I would like to show you 00:00:24.56\00:00:26.73 a picture today. This picture is someone that 00:00:26.76\00:00:29.33 is very special to me. Someone I just loved with 00:00:29.36\00:00:32.68 all my heart. You see this wonderful man, yes that's 00:00:32.71\00:00:36.74 my grandfather and he is in his bib over out there 00:00:36.77\00:00:40.55 and he loved to work, he was a coal miner. 00:00:40.58\00:00:42.37 He worked in the coal mines for 47 years. 00:00:42.40\00:00:45.40 You know when my grandpa was alive, 00:00:46.14\00:00:47.64 I loved to crawl up in his lap and here all his stories 00:00:47.88\00:00:51.33 about when he was a little boy and I would try to 00:00:51.36\00:00:54.09 imagine what he looked like when he was little 00:00:54.12\00:00:56.15 and I just couldn't believe that he was ever anything, 00:00:56.93\00:00:59.69 but my grandpa. Well today we are going to 00:01:00.14\00:01:03.52 hear a story that happened to a very famous 00:01:03.55\00:01:05.83 grandpa in the Bible. We are going to pretend 00:01:05.86\00:01:08.47 that we are his grandchildren. 00:01:08.77\00:01:10.46 We will sit at the feet of two of his sons and hear 00:01:11.06\00:01:15.21 them tell the most unbelievable story. 00:01:15.24\00:01:18.00 They know the story well because they were there 00:01:18.86\00:01:21.07 when it happened. I'm not going to give you 00:01:21.10\00:01:23.97 anymore hints okay because it might give it 00:01:24.00\00:01:26.44 all away, but I promise you will love our Bible 00:01:26.47\00:01:29.22 Story for today. Why not we first though see 00:01:29.25\00:01:32.70 what Ranger Jim has to share with us. 00:01:32.73\00:01:34.59 Hi, boys and girls Ranger Jim saying 00:01:41.98\00:01:43.56 welcome to Nature Time. We glad you can join us 00:01:43.59\00:01:46.45 today have you ever seen Ranger Jim look better 00:01:46.48\00:01:49.14 than this. Look at these gorgeous flowers aren't 00:01:49.17\00:01:52.41 they just absolutely beautiful. 00:01:52.44\00:01:53.98 My friend Rosalie Peters this is her hobby and she 00:01:54.36\00:01:56.66 is going to tell you something about them. 00:01:56.69\00:01:58.27 Rosalie tells us about your beautiful flowers. 00:01:58.56\00:02:00.47 These are Phalaenopsis which most of the orchids 00:02:01.47\00:02:05.80 that are purchased are really the Phalaenopsis 00:02:05.83\00:02:07.83 and you can get them say like it the different 00:02:07.86\00:02:10.99 hardware stores or at your florist, but if you buy 00:02:11.02\00:02:15.46 them in a hardware store make sure that you are 00:02:15.49\00:02:17.47 there at the first day they come in because often 00:02:17.50\00:02:20.10 times they don't take care of them real well, they try 00:02:20.13\00:02:22.53 to over water them and if they do that you don't 00:02:22.56\00:02:25.51 have any roots on them by the time you buy them. 00:02:25.54\00:02:27.62 So these are the Phalaenopsis and you 00:02:28.03\00:02:30.14 grow those in your home about the same light and 00:02:30.17\00:02:34.14 water as you do your African violets, so lot of 00:02:34.17\00:02:37.90 people grow African violets. What about these lovely 00:02:37.93\00:02:40.34 things up here. Okay this is a Dendrobium and 00:02:40.37\00:02:44.04 in the winter time you bring it in I keep most 00:02:44.58\00:02:47.16 of my plants outside in the summertime and in 00:02:47.19\00:02:49.46 the wintertime you bring it in and you know water 00:02:49.49\00:02:51.56 it until you start to see the blossoms come out. 00:02:51.59\00:02:54.76 You just keep it completely dry and they 00:02:54.79\00:02:57.77 don't last as long as the lot of the other Orchids 00:02:57.80\00:03:00.63 do the blooms. They last about a week and a half 00:03:00.66\00:03:04.51 or two weeks is about all they grow. 00:03:04.54\00:03:06.36 We were talking a moment ago, people are 00:03:06.85\00:03:08.27 talking about their very favorite once and I just 00:03:08.30\00:03:10.75 love the one behind you all those creamy color 00:03:10.78\00:03:13.95 once and they are just gorgeous. 00:03:13.98\00:03:17.17 What are these? These are Phalaenopsis they 00:03:17.31\00:03:19.07 are the same as they just happen to different color. 00:03:19.13\00:03:21.83 Oh they are gorgeous and what about these? 00:03:22.68\00:03:25.51 Oh those are Phrags. They look like a lady 00:03:26.34\00:03:30.09 slipper. Yeah, they are Phrags and the lady 00:03:30.12\00:03:31.46 slipper family. There is a Paphiopedilum 00:03:31.49\00:03:34.05 and a Phragmipedium, and I get it mixed up 00:03:34.92\00:03:37.88 sometimes as you can tell, but the 00:03:37.91\00:03:39.66 Phragmipediums are the once that are bogged 00:03:39.69\00:03:41.99 plants and they grow out in nature where its very 00:03:42.02\00:03:45.67 very wet in the soil and hey require a lot of water. 00:03:45.70\00:03:50.30 The Paphiopedilums are in the same family, 00:03:50.92\00:03:53.69 but they don't require as much water and this one 00:03:53.72\00:03:56.82 is a species which means that it does grow wild 00:03:56.85\00:04:00.40 some place. The other one is like this one; 00:04:00.43\00:04:03.08 it was probably crossed with several species to get 00:04:03.64\00:04:07.15 the size of this one. This one is called Sunset, 00:04:07.18\00:04:10.72 which you can see why with the colors that they 00:04:11.58\00:04:14.87 have in it. Now tell me this Rosalie, look at an 00:04:14.90\00:04:19.59 Orchid they look so delicate like if you touch 00:04:19.62\00:04:21.96 them they will break or they really that delicate. 00:04:21.99\00:04:23.93 Well the flowers are pretty delicate, but the 00:04:23.96\00:04:27.32 plant itself although it's easy to kill them. 00:04:27.35\00:04:30.25 They are still a fighter, they will comeback often 00:04:31.21\00:04:34.72 when you don't think there is a chance. 00:04:35.25\00:04:36.56 They are quite hardy then they will when 00:04:36.88\00:04:38.53 could do that. Now what about this one? 00:04:38.56\00:04:40.54 This look like it's almost air plant is it hanging. 00:04:40.57\00:04:43.53 Yes, it's growing on a peace of drift wood and 00:04:43.56\00:04:47.82 one this is the first time its bloomed and I have 00:04:49.00\00:04:51.07 had this plant hanging six or seven years. 00:04:51.10\00:04:53.31 Maybe just for this program. You have to be patient 00:04:53.34\00:04:56.86 when you are an orchid grower. It teaches you 00:04:56.89\00:04:58.87 patience. Really teaches you patience okay, 00:04:58.90\00:05:01.25 because you can see when the shoots first starts 00:05:01.28\00:05:05.39 coming up with the bird, it takes time forever and 00:05:05.42\00:05:08.29 ever for it to bloom so that's patience. 00:05:08.32\00:05:10.96 Alright, you were talking a moment ago about 00:05:10.99\00:05:12.71 someone had cross these is that common in orchid 00:05:12.74\00:05:15.48 that you would cross two, yes, and get a different 00:05:15.51\00:05:17.57 combination. Yes, and so that's a special talent is it 00:05:17.60\00:05:20.96 or that's a special skill. It is and it's very difficult 00:05:20.99\00:05:23.47 that something I would never try to do. 00:05:23.50\00:05:25.13 You have to keep everything very sterol, 00:05:25.16\00:05:27.16 because if you don't you get mold and they just 00:05:27.61\00:05:30.65 won't make it. They just won't make it. 00:05:30.68\00:05:32.37 Boys and girls it would be nice if we had Rosalie 00:05:32.80\00:05:34.73 to be here for two hours, we don't have 00:05:34.76\00:05:36.91 that time today. Rosalie thank you so much for 00:05:36.94\00:05:38.88 coming and telling us about these beautiful, 00:05:38.91\00:05:41.06 beautiful plants. You welcome. Ranger Jim 00:05:41.09\00:05:43.19 saying as always boys and girls don't 00:05:43.22\00:05:45.35 forget to tell Jesus that you 00:05:45.38\00:05:46.59 love him because he really does love you. 00:05:46.62\00:05:50.14 Hey kids remember we are all kids of the 00:05:58.58\00:06:01.28 kingdom. I like to be a witness in the peaceful 00:07:58.53\00:08:03.51 way we live. Tell everybody about eternal 00:08:03.54\00:08:07.42 life our previous Lord can give. 00:08:07.45\00:08:12.52 We are kids of the kingdom, we are kids of 00:08:14.10\00:08:17.04 the kingdom and we love the Lord and we love the 00:08:17.07\00:08:20.50 Lord. I'm glad that you 00:08:58.46\00:09:00.77 have joined us again today. I have got a special 00:09:00.80\00:09:03.41 thing to show you. How many of you like to 00:09:03.44\00:09:05.43 go hiking? Oh, I love to go hiking and walking in 00:09:05.46\00:09:08.25 the woods. Well, I have got a substance right here 00:09:08.28\00:09:11.11 that's really special. I'm gonna go oh you know 00:09:11.14\00:09:13.91 what I think we better put our safety glasses on. 00:09:13.94\00:09:17.03 We got safety glasses for our first row over here 00:09:17.06\00:09:19.33 because what if something just might 00:09:19.36\00:09:21.33 happen to be pretty exciting. I'm gonna put, 00:09:21.36\00:09:24.09 I'm gonna pour some of these yellow powder in 00:09:24.12\00:09:26.46 my hand right here. Let's pour this in here. 00:09:26.49\00:09:28.39 Now that yellow powder that comes from a plant 00:09:29.05\00:09:32.59 that we find out in the woods. It comes from a 00:09:32.86\00:09:34.89 Lycopodium plant. It's like a little club moss. 00:09:34.92\00:09:38.16 Now do you think that this yellow powder might 00:09:38.60\00:09:41.18 burn? Do you think so? Yeah. Oh let's find out 00:09:41.21\00:09:45.00 I'm gonna take a match and I'm going to light this 00:09:45.12\00:09:47.49 powder and let's see if it just might burn. 00:09:47.52\00:09:49.86 I'm gonna put that match right in my hand just 00:09:49.89\00:09:51.57 like that. Did it burn? No, no in fact the match went 00:09:51.60\00:09:56.06 clear out, so I guess this stuff doesn't burn. 00:09:56.09\00:09:59.61 Would you think that? Yeah, well hey let's try 00:09:59.64\00:10:02.95 this again. Now I'm gonna take a match 00:10:02.98\00:10:05.56 I'm gonna let it burn again, but this time 00:10:05.59\00:10:08.02 I'm gonna pour this right out of my hand. 00:10:08.29\00:10:10.54 What do you think is gonna happen? 00:10:10.85\00:10:12.35 What do you think is gonna happen? 00:10:12.65\00:10:14.15 Well, we are gonna find out, let me get my match 00:10:14.66\00:10:16.27 burning right here. I'm gonna just move over 00:10:16.30\00:10:18.68 right here, so we will have just a little bit of 00:10:18.71\00:10:20.36 room. How about a 3, 2, 1 and I'm jut going to 00:10:20.39\00:10:23.99 spread those little tiny particles from the plant 00:10:24.02\00:10:26.36 and we are gonna let them go right over this flame. 00:10:26.68\00:10:28.76 How about it 3, 2, 1 and let's try this. Wow, did it 00:10:28.79\00:10:35.56 burn, yeah, oh man did it ever burn. 00:10:35.59\00:10:38.64 You know that reminds me. You know when we 00:10:38.99\00:10:41.32 have little tiny particles and we suspend them, 00:10:41.35\00:10:44.30 when we mix them with air and oxygen they 00:10:44.45\00:10:47.32 can really burn. They can be explosive can't they? 00:10:47.35\00:10:50.88 And you know that reminds me of something 00:10:51.46\00:10:53.00 very interesting boys and girls. If you and I are 00:10:53.03\00:10:56.65 in God's hand can anything hurt us? 00:10:56.68\00:11:00.26 No, no you know God will save us at the very 00:11:00.99\00:11:05.10 end; he will keep us safe for his kingdom, but 00:11:05.13\00:11:08.25 what happens if we get out of God's hand. 00:11:08.28\00:11:10.75 What happen when I pour this over the fly? 00:11:10.78\00:11:13.04 It burned up. You know you and I are safe for 00:11:14.04\00:11:17.38 eternity if we stay in God's hands. 00:11:17.41\00:11:20.00 Do you wanna stay in God's hand? 00:11:20.63\00:11:22.24 Do you wanna stay in God's hands? Yes. 00:11:22.91\00:11:24.90 Oh yeah I do too and remember when we learn 00:11:24.93\00:11:29.10 science we learn more about over creator God. 00:11:29.13\00:11:33.64 Uncle Jeff, uncle Jack can you tell us a story. Yeah. 00:11:41.42\00:11:44.95 What story would you like to about Noah's Ark. 00:11:47.62\00:11:51.27 Yeah. Okay, we can do that, we can do that, 00:11:51.30\00:11:55.68 we can tell you the story about Grandpa Noah. 00:11:55.71\00:11:58.30 A long time ago when Grandpa Noah was a 00:11:59.89\00:12:02.23 young man, he was about 500 years old. I am Noah. 00:12:02.26\00:12:07.80 That's right you have named after your 00:12:07.83\00:12:09.02 Grandpa Noah. The earth was really wicked, 00:12:09.05\00:12:11.43 nobody obeyed God and people did lots of bad 00:12:11.46\00:12:13.70 things and God decided that he wanted to wipe 00:12:13.73\00:12:16.24 the earth clean and have a chance to start 00:12:16.27\00:12:18.35 all over again. Well, Grandpa Noah always 00:12:18.38\00:12:21.30 trusted God, so when God told him to build a boat, 00:12:21.33\00:12:25.51 Grandpa Noah said yes Lord I'll build you a boat. 00:12:26.12\00:12:30.05 I guess you got to help Grandpa Noah to build 00:12:30.36\00:12:32.00 that boat. Yeah, that's right. Uncle Jeff and 00:12:32.03\00:12:35.31 I worked right along with that crew cutting down 00:12:35.34\00:12:38.35 the cypress trees and gathering up that sticky 00:12:38.38\00:12:40.56 pitch to seal in the seems of the ark. 00:12:40.59\00:12:42.58 It took us a longtime to do it, but eventually God 00:12:42.97\00:12:46.06 helped us to get that boat built. Now meanwhile, 00:12:46.09\00:12:49.00 while we are building the ark Grandpa Noah is busy 00:12:49.34\00:12:52.69 telling everybody about the rain that it was gonna 00:12:52.82\00:12:55.54 come, but everybody thought that Grandpa 00:12:55.57\00:12:57.88 Noah was crazy because nobody had ever seen 00:12:57.91\00:13:01.68 water falling down from the sky before, so nobody 00:13:01.71\00:13:06.25 listens to Grandpa Noah's warnings or his invitation 00:13:06.28\00:13:09.56 to join us on the boat. Well eventually we got 00:13:09.59\00:13:12.72 the boat done and it was big 450 feet long, 75 feet 00:13:12.75\00:13:18.57 wide, 45 feet tall with three levels with lots of 00:13:18.60\00:13:22.69 cages for all the animals that were gonna come and 00:13:22.72\00:13:25.24 a few apartments for us to live in. Wow that's cute. 00:13:25.27\00:13:28.81 Oh that is big. Well, when we got done God 00:13:28.84\00:13:32.07 had lined up the animals two by two to go right 00:13:32.10\00:13:35.88 onto the Ark and there were seven pair of clean 00:13:35.91\00:13:40.93 animals and one pair of every unclean animal and 00:13:40.96\00:13:45.29 they just march right onto the boat and we were just 00:13:45.78\00:13:50.54 there to let them into the cages as they came. 00:13:50.57\00:13:53.14 That's right it was like an angel that was leading 00:13:53.17\00:13:54.71 them right into that boat. It was a miracle seeing 00:13:54.74\00:13:57.13 all of these animals get into the ark. 00:13:57.16\00:13:59.24 It was absolutely fantastic and miraculous and so 00:13:59.54\00:14:03.88 we loaded our family onto the boat and then the 00:14:03.91\00:14:07.27 angel came and shut the door, but there wasn't 00:14:07.30\00:14:11.41 a drop of water inside. We waited for a whole week 00:14:11.88\00:14:15.95 before anything happened and then on the seventh 00:14:15.98\00:14:19.55 day we heard some peddler paddlers against 00:14:19.58\00:14:21.46 the side of the Ark and pretty soon the peddler 00:14:21.49\00:14:23.70 paddlers turned into some drumming and pounding 00:14:23.73\00:14:25.85 as the sky opened and buckets of rain dumped 00:14:25.88\00:14:28.47 out of the sky. The ground broke apart, 00:14:28.50\00:14:30.43 the underground river is gushed up and the water 00:14:30.46\00:14:32.80 begin to rise as the water rose, the boat went up 00:14:32.83\00:14:35.67 with it and pretty soon it was rocking back and 00:14:35.70\00:14:38.73 forth and our stomachs got queasy and you 00:14:38.76\00:14:41.40 should have heard the animals mow, 00:14:41.43\00:14:44.60 the elephants, it was incredible and then we 00:14:45.08\00:14:51.74 had to get used to it really fast because we had a lot 00:14:51.77\00:14:56.65 of work to do on the Ark. We had to feed the 00:14:56.68\00:14:59.07 animals, we had to clean the cages and we have to 00:14:59.10\00:15:02.01 lay out fresh stray for them. So meanwhile 00:15:02.04\00:15:06.28 when all of this was going on, we had lots to do. 00:15:06.31\00:15:10.47 We got used to it after all, we got used to this 00:15:11.21\00:15:13.33 queasy stomachs and we got use the stink that 00:15:13.36\00:15:16.39 was on that Ark. Do you remember how long it 00:15:16.42\00:15:20.00 rained, 40 days, 40 nights, that's right 00:15:20.03\00:15:24.36 about six weeks it rained, but at the end of the six 00:15:24.68\00:15:27.99 weeks we couldn't just walk outside of that Ark. 00:15:28.02\00:15:30.28 We had a pretty deep swim if we did from the 00:15:30.45\00:15:33.05 bottom of the lowest valley to the tippe top of 00:15:33.08\00:15:36.41 the highest mountain. The whole earth was 00:15:36.44\00:15:38.92 covered with water. It had to go somewhere either 00:15:38.95\00:15:41.62 had to evaporate or soaked back into the 00:15:41.65\00:15:43.41 ground again, but eventually we landed and 00:15:43.44\00:15:46.39 we landed on the mountains of Ararat. 00:15:46.42\00:15:48.97 It took us about five months before it hit the 00:15:49.37\00:15:51.51 dry ground. And so once we hit the dry ground, 00:15:51.54\00:15:55.71 Grandpa Noah started sending out a raven or a 00:15:56.25\00:15:58.63 dove to see if there was any dry land inside, 00:15:58.66\00:16:01.53 but every time the same thing happened. 00:16:02.04\00:16:04.65 What do you think happened? The rain came back. 00:16:05.43\00:16:08.00 They came back. The birds went out on a wide 00:16:08.33\00:16:11.94 sweeping circle and came right back to the Ark. 00:16:11.97\00:16:14.34 You know one day Grandpa Noah let a dove 00:16:14.37\00:16:16.43 out of the Ark and this time when it came back. 00:16:16.46\00:16:19.25 It had an olive leaf in its mouth. We knew that the 00:16:19.84\00:16:23.28 rain had ended that the water was gone away and 00:16:23.31\00:16:26.92 then soon we would be able to go out of the Ark. 00:16:26.95\00:16:29.70 Well then a week later Grandpa Noah sends out 00:16:30.68\00:16:34.72 that same dove and it didn't come back. 00:16:34.75\00:16:38.53 We went up to the top of the Ark with Grandpa 00:16:39.41\00:16:41.27 Noah. We took off the cover and there was dry 00:16:41.30\00:16:43.27 ground for miles around. God said it was time to 00:16:43.30\00:16:46.85 get out of the Ark. The door opened up and all 00:16:46.88\00:16:49.17 of the animals marched out, we went along with 00:16:49.20\00:16:51.69 them and the first thing we did was to raise an 00:16:51.72\00:16:54.84 altar hence worship God because he had brought 00:16:54.87\00:16:56.99 us safely through that storm. Well God accepted 00:16:57.02\00:17:00.49 our offering of thanksgiving and do you know what he 00:17:00.52\00:17:03.52 did. He gave us a rainbow. He gave a the rainbow in 00:17:03.55\00:17:07.84 the sky as a promise that he would never more 00:17:07.87\00:17:10.91 flood the world and so the next time that it rains and 00:17:11.31\00:17:16.74 rains and rains some more and you have to spend a 00:17:16.77\00:17:19.47 miserably longtime inside. Remember you 00:17:19.50\00:17:22.75 look for a rainbow because it's a promise of 00:17:22.78\00:17:25.49 God to you that he will never more flood the 00:17:25.52\00:17:29.84 world or you with anything, but his 00:17:29.87\00:17:33.70 wonderful love. Wow, that was a great 00:17:33.73\00:17:36.55 story thank you. You are welcome. 00:17:36.58\00:17:40.25 Unto thee O Lord, Unto thee O Lord 00:17:57.00\00:18:01.38 Do I lift up my soul, do I lift up my soul 00:18:01.57\00:18:06.25 Unto thee O Lord, Unto thee O Lord 00:18:06.28\00:18:10.70 Do I lift up my soul, do I lift up my soul 00:18:10.73\00:18:15.38 Oh my God, Oh my God, 00:18:15.41\00:18:19.28 I trust in thee. I trust in thee 00:18:19.31\00:18:23.84 Let me not be ashamed, let not 00:18:23.87\00:18:26.34 my enemies triumph over me. 00:18:26.37\00:18:31.77 Show me Thy ways. Show me Thy ways, 00:18:32.91\00:18:37.30 Thy ways, O Lord. Thy ways, O Lord 00:18:37.33\00:18:41.85 Show me Thy ways. Show me Thy ways, 00:18:41.88\00:18:46.26 Thy ways, O Lord. Thy ways, O Lord 00:18:46.29\00:18:50.91 O my God. O my God, 00:18:50.94\00:18:54.88 I trust in Thee, I trust in Thee 00:18:54.91\00:18:59.54 Let me not be ashamed, let not my 00:18:59.57\00:19:02.20 enemies triumph over me. 00:19:02.23\00:19:09.55 Reading is so much fun isn't it and reading the 00:19:19.45\00:19:22.14 right things is very important, so that's why 00:19:22.17\00:19:25.34 its time for Miss Brenda's Book of the Day 00:19:25.72\00:19:28.28 and my choice today is Spotted Boy and the 00:19:28.64\00:19:31.16 Comanches by Mabel Cason and let me just 00:19:31.19\00:19:33.99 read just a little bit about this exciting book. 00:19:34.02\00:19:36.67 Brown County, Texas was a good place to 00:19:37.37\00:19:39.51 live in spite of the danger, but no one dwelt too 00:19:39.54\00:19:42.85 much on that except during the summer that 00:19:42.88\00:19:45.49 the Comanches were active. Thad Conway 00:19:45.52\00:19:48.47 loved his life in Texas until one day he was 00:19:48.50\00:19:51.47 snatched away by the Comanches and his much 00:19:51.50\00:19:54.66 loved pony was given to another boy, a Comanche 00:19:54.69\00:19:58.24 boy. Thad was carried off a prisoner and from that 00:19:58.27\00:20:01.88 day on, his life was changed dramatically. 00:20:01.91\00:20:04.93 Here is the story of his life with the Comanches. 00:20:05.25\00:20:08.20 Did Thad influence the tribe to learn about the 00:20:08.68\00:20:11.24 true God? Did he ever return to his own people? 00:20:11.27\00:20:14.36 You'll have to find out the answer is to all those 00:20:15.10\00:20:17.60 questions right after you read Spotted Boy and the 00:20:17.84\00:20:21.22 Comanches. You aren't gonna want to miss this 00:20:21.25\00:20:22.95 book. It is an exciting book, you won't even 00:20:22.98\00:20:25.12 want to put it down till you done reading it. 00:20:25.15\00:20:26.99 Well, I'm excited boys and girls about a guest 00:20:27.73\00:20:30.64 I have with me today and his name is Caleb Palmer. 00:20:30.67\00:20:33.69 Hi Caleb, you know Caleb I'm so glad you 00:20:33.72\00:20:36.61 joined me here today. I'm so excited be here. 00:20:36.64\00:20:39.91 Hi, I made you a present. You did, what is this? 00:20:40.36\00:20:43.65 It's a homemade bookmarker. Well it is a beautiful 00:20:44.08\00:20:47.07 homemade bookmark too, I see you have written 00:20:47.10\00:20:49.23 my name Brenda right on here and you have 00:20:49.26\00:20:51.13 got some ice cream cones and a little car and heart 00:20:51.16\00:20:53.70 and star. Thank you so much, will you do me a 00:20:53.73\00:20:55.88 favor though, before you leave today will you 00:20:55.91\00:20:58.42 sign your name on the back of it for me and 00:20:58.45\00:21:00.33 Miss Brenda will put this in Bible and then every 00:21:00.36\00:21:02.36 time I see it off think of you. Okay, okay, well 00:21:02.39\00:21:05.13 thank you. Well you have come a long way, 00:21:05.16\00:21:08.31 where are you from Caleb? Ohio, Ohio and 00:21:08.34\00:21:11.88 how old are you? Eight, you are eight years old. 00:21:11.91\00:21:15.97 What grade are you going into school? 00:21:16.00\00:21:17.78 I'm homeschoolers. Homeschoolers. You get 00:21:20.12\00:21:22.90 ready to go on the second grade. Oh that's wonder, 00:21:22.93\00:21:25.31 do you like home school. Yeah. Oh, you learn lots 00:21:25.34\00:21:28.21 of things don't you? Yeah, I think you have 00:21:28.24\00:21:30.40 some wonderful field trips too. Don't you? 00:21:30.43\00:21:32.18 Yeah. Let me ask you this, what you do to share 00:21:32.66\00:21:35.83 Jesus. I see you brought something with you over 00:21:35.86\00:21:37.67 here. What is this and tell me about it? 00:21:37.70\00:21:39.42 Sometimes I make these flowers as 00:21:41.48\00:21:47.99 you could see here. That's look beautiful I see 00:21:48.02\00:21:50.91 you got all kinds of dried flowers there. 00:21:50.94\00:21:52.95 Yes, it's a dry flower picture. Now how do you 00:21:52.98\00:21:57.07 make that, do you dry those flowers yourself? 00:21:57.11\00:21:58.91 Oh well in the fall, we pick flowers and leaves 00:22:00.12\00:22:04.12 and we put them in phonebooks and when 00:22:04.15\00:22:06.48 they are dry mom and I put, glue them into 00:22:06.51\00:22:11.44 black construction paper as you see here and 00:22:11.47\00:22:14.45 I give them to people who are older and sicker. 00:22:14.48\00:22:17.10 Need to have a nice picture to look at all the 00:22:17.51\00:22:19.89 time don't they? Yeah they do. And then what 00:22:19.92\00:22:22.42 did people say when you give them the pictures. 00:22:22.45\00:22:25.33 They usually say thank you. You tell them that 00:22:26.93\00:22:30.48 Jesus loves them. You do and are they really happy. 00:22:30.51\00:22:34.16 Do you know I can tell you a little secret boys 00:22:35.25\00:22:37.02 and girls one thing that Caleb does it he dries 00:22:37.05\00:22:41.01 them in a phonebook. Well I know the yellow 00:22:41.04\00:22:43.18 pages of the phonebook actually has a chemical in 00:22:43.21\00:22:46.79 the pages of the phone, out of the yellow pages, 00:22:46.82\00:22:48.92 so that when you take your flowers and you put 00:22:49.25\00:22:51.20 them in that phonebook and you close the book on 00:22:51.23\00:22:53.56 them and you leave it to dry it actually that 00:22:53.59\00:22:55.15 chemical that helps dry them faster and keep their 00:22:55.18\00:22:57.46 color fresher, so that's why so many people dry 00:22:57.49\00:22:59.86 them in phonebooks and maybe not know why but 00:22:59.89\00:23:01.77 that's really what happens, so I think that's 00:23:01.80\00:23:05.33 a beautiful way to witness and make something 00:23:05.36\00:23:08.23 beautiful that you can share and give someone 00:23:08.26\00:23:11.00 you know when you made something like that 00:23:11.35\00:23:12.81 yourself you are giving from the heart is 00:23:13.11\00:23:14.90 just like this beautiful bookmark you made for 00:23:14.93\00:23:16.76 Miss Brenda to know that you made that yourself 00:23:16.79\00:23:19.23 for me, it means so much to me that every time 00:23:19.26\00:23:21.66 I see it, it will warm my heart, every time 00:23:21.69\00:23:24.42 everyone sees the person that you gave that to 00:23:24.45\00:23:27.18 and it will warm their heart too won't it. 00:23:27.21\00:23:29.24 So that's a wonderful way to share Jesus. 00:23:29.85\00:23:31.65 Would you like stay around and help me read 00:23:31.68\00:23:33.52 some letters.
