00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there
00:07 Looking for a friend like Jesus 00:10 It's time to share there's a world out there 00:13 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:17 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:20 Kids time, kids time, kids time. 00:25 Hi, boys and girls. You know what this is, don't you? 00:29 You're right, it's a gavel. 00:32 But it's a wooden gavel, 00:33 the kind that a judge uses in a courtroom. 00:35 Sometimes here she uses it to say case closed 00:39 and sometimes the bang of a gavel says, come to order. 00:43 And sometimes the judge bangs 00:45 the gavel to say I've made my decision. 00:49 This person is guilty and sometime 00:52 the bang of the gavel says this person is innocent. 00:55 You know, a courtroom is an important place 00:58 and a jury or judge makes the decisions 01:01 that affect people for the rest of their lives. 01:04 Now people go to court for many reasons. 01:07 Sometimes it's simply to, you known, 01:09 get a piece of paper to prove 01:11 that the piece of property belongs to them. 01:14 Or it might be for happy reason like 01:16 finalizing the adoption of a child. 01:18 It can even be the settle an argument between neighbors. 01:22 But at other times the person appears in a courtroom, 01:25 because he or she has been accused of a crime, 01:28 of doing something that is against the law. 01:31 Now when the gavel in that courtroom becomes 01:33 very, very important, doesn't it? 01:35 Because well you have to find out 01:38 where the bang of the gavel give the person freedom 01:41 proclaiming his or her innocence, 01:43 or will it come down with the heavy farther 01:46 says guilty, guilty, guilty. 01:49 You know, one of the worst things that can happen 01:51 it's for a judge or jury to make a mistake. 01:54 Once in a while that does happen. 01:56 And an innocent person is proclaimed guilty 02:00 for something that they didn't do. 02:02 That would be awful, wouldn't it? 02:04 You know in our Bible story today, 02:06 we'll hear about an innocent man 02:08 who was judged guilty 02:10 and the judge proclaimed him guilty, 02:11 even though he knew he was innocent. 02:14 Do you think you know the story? 02:16 You can read about it in the Bible, 02:17 in the Book of Matthew Chapter 27 verses 15 through 26. 02:23 And even better read the whole Chapter Matthew 27. 02:27 It's a wonderful true story, 02:29 one that shows how much, Jesus, loves us. 02:32 You know what now, Ranger Jim, 02:34 is going to tell us about that a white-tailed deer. 02:44 Hi, boys and girls. Ranger Jim, here saying 02:45 once again welcome to Nature Time. 02:47 We're glad you're with us. 02:48 This is my friend over here, Debbie. 02:51 And could you show us about your deer. 02:52 Tell the boys and girls, something about the deer, 02:54 is it a white-tailed deer? 02:56 These are white-tailed deer, Jim. 02:57 And they came in last spring 03:00 and the reason they are not released, 03:02 they are human imprinted. 03:03 People mistake these guys as being abandoned 03:07 and they're never abandoned. 03:08 Mother usually just hide some and lead some, 03:11 while she goes and grazes during the day. 03:14 And so I hear people say you quite often, 03:16 they say we found this beautiful little fawn 03:18 that their mother deserted and I tell them only 03:21 human parents sometime desert children, deer never do. 03:24 Right, the only time that they will run off and leave 03:27 their babies is when they're crossing highways 03:30 and they're getting ready to have their babies, 03:33 and then a car spokes them. 03:35 And then they drop the baby and they'll just keep going. 03:39 Well, these then were last spring, 03:40 so they're almost yearlings now. Yes. 03:43 And I see this fellow have some little nubs 03:45 on the top of his head that tells us 03:47 he is going to be daddy dear right. 03:49 Absolutely, this is a buck and we-- 03:52 actually they can have 8, 10, 12, 14 points. 03:56 Like this. They are very much. 03:57 How do they run to the woods? 03:59 Very careful. Very fast. 04:01 Right, and this fellow would be what, 04:05 he would properly get to be-- 04:07 a maximum maybe 200 pound when he got to be an adult. 04:09 Probably round 175 to 200 yes. 04:13 And boys and girls, when the doe has her first baby, 04:17 it's usually just a single. 04:19 But in the year following that if she is healthy 04:21 she will have two and possibly even three 04:23 or maybe four on a rare occasion. 04:26 How does she feed them taking turn? 04:28 Well, I tell you what, the, Lord, 04:29 has provided her a way to take care 04:32 of that milk and keep them all up. 04:34 And she is strong and healthy and she is able to do that. 04:36 We live, my wife and I live in southern lower Michigan, 04:39 where we have a tremendous supply of deer. 04:42 In fact, they're so thick boys and girls. 04:44 Ranger Jim has electric fence round our garden, 04:47 because nothing deer enjoy in the wild, 04:49 enjoy more than going along where Ranger Jim's 04:52 beans are coming up and they pick them off one at a time 04:55 right up the road, they will eat everyone of them. 04:58 And they also love my wife's new tulip plants. 05:00 When they get up about this high 05:02 and so they can be destructive 05:04 and many crops they can destroy your 05:06 soybean fields and corn fields and things like that. 05:09 But they are delight to have around. 05:11 When we placed, we built our new home, 05:13 I run some water pipe down 05:15 to the garden to have water for the garden. 05:18 And I also made an artificial spring and a bird bath, 05:21 so the deer come there to drink fresh water 05:23 and, Ranger Jim, just happens to put out a salt block, okay. 05:27 And we have them come there and it is a delight. 05:30 Yeah, it is a delight to see two or three baby fawns. 05:33 They're on the backyard and we have people come to your home 05:35 from Sabbath school or church and they sit there 05:38 lately afternoon and watch those baby deer 05:41 rush back and forth and have a good time 05:43 and they sit there thinking, oh what a joy, 05:46 it must be something like heavens going to be 05:48 to observe them unafraid and we had our dear lady, 05:51 a friend of my wife that had, hadn't-- 05:53 she hadn't seen for over eight or ten years 05:55 and she came to church one Sabbath 05:57 and my wife invite her and said 05:58 why don't you and your friend 05:59 just come and spend the evening with us 06:01 and stay overnight and leave tomorrow. 06:03 And she said, well, I think that would be a good idea. 06:05 And so I told them we had to go to bed I told them, 06:08 now if there deer in the backyard in the morning 06:09 I will call you and so you get up and see them 06:12 and so sure enough the next morning just after day break 06:15 here was two does and there were six fawns. 06:19 Both of the does had triplets. 06:20 And so I went knocked on the bedroom door 06:22 and I said we have deer in the backyard 06:25 and so the lady got up and she came out, 06:27 the other lady was behind her, 06:29 when she saw the deer we had the deck, 06:32 they open the backdoor, open to the back deck. 06:34 The lady went running right out on the back deck 06:37 and she said oh look at all these beautiful deer, run. 06:42 Because all the deer of course started pleading 06:44 for their life, because she come running out there. 06:46 Anything else you could tell us about this thing? 06:48 One more thing when you see a white-tailed deer 06:51 and observe the deer out in the wild, 06:53 if you see that tail go up, that gives all the other deer 06:56 a signal that it's, there's danger 07:00 in the territory and they all just flee. 07:03 And they make a certain sound boys and girls. 07:04 If I can make it for you, you do it by expelling air suddenly, 07:07 if you're out in the woods and you hear this sound, 07:10 deer make it by blowing though their nose, 07:12 I do it by mouth like this and it's sound like this. 07:19 If you had been watching everyone of these deers, 07:20 they stopped instantly with their ears in the air, 07:23 that's a danger single, that's like a beaver 07:25 slapping the water with their tail. 07:27 And so in nature, boys and girls, 07:29 we find every one of these things. 07:32 God has provided a way of survival 07:34 and a way of escape and with deer 07:37 it is the ability to run through the forest, 07:39 they can run to the trees and the bush, 07:41 faster than any other creature that God made. 07:43 I was talking a little while with Debbie 07:45 about a buck running through the bush. 07:46 I have seen a 10-point buck that weighs 200 pound 07:49 running with his head tip pack on the back of his head, 07:52 so his antlers are not so high running through the woods, 07:54 you can't imaging how fast they can run. 07:57 So that is their escape, they can run through the woods 07:59 and escape from their enemies. 08:00 These fawns when they were three days old 08:03 could jump over the average size fence 08:05 on a farm and follow their mothers. 08:07 So studying any of these creatures especially these 08:09 beautiful graceful creatures. 08:11 We find once again that God provided every thing 08:14 that they would need to survive and in that new earth 08:16 it will be joy to have deer as pet also. 08:19 We're gonna have lots of pets, aren't we? 08:20 Ranger Jim does, you're gonna have pets in heaven? 08:22 Absolutely, one of every kind. One of every kind. 08:25 So you can look for our house, 08:26 when Debbie and Jim's house that's gonna be 08:29 animals every where boys and girls. 08:31 Hey, boys and girls, don't forget to tell, Jesus, 08:33 you love Him, because He really does love you. 08:44 Hello, boys and girls. 08:45 That old devil can sure make you mad sometimes, 08:48 but we do not have to fall, right Michelle? 08:51 No way because James 4:7 says, 08:54 "Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you." 08:59 Yes, boys and girls, 09:00 we can resist the devil and he will flee. 09:02 Jenifer Jill, wrote a wonderful song 09:04 and we'd like to sing it for you now. 09:10 It's a cold, dark world and a narrow path 09:15 Every boy and girl feels the pain 09:20 When temptation comes, there's a hope I have 09:25 I remember One felt the same 09:31 And Jesus said, "No, no, no, no, no" 09:35 to Satan and "Yes, yes, yes," to God Jesus said, 09:38 "No, no, no," to all temptation as the narrow way He trod 09:43 But Jesus took my, my, my, my flesh 09:46 upon Him and lived without a sin 09:49 So I could say "No, no, no, no, no," 09:52 to the devil and "Yes, yes, yes," to Him. 09:59 Lift your weary eyes, oh you struggling child 10:04 For the God we serve was a man 10:10 There are stormy skies and the wind is wild 10:15 But if Jesus stood, then you can 10:21 And Jesus said, "No, no, no, no, no" 10:24 to Satan and "Yes, yes, yes," to God Jesus said, 10:28 "No, no, no," to all temptation as the narrow way He trod 10:33 But Jesus took my, my, my, my flesh 10:36 upon Him and lived without a sin 10:39 So I could say "No, no, no, no, no," 10:42 to the devil and "Yes, yes, yes," to Him. 10:45 And Jesus said, "No, no, no, no, no" 10:48 to Satan and "Yes, yes, yes," to God Jesus said, 10:51 "No, no, no," to all temptation as the narrow way He trod 10:56 But Jesus took my, my, my, my flesh 10:59 upon Him and lived without a sin 11:02 So I could say "No, no, no, no, no," 11:04 to the devil and "Yes, yes, yes," to Him. 11:12 Yes we can say no, no, no, to the devil and yes to Jesus. 11:24 Mistress, why do you look so distressed? 11:26 Oh! Little maid, if only Pilate would have listened to me, 11:30 if only he had heeded the warning. 11:33 Why did he have to give in to the crowd? 11:37 You see I'm the wife of, 11:38 Pontius Pilate, the Roman Governor of Judaea. 11:42 My husband was worried about 11:44 loosing his position in the empire 11:46 and the very thing he worried about happened. 11:51 Let me tell you the story. 11:53 There was a man called, Jesus, 11:55 who traveled about the whole region of Palestine, 11:58 teaching anyone who would listen about 12:00 love and kindness to your fellow man. 12:04 He would heal all those who came to Him and believed on Him? 12:08 He even raised the dead. 12:12 Oh, it was so wonderful to hear the stories 12:16 when the people talked, I would listen. 12:19 And later I would tell the stories to, Pilate. 12:23 Many people believed in, Jesus, 12:25 and they followed Him thinking He was a prophet. 12:30 Their priests becomes so jealous of Him 12:33 that they set about to have Him killed. 12:39 That's were, Pilate, comes into the story. 12:43 It was a law in Rome that only a Roman official 12:48 had the power to have someone executed. 12:54 So they brought, Jesus, to, Pilate. 12:57 What did he do? 12:59 Well, at the trial, it was very early in the morning 13:02 I had not yet awakened. 13:06 God sent a massage in a dream to me 13:10 to warn me about what was to happen. 13:16 Oh, the dream, it was so wonderful and so awful, 13:20 it will forever be in my memory. 13:23 The first I was able to talk to, Jesus. 13:27 I was able to see Him and I knew 13:31 that He was an innocent and just man. 13:34 I knew that He was the Prince of God. 13:38 If only my dream had stopped there, 13:40 but it didn't, it became really awful. 13:46 I saw, Jesus', hands tightly bound like a criminal. 13:51 That's terrible? And I saw, Herod, 13:54 the king of Judea and his soldiers mocking, 13:57 Jesus, laughing at Him and beating Him. 14:01 I saw their priest shouting and accusing, Jesus, 14:06 saying we have a law and by our law He must die. 14:12 Now, Pilate, he knew, Jesus, was innocent 14:15 and three times he tried to get 14:18 the people to ask for, Jesus, release. 14:22 But they wouldn't listen instead they asked 14:26 for the release of, Barabbas, who is a murderer. 14:31 They scream so loud for, Jesus', death, 14:34 that, Pilate, become afraid, they would start a riot. 14:38 And so even thou he said I find no fault in Him. 14:43 Pilate turned, Jesus, over to be flogged and crucified. 14:51 I saw, Jesus, lifted up on the cross 14:54 at a place outside the city called Golgotha. 14:59 I saw the sky turned dark as night with no moon, no stars. 15:06 I heard the mysterious cry "It is Finished." 15:14 Then I saw, Jesus Christ, 15:16 sitting on the great white cloud. 15:19 I saw the earth really in space 15:21 and his murderers run to hide from His presence. 15:26 Oh, I woke with this dream of horror. 15:30 And immediately I send word to, Pilate, 15:34 have nothing to do with this just man. 15:37 But I was suffered terribly in a dream 15:40 because of Him this morning. 15:43 The messenger carrying the note to, Pilate, 15:46 push through the crowd and gave it to him. 15:49 Pilate was very afraid when he read it. 15:53 But still he thought that if he washed his hands 15:58 and said I'm not guilty of this man's blood 16:03 that he wouldn't feel guilty. 16:05 The people screamed, oh, let His blood be on us. 16:10 But you know, Pilate, gave in, 16:14 Jesus, was crucified and He lost his position in, Rome, 16:20 became so depressed. 16:24 I am sorry for, Pilate. 16:28 But me, I'm so thankful that, God, 16:32 loved me enough to sent me this warning to talk to me 16:36 even thou I wasn't a believer, or follower of Him. 16:40 You know, God, loves you too, 16:43 and He will send a massage to you. 16:45 He will talk to you, if you just listen. 17:00 [Music] 19:48 Thank you, Jonathan Lodenkamp family, 19:49 for that beautiful song, we really enjoyed it. 19:52 But today I've asked a very special friend 19:55 to come today and join me on Sharing Time. 19:57 His name is, Marc, and here he is right now. 20:00 Come on in, Marc. Okay. 20:01 Thank you for coming today. You're welcome. 20:04 Would you mind looking at our mail box 20:05 to see if we have any mail? Sure. 20:08 So its mailbox time boys and girls 20:10 and I love getting letters from you. 20:13 Do we have anything in there? Yes. 20:14 Oh! Looks like we do. 20:16 Oh, wonderful, we'll have sit down 20:18 and read some of these together. 20:20 But before we do, I asked you here to share 20:23 with the boys and girls at home, 20:24 how you share, Jesus, can you do that for me? 20:27 Sure, you see I started a project that was called, 20:30 Steps to Christ, and all you need to do this-- 20:35 Now when you say, Steps to Christ, 20:37 does that mean, now that's little booklets 20:39 that are, Steps to Christ? Yes. 20:41 And it tells all about, Jesus, in the booklet. 20:43 Yes, so it also cost money in order to sent them all. 20:48 So you want to send, Steps to Christ, 20:50 to who you're gonna send them too. 20:52 I was gonna send them to three cities. 20:54 The whole city? Three cities. 20:58 So what I did was use my birthday money I got, 21:02 plus also my, my pop cans and bottles 21:05 which I recycled it to get cash 21:08 in order to do this project. Wow! 21:12 And you said something about laptop, computer. 21:15 Were you tempted to spend that money on laptop computer? 21:18 Well, yes of course I did want to 21:21 but I guess I thought that, Steps for Christ, 21:24 project was more important than a laptop. 21:27 Sounds like you love, Jesus, very much. 21:29 So how many, Steps to Christ, did you actually sent out? 21:34 I have no clue. But quite a few, 21:37 if you went to every address in three cities. 21:41 That's must have been a lot of, Steps to Christ. 21:44 You should see how many pop cans I had at home. 21:47 Wow! That's wonderful. 21:50 You know, I think you did shared, Jesus, 21:52 in a very special way, because when those people 21:55 get the book, those the books in the mail, 21:58 they are going to read about, Jesus, aren't they? 22:00 And then, you know, what we need do, 22:01 we need to have a especial prayer that, Jesus, 22:03 blesses all those books and sends His Holy Spirit 22:06 to touch those lives of those people. 22:08 So, maybe boys and girls, at home I want you to pray too 22:11 that God will bless the, Steps to Christ, 22:12 that Marc sent out. 22:14 Well, also I had a teacher, I was in fourth grade. 22:18 I saw her one morning having the booklet right in her hand. 22:21 You did? Yes. 22:23 And she wasn't a Christian? 22:26 She was a Christian, but I guess she didn't, 22:28 she wasn't an Adventist quite yet. 22:31 So you were teaching about Jesus? 22:33 Oh wonderful, well, I've got some letters here. 22:36 You want to help me and we'll open up a few 22:38 and see what we've got here. 22:41 Let's see, I'll open this one. 22:44 I love getting your letters boys and girls. 22:46 Keep writing and telling me how you shared, Jesus. 22:48 Oh look, can you hold this picture up for the camera. 22:51 And this says, dear Brenda, I went to an assisted 22:56 living with my adventure club and I like to see them 22:59 smile when we're singing to them, love Timothy. 23:02 I love Kids Time. 23:04 Oh thank you very much Timothy. 23:06 Can I have some, now what letter do you have over there. 23:09 Okay, oh, that one looks like the good one 23:11 right over there from, where is that from? 23:15 Let's see, that state it's from, okay, 23:18 I can hardly read the writing on that. 23:21 Alabama. 23:22 Okay, let's take that and may be you can 23:24 open another one over there for me. 23:26 Oh, you know what, I'm gonna put you to 23:27 work on the picture up. 23:29 we've got a picture, I love the pictures 23:30 boys and girls, says dear Brenda, 23:32 I love, Jesus, very much and, Brenda, when someone comes 23:35 over to my house I'm not selfish with my toys, 23:38 that's how I shared, Jesus, your friend Chantey. 23:41 Well, thank you Chantey. 23:43 You know, it never it's a good thing to be selfish, is it. 23:46 So we do want to share, Jesus, by being unselfish. 23:49 And take her picture and put it back over here. 23:51 I think we have time for a couple more, that's good. 23:55 Oh, you know what, we've got another picture. 23:58 How about just if you could hold that picture 24:00 right up there, so they can see that. 24:02 It says, dear Brenda, I know how they help others 24:05 and you can tell about, Jesus, well, that's how I help others. 24:08 And I took flowers to my 80-year-old friend Dart. 24:11 Brenda, please sent me a book, love Loren. 24:14 Well, thank you, Loren, I'll be happy to send you a book. 24:17 And thank you for writing and telling me 24:19 how you shared Jesus, wasn't that nice? 24:21 Do you have another letter over there for me Marc? 24:24 Okay, what letter do we have here. 24:26 Okay and my name is, Miranda, 24:29 and she is from Tontitown, Arizona, I think. 24:32 Okay, it says, dear Brenda, my name is, 24:34 Miranda, and I'm 11-years-old. 24:36 I love Kids Time and it gives me time to think about Jesus. 24:40 Me and my friends like to play outside 24:41 and enjoy God's wilderness, 24:43 He has made for us, love Miranda. 24:45 PS, I have three brothers, two dogs, 24:47 and two birds and I like to sing. 24:52 Well, that was nice, wasn't it? 24:54 Do you have another letter over there ready? 24:57 Where this one from? 24:58 This one is, his name is Nathan but-- 25:02 We have that one in here. 25:04 Let's see what, Nathan, has to say. 25:07 It says, dear Brenda, I share, Jesus, 25:10 by passing our Bible stories to people 25:13 that don't know Him, love Nathan. 25:15 Well, you know what, that, it does show, Jesus, doesn't it? 25:18 We want to tell everybody to know about Jesus, 25:20 don't we because that what, Jesus, 25:22 wants us to do is to share Him. 25:24 You have another letter there, where is this one from? 25:28 Okay, it doesn't give a surname, but, 25:32 it says Saint, it's from Saint-- 25:35 Let's see.
