It's time to share there is a world out there 00:00:03.31\00:00:06.56 looking for a friend like Jesus, 00:00:06.93\00:00:09.64 it's time to share there is a world out there. 00:00:09.88\00:00:13.31 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:13.34\00:00:16.38 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:16.92\00:00:17.89 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:00:20.23\00:00:24.43 Hi, boys and girls, do you know what 00:00:24.46\00:00:26.28 kind of animals this is that I'm holding? 00:00:26.31\00:00:28.15 Yes, it's rooster, some of you have seen 00:00:29.64\00:00:32.75 real live roosters, haven't you? 00:00:32.78\00:00:34.72 And perhaps some of you have never seen 00:00:35.55\00:00:37.55 one except in a picture. Rooster is a male chicken 00:00:37.58\00:00:41.44 and these birds often have beautiful feathers 00:00:41.98\00:00:45.13 and seem to be pretty proud of themselves. 00:00:45.16\00:00:47.46 I wanna set Mr. Rooster right there you know 00:00:47.88\00:00:51.29 they strut around and showing off and saying to 00:00:51.32\00:00:54.57 all the hens look at me, look at me, 00:00:54.60\00:00:56.56 I'm so handsome, I've just got to crow about it 00:00:56.99\00:01:00.88 and then he crows ears splitting sound that echoes 00:01:01.30\00:01:06.17 around the farm yard or any kind of chicken coop, 00:01:06.20\00:01:09.94 cock-a-doodle doo. He seems to say, 00:01:09.97\00:01:13.14 you know rooster especially like to crow 00:01:13.53\00:01:15.52 early in the morning waking up to everyone around 00:01:15.55\00:01:18.14 to start a new day. You can't sleep in late 00:01:18.17\00:01:20.77 when you got a rooster around, did you know that 00:01:20.80\00:01:23.80 a story in the Bible talks about a rooster crowing 00:01:23.83\00:01:26.32 and did you know that it made at least two people 00:01:26.67\00:01:29.75 very sad to hear its harsh cry. We're going to hear 00:01:29.78\00:01:33.94 a story about a man called Peter and a rooster 00:01:33.97\00:01:37.12 gave him a guilty conscience. 00:01:37.43\00:01:40.03 But first Ranger Jim has something 00:01:40.36\00:01:42.69 very special to show you. 00:01:42.72\00:01:44.28 Hi, boys and girls Ranger Jim 00:01:52.85\00:01:54.19 we have something for this afternoon, 00:01:54.22\00:01:55.88 I bet you have never seen before. 00:01:55.91\00:01:57.17 This is a little frightening is it not, 00:01:57.56\00:01:59.20 can you see these big teeth. 00:01:59.53\00:02:01.26 I hope the camera shows, so that you can see 00:02:02.16\00:02:04.22 row after row after row of teeth. 00:02:04.25\00:02:06.51 They are the future generations when the shark 00:02:06.54\00:02:08.93 should break a tooth in the front the one behind 00:02:08.96\00:02:11.90 it moves into position and the shark 00:02:11.93\00:02:13.85 doesn't miss a beat. You can see that this 00:02:13.88\00:02:16.36 creature is very definitely a very 00:02:16.39\00:02:19.26 dangerous predator, because of a movie 00:02:19.58\00:02:22.09 on the great white shark called Jaws most all 00:02:22.12\00:02:25.80 of the sharks around the world have received 00:02:25.83\00:02:27.95 a bad name and that they're all dangerous. 00:02:27.98\00:02:30.51 This is not true, this is not to say that 00:02:30.82\00:02:33.00 we shouldn't take precautions that 00:02:33.03\00:02:35.16 we shouldn't swim at beaches where we have 00:02:35.19\00:02:36.68 lifeguards and things of that nature. 00:02:36.71\00:02:38.38 But they are very, very few people that are injured 00:02:38.72\00:02:42.26 by sharks, in fact I've read statistics just 00:02:42.29\00:02:44.49 this week that state that you are more apt to die 00:02:44.52\00:02:47.99 from choking on your own food at your table 00:02:48.02\00:02:50.89 then you are from a being attacked by a shark. 00:02:50.92\00:02:53.40 So the great white shark is the largest of the sharks 00:02:53.64\00:02:57.02 that we have. That are considered dangerous 00:02:57.05\00:02:59.31 to human beings and they are as large as or larger 00:02:59.34\00:03:02.27 than a school bus. They may weight 12,000 pounds, 00:03:02.30\00:03:05.43 the sharks are special creatures as you can see 00:03:05.46\00:03:08.65 with all of these teeth they are not mounted 00:03:08.68\00:03:11.18 in the bones of the jaw of the fish, 00:03:11.21\00:03:13.65 but in very tough cartilage and so these creatures 00:03:13.68\00:03:18.02 feed on others but there is something special about 00:03:18.05\00:03:21.66 the sharks also. With others creatures that live 00:03:21.69\00:03:24.32 under water, the fish that are able to breathe water 00:03:24.35\00:03:27.13 and pass it over their gills and absorb the oxygen 00:03:27.16\00:03:30.19 from the water, the shark doesn't have that, 00:03:30.38\00:03:32.70 he has gills, but the shark cannot pump the water 00:03:32.73\00:03:35.42 over his gill this is in the general sense 00:03:35.45\00:03:37.50 and so the shark must continue to move about, 00:03:37.53\00:03:40.46 to pass the water over as he swims. 00:03:41.11\00:03:43.25 Another thing about the shark he doesn't have 00:03:43.58\00:03:45.33 a buoyancy bladder, all other fishes have a float 00:03:45.36\00:03:48.77 inside of him, that helps them to be buoyant 00:03:48.80\00:03:51.46 in the water that is to adjust their height 00:03:51.49\00:03:53.36 up and down, to be comfortable, 00:03:53.39\00:03:55.28 to stay relaxed in one position. 00:03:55.31\00:03:57.54 The shark does not have that, the only flotation 00:03:57.94\00:04:00.72 devices the shark has is his liver that produces 00:04:00.75\00:04:03.81 great quantities of oil and the shark's liver may 00:04:03.84\00:04:07.14 constitute a forth of his body weight. 00:04:07.41\00:04:10.04 So for a shark that weighs 12,000 pound. 00:04:10.07\00:04:13.99 That's a lot of liver isn't? But even that doesn't 00:04:14.02\00:04:16.58 give him buoyancy, so if a shark stops swimming, 00:04:16.61\00:04:18.93 he will slowly settle to the bottom. 00:04:18.96\00:04:20.98 So, the shark's life, he is continually swimming 00:04:21.01\00:04:23.62 back and forth and back and forth. 00:04:23.96\00:04:25.67 Now, for boys and girls that live in North America 00:04:25.70\00:04:29.66 most of them have never seen a shark, 00:04:29.69\00:04:31.29 but we're sure that they'll be boys and girls 00:04:31.32\00:04:33.24 who will review this that see sharks each time 00:04:33.27\00:04:36.24 that perhaps go to the sea shore. 00:04:36.27\00:04:38.05 So, we thought that we would include some 00:04:38.08\00:04:39.99 of the things that they might see. I was reading, 00:04:40.02\00:04:42.55 there was a very curious thing to me, 00:04:42.58\00:04:43.83 the biologists were examining the stomach 00:04:44.28\00:04:46.56 contents of a large shark and can you believe that 00:04:46.59\00:04:49.57 they found one man's shoe. 00:04:49.60\00:04:51.37 They also found a glove and they found someones 00:04:52.11\00:04:55.43 driver's license and most astonishing of all 00:04:56.08\00:04:59.79 was they found a small chicken coop 00:04:59.82\00:05:02.17 and it contained the feathers and the bones 00:05:02.20\00:05:04.81 of chickens these was all in the shark's stomach, 00:05:04.84\00:05:08.10 is that not incredible. So another one of those 00:05:08.13\00:05:10.97 creatures that God made that we sometime 00:05:11.00\00:05:13.08 are astonished by, but the shark even though 00:05:13.11\00:05:15.71 he does feed on other fishes 00:05:16.00\00:05:17.74 and creatures of sea. He is a very, very 00:05:17.77\00:05:20.19 interesting creature. Now, I would like to combined 00:05:20.22\00:05:22.82 that with another thing that we have to show 00:05:22.85\00:05:24.37 you this afternoon. And if you go for a hike on 00:05:24.40\00:05:27.08 Sabbath afternoon and it was one of our favorite 00:05:27.11\00:05:29.28 things that our children like to do. 00:05:29.31\00:05:30.74 You may see in the fall of the year something 00:05:31.08\00:05:33.23 like this. You will see a tree and quite often 00:05:33.26\00:05:35.79 they're growing at an angle to the ground 00:05:35.82\00:05:37.38 dustily and someone comes along that's wearing 00:05:37.41\00:05:41.08 this on his head. Okay, these are the antlers 00:05:41.11\00:05:44.80 of the white-tailed deer, this is the very 00:05:44.83\00:05:47.13 large specimen, weigh over 230 pounds 00:05:47.16\00:05:49.84 and what happens when he sheds his antlers 00:05:49.87\00:05:52.61 each year and in the Spring they began to grow 00:05:52.64\00:05:54.52 we called that the velvet. The deer is in the velvet 00:05:54.91\00:05:58.38 their veins or blood vessels and these section 00:05:58.41\00:06:01.48 of the horn as it develops and slowly as the horn 00:06:01.51\00:06:04.65 develops it gets hardens and those bloods vessels 00:06:04.68\00:06:07.49 retreat and close off until eventually all 00:06:07.52\00:06:10.16 there's left is the remnant of that velvet 00:06:10.19\00:06:12.39 and so that itches much the same as, 00:06:12.42\00:06:15.26 you maybe have a cut and when it begins to heal, 00:06:15.50\00:06:17.58 it always will itch and that's what happens 00:06:17.61\00:06:19.80 to a buck, so he finds a tree like this 00:06:19.83\00:06:21.80 and he comes up and puts his head down, 00:06:21.83\00:06:23.60 he begins to do that and he pushes the tree 00:06:23.63\00:06:26.16 back and forth. And he pretends he is fighting 00:06:26.19\00:06:28.43 another buck and he will do that and jam his head 00:06:28.46\00:06:30.53 against it and in doing that he polishes 00:06:30.56\00:06:32.85 all of the velvet off of his antlers. 00:06:32.88\00:06:35.34 So, you keep an eagle eye when you go out 00:06:35.37\00:06:37.95 in the fall of the year and even anytime the year 00:06:37.98\00:06:40.26 you go out you may see something that's all 00:06:40.29\00:06:41.93 scraped up like this if it's in the hot summer time 00:06:41.96\00:06:44.74 it will be dry. But about October you will see 00:06:44.77\00:06:48.30 fresh grapes on them and do you may see high up 00:06:48.33\00:06:51.67 on a tree the bigger the buck the higher 00:06:51.70\00:06:53.44 he can reach and the more he will fight that 00:06:53.47\00:06:55.44 and so he enjoys doing that and I have also 00:06:55.47\00:06:57.96 seeing bucks fighting each other, very seldom 00:06:57.99\00:07:00.41 do they inflict any damage, but they're sparring 00:07:00.44\00:07:02.73 back and forth and testing their strength 00:07:02.76\00:07:04.44 against each other and pushing against the tree 00:07:04.47\00:07:06.98 and then fighting as boys will sometimes scuffle 00:07:07.01\00:07:09.12 and play on the school ground. So we've had 00:07:09.15\00:07:11.24 two things this afternoon to talk about 00:07:11.27\00:07:12.86 and they're worlds apart, one lives in the 00:07:12.89\00:07:15.28 deep depths of the ocean, the salt water. 00:07:15.31\00:07:17.82 The other, the white-tailed deer that 00:07:17.85\00:07:19.66 lives in the meadows and the woodlands all across 00:07:19.69\00:07:23.13 North America and much many others part 00:07:23.16\00:07:26.00 in the world not the white-tailed deer 00:07:26.03\00:07:27.14 but the equivalent of that and so remember 00:07:27.17\00:07:29.65 that deer do not have horns they have antlers 00:07:29.68\00:07:32.21 because they shed them every year. 00:07:32.24\00:07:33.59 We have mountain goats and big horn sheep 00:07:33.62\00:07:37.12 and things of that nature that do not shed 00:07:37.15\00:07:38.96 their horns. But this is a continual process 00:07:39.01\00:07:41.72 these are shed early in the spring if you're fortunate 00:07:41.75\00:07:44.06 to go out in the woods on a walk or a hike. 00:07:44.09\00:07:46.22 You may find these where the buck is bumped 00:07:46.25\00:07:48.52 against something and they pop off of the 00:07:48.55\00:07:50.43 rose bud here on his head. So, we have learned today 00:07:50.46\00:07:53.69 that the white-tailed deer that when the velvets 00:07:53.72\00:07:56.11 coming off of his antlers that he scratches against 00:07:56.14\00:07:58.74 the tree to remove that and that polishes 00:07:58.77\00:08:01.58 his antlers and makes them beautiful as we see 00:08:01.61\00:08:03.99 them here and we have also discussed the shark. 00:08:04.02\00:08:08.48 And his equipment for survival how 00:08:08.90\00:08:11.00 God has equipped him, so in both cases boys and girls 00:08:11.03\00:08:14.25 we have learned once again of the wonderful creator 00:08:14.28\00:08:17.24 God that equips all of this creatures to survive 00:08:17.27\00:08:19.56 in their environment. So, we can just praise his holy 00:08:19.59\00:08:22.60 name for his creative abilities and there is 00:08:22.63\00:08:25.38 always you remember to tell Jesus that 00:08:25.41\00:08:28.31 you love him and appreciate him because 00:08:28.34\00:08:30.84 he most certainly does love you. 00:08:30.87\00:08:32.91 How are you boys and girls? 00:08:41.92\00:08:43.05 When Jesus was on earth, some of his best 00:08:43.08\00:08:45.58 friends were fishermen, but he told them 00:08:45.61\00:08:48.16 you're not gonna catch fish anymore. 00:08:48.39\00:08:50.04 You're gonna catch boys and girls, 00:08:50.44\00:08:52.21 men and women for me, what did he say Andrew? 00:08:52.24\00:08:54.78 "Come and follow me, Jesus said and I will make 00:08:54.81\00:08:57.41 you fishers of men " Matthew 4:19. 00:08:57.44\00:09:00.28 Jesus said come follow me 00:09:01.15\00:09:02.52 and I will make you fishers of men. 00:09:02.55\00:09:04.40 I will make you fishers of men, 00:09:13.11\00:09:16.37 Fishers of men, fishers of men, 00:09:16.40\00:09:19.88 I will make you fishers of men, 00:09:20.34\00:09:23.59 If you follow Me. 00:09:23.62\00:09:26.27 If you follow Me, if you follow Me, 00:09:27.35\00:09:33.95 I will make you fishers of men, 00:09:34.53\00:09:38.14 If you follow Me. 00:09:38.17\00:09:41.02 Hear Christ calling Come unto Me 00:09:42.20\00:09:45.29 Come unto Me Come unto Me 00:09:45.67\00:09:48.97 Hear Christ calling Come unto Me 00:09:49.00\00:09:52.52 I will give You rest I will give You rest 00:09:52.55\00:09:59.00 I will give You rest 00:09:59.70\00:10:02.53 Hear Christ calling Come unto Me 00:10:03.69\00:10:06.85 I will give you rest 00:10:06.88\00:10:09.76 I will make you fishers of men, 00:10:11.16\00:10:14.26 fishers of men, fishers of men, 00:10:14.29\00:10:17.76 I will make you fishers of men, 00:10:18.16\00:10:21.28 If you follow Me. 00:10:21.31\00:10:23.92 If you follow Me, if you follow Me, 00:10:24.67\00:10:31.02 I will make you fishers of men, 00:10:32.54\00:10:35.37 If you follow Me. 00:10:35.40\00:10:38.25 Well, welcome back to kid's kitchen 00:10:47.37\00:10:49.71 and we're cooking, are we cooking? 00:10:49.74\00:10:54.08 What are we making? I used to be a fishermen, 00:16:25.22\00:16:28.23 though I haven't fished now for a very long time, 00:16:28.26\00:16:30.42 you see I became a disciple of a man 00:16:30.92\00:16:33.09 called Jesus. Jesus of Nazareth, 00:16:33.12\00:16:35.32 Jesus was our long awaited Messiah 00:16:36.54\00:16:38.88 and I followed him for three years, 00:16:39.06\00:16:41.08 as I followed Jesus my faith in him became very, 00:16:41.90\00:16:45.27 very strong. He was a wonderful man, 00:16:45.30\00:16:47.60 he brought so much joy into the world. 00:16:47.63\00:16:49.48 I saw him do many, many wonderous things, 00:16:50.05\00:16:52.44 I saw him heal the sick they were bringing 00:16:52.51\00:16:55.40 the sick in from all over our country 00:16:55.43\00:16:57.23 and Jesus would only touch him 00:16:57.26\00:16:58.59 and they would be healed out of sickness. 00:16:58.62\00:17:01.15 He would have people that couldn't walk, 00:17:01.34\00:17:03.55 all he had to do was say rise and walk 00:17:03.58\00:17:06.43 and they would walk. As I said I followed Jesus 00:17:06.46\00:17:09.98 for several years and I saw him doing many things, 00:17:10.01\00:17:13.40 one thing that stands out the most in my mind, 00:17:14.12\00:17:16.82 one night as we were having supper. 00:17:17.74\00:17:19.48 Jesus announced us, to all the disciples 00:17:19.76\00:17:23.34 he said that the time would come that 00:17:23.95\00:17:25.75 we will ashamed of him, never we all said you 00:17:25.78\00:17:29.34 listen and especially I was quick to defend myself, 00:17:29.37\00:17:32.54 I said Lord I would die for you, 00:17:32.57\00:17:34.73 I thought to myself doesn't he remember 00:17:35.02\00:17:37.37 that I give up everything in my life 00:17:37.40\00:17:39.64 I give up my business, my fishing business, 00:17:39.67\00:17:42.89 my nets, my boat. Just to follow him 00:17:42.92\00:17:45.41 and I don't think he remembered, 00:17:46.87\00:17:48.17 but never the less he said that the time would come 00:17:48.52\00:17:50.78 that I would deny him three times he said. 00:17:50.81\00:17:52.80 I can never believe that I defended myself 00:17:53.65\00:17:55.93 against him, saying Lord you know I would die 00:17:55.96\00:17:57.61 for you. Right after supper, we went out to pray 00:17:57.64\00:18:02.94 in the Garden of Gethsemane and unknowing to us, 00:18:02.97\00:18:07.49 one of my own brother had betrayed Jesus already 00:18:08.62\00:18:11.46 to the Chief Priest Caiaphas, 00:18:11.49\00:18:13.19 and as we were coming out of the garden, 00:18:14.20\00:18:16.12 we could see a mob approaching us, 00:18:16.51\00:18:18.48 they were very loud they had clubs 00:18:18.92\00:18:21.02 and they were screaming towards us 00:18:21.37\00:18:23.35 and as they came towards us one of our 00:18:23.38\00:18:25.40 own brethren Judas, he came up to the Master, 00:18:25.43\00:18:28.57 to our Lord Jesus and kissed him, 00:18:28.60\00:18:30.51 that was his sign of betrayal. 00:18:30.84\00:18:32.40 As soon as he kissed him, the guards took Jesus 00:18:33.65\00:18:37.07 and he took him prisoner and they hold them away 00:18:37.46\00:18:39.40 at a home of Caiaphas, the chief priest. 00:18:39.43\00:18:41.51 We followed around and we went into the 00:18:43.95\00:18:46.80 courtyard to see what was going on 00:18:46.83\00:18:48.36 and the charges that would be brought against him 00:18:48.39\00:18:50.33 and as we were standing there one of the 00:18:50.36\00:18:52.10 servant girl she approached me and pointd right at me 00:18:52.13\00:18:55.16 and said this man, he was a follower of Jesus, 00:18:55.35\00:18:57.93 I denied her, I said no, you don't know 00:18:57.96\00:19:00.26 what you're talking about, I've never seen Jesus. 00:19:00.29\00:19:02.59 And as I walked away and I mingled in the crowd, 00:19:03.73\00:19:05.98 yet another servant girl came up and said 00:19:06.01\00:19:08.47 this man he was with the Jesus of Nazareth, 00:19:09.25\00:19:11.85 I saw with my own eyes oh! I became quite angry 00:19:12.17\00:19:15.47 and I yelled and I cursed and I denied 00:19:15.50\00:19:17.42 and I would say I don't even know the man 00:19:17.45\00:19:18.88 and the cock crowed once and as I stood up 00:19:19.28\00:19:23.47 and I went around the courtyard 00:19:23.50\00:19:25.16 and I went and mingled with some other people, 00:19:25.19\00:19:26.94 again one of the servants came up and said 00:19:27.72\00:19:30.45 I have seen this man, I've seen this man myself, 00:19:30.48\00:19:32.79 he was a follower of Jesus of Nazareth, 00:19:32.82\00:19:34.97 oh! I became so very angry, I even cursed out 00:19:35.31\00:19:38.33 loud and denied him quite vehemently, 00:19:38.36\00:19:40.78 I said no, I don't even know the man. 00:19:41.10\00:19:43.02 You must be crazy woman I said 00:19:43.30\00:19:45.39 and just then a rooster crowed again 00:19:46.99\00:19:50.13 a second time. Just as Jesus is predicted that 00:19:50.16\00:19:53.53 I would deny him three times that very night. 00:19:53.56\00:19:55.69 I've never forgotten the shame that 00:19:56.99\00:19:59.81 I felt for seeing my love for Jesus and my faith 00:19:59.84\00:20:03.63 I had him and yet I had denied him as 00:20:03.66\00:20:06.18 he had predicted. I ran and I wept I found a corner 00:20:06.21\00:20:10.59 of the repent and I could not be consoled, 00:20:10.62\00:20:12.91 I have denied the very man that I loved, 00:20:13.14\00:20:15.34 that I've given my whole life for. 00:20:15.37\00:20:17.13 And I have denied him as he had said, 00:20:17.64\00:20:19.32 I know now that Jesus has forgiven me, 00:20:22.26\00:20:24.44 oh yes he forgive me all. I know this, 00:20:24.81\00:20:29.04 as Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate, 00:20:29.52\00:20:32.47 the governor of Judea, he was a Roman magistrate 00:20:32.50\00:20:35.14 and being accuse falsely by all the chief priests 00:20:36.71\00:20:39.75 and the Jews. Jesus was brought before Pilate 00:20:39.78\00:20:43.72 and found guilty, they made up a bunch of lies 00:20:43.75\00:20:47.27 about him.
