00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there,
00:07 looking for a friend like Jesus.
00:10 It's time to share there's a world out there,
00:13 let's tell them that He loves us so,
00:16 let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time.
00:24 Hi, boys and girls, isn't this a beautiful box?
00:27 Now looks like it could hold something
00:29 very special, doesn't it?
00:31 This actually belongs to my friend Dee
00:33 and she loaned it to me today,
00:35 so I could show it to you. Isn't that beautiful?
00:37 See how the detailed and the beautiful flowers right here.
00:41 Well, I'm going to set it down right here
00:42 because I don't want to break it.
00:44 It's very special. But do you know,
00:47 as you listen to our Bible story today,
00:49 I want you to think about this box
00:52 because there's a young woman in our story
00:54 that had a beautiful box.
00:55 And now it was probably even more beautiful than
00:58 this one because it was made out of alabaster.
01:00 And it did have something wonderful
01:02 and very expensive in it.
01:04 Jesus is in this story too and so as a man
01:07 called Simon, Simon the leper.
01:09 Now I'm sure he didn't have leprosy at the time
01:11 of the story, so Jesus must have healed him.
01:13 And I'm sure He forgave Simon sins too.
01:17 Now you would think that Simon would have been
01:19 thrilled when someone else did something
01:21 kind for Jesus, wouldn't you? But no, not Simon.
01:25 When he sees that beautiful alabaster box
01:28 and what it has inside, well,
01:30 but you're gonna have to wait and hear the story.
01:34 I think Simon did learn a lesson that day
01:36 though, and Jesus wants us to remember all that
01:39 He has done for us.
01:40 Do you know Jesus forgave our sins
01:42 and He even died on the cross for us
01:45 just because He loves us so much?
01:48 You know, boys and girls,
01:50 don't wait to give your heart to Jesus.
01:52 Give it to Him today.
01:53 Tell Him everyday how much you love Him. Wont' you?
01:58 All right now, Ranger Jim has something
02:00 very interesting to show us.
02:02 I can't wait. Let's watch and see.
02:10 Hi, boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying
02:12 welcome to Nature Time.
02:13 We're at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa Florida.
02:16 And we have some beautiful things for you to see today.
02:19 My friend Lorene is very knowledgeable about this.
02:22 Lorene, just tell us something about
02:23 your beautiful creatures. Sure.
02:24 This is actually one of two touch things
02:26 that we have here at the Florida Aquarium.
02:28 And we call it the no bone zone area because
02:31 all of the animals that are in this tank are
02:33 invertebrates, meaning that they don't have a
02:35 single bone in their body,
02:36 and they don't have a backbone.
02:39 So you can actually touch the animals that
02:41 are on the top shelf for this exhibit
02:43 when you come to the Florida Aquarium.
02:45 And Ranger Jim, I'm gonna see if you'd like
02:47 to touch any of the animals.
02:50 Go ahead and put your hand in the water
02:52 and tell me what you think.
02:53 Well, it's cold. Yeah, it sure is.
02:55 The water in this tank is about 52 to 55 degrees
02:59 and that's what we keep it at because
03:01 all of the animals that are in this exhibit are
03:03 native to the pacific coast of the United States.
03:06 So they like the cold water.
03:07 Some of them you can find in deeper water
03:10 and some of them you can find in shallow water
03:12 or inner tidal zones, meaning sometimes
03:15 they're covered in water and sometimes they have
03:17 less water and they may actually
03:19 be exposed to the air.
03:22 So, if you look at some of the ones that are up
03:24 on the top shelf, these really pretty colored
03:27 animals are called Sea Anemones and you see-- Wow!
03:31 They are beautiful, aren't they?
03:32 They sure are. May I touch it?
03:35 I would love for you to touch it.
03:36 Just go ahead and put a finger next to it. Wow!
03:39 Can you feel it stick? Yeah. Yeah. Neat.
03:42 Like I said they're called Sea Anemones,
03:44 and they're actually related to a Jellyfish
03:47 and to Coral Polyps and one of the characters
03:51 for those animals, is they have stinging cells.
03:54 So everybody-- This, this one does it, right?
03:57 Everybody is scared to touch the Sea Anemones--
03:59 Why is that only? --because like Jellyfish,
04:02 they have the ability to sting you but all
04:05 we feel as people with these Anemones
04:07 is so little sticking on our fingers.
04:11 One of these creatures the other blue things--
04:12 They are called Starfish or actually Sea Stars
04:16 because they're not fish at all.
04:18 Nice. They're Sea Stars.
04:21 They're shape like a star and you can see,
04:23 you can touch them on the top.
04:25 Some of them feel little bit slimy and some of
04:28 them actually are kind of hard to go out.
04:29 A little hard, aren't they?
04:31 Aren't they gorgeous? Absolutely.
04:33 Aren't they gorgeous like that? Absolutely.
04:35 One of the things we tell our visitors about
04:37 the Sea Stars that they can't actually pick them
04:39 up off the shelf because they're quite stuck on that.
04:43 However, they have tiny tube feet on the bottom
04:45 and that's what they used to move around.
04:46 So we don't want to damage these-- And would
04:48 also keep them from washing away in the tide
04:50 or something like that controls it.
04:51 Absolutely, absolutely, one of the really cool
04:54 things about those animals.
04:55 Another really cool thing about Sea Stars
04:58 is they're actually quite effective predators,
05:00 meaning they eat other animals,
05:02 which is weird because they don't seem to move
05:05 around all that much, but their stomachs are
05:07 on the bottom and when they crawl up on an
05:09 animal that they'd like to eat,
05:11 they grow their stomach out
05:12 and kind of digestive the animal and go in their way.
05:16 Isn't that incredible?
05:17 Boys and girls, wouldn't you like to have Lorene
05:19 come to your school and talk for about
05:20 three or four hours, that would be neat? All right.
05:24 What about, is there anything else that
05:25 we could talk about in this show?
05:26 Sure, I'm the back wall here.
05:30 There are some animals that probably look
05:31 pretty familiar to people, they have all the spines.
05:34 Right, they're round like this? Right.
05:36 And name of the spines they're called Sea Urchins.
05:38 And they're actually related
05:40 to the Sea Stars or the Starfish.
05:42 And some of them you can actually touch that one,
05:46 one actually hurt you, but some of them
05:48 you don't want to touch because those spines can
05:51 break up and go into your skin.
05:52 Well, I will trust you for that, okay. Right. What else?
05:56 Do we have any others that we'd like to cover?
05:58 Sure, there's actually some shrimp in here
06:00 which are a kind of, it's nee to see them
06:03 alive as a-- Well, I see them over there. Yes.
06:05 Or interplay, but there is some
06:06 shrimp on the bottom there.
06:08 And shrimp are animals called Crustaceans
06:12 and they don't have any bones either,
06:14 but they actually have a skeleton kind on the outside.
06:17 It's a protective covering.
06:18 So the skeleton is only outside
06:20 instead of ours that are inside.
06:22 Right, absolutely, absolutely.
06:23 And what was the word that you used again?
06:27 Exoskeleton. Exoskeleton!
06:28 Exoskeleton, they are something,
06:29 boys and girls, you could remember that.
06:31 Okay, if you're learning that so.
06:34 Okay, boys and girls, hasn't this been fun?
06:36 I have enjoyed it so much.
06:37 So, boys and girls, Ranger Jim is always saying,
06:41 don't forget to tell Jesus that you love Him
06:43 because He really does love you.
06:54 Hello, boys and girls.
06:55 We're very enthusiastic that Jesus is coming back.
06:58 We're gonna be "Greetin' Him" with a song.
07:07 I walked in the world for many a mile,
07:10 And that was fun for a little while,
07:13 When Jesus there how could I smile,
07:16 How could I'll be happy for long?
07:19 Lord, now is in my heart all happy day,
07:22 He took my sins and my guilt away.
07:25 And now He's coming to take me home,
07:27 And I'll greet Him with a song.
07:36 And Jesus came back for me and you,
07:39 And Heaven was meant for very few.
07:42 Not there many would make it through,
07:45 How could I'll be happy for long?
07:47 But Jesus came back just for all,
07:51 Jesus came to help to save us all,
07:54 And now He's coming to take us home
07:57 We'll greet Him with a song
08:00 Yes, we'll greet Him with a song.
08:12 Hi, boys and girls, welcome to Learning Time.
08:14 Hey, if you've got some balloons around,
08:17 I've got something that you have probably
08:19 never ever seen before.
08:21 Now, I've got a balloon in my hand.
08:23 Do some of you have a hard time blowing up balloons?
08:26 Do you have a hard time? Yeah.
08:28 Well, here's a secret about hard times with balloons.
08:31 If you stretch them out just like this
08:33 they become easier to blow up. Did you know that?
08:36 So I'm gonna--stretch this balloon out-well
08:39 that one blow, but you know what you don't want
08:42 to stretch them too much, do you? No.
08:45 Let's try another one.
08:46 Let's stretch this balloon now
08:47 and I'm gonna blow it up.
08:49 Now, here we go. Wow!
08:53 That's a squeaky balloon, isn't it?
08:55 Well, let's try weaning some more air in this balloon.
08:58 Let's put a little more in. Here we go.
09:02 Now that's about right for our experiment.
09:05 We're gonna take this balloon.
09:06 The only hard thing about balloons
09:08 is you have to tie them and you got a first time
09:12 on your fingers and that's really hard
09:14 and that like all get stuck. There we go.
09:17 Now I'm gonna take this balloon.
09:18 We have air in this balloon, don't we?
09:20 I'm gonna take this air.
09:22 We're gonna get this air really, really cold.
09:25 What do you suppose happens to air
09:27 when we get it really, really cold.
09:29 Well, I'll tell you what I'm gonna, it might pop.
09:31 I'm gonna put it right here in my ice chest,
09:34 let's put it in my ice chest
09:35 and I have something with me today,
09:37 that's the second coldest thing on planet earth.
09:40 It's called Liquid Nitrogen.
09:43 Now you can't buy this at the store,
09:45 but I have some right here.
09:46 Now our front row right here,
09:48 we're gonna put our safety glasses on
09:49 and I'm gonna put a glove on because this stuff is
09:52 cold, if you get it on your hand it will freeze
09:56 your skin and your skin will fall off.
09:58 And that's not good thing, is it? So here we go.
10:01 I'm gonna pour this right on my balloon,
10:03 let's see what happens right here.
10:06 When I poured it out it looks like it's water,
10:08 but it's not water at all.
10:10 It's Liquid Nitrogen, and it's very, very cold.
10:13 I'm gonna pour some more on it.
10:15 We're making a great cloud
10:16 because we're cooling down those water molecules
10:19 that we can't see and here we go.
10:21 I think we're about ready right here.
10:23 Now I'm gonna reach in with my glove hand
10:26 and I'm gonna pull this out
10:27 and let's take a look at my balloon. Oh! Wow!
10:31 Does that look like the same balloon? No!
10:33 It looks all flat and down.
10:34 It looks like there isn't any air inside
10:37 of that balloon, but you know what,
10:38 what's happening right now to this balloon? It's swelling.
10:43 That's right, it's getting bigger, you know, why?
10:45 Because those air molecules got so cold
10:48 that they got real close together.
10:50 They took up less space, but now we're warming
10:52 them up and when they get so warm they start
10:56 to expand and get further apart
10:58 and this balloon is gonna be back
11:00 the same size as that was before. Isn't that great?
11:04 Now, let's do another exciting thing,
11:06 I'm gonna take my balloon and we're gonna
11:08 put it over here,
11:09 I've got another balloon right over here.
11:11 This balloon has a very, very special gas in it
11:14 and it's called the Party Gas
11:16 because when we have parties,
11:18 we put helium gas in our balloons,
11:22 because helium is a light gas.
11:24 The balloon wants to float up in the air.
11:27 I'm gonna cool down this gas.
11:28 This gas is a very light gas.
11:31 We're gonna try to make it heavier.
11:32 Do you think we can make it heavier? Yeah!
11:35 Oh, yeah, if we can take those molecules,
11:37 jam and real close together,
11:39 we can make this really heavy.
11:42 And that's what we're gonna try to do right now.
11:44 So let's put this right in here.
11:45 I'm gonna pour this liquid nitrogen right on top
11:48 and we're gonna make this balloon
11:50 get really, really small again.
11:53 And those air molecules are gonna get
11:55 so close together,
11:56 we're gonna make it really, really heavy.
11:59 Let's pour all in here.
12:01 We're gonna use all of it, just like that.
12:03 Now I'm gonna take this cooler.
12:05 We're gonna make sure that we've got that ballon
12:08 so cold and then I'm gonna put my balloon right here.
12:11 We're gonna watch it.
12:12 I'm wondering what's gonna happen to it.
12:14 Some of you might know or might want to guess.
12:17 Are you ready? Yeah! Okay.
12:19 I think it's just about ready.
12:21 It is so cold.
12:22 It's almost freezing my hand.
12:24 Look at my glove, it is so cold.
12:26 Let's put that balloon right there and let's watch it.
12:29 Now it's really heavy, but what happening,
12:31 the balloon is getting--oh, oh, oh my,
12:34 oh my, what's happening to her balloon
12:37 and it went right up to the air.
12:39 The balloon got lighter again because those
12:41 molecules got further apart and that is so interesting.
12:46 Now next time you have a party balloon,
12:48 I want you to remember about how light that gas
12:51 is and that gas goes up in the air and it keeps
12:54 going up in the air because helium is
12:56 extremely light and we can cool down that gas,
12:58 make a real heavy gas out of it
13:00 and then it will go over and over and over again.
13:04 Every time we study science,
13:07 we learn about our Creator God.
13:17 Jahaziel, good to have you here.
13:19 It's my pleasure.
13:21 I can't help, but tell you every time
13:23 I sit down for meal, I think of that event.
13:26 Brings back memories, doesn't it?
13:28 Oh, oh, I was a leper, Simon the leper.
13:31 You remember? Yes.
13:34 And I thought I was really holy too, Jahaziel.
13:37 I even followed Christ,
13:39 but I still didn't have that relationship.
13:43 The day I just wanted to pay back Christ
13:47 because of the leprosy that healed me from.
13:50 He came to the house.
13:52 I had Martha to cater it,
13:53 everything was perfect. Perfect.
13:59 And then Mary came in.
14:03 She was very, very quiet about it
14:07 and Lazarus was here. Jesus was in the middle.
14:11 Lazarus is on one side, have been raised from
14:13 the dead, I was on this side and I admit I was
14:17 proud that Jesus at my house.
14:18 I still wrestle with pride Jahaziel. That's true.
14:22 I think we all wrestle with something-
14:25 Someday somebody is going to write, I died daily.
14:29 That's what I have got to do because it keeps coming up.
14:32 Anyway, back to the story. Mary came in.
14:37 She had the most beautiful alabaster box
14:40 I had ever seen. It was very nice.
14:43 She broke it open.
14:45 She started putting it on Christ feet,
14:49 putting on Christ's head.
14:51 I took one look at Judas,
14:53 I heard Judas say why such waste?
14:56 He was always thinking of money.
14:59 I felt the same thing though.
15:01 And then when I knew so much about her,
15:03 I felt oh, if Jesus knew who was touching her, oh.
15:08 He was almost like Jesus.
15:10 It was almost like he read my mind.
15:13 He said, Simon, I have a story to tell you.
15:16 Jesus was the greatest storyteller. He was.
15:19 He would never open His mouth,
15:21 but He would tell a story.
15:24 Simon, he said there were two great debtors,
15:27 one own a huge debt, one own a small debt.
15:29 They were both forgiven.
15:30 Which would be most thankful?
15:33 And I found myself saying,
15:34 the one who own them all.
15:37 And I knew he was talking about me, Jahaziel.
15:40 But he was so gentle.
15:42 No one knew that, but Jew.
15:44 Oh, oh, the perfume, it smelled up the whole room.
15:49 I was embarrassed.
15:51 Jesus finally sensed what was going on
15:54 and He said leave this woman alone.
15:57 What she has done will be recorded throughout
15:59 the world, at which point Judas ran out.
16:04 We know now, don't we? Yes.
16:07 He was going to see the priests.
16:10 Oh, I wish you to sit and stay with it. Yes.
16:14 I looked around at the religious leaders
16:16 and I saw they were still struggling,
16:18 I knew I still struggle with pride,
16:19 I'm not saying I don't,
16:20 but they were planning on death,
16:22 on death for Jesus. For Jesus. I just wish.
16:28 I know I can't relive my life,
16:32 but I wish I had been a more open
16:34 closer follower of Jesus.
16:36 I feel like I still let Him down.
16:38 But He loved you. Right.
16:41 And the grace of God, He continues to love,
16:45 He continues to forgive.
16:46 And He loved Mary. Yes, yes.
16:49 You know, when I see a leper now,
16:51 I think of where I was.
16:53 When I see a woman, I think of what I did,
16:56 and yet Jesus continues to forgive, forgive,
16:59 forgive, thank God.
17:01 He gives me a picture of God that I know,
17:04 that Jesus accepts you and me just as we are.
17:08 Isn't that a tremendous thought? Amen.
17:11 Jahaziel, what kind of host am I?
17:13 I've had you over here for a meal and haven't
17:15 let you have a bit of food. Please.
17:19 Help yourself to some bread.
17:23 So good to have you here. It's my pleasure.
17:30 Everything we have, Jahaziel, the food,
17:33 the bread, the wine, the great fresh air it's all
17:38 because of God who loves us and desires to do good to us.
17:43 Praise the Lord.
17:59 This little light of mine,
18:04 I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine,
18:08 I'm gonna let it shine.
18:11 Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
18:17 Hide it under a bushel, oh no,
18:20 I'm going to let it shine Hide it under a bushel,
18:25 oh no, I'm going to let it shine Let it shine,
18:28 let it shine, let it shine.
18:33 All around the neighborhood,
18:36 I'm gonna let it shine All around
18:40 the neighborhood, I'm gonna let it shine
18:43 Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
18:59 Thank you, girls for that beautiful song.
19:01 I really enjoyed it.
19:03 Well, I have someone I want you to meet,
19:05 boys and girls, and that is Brace. Hi, Brace. Hi.
19:07 I'd want to thank you for joining me
19:09 on Sharing Time today.
19:11 What do you do to share Jesus?
19:12 Well, recently I went to Vacation Bible school
19:15 and I helped people with HIV positive and AIDS
19:21 and-- How did you do that at Vacation Bible School?
19:24 Was it, doesn't sound like a normal Vacation
19:26 Bible School to me? That's right.
19:28 We filled boxes form and put stuff that food
19:34 stamps won't cover, like different things like
19:37 toilet paper and that's kind of stuff.
19:40 Toilet paper, what else would you put in? And--
19:43 Do you make up boxes and you put stuff in there.
19:45 Yeah, toilet paper and like shampoo and soap
19:52 and-- And personal items like that.
19:54 So you collect that and you make boxes and-- Yeah.
19:57 And then how did then you gave them to?
20:00 We gave them to the community service person
20:04 and then they took them to the people.
20:05 And these are specifically for people,
20:08 you know, you said, you mentioned that food
20:10 stamps won't cover because of these a lot
20:12 of these people were on, you know-- On drugs
20:15 and stuff like that.
20:16 Also there were a lot of more on drugs and didn't
20:18 have lot of money and--so did that,
20:22 did you learned about what,
20:24 about drug abuse when you were there too?
20:27 And what kind of things did you learned?
20:29 We've learned that, you never want to take drugs
20:32 and what, how harmful they are to your body
20:34 and stuff like that. And that's true.
20:36 We don't ever want to take drugs and you know,
20:39 we were told that our bodies are temple of
20:41 God, aren't they?
20:42 So we want to always be careful what we take
20:45 into our bodies and what we do with our bodies,
20:47 and we want to get exercise,
