything without Jesus.
25:56 If all of us pray and serve him there is nothing that Jesus
25:59 will not do for us. And can you send me
26:01 the Bible studies, so I can give them to my friends.
26:04 I want them to know about the Jesus
