00:03 It's time to share, there is a world out
00:06 there looking for a friend like Jesus,
00:09 it's time to share there is a world out there.
00:13 Let's tell them that, He loves us so.
00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids time, Kids time, Kids time.
00:24 You are under arrest.
00:25 No officer, no I didn't, I didn't do anything
00:27 wrong, I really didn't.
00:28 You are right, you didn't commit a crime this time.
00:30 I will take these off. Oh! That scared me.
00:32 All right, and you have to use
00:33 that special key to get them off.
00:35 They are double lock;
00:36 we have to have a key to takes them off.
00:38 You can't do it on your own. Oh!
00:40 You know I always want to obey the law.
00:42 That's right, I hope all of you obey the law.
00:45 I do to, you know, boys and girls,
00:46 when someone commits a crime,
00:48 police officer snap handcuffs on that
00:50 person's wrist just like that.
00:52 And then they push him into a police car and
00:54 you know what they go straight to jail.
00:56 Then he or she will have to wait out to find out
00:59 what the punishment will be.
01:00 You know, they might have to stay in jail
01:02 for years may be even for the rest of their lives.
01:05 Today's Bible story tells of a man who was
01:08 willing to take someone else's punishment.
01:11 Now, you can read about
01:12 this man in the book of Genesis.
01:13 It's a true story and you know what,
01:15 it has a very exciting ending.
01:17 But before you hear the story I just want to
01:19 remind you that someone actually did come to
01:23 rescue you from punishment.
01:25 Just as if you were being hauled away to jail.
01:27 You and I were headed for prison and punishment.
01:30 Now you say wait a minute, but it is true.
01:33 It was the prison house of sin
01:35 and the punishment for sin.
01:38 But, Jesus said wait I will take that punishment.
01:42 I don't want any of my children to have
01:44 to loose the freedom of going to heaven and
01:46 living with Me forever.
01:48 So take me, punish me, but don't touch my
01:51 children, isn't that awesome.
01:54 I love Jesus for saying that,
01:56 and I want to show him every day how grateful I'm.
01:59 You know, I know you do too.
02:02 Well here is Ranger Jim is going to show us some
02:04 fish with some very sharp teeth.
02:14 Hi, boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying
02:15 welcome to Nature Time.
02:16 We're glad you can join us today.
02:18 We're at beautiful Florida Aquarium in Tampa, Florida.
02:20 And you may hear some rumbling around us
02:22 because we are deep inside the aquarium and
02:24 pumps and things of that nature are running and
02:27 there are also other boys and girls
02:28 that are enjoying the aquarium today.
02:30 My friend Eric is here
02:31 and he is the senior biologist here
02:34 at the aquarium and he is going to tell us,
02:35 what are these beautiful sharks that we have here.
02:37 Oh, sure, we got sharks from all over the world here.
02:40 And let's just take a look at that one right
02:42 over there, that's called a zebra shark.
02:44 Now, you might be thinking
02:45 why would you call it a zebra shark?
02:46 He got dots on him, why you call that.
02:48 Dots, no stripes, there's one right there too.
02:50 And we are gonna talk about the reason
02:51 that shark can sit still like that.
02:53 But first it's a zebra shark because when it is
02:55 just a little pup and the pup is the name
02:57 we have for baby sharks A pup like it.
02:59 Yeah, like a little puppy in a sense.
03:01 But, shark pups what we call them.
03:03 That zebra shark, she is gonna lay egg cases.
03:06 Now, they are also called mermaid purses,
03:08 they are about that big and they are brown,
03:09 they are tough and leathery,
03:10 shall wrap them around some seaweed.
03:12 And when that baby hatches out,
03:13 he has got stripes on him like a little white zebra.
03:16 Ah! And they help him blend
03:17 into those grass beds in Australia.
03:19 Then look at this zebra is coming right around. Ah!
03:21 He is gorgeous.
03:22 So, see, look they can swim and they can sit still.
03:25 I'm gonna talk about a neat thing about
03:27 zebra shark and their relatives, the nurse sharks.
03:29 They can pump water into their mouth just like
03:32 he is doing there and out over their gills,
03:35 where as some sharks like that sand tiger hsark,
03:37 they have to keep on moving,
03:39 it's called ram ventilation,
03:41 when the water goes in the mouth
03:43 Force it through.
03:44 And out the gills just like the hood scoop on a car.
03:45 But that's how those guys keep breathing
03:48 when they are swimming, but the zebra can sit still.
03:50 So, let's talk about the zebra sharks.
03:53 Not a zebras, the sand tiger sharks,
03:55 I got too excited there.
03:57 Sand tiger sharks are really unique.
03:58 Now they are one of the older types of shark.
04:01 You can really see their teeth on them where some
04:03 sharks are more streamline.
04:04 So the teeth kind of disappear into them.
04:06 That's because they can lurk up on their food,
04:08 get real close to them and bow they just grab
04:11 it with their teeth like that. Yes.
04:12 Yeah, kind of like guy who does that.
04:14 So, sand tigers are really unique but I got
04:16 to tell you how they reproduce.
04:18 Okay, they don't lay egg cases.
04:20 The sand tigers are very special animals.
04:22 It only has two babies.
04:23 It is two babies but guess what they eat
04:26 every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
04:28 You got me, I give up.
04:29 Their brothers and sisters.
04:31 That's right, two are growing at the same time
04:34 inside their mom, and as they say grow they
04:36 literally swim around, they hunt inside their
04:38 mother for those other little eggs that haven't
04:41 grown, and also even the little sharks.
04:44 If you are the first born,
04:45 not only do you get all the inheritance,
04:47 but you get to eat you brothers and sisters.
04:49 How big is the mother?
04:50 Well the mom is about 10 feet long. Well, okay.
04:52 And she is like 250 pounds.
04:53 She is a big girl, probably this big around.
04:55 But do you know that those pubs come out of her.
04:57 They are born they are 3 feet long.
05:00 They are already active hunters.
05:02 They already know what they are doing,
05:03 so they just go right out and take care of themselves.
05:05 So they are protected when they are very young
05:07 in their mother's body.
05:08 That's right. Then they come out.
05:10 And that's why she only has to have two babies
05:11 about every two years or so.
05:13 Now, let's see, oh check these guys out.
05:15 Those are blacktip reef sharks.
05:17 Now that's only kind of think about
05:18 when we think about shark.
05:19 They are speedy, they are streamlined.
05:21 They are like little torpedoes.
05:22 You will find those in the Pacific Ocean even
05:24 though you see here at the Florida Aquarium.
05:26 But, they are speedy; they can really chase
05:28 down fast moving prey like mackerel and squid.
05:31 Really have a lot of speed then.
05:32 And you were talking before about biting like that. Oh!
05:35 Yeah. Are those of, we see a video of these sharks,
05:38 they come up and take a bait and their lips pull
05:40 peel back from it and their teeth is exposed.
05:42 That's right, those teeth are all there.
05:44 And the blacktip, she is really streamline,
05:46 so she jets through the water.
05:47 But when they go to bite something the teeth come
05:49 right out and grab that prey.
05:51 And they either gulp it down whole or may be
05:53 they just take a bite out of it and gulp it down.
05:55 What about this small fish is riding,
05:56 is that a baby shark.
05:57 Yeah, you know, it looks it would be.
05:59 It looks like it, yes.
06:00 But the thing about baby sharks is they take care
06:01 about themselves when they are born.
06:02 That's a grown up fish called a shark sucker.
06:04 It's called the shark sucker,
06:06 because on top of its head,
06:07 its got a fin that modified in,
06:09 well kind of looks like the bottom on my shoe,
06:11 like a suction cup and it attaches
06:13 right on to that shark.
06:14 So what do you think it gets out of all that?
06:16 Will get protection.
06:18 Like free roaming board.
06:19 That shark sucker rides along on the shark,
06:22 it gets the protection of a big buddy.
06:24 He gets to ride along, get all the food scraps
06:26 he wants when that and tiger shark eats and it
06:30 doesn't have to work very hard.
06:31 Even when he is swimming,
06:32 he is kind of riding in that jet stream there,
06:35 but he can hang right on.
06:36 That is just absolutely.
06:38 I think of all my favorite
06:39 is the blacktip they are beautiful.
06:41 They are just gorgeous.
06:42 Check this guy right over there.
06:43 What do you think a turtle is doing in this tank?
06:46 Well that's an old fellow.
06:47 He is probably a good 50, 60 years old.
06:49 Now he is about 250 pounds.
06:51 He is an Atlantic green sea turtle.
06:53 And he can hold his own just fine with these sharks.
06:55 They don't really bother him,
06:56 he doesn't bother them.
06:57 Just like we're in the water with them.
06:59 We're excited to be in there with them just
07:00 like that big guy.
07:03 that's going go into his stomach.
07:05 And it's probably kind of eating fiber,
07:06 if you know, what I mean.
07:08 It's going to help him out over later on.
07:09 So that's going to make him sink a little better
07:11 in the tank, because he can hold his breadth for
07:13 about an hour down there.
07:14 But these sharks don't really bother him at all.
07:17 He has just seen as a other resident of the tank.
07:19 Eats lot of ladders and lots of green stuff like
07:22 that and the sharks eat their fish and their
07:24 squid, they get along great.
07:26 Happy neighborhood, happy,
07:27 they are terrific boys and girls.
07:28 I wish we could,
07:29 if Eric can come to your school or church.
07:32 He can talk for hours about these creatures. I could.
07:34 What a wonderful thing boys and girls that
07:35 Jesus makes these things for us to see and enjoy
07:38 and share the earth with.
07:39 Though never forget that Ranger Jim is always
07:42 telling you, don't forget to tell Jesus
07:44 that you love Him, because He really does love you.
07:56 Hello boys and girls.
07:57 We are here in the Kids Time set.
07:58 We are in prom to the game of twister has broken out.
08:01 A game where you have to put your arms and legs
08:02 all over this carpet of sheet.
08:04 We're supposed to do one more move but I think
08:06 it's kind of do him in if you do,
08:07 Andrew go and spin. Okay!
08:10 Let see. Left hand red.
08:18 And the ladies came tumbling down.
08:23 Boy's and girls, aren't you glad that you have
08:24 a God that wants you to be happy all the time.
08:28 We want to sign a happy song of Jesus and his love.
08:36 Let's sing a happy song Let's sing about Jesus
08:40 Let's sing a happy song Let's sing about love

09:30 Jesus and His love Let's sing a happy song About
09:34 Jesus and His love
09:49 Hi, boys and girls, welcome to Learning Time.
09:52 We are going to use something today
09:54 that I believe you have at home.
09:56 A lot of people have this.
09:57 And I am going to use toys right here.
10:00 This happens to be a Frisbee.
10:02 We can have lots and lots of fun with
10:04 Frisbees and we are gonna learn a science
10:08 trick, because I love science tricks.
10:11 Now, do you want to learn this. Yeah!
10:13 Yeah! Well okay!
10:15 All we have to do is take our finger.
10:16 We are gonna point our finger up
10:18 in the air just like this.
10:19 You might want to get you Frisbee, go get it,
10:21 because you can join us right here.
10:23 Once you have your finger right here
10:25 pointed straight up in the air.
10:27 We are gonna hang our Frisbee right on just like this.
10:30 And then we're gonna make the frisbee go
10:31 around and around just like that,
10:33 so go ahead and spin it around and round.
10:36 Boy, everybody is doing a good job.
10:38 How about you at home,
10:39 are you doing a good job with this.
10:40 Yeah that part is easy.
10:42 But this trick happens to have three different
10:45 parts and that was the third part.
10:47 Let's learn the first part of this science trick.
10:50 Let's take the Frisbee again.
10:51 We are gonna turn it upside down just like this.
10:54 And we are gonna set that Frisbee down on the floor.
10:58 So let's go to the floor for this.
11:00 We are gonna take our same finger and we are
11:03 gonna make that Frisbee spin round and round on the floor.
11:06 Are you ready?
11:07 Alright here we go around and round and
11:09 round just like that, try that.
11:11 All right and all we have to do is spin it
11:14 around and round.
11:15 Good for you, you are doing a good job.
11:17 Now, I want you to stop.
11:18 Now here comes the second part.
11:21 This is the hardest part to learn.
11:23 I want you to take that finger and I want you to
11:26 make that finger bend back and forth just like this.
11:29 Okay, make your finger bend,
11:31 I want to see it go wiggle, wiggle,
11:32 wiggle that's right.
11:33 Now if you wiggle your finger just right while
11:37 you are spinning your Frisbee.
11:38 That Frisbee will do something really,
11:41 really exciting, I want you to watch this. Here we go!
11:44 I am going to wiggle my finger.
11:46 And I am going to spin it around and around and
11:48 then I lift my hand in the air,
11:50 the Frisbee comes right up in the air.
11:52 Then I am gonna take my finger,
11:54 and I am gonna turn it side ways just like that.
11:57 My Frisbee goes sideways.
11:59 What's another name for sideways?
12:02 Do you know a name? Vertical.
12:04 It's vertical, that's right.
12:05 Then I point my finger straight up in the air
12:07 again and the Frisbee trick is over.
12:10 Okay let's try it guys.
12:12 Spin it around, remember you got to wiggle
12:14 your finger just right, just like there,
12:16 the timing has to be just right.
12:19 If your timing is off,
12:21 you won't be able to do this trick.
12:23 It's all about timing.
12:25 That's right, wiggle wiggle.
12:27 That's right over, wiggle, wiggle.
12:29 Now bring your hand up in the air.
12:30 See if that Frisbee comes up in the air.
12:33 Is it coming up? Not coming.
12:34 Well we're having trouble, aren't we? Hey!
12:37 You know, what I think we need to do,
12:38 I think we need to practice.
12:40 You know, that reminds me boys and girls.
12:43 Timing is just everything in life.
12:46 We have to do the right thing at right time.
12:49 And you know what the right thing at the right
12:51 time is for you right now.
12:53 It's for you to be learning as much as you can.
12:57 And when we learn about science,
13:00 we are learning about our creator, God.
13:12 Hello Judah. What are you doing?
13:14 Welcome friend, please have a seat.
13:18 Our family are packing all of our belongings.
13:20 We will be going to Egypt.
13:21 Why you are going there for?
13:23 Because of the famine, there more food in Egypt.
13:26 And my brother Joseph, he is an important man.
13:29 He is ruler over all the king's granaries.
13:33 Joseph is there because of the things that
13:36 happened years ago.
13:38 He was our younger brother, he and little Benjamin.
13:40 But we were always jealous of him.
13:43 He was my father's favorite.
13:46 One day we were out grazing our father's
13:49 sheep and he came out.
13:51 We thought he had come to spy on us.
13:54 We grabbed him and tore off his coat and threw
13:59 One of the brothers said, let him die there.
14:02 But I looked across the desert
14:04 and I saw a caravan coming traders.
14:08 I said lets sell him as a slave.
14:12 We took him out of the pit.
14:14 We gave him to the traders.
14:16 He cried, no, no don't do this evil,
14:18 but we wouldn't listen to him. That's awful.
14:22 Then we had to decide what to tell my father.
14:24 We took a lamb, we killed it we took its
14:28 blood and spread it on his coat.
14:31 And then we went to my father and said father
14:34 we found this coat. Oh! No.
14:36 It belongs to Joseph.
14:38 A wild beast must have killed him. Oh! That's sad.
14:42 Oh! Father wept and wept, it was terrible to watch.
14:46 That's awful. Now years went by.
14:49 No one knew our secret.
14:51 But then the famine came and we were also hungry.
14:56 So, we have to go to the ruler of the king's
14:58 granary who was second in command to pharaoh.
15:01 And yes it was Joseph. Wow!
15:04 We didn't recognize him.
15:06 It had been so many years.
15:08 He looked like any other Egyptian.
15:10 Oh, he certainly.
15:11 We came before him and said sir, we need grain.
15:14 We are all brothers of one man
15:17 with the younger brother at home.
15:20 He said, no, I don't believe you. You are spies.
15:25 You have come to spy up the land. Oh, terrible.
15:28 I will give grain, but if you come again,
15:31 you must bring your younger brother. Wow!
15:35 We took our grain and went home to our father
15:38 and told him what the ruler had said.
15:40 He said, Oh! No!
15:43 I have already lost my son Joseph.
15:46 I cannot risk loosing Benjamin too.
15:49 Of course not, that would have been very high.
15:51 But finally the grain was gone.
15:53 We were so hungry.
15:55 We needed more food.
15:57 I said father we must take Benjamin back.
16:00 He said take care of my younger son.
16:04 And I said, I will be responsible.
16:07 Of course you did.
16:09 We went there before the ruler again.
16:12 He seemed pleased that our younger brother had come.
16:15 He threw a banquet for us
16:17 in his palace. Wow! That's something.
16:20 There was much food for everyone to eat.
16:22 We filled our bags of grain
16:25 and then we were ready to depart.
16:27 Before we can get out of site,
16:30 the servants came and said wait,
16:32 someone has stolen our master's cup from his table.
16:37 We said no, we are honest men.
16:41 But they looked through our bags.
16:44 And there it was in Benjamin's bag. Oh! No.
16:49 I know he didn't steal it.
16:51 It must have been a plan.
16:53 But we were dragged back before the ruler.
16:55 He looked at us and said because you stole my
16:59 cup, I will take your youngest brother and he
17:02 will be my slave forever.
17:05 What did you do? I thought of my father.
17:07 I said no sir please, I will take his place.
17:12 Please allow him to return to his father.
17:16 I looked up into his eyes.
17:18 There were tears in his eyes.
17:20 He told his servants to leave the room.
17:23 And then he reached out to us and said brothers,
17:28 I'm your long lost brother, Joseph.
17:32 Oh! What a grand day.
17:34 We couldn't believe it. Unbelievable!
17:36 But we feared would he still hate us.
17:40 But Joseph said, no brothers you are forgiven.
17:44 Isn't that wonderful!
17:45 There is plenty of food in Egypt.
17:47 Come, come live here and bring my father with you too.
17:53 So, we have returned home now to pack
17:56 all of our belongings.
17:58 So, we too can go to Egypt. God is good.
18:02 He has forgiven our sin.
18:04 Joseph has forgiven us.
18:07 And what we intended as evil,
18:09 God has turned for the good.
18:13 Praise it to God. Praise the lord.
18:15 I can't wait to get to Egypt.
18:18 What a day and that would be.
18:34 My God is so great, so strong and so mighty,
18:40 there's nothing my God cannot do for you.
18:46 My God is so great, so strong and so mighty,
18:52 there's nothing my God cannot do for you.
18:57 The mountains are his, the rivers are his,
19:03 the whole world are His handiwork.
19:09 My God is so great, so strong and so mighty,
19:15 there's nothing my God cannot do,
19:19 for you My God is so great,
19:23 so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God
19:29 cannot do, for you My God is so great,
19:35 so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God
19:41 cannot do, for you there's nothing
19:45 my God cannot do, for you
19:58 Thank you Cadet Sisters for that beautiful song,
20:00 God is great isn't He?
20:02 And I'm so excited
