00:03 It's time to share, there's a world out there
00:07 looking for a friend like Jesus,
00:10 it's time to share, there's a world out there.
00:13 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:16 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time.
00:24 Hi boys and girls, isn't this a beautiful
00:27 table right here. Its look as if fits
00:29 for a King doesn't it? Well today's Bible
00:33 story does tell us about a King.
00:35 And this King invited someone who was
00:37 supposed to be his enemy to come and eat
00:39 with him at his own table.
00:42 Can you imagine that? But that invitation
00:45 was more than just an invitation to a meal,
00:48 it meant that this person who thought
00:51 the King you know might even try
00:53 to kill him but actually be treated as
00:55 the part of the King's own family with all
00:59 the rights and the privileges of a child
01:01 of a King. You know that
01:04 reminds me of another King,
01:06 that is the King of the universe,
01:07 the King of heaven and the King of all creation.
01:11 You know who I am talking about don't you?
01:14 That is King Jesus. Jesus invites us to
01:17 his table too, in fact in the Bible
01:21 the Book of Luke records the words
01:22 of Jesus as He invites us to eat and to
01:25 drink with Him in His kingdom,
01:28 isn't that exciting? I know I want to be
01:31 at that long table with all that
01:34 wonderful food. And then when I
01:36 look up, I'll see Jesus
01:38 himself sitting right there,
01:41 right next to me smiling at me.
01:44 That's the kind of King we serve isn't He
01:46 wonderful? Let's make sure that we accept
01:50 that invitation from our King Jesus.
01:52 Like the man in our Bible story today,
01:55 we don't really deserve any special
01:57 treatment from our King. But our King Jesus loves
02:00 us and He loves us so much that He
02:04 wants to provide all these wonderful
02:06 things for us. Let's all plan and meet
02:08 with Him in heaven and eat with Him
02:10 at the beautiful banquet table He has
02:13 prepared for us. And now Ranger Jim
02:15 is going to tells about some
02:17 interesting very unusual chicken.
02:28 Hi boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying
02:30 welcome to nature time, we're glad you can
02:31 join us today, we have a very special
02:34 program for you. And this is a chicken,
02:36 and our friend Esther knows something
02:37 about it. Esther, tell us what kind of
02:38 chicken is this? This is a silky.
02:41 And they don't come, and this one is blue
02:44 here but they come in all different colors.
02:46 Some are yellow, black and buff.
02:49 Well that one is a beauty and tell me
02:51 about these, don't look like feathers;
02:52 it looks more like hair, doesn't it?
02:54 Yes, it does but if you, down here it looks just
02:59 you can see that they're actually feathers.
03:01 They are actually feathers and their skin
03:02 is black isn't it? Yes it is a very,
03:05 very, very, beautiful chicken and he has his
03:08 mouth open now and what does it mean
03:10 when a chicken has its mouth open like that?
03:12 It means that he's very hot.
03:14 And he's little uncomfortable we're
03:16 out here in the bright sunshine now,
03:17 and he would like to get in the shade
03:19 and have a drink of water correct?
03:21 What's this appendage here?
03:22 This is his little beard, some don't have the
03:27 beard but this one does. Oh he's going to talk for
03:30 us right on camera wouldn't that be nice?
03:32 What about his feet look at these a very
03:34 unusual feet? Yes, he has five toes,
03:37 most chickens don't. And I see he has some
03:40 feather along here also on that.
03:44 Now I understand this is one of the most
03:46 ancient breeds of chickens that we have.
03:49 Yes, and there, down here see this long.
03:55 Oh look at that. They're supposed
03:58 to be cut off but this one here has long one,
04:02 this one has already been trimmed.
04:04 And so if you just let these grow they
04:06 just continue to grow out,
04:07 there are quite a long ways like that,
04:09 isn't that interesting? And we find in history
04:12 that Marco Polo perhaps had some of
04:14 these chickens that goes back that far?
04:16 Yes. It does. And see this isn't
04:20 one the prettiest chicken that we have
04:22 but it's the most tamed. Alright. Very good.
04:26 So they are a very, very, very
04:29 interesting chicken, and there is something
04:30 else interesting about these chickens.
04:32 These chickens boys and girls,
04:34 the hen loves to sit on the eggs nothing
04:36 makes her happier then to lay eggs.
04:38 In fact it's difficult to collect a large clutch
04:41 of eggs because the mother hen wants
04:43 to sit on those eggs and have babies.
04:45 So when she just has a very few eggs
04:47 she wants to sit on those eggs and hatch
04:49 them and there's nothing you can do
04:51 that will change her mind.
04:52 Now this chicken loves to hatch her eggs
04:55 but we have other fowl such as wild
04:58 turkey and peacock and other peafowl
05:00 and other creatures like that,
05:02 that will go out in the wild and will lay
05:04 one egg and leave it. They lay it in a very
05:06 conspicuous place then they go off and
05:08 they come back in a few days to see
05:09 if a raccoon or a skunk or something has
05:12 found the egg. And if something
05:14 hasn't found the egg and devoured it
05:15 she says ah, this is a safe place
05:17 to lay my eggs and so then she finds
05:20 a place under a shady tree or back
05:22 under an old tree top of some kind
05:24 and she lays her egg. Now she may lay
05:26 15 or 20 or 25 eggs not like the Silky,
05:30 but she lays a large clutch of eggs
05:32 and then hatches them. And the Silky if you
05:35 want to lay eggs and you won't have
05:37 a large clutch of eggs what you have to do
05:39 when she has 3 or 4 eggs in the nest
05:41 you have to go at night and very carefully
05:43 remove them and take an old door knob
05:46 something that's white or something that's
05:47 an imitation egg and put it back,
05:49 and she comes back the next day
05:50 and she says oh there is the only one
05:51 so she will lay 2 or 3 more.
05:53 And if you keep stealing them from
05:54 the nest from her after a given period
05:56 of time you'll have enough for a clutch of
05:58 eggs for her to hatch them.
06:00 You have to sort of fool her that way.
06:01 And so in most chickens of this day
06:04 and time there are bred for their bodies for
06:06 egg production or for consumption of
06:09 their meat. This has been practically bred out,
06:11 they don't have this instinct and so the
06:13 Silky is a perfect example of that
06:15 as you know. Now when you have
06:16 friends to come and visit with you,
06:18 do you feel safe and letting almost
06:19 anyone hold this one? Yes,
06:21 this one is a very, very tamed one,
06:24 not like most chickens some are wild
06:26 and don't let you pick them up.
06:28 This one has the nice colored comb.
06:31 That's beautiful, isn't it?
06:33 And you'll find that this chicken is also so
06:36 gentle that it requires special help
06:38 and protection boys and girls,
06:40 because this chicken does not fly away,
06:42 does not run away it's so gentle and it is
06:45 the most gentle of all the chickens.
06:47 And you must protect it because a dog
06:48 or anything or a cat can come up
06:50 and catch it. Other chickens as
06:51 Esther just described a while they go
06:53 squawking off and fly up on a tree
06:55 and run and get away, but the Silky is more
06:58 susceptible to predators like that so we
07:00 have to be very careful. And we would find
07:02 that this chicken is to of all chickens,
07:04 we feed them and what else is very important
07:06 to the chicken? We have to water them.
07:09 Okay Silky is telling us now,
07:11 you see she's overheating and needs
07:13 water so we are going to close this
07:15 and say boys and girls. Thank you Esther for
07:17 coming today and sharing Silky with us,
07:19 boys and girls Ranger Jim saying,
07:21 don't forget to tell Jesus that you love
07:23 Him because He really does love you.
07:35 Hi boys and girls, I am here with Glesni.
07:39 Hi.. Glesni, what is that thing?
07:44 This is a violin. Oh I love musical instruments,
07:48 you drum on it? No. You blow on it? No.
07:52 What do you do to it? You play it.
08:02 Oh that's beautiful, we're kind of like a
08:05 musical family but more important
08:08 we're like a big family the family of God.
08:15 I'm so glad I'm a part
08:18 of the Family of God,
08:22 I've been washed in the fountain,
08:26 cleansed by His blood!
08:30 Joint heirs with Jesus
08:33 as we travel this sod,
08:36 For I'm part of the family,
08:40 The Family of God.
08:51 You will notice we say "brother
08:54 and sister" round here,
08:58 It's because we're a family
09:01 and these folks are so dear;
09:05 When one has a heartache,
09:09 we all share a tear,
09:12 And rejoice in each
09:14 victory in this family so dear.
09:20 I'm so glad I'm a part
09:24 of the Family of God,
09:28 I've been washed in the fountain,
09:32 cleansed by His blood!
09:35 Joint heirs with Jesus
09:38 as we travel this sod,
09:42 For I'm part of the family,
09:46 The Family of God.
09:56 From the door of the orphanage
09:59 to the house of the King,
10:03 No longer an outcast, a new song I sing;
10:10 From rags unto riches,
10:13 from the weak to the strong,
10:17 I'm not worthy to be here,
10:20 but praise God I belong!
10:25 I'm so glad I'm a part
10:29 of the Family of God,
10:32 I've been washed in the fountain,
10:36 cleansed by His Blood!
10:40 Joint heirs with Jesus
10:43 as we travel this sod,
10:46 For I'm part of the family,
10:50 The Family of God.
11:10 Don't you just love homemade bread?
11:13 Well I've got the best recipe for
11:15 a whole wheat bread, here's the ingredients.
11:20 1 cup warm water 1 teaspoon salt
11:25 1/4th cup of canola oil
11:28 1/4th cup of apple juice concentrate
11:31 1/4th cup of unsweetened apple sauce
11:33 1/4th cup of cooked oatmeal
11:36 1 tablespoon gluten flour
11:39 1 cup whole wheat flour and
11:42 1 tablespoon dry yeast.
11:45 First, we're gonna start with our wet
11:46 ingredients. Go ahead and take the
11:50 apple juice concentrate, pour it in,
11:54 all of our wet ingredients in
11:56 and our not sweetened applesauce,
12:03 pour that out. My Brenda makes this,
12:12 mix this bread all the time.
12:16 Now she's lives right across the street
12:17 from me, so she brings it over hot for us,
12:19 I love to eat it hot, it's delicious.
12:25 Put our oil in and our water, okay,
12:40 and our salt. Mix that up real good,
12:46 mix that all a little bit, here we go.
12:55 Now we're gonna do our dry ingredients.
12:58 And we're gonna take our yeast,
13:01 mix it into this flour, put these in.
13:07 And we're gonna mix the dry ingredients
13:09 up separately so there won't be more
13:10 of something in a certain spot than another,
13:14 mix up the dry ingredients together.
13:18 We'll go head and pour this in, okay.
13:30 Mix that up real good. Okay, mix it up,
13:41 it was just, now it will be
13:45 a little bit of lumpy because of the oatmeal,
13:48 that's okay. And now when you
13:50 add the flour you wanna gonna add
13:53 just enough you wanna keep adding flour
13:57 until it gets real hard to stir and that's
14:03 when you put your hands in there
14:05 and start kneading. That looks like it needs
14:10 another, we added one cup already
14:13 let's put an another one, here we go get
14:20 little fodder here we go, mix that up,
14:27 oops a little bit on me, alright.
14:36 You keep mixing and that's more flour,
14:41 it's still a little bit too sticky let's put my
14:45 hands kneading it and keep mixing until it's
14:49 getting harder to stir. Alright, I think I
14:57 need start kneading out, so just get your hands
15:01 in that, this is the fun part.
15:03 Stick your hands in, oops little sticky
15:05 and you know little bit more flour.
15:09 Put some flour in and you wanna get it
15:13 all in and then, then you start kneading.
15:21 It's little sticky, its sticking all of my hands.
15:26 Some more in. It depends on your
15:29 dough to how much flour you'll put in.
15:32 You never really know it's different almost
15:34 every time. Just keep adding
15:36 flour until it looks till it's not sticking
15:41 and it's a little bit firm and not sticky.
15:50 And now that I've kneaded it for about
15:51 10 minutes, it's about ready.
15:53 And how you know it's done is if you
15:55 press with your fingers it will come back up,
15:59 you know kind of spring back up
16:00 and I will tell you really know it's done.
16:02 When you finish, and when you finish
16:04 kneading it you want to take it out
16:05 or you want to take it out and put it in
16:07 a warmer place and put a towel over it,
16:09 and let it rise till it's about double
16:11 on it's size. And then you wanna
16:14 punch it down and that's the funniest
16:17 part is to punch it. After you punch it
16:20 you wanna take it and form it into a loaf
16:24 and put it in your pan, but remember to spray
16:28 your pan because it's real bad,
16:30 if you don't, you won't be able
16:31 to get your bread out. So don't forget
16:32 to spray your pan. You put it in, make it a
16:35 loaf and put it in the pan.
16:37 And then you're gonna rise until it comes
16:40 above over the pan like this,
16:42 just little bit over the sides and then bake
16:47 it at 350 for about 30 minutes or until it's
16:51 brown on the top and then it looks like this.
16:54 Hmm, I love the smell of fresh bread,
16:58 I'm gonna taste it right now.
17:01 Now I'm gonna cut a slice for you,
17:03 so you can see how nice and moist this is,
17:07 here we go, see it is moist. Another one,
17:16 try it, looks delicious and it is delicious.
17:34 Well, until next time,
17:36 keep cooking and eat healthy.
17:46 Hello kids, do you know David?
17:48 I love serving my mighty and great King David.
17:52 My name is Benaiah, I am one of his servants.
17:55 King David is truly God's man,
17:58 before David was King, Saul ruled over Israel.
18:01 And he hated David, he tried to kill him
18:03 several times, so everyone chasing
18:05 him because of that David had to hide for
18:08 a long time and wasn't able to settle down.
18:11 Hey, have you heard the latest story that
18:12 happened in the palace? One day King David
18:15 was sitting on the thrown and remembering
18:17 good times that he had with his best
18:19 friend Jonathan. He remembered how
18:21 they played together, how they went hunting
18:23 together, how they shared their secrets
18:26 and dreams with each other.
18:28 He was sad that Jonathan was dead now
18:31 and he was killed in the battle with Philistines.
18:34 He wished that he was still be alive.
18:36 And then he got an idea. He asked if there
18:39 was any one alive from the Saul's family
18:41 someone suggested that Ziba might know.
18:43 So David send me to go and get Ziba.
18:46 I ran as fast as I could and brought Ziba
18:48 in front of the King. Ziba knelt down
18:50 in front of the King and David said,
18:52 do you know there's anyone alive from
18:54 the Saul's family that I may show kindness
18:56 to them. Ziba said that there's Jonathan's
18:59 son still alive and he's crippled on both feet.
19:04 Jonathan's son is still alive!
19:06 David said excitedly, where is he?
19:09 He is in the town of Lodebar.
19:11 David send me immediately to go and get him.
19:14 I took one of his chariots and drove
19:17 to the town. It's just a small and filthy
19:19 town to live in. He said, drove about to the house
19:22 and found out that it is a small house,
19:25 certainly not where the son of a prince
19:26 should live. I ran in and found
19:29 poor Mephibosheth sitting on the bed,
19:31 with both his legs crippled.
19:33 I felt sorry for him but when I said that
19:36 David wants to see him, his face turned white
19:38 as snow. He was scared for his life,
19:42 he said David is gonna kill him, you see.
19:45 By the rulers of Israel he was supposed
19:47 to become next King of Israel because he
19:51 was the grandson of previous King Saul.
19:55 So he thought that David wants to get
19:57 rid of him, in order to protect his throne.
20:00 Also he remembered how rude and
20:01 unjust his grandfather was to David.
20:05 I tried to convince him that David is not
20:07 gonna hurt him but he didn't believe me
20:10 and scared because it was King's order,
20:12 there's nothing he could do he slowly
20:15 started making his way to the chariot.
20:17 I helped him up and on we went to the castle,
20:21 this way we appeared before the King,
20:23 poor Mephibosheth was scared for his life,
20:25 he fell on his face and he was begging
20:27 for mercy. But he should not have been
20:30 scared because David was kind and
20:33 compassionate towards Mephibosheth.
20:36 He's your servant said Mephibosheth,
20:39 do not be afraid for I'll surely show
20:41 kindness to you for your father's
20:44 sake Jonathan. And I'll restore all
20:46 the land of Saul your grandfather to you.
20:50 And you'll always eat at my table.
20:55 David was so close to God that he
20:57 wanted to show kindness to him.
20:59 And then he talked to Ziba also
21:01 and he said that Ziba and all his
21:03 servants and all his sons will serve
21:05 Mephibosheth now and work on his fields
21:08 and eat from his harvest but Mephibosheth
21:11 will always sit at the King's table.
21:14 Because David was so close to God
21:16 he wants to show kindness to them and
21:19 to not revenge towards Saul.
21:21 And he showed real kindness and pity
21:23 to Mephibosheth. Well, I want to go to
21:26 the palace because I don't want to
21:28 miss anything that God will do through David.
21:32 And may kindness of God be always
21:34 with you. Hey, do you want to go
21:36 with me and see what God will do
21:37 through David? Let's go.
21:52 Jesus loves me! This I know,
21:56 For the Bible tells me so;
21:59 Little ones to Him belong,
22:03 They are weak but He is strong.
22:06 Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
22:13 Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
22:20 Jesus loves me! This I know,
22:24 For the Bible tells me so;
22:27 Little ones to Him belong,
22:31 They are weak but He is strong.
22:35 Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
22:42 Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
22:59 Thank you Haleigh for that song,
23:00 you know that is my grandson Michael's
23:02 favorite song. Well boys and girls,
23:05 I want to read to you a letter,
23:07 I've got lots of mail today.

23:48 a little picture too let's see,
23:52 oh she colored a little and drew me
23:54 a little picture of animals.

25:40 Well let's see what Tiffany says
25:42 from Jamaica. And that she says,
25:46 dear Miss Brenda, and my name is
25:48 Tiffany and I love to watch Kids Time
25:50 and 3ABN. On Kids Time, I love to watch
25:52 Sharing Time when you read the letters
25:55 I share Jesus when I was at school.
25:57 I bought something and the lady gave me
25:59 more change than I gave her and I told
26:01 her that and she said that was nice
26:04 to me because if some of the other children
26:06 would have taken it and not given it back,
26:10 I know that Jesus is pleased with that.
26:13 Please could you send me a Kids Time
26:14 book and I would like to join Kids club.
26:17 Well thank you so much Tiffany
26:19 and you know I'm proud of you for not
26:21 keeping that money and giving it back,
26:23 you did the right thing. Boys and girls,
26:25 remember it's Kids Time to share Jesus.
