It's time to share there's a world 00:00:03.40\00:00:06.21 out there, looking for a friend like Jesus, 00:00:06.24\00:00:09.60 it's time to share there's a world 00:00:09.63\00:00:12.97 out there. Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:13.00\00:00:16.23 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:16.26\00:00:19.96 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:00:19.99\00:00:24.45 Hi, boys and girls. I am so glad that you 00:00:24.48\00:00:26.70 joined me today. Oh! Dear, 00:00:26.73\00:00:29.41 that's my cell phone. Oh! I hid it right here 00:00:29.44\00:00:33.73 behind the plant, just one second, 00:00:33.76\00:00:35.12 I'll be right with you. Hello, yes, Oh! 00:00:35.15\00:00:38.94 Hi, Honey. It's my daughter, just a minute. 00:00:38.97\00:00:41.91 Yes, Honey I don't have, you did what? 00:00:41.94\00:00:45.84 Oh! Really, well, that's wonderful news. 00:00:45.87\00:00:49.76 Honey, I really like to hear about it, 00:00:49.79\00:00:51.71 but you know what I am tapping the 00:00:51.74\00:00:52.85 Kids Time program right now. Honey, I am sorry 00:00:52.88\00:00:55.46 I am so busy. Okay, I'll hear all about it. 00:00:55.49\00:00:58.09 I'll talk to you tonight, okay. I love you; 00:00:58.12\00:01:00.13 I can't wait to hear about it. Alright, 00:01:00.16\00:01:01.89 honey, bye, bye. Oh! I'm sorry about that. 00:01:01.92\00:01:05.24 You know that was my daughter 00:01:05.27\00:01:06.60 and she just was so excited. 00:01:06.63\00:01:09.31 She wanted to tell me about some great news 00:01:09.34\00:01:11.19 she just has but you know I'm just so busy 00:01:11.22\00:01:13.18 and I've had so many interruptions today. 00:01:13.21\00:01:15.30 She just told me she got a big promotion at work 00:01:15.33\00:01:18.41 and she was really excited about it. 00:01:18.44\00:01:20.59 But you know it's Kid's Time right now 00:01:20.62\00:01:23.62 and I really didn't have the time. 00:01:23.65\00:01:25.37 I hope she understands, you know, 00:01:25.40\00:01:27.74 our Bible story today is about a mother 00:01:27.77\00:01:29.57 who got really frustrated when her daughter 00:01:29.60\00:01:31.62 interrupted what she was doing. 00:01:31.65\00:01:33.30 But what her child told her was really, 00:01:33.33\00:01:36.34 really important and in fact, the news changed 00:01:36.37\00:01:39.32 the mother's life forever. 00:01:39.35\00:01:41.06 Now, it's a good thing that she stopped 00:01:41.09\00:01:43.50 what she was doing and took time to listen, 00:01:43.53\00:01:45.81 isn't it? You know, boys and girls, 00:01:45.84\00:01:47.92 come to think of it. I think I'm going to call 00:01:47.95\00:01:50.92 my daughter back and I'm gonna let her 00:01:50.95\00:01:52.78 tell me her story. You all just go right ahead 00:01:52.81\00:01:55.76 and visit with Ranger Jim without me, okay. 00:01:55.79\00:01:57.74 I have a phone call to make. 00:01:57.77\00:01:59.51 Hi, boys and girls. Ranger Jim saying 00:02:06.92\00:02:08.69 welcome to Nature Time. We're glad 00:02:08.72\00:02:10.11 you can join us today. We are at Knoxville, 00:02:10.14\00:02:11.60 Tennessee at the Zoo and we have a beautiful 00:02:11.63\00:02:14.84 creature for you and John my friend, 00:02:14.87\00:02:16.88 what is this we have? Well, this is a 00:02:16.91\00:02:19.63 young green tree python. It's from the Island, 00:02:19.66\00:02:23.51 found in the Island of New Guinea. 00:02:23.54\00:02:25.27 There is also limited range 00:02:25.30\00:02:28.11 in Northern Australia. This snake was hatched 00:02:28.14\00:02:31.11 at the zoo and it's about 3 years old, 00:02:31.14\00:02:33.80 and will get larger, adults are typically 00:02:33.83\00:02:37.69 about 5 feet long and can get 00:02:37.72\00:02:39.88 as long as about 7 feet. That's a pretty good 00:02:39.91\00:02:42.24 size snake, isn't it like? Now, 00:02:42.27\00:02:44.56 the green camouflage is helpful 00:02:44.59\00:02:46.58 in finding food or this. Well, they're found 00:02:46.61\00:02:49.61 in rainforest, so that would be affected 00:02:49.64\00:02:51.59 camouflage either for hunting 00:02:51.62\00:02:53.40 or to avoid being hunted. Now, when the babies 00:02:53.43\00:02:55.94 first hatched, they're either red or yellow 00:02:55.97\00:02:59.24 or brown, and they turn green as they mature. 00:02:59.27\00:03:02.88 So this is an adult would have the green color. 00:03:02.91\00:03:05.57 Right, this one already has the adult color, 00:03:05.60\00:03:08.11 but he's not full grown yet. 00:03:08.14\00:03:09.99 Alright, what kind of a diet 00:03:10.02\00:03:11.63 would this creature eat? Well, in captivity 00:03:11.66\00:03:14.40 we feed him rodents, in the wild 00:03:14.43\00:03:16.28 they're more opportunistic. 00:03:16.31\00:03:17.81 They eat a variety of small mammals, birds, 00:03:17.84\00:03:20.57 probably some amphibians and reptiles too. 00:03:20.60\00:03:23.50 So in that nature, whatever they could come 00:03:23.53\00:03:25.13 across they would eat. Right, right, 00:03:25.16\00:03:26.44 this is a fairly common snake in New Guinea. 00:03:26.47\00:03:29.58 The people that live there, their slang name 00:03:29.61\00:03:32.54 for this snake is a see walk because you see 00:03:32.57\00:03:35.64 them when you're out walking and it's actually 00:03:35.67\00:03:38.31 a pretty common snake there. 00:03:38.34\00:03:39.83 It being a very attractive snake 00:03:39.86\00:03:42.52 and one that's not imported very often. 00:03:42.55\00:03:44.79 They're very much sort after by zoos 00:03:44.82\00:03:46.70 and private collectors. Are they dangerous 00:03:46.73\00:03:49.70 to human beings? Well, not really like a lot 00:03:49.73\00:03:53.33 of arboreal snakes they had, that aren't venomous 00:03:53.36\00:03:56.72 they have long teeth that help them capture 00:03:56.75\00:03:59.81 and hold on to their prey, but they don't have 00:03:59.84\00:04:02.01 any type of poison, so even a big one 00:04:02.04\00:04:05.19 it just gives you about same kinds of scratch 00:04:05.22\00:04:07.71 a cat would. Yeah, the nasty bite that 00:04:07.74\00:04:09.94 require a doctor's attention like that. 00:04:09.97\00:04:11.48 Now, are they commonly kept as pets, 00:04:11.51\00:04:13.43 could you keep these as a pet or? 00:04:13.46\00:04:15.47 These are somewhat more inclined to have problems 00:04:15.50\00:04:19.01 then most snakes kept as pets. 00:04:19.04\00:04:21.70 They are kept in collections but usually 00:04:21.73\00:04:26.01 by more experienced people who have for 00:04:26.04\00:04:28.46 one thing it's a fairly expensive snake 00:04:28.49\00:04:30.65 most of the time, and they're more delicate 00:04:30.68\00:04:32.88 then a lot of the king snakes and rat snakes 00:04:32.91\00:04:35.29 and boas that people commonly keep. 00:04:35.32\00:04:37.25 Not something that you would wanna keep 00:04:37.28\00:04:38.51 in your own little place that you would keep 00:04:38.54\00:04:41.06 a regular snake then what would harm more people. 00:04:41.09\00:04:43.30 Well, you should have some experience 00:04:43.33\00:04:44.66 before you try to keep it so, 00:04:44.69\00:04:46.20 and animals like snakes. And of course this snake 00:04:46.23\00:04:47.70 receives professional veterinary care 00:04:47.73\00:04:49.56 all the time I think, right. Tell me, tell me 00:04:49.59\00:04:51.25 John about reproduction now they're egg-layers, 00:04:51.28\00:04:53.79 are they? This snake like the other pythons, 00:04:53.82\00:04:56.03 it's a egg-layer and the female will coil 00:04:56.06\00:04:59.15 around the eggs and maintain 00:04:59.18\00:05:01.31 their temperature, body something like 00:05:01.34\00:05:04.00 a shivering motion that we do. 00:05:04.03\00:05:05.70 She lays the eggs and bask and return to them. 00:05:05.73\00:05:09.60 Just to restore the heat she leave 00:05:09.63\00:05:11.96 for a short time. Right, right, and pythons 00:05:11.99\00:05:14.83 they do that yet. It's not really known 00:05:14.86\00:05:17.50 how much parental care exists than other snakes, 00:05:17.53\00:05:20.27 these two we said they just don't have any, 00:05:20.30\00:05:22.63 but some of the work that's being done with 00:05:22.66\00:05:25.29 some rattlesnake populations 00:05:25.32\00:05:26.89 in the Southwest and some other animals is, 00:05:26.92\00:05:29.18 is changing that and we're starting to think 00:05:29.21\00:05:31.34 that their behavior might be more complex 00:05:31.37\00:05:33.13 then we used to think. As we do more research 00:05:33.16\00:05:35.71 on that, we might find more about that. 00:05:35.74\00:05:37.02 We sure do, so we would find, 00:05:37.05\00:05:39.51 we would find that this snake would be common 00:05:39.54\00:05:41.96 in each where people would keep it there as a pet, 00:05:41.99\00:05:44.73 will they not, will they keep that 00:05:44.76\00:05:45.74 as a pet or Possibly. I, I know some places 00:05:45.77\00:05:48.71 where monkeys and small monkeys like that they, 00:05:48.74\00:05:50.97 people keep them as pets. Alright, 00:05:51.00\00:05:54.06 if a boy and girl sees a snake like this 00:05:54.09\00:05:58.53 or any snake I want you to reinforce this, 00:05:58.56\00:06:01.16 okay. I tell them, if you see any kind of a snake 00:06:01.19\00:06:04.15 you get an adult, right. The best thing to do is 00:06:04.18\00:06:08.20 just leave it alone. The most, 00:06:08.23\00:06:11.94 even with venomous snakes, the most 00:06:11.97\00:06:13.85 dangerous one is the one you don't see that 00:06:13.88\00:06:16.03 you step on and put your hand there by 00:06:16.06\00:06:18.03 a accident, but they really just need to be 00:06:18.06\00:06:20.53 left alone even a non-venomous snake 00:06:20.56\00:06:23.18 can give a painful bite, it, it's not medically 00:06:23.21\00:06:26.38 serious, but it's something you rather 00:06:26.41\00:06:28.50 have not happen. And also we don't know that 00:06:28.53\00:06:31.02 it could be a venomous snake, 00:06:31.05\00:06:33.20 so you do want to leave snakes alone 00:06:33.23\00:06:34.84 and have someone who knows what they do 00:06:34.87\00:06:37.38 and identify the snake for you 00:06:37.41\00:06:39.44 and then even then it's still best 00:06:39.47\00:06:41.24 that you don't disturb. Okay, Ranger Jim 00:06:41.27\00:06:44.59 boys and girls saying don't forget to tell 00:06:44.62\00:06:46.50 the Jesus that you love him because 00:06:46.53\00:06:47.94 he really does love you. 00:06:47.97\00:06:50.34 Hey kids, I would like to tell you a story about 00:06:59.06\00:07:01.38 the song we're gonna sing. Pastor Tyng 00:07:01.41\00:07:03.85 was a bold, fearless, uncompromising preacher. 00:07:03.88\00:07:06.51 Great crowds came to hear this dynamic young man. 00:07:06.54\00:07:09.38 In one meeting over 1000 accepted Jesus 00:07:09.41\00:07:12.29 as their Savior. Pastor Tyng boldly declared, 00:07:12.32\00:07:15.52 I would rather have my right arm cut off 00:07:15.55\00:07:17.69 then to not deliver God's message to you. 00:07:17.72\00:07:20.44 Wow, he sure was serious about that. 00:07:20.47\00:07:22.84 The very next week while visiting his family 00:07:22.87\00:07:26.25 in the country, Pastor Tyng's arm was cut 00:07:26.28\00:07:28.19 in a corn threshing machine. 00:07:28.22\00:07:29.68 As a result to this he lost his right arm 00:07:29.71\00:07:32.61 and two days later he died. 00:07:32.64\00:07:34.04 Before he died he said to his friends, 00:07:34.07\00:07:36.29 "let us all stand up for Jesus." 00:07:36.32\00:07:38.60 These words inspired George Duffield to write 00:07:38.63\00:07:41.76 the song "Stand up, Stand up for Jesus." 00:07:41.79\00:07:43.97 Stand up, stand up for Jesus, 00:07:51.34\00:07:55.49 ye soldiers of the cross; 00:07:55.52\00:07:59.12 lift high his royal banner, 00:07:59.15\00:08:02.92 it must not suffer loss. From victory unto victory 00:08:02.95\00:08:10.58 his army shall he lead, till every 00:08:10.61\00:08:15.87 foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed. 00:08:15.90\00:08:21.78 Stand up, stand up for Jesus, 00:08:26.82\00:08:30.93 the strife will not be long; 00:08:30.96\00:08:34.25 this day the noise of battle, 00:08:34.28\00:08:37.94 the next the victor's song. 00:08:37.97\00:08:41.44 To those who vanquish evil 00:08:41.47\00:08:44.67 a crown of life shall be; 00:08:44.70\00:08:48.23 they with the King of Glory 00:08:48.26\00:08:52.33 shall reign eternally. 00:08:52.36\00:08:57.94 Welcome to Learning Time. Thank you for joining us 00:09:06.85\00:09:09.77 today. Now I've got a special helper with me 00:09:09.80\00:09:12.47 and Glenny, you're gonna help me 00:09:12.50\00:09:13.80 with a special experiment, are you ready? 00:09:13.83\00:09:15.73 Yes. Yeah, this is an experiment 00:09:15.76\00:09:17.71 that you can do at home and this is one thing 00:09:17.74\00:09:20.83 that you might need. We're going to use 00:09:20.86\00:09:22.63 a little dropper you, if you have an eye dropper 00:09:22.66\00:09:24.97 at home or a medicine dropper, 00:09:25.00\00:09:26.85 you can use that. I've got a little pipe out, 00:09:26.88\00:09:29.20 sometimes we use those in a laboratory, 00:09:29.23\00:09:31.66 and I'm gonna fill this up with water. 00:09:31.69\00:09:33.42 I'm gonna squeeze it. And we'll fill that up 00:09:33.45\00:09:35.19 with water. I'm gonna give this to Glenny. 00:09:35.22\00:09:36.89 Now Glenny, what I want you to do is, 00:09:36.92\00:09:38.56 I want you to put a pile of water right 00:09:38.59\00:09:40.39 on the penny. She's gonna drop-by-drop 00:09:40.42\00:09:42.25 put some water on that penny. 00:09:42.28\00:09:44.10 We're gonna find out, what happens 00:09:44.13\00:09:46.23 when we get a lot of water together 00:09:46.26\00:09:48.28 and it's gonna drop in the end, keep the whole, 00:09:48.31\00:09:50.91 Hey, that's interesting. Can you see that 00:09:50.94\00:09:53.45 the water is just kind of bubbling up? Oh! 00:09:53.48\00:09:56.54 Yeah, it just kind of making a nice little dome 00:09:56.57\00:09:59.51 on top of that water. That means that water 00:09:59.54\00:10:00.64 will stick to itself. That's what we call 00:10:00.67\00:10:05.45 cohesion, that's an interesting term, 00:10:05.48\00:10:07.47 isn't it? Now cohesion means that the water 00:10:07.50\00:10:10.49 molecules like to stick to each other, 00:10:10.52\00:10:11.97 and that I have a test tube right here, 00:10:12.00\00:10:14.35 and if we look at the test tube, 00:10:14.38\00:10:16.17 we'll be able to see that the sides 00:10:16.20\00:10:18.51 of the test tube, the water attaches itself 00:10:18.54\00:10:21.85 to the sides of the test tube 00:10:21.88\00:10:23.22 and it kind of goes up the side a little bit. 00:10:23.25\00:10:25.65 That's what we called adhesion, 00:10:25.68\00:10:27.52 and the water just wants to stick to the glass. 00:10:27.55\00:10:30.17 Well, we're really thankful that water 00:10:30.20\00:10:32.65 has those properties. Now, I did an experiment 00:10:32.68\00:10:35.84 just last night this is something you can do. 00:10:35.87\00:10:39.06 We got some flowers. What kind of flowers 00:10:39.09\00:10:41.21 are these? They're carnation flowers, 00:10:41.24\00:10:44.49 aren't they? And in fact, do they have any smell? 00:10:44.52\00:10:46.42 Yeah. Oh! Yeah, they've got a smell 00:10:46.45\00:10:48.71 I love that smell. Now, this is a white carnation 00:10:48.74\00:10:51.69 and then what I did was I put some blue food 00:10:52.11\00:10:56.34 coloring, it's just regular food coloring. 00:10:56.37\00:10:58.30 You just might have it in your cardboard, 00:10:58.33\00:11:00.04 and I put some red food coloring and two glasses. 00:11:00.07\00:11:03.53 Here are some white carnations that I put 00:11:03.56\00:11:06.72 red food coloring Oh! We just dropped one. 00:11:06.75\00:11:09.16 I put some red food coloring in the water. 00:11:09.19\00:11:12.07 What happen to them, Glenny? 00:11:12.10\00:11:13.91 They turned orange. That's right; 00:11:13.94\00:11:16.44 they turned kind of orange reddish, 00:11:16.47\00:11:18.14 didn't they? Then I had another one and I put 00:11:18.17\00:11:20.93 the blue food coloring in that and what happened 00:11:20.96\00:11:24.05 to that one, Glenny? It turns blue. 00:11:24.08\00:11:27.31 It turns blue, you know what happens? 00:11:27.34\00:11:29.63 Every plant needs water. Do you need water too? 00:11:29.66\00:11:32.96 Oh! Without water what would happen to us? 00:11:32.99\00:11:35.13 We won't live. We wouldn't live. 00:11:35.16\00:11:37.44 Everything needs water. Well, you know what God 00:11:37.47\00:11:40.32 made water to have those two properties cohesion, 00:11:40.35\00:11:43.48 it likes to stick to each other and adhesion, 00:11:43.51\00:11:46.12 water likes to stick to other things 00:11:46.15\00:11:47.90 and the water goes from the bottom of the stem 00:11:47.93\00:11:51.53 or the bottom of the roots of our plants 00:11:51.56\00:11:53.79 and it goes all the way up, we call 00:11:53.82\00:11:56.37 that capillary action. And the water goes 00:11:56.40\00:11:59.44 all the way up to the leaves and the petals. 00:11:59.47\00:12:01.70 Without that water going all the way up, 00:12:01.73\00:12:03.81 even to the highest trees our plants our trees 00:12:03.84\00:12:07.03 just wouldn't get the water that we need, 00:12:07.06\00:12:08.88 isn't that interesting? Oh! I think so. 00:12:08.91\00:12:11.72 God had that in mind when he planted, 00:12:11.75\00:12:14.42 did God plant a garden? No. Oh! He made a garden 00:12:14.45\00:12:18.96 and we call it the Garden of the Eden. 00:12:18.99\00:12:22.13 And all of those plants get watered. 00:12:22.16\00:12:24.67 The water came from the ground. 00:12:24.70\00:12:26.30 Water probably came from the air 00:12:26.33\00:12:28.05 and watered those plants. Every time we learn 00:12:28.08\00:12:31.39 about science we learn something 00:12:31.42\00:12:33.51 new about our creator God. 00:12:34.58\00:12:36.91 Mom, mom, you won't believe it, 00:12:54.50\00:12:56.64 you just won't believe it. 00:12:56.67\00:12:59.17 Sarah, where have you been? I have been looking 00:12:59.20\00:13:01.13 all over for you. The marketplace 00:13:01.16\00:13:02.79 is very busy today, but where were you? 00:13:02.82\00:13:04.92 Nowhere to be found that's where. 00:13:04.95\00:13:06.79 Now, get to work and no more excuses. 00:13:06.82\00:13:08.73 But, but mom wait till I tell you what happened. 00:13:08.76\00:13:11.34 Alright, alright. I was on the way to 00:13:11.37\00:13:14.92 Uncle Daniel's place to get the baskets, 00:13:14.95\00:13:17.00 just like you told me to do and I saw a 00:13:17.03\00:13:20.37 whole bunch of people standing around. 00:13:20.40\00:13:22.51 I heard someone talking and everyone was so 00:13:22.54\00:13:25.45 interested that I decided to see who it was. 00:13:25.48\00:13:28.52 I had to get little small and squeeze in between 00:13:28.55\00:13:32.03 all the people, and it wasn't easy either 00:13:32.06\00:13:34.51 because every one was pushing so hard 00:13:34.54\00:13:37.08 together so that they could hear. 00:13:37.11\00:13:38.70 Mom, you should have seen all the important 00:13:38.73\00:13:41.17 people who were there. Oh! Really, like who? 00:13:41.20\00:13:44.62 Well, there were Scribes and Pharisees 00:13:44.65\00:13:48.23 and Lawyers, lots of lawyers. 00:13:48.26\00:13:50.01 And they were all going to that 00:13:50.04\00:13:51.84 big beautiful house, you know the one 00:13:51.87\00:13:54.47 on the hill by the lake. Well, Sarah, 00:13:54.50\00:13:57.40 that's the most beautiful house in Capernaum. 00:13:57.43\00:13:59.33 And that's not even the best part. 00:13:59.36\00:14:03.06 Guess who's teaching in there right 00:14:03.09\00:14:04.95 in the middle of it all? Sarah, I don't have 00:14:04.98\00:14:07.30 time for guessing games. It was Jesus. 00:14:07.33\00:14:10.11 Jesus you say. I've heard stories about him, 00:14:10.14\00:14:14.16 but you can't believe everything you hear. 00:14:14.19\00:14:16.79 Well mom, just wait till you hear this. 00:14:16.82\00:14:19.22 Okay, child out with the story. 00:14:19.25\00:14:21.79 It was just incredible. After I got to the house 00:14:21.82\00:14:26.22 I found a little place under a table and learn 00:14:26.25\00:14:28.40 what Jesus was teaching. I started to listen 00:14:28.43\00:14:32.59 and I was so interested in what Jesus was saying 00:14:32.62\00:14:35.30 that I hardly noticed what happening 00:14:35.33\00:14:37.15 right above me. On the table? No, on the roof. 00:14:37.18\00:14:40.39 On the roof. At first I didn't even notice, 00:14:40.42\00:14:42.67 but then one-by-one the roof tops 00:14:42.70\00:14:44.89 started to disappear, by the time I looked up, 00:14:44.92\00:14:47.84 there was a great big hole in the roof 00:14:47.87\00:14:50.49 and then I saw four men with ropes lowering down 00:14:50.52\00:14:54.73 a blanket right through the hole 00:14:54.76\00:14:56.84 and the blanket had a man in it. 00:14:56.87\00:14:59.65 A blanket with a man in it? 00:14:59.68\00:15:01.37 Oh! Mom, he was a very sick man. 00:15:01.40\00:15:03.53 His arms and legs were all twisted and weathered. 00:15:03.56\00:15:06.30 All that he could do is lay there 00:15:06.33\00:15:08.32 and wait see what Jesus would do. 00:15:08.35\00:15:10.04 Then his four friends called up from the top. 00:15:10.07\00:15:12.47 Please Jesus, please help our friend, 00:15:12.50\00:15:14.93 but then some of the men in the room were angry 00:15:14.96\00:15:18.82 with the men for interrupting 00:15:18.85\00:15:19.96 their meeting and insisted that 00:15:19.99\00:15:22.14 the crippled man be taken away at once. 00:15:22.17\00:15:24.03 No telling them what kind of disease he had that 00:15:24.06\00:15:26.75 caused him to be so crippled 00:15:26.78\00:15:28.14 and weathered up, but mom I was watching Jesus. 00:15:28.17\00:15:31.30 He had the kindest expression 00:15:31.33\00:15:33.75 and his eyes were so full of love and compassion 00:15:33.78\00:15:36.82 like this man was family or something. 00:15:36.85\00:15:38.83 And then the strangest thing happened. 00:15:38.86\00:15:42.05 It gets stranger! Jesus looked right unto 00:15:42.08\00:15:44.78 the crippled man's face and said to him, 00:15:44.81\00:15:46.79 man, your sins are forgiven. 00:15:46.82\00:15:48.74 Oh! He forgave his sins! Mom, the room got 00:15:48.77\00:15:52.10 so quite I could hear my own heart beating 00:15:52.13\00:15:54.95 and then I heard someone whisper blasphemy. 00:15:54.98\00:15:58.20 No one can forgive sins but God alone. 00:15:58.23\00:16:00.40 But mom I don't think Jesus heard the man 00:16:00.43\00:16:03.08 because he was talking softly 00:16:03.11\00:16:04.87 to the crippled man, but then as if he knew 00:16:04.90\00:16:08.10 what the people were thinking, he said, 00:16:08.13\00:16:09.90 which is easier to say, your sins are forgiven 00:16:09.93\00:16:12.54 or rise up and walk? So what they say about that? 00:16:12.57\00:16:15.05 Well, none of them could answer, 00:16:15.08\00:16:16.89 so Jesus told them that he would let them see 00:16:16.92\00:16:19.37 that the son of man had the power on earth 00:16:19.40\00:16:21.52 to forgive sins. And he told the man to arise. 00:16:21.55\00:16:24.34 Take up his bed and go home. And so did he walk? 00:16:24.37\00:16:28.05 No, he couldn't stand long enough to walk, 00:16:28.08\00:16:30.46 he was running and jumping 00:16:30.49\00:16:31.71 and praising God. His friends couldn't even 00:16:31.74\00:16:33.79 keep up with him. He thanked Jesus 00:16:33.82\00:16:35.68 and he was gone. Well, what did the others 00:16:35.71\00:16:37.57 say about that. Well, they were all totally 00:16:37.60\00:16:39.98 amazed. Some glorified God and some just shake 00:16:40.01\00:16:43.30 their heads and said we've seen 00:16:43.33\00:16:44.74 very strange things today. 00:16:44.77\00:16:46.42 Well, Sarah, that's quite a story. 00:16:46.45\00:16:47.72 Mom, it's way more than that. 00:16:47.75\00:16:49.83 I don't even know how to explain it, 00:16:49.86\00:16:51.92 but now I feel all different inside 00:16:51.95\00:16:54.83 when I shut my eyes. All I can see is Jesus face 00:16:54.86\00:16:58.37 looking into the soul of that crippled man, 00:16:58.40\00:17:00.30 and when I make a mistake I see a poor helpless 00:17:00.33\00:17:03.62 crippled man who's make a new from his heart 00:17:03.65\00:17:05.96 right down to his toes. Mom, I saw Jesus today, 00:17:05.99\00:17:09.39 our life will never be the same. 00:17:09.42\00:17:11.22 Do you understand what I'm talking about? 00:17:11.25\00:17:13.21 Well, I am not sure Sarah, but I want to, 00:17:13.24\00:17:15.89 do you think you could take me to see 00:17:15.92\00:17:17.46 this Jesus for myself? Come on Mom, 00:17:17.49\00:17:19.48 let's go see Jesus. 00:17:19.51\00:17:22.54 My promise. Thomas, 00:19:16.82\00:19:18.74 Shoebox Kids Bible Stories Book 3. 00:19:18.77\00:19:21.95 And this is a wonderful book. 00:19:21.98\00:19:24.12 It says the Bible stories in this book start 00:19:24.15\00:19:26.02 with God sending water from a rock, 00:19:26.05\00:19:28.30 and they includes Balaam and his talking donkey, 00:19:28.33\00:19:31.47 and they ends with the fall of Jericho 00:19:31.50\00:19:33.81 and Achan's secret. The Shoebox Kids stories 00:19:33.84\00:19:36.86 that go along with those from the Bible start 00:19:36.89\00:19:38.78 with dry canteens on a hot sand dune, 00:19:38.81\00:19:41.28 Oh! And they include a puppy on the altar, Umh! 00:19:41.31\00:19:44.46 I wonder about that, its say and they end with 00:19:44.49\00:19:46.74 stolen chocolate all over Yoyo's face. 00:19:46.77\00:19:49.67 Oh!
