00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there,
00:07 Looking for a friend like Jesus.
00:10 It's time to share there's a world out there.
00:13 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:17 Let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kid's time, kid's time, kid's time.
00:24 Hi, boys and girls as you can see
00:26 I have here beside a cross
00:29 and the cross has become a symbol,
00:30 very meaningful to people who love Jesus
00:33 but it wasn't always that way,
00:35 the cross used to be a symbol of death
00:37 for the worst of crimes and the most
00:39 despised criminal you can think of
00:42 would have been sentenced to death
00:43 by actually being nailed to a cross.
00:46 It was a cruel death, a slow death.
00:49 But the kind of death that the society felt
00:51 evil people deserved.
00:54 Then came Jesus, Jesus had never committed
00:57 a crime in his whole perfect life.
01:00 He had never ever done anything bad.
01:02 All he had done was love people, heal them, give
01:06 them encouragement and comfort. Now that isn't
01:08 bad is it? But Jesus was nailed to a cross
01:12 just like the worst of criminals.
01:15 Amazing thing is about this is that he let this
01:18 happen to him. He allowed himself to be
01:21 made fun of, to be called names,
01:23 be beaten and eventually killed in the
01:25 most cruel way imaginable, hanging on a cross.
01:29 You know the flies were buzzing in his open
01:32 wounds and his chest was being crushed
01:34 by his own weight. Why did he do this?
01:38 The answer's almost unbelievable.
01:41 He did it so that you and I could have
01:44 our sins forgiven and be with him
01:46 in heaven someday.
01:48 Can you believe that, he loves us so much boys
01:50 and girls, he just longs to have us
01:53 be with him. Now the cross instead
01:55 of being a symbol of shame it's a symbol of
01:58 Jesus love and a symbol of the hope that we
02:01 have of having our sins forgiven
02:02 and being with him for Jesus came out
02:05 of his grave alive after hanging on that cross.
02:10 Now, he is in heaven loving us and helping
02:12 us to live for him. know I want to live for
02:15 him each and everyday to show him how
02:18 thankful I am for what he did for me,
02:20 don't you? Now we are going to
02:22 hear about this beautiful story of Jesus
02:25 in a few moments. But for right now
02:27 lets go to Ranger Jim, he is going to share
02:30 with us another one of his talks on animals.
02:32 This time, a donkey.
02:41 Hi boys and girls, this is Ranger Jim.
02:44 We have another special friend for you
02:46 to see you today, my friend Barbara
02:48 has a beautiful creature here that
02:50 we are going to be talking about
02:51 and what kind of a creature is this anyway.
02:55 This is a Mediterranean donkey.
02:56 I see a Mediterranean donkey,
03:00 is this full size? I believe she is about as
03:03 big as she will get. And as you told me
03:07 before that she is about two years old.
03:08 Yes. Well, you have this animal
03:11 for a special reason could you tell us about
03:13 that. She is a guard donkey for the sheep.
03:15 A guard donkey. Yes.
03:17 I have heard of guard dogs.
03:18 Well, we have a guard dog also, but this is a
03:20 guard donkey and her job is to chase dogs out
03:25 of our pasture, stray dogs and coyotes,
03:28 anything that would come in, that would try
03:30 to harm the sheep. Her job is to chase them
03:32 away and she does it by instinct,
03:35 natural instinct. Well, do you mean this
03:38 animal is capable of chasing away a coyotes?
03:40 Oh, yes and stomping one if necessary,
03:44 kicking, and when she gets to the right
03:49 age she is just very young right
03:51 now but at this point she is chasing dogs
03:53 and she will chase the coyotes,
03:56 we've had other guard donkeys
03:57 that have done that and they do a very
04:01 good job of protecting.
04:02 Well, is this animal native to the US or is
04:05 it from... I don't think so, I
04:07 don't know a lot about the donkeys. I think
04:09 that she is native to the Mediterranean
04:12 area. And you spoke a
04:14 moment ago I don't know if the cameras
04:16 will show or not but she has a cross, across
04:18 her shoulders and back.
04:20 Yes, yes and legend has it this is the type
04:24 of donkey that Jesus rode when he went in
04:26 to Jerusalem on palm Sunday and I stress
04:29 again legend, that probably was a
04:32 donkey about this size I would think.
04:34 That's very interesting, I see in
04:36 her ears that she has very very heavy hair
04:39 there and that's characteristic of
04:41 animals of that part of the country where
04:43 there's lots of sand blowing and sand
04:45 storms and that affords them
04:46 protection from that and as well I note that
04:49 also that she has very prominent nose hair
04:52 and that's typical of grazing, gives them
04:55 some feeling to the grass and how
04:57 faraway they are in to that, so she is a
05:00 lovely, lovely creature and I noticed the barn
05:03 behind that is a lovely barn and looks like
05:05 quite old. Yes it is. It was built
05:08 in the 1864 - 1865 time period by my
05:11 great grandfather who came here from
05:13 Pennsylvania and he built his home and the
05:17 first big barn called the horse barn in the
05:19 manner and style of barns and homes that
05:22 are found even today in Pennsylvania. It's a
05:25 bank barn with a ramp that goes up in to it,
05:28 where the hay was stored and feed for the
05:32 animals and for the horses. And the
05:34 horses were in the large stalls underneath
05:36 on the other side, very cool stalls.
05:39 This barn has been in continuous use by our
05:42 family for four generations now.
05:44 Well, isn't that wonderful. That's just
05:46 wonderful, tell are there many working
05:49 sheep branches here in this party of the
05:50 country? Well, we call them
05:51 sheep farms around here and we don't
05:54 have, there's perhaps only one farm that is
05:58 devoted that I know of locally that's
06:00 devoted solely to sheep. We have sheep
06:04 and cattle on this farm but one of our main
06:07 enterprises is the sheep enterprise.
06:10 I forgot to ask you, does this creature
06:12 have a name? Daisy.
06:13 Well, that's what we would expect
06:15 wouldn't, to be daisy. Daisy donkey.
06:17 I see Daisy donkey and she has been a
06:19 very good girl because she is a two
06:21 year old and she is not very comfortable
06:24 around people yet and especially around
06:26 television crews and things like that but
06:28 she has been a good girl this afternoon and
06:30 Daisy, we appreciate you coming on for the
06:32 boys and girls and being such a good girl
06:34 and behaving well. So once again boys and
06:40 girls another creature that God has made for
06:43 us to see, very unusual, you don't see
06:44 many of these and I am really surprised I
06:47 have learned something this
06:48 afternoon that I didn't know that you could
06:50 use donkeys to serve as guard dogs to
06:53 protect sheep and to me that's just
06:55 wonderful but we can always learn can't we
06:58 from all of these things and I would
07:00 usually tell you that when Jesus makes
07:02 something he always does a tremendous
07:04 job. So Ranger Jim telling
07:06 you, don't forget to tell Jesus that you
07:09 love him and appreciate him
07:10 because he really does love you.
07:13 Hello, boys and girls, have ever thought
07:23 about how all of us got here?
07:25 Bethany, what does the Bible say?
07:27 In the beginning God created the heaven
07:29 and earth, Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God
07:33 created the heavens and the earth. There is
07:36 a guy by the name of Charles Darwin, who
07:37 didn't agree with that. We would like to sing
07:39 him a song. Mr Darwin, I address
07:46 you to the subject of the song.
07:49 I hope you are not offended when I tell
07:52 you that your wrong. But when you tell me
07:55 that my ancestors a flower or a tree.
08:00 Mr Darwin, I have to disagree
08:05 You said that we were slimy ones and crawl
08:10 out of the sea Though I am no
08:13 scientist I know that wasn't me
08:15 I don't know just what possessed you to say
08:18 all the things you said.
08:20 When Jesus comes, your face will sure be
08:22 red. For it was God who
08:25 formed me from the dust and gave my
08:27 body a shape, it is he that I descended from
08:31 and that's what made me. It is he that loves
08:34 me, in case you need, this much I know is
08:37 true and Mr. Darwin, Jesus Christ loves
08:40 you. I have a little dog at
08:46 home, he's got a lot to give though he is my
08:49 little friend, he is not my relative
08:52 When I go in to the zoo to look at all the
08:55 living things it is just to visit
08:57 not a family gathering.
08:59 For it was God who formed me from the
09:03 dust and gave my body a shape, it is he
09:06 that I descended from and that's what made
09:08 me. It is he that loves me, in case you need,
09:12 this much I know is true and Mr. Darwin,
09:15 Jesus Christ loves you.
09:20 I cannot condemn you for the things you try
09:23 to say All I know is you and
09:26 I were never made that way and though
09:29 my little furry friend show similarities
09:32 Lets not make a monkey out of me.
09:37 Mr Darwin, when the life and dead in
09:41 heaven's court is tried I hope you change the
09:44 tune of your sayings sometime before you
09:47 die 'Cause when Jesus
09:49 comes he is going to take his children off
09:52 the ground and you are just going to have
09:54 to stick around For it was God who
09:58 formed me from the dust and gave my
10:00 body a shape, it is he that I descended from
10:04 and that's what made me. It is he that loves
10:07 me, in case you need this much I know is
10:09 true and Mr. Darwin, Mr. Darwin, Jesus
10:16 Christ loves you. You want a banana.
10:42 I've got a home in glory land that out-
10:44 shines the sun. I've got a home in
10:47 glory land that out -shines the sun.
10:50 I've got a home in glory land that out-
10:53 shines the sun. Way beyond the blue.
10:58 Do Lord, O, Do Lord, O do remember me,
11:04 I'm asking, Do Lord, O, Do Lord,
11:07 O do remember me, I'm asking,
11:09 Do Lord, O, Do Lord, O do remember me,
11:13 Way beyond the blue. We girls are going to
11:20 heaven you boys come too
11:22 We girls are going to heaven you boys
11:26 come too. We girls are going to
11:30 heaven you boys come too.
11:31 Way beyond the blue. Thank you for the
11:38 invitation, we are coming too
11:41 Thank you for the invitation, we are
11:44 coming too Thank you for the
11:47 invitation, we are coming too
11:50 Way beyond blue. Do Lord, O, Do Lord,
11:57 O do remember me, I'm asking,
12:00 Do Lord, O, Do Lord, O do remember me,
12:04 I'm asking, Do Lord, O, Do Lord,
12:06 O do remember me, Way beyond the blue.
12:26 Well boys and girls, I've been on a long
12:29 crusade lately so I thought I take a rest
12:31 here and maybe have a chance to tell you a
12:34 very special story, something that's
12:36 happened to me. You see you might
12:40 not know me but my name is Nicodemus
12:43 and I used to be very wealthy man. I was a
12:46 leader of the Jews but something happened
12:48 to me one special night that I wanted
12:50 tell you about that changed all that.
12:53 You see there was a man that came, Jesus
12:57 Christ of Nazareth, and he came to our
13:00 little town. He had started speaking on
13:02 the hillsides around and I went to listen to
13:06 him, he was very interesting. He was
13:09 teaching like I never heard before and I
13:12 thought who is this person here. I want to
13:15 find out more about this person. Not long
13:18 after that he came to the temple one day
13:20 and started turning up tables and made a
13:23 whip and started shouting and telling
13:25 all the people to leave. Oh my, this
13:28 person is not afraid of anybody; I really got
13:31 to get to know him so I made plans to meet
13:34 this Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
13:36 So, but I thought I am a wealthy important
13:39 person I can't go talk to a poor insignificant
13:44 person, that would be too humiliating. So I
13:47 thought well, I will go at night time, so I
13:51 went off one night and I knew where he
13:55 was staying, out there with his disciples. So
13:58 I went up to him and I saw him I said, Rabbi,
14:02 teacher, we know that you are from God. No
14:05 one could do the things that you do,
14:07 lest you be from God. And he looked at me
14:10 and he said. Truly I tell you, you must be
14:14 born again. I said what? What am I
14:18 supposed to do? Mom, mom I have to
14:21 be born again. No that's not...
14:25 I can't go into my mom's tummy and be
14:28 born again. And he assured me, no that's
14:31 not what he was talking about? Not
14:34 that kind of born again. You must be
14:36 born of the water and of the spirit. That
14:40 really got my mind to thinking, what could
14:41 this mean born of the water and the spirit.
14:43 So, I started thinking the water must have
14:49 something do with John the Baptist.
14:50 'Cause John the Baptist used to
14:52 baptize everybody in the water. So, I go
14:54 yeah that means you got to change your
14:56 life and you have got to be renewed, re-
14:58 cleansed. But the spirit I didn't really
15:01 understand what that was.
15:03 So, Jesus started to talk to about the
15:05 spirit. So it's like the wind, it blows you
15:08 can't see it but it goes here and there. And
15:11 he was kind of saying, how your supposed to
15:13 be so intelligent, ruler of the Jews and all
15:16 this and you don't even understand
15:17 spiritual things and at that moment I
15:20 realized I didn't. And with me with all my
15:23 education and all my wealth this person
15:26 actually knew more than I did.
15:27 Then I wondered well, what's he going
15:30 to say next I am trying to figure this
15:32 thing out. I am not figuring out very well.
15:34 He said now you remember when
15:37 Moses lifted up the serpent in the
15:39 wilderness. And I remember that when
15:41 Moses lifted up the serpent on his staff in
15:44 the world in his, if you looked at that
15:45 serpent you got bit by a snake you wouldn't
15:47 die. So I thought wow,
15:50 that's an interesting thing to say, what
15:53 about it? He goes, so must the son of man
15:56 be lifted up? What was he talking about?
16:00 So, I thought again and then he said the
16:05 most amazing thing I ever heard. He said,
16:08 "For God so loved the world that he gave his
16:12 only begotten son that whosoever believes in
16:15 him should not perish but have ever lasting
16:18 life." I had never heard
16:21 anything like this before. Was he
16:25 suggesting to me that he was God himself,
16:28 that he was the son of man? I just was taken
16:32 back, I couldn't understand, he went
16:34 on to talk about coming to the light,
16:37 not living in darkness. Was I living in
16:40 darkness? Well, it wasn't soon after that
16:44 night that I heard the Pharisees in the
16:48 Sanhedrin council started counseling to
16:50 kill this Jesus. I said no, no, no, we
16:53 don't want to kill this Jesus. We don't know
16:56 about him, he is probably from God. I
16:59 was a little scared about what to say but
17:01 I stood up for him and I said no, we don't
17:03 want to be killing this Jesus. They were sure
17:06 abet on going out and that day they wanted
17:09 to kill him. I said no, we don't
17:11 know he is from God or not. So, I thought
17:17 well, what can I do to keep them from
17:20 killing him. Well, I am going to stand up
17:23 for him until I've really decided what I
17:25 think about him and one day I came to the
17:28 temple, what would you know they are
17:31 planning. They have already given
17:34 permission to kill him, and he is being
17:37 killed at that very moment. I said what, I
17:39 ran out of the temple. I went through the
17:41 city and town and all the people are
17:43 crowded up to the little hill of Golgotha
17:46 and there on the hill raised up is Jesus
17:50 nailed to a cross. And all of a sudden I
17:53 realized the words that he said that night
17:56 that I met with him, if I be lifted up like the
18:00 serpent in the wilderness I will draw
18:03 men unto me and at that moment I
18:07 realized he was the Messiah, he was the
18:10 son of God and I gave my heart to him and I
18:14 was filled with peace at that moment and I
18:16 realized that all this wealth and this fame,
18:19 this knowledge meant nothing to me.
18:21 I wanted to spread this good news of
18:24 what Jesus had meant and I realized that
18:27 what that born again meant that I would re-
18:29 give my life over to him and that I would
18:33 not be living in this world anymore but in
18:36 the spiritual world and that's when I
18:38 started selling my fancy clothes, giving
18:41 my wealth to help the disciples.
18:43 I met Peter and James and John. I helped
18:46 them, I started giving money to them and
18:48 find the other Christians and we
18:50 started spreading this good news around
18:52 and that's what I am doing today.
18:54 I go from place to place, sharing my
18:57 wealth with whoever I can, helping them and
19:00 telling about that night that I met Jesus
19:02 and what he said to me.
19:04 And I think its now about time that I
19:06 would be moving on, so I have to say
19:09 goodbye boys and girls. It was nice
19:10 talking to you and I hope that someday
19:13 you'll realize those words re-born again.
19:16 Bye, bye now. Will see you later.
19:37 O'Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary
19:43 Pure and holy, tried and true
20:25 With thanksgiving, I'll be a living Sanctuary for You
21:06 I've Been Redeemed (I've been redeemed)
21:09 By the Blood of the Lamb (By the blood of the Lamb)
21:12 I've been redeemed (I've been redeemed)
21:15 By the blood of the Lamb I've been redeemed by
21:20 the blood of the Lamb Saved and sanctified I am
21:25 All my sins are washed away
21:34 I've been redeemed I've Been Redeemed
21:36 (I've been redeemed) By the Blood of the Lamb
21:39 (By the blood of the Lamb) I've been redeemed
21:42 (I've been redeemed) By the blood of the Lamb
21:45 I've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb
21:48 Filled with the Holy Ghost I am
21:52 All my sins are washed away, I've
22:07 been redeemed. I've Been Redeemed
22:10 (I've been redeemed) By the Blood of the Lamb
22:15 (By the blood of the Lamb) I've been redeemed
22:16 (I've been redeemed) By the blood of the Lamb
22:19 I've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb,
22:22 Filled with the Holy Ghost I am
22:25 All my sins are washed away, I've been redeemed.
22:30 Thank you for that beautiful song I've
22:50 been redeemed. Well boys and girls its
22:53 mailbox time and I am going to check the
22:54 mailbox to see if I have any letters from
22:56 you. I do have some letters in here; I really
23:00 enjoy reading your letters so much.
23:02 I have a letter from Michigan and Idaho
23:06 and California, before I read them I would
23:09 like you to meet a friend of mine that I
23:10 have asked to join me today on sharing time
23:12 I would like you to meet Kaylie.
23:13 Hi Kaylie. Hi.
23:14 Thank you for joining me today.
23:16 Thank you, I am glad to be here.
23:17 Oh! I am glad you're here too. I asked you
23:19 to come because I know that you love
23:21 Jesus and you are a witness even in your
23:24 own home to your own friends. Can you
23:25 tell the boys and girls how you can be a
23:27 witness to your friends? Yes, when my friends
23:32 come over and they spend a night or they
23:34 just come over for a day and they want to
23:36 do different things like watch a certain
23:39 movie that is unacceptable for kids
23:44 to watch and different things like that, I just
23:47 asked them if they wanted to watch
23:49 different movie like one about Jesus or...
23:52 Some of these that you have right here.Yes.
23:55 You've got one right here that who is Jesus
23:59 and now when you wanted to watch a
24:00 Bible video what did your friends say, they
24:01 don't know, I don't want to watch that or you...
24:03 Well, they usually give it a chance and if
24:06 they don't like it, they will just start doing
24:08 something else, but they usually give it
24:11 one chance and so when they spend a
24:15 night with me, we have worship and
24:19 then we go into the normal thing which
24:23 worship for us is just singing and...
24:26 We're talking about worshiping God
24:28 right?Yes.Okay Well, we sing and we
24:31 read the Bible in different devotions
24:34 and then we pray and we go into our normal
24:40 routine which is studying the Bible or
24:43 doing our sabbath lesson which is about
24:46 the Bible and then we. Your friends think
24:50 you're pretty weird to be doing this or are
24:52 they kind of interested in.
24:55 Well, they most of the time like to do what
24:57 they want to do if they come over and
24:59 watch what I'm doing and read it with me
25:01 and there is a game with everyone to help
25:04 you learn and they always enjoy doing
25:06 that with me and sometimes they have
25:13 different coloring pages, so I give them
25:15 one and they really enjoy like to do that
25:17 and so. Do your friends do
25:19 you think want to learn more about
25:20 Jesus. Yes, they really enjoy
25:23 that and they want to have more of it they
25:25 want to come over more and they enjoy
25:27 doing it and so they always want to come
25:30 to church with me and I am always glad to
25:32 bring them. Praise the Lord, you know
25:34 boys and girls that's the way it is
25:36 when we witness, the Holy Spirit takes over
25:39 and he is gonna do the rest. So you have to do
25:41 your part just don't ever stop telling
25:44 someone about Jesus, I think I have time
25:46 just to read one letter right here and I am gonna
25:48 see if I have time right here maybe
25:51 if you hold out some pictures for me Kaylie
25:53 that they drew while I am reading the letter,
25:55 it says dear Brenda, I enjoy kids time
25:58 because you show us good snacks to make,
26:00 I love kids time and I share Jesus, your
26:03 friend Alicia. And then another letter in
26:06 the same envelope says dear Brenda, my
26:08 name is Britney and I love kids time and I
26:11 love Jesus, love Britney. Wasn't that
26:13 sweet and then she drew us two little
26:16 pictures here and one is Alicia and one is Britney
26:18 wasn't that sweet. Well that's all
26:20 the time we have today boys and girls,
26:22 thank you so much Kaylie for coming
26:24 and sharing your story of how you witness to
26:26 your friends. Boys and girls don't forget
26:28 to tell Jesus that you love him and
26:30 remember its kids time to share Jesus.
