00:03 It's time to share there's a world out
00:06 there, looking for a friend like Jesus,
00:10 it's time to share there's a world out there.
00:13 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:17 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time.
00:24 Hi, boys and girls.
00:26 How many of you know what this is?
00:28 Now, if you go to school I'm sure you've learned
00:30 that this is a mark of punctuation;
00:33 it's called a question mark.
00:35 Every time you write something down
00:37 and then ask a question, and you end that sentence
00:40 with a question mark likes this.
00:43 Well, maybe a little smaller than this.
00:45 You know, it's a good thing to ask questions isn't it?
00:48 And asking questions helps us to learn things
00:50 we might never know otherwise.
00:53 It's good to be curious and want to learn
00:55 all we can about the world around us.
00:57 About all kinds of subjects like science
01:00 and art and music, I love music and poetry
01:04 and history too and well, you know what?
01:05 The list just goes on and on,
01:08 we can never learn all there is to know
01:10 but the challenge to learn all we can makes life
01:14 pretty exciting doesn't it? Today's Bible story tells
01:17 of a woman, who wanted to learn all kinds of things.
01:20 She was full of questions and to satisfy her
01:23 curiosity she sought out a man, who has been called
01:26 the wisest man whoever lived.
01:29 Now, aren't you curious to know more about this
01:31 woman and that wise, wise man.
01:34 Well, you'll hear all about them in just a
01:36 few minutes, but I want you to remember
01:38 boys and girls that no matter how much we learn,
01:41 if we don't learn about Jesus and learn to know
01:45 Him as our own personal friend.
01:48 We will have missed out on the greatest knowledge
01:50 in the whole universe. Well, right now
01:53 Ranger Jim is going to tell us about
01:55 a very large and powerful animal.
02:06 Hi, boys and girls.
02:07 Ranger Jim saying welcome to Nature Time,
02:08 we're glad you can join us today.
02:10 We are at Lion Country Safari,
02:11 near West Palm Beach Florida
02:13 and these are real creatures,
02:14 aren't they beautiful behind us?
02:16 They are just gorgeous. And the reason we are
02:19 standing where we are, these creatures are wild,
02:21 they can be dangerous,
02:22 so we have to stay near our cars.
02:25 And Sherri works here and she knows all about
02:27 these creatures, Sherri tell us some
02:29 interesting facts about them.
02:30 Well, these are our Southern White Rhinos;
02:32 we have ten of them here at Lion Country.
02:34 I think the first thing you'll notice is that
02:36 they're really not white, the reason that they're
02:38 called White Rhinos, is when they were first
02:40 discovered, they were described as wide mouth,
02:44 then it was wijd mond, which means wide mouth.
02:46 And they translated that when they heard the wijd,
02:50 they assumed that they meant white in color.
02:53 Also with white rhino, the areas that they live in.
02:59 Rhino like to wallow in the mud and roll in the
03:01 sand, the areas that they live in, the sands tends to
03:04 be lighter, then other areas where other rhino
03:07 such as the black rhino where
03:08 the sand tends to be darker.
03:10 So, those are the two reasons that
03:12 they're called white rhino.
03:13 I see, and they enjoy rolling in the mud,
03:15 this protects them from flies or insects and...
03:17 It protects them from bugs and it also protects
03:19 them from the sun. Believe it or not,
03:21 even though it looks like these guys have a really
03:23 rough skin, they can't get sunburn and mud helps
03:26 them to not get the sunburn.
03:28 Now, they have a very wide mouth,
03:29 it's almost like a lawn mower when
03:31 they're feeding, they enjoy.
03:32 Correct and that is so that they can get these
03:34 big mouthfuls of grass when they're grazing.
03:37 And what do you feed them here?
03:39 Here they get hay,
03:41 they occasionally will get alfalfa,
03:42 they also get grain, we give them elephant
03:44 grain however they are more closely
03:46 related to the horse. Now, are these all related...
03:50 No, we have several groups that all related,
03:52 and if you will say that they tend to stay in
03:54 groups, and usually that's a mother and offspring.
03:57 But the mothers are not related,
03:59 so therefore the children are not related.
04:02 And we've had different males in here,
04:04 so we have certain groups that are related,
04:06 we have two or three, usually we have a mother
04:09 and two or three of her offspring and then
04:13 in the three groups. Alright and tell us about
04:15 these babies when they're born,
04:16 this must be a big baby. They're pretty big babies,
04:19 they actually weight about 150,
04:21 possibly 200 pounds when they're born
04:23 and they're nothing about a big head, they look like
04:25 this big head and a little body.
04:28 this big head and a little body.
04:29 When they were born, they don't actually have,
04:30 actually this is our youngest one right here,
04:32 and this is Eliza right here in front of us.
04:36 And you can tell that she is our youngest one
04:37 because if you look at her second horn, the
04:39 one in the back it's very, very little.
04:41 When they're first born, they just have a little nub
04:44 for the front horn and they have got nothing,
04:46 it's just a spot for the back horn.
04:48 As they get older their horns get bigger
04:51 and bigger and they also shape their horns,
04:53 they tend to rub their horns against tress,
04:56 they could rub their horns on the ground.
04:58 And they, and they shape them and that's how
05:00 we identify a rhinohere in Lion Country.
05:03 That's very interesting, boys and girls,
05:05 you may hear automobiles passing or a
05:07 helicopter passing over head because we're right
05:09 out in this park lane, but we won't let bother us.
05:12 Now, tell me about the horn, about the horn,
05:17 why do people poach and kill these creatures?
05:21 Horns can be used, rhino horns are use for
05:24 medicinal purposes and for certain parts of the world.
05:27 One thing that is odd about rhino is their horns
05:30 are not actually horns, when we think of horns
05:32 or antlers on other animals they're usually a
05:35 bony substance. Rhino horns are not made from
05:38 bone, they are actually made from the same
05:39 material as your hair and your finger nails.
05:42 And it's basically just a bunch of hair that's
05:45 growing up and it's really hard and it's all tightly
05:49 knit in there together and then it's get very hard.
05:51 And so we don't have, there is no evidence that
05:54 using this for medicinal purposes has any use at all.
05:57 And boys and girls, it's a terrible thing to think
05:59 that someone would go and shoot some beautiful
06:02 creature like this just to take their horn and then
06:05 rest of the whole body is even wasted.
06:07 Many of these creatures that we've,
06:09 people have had to anesthetize these
06:11 creatures and move them and haul them to a
06:13 protected area. Because in some parts of
06:15 their native lands, poaching is so extreme
06:17 that their population may drop as much as 60,
06:20 70 percent in a 120 year period.
06:24 And so people are doing all that they can to
06:26 preserve these creatures and they
06:27 are such a magnificent creature.
06:29 We simply must do that, wouldn't we.
06:32 How long would these creatures normally live?
06:35 Here in the park how old would they normally be,
06:37 the older ones? They can live to be 40,
06:39 50 years. Forty to fifty years old. Correct.
06:42 Well, that's one, well Sherri,
06:43 thank you so much. Boys and girls,
06:45 I hope you've enjoyed seeing this and we're just
06:48 so thrilled to be here. So, as always Ranger Jim
06:51 telling you don't forget to tell Jesus
06:53 that you love Him, because he really does love you.
07:05 Hello, boys and girls, I'm here with Kiera.
07:08 Hello Kiera. Hello.
07:11 God is God of the universe,
07:13 He is the Lord of the Angels,
07:15 Kiera, can you tell the boys and girls at home,
07:17 who Lord is to you? And He is my Holy Father.
07:22 That's right boys and girls, He made the sun and the
07:25 moon and the stars, He made the mountains.
07:27 But of all the things He is the
07:28 most proud of, He is proud of being
07:31 your Heavenly Father, He is Father of all.
07:42 You are God of the universe
07:45 You are Lord of the angels
07:48 All we have as you've given us
07:51 To worship and serve you O Lord.
07:54 Take our lives, take our lives
07:56 Make us wise, make us wise.

08:16 You are Lord of the angels
08:19 All we have as you've given us
08:22 To worship and serve you O Lord.
08:25 To worship and serve you O Lord.
08:30 You are God of the universe
08:33 You are Lord of the angel
08:35 All we have as you've given us
08:38 To worship and serve you O Lord.
08:41 Take our lives, take our lives
08:44 Make us wise, make us wise.
08:46 Let us walk in the way of understanding
08:49 We look to you, we look to you
08:52 In all we do, in all we do
08:55 You are Father of all
09:00 You are God of the universe
09:03 You are Lord of the angels
09:06 All we have as you've given us
09:09 To worship and serve you O Lord.
09:11 To worship and serve you O Lord.
09:26 Hello, boys and girls. Welcome to Learning Time,
09:29 we've got a special program for you today.
09:31 Hey, have you ever felt an
09:34 experience static electricity,
09:37 have you ever? Yeah.
09:39 How many of you have ever walked across a
09:41 carpeted floor and picked up all kinds of electrons
09:45 and then you touch something like a door
09:47 knob or something and you've got a little shock,
09:50 how many of you have ever have that experience?
09:53 Oh! Me too, today I've got a special machine,
09:56 this machine happens to be called a
09:58 Van der Graaf Generator, it makes all of
10:00 those static charges and it safe.
10:03 So, all we need now is a volunteer.
10:07 Hey, would you like to volunteer,
10:08 would you like to come on up here.
10:10 We've got a volunteer, it helps if they have hair
10:13 and you've got long hair, this is gonna be great.
10:15 I'll tell you what we're gonna do, what's your name?
10:17 Jessica. Jessica, now this is what we're
10:19 going to do to, I mean with Jessica.
10:23 We're gonna have, we put your hand right up here
10:25 Jessica, can you put your hand right there?
10:27 Alright, I'm gonna turn this machine on,
10:29 when I turn the machine on, all of those static
10:31 charges were gonna go right on top of on the
10:34 outside of Jessica's body and her hair is going to
10:37 take all of those electrons. Each one of your hairs
10:41 hopefully, we'll just try to repel each other and her
10:45 hair is gonna stand right up, are you ready?
10:47 Yeah, are you ready Jessica?
10:49 Alright, lets turn this on, we wanna see what happen?
10:53 Jessica, I need for you to shake your head outward,
10:55 shake it outward. Wow, look at that,
11:00 Jessica is having a very bad hair day, isn't she?
11:04 Oh! My, yes, that's incredible, Jessica.
11:08 Now, I'm gonna take and turn this off here we go
11:11 and why don't you go ahead and move your
11:13 hand for us and I want you to watch when she
11:17 steps down watch and see what happens to her hair.
11:21 And it goes back down, excellent give Jessica,
11:25 good hand. Jessica, thank you for helping
11:29 us with that experiment, do you know that static
11:32 electric charges are in the air?
11:35 They're in the sky and when we have a lightning
11:37 storm, have you ever seeing lightening?
11:40 Yeah, oh yeah, it's scary and very dangerous,
11:43 but you know what that lightening is like those
11:46 static electric charges. And they're good for
11:48 planet earth because planet earth gets hit by
11:51 lightening 6000 times per minute, did you know that?
11:56 That's a lot isn't it? But every time that
11:58 lightening hits our atmosphere,
12:00 it gives us something that the earth needs.
12:03 And that is our natural fertilizer that hits planet
12:07 earth; and it gets caught up in our rain.
12:09 That's an interesting thing, you know
12:12 boys and girls when we learn
12:14 more things about science, we're learning something
12:18 new about the Creator God.
12:28 Welcome, welcome to the land of Sheba,
12:32 the land where you'll find the most extravagant
12:34 perfumes and the riches spices
12:37 and of course, the Queen. I've ruled this land for
12:40 quite sometime now and quite well I must add.
12:44 I traded gold and frankincense and myrrh
12:47 to Africa and India and to Mediterranean,
12:51 to ensure the success of my country.
12:54 I always tell my people, good business equals
12:57 good prosperity. And because I am a
12:59 woman of my word. I must do everything
13:02 possible to make Sheba the most that it can be.
13:06 Being Queen is no easy job you know,
13:09 it is my job to make my people happy,
13:11 yet I have to continuously make changes to keep
13:14 business flowing. But one thing that remains
13:18 the same is the stories I've heard of a man named
13:21 Solomon, they tell me that he's been blessed by
13:24 God with the wisdom that is greater than any man
13:27 that ever walked this earth.
13:29 Aha, they even say that at his birth he was named
13:33 Beloved of the Lord, imagine a baby being
13:37 called Beloved of the Lord. My maid servant once
13:42 told me a story about two women, both claiming to
13:45 be the mother of the same baby boy.
13:49 But Solomon said, "Bring me a sword!"
13:53 We'll divide the baby in half, giving each women
13:56 half a baby, then of course the real mother
14:00 feeling compassion for her baby,
14:03 gave up her claim and at that point Solomon knew
14:07 that she was indeed the baby's mother.
14:10 I must admit that was surely a wise plan,
14:14 now since I've never been the one to entertain rumors;
14:17 I decided to go to see for myself.
14:20 So, on a journey I went to see with my own eyes,
14:24 if King Solomon was all that
14:26 the people said that he was.
14:28 And since he was given the wise and
14:30 understanding heart, that maybe he can even
14:32 answer questions for me. And of course I would
14:36 attempt to make trading agreements with him,
14:38 for the prosperity of my country of course.
14:41 So, I ordered for a host of camels, spices,
14:45 gems and four and half tons of gold to be
14:49 delivered to Jerusalem. I knew that a man of his
14:52 wealth couldn't be given just anything.
14:54 He deserved a gift that would appraise a King.
14:57 So, on a journey I went, I traveled 1500 miles to
15:01 Jerusalem to meet King Solomon.
15:03 Fan a little harder. Now, where was I?
15:07 You see, I had a plan; I would challenge him with
15:11 questions that only a man given the gift
15:13 of wisdom from God could answer.
15:15 Surely this would be the true test.
15:18 I asked him question regarding life, wealth,
15:21 love, and even his God. He never once failed to
15:26 answer one question. Truly the hardest question
15:31 that I could ever even think off he answered and
15:34 to my amazement it was true.
15:36 All of the people said about King Solomon
15:39 being the wisest man of all the East,
15:41 and all of Egypt was true, when I asked King Solomon,
15:45 why did that God grand him this wisdom?
15:47 He said to me, Queen, when God made me King,
15:51 I thought that I cannot take on this position
15:54 and do what he expected of me.
15:56 I knew that he was giving me
15:57 a position to rule his people.
15:59 So, I humbly surrendered to him and God said,
16:03 ask, what shall I give you? I couldn't believe what
16:07 I was hearing, all he had to do was ask and his God
16:12 would supply just like that?
16:15 So, he went on to say, I asked the Lord for an
16:18 understanding heart, to judge his people,
16:21 that I can discern between good and evil.
16:24 And having said that, He gave me more wisdom
16:28 than I could ever dream of having and even more
16:30 wealth than ever before. So, I began to think to
16:36 myself, if King Solomon was the wisest man,
16:40 he could answer any question, he was given
16:43 this gift from his God. How much more wisdom
16:48 and power does his God have?
16:51 I mean, to grant him riches, to build a palace
16:55 as beautiful as it is. And so much more favor
16:59 among his people, his God must be the most
17:03 gracious and merciful King that one could ever serve.
17:08 Maybe he is indeed the King of all kings.
17:23 I see you standing, I hear you knocking
17:33 Waiting to come, on in
17:41 I'll open the door, please come into my heart
17:50 I hope you'll be happy here
17:59 My house is your house My heart is your heart
18:08 Please use them as your own
18:17 Jesus You're welcome My house is your house
18:26 Please make this house your home
18:31 Listen to this verse.
18:34 I know you may see some things lying around
18:43 That really shouldn't be there at all
18:51 I'll move them out If you'll move on in
19:00 I want you to feel at home
19:06 We want Jesus in our house don't we?
19:09 My house is your house My heart is your heart
19:18 Please use them as your own
19:27 Jesus, you're welcome My house is your house
19:35 Please make this house Your home
19:41 We sure wanna do that.
19:44 Please make this house Your home.
20:02 Hi boys and girls. I have lots of mails to
20:05 share with you today. And this letter, I just
20:08 opened this from Nevis. And it's from girl called,
20:12 her name is Cara. And it says, dear Miss Brenda,
20:15 my name is Cara and I'm 12 years old and I'm
20:18 living in a beautiful island of Caribbean called Nevis.
20:21 And I have two brothers and it says,
20:24 Levi and Kylan I believe. We are living with our
20:28 mom and dad and we watch Kids Time
20:30 and enjoy it very much. My mom often watches
20:33 your cooking programs with Linda Shelton
20:35 and your sisters. Could you please send me some
20:38 Bible lessons and activity books for me
20:41 and my brothers and we watch you everyday.
20:44 Thanks in advance, love, Cara.
20:46 Well thank you Cara for your letter.
20:48 And she also sent me some information about
20:52 where she lives on Nevis. So, thank you so much.
20:55 Sounds like you do live in a beautiful place
20:58 and look at this envelop. Isn't that gorgeous?
21:01 I actually love the envelop and it says,
21:04 to Brenda from Brandy, and look how she colored
21:06 and decorated that so nicely.
21:09 Let's see what Brandy has to say and oh,
21:13 you know what she sent us a picture too.
21:15 And I will hold that picture right here,
21:17 so you can see it. It says dear Miss Brenda
21:19 my name is Brandy and I live in Savannah, Georgia.
21:22 And every Sabbath my family and I go downtown
21:24 and we feed the homeless. It says we give them a
21:27 sack lunch and also Christian literature to read.
21:32 Will you please send me a Kids Time activity book?
21:34 Love, Brandy. Yes, I will and I'm glad you've
21:37 feeding the homeless, that's a wonderful way to
21:38 share Jesus Brandy. So, yes, I will send
21:40 you an activity book and I wanna encourage you to
21:43 join Kids Club. Well I have,
21:46 I love these big packages you know.
21:48 You don't know what's in something like this,
21:49 well let's take a look and are you curious?
21:52 I'm curious, let's see. Oh it says, here's a
21:57 nice letter, first I'm gonna show you the picture
21:59 and usually I read the letter first but let me
22:01 show you the picture, it says he wilderness and
22:03 the solitary place shall be glad for them;
22:06 and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as
22:09 the rose, Isaiah 35:1, isn't that beautiful.
22:13 Okay. Let's see here, it says, dear Miss Brenda,
22:16 my name is Tiffany and I'm 10 years old and
22:18 I also love to sing. Miss Brenda, could I please
22:21 sing on Kids Time. Well you know lot of kids
22:25 ask to sing on Kids Time Tiffany,
22:27 and boys and girls if you would like to sing I need
22:29 you to send me a video tape of your singing,
22:32 send it here to 3ABN and I will be happy to listen to
22:34 it and if it's something I think
22:36 should be on the program, I will give you a call
22:38 and we'll schedule it okay.
22:40 And it says the way I share Jesus,
22:41 I was helping a man at the Lowe's department store.
22:44 My mom and I were at the cashiers buying supplies.
22:48 And a man was walking out the store pushing two
22:50 carts at the same time. So I ran and asked him
22:52 if I could help him. And he said yes, sure, I could.
22:56 So I happily pushed his cart for him and then ran
22:58 back to where my mother was.
23:00 And it said when we came out of this cart that
23:02 same man was still needing some help
23:04 unloading his supplies. So I ran and helped him
23:07 again and then I gave him a special card with
23:10 scripture on it. I think I shared Jesus, do you.
23:13 Love, Tiffany. Well Tiffany, yes I do think
23:15 you shared Jesus and that was a wonderful thing to do.
23:18 And I think you even send us, yes,
23:21 he sent us the picture and here is Tiffany.
23:24 And thank you Tiffany for sending this photograph,
23:26 you're a beautiful girl. I can just see Jesus
23:28 on your face. And you know boys and girls,
23:31 I love it when I get letters from you,
