00:03 It's time to share there is a world out there
00:06 looking for a friend like Jesus,
00:09 it's time to share there is a world out there.
00:13 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:17 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time.
00:25 Hi boys and girls, have you ever seen a broom
00:27 like this before. Do you know my friend Kim Smith made
00:30 this for me and she did such a nice job,
00:33 she took a stick that was out in her woods and she
00:36 just smoothed it off right here and then she took
00:38 some straw and she tied it all around the stick with
00:42 some of this twine right here. Didn't she do a good job.
00:45 Do you know if you lived in a place that didn't have
00:48 any factories that can make a broom.
00:49 You'd have to make your own wouldn't you?
00:53 And you know what there are some places in the world
00:55 today that don't have broom factories and so they
00:58 probably have brooms that look a lot like this.
01:00 Now, watch me sweep the floor with this broom.
01:03 Let's see, yes it works doesn't it? And it does a
01:07 really good job but oh my aching back.
01:13 Bending over this way and sweeping for only a
01:15 few minutes wouldn't be very comfortable for me.
01:17 It's a very short handle. Our Bible story today
01:22 however tells us about a woman who used her broom
01:24 like this and she swept and swept and swept.
01:27 Not because their floor was dirty,
01:30 but because she was looking for something and finding it,
01:33 it was important to her that she never gave her aching
01:36 back a second thought. Have you ever wanted
01:39 something badly enough to go through all kinds
01:42 of hardship to obtain it. I wonder if,
01:44 if it was something that you wanted really bad like
01:47 maybe a new bike or really nice clothes,
01:51 a pair of sneakers or may be it was a CD
01:55 or a week at camp. Whatever it was,
01:58 you may have had to work very hard to save
02:01 your money for it or may be go without some special
02:03 treat so that you can get something important.
02:06 You'll find that the woman in our Bible story today,
02:09 she was looking something important too,
02:12 but you know I think there is something we can learn
02:14 about searching for things. The first thing is,
02:17 is that Jesus wants us to search for him and
02:21 we can do this by praying and by reading our Bibles
02:23 and listening to character building stories
02:26 and by going to church. The second thing we can learn
02:30 is that Jesus is searching for us even harder
02:33 than we are searching for him.
02:35 Every time you have an impulse to go and do the right
02:38 thing or to talk with him. That's because Jesus
02:41 is whispering to you and he's saying come,
02:44 come a little closer, be my friend.
02:47 I have done everything I can for you,
02:50 even died for you, so please won't you make
02:53 me your best friend, won't you make me the most
02:56 important thing in your life. Boys and girls
02:58 I want you to chose Jesus and I promise that you'll
03:02 never be sorry for that decision.
03:04 Now Ranger Jim is going to take us on a cruise
03:07 down the river and we are
03:09 going to see some wild animals.
03:18 Hi boys and girls, Ranger Jim saying welcome
03:20 to Nature Time. We're back in Florida Silver Springs,
03:23 a beautiful park and we're enjoying some of these
03:25 creatures. My friend Jesse is with us again today.
03:28 Jesse what is this we're looking at?
03:29 These are monkeys. These are monkeys,
03:31 are Colobus monkeys and you'll notice a long white
03:34 tail, the white cape. They're beautiful they're tree
03:36 dwellers, they stay up and they're way high in the
03:38 tops of the trees and of course that means
03:40 they're gonna eat the leaves up the tops of trees and Jim,
03:43 you'll see a variety of Lemurs, red ruffed Lemurs,
03:46 guenons. We have the Sable Antelope off to the left
03:50 and something unique about taking care of animals
03:52 and this is, a lot of children don't realize.
03:54 It's the dedication, you have to go out everyday,
03:57 you have to look at the animals and nutrition is very
04:00 important and of course the medication.
04:02 We've got keepers on the bank over here taking care
04:04 of Sable Antelope. Now, these Sable Antelope are
04:07 almost a symbol of Africa. They actually use a Sable
04:10 Antelope, beautiful and you will see the beautiful
04:12 giant shaped horns, that is the symbol of Africa
04:16 and it shows what that continent has to offer.
04:18 Here at Silver Springs we have a lot
04:19 of these African animals. Of course again the keepers
04:22 of these animals they have to know the animals.
04:25 They have to know what nutrition and they have
04:27 to see if the animal is limping a little bit.
04:29 It would be something in the hoof.
04:31 There would be something wrong with the horns
04:33 and of course everything is very important here.
04:35 We have to balance and we try to recreate what would
04:38 happen in Africa on the river banks here.
04:40 We've got a large variety of animals here on the banks.
04:43 It just takes that dedication doesn't it,
04:45 and boys and girls you may hear some different sounds
04:47 today and this is very different,
04:49 very difficult for our crew, because they have to
04:52 flitch from side to side and we even are meeting
04:54 other boats as we go along this river as you will do
04:57 if you come to this park, but all of these beautiful
04:59 creatures are out in a natural setting where you can see
05:02 them. Oh we have another monkey over here,
05:03 the same kind of monkey. He is taking it easy.
05:06 Yes, yes. That's a Colobus and again these animals
05:09 go a 100 foot the tops of the trees and they'll get
05:12 those new shoots, the new leaves and they'll eat.
05:14 And they eat most of the day and then of course
05:17 you can see what they do the rest of the day.
05:18 They take it easy. Rest of the day and at night
05:20 they better sleep in the trees as well for protection.
05:23 Yes, yes. Very, very, very, very interesting,
05:26 all kind of creatures here, all kind of trees
05:29 that you will see as we travel along and over on the
05:32 side end. Did I see an ostrich over there on the side,
05:35 yes. I thought I saw an ostrich. Yes, we do that's,
05:38 those animals get over 9 feet tall and can run more
05:41 than 40 miles an hour. They run very fast.
05:43 That is the fastest creature on the earth that God
05:45 made on two legs. The Cheetah with four legs
05:50 can run faster than that, but the Ostrich perhaps
05:53 has the greatest stamina, it can run 40 miles
05:55 an hour for 20 minutes. And unlike other birds,
05:58 they're non-flighted. Right. They can't fly,
06:02 but God gave every creature some method of escape,
06:04 sure, and that, their method of escape is their speed
06:06 that they can runway from any creature that gets
06:09 after them, they run away. Absolutely.
06:10 And I have some ostrich eggs that are this big around
06:12 and they are of interest to boys and girls too.
06:14 Boys and girls as we travel along where you won't be
06:16 seeing animals and things of that nature,
06:19 as you can see along the sides,
06:21 they are beautiful cypress trees, cypress knees,
06:24 there is palm trees, there is Brazilian peppers
06:28 and all kind of beautiful things for you to see.
06:31 As you travel along we find ourselves saying oh,
06:33 ah and everyone now is trying to be quite on this boat.
06:36 And on the boat you come and when you're
06:38 traveling through it. You'll be jumping up and
06:40 saying look here, look there, oh isn't this beautiful,
06:42 I assure you. In fact, in fact, yes Jesse says he
06:45 acknowledges you, in fact over on our right now
06:47 there is a bunch of logs where a tree has been
06:49 blown down across and someone cut the trees down,
06:51 but beside it there is something beside it.
06:53 You wouldn't even normally see would you,
06:55 he is so well camouflaged. He blends in doesn't he.
06:57 He really blends in. Now see he's getting sun
06:59 right there. He's getting a lot of sun in the day time.
07:01 It's gonna help keep him warm at night time.
07:03 That's, he is going to store that and also along side
07:06 of these spaces you will see turtles here and as you
07:09 go along, the gators will dig a hole back under a bank
07:12 and it will be above have an area where he can breath,
07:16 get air there and when the weather gets very colder
07:18 even in Florida, he goes under water and he can
07:21 stay there and as you said before in one of our
07:24 segments only alligator, the crocodile,
07:26 their heartbeat slows down to three or four beats
07:28 a minute and they can stay under water if necessary
07:30 for as much as two hours, so it is just tremendous
07:32 boys and girls. You can tell if you watch our
07:35 show regularly, you know when Ranger Jim
07:37 gets excited and Ranger Jim is excited about this,
07:40 because this is a beautiful place and as I've said
07:43 before you want to come and see this,
07:45 so boys and girls, this is Ranger Jim as always
07:48 telling you. Don't forget to tell Jesus
07:50 that you love him, because he really does love you.
08:02 Hello boys and girls, Ben has a scripture for us.
08:06 For God so loved the world that He gave His
08:08 only begotten Son, that whoever shall believe in Him
08:10 shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
08:16 God's love goes all over the world.
08:22 God's love goes all over the world,
08:26 all over the world, all over the world.
08:29 God's love goes all over the world,
08:31 to every boy and girl. From the city on the mountain
08:35 to the village by the sea,
08:38 God's love goes all over the world.
08:44 Some children in Australia and over in Hong Kong,
08:48 so that his way down in Africa,
08:50 he loves them all day long, if you go all the way up
08:54 to Greenland, you'll find his love there too.
08:58 It doesn't matter where you go.
09:00 God loves me and you. God's love goes all over the world,
09:05 all over the world, all over the world.
09:07 God's love goes all over the world,
09:10 to every boy and girl, from the city on the mountain
09:14 to the village by the sea. God's love goes
09:18 all over the world. Some children live
09:23 in Vietnam and others live in Spain.
09:26 There languages are different,
09:29 but God loves them just the same.
09:32 Young ones there in Scotland are precious to him
09:35 too. It doesn't matter where you go,
09:38 God loves me and you.
09:41 God's love goes all over the world,
09:43 all over the world, all over the world.
09:46 God's love goes all over the world,
09:48 to every boy and girl, from the city on the mountain
09:52 to the village by the sea.
09:56 God's love goes all over the world.
10:00 If you travel north to Canada or to the Isle of Vis,
10:05 you'll find his love is just strong as in the Middle East.
10:10 For God has made each boy and girl,
10:12 each man and woman too and it doesn't matter
10:16 where you go, God loves me and you.
10:20 God's love goes all over the world,
10:22 all over the world, all over the world.
10:25 God's love goes all over the world to every boy and girl,
10:29 from the city on the mountain to the village
10:32 by the sea, God's love goes all over the world.
10:39 God's love goes all over the world.
12:30 Come on Tessa, let's pick up some twigs,
12:32 we need to get that fire started,
12:34 'cause we need to get these sweet cakes baked.
12:38 That's so much fun getting ready for a party.
12:39 Isn't it? Oh you know lets use our best dishes,
12:43 they'll be so pretty and just yesterday I noticed
12:49 that the grapes are ripe over under that big old tree.
12:52 We can squeeze some fresh grape juice. Honey,
12:55 you just finish picking up those twigs for the
12:57 fire and I'll get started making the sweet cakes,
13:00 because we need to get them baking in time.
13:03 Hello, we were so busy we didn't notice you.
13:06 There is so much to do to get ready.
13:09 We're going to have a party. We just love spending
13:12 time with our friends and parties are so much fun.
13:15 Why just a few minutes ago we finished cleaning
13:18 our little house. It didn't take long.
13:20 It just has one room. We have freshly washed our clothes.
13:24 This is such a special day, oh I haven't told
13:28 you why we are having a party. Now, that's the best
13:31 part. Are you all done? Good job,
13:34 you got a lot of twigs there for the fire.
13:36 Would you like to help me make some of these little
13:38 sweet cakes? Where we live, all of the ladies know
13:42 how important it is to teach our daughters properly.
13:46 They have to learn to make the bread and bake
13:47 it on the fire. They help us start weaving clothes
13:50 while they're still young. We want them to be able
13:53 to do it for their own families when they get old
13:55 enough to have families. Of course the most important
13:58 thing we want them to learn is to trust God
14:02 and yesterday Tessa and I had our faith renewed.
14:06 You see we have a special tradition here in the East,
14:09 when a woman gets married, her mother gets
14:12 her one or a few very precious silver coins.
14:16 My mother and her mother and I guess our
14:20 grandmothers all through the generations have passed
14:22 on a silver coin. It belongs to me now and I hide
14:26 it carefully as the most cherished possession.
14:30 Some day when Tessa gets old enough and when
14:33 she gets married I'm going to give it to her.
14:37 Well, I had decided that Tessa was old enough
14:40 to understand the importance of that silver coin.
14:44 We took a walk across the field and sat in the
14:46 grass under the Oak tree. She sat in my lap while
14:49 I told her about the precious silver coin.
14:52 I explained how it is so important to keep it safe.
14:54 Well, she was very eager to see it.
14:57 She begged me to show it to her.
15:00 She promised that she wouldn't touch it without
15:03 my permission. So, we hurried home and I pulled
15:06 a small stool over to stand on, so I could reach
15:09 way up over the window where I had
15:11 it on a small shelf. I reached behind some cloth
15:14 that I have up there and I pulled out a small pouch.
15:19 It jingled as I carefully lifted it down.
15:22 I keep my other coins in there as well so that
15:24 they will be safe. I reached in feeling for the coin,
15:28 it wasn't there, oh I put the bag out on the window ledge,
15:32 looking for that silver coin, it was gone.
15:35 Oh where could it be? I was horrified,
15:38 where could it have gone? I climbed back up
15:42 onto the stool you're right, it is here.
15:43 I climbed back onto the stool and I shook out the cloth.
15:47 I pulled all of the big bells down and I looked inside,
15:52 no silver coin, I was crying now.
15:56 Tessa, she saw my tears, she grabbed the broom,
15:59 we swept the floor, not just once but twice.
16:04 We looked under the bed and in the corners.
16:06 I even moved the table to see if a leg was on top
16:09 of that coin, nothing. Well, Tessa took my hand.
16:14 She said remember mommy, you told me when
16:17 I needed help I should ask God. Let's ask him
16:20 to help us find that coin. He knows where it is,
16:23 so right there on the floor we knelt together
16:26 and asked God to help us. Well, it was getting dark
16:29 outside by now and we only have one window
16:32 in our small house, so there was no light shining
16:35 in anymore and Tessa got a candle.
16:37 I helped her light it and this time we crawled
16:41 on our hands and our knees and we looked under the table
16:44 and under the bed. The little light of the candle was
16:47 flickering on the walls. We crawled around the room
16:50 one last time and then just below the window something
16:55 glittered in the light of the candle.
16:58 Sure enough I held the candle closer and then there
17:02 was my precious silver coin. We wept together
17:06 with relief and there on our knees we praised
17:10 and thanked God. Look, here is the old pouch
17:15 that I keep my coins in. A mouse must have chewed
17:19 this hole in it. The coin must have slipped out down,
17:23 down behind that shelf and fallen into that crack
17:25 next to the wall, so that's why we're having
17:27 a party. Our friends know how terrible it is to lose
17:31 that silver coin, they want to celebrate with us
17:35 and since it looks like you have plenty of sticks
17:38 Tessa. We're better get these sweet cakes baking,
17:41 we need to hurry. I just love telling everyone about
17:45 God's faithfulness. Did you know that you are
17:49 very precious to God. You know in fact you are more
17:53 precious to him than my silver coin is to me
17:57 and that's pretty special. Here you go,
17:59 you wanna put that on for me? Remember,
18:02 God loves you so much, come on Tessa,
18:06 let's go get ready for the party.
18:33 He hath showed me, O man, what is good;
18:41 and what doth the Lord require of thee,
18:49 but to do justly, and to love mercy,
18:58 and to walk humbly with thy God.
19:10 He hath showed me, O man, what is good;
19:19 and what doth the Lord require of thee,
19:26 but to do justly, and to love mercy,
19:35 and to walk humbly with thy God.
19:43 But to do justly, and to love mercy,
19:51 and to walk humbly with thy God.
20:26 Thanks to the Bond family for that beautiful song.
20:29 Well, boys and girls I'm sitting here reading all
20:32 the letters from you and I'm going to share some of them

20:58 Your friend Bradley and I am six years old.
21:01 Thank you Bradley for your letter.
21:04 Let's see we have another letter here.
21:05 This is from North Carolina and it looks like I have
21:09 two letters in here. This one says oh this is a picture.
21:14 Gave me a pretty picture, looks like an ocean,
21:18 let's see what it says on the outside,
21:19 doesn't tell me what it is, but it's a pretty picture.
21:21 Isn't it? And let see what the letter says, okay.
21:24 It says dear Miss Brenda, my name is Lenneth and
21:29 I'm 13 years old and I'm in the six grade.
21:32 I know that I might be a little too old to be writing
21:35 to you. I wanted to first of all tell you that I've been
21:38 watching your program and I have enjoyed it very much,
21:41 second of all I wanted to ask you if you could send me
21:43 an activity book please and I also need an extra
21:47 one because I have two brothers and one of them
21:49 is named Omar and he is ten years old and he is in the
21:52 fourth grade. The other one is Abner and he is only
21:56 four months old, that's why I didn't asked for three books.
21:59 I really love him, I would really appreciate it if you
22:02 could write back to me thank you love and your
22:05 friend Lenneth, Omar and Abner and P.S.
22:09 I will be praying for you. Well, thank you so much
22:11 I will send you the books, alright.
22:14 And let's see we have a letter from the Bahamas.
22:18 Okay and this is a, well, we have got a picture
22:20 here too and we open the letter and here is the picture
22:24 boys and girls, can you see that? Says dear Kids Time
22:27 my sister and I enjoy Kids Time and my name is
22:30 Ronisha and my sister's name is Alisha
22:32 and I'm ten years old and my sister is five years old
22:36 and it said please send us activity books,
22:38 may God bless you love, Ronisha and Alisha Johnson
22:42 and they're from the Bahamas.
22:44 Well thank you so much and thank you for your picture.
22:47 Let's see I have another one here from Oregon
22:49 and another picture. I just love those pictures
22:52 boys and girls. I love to see what you look like when
22:55 you write nice letters like this and telling me how you
22:57 share Jesus. Oh look, we got a picture that someone
23:00 colored for me, isn't that pretty? Okay,
23:03 let's see what the letter says. We've got another
23:06 picture too, oh here they are boys and girls,
23:10 it says dear Miss Brenda my name is Joshua
23:12 and I have a brother and his name is Josiah.
23:17 Joshua and Josiah, says I'm 11 years old my brother
23:21 is five years old. We love watching Kids Time
23:24 and we love you. The other day I witnessed for Jesus
23:28 by helping a man at the store and when he came
23:32 out of the store he dropped a $100 and wow my eyes
23:36 grew quickly big, but I picked it up and I gave it
23:40 to him. I think I shared Jesus, love Joshua and Josiah.
23:45 PS, can you send an activity book? Oh Josiah,
23:47 I'm so proud of you and I know you have made Jesus
23:49 very happy too, because you did do the right thing.
23:52 I'm sure Satan would have tempted you to keep
23:54 that $100, but would that be right?
23:56 No, and it's not worth missing heaven over is it?
23:59 So I'm really glad that you did the right thing.
24:03 Now, we have a letter from North Carolina and
24:06 this letter, see this, oops, I don't want to drop
24:10 anybody's picture here. Here is a picture right here
24:14 and this is from Melissa Guthrie and Melissa says,
24:18 dear Brenda, my name is Melissa and I'm seven
24:20 years old and I live in North Carolina, and it said,
24:24 we recently took a trip to Washington DC
24:27 and I was able to share Jesus with people
24:30 on the plane. You know I want to help tell the world
24:33 that Jesus is coming soon and one of the ways
24:35 I can do this is by helping my mother put Bible
24:38 stories at my father's office so that people can know
24:42 more about Jesus. Love, Melissa Guthrie.
24:45 Well, thank you Melissa and you know that is a wonderful
24:47 way to share Jesus. And let's see here I have,
24:51 let me read a email from you. I have an email
24:53 and this is from let's see, well this is from Sarah,
24:57 says hi, I'm writing on behalf of my three year old
25:00 daughter Caira Joseph from the beautiful Caribbean
25:03 Island of Saint Lucia. Oh I know it's beautiful there.
25:06 She certainly enjoys Kids Time up for the Bible
25:09 stories, music and other specials and it is indeed
25:12 a joy to know that kids share Jesus with their
25:15 friends in so many ways. We love sharing time.
25:17 Caira shares Jesus by singing the song.
25:20 She learns at church to her preschool classmates.
25:22 I don't have an email for Kids Time,
25:27 so I sent this to some, one else and hopes
25:29 it gets to you and also please say hi to Caira
25:33 on one of your programs and hopefully we'll get a
25:35 chance to see it. Make God richly bless you,
25:37 as you continue to proclaim that Jesus is alive
25:40 and will be here soon. We are praying for you.
25:43 Love, Sarah. Well, I'm glad that this did reach me,
25:47 but now our Kids Time address is, our e-mail address
25:51 is Kidstime@3abn.org okay, so maybe if I say
25:55 that a number of times people will remember that.
25:58 I'll put that down here and I think we might have
26:00 time for another letter here. So many letters
26:03 boys and girls, it's just never enough time is there.
26:05 This one is from Stephanie Allan, it says dear
26:08 Miss Brenda I love your show,
26:09 I like to watch it every Sabbath morning
26:11 with my grandma and I like to listen to the
26:13 letters that kids send you. I like it when other kids
26:16 send their pictures too. I like your Kids Time show
26:19 and I like to write my Grandma Grey and I like
26:22 to write my friends, love, Stephanie Allan.
26:24 Boys and girls, won't you too share Jesus,
26:27 remember he loves you and he is coming soon.
26:29 Remember it's Kids Time to share Jesus.
