It's time to share there's a world out 00:00:03.55\00:00:06.34 there, looking for a friend like Jesus, 00:00:06.35\00:00:10.00 it's time to share there's a world 00:00:10.01\00:00:12.87 out there. Let's tell them that 00:00:12.88\00:00:14.99 He loves us so. Let's tell them 00:00:15.00\00:00:18.14 that He loves us so. Kids 00:00:18.15\00:00:21.01 Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:00:21.02\00:00:25.32 Hi, boys and girls, I'm seeing 00:00:25.33\00:00:27.02 red today, maybe I should take off 00:00:27.03\00:00:29.70 this glasses don't you think? 00:00:29.71\00:00:31.20 That's much better, now I can see 00:00:31.21\00:00:33.10 normally I don't like seeing red very much. 00:00:33.11\00:00:35.87 By the way have you ever heard that 00:00:37.05\00:00:38.39 expression before, boy he saw red 00:00:38.40\00:00:40.99 or she just saw red, if so you know 00:00:41.00\00:00:45.64 that expression means that someone 00:00:45.65\00:00:47.44 was very angry. Well, today's Bible 00:00:47.45\00:00:50.95 story tells the story of a woman 00:00:50.96\00:00:52.82 who saw red for a little while, 00:00:52.83\00:00:54.27 she was angry and she was angry 00:00:54.28\00:00:57.72 with God's servant and even just a 00:00:57.73\00:01:00.26 little bit angry with God. But do you know 00:01:00.27\00:01:02.70 what? God understands when we're 00:01:02.71\00:01:05.31 angry and he's big enough to take 00:01:05.32\00:01:07.34 all of our bad thoughts and our 00:01:07.35\00:01:09.36 feelings without turning against us 00:01:09.37\00:01:11.37 or getting upset with us. 00:01:11.38\00:01:12.70 When we're angry and even if we 00:01:12.71\00:01:15.81 might be angry at God he is patient 00:01:15.82\00:01:18.52 and loving he even encourages us 00:01:18.53\00:01:20.96 to let out all of our feelings when 00:01:20.97\00:01:23.68 we talk to him. Now, you might 00:01:23.69\00:01:26.02 ask how do we talk to God, 00:01:26.03\00:01:28.42 well it's really quite simple even though 00:01:28.43\00:01:31.59 the Bible doesn't tell us that we have 00:01:31.60\00:01:33.58 to close our eyes when we pray or 00:01:33.59\00:01:35.38 we talk to God. It is a good idea to do that, 00:01:35.39\00:01:38.46 because sometimes you know we might 00:01:39.65\00:01:41.84 see the things that all around us that 00:01:41.85\00:01:43.86 might take our minds off of what we 00:01:43.87\00:01:45.75 want to talk to God about. And then you 00:01:45.76\00:01:48.41 just talk and talk out loud or maybe in a 00:01:48.42\00:01:51.83 whisper or you can even just talk 00:01:51.84\00:01:55.24 in your thoughts in your head, because 00:01:55.25\00:01:57.21 Jesus can read your thoughts, did you 00:01:57.22\00:01:59.30 know that? He can and you talk just the 00:01:59.31\00:02:02.20 way you would to your best friend 00:02:02.21\00:02:03.62 if your best friend was just sitting right 00:02:03.63\00:02:05.16 beside you. And if you're angry tell 00:02:05.17\00:02:09.08 him about it and tell him why? You will be 00:02:09.09\00:02:12.39 surprised at just how quickly you 00:02:12.40\00:02:15.37 might get over all those bad feelings. 00:02:15.38\00:02:17.89 You know, it's not a sin to be angry but 00:02:17.90\00:02:23.11 it is a sin to hold on to that anger or to 00:02:23.12\00:02:26.89 try to hurt someone when you're angry. 00:02:26.90\00:02:28.54 And if you've ever, ever been angry at God, 00:02:30.27\00:02:32.57 thinking he hasn't treated you fairly. 00:02:32.58\00:02:34.81 Tell him about it, then listen, I want to listen 00:02:34.82\00:02:38.14 hard, don't be in a hurry. 00:02:38.15\00:02:40.11 You'll be amazed at how God will talk 00:02:40.12\00:02:43.12 to you by putting brand new thoughts 00:02:43.13\00:02:45.00 and feeling into your mind. 00:02:45.01\00:02:46.50 The woman in our Bible story today 00:02:46.51\00:02:49.23 she did get over being angry, just wait 00:02:49.24\00:02:52.99 until you hear about what God did for her. 00:02:53.00\00:02:55.31 But first, Ranger Jim is going to tell 00:02:55.32\00:02:58.10 us about a really big animal and 00:02:58.11\00:03:00.34 I wouldn't wanna make 00:03:00.35\00:03:01.46 him angry, it's a bison. 00:03:01.47\00:03:04.08 Hi, boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying, 00:03:11.73\00:03:13.23 welcome to Nature Time. We have 00:03:13.24\00:03:15.09 something very special today; 00:03:15.10\00:03:16.52 we have some beautiful bison for 00:03:16.53\00:03:18.09 you to see. These are running animals, 00:03:18.10\00:03:20.36 they may go running in front of 00:03:20.37\00:03:21.34 the camera, they maybe just 00:03:21.35\00:03:22.55 standing around, but running is something 00:03:22.56\00:03:24.28 that bison love to do. In fact bison 00:03:24.29\00:03:26.86 can run at 35 miles an hour and 00:03:26.87\00:03:29.36 they have been known to run 35 miles 00:03:29.37\00:03:31.43 an hour for up to 5 miles in a stampede. 00:03:31.44\00:03:34.95 And these creatures lived on the Prairie 00:03:34.96\00:03:37.26 and that was a common practice in those 00:03:37.27\00:03:39.42 days when they were frightened by lighting 00:03:39.43\00:03:41.40 or something else would happen and 00:03:41.41\00:03:42.97 you could feel the group shake when 00:03:42.98\00:03:45.02 millions, sometimes in one herd they 00:03:45.03\00:03:47.34 would be as much as 40, 50 thousand. 00:03:47.35\00:03:49.17 But when millions of these creatures 00:03:49.18\00:03:51.01 occupied the plains of the Western United 00:03:51.02\00:03:53.34 States all the way far as East as into Georgia 00:03:53.35\00:03:56.50 and so these are a wonderful creatures, 00:03:56.51\00:03:58.48 it's the first time we've had an 00:03:58.49\00:03:59.61 opportunity to be here. And so our friend 00:03:59.62\00:04:01.78 is John with us and so John owns these. 00:04:01.79\00:04:04.45 John, could you tell us anything about 00:04:04.46\00:04:05.73 theses creatures, do they eat hay? 00:04:05.74\00:04:07.11 What do they eat? I feed them hay 00:04:07.12\00:04:09.20 and I grain them too and they just 00:04:09.21\00:04:12.06 enjoy it out here, they're pretty free. 00:04:12.07\00:04:13.56 And you have pasture for them, 00:04:13.57\00:04:16.51 I see that you have here and how old 00:04:16.52\00:04:19.19 are these bison that you have? 00:04:19.20\00:04:21.29 These bison here are probably about 00:04:21.30\00:04:22.57 a year and half old. And they are 00:04:22.58\00:04:25.56 in size, how are they, are they half the 00:04:25.57\00:04:28.99 size that they will be as adults or? Yeah, 00:04:29.00\00:04:30.67 they are about half the size, I say the 00:04:30.68\00:04:32.24 biggest one's probably right now is 00:04:32.25\00:04:33.60 about 800 to 900 pounds. And so then 00:04:33.61\00:04:36.24 they will get to be much large than that 00:04:36.25\00:04:38.11 and we have bison boys and girls, 00:04:38.12\00:04:39.72 that have been recorded up as high as 00:04:39.73\00:04:41.86 2200 pounds, so you get some idea of 00:04:41.87\00:04:44.55 looking at these beautiful creatures 00:04:44.56\00:04:45.76 that John owns. These are juvenile we 00:04:45.77\00:04:48.15 would called and so they will get 00:04:48.16\00:04:50.75 much larger then that but when 00:04:50.76\00:04:53.16 they get to be as large as that 00:04:53.17\00:04:55.64 size John and I wouldn't be here 00:04:55.65\00:04:57.57 this afternoon right John? That's right, 00:04:57.58\00:04:59.27 because then when they're adults 00:04:59.28\00:05:00.94 they can be very dangerous and 00:05:00.95\00:05:04.20 I would like to just caution you that 00:05:04.21\00:05:05.63 maybe when you and your family, 00:05:05.64\00:05:07.19 if you go on a vacation, you're out in 00:05:07.20\00:05:08.77 Yellowstone National Park and you see 00:05:08.78\00:05:11.17 bison beside the road be very, very careful. 00:05:11.18\00:05:14.18 Because they can be dangerous creatures. 00:05:14.19\00:05:16.57 John was just telling us that he had 00:05:16.58\00:05:18.21 some when they got to be growing you didn't 00:05:18.22\00:05:19.81 get in the pasture with them right? No, 00:05:19.82\00:05:21.39 I didn't go in there anymore, I couldn't 00:05:21.40\00:05:23.00 trust them. You wouldn't trust them 00:05:23.01\00:05:24.59 and when they were young you could 00:05:24.60\00:05:26.15 pet them and do those kind of things 00:05:26.16\00:05:27.88 with them, when they get to be adults 00:05:27.89\00:05:29.36 you can't do that. So, boys and girls, 00:05:29.37\00:05:31.30 bison are a sad story in American history 00:05:31.31\00:05:34.12 as I said before there were millions, 00:05:34.13\00:05:36.01 it is estimated upwards of 80 million 00:05:36.02\00:05:39.05 of these creatures roam the United 00:05:39.06\00:05:40.84 States before we got here, when the 00:05:40.85\00:05:42.96 white settlers got here but then as 00:05:42.97\00:05:45.91 the rails moved across the nation then 00:05:45.92\00:05:48.51 it become even sport. John, many 00:05:48.52\00:05:50.85 of rich person, or a person that liked 00:05:50.86\00:05:53.49 to hunt would just take a trip out 00:05:53.50\00:05:55.13 to California. They would stop 00:05:55.14\00:05:56.72 passing a herd they would stand on 00:05:56.73\00:05:58.69 the top of the cars with high powered 00:05:58.70\00:06:00.34 rifles and just shoot them for fun. 00:06:00.35\00:06:02.18 And then people came in and would shoot 00:06:02.19\00:06:05.05 them as many as 300-400 hundred a day, 00:06:05.06\00:06:06.62 they skin them out and take the 00:06:06.63\00:06:08.97 tongue or whatever part they wanted 00:06:08.98\00:06:10.82 then load them aboard flat bed cars 00:06:10.83\00:06:14.26 and hall them away and that's a sad 00:06:14.27\00:06:16.27 thing isn't it, as you boys and girls 00:06:16.28\00:06:18.04 can see these beautiful creature just 00:06:18.05\00:06:19.54 imagine someone going out and 00:06:19.55\00:06:21.12 shooting them for fun. That is a tragic thing, 00:06:21.13\00:06:24.23 now when these are born are they 00:06:24.24\00:06:25.84 same color John when they're born or they? 00:06:25.85\00:06:27.67 No, they're lighter and they you know 00:06:27.68\00:06:30.67 they don't have, they're kind of fuzzy. 00:06:30.68\00:06:32.87 They're fuzzy and they're lighter brown, 00:06:32.88\00:06:35.11 right. Okay, so bison boys and girls are a 00:06:35.12\00:06:38.18 wonderful creature, they're not pets 00:06:38.19\00:06:40.56 that most people would have on their 00:06:40.57\00:06:41.96 farms for boys and girls. 00:06:41.97\00:06:43.70 John enjoys them, he raises them here, 00:06:43.71\00:06:46.15 he has children that they're educate 00:06:46.16\00:06:48.16 about that, the children would come 00:06:48.17\00:06:49.41 out and pet the bison without father. 00:06:49.42\00:06:50.99 So, we've talked about goats and 00:06:51.00\00:06:52.85 rabbits and things that you might have 00:06:52.86\00:06:54.48 as a pet, but a bison requires adult 00:06:54.49\00:06:57.59 supervision so once again the bison, 00:06:57.60\00:06:59.96 an interesting creature. So, boys and girls 00:06:59.97\00:07:02.02 don't forget to tell Jesus that you 00:07:02.03\00:07:03.66 love him because he really does love you. 00:07:03.67\00:07:07.43 Hello boys and girls. Hi there. Cindy, 00:07:15.25\00:07:18.56 what really makes you irritated? Uncle Buddy, 00:07:18.57\00:07:22.92 what really makes me irritated is when 00:07:22.93\00:07:25.52 I go to church potluck and all that's left 00:07:25.53\00:07:28.15 is a piece of bread and a grape. 00:07:28.16\00:07:29.98 That just doesn't fill me up, 00:07:29.99\00:07:32.84 that wouldn't feel me up either. 00:07:32.85\00:07:35.05 But you know years ago when Jesus 00:07:35.06\00:07:37.82 was on earth the same thing happened. 00:07:37.83\00:07:39.84 But Jesus took care of everything. 00:07:39.85\00:07:42.33 Five loaves and two fish 00:07:49.38\00:07:50.90 In the hands of the Lord Is a big, big dish 00:07:50.91\00:07:53.69 One little boy gave away his lunch 00:07:53.70\00:07:56.30 And Jesus fed five thousand lunch. 00:07:56.31\00:07:58.84 On hill side where Jesus was talking a little boy 00:08:00.15\00:08:03.75 with his lunch was walking. 00:08:03.76\00:08:05.34 Five loaves and two sardines, 00:08:05.35\00:08:07.55 just enough for that boy it seems. 00:08:07.56\00:08:10.18 Five loaves and two fish In the hands of the Lord 00:08:11.81\00:08:15.07 Is a big, big dish 00:08:15.08\00:08:16.30 One little boy gave away his lunch 00:08:16.31\00:08:18.81 And Jesus fed five thousand lunch. 00:08:18.82\00:08:21.48 Long before the Sun was down some 00:08:22.99\00:08:25.95 disciples came around. The boy gave 00:08:25.96\00:08:28.90 Jesus all he had and when 00:08:28.91\00:08:31.14 he did, he sure was glad. 00:08:31.15\00:08:33.14 Five loaves and two fish In the hands of the Lord 00:08:34.93\00:08:38.28 Is a big, big dish 00:08:38.29\00:08:39.54 One little boy gave away his lunch 00:08:39.55\00:08:42.02 And Jesus fed five thousand lunch. 00:08:42.03\00:08:44.53 Five loaves and two fish In the hands of the Lord 00:08:47.60\00:08:50.85 Is a big, big dish 00:08:50.86\00:08:52.08 One little boy gave away his lunch 00:08:52.09\00:08:54.53 And Jesus fed five thousand lunch. 00:08:54.54\00:08:57.19 One little boy gave away his lunch 00:08:57.20\00:08:59.62 And Jesus fed five thousand lunch. 00:08:59.63\00:09:02.24 Hey uncle Buddy want some gold fish. Cindy. 00:09:04.14\00:09:06.45 My Aunt Linda makes the best desserts, 00:09:14.53\00:09:16.38 not just desserts but healthy ones 00:09:16.39\00:09:18.61 but don't tell her. I'm gonna share 00:09:18.62\00:09:21.78 one of her recipes with you today, 00:09:21.79\00:09:23.37 we're making strawberry dessert. 00:09:23.38\00:09:25.60 Strawberries are my favorite, 00:09:25.61\00:09:27.73 here's their ingredients. 00:09:27.74\00:09:29.67 1 pkg, silken tofu 00:09:31.54\00:09:32.99 ½ cup frozen strawberries thawed 00:09:34.11\00:09:36.84 & drained (but you can use fresh) 00:09:36.85\00:09:38.84 ? cup pure maple syrup 00:09:38.85\00:09:41.66 ? tsp. salt 1 tsp. Vanilla 00:09:42.73\00:09:46.89 I'm gonna start with the tofu and 00:09:48.28\00:09:49.87 this is Mori-Nu tofu and this is our 00:09:49.88\00:09:53.64 family's favorite but you can't really, 00:09:53.65\00:09:56.44 there's other different kinds of 00:09:56.45\00:09:57.67 tofu but for this recipe I recommend 00:09:57.68\00:09:59.86 using this one, because it just won't 00:09:59.87\00:10:01.49 taste the same without the Mori-Nu. 00:10:01.50\00:10:03.53 Go ahead and put this in, okay, okay, 00:10:03.54\00:10:16.88 we've got maple syrup too, maple syrup in, 00:10:19.53\00:10:21.55 pure maple syrup and then the salt, 00:10:23.43\00:10:26.14 there's seasoning and the vanilla. 00:10:26.15\00:10:33.66 And we're gonna mix this up just until 00:10:37.67\00:10:38.87 the tofu gets all ground up and we need 00:10:38.88\00:10:41.72 the strawberries sliced. Looks good to me, 00:10:41.73\00:10:53.17 go ahead and put the strawberries 00:10:53.18\00:10:55.17 in and you don't wanna do the 00:10:55.18\00:10:56.86 strawberries too much because it'll 00:10:56.87\00:10:59.14 get seedy and you'll have real, 00:10:59.15\00:11:02.43 there will be lots of seeds and it 00:11:02.44\00:11:04.36 won't taste as good. Okay, now we go 00:11:04.37\00:11:20.58 ahead and mix this up, looks like it's 00:11:20.59\00:11:32.74 not getting all the sides, so lets just, 00:11:32.75\00:11:35.13 just a second, okay, we do it one 00:11:36.94\00:11:45.20 more time, okay. Okay, that looks better 00:11:45.21\00:11:56.55 and take our dessert dishes and pour 00:11:57.85\00:12:00.39 some of this into a dessert dish like this, 00:12:00.40\00:12:09.93 have you know my mom she always 00:12:14.06\00:12:15.33 likes to make things pretty, so you can 00:12:15.34\00:12:18.18 use a strawberry and this is her trick, 00:12:18.19\00:12:20.34 you can use a strawberry and if you 00:12:20.35\00:12:22.48 cut little slices like this, almost all the 00:12:22.49\00:12:28.63 way down to the edge of the strawberry, 00:12:28.64\00:12:30.22 on each one. Be careful not to cut 00:12:33.03\00:12:35.05 yourself though, like this. And then you 00:12:35.06\00:12:43.14 take it and gently oops it didn't get 00:12:43.15\00:12:45.98 down far enough, far enough, here we go. 00:12:45.99\00:12:51.76 If you don't get down far enough 00:12:51.77\00:12:53.10 then it won't turn, then when 00:12:53.11\00:12:56.15 you get it and twist it a little bit, like this, 00:12:56.16\00:13:00.38 so it looks like a fan and then set it 00:13:01.80\00:13:05.97 gently in the middle and it's pretty, 00:13:05.98\00:13:10.03 looks like, garnished. And there is also 00:13:10.04\00:13:13.10 another way you can serve this and 00:13:13.11\00:13:15.25 but I like to put granola on it too and 00:13:16.46\00:13:19.58 you can sprinkle it around it like this. 00:13:19.59\00:13:23.58 It's delicious with granola, but there 00:13:26.60\00:13:33.36 is also another way you can serve this. 00:13:33.37\00:13:35.22 You can take it and put it in your 00:13:35.23\00:13:38.96 favorite crust and freeze it, chill it, 00:13:38.97\00:13:43.33 and you wanna chill this too, 00:13:43.34\00:13:47.08 so that it'll be firm, firmer and good and 00:13:47.09\00:13:50.95 this has also got the strawberry on top 00:13:50.96\00:13:53.40 that we sliced and it looks really pretty 00:13:53.41\00:13:57.50 that way. Now, all you have to do is 00:13:57.51\00:14:01.48 cut it into pie wedges and if you really 00:14:01.49\00:14:03.86 wanna make it special then you can 00:14:03.87\00:14:06.90 put some non dairy whipped topping on it, 00:14:06.91\00:14:09.38 it be really good and eat it frozen, 00:14:09.39\00:14:11.62 tastes especially good on hot summer days. 00:14:11.63\00:14:14.24 Well, look at that, you've got two desserts 00:14:15.31\00:14:18.38 and they both taste delicious. 00:14:18.39\00:14:20.79 Well until next time, keep 00:14:20.80\00:14:23.50 cooking and eat healthy. 00:14:23.51\00:14:25.86 Welcome to Zarephath, I'm honor that 00:14:25.87\00:14:36.28 you've come to my home today, 00:14:36.29\00:14:37.63 you know it's not often that a widow 00:14:37.64\00:14:40.21 like me has a privilege of having 00:14:40.22\00:14:41.90 so much company. Your welcome to stay 00:14:41.91\00:14:44.94 for lunch if you'd like. I was just fixing 00:14:44.95\00:14:47.24 some cake for my son and I, we always 00:14:47.25\00:14:49.83 have enough to share with others. 00:14:49.84\00:14:51.58 And you know what when I tell you my 00:14:51.59\00:14:53.70 story you'll see why? About this time 00:14:53.71\00:14:57.81 last year my son and I were picking up 00:14:57.82\00:14:59.76 sticks by the gate of the city. 00:14:59.77\00:15:01.31 My heart was heavy for I knew that 00:15:01.32\00:15:04.55 this would be the last time my son and 00:15:04.56\00:15:06.80 I would be gathering sticks for our fire. 00:15:06.81\00:15:08.91 The famine had destroyed our garden 00:15:09.86\00:15:12.04 and we had very little to eat, 00:15:12.05\00:15:13.84 I became so sad, I knew I only had 00:15:13.85\00:15:18.50 enough flour and enough oil to make 00:15:18.51\00:15:20.89 a little cake for myself and my son, 00:15:20.90\00:15:22.99 then we would die for we had 00:15:23.00\00:15:26.14 nothing else to eat. You can see why 00:15:26.15\00:15:29.00 I was so sad, you know I'm not an 00:15:29.01\00:15:31.87 Israelite woman and I don't really know 00:15:31.88\00:15:34.73 a whole lot about their God, but I do 00:15:34.74\00:15:37.57 believe that their God is a very powerful 00:15:37.58\00:15:40.53 God and I worshiped him in my heart. 00:15:40.54\00:15:43.46 As I watched my son gathering the last 00:15:44.66\00:15:46.82 sticks I saw a stranger come 00:15:46.83\00:15:49.22 through the gate, he called to me 00:15:49.23\00:15:51.73 and he asked me to bring a little water 00:15:51.74\00:15:53.56 in a vessel and as I turned and 00:15:53.57\00:15:55.82 headed to go get him some water he asked 00:15:55.83\00:15:59.24 me if I'd also give him some bread to eat. 00:15:59.25\00:16:01.25 Now my heart really sank, I told him 00:16:02.26\00:16:05.34 I only had enough food for my son and, 00:16:05.35\00:16:07.65 and that I had to eat too and then we 00:16:07.66\00:16:12.02 would have nothing else. Now, in my mind 00:16:12.03\00:16:14.84 I was thinking how could I take the only 00:16:14.85\00:16:18.13 food I have for my son and give it 00:16:18.14\00:16:21.15 to this stranger, but you know what 00:16:21.16\00:16:23.66 it was if this man could read 00:16:23.67\00:16:25.63 my thoughts. For he said that if 00:16:25.64\00:16:28.27 I made a cake for him first that God 00:16:28.28\00:16:31.73 would always make sure there was 00:16:31.74\00:16:33.42 enough flour and enough oil for us. 00:16:33.43\00:16:35.63 Somehow I believe this stranger, 00:16:36.82\00:16:39.11 so I invited him into my home, 00:16:39.12\00:16:41.56 I build a fire and I prepared a cake 00:16:41.57\00:16:44.72 for him just as he'd ask and I used up 00:16:44.73\00:16:49.25 the very last of my flour and oil to 00:16:49.26\00:16:52.06 do this. And after he had eaten 00:16:52.07\00:16:54.33 I went back to where I had set the 00:16:54.34\00:16:56.71 empty pots and I trembled as 00:16:56.72\00:16:59.74 I looked inside the pot of flour and there 00:16:59.75\00:17:05.17 was flour in the pot, it wasn't empty 00:17:05.18\00:17:08.65 and you know what? I went over to 00:17:08.66\00:17:11.53 the oil and I looked inside the oil 00:17:11.54\00:17:14.21 and there was oil. Tears begin to stream 00:17:14.22\00:17:18.70 down my face, Israel's God cared about 00:17:18.71\00:17:22.13 my son and about me, I found out 00:17:22.14\00:17:25.67 that the stranger that came to my home 00:17:25.68\00:17:27.62 was the Prophet of God. His name 00:17:27.63\00:17:30.35 was Elijah; you know I invited Prophet 00:17:30.36\00:17:33.69 Elijah to stay in the loft of our home. 00:17:33.70\00:17:35.96 The famine was so bad, well you can 00:17:35.97\00:17:39.54 imagine how would be if your country 00:17:39.55\00:17:41.98 had not had rain for three years, 00:17:41.99\00:17:44.35 but you know even though the famine 00:17:44.36\00:17:47.36 was very bad. The God of Israel 00:17:47.37\00:17:50.17 faithfully kept the oil in our pots and 00:17:50.18\00:17:53.38 the flour in my flour pot and we never 00:17:53.39\00:17:57.27 went hungry. Just when everything was 00:17:57.28\00:18:00.78 seeming so wonderful something terrible 00:18:00.79\00:18:04.56 happened to me, my son became very sick, 00:18:04.57\00:18:08.17 I tried to do everything I could 00:18:09.35\00:18:11.34 for him. He was my only little boy, 00:18:11.35\00:18:14.03 but you know what? He just became 00:18:14.04\00:18:16.48 worse and worse and then I noticed 00:18:16.49\00:18:19.81 that he stopped breathing. 00:18:19.82\00:18:21.73 I held him against me and I cried, I cried, 00:18:21.74\00:18:25.92 first my husband died and now my son. 00:18:25.93\00:18:29.70 It was too much for me to bear, 00:18:31.10\00:18:32.52 I forgot how God had saved my little boy 00:18:33.72\00:18:36.11 from starving to death, I was so sad 00:18:36.12\00:18:39.03 and angry that my son was dead. 00:18:39.04\00:18:42.80 That I just couldn't think of anything else, 00:18:44.16\00:18:47.08 I went to the Prophet of God and I ask him, 00:18:47.97\00:18:50.53 why has God taken my son from me? 00:18:50.54\00:18:53.61 The Prophet looked into my face and he 00:18:53.62\00:18:57.51 looked so sad, he was sad because 00:18:57.52\00:19:00.97 I had doubted God's love for me. 00:19:00.98\00:19:03.16 He said give me your son, well I held 00:19:03.17\00:19:07.77 out my son to Prophet Elijah, he carried 00:19:07.78\00:19:10.45 my son up to the loft where he was staying. 00:19:10.46\00:19:12.63 You know I don't remember how long 00:19:12.64\00:19:15.29 I waited for Elijah to return and 00:19:15.30\00:19:18.44 I don't remember how long he was 00:19:18.45\00:19:19.76 up there. I was too sad to even think, 00:19:19.77\00:19:22.19 but before I knew it I heard Elijah's 00:19:23.56\00:19:26.39 voice and he said your son is alive, 00:19:26.40\00:19:30.23 I couldn't believe with my eyes, 00:19:30.24\00:19:32.45 there was my son. He was smiling at me 00:19:32.46\00:19:36.57 Elijah placed my son in my arms and 00:19:36.58\00:19:39.83 I held him and I cried for joy. 00:19:39.84\00:19:42.55 And I looked up at the Prophet and 00:19:42.56\00:19:44.77 I said through my tears, which were now 00:19:44.78\00:19:47.33 tears of joy, I know now that 00:19:47.34\00:19:51.65 you are a man of God and you speak 00:19:51.66\00:19:55.02 the truth about God. Now, when 00:19:55.03\00:19:58.08 things happen to me that make me sad, 00:19:58.09\00:20:00.02 I'm always reminded how God of 00:20:01.50\00:20:03.68 Israel has taken care of us in the past. 00:20:03.69\00:20:06.22 And I always find comfort in 00:20:06.23\00:20:08.48 knowing that the great God in 00:20:08.49\00:20:10.73 Heaven loves even me 00:20:10.74\00:20:13.09 a widow in Zarephath. 00:20:13.10\00:20:15.67 Pass me not, O gentle Savior, 00:20:30.88\00:20:37.79 Hear my humble cry; 00:20:37.80\00:20:44.05 While on others Thou art calling, 00:20:45.74\00:20:52.45 Save me by Thy grace. Savior, Savior, 00:20:53.47\00:21:07.78 Hear my humble cry, 00:21:07.79\00:21:15.02 While on others Thou are calling, 00:21:16.11\00:21:22.89 Do not pass me by. 00:21:23.74\00:21:29.55 Trusting only in Thy merit, 00:21:31.65\00:21:37.53 Would I seek Thy face; 00:21:38.72\00:21:44.24 Come and heal my wounded, broken spirit, 00:21:44.25\00:21:52.52 Save me by Thy grace. Savior, Savior, 00:21:52.53\00:22:07.80 Hear my humble cry, 00:22:07.81\00:22:15.02 While on others Thou are calling, 00:22:15.03\00:22:22.27 Do not pass me by. 00:22:23.57\00:22:29.14 While on others Thou are calling, 00:22:31.02\00:22:37.47 Do not pass me by. 00:22:37.48\00:22:45.91 Thank you Lovell sisters for that 00:22:56.45\00:22:57.85 beautiful message and song. 00:22:57.86\00:22:59.55 Boys and girls, I'm sitting here and 00:22:59.56\00:23:01.38 I'm just so inspired today reading your 00:23:01.39\00:23:04.05 letters of how you share Jesus. 00:23:04.06\00:23:05.98 And I wanted to share some of them with you, 00:23:05.99\00:23:07.76 this one is from Jamaica her name is 00:23:07.77\00:23:09.96 Christine and this is her picture she 00:23:09.97\00:23:13.22 says dear Miss Brenda, my name is Christine 00:23:13.23\00:23:15.85 and I like Kids Time very, very, very, much. 00:23:15.86\00:23:18.71 I like Cooking Time and Sharing Time 00:23:18.72\00:23:21.01 and Praise Time and I'm seven years old. 00:23:21.02\00:23:23.19 And I'm in the third grade and 00:23:23.20\00:23:26.11 I love Kids Time, love Christine.
