00:06 looking for a friend like Jesus, 00:13 it's time to share there is a world out there. 00:14 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:17 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:20 Kids time, Kids time, Kids time. 00:24 Raise your right hand; 00:25 place your left hand on the Bible. 00:27 Do you swear to tell the truth, 00:28 the whole truth and nothing but the 00:30 truth so help you God, I do. 00:34 Boys and girls what you just saw is something 00:38 that takes place in court rooms every day. 00:39 People in court have to promise to tell the truth. 00:41 Now they put their hand on the Bible just 00:43 as you saw me do, and they swear to tell 00:45 the truth because the Bible is a Holy Book 00:49 and it's believe that no one would tell alive 00:51 while their hand rest upon the word of God. 00:54 But, wouldn't it be wonderful everyone in 00:56 the world always told the truth no matter what. 01:00 Well our Bible story today tells about a brave 01:02 woman a prophet of God. 01:04 Now this woman always spoke the truth, 01:06 even when it was difficult, 01:08 now sometimes she had good news for 01:10 people but there were times that she had 01:12 to tell people things they didn't 01:14 want to hear at all. Yet she continued 01:17 to speak the truth. I hope you will always 01:20 be brave like the woman in our Bible story today. 01:22 And tell the truth even when it would 01:24 be easier to tell a lie. Well right now 01:27 Ranger Jim is going to show us a very large 01:30 animal with their very long nose. 01:34 Can you guess what it is? Let's watch and see. 01:44 Hi boys and girls Ranger Jim saying welcome 01:46 to Nature Time. We are at Lion Country Safari 01:48 near West Palm Beach Florida this is 01:50 my friend Terry. And Terry is very 01:53 knowledgeable about elephants and Terry, 01:55 tell us something about these beautiful creatures. 01:57 Well these are African elephants. 01:59 They are different from the Asian elephants 02:02 and that they have larger ears. 02:04 We have a very nice group here 02:05 of three females and one male. 02:08 Very good, now you have one here I see tusk, 02:12 tells us about the tusk of the elephant, 02:14 do they all have tusk? 02:16 All elephants have tusks. 02:17 They are made of ivory. It's a kind of modified 02:20 tooth that grows out of their face instead of 02:23 in their mouth. And it grows through 02:25 out entire lifetime. It's what they use to 02:27 strip the bark off trees, or to dig up lumps of 02:31 sod that they like to eat and once they shake 02:33 the dirt off them, it's a tool that they use 02:35 to help feed themselves, 02:36 and also to defend themselves. 02:38 Very good, now tell us about the trunk, 02:40 boys and girls you've seen the elephant trunk. 02:42 And the elephant can use that for biting 02:45 or taking things from trees and tearing it up 02:47 and I've heard is it true they can pick up a peanut? 02:50 They pick up smoothing as small as a diamond, 02:53 it's a very talented instrument and it's 02:54 also something that they breathe through 02:56 when they were under water. 02:57 They use to; underwater, 02:59 underwater just like a snorkel they hold up. 03:02 They use it to pick up like I said pieces of sod 03:05 and shake dirt off of. They can modify sticks, 03:08 to scratch themselves with it you know 03:10 and hold it in a trunk like that so. 03:12 Wonderful I've seen him taking 03:13 a shower do they do that also? 03:15 They love to take baths; 03:17 it's one of their major parts of the day. 03:19 They will take that and then pull the water up, 03:21 how do they pull the water into there? 03:23 They have a unique sort of system that 03:25 allows and suck up about 5 gallons of water 03:28 into their trunk. Their chest actually 03:31 pulls the lungs apart, icks up this very heavy 03:34 5 gallons of water and they can blow 03:36 it on their back to take a bath or they can 03:38 drink it if they like whatever they want to do. 03:41 That's just wonderful, boys and girls we are 03:43 at the elephant pin where we are doing this 03:45 taping you may hear sounds going by you 03:47 may hear an automobiles pass by, 03:49 a helicopter go over but that's okay, 03:51 we are just continue to talk about. 03:52 Now these are all adults are they Terry, 03:54 these are all adults? They are all adults 03:55 Bloggy is a male here, was born here, 03:57 is 22 years old. The other three 03:59 females came from Africa. The oldest is in her 04:02 mid 40s and the youngest 04:04 female is about 27 or 28. 04:07 Well how old would they live? 04:08 They would live about the same lifespan 04:10 that we do. They can live up to 60 or 70 years. 04:13 Wonderful, wonderful, it is wonderful, yeah. 04:15 Now I have heard that the baby 04:17 is quite large when it's born? 04:19 Yes the babies can weigh about 200 pounds, 04:21 up to 200 pounds when they are born. 04:25 The female elephant is pregnant 04:26 for over two years. And it's a very 04:29 social thing when elephants are born. 04:31 All the females get involved they all 04:33 help out and they all take part 04:35 in raising the baby. Isn't that wonderful? 04:37 That's just amazing. Tell me what do you 04:40 feed them here mainly? 04:41 Well they feed on hay and grain. 04:44 And we feed them a little produce too 04:45 they like everything. Elephants are, 04:47 eat all the time, eat all day long. 04:50 They eat about 100 pounds of hay each a day, 04:53 and up to about 20 pounds of grain. 04:56 And then we can feed them up to 50, 60, 04:58 70 pounds of produce to whatever we 05:00 have available. And we also cut 05:02 down branches and tress we trim our 05:04 landscape guys bring over stuff 05:07 and they love to feed on that. 05:08 Tell me about the ivory now I understand 05:10 that the elephants have been 05:12 hunted for their ivory. 05:14 That's true, the ivory is treasured by 05:18 especially carvers in China, 05:20 they carve little trinkets and statuette 05:23 and things like that out of it. 05:24 And it's become pretty valuable 05:26 and that's the reason that a lot elephants 05:28 have been killed or poached 05:33 because of that ivory. There is a lot of strict 05:34 laws about it in Africa and in Asia now. 05:35 So, we hope that those laws will 05:37 help protect the elephants, amen. 05:38 Isn't that amazing boys and girls, 05:40 can you imagine someone that would 05:41 go out and kill some beautiful creature 05:43 like this that we are looking at. 05:45 Just to get that ivory tusk and cut it up 05:48 in little pieces to make a trinket to 05:50 sell it to someone. That is just I cannot 05:54 even hardly bare the thought of that to 05:55 think this someone to go out and kill 05:57 this beautiful creature. And in years passed 06:00 hurters have gone out, I mean wealthy 06:02 Americans and people all over the world, 06:04 have gone to Africa to buy a license 06:06 and take high powered rifle and go out 06:08 and kill one of these beautiful creatures. 06:10 It's true, and it, they are very 06:12 difficult to replace like I say they have a 06:15 very large long lifespan, but it's difficult for 06:18 her to recover from damage that's 06:21 done by poaching takes a long time. 06:23 Long time, how long does a baby 06:25 stay with their mother usually? 06:26 A baby is nursed and stay with their mother 06:29 for at least 7 years, 8 years. 06:31 The females will stay with their mother for 06:33 their entire life time. But, you might need 10:21 some help with that. I'm a prophetess, 13:09 a messenger of God. A few days ago 13:11 King Josiah send the high priest Hilkiah 13:14 and several other men of Jerusalem 13:15 to speak with me. They wanted me to 13:18 ask God some important questions and give 13:20 them God's answers to these questions. 13:23 You see the high priest discovered the book 13:26 of the law in the temple and he showed 13:28 it to the King. King Josiah wanted 13:31 to know of what the Lord had told Moses 13:33 would come to pass. I was so excited to see 13:37 that the scroll had been found. 13:39 The very words of God that Moses had recorded 13:43 the words which I treasure and esteem 13:45 so much. I unrolled the scroll and I read 13:49 this to the high priest and the men who had 13:52 come with him. Hear O Israel 13:55 the Lord our God is one. Love the Lord your 13:58 God with all of your heart and with all of 13:59 your soul and with all of your strength. 14:03 Fear the Lord your God and serve him only. 14:06 Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples 14:08 around you. For the Lord your God, 14:11 who is among you, will cause his anger 14:13 to burn against you, Sand he will destroy 14:16 you from the face of the land if you 14:19 follow other Gods. You will be cursed 14:21 in the city and cursed in the country. 14:24 Sudden ruling will come up on you because 14:26 what you've done because you did not obey 14:29 the Lord your God. My heart was so happy 14:33 and my throat felt tight. But I lovingly read 14:36 the message to these men as I read 14:39 the words of my God. My eyes began to 14:42 well up with tears. I thought of all sense 14:46 of my people how they murdered so many 14:48 prophets and yet they were giving Sorcerers 14:51 a place of honor. Sorcerers what these 14:55 men practice was a horrible sin and yet my 14:58 people were honoring them. 15:00 My people offered innocents before pagan 15:03 idols in the temple. They did all kinds of 15:06 horrible sins before our God. 15:09 Oh! God had ever asked of us as a people. 15:13 Is that we would recognize him as 15:15 our loving Father. And that we would 15:17 honor him with loving obedience. 15:20 He gave us so many wonderful promises 15:23 he blessed our lives in so many ways 15:26 and he warned us so often with messages 15:28 through the prophets. Yet my people ignored 15:31 God's warning. They would honor 15:34 him they were unfaithful to God. 15:36 And they were warning to know if God 15:38 would now discipline them because 15:40 they've been so bad. So I continued reading 15:43 and this is what the Lord said. 15:46 I'm going to bring disaster on this place 15:49 and its people according to every thing 15:51 written in this book of the law. 15:53 Because they have forsaken me and they 15:55 have chased after idols and pagan things 15:58 that aren't Gods at all. My anger will burn 16:02 against this place. Then the Lord told me this, 16:07 He said, tell King Josiah the King of Judah 16:11 because he sent these men to inquire of you and 16:15 have you go before the Lord and inquire of him. 16:19 King Josiah because your heart was responsive, 16:21 and you humbled yourself before the Lord 16:23 when you heard what I had spoken against 16:25 this place and its people. Because you've repented 16:29 and asked for forgiveness I have argues 16:32 declares the Lord. Therefore King Josiah, 16:36 I will gather you to your fathers and you 16:38 will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not 16:41 see the disaster that I'm going to bring 16:43 on this place. Oh! The King was so pleased. 16:47 When he heard the message that God said 16:50 and yet he knew that he had to make dramatic 16:54 changes in the land. So he gave orders for 16:57 the religious practices to be changed 17:00 and and I know that our loving God will honor 17:03 these changes and He will bless us. 17:07 You see God is love and He only wants what 17:11 is best for us. God has given us 17:13 instructions in his word. And he asked that 17:17 we obey him not for his benefit but 17:20 for our benefit. And then you did 20:55 that on your Vacation Bible School, 20:57 so are you planning to do anything else later? 21:01 I'm gonna plan of raising money, 21:04 around the house doing chores, 21:08 cleaning the house, washing my dog and 21:10 stuff and then I'm gonna raise money and I'll 21:13 go to out to the stores again and I will get 21:17 food and take it to the World Food Bank. 21:20 Oh! That's a wonderful way to share Jesus Madison. 21:23 Now how much money will get paid for 21:24 washing the dishes? I don't know. 21:27 You don't know yet. You better go and 21:28 negotiate some good wages. 21:32 Well that's a wonderful way to share Jesus. 21:34 Thank you for telling me about that. 21:36 Well boys and girls I have some letters 21:38 I would like to share with you. 21:39 And this one has the most adorable love 21:44 and he is holding a real cute little lamb. 21:47 Isn't that adorable? Well let's see what 21:50 he has to say. It says dear Miss Brenda, 21:52 I love Kids Time, I'm four and half years 21:54 old and I like to share Jesus by sharing my 21:57 animals with other children. 21:59 The lamb I'm holding is named creampuff, 22:01 isn't that a cute name? 22:03 Said thank you for Kids Time, 22:04 love Matthew. Well thank you Matthew for 22:06 sharing that and Ithink creampuff is adorable. 22:10 Alright let's see, I have a letter here 22:13 and it says from, the stamp says it 22:15 from the Grenada. And you know what 22:19 there's no address so I can't answer this letter. 22:22 So it's from Ginal Thomas. Ginal would you write 22:25 me again and send me your address so 22:27 I can write back to you, okay. 22:29 I love it boys and girls when you write to me 22:31 but I need a returnee address to answer 22:33 your letters. Okay. 23:18 And this letter says dear Miss Brenda 23:20 I share Jesus by telling people about Jesus 23:23 dying on the cross and I would like a Kids Time 23:25 activity book I'm 7-years-old and I'm 23:28 sending a picture of me. Well thank you Haley 23:30 I'll send out an activity book to you right 23:32 away and thank you for writing. 23:36 This letter is from Brianna from Cassopolis, 23:38 Michigan. Boy that's a big word isn't it? 23:40 And another picture, I love these pictures 23:43 boys and girls thank you for sending the pictures. 23:46 Oh! I'm sorry Madison, you got that. You know what I'm 23:54 glad kids you're joining kids club. 23:56 We have lots of kids joining kids club and 24:00 lessons and learn all about Jesus. 24:03 It said please send me the Bible lessons 24:04 and I like your programs very much 24:06 thank you Brianna. I like that too. 24:39 It says I like to share Jesus with others. 24:41 Today when a neighbor boy scratched his 24:43 leg I helped him and he felt better afterwards. 24:46 I also like to talk to an elderly farmer 24:48 who lives near us. His wife just died 24:51 and I like to cheer him up and make 24:52 him feel better. I would like to join 24:54 the kids club, it sounds like a lot of fun 24:56 and I have sent a picture of myself. 24:58 My Brother Joseph is in the background, 25:00 thank you, God bless you Benjamin. 25:02 And let's see here's what, Oh!
