00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there,
00:07 looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:10 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:13 let's tell them that He loves us so, 00:16 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:24 Hi, boys and girls, I'm holding in my hand here 00:28 something called a test tube. 00:30 Now maybe you've seen, 00:31 seen something like this when you went to visit your doctor 00:33 or went to the hospital. 00:36 But you can see there is bright red blood inside. 00:40 It's actually my friend, Dr. Samuel, 00:43 just drew this blood afresh, so that you could see 00:45 the nice pretty red color right here. 00:47 Do you know we all have blood running in our veins? 00:50 Our blood does so many important jobs. 00:53 You know it cleans our systems 00:54 and it carries oxygen 00:56 and nutrients to the right parts of our body, 00:59 and you know what, it keeps us alive. 01:02 Today's bible story, tells us about priest 01:04 who had many duties. 01:06 And one of those duties was actually 01:07 to take the life of a little lamb. 01:09 He had it to watch it bleed and to die. 01:12 Now do you think that made him happy? 01:14 No, no it didn't, not at all. 01:17 And it wasn't supposed too. 01:19 It was suppose to make him think of the one 01:21 who would someday give his own life. 01:25 Who would let his own body bleed so that boys 01:28 and girls and men and women 01:29 everywhere could have their sins forgiven. 01:32 You know that someone is Jesus 01:34 and He lives in Heaven now, 01:35 but soon He will come back to this earth 01:38 and take us to Heaven with Him. 01:40 He will show us the scars where He was wounded 01:43 and where He bled just for us. 01:46 Do you know I am so thankful 01:47 that Jesus loves us that much, aren't you? 01:50 Well now, Ranger Jim has some beautiful coral to show us. 02:01 Hi, boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying, 02:03 welcome to Nature Time. 02:04 We are at the Florida Aquarium, at Tampa Florida. 02:07 And my friend Shawn is with me, 02:09 he as the senior biologist on the staff here. 02:12 And boys and girls, we're at a very confined place 02:15 to bring you these beautiful things, 02:17 and we're inside a glass building, 02:18 it's a controlled atmosphere. 02:21 And so we have our cameras 02:22 outside shooting through the glass. 02:24 So if you see some distortion or something like that, 02:27 you will know what it is, 02:28 but we wanted to you see this, 02:30 because it is fascinating. 02:31 Shawn, tell us something about this, 02:33 what do we have here? 02:34 We're inside our coral farm, 02:36 and when we say coral farm that means 02:37 we grow corals here. 02:39 We take them out of the wild, 02:41 where they are actually given to us by the State 02:43 and Federal Government. 02:45 And we grow them here just like you would grow like corn 02:47 or tomatoes or something. 02:49 And we grow them up to a size to where hopefully 02:51 the State and Federal Government 02:52 will want them back. 02:53 Now a lot of people don't know what coral is. 02:55 Coral is actually an animal, 02:57 it's actually a group of animals 02:59 or what we call a colony of animals. 03:01 And coral lays down a hard skeleton, 03:03 it's kind of like your bones, 03:04 just very similar to that same stuff, 03:06 calcium and they grow overtime. 03:09 And overtime they build these huge structures 03:11 called coral reefs. 03:13 And the coral reef is actually 03:14 the most important thing about corals, 03:15 because the coral reef provides the habitat 03:18 for all the animals live there. 03:20 That's their home, that's where they get their food, 03:22 that's where they reproduce. 03:23 So it's very important that you have a coral reef, 03:25 and corals are the reason you have a coral reef. 03:28 And that's why corals are so important. 03:29 That's amazing, so it provides a habitat 03:31 for other creatures on the coral, on the reef. 03:34 That's right, a home for the fish, 03:36 a home for sea stars, a home for sea horses, 03:40 sharks all those animals live 03:42 right there on the coral reef. 03:43 They get their food there, they reproduce there 03:46 and they meet partners there, it's a great place. 03:50 And so it's very hard isn't not like cement. 03:52 We have ships that crash into the corals. 03:54 Right, unfortunately sometimes 03:56 boats do run into coral. 03:57 Corals usually grow in very shallow water 04:00 and sometimes the boats will run into and break the coral. 04:03 And that's pretty bad 04:05 because a coral can damage very easily, 04:07 it's a very soft body animal. 04:09 Even though the skeleton is hard, 04:11 the animal itself is very soft. 04:13 And so you can damage it very it easily 04:15 and a boat crushing in the coral 04:16 can possibly kill a colony 04:18 they might take thousands of years to grow. 04:20 And, 'cause coral is a slow growing animal too. 04:23 And, so it's very good for people to watch out 04:26 when they're driving their boats 04:27 that they don't run into coral, 04:29 they got to watch out for coral. 04:30 I have seen on television recently, 04:32 that there is a problem with people 04:34 that are scuba diving under water 04:36 and they're going, actually taking samples for that, 04:38 aren't there laws against that? 04:40 There are laws against taking coral. 04:42 You have to have special permits 04:44 from the governments in order to take coral. 04:45 Most corals are protected throughout the whole world, 04:48 you can buy corals in a pet store though. 04:51 And those corals are collected legally. 04:54 But the corals that we have in here 04:55 are from the Caribbean area, from around Florida 04:58 and St. Thomas and those areas 05:00 and these need special permits, 05:02 you won't see these in a pet store. 05:04 So you wouldn't see them, 05:05 and this is an atmosphere that we're in boys and girls. 05:08 That's very warm with lots of sunlight here, 05:11 ideal conditions for growing. 05:12 Right, corals need lots of bright sunlight, 05:14 they need good water flow, they need clean water, 05:18 can't have lot of algae growing in the water 05:20 to block out the sunlight. 05:22 And they need also high levels of calcium, 05:25 like I mentioned earlier, in order to grow. 05:27 What about the coloration? 05:28 Now we have different colors of the coral. 05:30 The coloration in corals is actually 05:32 given through them by an algae. 05:34 There is actually, it's called Symbiotic, 05:36 but we'll call it a buddy for now. 05:37 It's a buddy that lives inside the corals 05:40 and it helps the corals grow. 05:42 It's a type of algae 05:43 and that's what the corals get their color from. 05:45 If the corals didn't have this buddy 05:46 or this algae inside its tissues, 05:48 then it wouldn't have any color at all, 05:50 it just be clear or white. 05:52 That's amazing isn't it? 05:53 Boys and girls, from time to time you may see 05:55 something white passing over the water. 05:57 This is an oxygenated tank 05:59 and all of the oxygen is flowing through here in that, 06:02 that's part of the atmosphere that's created for here 06:05 and this is a wonder thing, boys and girls. 06:07 You are the next generation of people on this earth. 06:10 If you don't conserve these things, 06:12 if you don't learn about these things 06:13 and that's our object, to teach you of these things 06:16 that God has made for us to see and enjoy 06:19 and study and share this earth with, 06:21 some of these things we won't have. 06:23 So it's very important that you learn about them. 06:25 We're still happy that we could come here today 06:27 and learn about these creatures. 06:28 So as always, boys and girls, 06:30 this is Ranger Jim saying, don't forget to tell Jesus 06:33 that you love him because he really does love you. 06:49 Hello, boys and girls, we're ready to do our next song. 06:51 But where is Ben. Oh! There he is. 06:56 I am outstanding in my field. 06:59 Oh! Oh! Ben. 07:03 That's called a pun 07:04 and the pun is the lowest form of human. 07:06 You can see why. 07:08 Uncle Buddy, guess what I can do? 07:13 What are you doing? I'm making time fly. 07:17 Oh! Well if you two can do that. 07:20 Come here Keira, ready, go. 07:24 One, two, three, four, five, six. 07:28 Do you want what we're doing? What? 07:31 I told Keira she can always count on me. 07:35 Oh! Yes, boys and girls, 07:40 those are bad puns, 07:42 but they do illustrate a good point. 07:45 Keira, she can count on me 07:47 and even way, way, way more that that, 07:50 we can count on Jesus. 07:58 One, Two, Three, Four open the door, let Jesus in. 08:03 Five, Six, Seven, Eight then we appreciate, 08:07 it's Jesus again. 08:09 Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve, 08:11 where do we let our minds flow, 08:12 on Jesus our friend. 08:15 We can count on Jesus, 08:16 One to a hundred, for everything 08:21 Twelve, Eleven, Ten, Nine, everything will be fine. 08:24 Keep Jesus inside 08:27 Eight, Seven, Six, Five we will survive. 08:30 And with him we arrive 08:32 Four, Three, Two, now I ask you, hasn't this been fun. 08:38 We can count on our Jesus, forward and backwards, 08:41 He's number one. 08:43 We can count on our Jesus, forward and backwards, 08:47 He's number one. He's number one. 09:04 Hi, today we're making Chili Skillet Dinner, 09:07 this is one of my favorites, 09:09 it's simple, easy and delicious. 09:12 Now we're gonna ahead and put the recipe 09:13 on the screen for you. 09:14 [recipes on screen] 09:33 Now we're gonna start with our tomato sauce 09:38 and put that in our skillet here, 09:40 we've a skillet here that's already hot. 09:42 And we want to put that in, start with the tomato juice. 09:49 And then we're gonna put in our cup of salsa. 09:56 Here we go, and then we put in our chili powder. 10:06 And we have our V8 juice here 10:10 and if you don't have V8 juice 10:12 you can use anothe rkind of tomato juice 10:16 or whatever you have available 10:17 where you are, open that. 10:29 Okay, and then our dark red kidney beans, put those in. 10:37 Now the last thing you're putting in is the pasta. 10:39 And I have these spiral noodles here 10:42 and you can use any kind of small pasta you want. 10:44 You want keep it small but you can use any kind, 10:46 and if the recipe says two thirds cup 10:49 but you can probably see this is 10:50 lot more than two thirds of a cup. 10:52 That's because I like pasta, 10:53 but you can use, now when I was, 10:57 my older brother David, when we were younger, 11:01 he nicknamed this pasta somehow 11:05 we ended up call it chukka-chukka. 11:06 I don't how but we also, 11:09 our family called it chukka-chukka's but. 11:12 Get that all stirred up. 11:14 And that's basically all you have to it 11:17 you're going to put it and leave it in the skillet, 11:19 and let it simmer. 11:20 Gonna cover it, just gonna cover it up, with a cover. 11:27 And you know let it simmer for about 15 minutes. 11:30 Now you wanna watch it, 11:31 because if there's not enough sauce in there, 11:33 it can get really dry. 11:35 And if you know you don't have enough in there, 11:37 you can add some more V8 juice 11:40 or tomato sauce to make it a little bit wetter 11:42 and now I'm gonna show you the finished product. 11:49 And that's basically all there is to it. 11:52 All you have left is you can, you can put salad 11:55 or may be a broccoli or a vegetable. 11:56 And my family has the colorful dinners, 11:58 so you could put maybe kind of vegetable broccoli, 12:01 or corn or something and you have a whole meal 12:05 and that's all there is to it. 12:06 Now, just remember, to keep cooking and eat healthy. 12:25 Ah! It feels to be good to be fresh and clean again, 12:29 especially after a long hot day in the wilderness. 12:39 I'm Eleazar, the son of Aaron. 12:43 Moses, my uncle, 12:44 was the one that was chosen of God to be the man 12:48 that would lead the children of Israel out of Egypt, 12:51 the land of slavery. 12:53 And God worked in a mighty way by opening the Red Sea, 12:58 so that our people could walk through on dry land. 13:02 And he brought us here to the wilderness, 13:05 where we'll worship God 13:07 and wait for him to lead us to the promised land. 13:13 It was also my uncle Moses, who went up on the mountain, 13:16 Mount Sinai, and received 13:19 the Ten Commands from the Lord. 13:22 The rules of holy conduct 13:25 that God's people should follow in their lives. 13:29 And while he was on the mount, 13:31 God spoke with him and gave specific information 13:36 about building a place of meeting, 13:40 a tent, a tabernacle, 13:42 where the presence of God could always be with us. 13:47 Moses came down 13:49 and shared that information with all of us. 13:53 We listened carefully 13:55 and then each person went back to their own tent, 13:59 and brought something that could be used 14:01 for the construction of the tabernacle. 14:05 Some people had gold 14:06 that they had brought with them from Egypt. 14:10 Some had jewelry that could be used. 14:13 There is had fine linen, or animal skins, 14:17 all of these items were brought and put together. 14:22 That new tabernacle tent could be built. 14:28 It was a beautiful sight 14:29 when it was finally completed. 14:32 It was not an elaborate building, 14:35 it was very simple, but God blessed our efforts. 14:40 And the presence of God rested above the tabernacle 14:45 in a beautiful cloud, 14:47 that reminded us God was always there. 14:50 It was there above the tent everyday 14:54 and at night it turned into a fiery light 14:58 that lighted up all of the camp. 15:03 While Moses was still on the mount, 15:05 the Lord gave him special instruction 15:09 about the priesthood. 15:12 God told Moses that my father, 15:15 Aaron, would be the high priest. 15:18 He would be the priest for all of the camp 15:21 and that all of us, myself, Eleazar, 15:25 and my brothers, Nadab, Abihu 15:29 and Ithamar would be priests and then our sons 15:35 and their sons 15:37 and the sons after them would all be for generations, 15:42 would be priests to the Most High God. 15:47 It is a special calling to be called to chosen 15:51 as a servant of the Lord to serve him in the tabernacle. 15:57 Well, what do the priests do? 16:00 There are many duties we're involved in, 16:03 we pray with the people of Israel, 16:06 we also instruct them in the ways of God. 16:09 Our people have been in slavery for many years. 16:14 They need to understand what God's Holy requirements are? 16:20 Also we work within the tabernacle tent. 16:23 There are lights that burn there day and night. 16:27 We trim the lamps and fill them with oil. 16:32 There is bread for the table 16:34 that must be replaced regularly. 16:38 We also bring in incense to burn 16:40 before the presence of the Lord. 16:44 But probably, our most important duty is 16:48 helping with the sacrifices that are done each day. 16:52 When someone disobeys God they bring in a sin offering, 16:56 many times it's a lamb. 16:59 We take that lamb 17:00 and put it on the altar of burnt sacrifice, 17:04 we take the life of that lamb. 17:07 It is something that is very hard to do. 17:10 Even though I have done it many times 17:13 I'm always reminded 17:15 of the awful consequences of sin. 17:19 When I'm tempted to do wrong, to tell a lie, 17:23 to take something that does not belong to me, 17:26 or even to say an unkind word, 17:29 I remember that for every sin there must be a sacrifice. 17:37 We burn the body of the lamb on the altar 17:41 and we take the blood 17:42 into the holy place of the sanctuary. 17:45 It is very important work that we do before the Lord 17:50 and as priests we must be holy in our hearts 17:55 and in our lives. 17:58 Oh! I think it's almost time for the evening sacrifice. 18:02 I must be going, I must not be late 18:07 in my service for the God Most High. 18:48 Lo! What a glorious sight appears 18:51 To our believing eyes! 18:55 The earth and seas are passed away, 18:58 And the old rolling skies. 19:02 And the old rolling skies, And the old rolling skies. 19:09 The earth and seas are passed away, 19:13 And the old rolling skies. 19:17 O that will be joyful, joyful, joyful! 19:25 O that will be joyful When we meet to part no more! 19:32 When we meet to part no more On Canaan's happy shore, 19:39 'Tis there we'll meet at Jesus' feet, 19:43 When we meet to part no more! How long, dear Savior! 19:50 Oh, how long shall this bright hour delay? 19:55 Fly swifter round, ye wheels of time! 19:59 And bring the welcome day. 20:03 And bring the welcome day, And bring the welcome day, 20:10 Fly swifter round, ye wheels of time! 20:14 And bring the welcome day. 20:18 O that will be joyful, joyful, joyful! 20:25 O that will be joyful 20:28 When we meet to part no more! When we meet to part no more 20:36 On Canaan's happy shore, 20:39 'Tis there we'll meet at Jesus' feet, 20:43 When we meet to part no more! 20:56 Hi, boys and girls, I'm just about ready to open 20:59 a very special letter that I just got 21:01 and I'm so excited to see what's inside. 21:02 It says priority mail. 21:04 So let's take a look okay, aren't you excited too? 21:07 Oh!
