00:03 It's time to share there's a world out
00:06 there, looking for a friend like Jesus,
00:10 it's time to share there's a world out there.
00:13 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:17 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time.
00:24 Hi boys and girls, I have a picture I want
00:26 to show with you today. Right here, do you
00:29 know who this is, that's right, it's Uncle
00:32 Sam and if you find yourself in a United
00:35 States post office sometime, you're almost
00:37 sure to see a big poster kind of like
00:40 this picture, where Uncle Sam is pointing
00:42 straight you and is screaming I want you.
00:47 Now if you live in the United States of America.
00:49 You know that Uncle Sam isn't a real
00:51 person, but he is a symbol, a symbol of
00:54 the United States. So the poster is
00:56 another way of saying your country wants
00:59 you and the United States army uses that
01:02 symbol of Uncle Sam to persuade the young
01:04 men and women to serve their country
01:06 and perform acts of bravery for their
01:08 commander-in-chief. Today's Bible story
01:12 tells of a man who is very loyal to his
01:14 commander-in-chief. The King of Israel
01:17 and he's a brave soldier, the man in our story
01:19 today, he went on a secret mission and he
01:22 used his sword to prove his loyalty to the King.
01:26 You know Jesus wants us to honor our
01:28 country and our country's leaders.
01:31 In fact, he said that we should willingly
01:34 give whatever we owe to our country, but the
01:37 Bible also says that we should
01:39 always put God first. I wonder if that's what
01:44 the man did in our Bible story today.
01:47 Let me know what you think okay.
01:49 And now let's listen as Ranger Jim tells us about
01:52 a very cute and interesting animal called a wallaby.
01:56 Hi boys and girls, Ranger Jim here saying,
02:06 welcome to Nature Time. We're glad you can
02:08 join us today, we have some new friends.
02:10 We have Connie and Brandy with us.
02:12 And Brandy, what's this you're holding?
02:13 This is a baby wallaby. Does it have a name?
02:17 Poogie. Poogie. How old is this baby?
02:21 She'll be about 10 months old now.
02:23 This is just gorgeous and you're keeping it
02:25 in a pouch, this is something like the
02:27 mother's pouch. The reason you have this?
02:29 We are bottle feeding her, so that she will
02:30 grow up to be tame and won't be afraid of
02:32 people and when you do that you have to
02:34 simulate the mother's pouch so we make an
02:36 artificial pouch out of cloth for her.
02:39 And so this is a special name for creatures
02:42 that are pouched animals, what do we call that?
02:44 Marsupial. Ah, we have a marsupial,
02:47 don't we? And boys and girls,
02:48 you probably have been reading about
02:49 that in school and learning about that
02:51 and we have other marsupials, we have,
02:53 what, we have an old possum, we have here
02:56 in the Northern part of the United States.
02:58 I know we have many of them and then we
02:59 have another marsupial. What is that one?
03:02 A larger creature and it's called a
03:04 kangaroo, is that true? Yeah.
03:05 Are these related, the wallabies
03:07 and the kangaroos? A wallaby is just a
03:08 small version of the kangaroo.
03:10 Beautiful, beautiful. And boys and girls,
03:12 I wish you could touch it. It's as soft as you can
03:15 imagine, and this baby is 10 months old you say.
03:18 About 10 months old. How long would she
03:19 normal stay with her mother?
03:20 At this stage she would just be
03:22 spending a short amount of time in the
03:23 pouch because she's starting to out grow it.
03:26 So she would be spending a lot of time
03:28 outside following her mother around,
03:30 learning to eat the grass and the different
03:32 grains that the adults eat.
03:34 Well, that is beautiful. Well, thank you for
03:37 bringing her. We've learned about
03:38 the baby and she is going to feed her,
03:39 she had enough of the bright sunshine now,
03:41 so she's going to take her over to the shades,
03:43 so she can be more comfortable and
03:45 Connie and I are going to talking about
03:46 the adults now. Tell us more about
03:48 this creature, Connie? Well, these are
03:49 Bennett's wallabies. There is an albino
03:51 one back there. We have gray ones
03:53 and we also have the albinos and they are
03:55 true albinos, they are white, they have pink
03:58 noses, red eyes, the palms of their hands are pink.
04:02 And so they are the true albino and we're
04:04 looking at albinos, with the pink eyes
04:06 where actually they are actually clear.
04:08 They don't have the ability to have the
04:10 color, so we are seeing, actually we
04:12 are seeing the blood vessels when we see that.
04:14 So they are true albino. Well, that is really
04:16 interesting, how many of them do you have?
04:18 We have three albinos, females and
04:20 they we have a male that is half albino,
04:22 but he has retained the gray coloring just like
04:24 the baby that you just saw.
04:26 Now is this genetic, carried on from when
04:28 we're breeding them, if you have all albinos.
04:30 Will they produce albinos? Yes.
04:32 They will produce so, until they're,
04:34 and these animals they produce how
04:36 many young, would she normally
04:37 have just a single. Just have a single
04:38 young a year. Occasionally there
04:40 can be twins but that is quite rare.
04:42 That is quite rare, and these are, we were
04:45 here and looking at these creatures and
04:47 boys and girls, it was just amazing
04:48 when we came up. When the car pulled
04:50 in the driveway these creatures all stop
04:52 looking, all stopped eating and stood up
04:54 on their back legs and began to look and
04:56 watch and they're so curious.
04:57 I've noticed that they're a very curious
04:59 creature, and so the gray one that we have
05:02 is, that's not an albino, the others are the albinos.
05:05 He is actually half albino,
05:06 but he has the gray coloration.
05:08 And what about food that they eat,
05:09 if you have a wallaby, what do you feed that?
05:13 We get a special food that is formulated just
05:15 for wallabies and kangaroos.
05:17 It has a higher level of vitamin E and
05:19 selenium in it then other animal feeds
05:21 would have and that is what they
05:23 need to grow properly. Alright, and I see that
05:28 you have some other things over that you
05:29 said that occasionally they do eat though.
05:31 You said, that they do eat carrots or apples,
05:34 they will eat that. Yes. We give those as
05:35 treats. We don't want to overfeed them but
05:37 we do give carrots and apples they are
05:40 like strawberries, grapes, all different
05:42 kinds of fruits and vegetables as treats.
05:44 How do they relate to other animals that you
05:45 would have in the barn yard?
05:47 They are okay with animals that they see
05:49 across the fence but they're not really
05:52 suitable to put other animals in with them,
05:54 just like to be with their own kind.
05:56 And so they don't want to get out and
05:58 mix with the larger animals, no,
06:00 or something that might frighten
06:01 them or what have you? Right, yeah.
06:02 Are these quite expensive animals to have?
06:05 A fairly expensive animal in this country,
06:07 it's interesting how in Australia they're
06:09 considered a pest, but in this country they're
06:11 very valuable for people that want to
06:13 have a unique different type of animal.
06:16 Oh, well, I know we've been talking
06:18 about alpacas and things like that and
06:20 I am amazed at the cost of many of these
06:22 things to have as a pet and even in some
06:24 dogs we find that. Yes. So these creatures
06:26 are very, very common in Australia and countries
06:29 like that they are and I was doing some
06:31 research on this project and they say
06:33 that there are what perhaps maybe 20 as
06:35 many as 20,000 in this country, is that
06:36 figure right or is it accurate?
06:38 It's possible. I am not really sure about that.
06:40 Not sure about that, but they are becoming
06:41 more and more common. More, more people
06:43 keeping them as pets and so they are,
06:46 do you register these as you would register cattle.
06:48 No, no they aren't. There isn't a registry
06:49 for wallabies. Just for that.
06:51 Well, boys and girls, it's just such a thrill
06:52 and we thank Connie for allowing us to
06:54 come today and for her to tell us
06:56 something about her pets. And Ranger Jim as
06:58 always saying, don't forget to tell Jesus
07:00 that you love him because he really does love you.
07:11 Hello, boys and girls I am here with our
07:13 friend Michelle, well, at least she used to be
07:16 our friend until she ate the last
07:18 brownie at lunch time.
07:22 Michelle, I thought you were better than that.
07:25 Boys and girls, was that very nice? No.
07:29 Oh, that was a pretty nifty trick.
07:33 This is my shield and it protects me from a
07:34 a ton of bad things. Your shield, like you
07:39 have the shield of faith in Ephesians 6,
07:42 that's where Paul talks about
07:43 the whole armor of God.
07:49 Stand up ye Christians and put
07:52 your armor on, with His mighty power the
07:55 war of sin is won with the helmet
07:58 of salvation, the shield of faith,
08:01 the belt of truth is wrapped tightly
08:03 around my waist, the sword of Spirit
08:07 is Holy word of Him, the breastplate
08:10 of righteousness guards my heart from sin,
08:13 the Gospel shoes alas gives me all the strength,
08:17 to take it and get use to people everywhere.
08:24 We need not wear the armor, everyone away,
08:27 the battle of the Satan, selfishness, and sin.
08:31 So stand up ye Christians and put
08:34 your armor on, for with his mighty
08:37 power the apocalypse will be won.
08:43 I'm sorry guys but it was a really good brownie.
08:58 Hi, in our family cooking on the
09:00 weekends is up to my brother and I,
09:02 but that's okay, I love to cook, and so
09:04 does my brother. I'm going to share
09:06 today with you my Aunt Gale's recipe for
09:09 Apple Cinnamon Pancakes. My family loved them
09:12 and I think yours will too. I'm gonna share
09:14 her recipe with you now.
09:17 1/4 cup water. 1 cup better than milk
09:21 (original flavor) 2 tbsp. olive oil.
09:26 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour.
09:29 1 tbsp. maple or date sugar.
09:32 1 tsp. Rumford baking powder.
09:36 ½ tsp. baking soda. ½ tsp. salt.
09:41 ½ - 1 tsp. cinnamon. And 1 large apple,
09:45 grated (with skin left on).
09:48 And we're gonna start with our
09:50 whole wheat pastry flour. We always
09:52 want to start with our dry
09:53 ingredients, and put that in.
09:59 You can add our Rumford baking powder
10:11 and our baking soda.
10:17 We're gonna add our salts
10:23 and our cinnamon and you can, and this
10:29 is, this is maple or this is date, sugar.
10:35 You can actually use maple sugar or
10:38 Sucanat but I like the flavor of date sugar,
10:42 use that. I'm gonna mix that all up real
10:47 good and then we're gonna make a well in
10:54 the center, or if you're reading ingredients it
10:56 will say well but all well is really is a hole
11:01 in the center. So just make a hole in the
11:02 center and to put your wet ingredients in.
11:08 And we start with our better than milk and
11:10 this is what better than milk is and
11:14 our family loves it. My Uncle Tim is very
11:17 a picky eater. He used to eat cow's milk and
11:20 oats and cheese, all sorts of stuff,
11:22 but when he found out that it was so bad for
11:25 you, he had no trouble changing because it
11:28 tastes so good. And I already have some
11:30 here pre-measured and we dump that in
11:32 the center, add our oil and our water.
11:54 Mix all that up good, the apple, don't worry
11:57 about the apple because that's the
11:58 last thing we're gonna put in.
12:02 Mix that all up real good.
12:05 You don't want to mix it up too long
12:06 though, or you'll get dry.
12:17 Okay, now we're gonna put our apples
12:19 in, but don't worry if the apple gets brown
12:21 after you peel it because that's what
12:23 usually happens after you do it.
12:26 It's still okay, so don't worry about it.
12:37 Mix that all up. When that's all mixed up,
12:47 you want take some, use something to dip
12:51 it in and you're gonna put it on the skillet to
12:53 fry up the apple pancakes,
12:58 this, these make a delicious breakfast,
13:02 just tasty. And when you're frying them
13:06 you wanna wait until there's bubbles on the top.
13:08 Or till you think that they're about done to
13:10 flip them, and this looks about ready to flip.
13:14 So I'm gonna ahead and flip it for you.
13:21 Now, we're gonna have to wait for this
13:22 stuff to cook because already
13:25 I have some made for you.
13:31 This is what the finished product looks like.
13:34 You can garnish it with a strawberry or
13:36 you add something to make it look pretty,
13:40 and my Aunt Gale makes the best
13:41 pancakes, now you can too.
13:44 So remember to keep cooking and eat healthy.
13:58 Who goes? Friend or foe of David? Friend.
14:06 My name is Abishai. And I'm one of
14:08 David's loyal bodyguards and
14:10 followers. All the rough missions
14:12 David's been on I was his right hand man.
14:18 Just last night we went on a secret mission.
14:21 It's one of most dangerous missions
14:23 I've ever been on. It was one which
14:26 took us into the heart of Saul's camp.
14:31 It all started when Saul decided that he
14:33 wanted to kill David. You see David is a
14:37 King kind of guy. He is man that men will follow.
14:41 He is a man of God, and those two things
14:44 put together, scares Saul to death.
14:47 So he figures the best way he can stay King
14:51 is to get rid of David. Well, that's not going
14:54 to happen. He got his army together and
14:57 marched out. And all of us we had to flew
15:00 from our homes and join David in the hills.
15:04 We saw Saul's army camped out one night
15:07 and David was watching from a far
15:09 off hill top and I can tell he was thinking.
15:12 He wanted to do something.
15:14 He had to prove to Saul that he wasn't an
15:16 enemy, that he was a friend.
15:19 So he brought his strongest, bravest
15:22 men together and he said I have mission.
15:27 A mission that I will go on, and I want one
15:30 brave volunteer. He told us what he
15:33 planned to do. He wanted to sneak
15:35 in under the cover of darkness to the
15:38 middle of Saul's camp and prove something.
15:42 I raised my hand, I said David, I will
15:46 follow you to the death. David thanked me
15:50 and that night we took our dark clothes and
15:53 we wrapped them over our bodies.
15:55 We snuck out. We got kind of close to
15:58 Saul's camp and we could see the sentries
16:00 pacing back and forth. They were alert and
16:03 they were good, but we were better.
16:06 We hid behind a rock and a sentry walked
16:09 by and then we flew into camp.
16:12 We jumped over people who were
16:14 sleeping, duck behind tents.
16:16 Where ever there was a fire still slowly
16:18 burning we would creep around, no one
16:21 saw us we were good. We saw in the middle
16:25 of camp surrounded by the entire army
16:28 was Saul, we could tell he was there
16:30 because his spear was jammed into the ground.
16:35 His spear was larger and fancier than
16:37 everyone else's, and I tapped David on
16:39 the shoulder and I pointed and he nodded.
16:42 We were started making our way over there.
16:45 We got there and Abner was lying right
16:48 beside King Saul. Abner is Saul's most
16:52 able general and awesome bodyguard.
16:55 There are few men I would be a little
16:57 afraid to tangle with in hand-to-hand
16:58 combat and Abner is one of those men but
17:02 he was sound asleep. We gently stepped
17:04 over him. I pulled out my sword.
17:07 I raised it over my head and I say David,
17:11 let me kill him now. David said, no,
17:15 I will not kill the Lord's anointed and
17:18 I said, David, don't you know what he's
17:21 done, he has killed us, he has pushed us
17:23 away from our families. He's tried to kill you.
17:25 He is your enemy. He is God's enemy.
17:29 And I raised my sword and I got ready
17:31 to throw it down and David said, no put
17:34 your sword away. So I took my sword and
17:39 I put it away. David said, I trust in God.
17:43 I will not harm the Lord's anointed,
17:47 instead he grabbed the spear and he yanked it
17:51 out of the ground. And I knelt and pulled
17:56 up his bottle of water that was right beside
17:59 his head and we started sneaking out of the camp.
18:03 And far often the eastern hills light was
18:06 starting to shoot over the mountains men
18:08 were starting to stir and wake up,
18:11 so David and I had to be quick and we had
18:13 to be quiet. We were leaping over men
18:16 dodging those this, pulling over that,
18:19 hiding behind tents and we got to where
18:20 the sentries were and we knew that if we
18:22 could get past the sentries, we were
18:24 home free. They came and they walked
18:27 passed and then we fled out into the night.
18:32 By the time we reached some hills
18:34 farther way, the sun was just beginning to
18:36 pick up over the far hills, David's men had
18:39 seen us and they gathered around us,
18:42 and David called out he said, Saul, wake
18:44 up, and all the men woke up in the camp
18:48 and Abner jumped up and said who dares
18:50 defies King Saul and David said, it is I.
18:54 I call for Saul and Saul recognized the voice.
18:58 He said, David, is that you? David said, yes.
19:02 And then he lifted the spear over his hand
19:04 and he lifted the bottle of water over his head
19:06 and he said, look what I have.
19:09 And Saul looked to his side and saw that
19:11 his spear was gone. He looked to his other
19:13 side and saw that the water was not there
19:15 anymore and he knew the David had been at
19:18 his side that night. He knew the David
19:21 had a chance to finish him, and he said,
19:24 David, my son you are a good man.
19:28 I see that you are not my enemy but a
19:31 friend, please go in peace, I want to kill
19:35 you no more. And then he got his army
19:37 together and marched off. David had a chance to
19:41 kill his enemy. He had a chance to
19:44 escape from his problems but he said,
19:46 no, I will wait on God. I will do it God's way.
19:52 And that is another reason why David is a
19:55 man I will follow because David follows God.
19:59 Daniel and his friends must choose
20:19 what is right or wrong Should they take the
20:24 easy way or follow God's commands
20:29 Dare to be a Daniel Dare to stand alone
20:35 Dare to have a purpose for him.
20:38 Dare to make it known. When you find that
20:44 you must choose, do what's right and good.
20:49 Think of Daniel and his friends and please
20:52 the Lord your God. Dare to be a Daniel.
20:58 Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a
21:03 purpose for him. Dare to make it known.
21:16 Thank you for that song "Dare to be a
21:17 Daniel" and do you know what?
21:20 I have someone with me today that does
21:22 dare to be a Daniel. I'd like you to meet
21:24 Emmanuel, hi Emmanuel and his
21:26 sister Amira. Amira, can you say hi?
21:29 Hi. Hi, can you show him that smile I love.
21:33 Yes, I love that big smile. Emmanuel, tell
21:36 me what do you do to share Jesus?
21:39 I give people clothes and I give them food
21:43 on the church van, and I like to do it
21:47 everyday and I did it for a long time and
21:54 I never got tired and it makes me feel happy.
21:58 It does, it makes you feel happy.
22:01 You don't get sad when you go on oh,
22:04 I would rather play with my toys and
22:05 I don't want to go work on that church van today.
22:07 You don't ever think that way? No.
22:10 No, and why does it? Why not?
22:14 Because, it makes me happy.
22:16 It makes you happy. Does it make other
22:18 people happy too. Yes, you know what,
22:21 that's the way it is, boys and girls
22:23 when we work for Jesus it makes us happy
22:26 and it makes Jesus happy, and it makes
22:28 the people happy too. Amira, tell me about
22:31 your friend Jordan? Did you invite her to
22:36 your house? What did you invite her for?
22:41 To have worship. To have worship?
22:45 Does your friend know about Jesus? No.
22:48 Doesn't know about Jesus.
22:50 So did you tell her? And what did
22:53 you teach Jordan? Did you teach her a
22:58 nice song about Jesus? What one did
23:00 you teach her? Jesus loves me.
23:04 Jesus loves me. Can you sing that
23:06 song for Miss Brenda? How does it go?
23:10 Jesus loves me, this I know for the Bible
23:17 tells me so. Little ones to Him belong;
23:24 we are weak but He is strong.
23:29 Oh, I love that song. Thank you for sharing
23:31 that with us, and you also, you like to pray,
23:35 don't you? Who do you pray for?
23:38 Jordan. Do you just pray for
23:40 Jordan and nobody else? Who else do you pray for?
23:46 You told me you like to pray for everybody.

24:16 Hey, my name is Tyler and I like
24:19 sharing Jesus about joining my friends,
24:23 relatives and drawing pictures of them
24:28 and learn about them and doing stuff for them.
24:36 I love him my whole life.
24:44 Thank you so much Tyler for that,
24:47 you know I'm so glad even at that age he
24:49 loves Jesus and did you hear how he said,
24:51 he loves doing stuff for Jesus. I love that too.
24:54 Well, the e-mail I'd like to share with you
24:56 and this says, dear miss Brenda my
24:58 brother Ben and I share Jesus by
25:00 volunteering at our church work bee
25:02 and we took our chainsaws, which
25:04 ours were toy ones and we helped trim
25:06 branches on the play ground and we also
25:09 helped rake pine needles near the play
25:11 for it and pull weeds out of the flower beds
25:14 and it says, my brothers name Ben
25:16 is 4 and I am 6. Love, Cliff. And he sent a
25:20 picture of his dad and also his brothers,
25:24 isn't that a nice picture. Thank you so much
25:27 for that and I have another one here.
25:29 Can you hold this picture for me?
25:32 This letter says dear Miss Brenda,
25:34 my name is Meredith. I share Jesus by
25:36 telling the other children who my
25:38 mom babysits for. I tell them all about
25:41 the Bible and about Jesus.
25:42 I love Kids Time, love Meredith. P.S.,

25:54 another quick one here. It said, dear miss
25:57 Brenda, my name is Adrina and I love
26:00 Jesus and I share him in many other ways
26:03 and it said, I hope this is heard by people
26:05 who don't know Jesus, so they can see
26:07 that even though I'm a little child I know he
26:10 loves me and he died for me and here's a
26:12 picture of her. Isn't that precious,
26:15 it looks like the other part got cut off.
