00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there,
00:07 looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:10 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:13 let's tell them that He loves us so, 00:17 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:24 Hi, boys and girls, want to come play a game with me? 00:27 Let's see we can play scrabble, 00:29 that's my mom's favorite game and you know what, 00:31 she is really good at it too, or we can play monopoly, 00:34 that's always lots of fun. 00:36 What's your favorite? 00:37 You know, it's so much fun to play games, isn't it? 00:40 Perhaps you like games where you can run 00:42 and throw a ball, 00:44 or you know, like a basketball 00:46 or a baseball, but you know what, 00:48 there are some games that can be dangerous to play. 00:52 Now, I'm not talking about the kind of danger 00:54 where you might fall down and get a broken ankle, 00:57 or a bruise on your face. 00:59 I'm talking about the kind of danger that can be the devil, 01:03 also we called him Satan. 01:06 And you know what, Satan can get in your mind 01:08 and there are games that call upon a power 01:10 that is not human and it's not God. 01:13 And you know what boys and girls, 01:15 we should stay far away from those kind of games. 01:19 Today's Bible story tells of a young girl 01:22 whose mind was controlled by Satan. 01:24 But it also tells that how Satan lost all of his power 01:27 the minute Jesus was asked to take command. 01:31 So you know what boys and girls, 01:32 have a fun time playing good games, 01:35 but never ever try to play games with Satan. 01:40 Well, right now Ranger Jim is going to tell us 01:42 about one of God's little creatures, the snail. 01:53 Hi, boys and girls Ranger Jim saying 01:54 welcome to "Nature Time". 01:55 We're glad you can join us today. 01:57 We're doing some taping on the canal today 01:59 that runs parallel to the highway. 02:01 You may hear some noise in the background, 02:02 but we won't let that bother us. 02:04 We're going to be talking about a special creature 02:06 today is called an Apple Snail. 02:08 I'm sure that very few of you have ever seen them. 02:11 You maybe have seen regular snails 02:12 that you see crawling along the ground, 02:14 but these are aquatic snails, 02:16 they live on the bottom of streams and up on lakes. 02:19 We've many of them in the canals around Florida. 02:23 And when the weather gets just right 02:25 and the temperature is just right, 02:27 the mother snails crawls up 02:29 from where she has been living in the water 02:31 on all kind of bushes, 02:34 little bit of grass sticking up anything 02:36 and begins to lay her eggs. 02:38 And for all the world like super glue, 02:41 she glues them to that and it sticks tighter, 02:43 you can't tear them off 02:44 without destroying the egg sac. 02:46 It hangs in the sun and after about 25-30 days 02:50 the sun hatches the eggs 02:52 and they become tiny little snails. 02:54 As you can see on the plate, 02:56 we have some of these tiny little creatures. 02:58 They are not just black dots, they are tiny little snails. 03:02 And of course, then you can see an adult snail 03:04 how big they are after four or five years. 03:07 And we have a penny laying there 03:08 to give you some perspective, 03:10 so that you can see how tiny these snails are? 03:12 I enjoy going and taking my friends 03:14 if they are going to stay with us several days 03:16 and it's the right time of year in our boat 03:18 and we go along the canal just at day break 03:20 and using a spot light and there you can see 03:23 the mother snail laying the eggs. 03:26 Now when the eggs hatch 03:27 and they begin to fall into the water, 03:29 there are many creatures that know 03:31 that they are good food. 03:33 Now Ranger Jim doesn't think they are good food. 03:35 I haven't tried it, but I'll leave that to the bluegills, 03:38 and the sunfish and may be the bass 03:40 and they gather around 03:41 when the tiny snails falls into the water, 03:43 they pray upon that, they eat those things. 03:46 There are many of them that don't survive, 03:48 but there are enough that do survive to perpetuate 03:51 these Apple Snail here in Florida. 03:54 And in the background behind us 03:56 you can see another plant 03:58 that is not a native to Florida 04:00 is called a Brazilian pepper plant. 04:02 And application was made to the agriculture department 04:06 to import these trees into Florida 04:08 because in the fall and winter 04:09 they have beautiful red berries on them 04:11 and looks much like holly 04:13 and so the University of Florida run all kind of test 04:15 on to make sure that you couldn't propagate them. 04:18 You couldn't reproduce them by planting the seeds 04:21 and they found that you couldn't do that. 04:23 They want all kind of tests on them 04:25 and found that you couldn't do that, 04:26 so they were allowed to bring them here to Florida, 04:28 but to their dismay one test they didn't run on them 04:31 that the birds swallow red berries 04:33 that they love the berries they began to eat them 04:35 and pass through their digestive system 04:38 and pass right to their body 04:39 and when it came out the other end 04:40 as waste product. 04:42 The acid in their stomach had weakened that very hard 04:46 shell on these berries 04:49 and then the plant would sprout 04:52 and reproduce from the seed. 04:54 And so now all over Florida, we have the pepper plant. 04:59 It has taken over many of the native plants 05:02 and bushes and trees 05:03 that normally grow along side the stream 05:05 and so now there is a problem in a state of Florida 05:08 is spending millions of dollars 05:09 trying to eradicate it, but it's a hopeless case. 05:12 So boys and girls, it's always interesting 05:15 to study this subject and see that 05:17 where God intended them to be they are perfect, 05:20 but you take them out of that environment 05:22 sometimes they can cause havoc. 05:24 So God makes it right the first time doesn't He? 05:27 So Ranger Jim as always boys and girls telling you, 05:29 don't forget to tell Jesus that you love Him 05:31 because He really does love you. 05:47 Well, Adam, what are you dressed as? A dentist. 05:51 A dentist, what do you think, aah! Okay. 05:55 Oh! To be a dentist, to actually be a dentist. 06:00 To go over molar and bicuspid, 06:03 to stamp out tooth decay, and to fight bad breath. 06:08 I think that's the highest 06:09 calling of any man and any woman. 06:13 I think the highest calling is sole for Jesus. 06:20 I like to be dentist, I'm working on tooth decay, 06:24 When someone's really hurting I take the pain off 06:29 I fill them out with lots of stuff, 06:31 And look at them and say 06:32 Don't you want to live for Jesus. 06:37 He gave His life for me up on a lofty hill, 06:41 To show how much He loves me And I know He loves me still 06:44 I want to give, my all to Him, 06:46 To show I love Him too, That's why I'll live for Him 06:52 I want to be a policeman riding in my car, 06:56 Helping anybody who has problems near or far, 07:00 But one thing I'm certain of but now is fairy day 07:04 That I want to be like Jesus. 07:08 He gave His life for me up on a lofty hill, 07:12 To show how much He loves me, And I know He loves me still, 07:16 I want to give my all to Him, To show I love Him too, 07:20 That's why I'll live for Him. 07:24 I like to be a doctor and cure the common cold, 07:28 Or finding you for portion 07:30 that's for make me not grow old, 07:32 But filled within my heart 07:34 I find an even greater He was, 07:36 That I want to live for Jesus 07:40 He gave His life for me up on a lofty hill, 07:44 To show how much He loves me, And I know He loves me still, 07:48 I want to give my all to Him, To show I love Him too, 07:52 That's why I live for Him. 07:56 I'd like to be a carpenter with hammer and the saw, 08:00 Build a bunch, to build these that are never gonna fall, 08:04 I'd also build the people 'cause 08:06 I've heard my father's call, 08:07 And I want to be like Jesus, 08:12 He gave His life for me up on a lofty hill, 08:16 To show how much He loves me, and I know He loves me still, 08:20 I want to give my all to Him, To show I love Him too, 08:23 That's why I live for Him. 08:37 Hi, boys and girls, welcome to "Learning Time". 08:40 Hey, and thank you all for coming today. 08:43 Now today, we're gonna do some interesting 08:45 science experiments. 08:46 Does anybody like science? Do you like science, 08:48 raise your hands if you like science, 08:50 do you like science? 08:51 Well, I've got a special science experiment today 08:54 and I've got two very special helpers with me 08:57 and I've a young lady right here 08:58 what's your name? Torrie. 09:00 Torrie, Torrie, do you like science? Yes. 09:02 Why do you like science? Because its fun. 09:04 Its fun, do you think science is fun? Yeah. 09:07 And do you think science is fun? 09:09 Oh! I did too, I've a young gentleman right here, 09:11 what's your name? Gage. 09:12 Gage, Gage, why do you like science? 09:14 What do you like to do? Experiments. 09:18 Experiments, today we've got a very special experiment 09:20 and I've something in front of me right here. 09:22 We're gonna do some chemistry experiments, 09:25 do you like chemistry? Yes. 09:27 There is all kinds of neat things 09:28 we're gonna do with chemistry today. 09:30 I've two of these chemicals 09:32 and I'm going to hand those to you Gage 09:34 and I've got two here for Torrie. 09:36 And if you will put those in your hands, 09:38 these chemicals are very special 09:41 because when we mix them together, 09:43 we get a chemical reaction. 09:46 Would you like to see a chemical reaction? Yes. 09:49 Well, let's see what we got right here Gage. 09:52 I'm gonna have you take 09:53 a mix both of these chemicals together. 09:56 And I'm going to ask you 09:58 to pour this one right into there, 10:00 but, you know, what we're going to do? 10:01 We're going to give a countdown three, 10:04 two, one, so that you will know 10:06 and Gage will know when to mix those chemicals, 10:09 are we ready? Yeah. 10:11 All right Gage, how about a countdown for Gage, 10:14 three, two, one and mix that up here 10:18 and let see we can get over here, wow! Wow! 10:21 Hold that up for us wow! What did Gage make? 10:24 What did he make? A light. 10:27 He made light, 10:28 that's why we call chemical a luminescence. 10:31 Hey, we've got another one over here. 10:33 Let me take this out of your hand, 10:34 you did such a wonderful job Gage. 10:36 Look at that, it is pretty and it's really light. 10:40 I'm gonna put that there. 10:42 We're gonna take another one, let's set next to it. 10:44 Now, let's look at the two that Torrie has over here. 10:48 Do those chemicals look like the once that 10:50 Gage had in his hands. No. 10:53 No, not at all, they are different chemicals, 10:55 how about a three, two, one 10:56 and Torrie is going to put this one into there. 11:00 How about a countdown, three, two, one, 11:04 and let's see the chemical experiment oh wow! Wow! 11:07 Oh! My Goodness what did Torrie made? Orange. 11:11 She made some orange light and that's bright as the sun, 11:15 that is so cool. 11:17 I'm gonna put that right there 11:19 which one is brighter? Orange. 11:21 For one that's orange is much, 11:23 much brighter, you know, that reminds me do you know, 11:27 that there are some animals that make their own light? 11:30 Do you know that? 11:31 Torrie what's that animal that makes their own light? 11:33 Deep sea fish. 11:34 Some deep sea fish, they actually make their own light 11:38 under water that is so interesting. 11:40 And do you know another thing that makes its own light? 11:43 Lightning bugs. A lightning bug. 11:45 How many of you have seen a lightning bug? 11:46 Oh yeah, there are those lightning bugs 11:48 that fly around and they just glow 11:50 and they flash the light on and off. 11:53 Who made those animals, 11:55 so that they can make their own light? Jesus. 11:57 That's right, Jesus made those animals 12:00 because He created all things 12:03 and you know, what boys and girls, 12:04 that's the number one reason why I like science 12:07 because every time we learn something new about science, 12:11 we're learning something new about the Creator, 12:14 Jesus Christ, who created all things. 12:18 Thanks for coming today. 12:20 I had a good time. 12:21 Did you have a good time? Yes. 12:23 Oh! Great, would you come back? 12:25 Yes. All right. 12:34 Oh! Hi, I'm so glad you are here. 12:36 I want to tell you what happened to me? 12:39 I want to warn you not to do what I did. 12:42 You see, I did something really bad, 12:44 but I didn't know that what I was doing was bad, 12:47 until I met this man name the Apostle Paul. 12:51 I live here in Filipi, 12:52 it's a Roman colony in the district of Macedonia. 12:55 I'm a slave girl 12:57 and my master used to like me a whole lot, 13:00 because I practiced sorcery and I made the money. 13:04 Do you know what sorcery is? 13:05 It's the practice of witches and wizards 13:08 and I use to make money for 13:09 my masters by fortune telling. 13:11 I thought what I was doing was fun. 13:14 I was very popular, my reputation was growing. 13:17 I just did not know that what I was doing was making 13:21 God very sad and very upset. 13:24 One day I saw this Apostle name Paul 13:28 walking through the streets with his friends. 13:31 Everybody in Filipi knew 13:34 that they were great religious men 13:35 and everybody was talking about 13:37 what they were doing there in town. 13:39 So I began to follow around after them 13:42 and I kept following them and shouting 13:44 and saying to the people, 13:46 there is men are the servants of the most High God. 13:49 They announced to you the way of salvation. 13:52 I did this for many, many days 13:55 thinking this would made me even more important 13:57 in the eyes of the people in town. 14:00 I thought may be people would listen to my fortune telling 14:03 and pay me even more money, 14:05 because I announced to this great religious men were. 14:09 Well, after a few days this Apostle Paul 14:12 became very annoyed with me 14:14 and what I was doing. 14:15 God showed him that I was practicing sorcery, 14:18 so the Apostle Paul turned around 14:20 and spoke to the evil spirit that was enforcing me. 14:24 And he said this, in the name of Jesus Christ 14:26 I command you to come out of her. 14:29 When he spoke these words 14:31 suddenly this evil spirit left me. 14:34 I found different right away. 14:37 I found better, more at peace, 14:39 but my masters were very upset 14:41 because I cannot practice fortune telling anymore. 14:45 I did not even want to pretend 14:46 the practice witchcraft anymore, 14:49 because suddenly I realize 14:51 it was a very bad thing to do. 14:53 Oh! Please don't let anyone fool you like they fooled me. 14:58 I use to think that sorcery was just a game. 15:01 I did not know 15:02 that there was a supernatural power involved 15:05 and that it was evil in the eyes of the Lord. 15:09 When I first started it, 15:11 I thought it was just make believe kind of. 15:14 I did not know that sorcery was a horrible sin 15:18 and although my masters are still upset 15:20 because I don't tell fortunes anymore. 15:22 I'm glad that I met the Apostle Paul 15:25 and did he called 15:26 on the power of God to deliver me. 15:29 You know, this happened a few years ago. 15:32 And we've just received the report now 15:34 that Paul is in the city of Ephesus 15:37 and the people there took all the books of sorcery 15:40 and they heap them into 15:41 a great big pile and burn them. 15:44 As for me I'm still curious to know more about 15:47 this wonderful God that the Apostle Paul spoke about. 15:51 I've heard it said that God is our Creator 15:55 and that He is a very loving God. 15:57 I've heard it said that 15:58 God sent His son Jesus Christ to earth, 16:02 so that He could show us just how much He loves us. 16:05 I hope that you never play with sorcery, 16:08 although it may seem like just a game, it is not. 16:13 Witchcraft is evil and God says 16:16 it's a sin to practice sorcery, 16:18 but the good news is this that I've been told that 16:23 if you ask God to forgive you for sinning, 16:26 He is very quick to forgive you. 16:29 I think He is a wonderful God 16:31 and I want to know more about Him. 16:33 Well, I've to go now, 16:35 but I want to tell you one last thing. 16:38 Please, please don't let anyone talk you 16:41 into doing something that God doesn't like for us to do 16:44 even if it's popular with everybody else. 16:47 I've learned that God has more power 16:50 and His power is only for doing good. 16:53 I'm glad that God is full of love and mercy. 16:57 I want to learn more about this God of love, don't you? 17:02 Well, bye. 17:14 All night, all day, 17:22 God's angels are watched all over His children 17:28 All night, all day, 17:35 God's angles are watching over you. 17:41 I'll sleep he shalt his quilt attend me 17:47 All through the night, 17:53 Guardian angels God will send me 17:58 All through the night They are all above me 18:06 Beneath me, before me They are all around me 18:14 My Father's Angels all protect me everywhere 18:26 They are all above me Beneath me, before me 18:34 They are all around me 18:37 My Father's Angels all protect me everywhere 18:50 Angels watching over me, Angels watching over me. 19:07 Good night Jesus, good night. 19:20 Thank you Nataleigh for that beautiful song. 19:23 You know, boys and girls 19:24 Nataleigh memorizes all the words to her song. 19:27 And I just love that little girl, 19:28 she really sings with Jesus in her heart. 19:31 All right, now I've somebody with me 19:33 that has Jesus in her heart 19:34 and her name is Kabrina, hi, Kabrina. Hi. 19:37 Thank you for being with me on Kids Time. 19:40 Now, I want to know what you do to share Jesus? 19:43 Well, I'll give away lambs for people. 19:47 You do what? I give away lambs. 19:49 You give away lambs, 19:50 what kind of lambs, real live lambs? No. 19:53 No, not the kind of the baa, like that? No. 19:56 No, what kind of lambs you give out? 19:58 Stuffed animal lambs. Stuffed animal lambs. 20:00 Now, what made you decide to do that? 20:04 Well, I got a little lamb for my birthday 20:06 and I decided that I like to share Jesus. 20:10 And why did you give out the lambs to people? 20:13 To remind them of Jesus death, 20:14 they are Jesus' little lambs. 20:17 And that does remind us 20:18 because we're Jesus lambs, aren't we? 20:20 We all, because, you know what, 20:21 lambs like to follow, they are not leaders, 20:23 they follow and we need to be like little lambs 20:25 and follow Jesus, right? 20:27 So that was the good idea. 20:29 How old are you Kabrina? Eight. 20:30 You are eight years old, 20:32 what grade are you in a school? First. 20:34 First grade, well, isn't that something at first grade 20:37 and she is out there buying little lambs for 20:39 and giving them to people to what, 20:41 to share with Jesus. 20:42 I love that, thank you so much. 20:44 We know, I've some letters, 20:46 I'd love to share with you today. 20:48 And this one is from Zoei and I've a picture, 20:51 can you hold that up for me Kabrina? 20:53 This says dear Miss. Brenda, I'm five and a half years old 20:56 and this is one way I share Jesus. 20:58 One Sabbath we went to retirement home 21:00 and we singing for the people who live there, 21:02 some of them singing along with us. 21:04 It said, I enjoyed watching Kids Time 21:06 and here is a picture of camel 21:08 I drew in colored view, loves Zoei. 21:10 PS, I know you are at the Kids Time studio 21:13 and when you were taping there 21:15 and I really had a lot of fun, thank you. 21:18 Well, Zoei, I remember you coming by with your sister. 21:21 And you know what boys and girls, 21:22 I want to show you this picture of a camel, 21:23 see here camel she drew right there 21:25 and its little hump right there, what an artist. 21:28 Thank you Zoei and I want you to keep sharing Jesus, okay. 21:33 Let's see I'll take that picture for you Kabrina 21:36 and there is another letter here form Amber from Hemet, 21:40 California and let's see what Amber says, 21:44 oh, is this cute. 21:46 Now, you know what boys and girls, 21:47 I've to show you this letter, 21:48 you know, I'm gonna have you read it right along with me. 21:51 It says dear Brenda, I really like Kids Time 21:53 and my favorite part is singing. 21:55 Please send an activity book 21:57 and it said I would like to be in Kids Club, 22:00 isn't that adorable? 22:02 And oh!
