00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there,
00:07 Looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:10 It's time to share there's a world out there. 00:13 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:17 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:20 Kid's time, kid's time, kid's time. 00:25 Hi, boys and girls. Just look at this little stuff 00:27 stuffed lamb, isn't he cute? I wish you could feel 00:31 just how soft it is. You know, and maybe 00:34 you've the opportunity to have just burry 00:36 your fingers in the wolf of a little real little lamb, 00:38 if you have. You know that lambs are very, very soft, 00:43 but it's also kind of oily and very, very thick, 00:47 but very, very soft. You know, when Jesus left down 00:51 this earth. He lived in a country where 00:53 sheep and lambs were very common. 00:55 Flocks of sheep could be seen almost anywhere 00:58 on the hill side and in fields and around 01:01 people's homes and even in the cities streets. 01:04 So, everyone knew what lambs and sheep were like. 01:07 They knew that lambs were offered for sacrifices 01:11 in the temple and they knew that at least 01:13 once a year that sheep would be sheared 01:15 as people took sharp knives and cut off the wool 01:18 of the sheep just like that. You know and they 01:22 also knew that the sheeps felt and made a sound 01:24 while it was being sheared. No bleeding, 01:26 no noise, no noise at all. One day, a great preacher 01:31 who baptized people saw Jesus coming toward him. 01:33 And do you know, what he said, he said, 01:35 here is the Lamb of God who takes away 01:39 the sin of the world. 01:41 Now, the preacher's name was John. 01:44 And John went on to say, I myself have seen 01:47 and I have testified that this is the son of God. 01:51 Why do you think John would call Jesus, 01:54 the son of God a lamb? 01:57 Well, I can think of several good reasons. 02:01 One would be that Jesus would be sacrificed 02:03 for the sins of human beings just as the lamb 02:06 was sacrificed in the temple to represent 02:08 the death of sin. And another reason could be 02:12 that when Jesus stood before false accusers 02:14 he would put him to death he was quite. 02:17 Jesus didn't say anything, just as the lamb 02:21 didn't bleed when it was being sheared. 02:22 Jesus didn't argue or complaint or cry or yell. 02:26 Even thought he had every reason to do so. 02:29 You know, what I have a very special 02:32 treat for you today Ranger Jim is going 02:35 to talk to us about lambs. He is also going to talk 02:37 about donkeys and Llama too. 02:47 Hi, boys and girls Ranger Jim here saying, 02:49 welcome to a nature time. 02:50 We're glad you can join us today. 02:51 We're in High Springs, Florida at camp clock, 02:53 where we're in the nature center. And as you can see 02:56 we have several friends with us. 02:57 We've TJ and we've the Don, and we've Charles, 03:01 and we've Nanny. And Nanny is going to be telling us 03:04 something about these creatures. 03:05 Nanny, tell the boys and girls about these creatures. 03:08 The one that Chuck has here with us today is a 03:11 Corsican sheep. And the sheep is an animal 03:15 that has a little fur, it's not as furry 03:19 like the little lamb that you see, 03:20 the little white ones his fur is brown. 03:23 He has black feet and he also has a black face. 03:27 And when he gets full grown he probably weigh 03:29 anywhere from 45-50 pounds in our nature center here 03:33 we also have a big Corsican Ram that anytime 03:37 you are in our area that you can stop by and see him. 03:39 Our next animal, we're gonna talk about today is 03:43 is going to be the little Llama. 03:45 This is a three month old male. 03:47 He is a Appaloosa Llama and if you can hear him, 03:52 he is crying and right now it's his just feeding time. 03:54 And we're gonna show you how he eats. 04:02 The mother would of course, but I have this up 04:04 underneath her. And we're going to stimulate 04:06 what the mother would do? 04:09 And because its on television you see 04:11 he doesn't want to do it correctly. 04:12 Well, of course not. There we are. 04:14 Okay. No, he doesn't want to eat. 04:16 And this is the way, okay. Now, we're all shut up 04:22 that's good stuffed. Ma, okay that's enough, 04:28 yes, if he doesn't want to eat anymore 04:29 we won't bother him anymore, 04:30 if he doesn't want to eat anymore. 04:32 The Llamas get about 450 pounds and if you notice 04:36 the sore that he has on his side here. 04:38 His mother went out eating in the pasture 04:42 and she had left him for just a few minutes. 04:44 And the mothers are usually very guardians 04:46 of their babies. And with the mother 04:48 not by his side a Wallaby attacked him. 04:50 And so he is in his, his recovery time right now. 04:54 And it is almost healed. 04:55 And it's just a mostly as a skin, it toward the 04:58 skin like that, it looks much worse than it is. 05:00 Yes. But, there once again in a place like this 05:03 he gets the best veterinarian care in the world. 05:05 And he wants to be, be fully recovered. 05:06 And we can appreciate him. 05:09 And there is also, boys and girls in some countries 05:12 in South America, these animals are raised, 05:14 not only for their wool, but there are also raised 05:17 as a meat animal. Now, for some of us 05:20 that may be a little uncomfortable with that. 05:21 If you're vegetarian and one have, have you, 05:25 we must remember that there are other people 05:27 that don't believe as we do. 05:28 And there are many countries where it is necessary. 05:31 They don't have the vegetables and fruits 05:32 that are really available to us so they must use them 05:35 as food for that. So, is there anything else 05:37 that you can tell us about him, 05:39 Nanny, that other than that? 05:41 They also use, did you talked about the fur? 05:44 Nobody heard. I didn't talk about that. 05:46 Alright, his fur, they, they don't shear 05:48 these like they do sheep. 05:49 You can comb it for everyday and you will get their, 05:52 their wool they use it for rugs and for clothing. 05:55 And they also once a year you can shear them, 05:59 but in Florida, what we do as we do not 06:02 shear them in for because they can sun burn. 06:04 It is very hard here for them and so they can blister. 06:07 And so, so we don't want to shear him here. 06:13 Okay, so Llama is a wonderful animal. 06:15 It's used in many of the South American countries 06:17 as a pack animal. It can carry 80-90 pounds, 06:21 when they're in good shape. 06:22 And they have special feet, and they have their toes 06:26 and pair them the bottom like leather. 06:28 And they can walk on stone and rock and step 06:31 in small crevasses and things, where horse 06:34 or something about nature would separately fall 06:36 to its death off the clip. 06:37 And anyone is caring, but these animals are 06:39 very, very shear footed in that sense. 06:41 And so the Llama is a very, very instinct creature. 06:44 There are other creatures closely associated with him. 06:47 We have the Alpaca that's something 06:49 quiet similar to that. Now, tell us about the donkey. 06:51 What is this little creature we have here Nanny? 06:53 This is a cesarean donkey. And her name is Ruth. 06:58 And if you know, she is in her fold dress 07:01 for winter time here in Florida. 07:03 She is in her long fur. 07:06 In the summer time, she was shed this out 07:09 and she will look about half her size. 07:11 She is called a Miniature donkey. 07:13 She gets his, this she is full grown. 07:15 She probably about 25 inches high from her withers. 07:19 And withers is at her shoulders 07:21 which is right past her neck here. 07:24 Thank you, Nanny. That was very interesting 07:26 and I'm sure that the boys and girls really enjoyed it. 07:29 Boys and girls it's a thrill to see these animals 07:30 and learned about them. As I have told you 07:32 many times before our heavenly father 07:34 does it right the first time. 07:36 They are beautiful creatures and I look forward 07:38 to being in a new earth having all these pets. 07:41 Don't forget boys and girls to tell Jesus that you 07:44 love him because he really does love you. 08:09 Kiera, Mary had a little lamb. 08:12 And its name was Jesus. 08:25 Mary had a little lamb, Knows exactly who I am 08:33 It's fleece was white as snow 08:36 Mary's lamb he loves me so. 08:43 Mary's lamb he loves to stay All around and everyday 08:50 Said He never ever go Mary's lamb he loves me so 09:19 Twinkle, twinkle, morning star, 09:23 I'm so glad you who you are 09:27 Up above the world so high, 09:31 Shining from my heart too bright. 09:58 Mary's Lamb is coming soon 10:02 He wants to keep my heart in tomb 10:06 Till the day he takes me home 10:09 Mary's Lamb he loves me so. 10:13 Mary's Lamb he loves me so. 10:34 Hi, today I have a delicious recipe for you. 10:36 We're making Brown Rice Casserole. 10:38 This recipe is in honor of my Aunt Brenda and my mom 10:42 because they kind a have a reputation for being called 10:45 Dump Cooks because they never measure anything. 10:47 They just kind a through a little bit out 10:51 and through little bit lesson and, so now 10:54 I'm going to read the recipe for you. 10:55 2 cups brown rice; 2 cups carrots; 11:00 2 stalks celery, diced; 1 small onion, chopped; 11:07 1 tablespoons dried parsley; 1 tablespoon salt; 11:12 1 tablespoon McKay's chicken style seasoning; 11:16 1 can Worthington Frichik, cut up; 11:20 and 4 cups water. 11:25 Now, we're gonna start with celery 11:30 and you just go ahead and put it in 11:32 just kind a dump everything in here in there. 11:36 All of that, go ahead and put it aside. 11:43 And this is Frichik and I'm gonna use this next. 11:48 And it's got no meat products and it's made 11:51 from soy beans, it's really good for you. 11:52 And this is a can and it looks like and go ahead 11:57 and just that in. And the juice and all, you wanna, 12:04 this is already precut up and you don't wanna 12:08 throw off the juice, just go and dump the juice 12:10 in with it too. Put the rice in, 12:15 and if you don't like brown rice, you can mix 12:18 half and half of white rice and brown rice, 12:20 but I like the rice because it's, it's better for you. 12:23 I mean the brown rice, is better for you 12:24 and it's little bit crunchier, it tastes good. 12:29 Dump that in, and it doesn't matter really what order 12:32 you put this in just, just get it all in and keep 12:36 dump it in and add some salt, and this is the onion 12:43 and you don't wanna, you want the onions 12:46 to be clear after you sautéed. 12:50 You can sautéed either in the microwave 12:52 like I have done or you can do it on the stove. 12:54 And just until with a little bit of olive oil 12:58 until it's clear. Put that in, okay. 13:09 Now, I'm putting the carrots. And the dried parsley, 13:22 if you don't have dried parsley you can use 13:23 fresh parsley it will taste good either way. 13:33 And this is McKay's chicken seasoning, 13:35 it doesn't have any chicken in it, 13:37 it's just good seasoning it tastes really good. 13:45 Okay, stir it all up. Keep stirring until looks 13:59 about like this. Now, I'm gonna add the water. 14:02 And the water is pretty much just so the rice can cook. 14:06 You didn't have the water than the rice would be real. 14:09 And the rice would be real hard and crunchy 14:11 and it wouldn't cook. And stir this up. 14:14 And I don't have a pan for you 14:22 to show how to do it, but I have the finish product. 14:25 So, I will show you. You need to bake this 14:35 at 350 degrees for 1 hour to an hour and a half 14:39 or until it looks like this. The rice is just fluffy 14:43 and the liquids all absorbed. 14:45 This is makes; you've got your rice and 14:49 your vegetables and the soy bean product. 14:51 Looks pretty much and me, all you need there 14:54 is a salad or maybe some wheat bread. 14:57 All you have to do is enjoy. 14:59 So, until next time keep cooking 15:02 and eat healthy. 15:13 Well, Jacob what story would you like to hear today? 15:17 Oh, Grandpa Abraham you know, which one I want. 15:20 The one about you and father, when you almost 15:22 sacrificed him at, on the mountain right, 15:26 right, on the mountain. 15:27 Yeah, Oh! look there are your friends. 15:29 Hey, you, you don't wanna miss my grandpa's stories. 15:33 Come on over. I'm telling Jacob is about the story; 15:36 when I was asked by God to offer his father 15:38 as a sacrifice. It started a long time ago, 15:42 whenever I was visited by God while I was praying 15:46 and he promised me that I would have children 15:48 and that they would be as the sands of the sea 15:51 and as the stars of heaven. 15:53 Well, we waited and we waited. 15:56 Sarah and which was my wife and I, and 16:01 we grew faithless. And we didn't trust that 16:04 that we were gonna a chucks, 16:05 we were getting older. Well, Sarah had the idea 16:07 that I should marry her handmaid Hagar 16:10 which was an Egyptian lady. 16:11 And so out of my lack of faith, I did marry her. 16:15 Well, we had a son and his name was Ishmael, 16:18 which means God hears. 16:19 Well, later Sarah had a son too. 16:23 That was your father Isaac and we're so excited. 16:26 I was so happy when he came. And they grew up, 16:30 but there was contention between Hagar and Sarah. 16:34 And Sarah had the idea that she wanted 16:37 to send Hagar away. And so I didn't want 16:40 to send him away because Ishmael was my son, 16:44 but the Lord came to me and confronted me and said 16:48 that he would make of him a mighty nation 16:50 and that he would be with him. 16:51 So, it wasn't so hard to send him away, 16:54 but I still loved him. Well then, a few years later 16:58 God came to me again while I was praying 17:00 and he says Abraham I want you to offer your 17:04 only son Isaac in the land of Moriah 17:08 on a mountain there. Well, I went to the tent 17:12 and I woke up Isaac. And I said, come on Isaac, 17:15 let's go we're gonna offer sacrifice 17:17 on a mountain far away. And so we got up 17:20 and we went out of the tent. And I got the wood ready 17:24 and we called the couple of servants over and we, 17:28 Oh! Grandpa, did you tell grandmother 17:31 that you're going to go sacrifice 17:32 father on the mountain? 17:34 No, no I, I couldn't tell her. 17:36 See that was her only child and she waited so long 17:41 to have him that her heart was live with his heart 17:44 and I was afraid my faith wouldn't be strong enough 17:46 to go ahead and go, if she was standing on the way. 17:49 So, we went ahead on. Well, the mule was loaded, 17:54 the servants are going on. And then we headed off to 17:57 the land of Moriah. It was about a three days journey. 18:00 But I was sad all day and I couldn't sleep at night. 18:04 And, so I was praying all night 18:06 to know that God was with me in doing this. 18:09 Was grandpa, was father in the same way. 18:12 No, no Isaac he was very happy. 18:15 He had gone with me on many trips to offer sacrifices. 18:18 And he didn't know what was going on. 18:20 So he was just happy and joyful. So, he didn't know. 18:23 Well, as we got closer to the mountain. 18:27 The servants loved Isaac and they loved me also. 18:30 And I didn't, I couldn't bear to have them see 18:33 what was going to happen. So, I told them 18:37 to stay back away while I was my, me and your father 18:40 went ahead on up. And we got to the mountain, 18:44 I built a altar placed the wood on the altar. 18:47 And then I turned to Isaac your father and I said, 18:52 Isaac the lord has asked to offer you as a sacrifice. 18:55 Well, he had a look of astonishment 18:58 and fear at first, but when I explained to him 19:00 that he would be an example of how 19:01 God himself was gonna offer his son. 19:03 He grew and nobled. He thought it was an honor 19:07 that he would be able to do that. 19:08 So he encouraged me to tie his hands and to tie him 19:14 and to put him on to the altar. 19:17 Well, I went ahead and did it. 19:20 And I was about to ready to offer the, 19:23 him as a sacrifice and somebody stopped my hands. 19:25 And then I heard the angel, the Lord from heaven saying 19:28 Abraham, Abraham laid not your hand upon the lad 19:31 and do that nothing to him. For I know that you fear me. 19:34 And that you would not with hold your only son from me. 19:38 What happened then? 19:40 Well, I dropped the knife and I heard a rustling 19:41 in the thicket over to the side and a ram 19:43 was caught figured by his horns. 19:45 So, I held and got Isaac go for the altar. 19:47 I ran and got the ram tied him up, 19:49 put him out there on the altar and sacrificed him 19:53 in Isaac, your father instead. 19:56 Well, it was kind of an offering from both of us. 19:58 And because your father was so faithful 20:01 that he would be willing to sacrifice, 20:04 God there renewed his covenant with me 20:08 and your father that our sea would be 20:11 as the sand of the seashore and as the stars of heaven 20:15 and you Jacob are part of that promise. 20:18 Grandfather Abraham, I hope my love and faith 20:21 in God is as strong as yours and fathers. 20:23 Oh! I'm sure it will be. 20:25 And you kids if you accept God as your savior 20:28 and believing him with all your heart, you can be 20:31 as a little star in God's kingdom. I love you. 20:53 Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelujah, 20:57 Praise ye the Lord! Hallelu, Hallelu, 21:03 Hallelu, Hallelujah, Praise ye the Lord! 21:08 Praise ye the Lord, Hallelujah, 21:12 Praise ye the Lord, Hallelujah, 21:16 Praise ye the Lord, Hallelujah, 21:20 Praise ye the Lord! 21:32 Thank you Hailey and Jessie for that beautiful song, 21:35 'Praise ye the Lord' and you know what I always 21:37 want to praise the Lord. And she did. 23:22 So, she doesn't know Jesus. No. 23:24 And what, what did she say, when you asked her 23:27 to have worship did she kind a hesitant at first 23:29 or she just seemed really interested. 23:31 Well, she was kind of hesitant 23:33 but then she was like alright. 23:35 Oh! Good, and do you think that, she enjoyed it. 23:39 Yes. Oh! That's wonderful.
