It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:03.45\00:00:06.87 Looking for a friend like Jesus. It's time to share 00:00:07.20\00:00:11.85 there's a world out there; let's tell them 00:00:11.88\00:00:14.44 that He loves us so. Let's tell them that He 00:00:14.47\00:00:18.17 loves us so. Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:00:18.33\00:00:25.16 Hello, boys and girls. Do you know what kind of 00:00:25.19\00:00:27.03 animal this is? Can you guess? That's right, it's a 00:00:27.17\00:00:31.12 giraffe. And what is the first thing you notice about 00:00:31.35\00:00:34.13 a giraffe? Could it be the very interesting pattern 00:00:34.17\00:00:37.28 of hair all over it's body or maybe its long legs, 00:00:37.31\00:00:41.87 or maybe it's nubs, nubby horns right here on the 00:00:42.48\00:00:45.38 top of his head. I'm pretty sure though that the very 00:00:45.47\00:00:49.05 first thing you noticed was it's very 00:00:49.10\00:00:51.63 long, long neck. You know, the giraffe has the 00:00:51.91\00:00:55.17 longest neck of any mammal and that use of that 00:00:55.37\00:00:58.97 neck to reach high into the trees to eat leaves. 00:00:59.11\00:01:02.19 And actually the giraffe eats mostly from a tree 00:01:02.81\00:01:05.27 called the Cashew Tree. Now, they eat it's leaves 00:01:05.47\00:01:08.86 and twigs and the bark, but they are most careful 00:01:09.14\00:01:12.80 not to eat a certain part of that tree and do you 00:01:13.01\00:01:14.99 know, what that is it's the sharp thorns that nestle 00:01:15.05\00:01:18.54 among its leaves. God gave the giraffe's long neck 00:01:18.57\00:01:23.23 to reach high up into the trees. And he also gave a 00:01:23.48\00:01:26.72 tough rubbery lips that have very thick saliva to help 00:01:26.96\00:01:30.30 protected against pokes and pricks from those 00:01:30.53\00:01:32.68 thorny cashew trees. Sometimes I wish you and I 00:01:32.76\00:01:36.50 could be more or like that giraffe even though it 00:01:36.58\00:01:39.39 finds itself surrounded by both good and bad, 00:01:39.62\00:01:42.06 it chooses only the good. The giraffe knows that 00:01:42.72\00:01:47.08 choosing the bad trying to eat those thorns would 00:01:47.23\00:01:49.95 cause him a lot of pain. And we humans just, 00:01:50.23\00:01:53.06 I know who is smart aren't we, we figure that 00:01:53.53\00:01:56.19 listening to songs with bad words won't really 00:01:56.35\00:01:58.53 hurt us all that much or but watching TV or 00:01:58.66\00:02:01.68 movies with people, hitting and fighting, and 00:02:01.91\00:02:03.75 shooting, and killing each other. Well, I heard this 00:02:03.97\00:02:06.20 that much either, but the truth is, we need to be 00:02:06.28\00:02:10.26 more or like that giraffe, choosing only the things 00:02:10.33\00:02:13.50 that God's wants us to choose, things that won't 00:02:13.57\00:02:16.15 hurt us. Do you know, if we do that boys and girls, 00:02:16.30\00:02:20.17 we're gonna be happier and healthier just like that 00:02:20.32\00:02:23.26 wise giraffe. Let's listen what Ranger Jim tells 00:02:23.45\00:02:26.63 us a little bit more about giraffes. 00:02:26.66\00:02:29.08 Hi, boys and girls. Ranger Jim saying welcome to 00:02:35.92\00:02:37.98 Nature Time. Look what we have today, we're in 00:02:38.02\00:02:39.99 beautiful Silver Springs Florida again. We have 00:02:40.18\00:02:42.35 our friend Jessie with us and, what is this, Jessie? 00:02:42.51\00:02:45.12 This is giraffe; it's almost 20 foot tall. And he comes 00:02:45.42\00:02:48.36 to us from Africa. This is Kemah, this is one 00:02:48.49\00:02:51.12 of the giraffes here in Silver Springs can 00:02:51.15\00:02:52.70 actually come up and actually feed right here 00:02:53.06\00:02:54.66 Silver Spring. Isn't that a thrill? What a beautiful 00:02:55.00\00:02:57.26 creature, boys and girls you're seeing him on film, 00:02:57.39\00:02:59.35 but unless you see him in person, this creature 00:02:59.71\00:03:02.98 can a two story house. He could eat leaves off of 00:03:03.13\00:03:06.34 the top of your house, he is so tall. And his tongue 00:03:06.37\00:03:09.16 is 18 inches long, look at that. Now, they tell me 00:03:09.23\00:03:12.20 that is perfectly possible that you might hold one 00:03:12.41\00:03:14.71 of these in your mouth. I think so, Jim. And he will 00:03:14.82\00:03:17.13 take it. Oh! My, my boys and girls you would 00:03:17.20\00:03:22.09 come they won't let you do that, but you can 00:03:22.12\00:03:24.33 come and feed him out of your hand, okay. These, 00:03:24.42\00:03:27.15 and you know, did you see the color of his tongue? 00:03:27.18\00:03:29.61 Yes, I did. You know, why it's real dark. 00:03:30.23\00:03:31.49 No, I don't. Because they have got their head up 00:03:32.17\00:03:33.74 all the time in the sunshine and they're grazing off 00:03:33.89\00:03:36.48 the tree, so it doesn't get sunburn. Isn't that 00:03:36.51\00:03:38.90 beautiful? Wonderful, wonderful, boys and girls 00:03:39.07\00:03:40.65 they're so many wonderful things about the giraffe 00:03:40.68\00:03:42.87 as long as his neck is, it's still has seven 00:03:43.23\00:03:45.83 vertebrae as do most mammals and they're greatly 00:03:46.05\00:03:49.11 elongated. As you can imagine and what's the 00:03:49.19\00:03:51.45 height that he has, he has a special heart to pump 00:03:51.48\00:03:54.82 that blood up to his brain, which is up in the air 00:03:54.98\00:03:58.40 20 feet like he is raising his head now. Can you 00:03:58.56\00:04:01.14 imagine the normal average mammal what's that 00:04:01.22\00:04:04.83 kind of heart and that kind of blood vessels, if he 00:04:05.07\00:04:07.62 certainly lowered his heart. Any other creature that 00:04:07.76\00:04:10.20 God made that did just what he did without the 00:04:10.24\00:04:12.39 special adaptations that he has would die. Some 00:04:12.65\00:04:15.79 people will find that even if they're sitting down 00:04:15.97\00:04:17.70 or they aren't feeling well, if they quickly stand up 00:04:17.85\00:04:20.13 because of the blood pressure is different they 00:04:20.46\00:04:21.79 become dizzy maybe even faint. This creature and 00:04:21.87\00:04:24.61 his neck as special veins, they are very elastic, they 00:04:24.64\00:04:29.10 have valves in them. So, that the blood pressure 00:04:29.13\00:04:31.46 is always flowing in that direction and when he 00:04:31.49\00:04:33.90 wants to lower his head to eat or drink, he must 00:04:33.95\00:04:36.85 spread his leg at a 45 degree angle and then put 00:04:37.04\00:04:39.71 his head down to taking water, if he did not have 00:04:39.80\00:04:42.98 the elastic veins and arteries in his brain, if he 00:04:43.01\00:04:46.51 didn't have all of the specialized equipment, 00:04:46.62\00:04:48.50 the blood pressure would be so great that the 00:04:49.38\00:04:51.22 arteries in his brain would explode also these 00:04:51.30\00:04:54.10 creatures are the only creatures that have horns 00:04:54.28\00:04:56.49 at birth. And as you can see, he has horns and they 00:04:56.55\00:04:59.57 are covered the male and the female that are covered 00:04:59.90\00:05:02.24 with skin. And they're quite soft and you have 00:05:02.38\00:05:04.89 a big bony prominence out here. The males get that 00:05:05.01\00:05:07.71 as they get older, it builds up and that's the way 00:05:07.74\00:05:10.67 they fight for mating rides. They gather two males, 00:05:10.84\00:05:13.42 will approach each other, the long necks and 00:05:13.46\00:05:15.50 began to rub and feel out each other, see how 00:05:15.67\00:05:17.32 strong they are? Didn't what they decide to fight, 00:05:17.66\00:05:19.75 they just lean off to one side and began to bang 00:05:20.29\00:05:22.58 each other their heads. Now, that sounds dumb, 00:05:22.68\00:05:25.38 doesn't it? But if you're a giraffe and you've a bony 00:05:25.44\00:05:28.09 head like that and sometimes most usually 00:05:28.20\00:05:31.14 they miss, but if they strike each other 00:05:31.24\00:05:33.26 sometimes, when the giraffes is knock to the 00:05:33.56\00:05:35.17 ground unconscious and after they bang heads 00:05:35.32\00:05:37.87 for a while. They decide which guy deserves the 00:05:38.00\00:05:40.25 female and the other guy retreats. So, that's the 00:05:40.39\00:05:43.91 way they do that. Now, another exciting time is, 00:05:44.05\00:05:46.76 when a baby is born you can see how tall this 00:05:46.87\00:05:49.62 creature is. And when the baby emerges from the 00:05:49.86\00:05:52.18 mother's birth channel. You can see 00:05:54.97\00:05:55.94 that is quite distant to the ground and rarely is the 00:05:55.95\00:05:58.28 baby injured, okay. It hits the ground so hard it 00:05:58.48\00:06:01.18 almost bounces and I can assure you that is not like 00:06:01.42\00:06:04.07 in the delivery room where baby needs to be spank 00:06:04.20\00:06:06.55 to take his first breathe that baby gets his breathe 00:06:06.78\00:06:09.41 very quickly. Now, around the neck, when they 00:06:09.57\00:06:12.48 were here and you could see them, there is ridge 00:06:12.59\00:06:14.55 around the neck of the giraffe that is the sixth 00:06:14.67\00:06:17.25 lowest one. The lowest one the thoracic part of the 00:06:17.52\00:06:21.64 neck that he has to that vertebrae, it has 00:06:21.88\00:06:24.40 projections, bony projections that go off 00:06:24.56\00:06:26.50 to the side of it and attached to that is bones 00:06:26.62\00:06:29.19 and ligaments that's what holds the neck erect, 00:06:29.22\00:06:32.68 much the same as in modern day cranes that we 00:06:33.18\00:06:35.50 have, if you see a crane out here working on the 00:06:35.63\00:06:37.57 construction site, you will see cables going off 00:06:37.82\00:06:40.14 the side of it that is the same thing that God use 00:06:40.31\00:06:42.84 with this creature. He attached those ligaments 00:06:42.89\00:06:45.07 and muscles there that holds the neck up right, 00:06:45.31\00:06:47.33 so that it can manipulate go up and down and all 00:06:47.61\00:06:50.11 around. So, the giraffe is the wonderful creature. 00:06:50.14\00:06:52.48 There is one sad note that 50 percent of all giraffe 00:06:53.18\00:06:56.73 babies that are born die to predators the first year 00:06:56.92\00:07:00.62 of their life. Okay, so it is the dangerous thing to 00:07:00.82\00:07:02.93 be a baby giraffe because the giraffe doesn't have a 00:07:02.98\00:07:05.48 greater amount, a lot of ability to defend it they 00:07:05.69\00:07:08.94 can also, they can walk on you or stomp on you or 00:07:09.03\00:07:12.68 something of that affect, but the giraffe is a 00:07:12.71\00:07:15.62 tremendous creature, he has huge feet and he has 00:07:15.83\00:07:19.15 the ability to run at 35 miles an hour. Boys and 00:07:19.18\00:07:22.01 girls, I hope you enjoy this today. We want to 00:07:22.05\00:07:24.47 thank our friend Jessie; he has been so helpful, 00:07:24.56\00:07:26.58 so hospitable all the people here have just helped 00:07:26.74\00:07:29.39 us so much today. And we hope you have enjoyed 00:07:29.42\00:07:31.91 this. So, this is Ranger Jim as always telling you, 00:07:32.00\00:07:34.08 don't forget to tell Jesus that you love him 00:07:34.45\00:07:36.12 because he really does love you. 00:07:36.53\00:07:38.76 Hello, boys and girls. Welcome to the Kids Time 00:07:56.90\00:07:59.14 construction set. Where we're building, that is not 00:07:59.21\00:08:03.02 just as its building. God is building, he is building 00:08:03.12\00:08:06.09 a brand new you. Everyday, he wants to make 00:08:06.22\00:08:09.26 you more-and-more like him. So, don't worry 00:08:09.37\00:08:12.88 even when you blow remember 00:08:13.25\00:08:14.34 you're still under construction. 00:08:14.96\00:08:16.27 Kids under construction Maybe the paint is still wet 00:08:21.72\00:08:27.62 Kids under construction The Lord may not be finished 00:08:29.42\00:08:34.73 yet. We're more than just accidents without the 00:08:34.91\00:08:39.66 the cause; We're more than just bodies and brains. 00:08:39.69\00:08:43.36 God made us on purpose; we're part of a plan. 00:08:44.79\00:08:48.30 He cares and He knows us by name. 00:08:48.80\00:08:51.29 Kids under construction Maybe the paint is still wet 00:08:53.10\00:08:59.05 Kids under construction The Lord may not be finished 00:09:00.85\00:09:06.34 yet. I try to remember the manner I've learn 00:09:06.48\00:09:11.87 My yes moms and thank you and please 00:09:12.30\00:09:15.00 But I guess you think that more often and not 00:09:16.17\00:09:19.61 How are you and hi aunties 00:09:20.20\00:09:22.58 Kids under construction Maybe the paint is still wet 00:09:24.09\00:09:30.07 Kids under construction The Lord may not be finished 00:09:31.96\00:09:37.31 yet. Dear Jesus, please make me more patient and 00:09:37.45\00:09:42.20 kind, And help us to be more like You. 00:09:42.52\00:09:45.93 And make room for all other children of Yours, 00:09:47.14\00:09:50.70 For they are still growing up, too. 00:09:51.08\00:09:53.81 Kids under construction Maybe the paint is still wet 00:09:55.36\00:10:01.16 Kids under construction the Lord may not be finished yet. 00:10:03.09\00:10:08.83 The Lord may not be finished yet. 00:10:10.23\00:10:12.69 I'm King Nebuchadnezzar. I rule a great kingdom 00:11:33.91\00:11:37.40 called Babylon. Let me tell you a story. The story 00:11:37.86\00:11:42.38 about some young man, who are taking captives by 00:11:42.46\00:11:44.91 my armies during the last war. It was time for me 00:11:45.09\00:11:48.50 to look at the teenage boys. My soldiers had 00:11:48.56\00:11:50.72 brought from the land of Israel. I wanted to choose 00:11:50.95\00:11:54.46 between the best of them, and let them study in 00:11:54.66\00:11:56.37 schools of Babylon. When the group was brought in, 00:11:56.79\00:12:00.07 I looked at each boy; four of the boys had a special 00:12:00.22\00:12:03.53 bright look about them. I could see that they were 00:12:03.74\00:12:06.31 friends; I asked my servant, what their names 00:12:06.41\00:12:08.55 were? He told me, they were called Daniel, 00:12:08.65\00:12:11.34 Shadrach, Meshach, and the Abednego. Maybe 00:12:11.55\00:12:15.70 those four boys should be a part of my special 00:12:15.79\00:12:17.74 group. I appointed it my servant said to him move 00:12:17.82\00:12:22.18 the boys away from the others. Servant, I said, 00:12:22.23\00:12:25.89 take these boys away, get them cleaned up first. 00:12:25.98\00:12:28.66 They must give them new clothes and cut their 00:12:29.60\00:12:31.39 hair, when it is time for meals bring them to the 00:12:31.63\00:12:35.45 Lord dining room. Give them fruit from my table, 00:12:35.56\00:12:38.64 I want them to eat, what I eat, I want them to 00:12:39.45\00:12:41.22 drink, what I drink. This is the way to get strong 00:12:41.27\00:12:44.86 them strong quickly and be ready for school. 00:12:44.93\00:12:47.11 I thought this was a nice way to treat these boys, 00:12:48.90\00:12:50.83 who had been captured during the war. I thought 00:12:50.86\00:12:53.73 they would be happy to get such good care, but 00:12:53.78\00:12:56.50 there were some things I didn't know. Something's 00:12:56.66\00:12:59.36 I wouldn't know until much later. I didn't know 00:12:59.70\00:13:03.68 that these four Hebrew boys were worried about 00:13:03.82\00:13:05.80 my food and my drinks. They didn't want to eat 00:13:05.95\00:13:09.08 certain meats. They didn't want to drink my strong 00:13:09.28\00:13:12.04 drinks. They wanted to be polite and obedient, 00:13:12.44\00:13:15.18 when my servant brought them their first meal, 00:13:15.42\00:13:17.58 but they couldn't forget what their mothers and 00:13:18.58\00:13:20.56 fathers had taught them. Before they were captured 00:13:20.59\00:13:23.02 in the war and most of all they wanted to be true to 00:13:23.10\00:13:26.51 their God in heaven. Oh, I didn't know anything about 00:13:26.57\00:13:30.14 their God in heaven. I had my own God's, I had 00:13:30.32\00:13:33.21 some little gold God's, I had some big wooden 00:13:33.50\00:13:35.93 God's, some of my God's look like animals and 00:13:36.07\00:13:38.38 others like people. I had lots of God's, but none of 00:13:38.86\00:13:42.45 my God's were in heaven, they were in the closet or on 00:13:42.76\00:13:45.56 a shelf or under the bed. Sometimes I even forgot 00:13:45.62\00:13:49.41 about my God's, but the four Hebrew boys didn't 00:13:49.52\00:13:53.02 forget about their God in heaven. They talk to him, 00:13:53.15\00:13:57.03 they prayed to him, they ask their God to help 00:13:57.25\00:13:59.26 them, now what to do. I didn't know that Daniel 00:13:59.41\00:14:02.64 and his three friends decided to talk to my 00:14:02.72\00:14:04.78 servant and I didn't know that the servant 00:14:04.89\00:14:07.51 disobeyed my order to give the captured boys 00:14:07.66\00:14:09.98 foods and drink from my table. Please, please they 00:14:10.17\00:14:13.60 said, would it be alright sir, if we ate something 00:14:13.69\00:14:16.39 else. It wouldn't have to be anything special just 00:14:16.61\00:14:19.34 some vegetables and cereal. And instead of the 00:14:19.64\00:14:22.68 strong wine from the king's table, could we have 00:14:22.89\00:14:25.35 good plain water to drink. Oh! I didn't know that 00:14:25.72\00:14:28.76 my servant like Daniel and his three friends very 00:14:28.89\00:14:31.53 much. He wanted to do, what they were asked? 00:14:31.56\00:14:34.13 But, but he was afraid, he didn't see how it could 00:14:34.30\00:14:37.41 be done, he knew if while I was watching and see 00:14:37.44\00:14:41.15 how they were the captured boys looked they ate 00:14:41.22\00:14:43.26 food from my table, my servant also knew that if 00:14:43.49\00:14:46.89 these four boys were thinner than the rest 00:14:47.19\00:14:49.32 because they didn't have the right food and drink. 00:14:49.50\00:14:52.26 I take his head off, but these three Hebrew boys, 00:14:53.17\00:14:58.17 four Hebrew boys had a secret plan. Their God in 00:14:58.62\00:15:01.47 heaven had given them a good idea. Oh! Sir, just 00:15:01.53\00:15:05.46 give us ten days, they asked please, please let us 00:15:05.61\00:15:08.54 try plain food and good water for just ten days. 00:15:08.65\00:15:11.14 Keep watching us each day to see if we are getting 00:15:11.96\00:15:13.79 thinner or weaker. Look us over and if do not look 00:15:14.03\00:15:17.72 Good then you can do whatever you think is best. 00:15:17.84\00:15:20.85 And you know, that secret plan worked. Oh! I 00:15:22.36\00:15:25.90 never even knew what was happening instead of 00:15:25.93\00:15:28.82 my getting, them getting meat and wine. 00:15:29.09\00:15:31.67 Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego ate 00:15:31.86\00:15:34.37 vegetables, cereal and water day-by-day my 00:15:34.52\00:15:38.39 servant was assured that the boys faces would get 00:15:38.55\00:15:41.10 pale and thin. He was sure they would fall down 00:15:41.25\00:15:44.38 sick, but my servant was wrong. While at the end 00:15:44.46\00:15:48.87 of those ten days, those four young boys look 00:15:48.90\00:15:51.47 better happier and healthier then all the 00:15:51.79\00:15:54.00 others, who would eating food from my table. 00:15:54.21\00:15:55.92 So, everyday my servant gave Daniel and his 00:15:56.77\00:15:59.09 friends all the vegetables and cereal and good plain 00:15:59.29\00:16:02.24 water they wanted. And when it was time for them 00:16:02.38\00:16:05.10 to go school, they soon became the smartest 00:16:05.24\00:16:08.37 students in the whole class. At the end of the three 00:16:08.43\00:16:11.86 years of schooling, well I have found Daniel, 00:16:12.13\00:16:14.76 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to go to be the 00:16:14.96\00:16:16.86 finest young man in my kingdom. In fact, they 00:16:17.24\00:16:20.19 were ten times smarter then all the Wiseman and 00:16:20.24\00:16:23.45 the magicians in Babylon. And that's when my 00:16:23.48\00:16:26.66 servant told me all those things, I didn't know 00:16:26.93\00:16:29.01 before and I was more than surprised that these 00:16:29.08\00:16:32.22 four young Hebrews had never eaten food from 00:16:32.37\00:16:35.06 my table. Oh! They had never tasted strong 00:16:35.21\00:16:39.04 wine, but they had prayed to their God in heaven 00:16:39.15\00:16:42.34 that he would help them. I must tell you, I don't 00:16:43.01\00:16:46.45 know anything about their God, but I think he 00:16:46.53\00:16:49.70 must be very, very powerful, powerful indeed. 00:16:49.87\00:16:56.35 I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee, 00:17:15.14\00:17:24.82 Precious Jesus, Savior Friend; 00:17:25.89\00:17:35.33 And I know that Thou art with me, 00:17:36.36\00:17:46.50 Wilt be with me to the end. 00:17:46.71\00:17:56.09 Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! 00:17:57.04\00:18:06.56 How I've proved Him o'er and o'er; 00:18:07.24\00:18:16.32 Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! 00:18:17.32\00:18:27.10 Oh, for grace to trust Him more! 00:18:27.32\00:18:36.86 Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! 00:18:37.56\00:18:46.86 How I've proved Him o'er and o'er; 00:18:47.56\00:18:58.57 Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! 00:19:00.04\00:19:10.17 Oh, for grace, Oh, for grace, 00:19:10.44\00:19:26.67 Oh, for grace to trust Him more! 00:19:31.60\00:19:54.41 trust Him more! 00:19:54.44\00:20:01.93 Thank you Joyce and Robert for that beautiful 00:20:14.26\00:20:16.06 song. You know, boys and girls Joyce and Robert 00:20:16.28\00:20:17.97 are brother and sister and that family harmony 00:20:18.06\00:20:20.54 it just can be that. So, thank you so much for 00:20:20.63\00:20:22.87 sharing that song. Well, right now, I'm gonna 00:20:23.02\00:20:25.00 check the mail. I'm gonna see if I have any letters 00:20:25.19\00:20:27.34 from you. And I do have some letters. I'm so 00:20:27.47\00:20:30.01 excited Oh! boys and girls I love hearing from 00:20:30.18\00:20:32.43 you and today I have some letters from South 00:20:32.57\00:20:36.68 Africa and I also have Jamaica and Canada and 00:20:36.76\00:20:41.59 Arkansas and all kinds of letters. I'm so excited, 00:20:41.86\00:20:46.32 but before I read them. I want to introduce you 00:20:46.49\00:20:49.98 to a very special guest that here today. 00:20:50.01\00:20:52.40 And he is the friend of mine and his name is 00:20:52.96\00:20:54.35 Ryan Lively. Thank you, Ryan for joining me 00:20:54.65\00:20:56.94 on Kids Time. And you know, I really like 00:20:56.99\00:21:00.03 the story you were telling me about how much 00:21:00.10\00:21:02.39 you love Jesus and that you pray to Jesus. 00:21:02.53\00:21:04.52 And you don't stop praying, when you're in school 00:21:04.78\00:21:06.77 do you? Yep. So, can you tell me now at lunch, 00:21:06.82\00:21:09.00 we always say our blessing you know, in our 00:21:09.51\00:21:11.76 blessing boys and girls is what we are praying, we 00:21:12.00\00:21:14.03 ask God thanking for us food. Tell me about 00:21:14.11\00:21:18.14 what happened in school? Well, when I, 00:21:18.36\00:21:21.40 it was in kindergarten and I said, when I started 00:21:22.28\00:21:26.64 going school, I would say my blessing at 00:21:26.77\00:21:29.04 lunch and after. That when you said, you would 00:21:29.85\00:21:32.85 say your blessing at lunch. Did you bow your 00:21:32.96\00:21:34.89 head to pray? Yeah, bowed my head, close my 00:21:35.07\00:21:38.68 eyes and after a while they would start asking 00:21:38.71\00:21:42.83 me what I was doing. Your classmates. 00:21:42.86\00:21:44.77 My classmates would start asking me, what I was 00:21:45.91\00:21:47.43 doing. And what did you said? I told them that I 00:21:47.64\00:21:50.36 was saying my blessing and thanking Jesus for the 00:21:50.39\00:21:53.02 food. And they asked what that was and I 00:21:53.13\00:21:58.86 explain to him that Jesus is love and helping 00:21:59.12\00:22:01.25 me, to thank him for a food blessing their 00:22:01.28\00:22:04.05 blessings. And so that, and so this, and so after 00:22:04.28\00:22:09.25 little while later, they ask, ask me, student ask 00:22:09.40\00:22:12.99 me, could you teach me how to say the 00:22:13.13\00:22:16.06 blessing. Isn't that wonderful. 00:22:16.32\00:22:17.80 Then some more and some more and 00:22:17.83\00:22:19.90 better all my class was saying the prayer at lunch 00:22:19.93\00:22:24.89 every week. Well, praise the Lord. You see 00:22:25.12\00:22:27.05 boys and girls, it's, it's not always easy to 00:22:27.17\00:22:29.70 stand up and do the right thing. And that part 00:22:29.86\00:22:31.69 would have been really easy for Ryan to sat 00:22:31.72\00:22:33.42 there and do quickly pray with his eyes and, did 00:22:33.51\00:22:35.55 you just think in front my food so that 00:22:35.64\00:22:36.69 they wouldn't know, he was praying, right. 00:22:36.88\00:22:38.38 But instead he bowed his head you know, that 00:22:38.70\00:22:41.27 reminds me somebody in the Bible that did that. 00:22:41.45\00:22:43.10 Do you remember? Daniel that prayed out in 00:22:43.92\00:22:46.79 the open, when he wasn't supposed to be praying. 00:22:46.95\00:22:48.49 That reminds me a lot about Daniel and look 00:22:48.71\00:22:50.63 you were able to witness to all your classmates. 00:22:50.72\00:22:52.78 That is just so wonderful boys and girls. And 00:22:53.10\00:22:55.11 you can do that too that something you can do 00:22:55.14\00:22:56.99 to share Jesus. Now, there is also time on the 00:22:57.06\00:23:00.51 playground that you were able to share Jesus. 00:23:00.69\00:23:02.17 What, what happen there? Well, there was, there 00:23:02.38\00:23:07.20 was some people that were picking on this girl. 00:23:07.26\00:23:11.12 And you know, they're picking on her because she 00:23:11.46\00:23:13.96 was blind in one eye. And I, I explained to 00:23:14.01\00:23:18.92 them the, that, that's not what Jesus wants 00:23:19.31\00:23:22.76 us to do that, it's wrong to pick on people just 00:23:22.82\00:23:25.96 because they can't do something or something, 00:23:26.10\00:23:28.35 They don't look just right. 00:23:28.38\00:23:29.44 Did they stop picking on her ? No, not at 00:23:29.47\00:23:33.78 first, but then they, when they had a chance to 00:23:33.81\00:23:38.01 think about it they stopped. And then they realized 00:23:38.19\00:23:41.45 that's not what Jesus want them to do. Oh! Well, praise 00:23:42.55\00:23:45.22 the Lord and also just, there was another 00:23:45.25\00:23:48.10 situation you have had some heart surgery and 00:23:48.70\00:23:50.94 you were able to witness in the hospital that, 00:23:50.97\00:23:53.10 that you turned that your you know, misfortune 00:23:53.45\00:23:56.66 of having heart problems and to a blessing to 00:23:56.70\00:23:59.60 others how, can you tell us how you did that? 00:23:59.74\00:24:01.58 Well, when I was going to have some surgery 00:24:03.51\00:24:07.61 one time, I asked all the doctors and nurses to pray 00:24:07.80\00:24:11.16 with me and. Praise the Lord. They prayed with 00:24:11.24\00:24:14.07 me and, and, and then sometimes when I have 00:24:14.22\00:24:17.47 my checkups now they asked me about Jesus. 00:24:17.59\00:24:21.57 Oh! That's wonderful. Well, Ryan thank you, 00:24:21.95\00:24:25.15 for, for sharing your, the ways that you share 00:24:25.27\00:24:27.61 Jesus with us. I wanna, just have time for a 00:24:27.82\00:24:30.07 quick letter boys and girls. This one from South 00:24:30.31\00:24:32.12 Africa and this one says, Dear, Brenda. I love 00:24:32.25\00:24:37.81 watching Kids Time and I'm 9-years-old and 00:24:37.94\00:24:40.19 doing home school. And we live in our farm outside 00:24:40.32\00:24:43.04 Riversdale in the Western Cape of South 00:24:43.26\00:24:45.13 Africa. I love Jesus very much and I play the 00:24:45.27\00:24:48.38 trumpet. We showed that we love Jesus, when 00:24:48.57\00:24:50.82 we help a women, who couldn't fit a wheel 00:24:51.04\00:24:52.60 bar went to the boot, boot of her car. I don't 00:24:52.78\00:24:55.92 know what that is, but it says we offer to take a 00:24:55.95\00:24:58.59 home for her, in our double cab pickup. And 00:24:58.62\00:25:01.99 she was very grateful. And it says, love and 00:25:02.19\00:25:05.07 regards, regards Standor and it says, PS my 00:25:05.28\00:25:10.55 mom wrote this letter to help me, as I'm still 00:25:10.61\00:25:12.78 learning English. Well, thank you so much for 00:25:12.94\00:25:15.54 your letter. I appreciate hearing from you. And 00:25:15.59\00:25:18.63 I, I just love getting the letters from you 00:25:19.56\00:25:21.81 boys and girls. I want to thank you Ryan for 00:25:21.94\00:25:23.72 being on the program today. You have had so 00:25:23.87\00:25:25.76 many wonderful ways to witness, it sounds like 00:25:25.89\00:25:27.92 you always find a way to introduce Jesus and 00:25:28.32\00:25:30.68 wherever you go, don't you? That's right. You 00:25:30.99\00:25:32.88 know, and even with the little girl that you're 00:25:32.91\00:25:35.35 telling me about earlier, would you didn't have 00:25:35.48\00:25:38.25 a chance to share with the boys and girls, but 00:25:38.32\00:25:39.93 you stopped them from picking on her. And I 00:25:39.96\00:25:41.62 was really proud of you for that that makes 00:25:41.65\00:25:43.20 Jesus so happy boys and girls. Whenever we 00:25:43.32\00:25:46.36 stand up and do the right thing, it makes Jesus 00:25:46.64\00:25:48.88 so proud of it, doesn't it? When we have a way 00:25:49.00\00:25:51.44 of sharing him, our actions with everything we 00:25:51.47\00:25:53.72 do throughout the day, whether it's the way we 00:25:53.83\00:25:56.06 behave towards our classmates at school or if 00:25:56.47\00:25:59.17 it's the way that we, we pray in public and 00:25:59.61\00:26:01.48 we're not ashamed of Jesus, we should never be 00:26:01.60\00:26:03.64 ashamed of Jesus, shouldn't we? Well, thank 00:26:03.87\00:26:05.79 you, very much Ryan for being here. I just, 00:26:05.82\00:26:07.96 I want you to encourage you to keep on sharing 00:26:08.47\00:26:10.40 Jesus, okay. Well, that's all the time we have 00:26:10.66\00:26:13.21 today boys and girls. Remember wherever 00:26:13.47\00:26:15.05 you're, wherever you go, 00:26:15.22\00:26:16.48 remember its Kids Time to share Jesus. 00:26:16.96\00:26:19.55
