00:03 It's time to share, there's a world out there
00:07 looking for a friend like Jesus, it's time to share, 00:12 there's a world out there. Let's tell them 00:14 that He loves us so. Let's tell them 00:18 that He loves us so. Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:24 Hi, boys and girls. 00:26 I, oh! Just a minute, just a minute. 00:28 [sneezing] 00:43 Oh! Excuse me. I don't know what got into me, 00:45 I just had to sneeze. And I don't know, 00:48 if you were counting or not, but I think 00:50 I sneezed seven times. Well, the truth is of course 00:55 that I did all that sneezing on purpose. 00:57 I did it because I want you to remember something 01:00 very important about our Bible story today. 01:03 It's about a little boy, a little boy who was loved 01:06 so much that when he was born his mother and father, 01:10 they thought he was absolutely perfect. 01:13 They actually had a good reason for thinking that, 01:15 for this little boy was an answer to prayer, 01:18 a real miracle. But something happened 01:21 to this child that was even greater miracle. 01:24 I'll give you just one small hint. 01:27 The miracle involved seven sneezes. 01:31 God's book, the Bible is full of wonderful 01:33 and interesting stories, stories that helps you to know 01:36 all about Jesus and how much He loves you. 01:40 You know, I want you to try to learn 01:41 something from the Bible everyday, won't you? 01:44 Read God's word; learn those stories 01:47 and you will become closer to Jesus. 01:50 But first before you hear the story today let's see 01:53 what Ranger Jim has for us. 01:55 I'm sure it's something very special. 02:06 Oh, hi, there boys and girls, Ranger Jim, 02:07 saying welcome to Nature Time. I'm out fishing today 02:11 and I molted canal with my fly rod and having some fun. 02:14 And I have something under marine here at, 02:18 oh it's a nice Bluegill. They're fun to catch. 02:23 They put up a good scrap and a good fight 02:24 and I catch them and look at them 02:26 and I release them and that's a lot of fun. 02:28 And I do this on a fly rod. It's a very long limber pole 02:31 as you can see. Ah, pick him up, okay. 02:37 This is Mr. Bluegill and the Blue Heron just flew by 02:40 and he likes Bluegills to eat. And when he saw that I had 02:44 a fish he was in hopes that I would feed him the fish. 02:46 I'm not going to. Sometimes fishermen do, 02:49 but I'm going to release the fish and take the hook out. 02:51 And you could see this is what I was fishing with. 02:55 This is an artificial fly. We call it a Popper. 02:58 It floats over the top of the water. 02:59 It has hair and Mr. Bluegill eats things like that. 03:03 And so that fools him. But it has a hook in there. 03:07 And this is a Bluegill. Beautiful fish gets his name 03:10 from a little tab here on the side of his gill, 03:13 a little blue tab and so he' called a Bluegill. 03:16 And so we're going to release him unharmed 03:18 and put him back in the water. Mr. Bluegill, there you go 03:21 and have fun and this is the device 03:24 that I used to catch the fish with. 03:26 Now another one of my hobbies is taking a fur and feathers 03:30 and things of that nature. And I take a hook and I tie 03:36 the feathers to it and the fly and I duplicate the kind 03:39 of insects and larva that live in the stream. 03:43 And by doing that then when I use my fly rod I go out 03:46 and this either floating on the surface, if it's a fly 03:49 or if it's under water, I put some weight on it 03:51 to make it go down deeper. 03:52 The fish see it and they grab it thinking its food, 03:56 but there is a hook in there boys and girls. 03:58 And that's the way the devil works for us. 04:01 He fishes for us. 04:02 He makes it looks attractive to us. 04:04 It looks like it's perfectly normal and okay, 04:07 then when we grab it then we're hooked. 04:10 There are so many things in life 04:11 that I'd like to caution you as my young friends about. 04:14 That's just like that. Some people will say, 04:17 oh! Just take a little puff of this or a little puff of that 04:20 and there is a hook in there 04:22 you want to be very, very careful. 04:25 Someone will say, oh! Take a little drink of this 04:27 or let's do that. Everyone's doing it. 04:30 Maybe everyone at your school is doing it, 04:31 but that doesn't mean its right. 04:33 So you keep in mind that fact 04:35 like Ranger Jim with all the other different things 04:38 that you can see in my box, I have many of them. 04:41 And this is one that I like to catch fish with. 04:43 It is very effective on some fish 04:47 and that's a way temptation. It was symbolized. 04:50 Sometimes temptation comes to very young boys and girls. 04:53 Maybe mother just made some nice cookies 04:55 and she says, no you can't have one until after supper. 04:58 It will spoil your appetite. Mothers usually say that. 05:01 And so the boys and girls are tempted 05:03 to go and get one of those cookies. 05:05 That's another fly. 05:07 Another fly is, sometimes boys and girls are tempted 05:11 by the devil to be whiners. 05:13 And this is one here that I call my whiner fly. 05:15 Okay, when hardly anything else works, if the weather 05:19 is cold and bad, I take this and I put 05:22 my whiner fly out there because I know there is fish 05:25 that liked of whine, that is boys and girls, 05:27 they like to whine to get their way. 05:29 The devil uses that. Be careful boys and girls. 05:32 I hope we don't have any whiners in our group. 05:35 I hope we don't have any whiners that watch Kids Time 05:38 for witnessing, but I'm sure that maybe are few 05:41 and then there are other days when I can't catch them on that 05:44 and this is the one here that is really spectacular. 05:48 It has a beautiful, shiny beat on the end of it. 05:52 On the days when hardly any fish are hungry, 05:55 this is the one I can always count on. 05:58 And this is very attractive. And sometime 06:01 Satan tempts us boys and girls 06:03 with this, that they are attracted to someone else's toy 06:08 or someone else's bike or something like that. 06:12 And they are attracted to it because it's beautiful. 06:14 It isn't there's, but they are attracted to it 06:17 and they take it. 06:19 Oh! Boys and girls we never want to do that, do we? 06:22 We would never want to take that regardless 06:24 of how attractive it is to us, we wouldn't want to take it 06:27 because like, Mr. Bluegill, 06:29 we know that there is a hook in that. 06:31 So boys and girls, I hope this little time with Ranger Jim 06:34 fishing has been a lesson for you and you remember 06:37 the devil has a fly box full of things 06:39 to tempt you with and to tip Ranger Jim with. 06:42 We can't accept his temptation, can we? 06:45 So let's be faithful to Jesus and do what we know is right. 06:47 Remember there is a consequence 06:49 when we do those things that are not right. 06:51 So, as always Ranger Jim saying, boys and girls 06:55 don't forget to tell Jesus that you love Him 06:57 because He really does love you. 07:30 Boys and girls, are you ready to sing? 07:33 Yes. Let's get ready to sing. 07:37 We're missing some, somebody is, Brittany still asleep. 07:41 Rasnick, can you wake up Brittany, please? 08:00 I noticed over there that you were really tired. 08:03 Why were you so tired? 08:05 We were at a Kids Time party last night and it was great. 08:09 Oh! It was really, really good. I enjoyed it too. 08:14 I also noticed that as soon as your feet hit the floor 08:18 you were praying. That's wonderful. 08:20 What's up with that? 08:22 Uncle Buddy, the first person 08:24 I like to talk to in the morning is Jesus. 08:28 That's an excellent idea. When you get up, 08:31 it means we'll start with the best. 08:33 It's good to praise the Lord 08:34 first thing in the morning, right Brittany? 08:41 When I wake up in the morning. And I lift up my head, 08:45 I sing, "Praise the Lord, praise the Lord." 08:49 When I roll right out of bed, And my feet hit the floor, 08:54 I sing, "Praise the Lord praise the Lord." 08:58 Good morning, Lord, I love You, I just wanted You to know. 09:02 Here's my heart, my life, my will, myself, 09:05 I yield it all to You Take my life and use it, 09:09 guide my feet along the way May you words my heart, 09:12 renew your spirit fill me each day! 09:19 When I see the morning sunlight and I breathe in fresh air, 09:23 I sing, "Praise the Lord, praise the Lord." 09:27 When I spend time in God's word, talk to Jesus in prayer! 09:32 I sing, "Praise the Lord, praise the Lord." 09:36 Good morning Lord, I love you. I just wanted you to know. 09:39 Here's my life, my heart, my will, myself, 09:42 I yield it all to you. Take my life and use it, 09:46 guide my feet along the way. May you words my heart, 09:50 renew your spirit fill me each day! 09:58 When I go to bed in night, and I lay down my head 10:03 I sing, "Praise the Lord, praise the Lord" 10:09 I'll be looking for You when I'm walking today 10:14 I sing praise the Lord praise the Lord! 10:19 Good evening Lord, I love you; I just wanted you to know. 10:24 Here's my life, my heart, my will, myself, 10:27 I yield it all to you. Take my life and use it, 10:32 guide my feet along the way. May you words my heart, 10:37 renew your spirit fill me each day! 10:41 May you words my heart, renew your spirit 10:45 fill me each day! 11:09 Hi, boys and girls, welcome to Learning Time. 11:12 I've got a very special piece of equipment today. 11:16 I want you to look over here 11:18 and I've got a lot of friends over here. 11:20 We're gonna look at this piece of equipment. 11:23 This piece of equipment is called a Newtonian Cradle. 11:27 Some people have these on their desktops. 11:29 Have you ever seen that? They've got five 11:31 little steel ballls, you take one of them 11:33 and you drop it into the others and something exciting happens. 11:37 Now, this is one of the very special laws of science. 11:41 Now, I've got a helper over here, 11:43 and let see what we can do with this one here. 11:46 Now, Warren is going to help us with this 11:49 and I want you to take one of these balls over here. 11:52 Can you grab one of those balls for us? 11:54 And why don't you drag that back for us. 11:56 And what do you suppose is going to happen 11:58 when he drops it or releases it? 12:01 What do you think is gonna happen? 12:03 Well, let's find out. We've got one 12:06 and what happens on the other side? 12:10 That's right! If we get one in then one goes out. 12:13 For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. 12:18 This is what does teach us today. 12:20 Now, hey let's try two of those balls. 12:23 Now, Tory is gonna help us with that, 12:25 Tory is gonna grab a hold of this orange ball 12:27 and we're gonna find out 12:29 when we have two balls coming in. 12:31 I'm wondering how many balls, do you think. 12:35 Would you have guessed that? Two going in and two goes out. 12:39 Well, this is going to be interesting 12:41 because we have more than just two balls. 12:44 I'm going to take this ball right here. 12:47 Now we gonna put three of those balls 12:49 and we're gonna make all three of those balls come in. 12:52 But there is a little bit of a problem. 12:54 Do we have three balls over here? No! Oh, no. 12:57 I'm wondering what's gonna happen? 12:58 Okay, let's pull this back and let's let it go and.... 13:02 Wow! Did you see that? If three go in, 13:05 and how many have to go out? Three. Three! 13:09 Hey, let stop these balls, let see what happens, 13:12 if we use four. Alright, I'm gonna take this green ball; 13:16 I'm gonna move this back like this 13:18 and let's let these in go and, four, four in and four out. 13:24 Hey, that's exciting. 13:25 Now, I'm going to see what's gonna happen next? 13:28 Let's go ahead and stop these balls. 13:29 How many balls do we have? Five! Five. 13:33 Well, if I put all five of those out I wonder 13:36 how many will go other way? Five! Well, let's find out, 13:40 here we go watch this, this is really cool. 13:43 Let's put five in and what comes out 13:46 the other side? Five! All five, 13:48 you know that teaches us something very special. 13:51 For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. 13:55 You know, that works with our lives too. 13:57 If we put junk into our lives you know, 13:59 what gonna get out? That's right, 14:02 we're gonna get junk back out. 14:04 So, we've got to be careful what we put into our minds, 14:06 in our eyes because everything that goes in 14:09 has to come out and I want to guard all of my senses. 14:14 And I'm glad that you're here today with us too. 14:17 And I want you to remember; when we learn about science 14:20 we're learning about Christ, the Creator God. 14:33 Hi, I'm just picking up these sticks for my mother. 14:39 Oh! You don't know my mother. 14:40 She is the woman of Shunem and I'm the prayed for boy. 14:42 Elisha, what she calls me. 14:44 See it was several years before I was born 14:46 that she would watch everyday see as the prophet Elisha 14:50 would come down our road. 14:52 And one day when she was watching 14:53 she saw him coming down the road. 14:55 He looked very tired. And she asked him 14:58 if he wanted to stay and have something to eat and drink. 15:00 But he said that he had to find some place to sleep 15:04 before night fall, so that he couldn't. 15:08 And so when he left, she asked my father, 15:11 do you think that we could build a room 15:13 on the top of our house, so that when the prophet came 15:16 he could sleep there. And my father said, 15:19 yes that we could. And so, they built a room 15:23 and then they put a bed and a table and a stool 15:27 and a candlestick in there 15:29 and then they waited for the prophet. 15:33 And one day when he came, my mother showed him 15:36 the room and he was very happy that they had done that. 15:41 And he asked them, what good kindness 15:43 could I do for you because of what you have done? 15:45 My mother said, you don't have to do anything for us. 15:48 And then, when she, my mother left, 15:54 the prophet asked his servant, what can we do for them 15:58 because of this kindness? And the servant said, 16:02 well I've noticed they don't have any children 16:04 and so, when my mother came back 16:09 he prayed to the, he has told 16:11 my mother I have prayed to the Lord 16:13 and He says that this time next year you will have a son. 16:17 And she was so happy. And so that time next year 16:22 she had a son and it was me. 16:25 And as I got older I would watch for the prophet 16:29 and when I would see him coming I would run to meet him. 16:32 And one day I was old enough to go 16:35 with my father to the harvest fields. 16:36 And when I worked in there, 16:39 I still wasn't old enough yet to cut the weed 16:41 with the sharp sickle, but I was old enough 16:44 to carry the bundles of wheat. And one day it was so hot 16:48 outside and the sun has shone down on my forehead 16:51 and my head started to hurt and I cried my head, my head. 16:55 And that's the last thing that I remember. 16:57 My parents told me this later that my father 17:00 told one of his servants to take me to my mother. 17:05 And so when I went to my mother she sponged 17:09 my head with cold clothes all day, 17:11 but it didn't do any good. And all of a sudden, 17:15 she noticed I had quit breathing. 17:18 You see I had died. And then she took me up 17:22 to the prophet's room and she laid me in his bed 17:26 and she asked my father to give her two meals, 17:29 one for her and one for the servant. 17:31 Then they rode as fast as they could to the prophet's house. 17:34 And she asked him to come back because I had died. 17:38 And he came back and he went up to the room, 17:41 he checked and sure enough I had died. 17:44 And he prayed to God 17:47 and then he breathed into my mouth 17:49 and then all of a sudden I sneezed seven times 17:54 and then I open my eyes and I said, hop. 17:57 And then he asked my mother to come back 17:59 and she was so thankful that he had brought me 18:01 back to life again. 18:03 And then she, but then he said don't thank me, thank God. 18:10 He is the one that brought him back to life. 18:14 And which reminds me, I've got to get these sticks 18:16 onto my mother because the prophets is coming today 18:18 and she has got to make some bread for him 18:21 for us to eat, but before I go always remember 18:25 to be kind to others because kindness always comes back. 18:29 I know that. They came back to our family twice. 18:48 I met Jesus at the Crossroads Where the two ways meet 18:57 Satan too was standing there And he said "Come this way. 19:01 Lots and lots of pleasures I will give to you today" 19:05 But I said NO!! There's Jesus here, 19:10 See what He offers me Down here my sins forgiven, 19:17 Up there a home in heaven 19:19 Praise God, That's the way for me!! 19:23 I met Jesus at the Crossroads Where the two ways meet 19:31 Satan too was standing there And he said "Come this way. 19:36 Lots and lots of pleasures I will give to you today" 19:40 But I said NO!! There's Jesus here, 19:44 See what He offers me Down here my sins forgiven, 19:51 Up there a home in heaven 19:53 Praise God, That's the way for me!! 20:07 I want to thank the Bond family for that beautiful song. 20:09 You know, I know the Bond family personally 20:11 and I love every single one of them. 20:13 And you know what I love most about them, 20:15 is that I know they love Jesus. 20:16 And I have someone with me today that loves Jesus. 20:19 Her name is Kirsten, hi Kirsten. Hi. I love that name. 20:22 You don't find someone with that name very often, 20:24 do you? No. Tell me, what did that you do to share Jesus? 20:28 Well, we help the poor people. You help the poor people. 20:31 That's kind of generic you know. What do you do 20:34 to help the poor people? Well, we go door-to-door 20:37 with an adult and we ask the people 20:41 if they have any nonperishable food items. 20:43 Now, now wait a minute. What is a perishable food item? 20:46 It's something that's like rod or mol or. 20:50 Oh, we don't want anything stinky more than given away, 20:52 do we? No. We don't want to do that. 20:56 So, what do you do now, you collect all these 20:58 nonperishable food items, what do you do? 21:00 Well, we put them in boxes and then we take them 21:03 out to the people that need them the most. 21:05 That makes a lot of sense because you know what, 21:07 that's what Jesus wants us to do, isn't it? 21:08 He wants us to give food to the hungry 21:10 and close to the people that need close. 21:13 So that's a wonderful way to share Jesus. 21:16 Well, you know what? I have some letters here. 21:18 Would you like to hear? Yes. 21:19 I have one here boys and girls from Rebecca 21:22 and it's in Apison, Tennessee. And let's see. 21:24 Oh! I have a picture. Can you hold this up for me? 21:27 Let's see this is... a little Billy Letter here. 21:32 It says dear Ms. Brenda. My name is Rebecca 21:34 and I'm five years old. My sister Elizabeth 21:36 and my brother West and I watch Kids Times every morning. 21:40 I have $15 left on my birthday money 21:43 and children in the Philippines need $20 to buy a goat. 21:47 So this goat will have babies and the children can sell. 21:50 The money they earn will pay there to wishing 21:52 go to a Christian school for one year. 21:54 Isn't that amazing boys and girls 21:56 for one whole year? They will learn about Jesus 21:58 at the school and my money will help with this 22:00 and I'm sending it there. I would like you 22:02 to please send me an activity book, love Rebecca. 22:05 Well, Rebecca, I'd be happy to send you an activity book. 22:07 And I'm so glad you're sending your money 22:09 to help buy a goat because you can see 22:12 all the good that can do. 22:14 Well, isn't this a pretty envelope right here 22:16 boys and girls? See, this is from Shirley to Brenda 22:19 and look at she says Jesus loves us. 22:22 And yes, He does. Isn't that cute? 22:24 I love all these. Some of you 22:25 are getting very creative on your envelopes. 22:26 And envelopes are getting as wonderful 22:29 to see as the letters. And you know what? 22:32 There is a picture in here and boy this little girl 22:34 is having fun. It looks like on a surf board. 22:36 Let's see what Shirley has to say. 22:38 She says dear Ms. Brenda, my name is Shirley, 22:41 and could I please have an activity book? 22:43 Every week I feed the homeless by giving him 22:46 sack lunches to Brenda from Shirley. 22:48 Well, thank you Shirley and you know what, 22:50 feeding the homeless is a wonderful way 22:52 to share Jesus. And I think boys and girls 22:54 some of you are maybe want to do that too. 22:56 Now, I have some more letters, but before I do 22:59 I want to go to Pensacola, Florida and lets listen 23:03 as this little girl tell us how she shares Jesus 23:07 Hi, Ms. Brenda. My name is Maria, 23:10 and I'm from Pensacola, Florida. I had a friend name Julia 23:16 and she's at my school. One time 23:19 and she's having a lot of trouble at her house. 23:24 After school, I wrote a Bible verse 23:27 and the next morning I gave it to her. 23:30 I think it helped her a lot. 23:34 And I think so too, thank you. 23:36 Well, this letter is from Pennsboro, West Virginia 23:39 and it says, dear Ms. Brenda, I like some of the songs 23:42 that are in Kids Time, please send me 23:43 a Kids Time activity book. I share Jesus 23:46 by witnessing to my neighbors. My friends come over to my house 23:49 quite often and we tell them how Jesus wouldn't want to like, 23:53 like us to talking bad language. 23:55 Thank you, so much your friend Mark. 23:57 Mark you know what? That's right. 23:58 It makes Jesus sad whenever we use bad words, 24:00 doesn't He? So, that is a wonderful way 24:03 to witness and I have another one here from 24:05 Kelowna, British Columbia, it looks like. 24:10 And I hope I didn't say that wrong. 24:12 Oh! There is some little things in here, 24:14 let's see what he sent, drew a little picture 24:17 and this here Julia drew a plane and that's a plane 24:20 from Julia that she drew, 24:22 and this one is Daniel drew planes. 24:25 And we got a plane from Daniel and Julia 24:27 and let see what, what they say in their letters. 24:31 It says, dear Ms. Brenda hi, my name is Daniel, 24:33 and I'm four years old, my sister's name 24:36 is Julia and she is 2½. We love watching Kids Time. 24:39 My favorite part is the program 24:41 is Nature Time with Ranger Jim. 24:44 And also Ranger Jim, when he is with Jessie? 24:47 Julia's favorite part is Cooking Time with Kate. 24:50 We share Jesus love by telling kids 24:53 about God's nature. Julia shares God's love 24:55 by being kind for friends. 24:56 Please, send each of us the Kids Time activity book, 24:59 thank you Daniel and Julia. Well, thank you, 25:01 Daniel and Julia, and thank you for those pretty pictures 25:03 you drew too. I'm glad that even 25:05 at your young age you share Jesus. 25:07 And that's very good.
