00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there
00:07 looking for a friend like Jesus,
00:10 it's time to share there's a world out there.
00:13 Lets tell them that He loves us so.
00:17 Lets tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time.
00:25 Hi boys and girls, how would you like to come
00:26 and sit with me in one of these chairs here.
00:30 I'd love to have you; I think this small old wooden
00:33 chair would hold you pretty good, don't you.
00:36 Oh you think you'd rather sit in this nice,
00:38 big, soft, comfy chair? Well I guess I can't
00:43 really blame you. I like to be comfortable too,
00:46 but what if another child came with you and
00:49 wanted to sit here with me. Would you still choose
00:51 the big nice soft comfortable chair or
00:55 would you offer it to the other boy and girl.
00:58 You know its human nature to want the best
01:00 of things, even tiny children almost as soon as
01:04 they can talk will yell mine or me first,
01:08 but although it's human nature,
01:10 it's not God's nature and he wants us to be like him.
01:14 Do you know that Jesus said the first shall be last,
01:18 that means that he will honor those who are
01:21 unselfish, willing to let others go first and
01:23 give them the best of things.
01:25 Today's Bible story tells us about some people
01:29 who needed to learn that lesson of letting
01:30 others go first. You're going to enjoy this
01:33 story I know, but first Ranger Jim
01:36 is going to tell us about some goats.
01:47 Hi boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying welcome
01:48 to Nature Time. Look what we have today,
01:50 two special friends, and our friend Bonnie
01:52 is going to tells us about. What are these Bonnie?
01:54 Well I have two pet goats. This pet goat is fainting
01:57 goat and this goat's name is Otis,
02:00 and this is Comet. There you go, a fainting goat,
02:03 a fainting goat. What happens?
02:06 If Otis get frightened, if you would sneak up
02:08 on Otis, Otis would suddenly become startled,
02:11 Otis will faint. Just faint, fall over.
02:14 Most likely Otis will faint and fall over,
02:17 although it's possible sometimes their legs just
02:19 kind of get really stiff and she just stands there
02:21 really stiff, and she doesn't move.
02:23 Well we used to have a friend of mine in school
02:25 and if you startled her, I don't think she didn't
02:27 just faint, she would screa and just stand there,
02:30 just like she was petrified and so probably
02:32 is the same motion and this is just a plane
02:34 common ordinary goat. Yeah, that's just
02:37 a pet goat and he is a friendly,
02:39 now she is a friendly nice goat,
02:41 a beautiful goat and so I'm really interested,
02:43 this is a special breed of goat then, that's right.
02:47 A special breed of goat and the goats of that
02:50 breed will exhibit that kind of pressure when
02:54 they're frightened, that's amazing to me,
02:56 I've seen one and sometimes perhaps
02:59 in the future I can see a fainting goat.
03:01 Well tell me about this you have these goat,
03:04 it's really like a petting zoo here,
03:06 you have many boys and girls come.
03:08 We do, you have quite a few people,
03:09 lots of boys and girls come and visit our farm
03:11 especially in the fall. You have them schools
03:14 groups and things like that they come, they do.
03:15 And so these goats are recognized by many
03:17 different boys and girls and what have you. Tell me
03:19 about this in eating, do these creatures
03:22 have to have special food or what have you,
03:24 anything like that? Goats do actually eat anything;
03:27 they're not picky eaters at all. But it's important
03:30 when you have pets that they have healthy
03:32 diet and so we give them hay,
03:35 they have special grain mixture that we give them,
03:39 and then they like to eat grass but they're not
03:41 picky they will eat almost anything.
03:44 And I have friend who had lot of honeysuckle
03:46 and birds and all kind of stuff in a plot behind
03:49 his barn that he had just purchased and
03:51 he asked a friend about using herbicides
03:53 and what have you like that to take care?
03:54 But he said no, just go to your neighbor
03:56 he has five goats and talk to him put a fence
03:58 around it, you put a fence around it, that's right,
04:00 and a month later it was as clean as a whistle,
04:03 and so boys and girls while we have someone
04:05 who knows about goats I am going to ask you
04:08 and once in for all settle this old story that
04:10 you have heard that goats eat tin cans
04:12 is that true? Well the goat would chew on
04:15 the tin cans, they don't actually eat the tin cans
04:18 but if there is paper in the tin cans they probably
04:20 eat the paper but they won't actually eat it
04:23 and try to digest it. Well he will eat the paper
04:25 book might let go on the glue like
04:26 he's trying eating, they would, leaves or anything
04:28 of that nature. Well what about protection
04:30 in the winter time, they have a very thin coated
04:33 filled, do they knee protection.
04:34 Yes, well first of all you have to remember
04:36 that goats don't put on a winter coat like you
04:38 and I do when it gets cold, so there are gonna
04:40 have heavy coat of fur that they will grow when
04:42 they weather in our area gets real cold.
04:45 Also we will put them in the barn,
04:48 the barn has straw, it has protection and the
04:51 straw is like their blanket you know how we
04:53 warm up in the night with the blanket,
04:55 well the goats snuggle in the straw.
04:57 Very good and they're out of the wind and
04:59 the snow and weather, and what have you,
05:00 and they do very well. Do they require any
05:03 special veterinarian care or anything like that.
05:05 Well you know just like any animal they can get
05:07 sick but most of the time they're very healthy
05:11 and very easy to care for. Well they make wonderful
05:14 pets then? They do, they're fun.
05:17 I am sure we have many of the boys and girls
05:18 that watch story time or the Kids Time all the time
05:22 that have pets that are goats and things like
05:23 that and someone have asked me in the past,
05:26 we have shown animals that quite often that
05:28 you might see in the zoo and what have you
05:30 and several other of them had asked me when
05:32 are you going to show some animals like we
05:33 have chickens and rabbits and goats and stuff
05:35 like that, so this is a wonderful opportunity
05:37 today that we have these two. Let me ask you
05:40 about this horns are natural for that,
05:42 this is normally you would find that in this goat,
05:44 this is just a different species, that's right,
05:45 the goat that doesn't have it and what about this,
05:48 we have a lady that has whiskers.
05:50 It appears that way, that is true this goat
05:52 has whiskers, and it's a nanny goat,
05:54 it's the mommy's goat, its not the belly that
05:56 normally would have whiskers that
05:57 I have always thought and so this is a wonderful
06:00 time and opportunity we've had come this afternoon
06:03 and see these goats. So maybe boys and girls,
06:04 you have learned something about the goats
06:06 as I have learned this afternoon.
06:08 So Ranger Jim telling you as always,
06:11 don't forgot to tell Jesus that you love him
06:14 because he really does love you.
06:24 I am a boy. Hi boys and girls,
06:29 I'm here with Crystal Ann and Crystal Ann
06:31 what's our next song. The Gospel train is coming.
06:35 But what does that mean. It means that Jesus
06:37 is coming. And where is he gonna take us. To heaven.
06:42 Oh boys and girls Jesus is
06:44 coming soon and I wanna be ready. The
06:54 Gospel train's a'comin' I hear it just ahead
06:58 I hear the car wheel rumblin'

07:36 No second class aboard this train
07:38 No difference in the fare
07:40 Get on board little children
07:42 Get on board little children
07:43 Get on board little children
07:45 There's room for many more
07:51 We're going to a mansion on the Happy Day Express;
07:54 The letters on the engine are J-E-S-U-S;
07:59 The guard calls, "All for Heaven?"
08:00 We gladly answer, "Yes!"
08:03 We're going to a mansion on the Happy Day Express
08:06 Get on board little children
08:08 Get on board little children
08:10 Get on board little children
08:12 There's room for many more
08:14 Get on board little children
08:16 Get on board little children
08:18 Get on board little children
08:20 There's room for many more, Get on board.
08:34 Hi today we're gonna make the pecan cookies.
08:36 Now usually you think that cookies are bad
08:38 for you but actually these are really good for you.
08:41 Now I am gonna read the recipe for you.
08:45 1 cup pecans, 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
08:51 1 cup rice flour 1/4 tsp. salt
08:56 2 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
09:02 ½ cup pure maple syrup 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
09:09 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract, and then
09:12 pecan halves for garnish
09:15 And when you start you're gonna wanna
09:17 heat oven to 350 with adults help.
09:21 And also before you start I have already done this,
09:25 pre-done this but you wanna toast your
09:28 pecans either you can do it with several ways,
09:31 you can put it do in the oven, or you can do it
09:33 on the stove or I've done this in the microwave
09:37 usually it takes about 6 minutes but you want
09:39 to stir every two minutes. Then take the pecans
09:45 and dump them in the blender,
09:51 you wanna ground them, or you can either use
09:54 a blender, use a blender or food processor.
09:59 You're gonna start blending these until
10:03 they're small. Okay that's just about the right
10:09 consistency and we wanna now add our one cup
10:15 and this are old fashioned oats,
10:17 you don't wanna used, these are not quick oats,
10:19 you don't wanna use regular quick oats,
10:21 these are old fashioned rolled oats,
10:24 we gonna put this in. Now I'm gonna add our
10:32 one cup of rice flour, 1/4 tsp. salt,
10:50 2 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg.
11:01 You wanna blend this up in the blender until
11:03 it's all mixed up, you have the right consistency in.
11:20 You might have to be keep blending this
11:22 for a little while after or maybe stop and start
11:24 the blender and stir it up with the spoon
11:25 to get it all mixed together.
11:28 When you finish blending, we're gonna take this off,
11:36 and put it into the bowl. You scrape it out
11:43 with the spatula or something to get all out.
11:53 You get it all out, and make, make a well
12:02 or make a hole in the center where
12:07 you're gonna add your wet ingredients or your,
12:12 well let me place to the side first.
12:26 Now we're gonna take our wet ingredients,
12:33 our maple syrup and pour into the center
12:37 the hole with the welled, our maple syrup,
12:43 and our vegetable oil, our vanilla extract,
12:53 mix that all up. Now these cookies make may
12:58 freeze great, so you can freeze them and eat
13:04 them later after awhile after you make them,
13:06 you freeze them. They're delicious,
13:10 mix this up really good and mix it.
13:21 When you mix it up, after you mix it up
13:25 you wanna get your pan over here and move
13:34 all this out of the way and get your pan and
13:40 always spray it with something,
13:43 either you can put some, you can brush it
13:52 with oil or you can use baking spray like
13:56 I am using. And then you want to take this
14:03 and just get spoon fulls of it and you don't even
14:07 need to be exact or anything,
14:09 I am just kind of move this and just kind
14:12 of pop them down to several,
14:29 and when you have got some done, garnish them.
14:33 You take your pecan halves.
14:40 Take your pecan halves right here and
14:42 you want take them and press them into
14:45 the center but you don't want to press too hard
14:48 or else they won't be in the cookie at the bottom
14:49 they'll burn, you can stick them right down
14:53 in the middle like that, and well we have our
15:06 sample, the finished product here,
15:08 this what they look like, they're baked,
15:10 you wanna bake them at 350 for up to 10 minutes
15:15 and you can just keep checking them because
15:16 they could be done sooner then that but
15:20 that'll probably be just about 10 minutes,
15:24 that's all there is to it. Remember
15:26 to keep cooking and eat healthy.
15:37 Greeting children, how nice to run into you today?
15:41 I am on my way to market.
15:43 I'm James and John's mom, the sons of Zebedee
15:47 and you know something happened interesting
15:49 on the road yesterday. I was walking along and
15:53 all of a sudden I heard thunder overhead,
15:56 and it reminded me that my sons were known
16:00 as the sons of thunder. Not always the compliment,
16:05 they were sometimes impatient,
16:07 some times they look down at others,
16:10 they didn't wanna have to deal with the people
16:12 that didn't understand what Jesus their master
16:14 was doing. But Jesus wanted to teach them.
16:18 He wanted them to become tenderhearted like he.
16:22 He wanted them to understand that he had
16:24 come to this world to do something special
16:26 for people and part of it was to lift them up
16:30 to encourage them. They were learning that
16:33 day by day, but you know one day I thought
16:38 I want my sons to be first in the kingdom of heaven,
16:42 so I went to Jesus and I said Lord,
16:45 could it be that my sons would sit by your side,
16:48 one on your right, and one on your left and
16:52 Jesus looked at me and he says you don't know
16:54 what you're asking. Can they be baptized
16:58 by the same baptism that I will be baptized
17:02 and do you know my sons said yes we can Lord.
17:05 They didn't know what he was speaking of,
17:08 Jesus was going to suffer great loss but they
17:11 didn't know and so they said Lord yes we can.
17:16 And Jesus said indeed you will go through
17:18 those things with me. But to sit on my right
17:21 or to sit on my left is not for me to decide
17:25 but my father who is in heaven and then
17:28 he said I came to serve, not to be served.
17:35 Jesus said those who want to be great
17:37 in the kingdom of heaven must be small,
17:40 they must be humble of heart.
17:43 They must think more of others than
17:44 do of themselves. They must be the kind
17:47 of people that give up themselves to others
17:50 because they love me and because they learned
17:52 to walk humbly with me. We've learned a lot
17:56 of things from Jesus, he has to do a lot of
17:59 work on our hearts, sometime to smooth out
18:02 all those rough places, but he does that work
18:06 well for you and me all the time that's what
18:09 he is all about coming into our heart,
18:11 into our lives, into our minds,
18:14 so that we think different,
18:15 and we act different then we used to before.
18:18 The things that were hard before now become
18:20 more easy because he is there to help us,
18:23 to strengthen us, to make it possible.
18:26 You ought to see my sons now,
18:29 they smile at people, they're patient.
18:31 They do the work of spreading the gospel
18:33 for the Lord, and I'm so proud of them,
18:36 my sons of thunder in a different way now.
18:39 For I know that God has transformed them
18:42 through the life of Jesus. Well children,
18:45 I want to stay longer and talk with you
18:48 but I've got to go to market and fill up
18:49 this basket. I hope you have a wonderful day
18:53 and I hope you remember to let Jesus into your
18:57 heart, so he will change it too,
18:58 just as he has each of us.
19:01 Have fun, have a good day.
19:27 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God;
19:37 and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.
19:43 He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.
19:50 So beloved, let us love one another. Beloved,
20:10 let us love one another, for love is of God; and
20:20 everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.
20:26 He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.
20:33 So beloved, let us love one another.
20:41 He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.
20:48 So beloved, let us love one another.
20:55 Let us love one another. Let us love one another.
21:03 Let us love one another. I love you. I love you too.
21:20 Thank you to the Bond family for that
21:21 beautiful song, I really appreciate it.
21:24 Boys and girls, I want you to meet a special person,
21:27 his name is David. David, thank you for
21:28 coming to Sharing Time. Thanks for having me here.
21:30 Well, I'm glad you could come,
21:32 what do you do to share Jesus?
21:34 Well, I live in Michigan and in the winter
21:36 it gets really, really cold and its all snow.
21:39 It sure does, I was born there,
21:40 so I can tell you, there are some cold days
21:43 up there. Yes, and what we do is all the
21:46 area churches were in the area that I live in,
21:49 they come to the, they have a gathering
21:53 at the Civic Center which is like a big
21:54 gymnasium, right. And they take things like clothes,
21:58 food, toys and stuff for the poor families
22:02 around the area that can't afford to buy them
22:05 for their family. Right oh that's wonderful.
22:07 Now what kind of work do you actually
22:09 do yourself? Well what I do is I go around
22:12 and ask people if I can carry their bags
22:14 for them and I just carry their bags from
22:16 place to place and help them take it to their cars
22:19 and show them around and stuff.
22:21 Oh that's wonder, have you had any
22:23 special experiences that stand out in your mind.
22:26 Yes, there was one time when
22:29 I asked this lady if I can carry her bags
22:31 and she said yes and she was very thankful
22:34 for me doing that. And I helped her
22:36 carry her bags around and when we got to
22:38 the cars she want to give me money but
22:40 I said no and she asked if there is anything
22:43 that she could do for me, and I said the only
22:46 thing that there was, was to have a prayer
22:48 with her, and I had a prayer with her and
22:51 when we got done there is just tears going
22:55 down her eyes and she was really thankful
22:57 because she has just told me that she had
22:59 arthritis and she couldn't carry her bags,
23:02 so it was really hard for her.
23:04 I bet you really touched her heart because
23:06 there is probably a lot of boys and girls
23:07 that you know just walked right out and
23:10 said you know I got other things to do but
23:12 you took time with her and you really show
23:14 the God's love, you received a wonderful
23:17 blessing yourself didn't you. Yes I did. Awesome,
23:20 isn't that wonderful boys and girls,
23:22 and that is the way, so we share Jesus
23:23 we get the best blessing ourselves,
23:25 we really do. Well, I'm gonna share some
23:28 letter with you and some of the mail that
23:31 I have been receiving, I can't tell you enough
23:33 how much I love hearing from you,
23:35 and this letter is from Guyana,
23:38 and it's says, dear Miss Brenda,
23:40 I was checking the channels,
23:42 and I was lucky enough to see the letter part
23:44 of your program, I love it. I have two sisters
23:48 they are 6 and 3 years old, please send them
23:51 a Kids Time book. Thank you for your program,
23:53 Michelle. Well Michelle, thank you so much
23:55 for writing, and I'm glad you were clicking those
23:57 channels and you happen to watch Kids Time
24:01 and won't you share Jesus with someone today.
24:04 This letter is from Bremen,
24:05 Georgia and lets see who this is from,
24:10 I like these packages too,
24:11 just don't know what's we are gonna get
24:12 inside here, there is a lots of stuff in here too.
24:14 Oh my, okay and some dollar bill and this one
24:20 it's say dear Miss Brenda I love Kids Time,
24:22 and I love Cooking Time and music the best.
24:25 I was wondering if I could have a book
24:28 and I share Jesus by sharing my toys with
24:29 my two sisters love, Navita. And Navita,
24:34 thank you so much for that letter and she drew
24:38 a picture here, it's a pretty picture and
24:40 oh you know what can you hold this up.
24:43 She's got a picture of herself in there,
24:48 isn't that nice with her two sisters.
24:50 Thank you so much for that, and I'll take that for you.
24:54 And lets see, we got another letter here from
24:56 Brooklyn, Oregon and why don't you hold this up,
25:01 this is cute, she made us something for Kids Time,
25:03 that nice. She says dear Miss Brenda,
25:06 my name is Grant, I'm five and half,
25:08 my little sister's Hope, she is one and half.
25:12 We have been enjoying Kids Time together
25:13 for about one week. We watch it while our
25:15 big brother Joshua who is 12 and half and
25:18 a big sister Hannah 10 are in school.
25:21 My favorite part is Kids Time, is the Cooking,
25:22 the Nature and the Play Times. We would really
25:25 enjoy more programs like yours.
25:27 Would you please send us activity books and
25:29 we share Jesus with our neighbors,
25:31 by giving them vegetables, pictures that I make
25:34 and baked curries and for sometimes
25:37 I would like to get a violin and play songs
25:39 for my grandpa Smithy and grandpa Bolen.
