It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:03.47\00:00:07.07 looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:00:07.10\00:00:09.75 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:10.26\00:00:13.66 let's tell them that he loves us so. 00:00:13.69\00:00:16.77 Let's tell them that he loves us so. 00:00:17.15\00:00:20.23 Kids time, kids time, kids time, kids time. 00:00:20.54\00:00:24.57 Hi, boys and girls. I'm holding in my hand 00:00:24.60\00:00:27.38 a very well known book. It was written during 00:00:27.41\00:00:30.24 World War II. Before you were even born, 00:00:30.27\00:00:32.71 but it was written by a girl not much older then you. 00:00:33.16\00:00:35.81 Her name was Anne Frank. In during World War II, 00:00:36.25\00:00:39.76 Jewish people found themselves, they were 00:00:39.79\00:00:41.94 hunted down by soldiers and police. 00:00:41.97\00:00:44.22 Even though they hadn't done anything wrong. 00:00:44.52\00:00:46.43 And if they were found they were sent away to 00:00:46.99\00:00:49.37 horrible places, where they were treated 00:00:49.40\00:00:51.58 cruelly and starved to death or killed. 00:00:51.61\00:00:54.02 Naturally, no Jewish person or Jewish family, 00:00:54.72\00:00:58.42 wanted this to happen to them. So, they tried in every 00:00:58.45\00:01:01.27 way they knew they have to avoid being found. 00:01:01.30\00:01:03.54 Anne Frank was a happy bright child. 00:01:04.65\00:01:06.98 And she loved school and had good friends. 00:01:07.38\00:01:10.27 And she like to have a good time. But, 00:01:10.67\00:01:13.11 you know what she was Jewish and the diary 00:01:13.14\00:01:16.03 she wrote tells how her life changed during the war. 00:01:16.06\00:01:18.99 She and seven other people hide from the soldiers 00:01:19.39\00:01:22.52 for two years. They hide in a small suite of 00:01:22.55\00:01:25.71 rooms over a shop. And everyday they 00:01:25.74\00:01:28.84 lived in fear that they would be discovered. 00:01:28.87\00:01:30.92 And when you get little older you might wanna 00:01:31.30\00:01:33.73 read the story because it's the special story. 00:01:33.90\00:01:36.22 The reason I told you about Anne Frank, 00:01:37.01\00:01:38.80 is that her story reminds me of another family 00:01:38.83\00:01:41.40 who had a child, we find that story in the Bible. 00:01:41.43\00:01:44.64 And this family was Hebrew. Ancestors of Jewish people 00:01:44.92\00:01:48.73 like Anne and way back in Bible times. 00:01:48.76\00:01:51.95 A King of Egypt called the Pharaoh decided to kill 00:01:51.98\00:01:55.33 Hebrew baby boys. Can you imagine that? 00:01:55.36\00:01:57.96 What would you do if you had a baby boy in your family? 00:01:58.43\00:02:01.41 Whom the king wanted to kill. As we listen to today's 00:02:01.63\00:02:04.97 story we learn about what one brave mother did, 00:02:05.00\00:02:09.40 and how God protected her baby. But, first let's learn 00:02:09.57\00:02:14.19 something about the Redwing Blackbird from Ranger Jim. 00:02:14.22\00:02:17.66 Ranger Jim here boys and girls, with a friend 00:02:25.62\00:02:27.97 Redwing Blackbird. As you can see he has 00:02:28.00\00:02:30.83 beautiful red applets on his shoulder. 00:02:30.86\00:02:32.70 Those birds who live in the colder parts of United States 00:02:33.20\00:02:35.45 and Canada, we look forward to seeing 00:02:35.48\00:02:37.07 Mr. Blackbird comeback in the spring. 00:02:37.10\00:02:38.86 Because he is a harboring of spring, we know that 00:02:39.18\00:02:41.37 soon the warm weather will come. 00:02:41.40\00:02:42.96 The black birds love to nest around water. 00:02:43.29\00:02:45.52 Not always is true, but when they can, they love to 00:02:45.55\00:02:48.11 nest around water. The males comeback in the 00:02:48.14\00:02:50.62 spring first of all to establish the territory 00:02:50.65\00:02:53.33 where they raised the family a year before. 00:02:53.36\00:02:55.27 Then the females come three weeks or a month later 00:02:55.66\00:02:58.06 knowing, where they raised a family the year before. 00:02:58.23\00:03:00.68 And she simply comes backs back to that site, 00:03:00.71\00:03:02.75 here's her husband he has reestablished that area. 00:03:03.10\00:03:05.90 Protected it from other families and so then 00:03:06.05\00:03:08.56 they are ready to begin building their nest 00:03:08.59\00:03:10.91 and producing young. Now of all the creatures 00:03:10.94\00:03:13.64 that God made, birds prove more than any other. 00:03:13.67\00:03:16.48 That it would be impossible for these creatures to 00:03:17.19\00:03:20.47 have evolved. I actually have college 00:03:20.50\00:03:23.13 level books in my library that claim that the birds 00:03:23.16\00:03:27.10 came from the large dinosaur type creatures like 00:03:27.13\00:03:30.74 alligators and things of that nature. 00:03:30.77\00:03:32.43 They are cold-blooded animals with thick heavy bones. 00:03:32.46\00:03:35.59 No, it couldn't be true. God created the birds, 00:03:35.89\00:03:38.89 their bones are hollow, very delicate. 00:03:38.92\00:03:40.97 Inside of the hollow structure there are struts much 00:03:41.21\00:03:44.75 the same that we use in construction today. 00:03:44.78\00:03:47.04 And the bird is very light in fact the bird flying 00:03:47.38\00:03:50.71 through the air is with great ease. We could 00:03:50.74\00:03:53.65 spend two hours talking about the feathers 00:03:53.89\00:03:55.98 themselves that cover the birds body. 00:03:56.01\00:03:57.83 The primary feathers or the wing feathers 00:03:58.08\00:04:00.00 that allow the birds to fly. Their digestive systems 00:04:00.03\00:04:03.96 and all of those systems is almost impossible to 00:04:04.15\00:04:06.91 imagine that someone could study birds and believe 00:04:06.94\00:04:10.12 that they all just happened. So don't you ever believe that 00:04:10.15\00:04:13.59 regards of what people tell you this beautiful creature 00:04:13.62\00:04:16.57 could come to your feeder in the coldest part 00:04:16.79\00:04:18.83 of the winter. And enjoy some food 00:04:18.86\00:04:21.27 that you have there sunflower seeds or corn, 00:04:21.30\00:04:23.57 whatever it might be and then go down to the tree 00:04:23.80\00:04:27.47 where he roosts and all of the birds have a 00:04:27.50\00:04:29.37 favorite place. And now Mr. Blackbird 00:04:29.40\00:04:31.31 doesn't enjoy this at all being on television. 00:04:31.34\00:04:33.80 But, we want to restrain him as carefully as we can, 00:04:33.94\00:04:36.37 so that you may see him and learn about him. 00:04:36.40\00:04:38.24 We place our food out and feed the birds 00:04:39.13\00:04:40.83 that he goes to roost. And he finds a nice place. 00:04:40.86\00:04:43.59 The wind maybe blowing, it maybe very cool 00:04:43.62\00:04:45.97 and snowing even and after he had a good meal 00:04:46.00\00:04:48.59 in your yard. He flies to his favorite 00:04:48.62\00:04:50.82 place, where he is going to spend the night. 00:04:50.85\00:04:52.44 Usually on a porch near the trunk of a tree, 00:04:52.97\00:04:54.90 and that's out of the wind. He has an expose to the wind 00:04:55.46\00:04:58.31 and their he stays all night. And yes it is true, 00:04:58.39\00:05:01.36 when the temperature drops and gets well below zero. 00:05:01.49\00:05:03.94 Birds do tuff their heads under their wings. 00:05:04.30\00:05:06.90 And that is because instinctively they place 00:05:07.22\00:05:09.54 it there, they are breathing air that has been, 00:05:09.57\00:05:12.60 pre-warmed passing through the feathers near their body. 00:05:12.63\00:05:15.36 That way they are not breathing air from the 00:05:15.64\00:05:17.83 open air that have ice particles in it, that would 00:05:17.86\00:05:20.23 cause moisture in their nostrils and develop 00:05:20.26\00:05:22.68 into pneumonia and so all of these things 00:05:22.71\00:05:25.55 we see are just wonderful things about birds. 00:05:25.58\00:05:28.81 Now if you are concerned and you are watching 00:05:28.84\00:05:30.69 at home that the birds beating his wings. 00:05:30.72\00:05:32.51 I'm restraining him very carefully by holding his 00:05:32.81\00:05:35.10 legs so that he can't twist sideways and injure himself 00:05:35.13\00:05:37.86 and when we are finish showing this bird 00:05:38.20\00:05:40.23 you taking it back carefully placing it get back in 00:05:40.26\00:05:42.29 the cage that we have. We will take him back 00:05:42.32\00:05:44.54 to the site, where he came from and release him 00:05:44.57\00:05:47.01 so he can go back to his normal routine. 00:05:47.04\00:05:49.63 Now remember that when we see most of these 00:05:50.15\00:05:53.06 birds his wife, is rather a dull gray with strips 00:05:53.09\00:05:56.92 and streaks on her feathers. And this guy is 00:05:56.95\00:05:59.74 so very, very obvious. He has all of the bright 00:05:59.77\00:06:02.62 wing applets and all. And why do you suppose 00:06:02.65\00:06:05.12 that God usually with all the birds made 00:06:05.15\00:06:08.03 the males more beautiful then the females. 00:06:08.06\00:06:10.47 And I sometime jokingly tell my wife, we men just 00:06:10.76\00:06:13.49 have to be humble about that. But, that's not really 00:06:13.52\00:06:16.31 true, our wonderful Jesus in his knowledge 00:06:16.34\00:06:18.84 knowing that there would be creatures that would come 00:06:18.87\00:06:21.33 in search of birds and picture this. 00:06:21.36\00:06:24.15 The mother black bird has a nest and under her 00:06:24.57\00:06:27.32 feet in the nest there are three or four tiny babies 00:06:27.35\00:06:30.40 just hatched out of the egg and your kitty cat that 00:06:30.43\00:06:33.12 you love and you feed well comes walking down 00:06:33.15\00:06:35.75 the pathway. And all morning long 00:06:35.78\00:06:38.01 Mr. Redwing, the male has been out there singing 00:06:38.04\00:06:40.50 oh, kon-ka-reeee, oh, kon-ka-reeee 00:06:40.53\00:06:43.30 and singing back and forth and 00:06:43.33\00:06:44.30 making his beautiful sounds and suddenly 00:06:44.55\00:06:46.77 he is nowhere to be seen, where she needs him. 00:06:46.80\00:06:49.45 And here comes the cat and she holds her breath, 00:06:49.87\00:06:52.53 and she sits very still and quite and you can't see 00:06:52.56\00:06:55.12 her on the nest because she is well camouflaged. 00:06:55.34\00:06:57.25 And soon a welcome song reach her because just 00:06:57.65\00:07:00.30 up off to the side she hears a familiar sound 00:07:00.33\00:07:03.12 here he is and he even flies bravely down in front of 00:07:03.32\00:07:07.82 your cat on the path about 40 or 50 feet ahead of him. 00:07:07.85\00:07:11.48 And begins to flutter his wings and sing away. 00:07:11.71\00:07:14.19 And your cat begins to stalk him. Right? 00:07:14.33\00:07:16.86 And down the path he goes have you seen the bird 00:07:17.17\00:07:19.80 with the all injured wing trick? 00:07:19.83\00:07:21.58 That's right and that's what Mr. Daddy Redwing does. 00:07:21.70\00:07:25.33 At the cat follows him further and further away 00:07:25.45\00:07:28.51 and down this path and the cat almost can catch him. 00:07:28.62\00:07:31.73 And the cat is more interested in following him 00:07:32.06\00:07:34.00 and following him. And his wife back on the nest 00:07:34.03\00:07:36.65 says, Oh! Thank you. I'm so glad he came 00:07:36.68\00:07:39.04 and down the path now three blocks from home 00:07:39.38\00:07:42.18 your cat gets a very close and almost catches him 00:07:42.51\00:07:45.04 this time, but this time Mr. Redwing flies up 00:07:45.07\00:07:47.83 on a tree and turns around he says Na Na Na Na Naa. 00:07:47.86\00:07:51.58 I fooled you this time, right and I've taken the 00:07:51.73\00:07:54.11 cat away from my family. So that's why Jesus 00:07:54.14\00:07:56.73 made all the males bright and very conspicuous. 00:07:56.76\00:07:59.92 And the females are dull colors more difficult to see 00:08:00.23\00:08:03.53 when they sit on the nest. So their once again, 00:08:03.56\00:08:06.06 always boys and girls, when we start examining 00:08:06.44\00:08:09.05 the things that Jesus made the things that were created. 00:08:09.08\00:08:12.38 We always see love. We always see his great 00:08:12.98\00:08:16.87 creative ability, who could have thought, 00:08:16.90\00:08:19.44 who could have ever conceived of having a bird jet black 00:08:19.69\00:08:22.86 with a beautiful orange and yellow applets. 00:08:23.00\00:08:25.40 That just sparkle in the sunlight. 00:08:25.43\00:08:27.58 So, anytime that you see a bird remember our friend 00:08:27.91\00:08:30.79 Ellen White has told us, all that would possible. 00:08:30.82\00:08:33.93 All that we would need, would have been possible 00:08:33.96\00:08:36.32 without the birds. But, it was because of a 00:08:36.60\00:08:38.76 loving heart. And Jesus would know 00:08:38.79\00:08:41.45 that we knew that we loved him because of the 00:08:41.89\00:08:44.09 things that he has given us. So Ranger Jim here, 00:08:44.12\00:08:46.73 again reminding you boys and girls, tell Jesus that 00:08:46.76\00:08:49.72 you love him because he really does love you. 00:08:49.75\00:08:52.86 Hi, Boys and Girls, First Corinthians, chapter 13 00:09:00.43\00:09:03.95 is known as the love chapter. Another word for love is 00:09:03.98\00:09:06.65 Agape, our text comes from verse 8 and Kiera, 00:09:06.68\00:09:10.05 will now say that for us. Love never fails. 00:09:10.08\00:09:15.96 God is love and love never fails. 00:09:16.32\00:09:18.94 God's grace abounding, good news astounding Love, 00:09:28.50\00:09:32.71 unconditionally, all that I cried for, what Jesus died for 00:09:32.74\00:09:39.40 that's God's agape to me. He loves little girls with 00:09:39.43\00:09:45.09 toothless grins. He loves little boys with 00:09:45.12\00:09:48.67 dimple chins. He loves children in a 00:09:48.70\00:09:52.23 special way. For every moment of the day. 00:09:52.26\00:09:57.37 God's grace abounding, good news astounding love, 00:09:57.40\00:10:01.86 unconditionally, all that I cried for, what Jesus died 00:10:01.89\00:10:08.50 for that's God's agape to me. He loves grandpa in his 00:10:08.53\00:10:13.98 rocking chair. He loves grandma with 00:10:14.01\00:10:17.46 her silver hair. He loves all the folks in 00:10:17.49\00:10:21.20 tiny tots. Oh! Yes, he loves us all and lots! 00:10:21.23\00:10:26.19 God's grace abounding, good news astounding Love, 00:10:26.68\00:10:30.75 unconditionally, all that I cried for, what Jesus died for 00:10:30.78\00:10:37.36 that's God's agape to me. He loves rich and poor 00:10:37.39\00:10:42.69 and old and young. He loves every race 00:10:42.72\00:10:46.23 and every tongue. He loves have it made 00:10:46.26\00:10:49.77 it very clear? That he loves 00:10:49.80\00:10:53.12 every person here, yes 00:10:53.15\00:10:55.41 he holds each person dear. 00:10:55.44\00:10:58.08 God's grace abounding, good news astounding Love, 00:10:58.58\00:11:02.57 unconditionally, all that I cried for, what Jesus died for 00:11:02.60\00:11:09.12 that's God's agape to me, that's God's agape to me. 00:11:09.15\00:11:15.54 Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, 00:11:33.92\00:11:43.10 that saved a child like me, I once was lost, but now 00:11:43.84\00:12:00.38 I'm found, was blind, but now, I see. 00:12:00.93\00:12:11.80 When we've been here ten thousand years 00:12:13.63\00:12:22.99 bird shining as the sun. We've no less days to sing 00:12:23.59\00:12:40.67 God's praise then when we've first begun. 00:12:40.70\00:12:52.81 Moses, Moses come here Moses. Don't play so close 00:13:02.87\00:13:08.27 to the river dear. There were crocodiles 00:13:08.30\00:13:10.50 in the river and they may hurt you, I wouldn't want 00:13:10.53\00:13:13.37 anything to happen to you. Come play close to me, 00:13:13.40\00:13:17.20 well that's where the river that brought you to me. 00:13:18.06\00:13:21.59 You see my father is the mighty pharaoh. 00:13:22.81\00:13:26.07 Ruler over the land of Egypt. Although, I love my father 00:13:26.46\00:13:31.60 very much, he can be a shrewd and harsh man. 00:13:31.63\00:13:37.16 Before my father became pharaoh, there was a man name 00:13:38.00\00:13:41.28 Joseph, who had found great favor with the king. 00:13:41.31\00:13:44.87 Why he made Joseph second in command over all of Egypt. 00:13:44.90\00:13:50.50 It just so happened that Joseph was an Israelite. 00:13:52.38\00:13:56.18 The son of Jacob, now a great Famine had come 00:13:56.48\00:14:00.45 upon the land and Joseph with his guards instruction, 00:14:00.48\00:14:04.84 had made provisions for food for the entire nation of 00:14:05.13\00:14:08.89 Egypt, so that the people would not starved to death. 00:14:08.92\00:14:12.75 Now it was during the great Famine that Joseph 00:14:13.67\00:14:16.80 brought his entire family from the land of Canaan. 00:14:16.83\00:14:20.55 He wanted to be near them, so that he could 00:14:21.15\00:14:24.10 take care of them. So, he wanted him right 00:14:24.46\00:14:26.84 there in Egypt with him. Now Farrow because of his 00:14:26.87\00:14:31.54 great love for Joseph. Gave Joseph family the 00:14:31.57\00:14:35.13 land of Goshen. This was the best land in 00:14:35.16\00:14:38.91 all of Egypt. Over the years their family grew very 00:14:38.94\00:14:45.11 large. Sometime after Joseph died my father became 00:14:45.14\00:14:50.44 king. You know here in Egypt, we call our kings 00:14:50.47\00:14:55.01 Pharaoh's. Now my father and his advisors were 00:14:55.04\00:14:59.41 worried that there was getting to be too many Israelites. 00:14:59.44\00:15:03.27 Why? They were afraid that the Israelites will become 00:15:03.87\00:15:07.95 stronger than Egyptians and take over the country 00:15:07.98\00:15:11.20 by force. So, my father made all the Israelites 00:15:11.23\00:15:16.77 his slaves. He set taskmasters 00:15:16.80\00:15:20.62 over them and treated them very cruel. 00:15:20.65\00:15:23.84 But, the God bless them and their families, 00:15:24.57\00:15:27.14 and they continue to grow. This made my father and 00:15:27.17\00:15:31.94 his advisors very angry. So, they came up with a plan, 00:15:31.97\00:15:37.69 a very evil plan. You know, my father 00:15:38.50\00:15:44.23 made a decree that every baby boy born to an 00:15:44.48\00:15:49.33 Israelite family was to be thrown in the 00:15:49.36\00:15:52.10 river and killed. This made me so very sad. 00:15:52.13\00:15:57.57 It was during his dreadful time that something 00:15:58.59\00:16:02.13 amazing happened. One day, I was going down 00:16:02.16\00:16:06.66 to the river to bathe. When I spotted a basket 00:16:06.69\00:16:10.43 floating in tall reeds. I was curious as to what 00:16:10.46\00:16:15.45 was in this basket? And I ask my maid to 00:16:15.48\00:16:18.75 go and bring the basket to me. When I opened the basket, 00:16:18.78\00:16:23.53 I saw the most beautiful baby inside, I loved this baby 00:16:24.24\00:16:30.62 the minute I saw him. I knew right away, 00:16:30.65\00:16:35.19 that some mother loved this baby very much. 00:16:35.47\00:16:39.33 And was trying everything she could to save her child. 00:16:40.02\00:16:44.45 I couldn't save all the other innocent babies. 00:16:46.62\00:16:50.22 But, I could save this one. I would taken to be my 00:16:50.69\00:16:56.05 very own son. As I was standing near by 00:16:56.08\00:17:00.55 the river, an Israelite girl came up to me and 00:17:00.58\00:17:03.77 offered to give me a nurse for the baby. 00:17:03.80\00:17:05.95 I told her yes, go at once. She returned bringing a kind 00:17:06.48\00:17:12.26 Israelite women. I asked her to nurse the baby 00:17:12.29\00:17:16.29 for me and I would pay her wages to do so. 00:17:16.32\00:17:19.35 I named my little boy Moses, for it means 00:17:20.32\00:17:24.78 drawn from the river. Moses lived with his Israelite 00:17:24.81\00:17:29.39 mother until he grew a little older. 00:17:29.42\00:17:31.67 Now he has come to the palace to live with me. 00:17:32.23\00:17:35.12 My father, the mighty pharaoh has not only accepted 00:17:36.13\00:17:41.09 my little boy, but he is grown to live him just 00:17:41.12\00:17:44.47 as I do. Why? My father is determined 00:17:44.50\00:17:48.87 to make Moses his successor to the throne of Egypt. 00:17:48.90\00:17:54.27 He is to get the best education in all the court of 00:17:55.38\00:17:59.94 pharaoh. I know that Moses will grow up to be a 00:17:59.97\00:18:06.26 great and mighty man. Oh! Dear, Moses 00:18:06.29\00:18:12.05 are you hungry? I thought you might be. 00:18:12.38\00:18:16.07 Why don't we go up the palace and 00:18:16.44\00:18:17.97 get something to eat. Okay. 00:18:18.00\00:18:19.77 Hi, boys and girls.
