00:03 It's time to share, there's a world out there
00:07 looking for a friend like Jesus, 00:10 it's time to share there's a world out there, 00:13 let's tell them that He loves us so, 00:16 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:20 Kids Time Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:24 Hi, boys and girls, 00:25 have you ever tried to tap firewood for a fireplace 00:29 or perhaps woodstove, may be even a campfire. 00:32 Well, uh, let me tell you, it takes a lot of energy 00:37 to chop a big piec of wood like this. 00:40 In today's Bible story, 00:41 you are going to hear about a marvelous God, 00:44 who did something very special for someone, 00:46 who had borrowed an axe. 00:48 Now you know, God really, 00:50 really cares about you, don't you? 00:52 He cares when we are sad, 00:54 or when we are troubled about something 00:56 and he knows everything about you 00:58 and he knows everything about 00:59 what's going on in your life. 01:02 Now, what if you were to loose something special 01:04 that belong to someone else. 01:06 I know I would feel just terrible about it 01:08 and I'm sure you would too? 01:11 Do you suppose God thinks, oh well, too bad, 01:14 next time you're going have to learn to be more careful. 01:17 No way! Our Bible story today tells us 01:20 that God doesn't think that way at all. 01:22 He feels just as badly as we do, 01:25 because He loves us. 01:27 You know, if you have a problem in your life, 01:30 take it to Jesus, because no problem is too big 01:33 or too small for Him. 01:37 Well, now let's join Ranger Jim, 01:38 on the beach in Florida. 01:48 Hi, boys and girls, 01:49 Ranger Jim saying welcome to Nature Time. 01:51 We're glad that you can join us today. 01:52 We're on beautiful Hutchison Island, 01:54 near Fort Pears, Florida. 01:56 And we are at a place called Bathtub Reef, 01:59 and behind me you can see a portion of that reef, 02:02 the tide is coming in 02:03 and it soon will be underwater. 02:05 In fact if we stayed here another hour, 02:07 the water would be up to the Ranger Jim's armpit. 02:10 So the reef is very important to this beach, 02:15 to this entire island in fact. 02:17 Behind me you can see the waves that are catching 02:19 the outer portions of the reef 02:20 and falling forward, 02:21 when they have extremely high tides, 02:23 that protects the entire beach. 02:26 In fact when they have hurricanes 02:27 that is one of the reason this island is still here 02:30 even though regularly most of this beach is washed away. 02:34 They have to come here with machines, 02:35 road-graders, end-loaders and dump trucks 02:38 and bringing the sand back and reestablish the beach, 02:41 because it's a public beach where people come to enjoy. 02:44 So, when a hurricane comes it is very important 02:48 that you have this reef here. 02:50 There have been many hundreds of years ago, 02:52 other beaches in Florida, that now are completely gone. 02:56 They didn't have the protection of the reef 02:59 to stabilize them to keep the and from all washing away 03:02 from the trees and from the housings 03:04 and everything going. 03:05 And so when the hurricane comes 03:07 with winds of 150 miles an hour, 03:10 it's exerting great force on the ocean. 03:13 And out in front of that, 03:14 then there is a wall of water almost like a tidal wave, 03:17 and there have been times here at Fort Pears, 03:20 when there had been hurricanes that came in, 03:22 that would completely over the island. 03:25 Completely washed over the island, 03:27 but because it is basically rock down deep 03:30 then they could reestablish it 03:31 by bringing back in the sand. 03:33 It is part of God's plan 03:35 because when the hurricane comes, 03:37 it redistributes air and temperatures 03:40 and air all around the earth 03:42 as is the Jet screen that we have above us. 03:44 That also circling the earth is part of God's plan. 03:48 We hav rivers of water over on the West Coast of 03:51 what we call the Gulf Stream 03:53 and that's a great river of water, 03:55 with warm water flowing around, 03:56 all through the earth, all around the earth, 03:59 God's great plan was put into motion. 04:01 When He puts the earth here in the perfect position, 04:04 just the right distance from the sun 04:06 and this is the place that we occupy and enjoy. 04:09 So, boys and girls, don't forget to tell Jesus, 04:12 that you love Him, 04:13 because He really does love you. 04:27 The trees are gently swaying, 04:31 swaying, swaying, 04:35 The trees are gently swaying, 04:39 Showing God that we love, I still like that song. 04:47 Bobby, why don't you tell the kids at home, 04:49 what you're doing? 04:50 Well, Isaiah 55 says, 04:53 "That the trees of the field shall clap their hands," 04:55 so I'm just putting main mints 04:57 and stuff on this tree for it to keep warm. 05:01 Boys and girls, he is absolutely right. 05:04 As we get closer and closer to Jesus coming. 05:07 We are going to get more and more of the Holy Spirit 05:09 and the joy is going to be so obvious, 05:12 even the trees of the field will clap their hands. 05:19 You shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace 05:24 The mountains and the hills 05:26 shall break forth before you know, 05:28 There'll be shouts of joy, 05:30 and all the trees of the field 05:32 shall clap, shall clap their hands 05:36 And all the trees of the field 05:38 shall clap t0heir hands 05:40 The trees of the field shall clap their hands 05:44 The trees of the field shall clap their hands 05:48 While you go out with joy. 05:53 One more time here we go, 05:55 You shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace 06:00 The mountains and the hills 06:01 will break forth before you know, 06:04 There'll be shouts of joy, 06:05 and all the trees of the field 06:07 shall clap, shall clap their hands 06:11 And all the trees of the field 06:13 shall clap their hands 06:15 The trees of the field shall clap their hands 06:19 The trees of the field shall clap their hands 06:23 While you go out with joy. 06:35 Welcome, boys and girls, welcome to "Learning Time". 06:38 Today we've got a very special experiment? 06:41 How many of you like colors? 06:43 I love colors 06:45 because colors make up the world 06:47 that you and I live in. 06:48 in fact, you know what, 06:49 most of us are different colors anyway, 06:51 look at all the flowers around us today 06:53 and you may have flowers at your house 06:55 that are different colors, I hope so, 06:57 because colors are really cool. 06:59 Today, we are going to take some safety glasses, 07:02 and I have Latoya and Johnny and Logan, 07:05 they are going to help us with this experiment. 07:07 Are you ready for a color experiment? 07:10 Yeah! Yeah! 07:12 Now, I've got some water right here 07:14 and I'm going to pour some water, 07:15 let see, let's try this one right here. 07:17 We're going to pour 07:18 about 50 milliliters of water in here 07:21 and let's find out what happens to that? 07:22 What color is that? 07:23 Blue! Blue! 07:25 It's blue, let's find out 07:26 what happens when we pour this water 07:28 in this graduated cylinder right here, 07:31 what color is that? 07:32 Yellow! Looks yellow to me, 07:34 and I'm wondering 07:35 what this color is going to be here? 07:37 Red! Well know, you boys and girls at home, 07:41 can you guess what the next color might be? 07:44 Well, you just might be right. 07:46 Let's try this one over here. 07:47 We're going to pour this right in there 07:49 and let's see what color that is? 07:52 Wow! What color is that? Blue! Blue! 07:54 Hey, let's go ahead 07:56 and let's see what colors we have? 07:58 We have what? blue, 08:00 and then yellow, what color is that? 08:03 Orange, Wow! 08:04 It looks orange to me. 08:05 Then we have blue again, 08:07 I'm going to try the next one. 08:09 Let's see what color this one is going to turn out to be. 08:13 Wow! That looks like kind of pink. 08:16 Does it look kind of red to you or pink? 08:18 Now, we're going to do the last one right here. 08:20 What color do you think it's going to be? 08:22 Blue! It could be any color, right. 08:25 What color do you think it's going to be? 08:28 You might be right, here we go 08:29 and let's try this one right here, 08:30 we're going to pour it in there, 08:32 and what color is that? Like orange. 08:35 Its' turning pink or orange, 08:37 I'll tell you what we are going to do? 08:38 Logan, would you like to do this for us, 08:40 have you ever mixed colors? 08:43 Wow! Let's try this right here. 08:45 I'm going to ask you to pour this right inside of there. 08:49 If we mix red and blue, 08:51 what color do you think we make? 08:54 Well, let's find out. 08:55 Pour right in there, Logan. 08:56 Let's pour right in and what color is that? 09:00 Purple! It's purple! 09:02 Now did you know that it was going to be purple? 09:04 Red and blue make purple, that's interesting to me. 09:07 Now Latoya, I'm going to ask you to take this blue 09:10 and let's see what would happen 09:12 if she adds it to the yellow one. 09:15 What color do you think it's going to be? 09:17 What color do you think it's going to be? 09:18 Green! Let's find out Latoya, what? 09:23 that's a pretty green color. 09:25 Johnny, I've got two more colors 09:27 for you right here. 09:28 What would happen if we take and mix the blue, 09:33 okay, here's the blue and the green? 09:35 Would you add both of those together for us, 09:37 let's see what you can get? 09:41 Oh! It doesn't change it much, does it? 09:43 I've got another container right here, 09:45 this is called a beaker. 09:47 I'm going to put this right there, 09:48 Latoya, I want you to pour that one right in there. 09:51 Let's mix all of the colors together. 09:53 What do you think we would get 09:55 if we mix all of these colors in the same container. 09:59 A rainbow, okay, Logan, 10:01 why don't you pour that one in there, 10:03 okay Johnny, you get ready to pour this one in there. 10:05 I move it some out of the way for you, 10:07 that's right, pour right in there, 10:08 pour, real quick, okay that's great, 10:12 oh, little spill, no problem, 10:13 and pour some of that in there. 10:16 Excellent! And I've got a little orange right here, 10:18 let's add this over here and what color did we make? 10:23 Well, it turned dark, didn't it? 10:25 But you know, we can make just about any color 10:27 from any other colors by adding them together. 10:30 You know, every time we learn something new about science, 10:33 we are learning something new about our creator, God. 10:44 Oh! Hello, my name is Jared, 10:47 I'm a student at the school of the Prophets 10:49 that was started many years ago. 10:51 Like a lot of parents, 10:53 my mother and father wanted me to get a good education, 10:56 the best possible. 10:57 So, they sent me away to school, 11:00 I don't get to go home very often 11:02 and it's a very, very long trip. 11:06 But you know what? 11:07 I'm on my way home right now to visit 11:09 for a coupl of days. 11:11 When I first arrived at the school, 11:13 there was a lot of confusion. 11:15 There was a lot of young students there, 11:17 just milling about 11:18 and the older students were standing talking in groups. 11:21 And the teachers were trying to hide the worried 11:23 expressions on their faces. 11:25 I was wondering what could possibly be wrong. 11:30 And the teachers had a meeting 11:31 to discuss something, we didn't know what? 11:35 Finally, after what seemed like hours, 11:38 the teachers came up and spoke. 11:40 We have a big problem he said, 11:43 the school is too small, 11:45 some of you will have to go home. 11:48 Oh! No, 11:50 I wasn't going to get to stay at school. 11:53 My parents would be so disappointed 11:55 if I don't get to stay. 11:58 And I could tell that everyone else in the room 12:01 must have been thinking the same thing, 12:03 because many of the students were saying, 12:05 oh, but, I want to stay, can't you squeeze me in. 12:09 I can sleep in a little corner 12:11 and you'll hardly notice that I'm here. 12:14 Well, those teachers kept saying 12:16 no the school is simply too small. 12:19 One of the older students boomed out, 12:22 so why don't we build a bigger school, 12:24 we can all help. 12:26 Everybody started yelling loudly, 12:29 yeah, we can help. 12:31 And the teacher said well, we'll have to ask Elijah, 12:35 if we can help and build a bigger school. 12:38 Until then you may all stay. 12:40 We all cheered very loudly. 12:43 We were going to get to stay at school. 12:46 Arrangements were made for Elijah 12:49 to get here as soon as possible. 12:51 And when he got here, 12:53 he saw how crowded it was 12:55 and immediately gave his permission for the expansion. 12:58 Plans were made to chop down trees down the Jordon River, 13:02 so, but wait a minute, I didn't have an axe, 13:06 how could I help? 13:08 Well, I sort out to teacher 13:10 and when I finally found one that wasn't busy. 13:13 I asked him how can I help, I have no axe. 13:17 Imagine my relief when he told me 13:19 that I could borrow one axe for the day. 13:22 Oh! I could stay at school yes. 13:27 Finally the day came 13:28 when we were going to chop down the trees. 13:31 We went down to the Jordon River 13:33 and we all chose a tree and began chopping. 13:37 Chopping down trees is very hard work 13:40 and soon we had all worked up a sweat. 13:43 Well, we were chopping chop, chop, chop, 13:48 all you could hear was the sounds of trees 13:50 being chopped and crashing to the ground. 13:53 I was chopping down the tree 13:55 when suddenly the axe head flew off the handle 14:00 and I could hear it splashing the Jordon River. 14:04 Oh! No, the Jordon River was very muddy 14:07 and it moved very fast. 14:09 There was no way 14:10 that I could get my axe head out of that river. 14:13 So I immediately, 14:15 sort out Elijah to tell him what had gone wrong. 14:18 Whenever you break something that doesn't belong to you, 14:20 you should tell someone about it right away. 14:23 What, I'm to do I said, for the axe was borrowed. 14:29 Elijah asked me to show him the place. 14:32 So I showed him exactly where it was 14:35 and I watched in amazement as he cut off a stick 14:40 and threw it at the spot 14:41 where the axe head had fallen. 14:44 And then the axe head just floated to the top. 14:48 The iron axe head floated, you heard me right. 14:53 I could not believe it. 14:54 Then he told me to reach out and pick it up, so I did. 14:59 The look on Elijah's face, 15:01 you would think that he had seen axe heads float before, 15:04 but I had never seen an iron axe head float ever. 15:09 God has done that miracle for me. 15:12 He must love me 15:13 so much to do a miracle like that for me. 15:16 He loves each and every one of us, 15:18 and he can do miracles for us too. 15:21 All you have to do is let Him. 15:23 Well, I need to be on my way. 15:25 May be when I travel back this way, 15:26 if you are here, you can come to school with me. 15:46 What made give your last cookie away 15:51 Or help me clean my room all day 15:56 Why would you let me use your stereo 16:00 Or save me the middle of your Oreo 16:05 Why would you always try to be there 16:11 when I really, really need you there to care 16:20 You're always willing to share 16:25 Love makes a friend be a friend like you 16:29 Love takes a friendship and turns it into 16:34 Something to last your whole life through 16:39 Love makes a friend be a friend like you 16:51 What makes you wanna give your heart away 16:55 What makes open up and say 17:00 All of the feelings that you hold inside 17:05 All of the secrets that you try to hide 17:09 Why would you always try to be 17:14 There when I really really need you there to care 17:24 You're always willing to share 17:29 Love makes a friend be a friend like you 17:33 Love takes a friendship and turns it into 17:38 Something to last your whole life through 17:45 Love makes a friend be a friend like you 17:50 Love makes a friend be a friend like you 18:16 Thank you, for that beautiful song. 18:17 I enjoyed that so much, and I'm sure you did too. 18:20 Well, today I have something special for you, 18:22 I have not one but two guests to introduce you too 18:26 and that's my friends Elless and Elaine. 18:28 Hi, guys!
