It's time to share there's a world out there 00:00:03.61\00:00:07.47 Looking for a friend like Jesus 00:00:07.48\00:00:10.33 It's time to share there's a world out there 00:00:10.34\00:00:13.79 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:00:13.80\00:00:17.25 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:00:17.26\00:00:20.62 Kids time, kids time, kids time. 00:00:20.63\00:00:25.30 Hi, boys and girls. You know what this is, don't you? 00:00:25.31\00:00:28.06 You're right, it's a gavel. 00:00:29.25\00:00:32.07 But it's a wooden gavel, 00:00:32.08\00:00:33.26 the kind that a judge uses in a courtroom. 00:00:33.27\00:00:35.95 Sometimes here she uses it to say case closed 00:00:35.96\00:00:39.48 and sometimes the bang of a gavel says, come to order. 00:00:39.49\00:00:43.71 And sometimes the judge bangs 00:00:43.72\00:00:45.67 the gavel to say I've made my decision. 00:00:45.68\00:00:49.40 This person is guilty and sometime 00:00:49.41\00:00:52.52 the bang of the gavel says this person is innocent. 00:00:52.53\00:00:55.48 You know, a courtroom is an important place 00:00:55.49\00:00:57.98 and a jury or judge makes the decisions 00:00:57.99\00:01:01.17 that affect people for the rest of their lives. 00:01:01.18\00:01:04.05 Now people go to court for many reasons. 00:01:04.06\00:01:06.31 Sometimes it's simply to, you known, 00:01:07.58\00:01:09.60 get a piece of paper to prove 00:01:09.61\00:01:11.58 that the piece of property belongs to them. 00:01:11.59\00:01:14.14 Or it might be for happy reason like 00:01:14.15\00:01:16.11 finalizing the adoption of a child. 00:01:16.12\00:01:18.79 It can even be the settle an argument between neighbors. 00:01:18.80\00:01:22.24 But at other times the person appears in a courtroom, 00:01:22.25\00:01:25.46 because he or she has been accused of a crime, 00:01:25.47\00:01:28.18 of doing something that is against the law. 00:01:28.19\00:01:31.43 Now when the gavel in that courtroom becomes 00:01:31.44\00:01:33.86 very, very important, doesn't it? 00:01:33.87\00:01:35.90 Because well you have to find out 00:01:35.91\00:01:38.37 where the bang of the gavel give the person freedom 00:01:38.38\00:01:41.31 proclaiming his or her innocence, 00:01:41.32\00:01:43.80 or will it come down with the heavy farther 00:01:43.81\00:01:46.21 says guilty, guilty, guilty. 00:01:46.22\00:01:49.15 You know, one of the worst things that can happen 00:01:49.16\00:01:51.64 it's for a judge or jury to make a mistake. 00:01:51.65\00:01:54.51 Once in a while that does happen. 00:01:54.52\00:01:56.52 And an innocent person is proclaimed guilty 00:01:56.53\00:02:00.25 for something that they didn't do. 00:02:00.26\00:02:02.17 That would be awful, wouldn't it? 00:02:02.18\00:02:04.96 You know in our Bible story today, 00:02:04.97\00:02:06.65 we'll hear about an innocent man 00:02:06.66\00:02:08.28 who was judged guilty 00:02:08.29\00:02:09.98 and the judge proclaimed him guilty, 00:02:09.99\00:02:11.77 even though he knew he was innocent. 00:02:11.78\00:02:14.36 Do you think you know the story? 00:02:14.37\00:02:16.52 You can read about it in the Bible, 00:02:16.53\00:02:17.88 in the Book of Matthew Chapter 27 verses 15 through 26. 00:02:17.89\00:02:22.97 And even better read the whole Chapter Matthew 27. 00:02:22.98\00:02:27.43 It's a wonderful true story, 00:02:27.44\00:02:29.40 one that shows how much, Jesus, loves us. 00:02:29.41\00:02:32.56 You know what now, Ranger Jim, 00:02:32.57\00:02:34.12 is going to tell us about that a white-tailed deer. 00:02:34.13\00:02:36.82 Hi, boys and girls. Ranger Jim, here saying 00:02:44.02\00:02:45.87 once again welcome to Nature Time. 00:02:45.88\00:02:47.66 We're glad you're with us. 00:02:47.67\00:02:48.81 This is my friend over here, Debbie. 00:02:48.82\00:02:51.00 And could you show us about your deer. 00:02:51.01\00:02:52.68 Tell the boys and girls, something about the deer, 00:02:52.69\00:02:54.43 is it a white-tailed deer? 00:02:54.44\00:02:56.26 These are white-tailed deer, Jim. 00:02:56.27\00:02:57.96 And they came in last spring 00:02:57.97\00:03:00.25 and the reason they are not released, 00:03:00.26\00:03:02.25 they are human imprinted. 00:03:02.26\00:03:03.67 People mistake these guys as being abandoned 00:03:03.68\00:03:07.61 and they're never abandoned. 00:03:07.62\00:03:08.81 Mother usually just hide some and lead some, 00:03:08.82\00:03:11.84 while she goes and grazes during the day. 00:03:11.85\00:03:14.79 And so I hear people say you quite often, 00:03:14.80\00:03:16.61 they say we found this beautiful little fawn 00:03:16.62\00:03:18.37 that their mother deserted and I tell them only 00:03:18.38\00:03:21.30 human parents sometime desert children, deer never do. 00:03:21.31\00:03:24.56 Right, the only time that they will run off and leave 00:03:24.57\00:03:27.85 their babies is when they're crossing highways 00:03:27.86\00:03:30.58 and they're getting ready to have their babies, 00:03:30.59\00:03:33.21 and then a car spokes them. 00:03:33.22\00:03:35.39 And then they drop the baby and they'll just keep going. 00:03:35.40\00:03:39.12 Well, these then were last spring, 00:03:39.13\00:03:40.95 so they're almost yearlings now. Yes. 00:03:40.96\00:03:43.76 And I see this fellow have some little nubs 00:03:43.77\00:03:45.89 on the top of his head that tells us 00:03:45.90\00:03:47.49 he is going to be daddy dear right. 00:03:47.50\00:03:49.38 Absolutely, this is a buck and we-- 00:03:49.39\00:03:52.28 actually they can have 8, 10, 12, 14 points. 00:03:52.29\00:03:56.00 Like this. They are very much. 00:03:56.01\00:03:57.35 How do they run to the woods? 00:03:57.36\00:03:59.07 Very careful. Very fast. 00:03:59.08\00:04:01.39 Right, and this fellow would be what, 00:04:01.40\00:04:05.49 he would properly get to be-- 00:04:05.50\00:04:07.11 a maximum maybe 200 pound when he got to be an adult. 00:04:07.12\00:04:09.94 Probably round 175 to 200 yes. 00:04:09.95\00:04:13.56 And boys and girls, when the doe has her first baby, 00:04:13.57\00:04:17.83 it's usually just a single. 00:04:17.84\00:04:19.72 But in the year following that if she is healthy 00:04:19.73\00:04:21.59 she will have two and possibly even three 00:04:21.60\00:04:23.80 or maybe four on a rare occasion. 00:04:23.81\00:04:26.09 How does she feed them taking turn? 00:04:26.10\00:04:28.60 Well, I tell you what, the, Lord, 00:04:28.61\00:04:29.84 has provided her a way to take care 00:04:29.85\00:04:32.07 of that milk and keep them all up. 00:04:32.08\00:04:34.30 And she is strong and healthy and she is able to do that. 00:04:34.31\00:04:36.85 We live, my wife and I live in southern lower Michigan, 00:04:36.86\00:04:39.76 where we have a tremendous supply of deer. 00:04:39.77\00:04:42.20 In fact, they're so thick boys and girls. 00:04:42.21\00:04:44.65 Ranger Jim has electric fence round our garden, 00:04:44.66\00:04:47.01 because nothing deer enjoy in the wild, 00:04:47.02\00:04:49.66 enjoy more than going along where Ranger Jim's 00:04:49.67\00:04:52.56 beans are coming up and they pick them off one at a time 00:04:52.57\00:04:55.25 right up the road, they will eat everyone of them. 00:04:55.26\00:04:57.99 And they also love my wife's new tulip plants. 00:04:58.00\00:05:00.57 When they get up about this high 00:05:00.58\00:05:02.67 and so they can be destructive 00:05:02.68\00:05:04.39 and many crops they can destroy your 00:05:04.40\00:05:06.53 soybean fields and corn fields and things like that. 00:05:06.54\00:05:09.52 But they are delight to have around. 00:05:09.53\00:05:11.89 When we placed, we built our new home, 00:05:11.90\00:05:13.95 I run some water pipe down 00:05:13.96\00:05:15.94 to the garden to have water for the garden. 00:05:15.95\00:05:18.06 And I also made an artificial spring and a bird bath, 00:05:18.07\00:05:21.49 so the deer come there to drink fresh water 00:05:21.50\00:05:23.88 and, Ranger Jim, just happens to put out a salt block, okay. 00:05:23.89\00:05:27.96 And we have them come there and it is a delight. 00:05:27.97\00:05:30.40 Yeah, it is a delight to see two or three baby fawns. 00:05:30.41\00:05:33.38 They're on the backyard and we have people come to your home 00:05:33.39\00:05:35.95 from Sabbath school or church and they sit there 00:05:35.96\00:05:38.73 lately afternoon and watch those baby deer 00:05:38.74\00:05:41.34 rush back and forth and have a good time 00:05:41.35\00:05:43.78 and they sit there thinking, oh what a joy, 00:05:43.79\00:05:46.40 it must be something like heavens going to be 00:05:46.41\00:05:48.19 to observe them unafraid and we had our dear lady, 00:05:48.20\00:05:50.99 a friend of my wife that had, hadn't-- 00:05:51.00\00:05:53.41 she hadn't seen for over eight or ten years 00:05:53.42\00:05:55.74 and she came to church one Sabbath 00:05:55.75\00:05:57.14 and my wife invite her and said 00:05:57.15\00:05:58.65 why don't you and your friend 00:05:58.66\00:05:59.90 just come and spend the evening with us 00:05:59.91\00:06:01.49 and stay overnight and leave tomorrow. 00:06:01.50\00:06:03.18 And she said, well, I think that would be a good idea. 00:06:03.19\00:06:05.70 And so I told them we had to go to bed I told them, 00:06:05.71\00:06:08.27 now if there deer in the backyard in the morning 00:06:08.28\00:06:09.89 I will call you and so you get up and see them 00:06:09.90\00:06:12.67 and so sure enough the next morning just after day break 00:06:12.68\00:06:15.41 here was two does and there were six fawns. 00:06:15.42\00:06:19.13 Both of the does had triplets. 00:06:19.14\00:06:20.89 And so I went knocked on the bedroom door 00:06:20.90\00:06:22.74 and I said we have deer in the backyard 00:06:22.75\00:06:25.12 and so the lady got up and she came out, 00:06:25.13\00:06:27.55 the other lady was behind her, 00:06:27.56\00:06:29.79 when she saw the deer we had the deck, 00:06:29.80\00:06:32.29 they open the backdoor, open to the back deck. 00:06:32.30\00:06:34.96 The lady went running right out on the back deck 00:06:34.97\00:06:37.23 and she said oh look at all these beautiful deer, run. 00:06:37.24\00:06:41.29 Because all the deer of course started pleading 00:06:42.53\00:06:44.40 for their life, because she come running out there. 00:06:44.41\00:06:46.93 Anything else you could tell us about this thing? 00:06:46.94\00:06:48.43 One more thing when you see a white-tailed deer 00:06:48.44\00:06:51.18 and observe the deer out in the wild, 00:06:51.19\00:06:53.31 if you see that tail go up, that gives all the other deer 00:06:53.32\00:06:56.94 a signal that it's, there's danger 00:06:56.95\00:07:00.31 in the territory and they all just flee. 00:07:00.32\00:07:02.99 And they make a certain sound boys and girls. 00:07:03.00\00:07:04.77 If I can make it for you, you do it by expelling air suddenly, 00:07:04.78\00:07:07.82 if you're out in the woods and you hear this sound, 00:07:07.83\00:07:09.98 deer make it by blowing though their nose, 00:07:09.99\00:07:12.04 I do it by mouth like this and it's sound like this. 00:07:12.05\00:07:15.23 If you had been watching everyone of these deers, 00:07:19.17\00:07:20.90 they stopped instantly with their ears in the air, 00:07:20.91\00:07:23.13 that's a danger single, that's like a beaver 00:07:23.14\00:07:25.71 slapping the water with their tail. 00:07:25.72\00:07:27.92 And so in nature, boys and girls, 00:07:27.93\00:07:29.72 we find every one of these things. 00:07:29.73\00:07:32.05 God has provided a way of survival 00:07:32.06\00:07:34.62 and a way of escape and with deer 00:07:34.63\00:07:37.20 it is the ability to run through the forest, 00:07:37.21\00:07:39.40 they can run to the trees and the bush, 00:07:39.41\00:07:41.30 faster than any other creature that God made. 00:07:41.31\00:07:43.70 I was talking a little while with Debbie 00:07:43.71\00:07:45.09 about a buck running through the bush. 00:07:45.10\00:07:46.61 I have seen a 10-point buck that weighs 200 pound 00:07:46.62\00:07:49.30 running with his head tip pack on the back of his head, 00:07:49.31\00:07:52.41 so his antlers are not so high running through the woods, 00:07:52.42\00:07:54.89 you can't imaging how fast they can run. 00:07:54.90\00:07:56.99 So that is their escape, they can run through the woods 00:07:57.00\00:07:59.46 and escape from their enemies. 00:07:59.47\00:08:00.71 These fawns when they were three days old 00:08:00.72\00:08:03.50 could jump over the average size fence 00:08:03.51\00:08:05.23 on a farm and follow their mothers. 00:08:05.24\00:08:07.19 So studying any of these creatures especially these 00:08:07.20\00:08:09.96 beautiful graceful creatures. 00:08:09.97\00:08:11.57 We find once again that God provided every thing 00:08:11.58\00:08:14.27 that they would need to survive and in that new earth 00:08:14.28\00:08:16.73 it will be joy to have deer as pet also. 00:08:16.74\00:08:19.21 We're gonna have lots of pets, aren't we? 00:08:19.22\00:08:20.74 Ranger Jim does, you're gonna have pets in heaven? 00:08:20.75\00:08:22.88 Absolutely, one of every kind. One of every kind. 00:08:22.89\00:08:25.46 So you can look for our house, 00:08:25.47\00:08:26.95 when Debbie and Jim's house that's gonna be 00:08:26.96\00:08:29.27 animals every where boys and girls. 00:08:29.28\00:08:31.25 Hey, boys and girls, don't forget to tell, Jesus, 00:08:31.26\00:08:33.62 you love Him, because He really does love you. 00:08:33.63\00:08:36.56 Hello, boys and girls. 00:08:44.20\00:08:45.78 That old devil can sure make you mad sometimes, 00:08:45.79\00:08:48.31 but we do not have to fall, right Michelle? 00:08:48.32\00:08:51.02 No way because James 4:7 says, 00:08:51.03\00:08:54.06 "Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you." 00:08:54.07\00:08:58.28 Yes, boys and girls, 00:08:59.31\00:09:00.28 we can resist the devil and he will flee. 00:09:00.29\00:09:02.86 Jenifer Jill, wrote a wonderful song 00:09:02.87\00:09:04.62 and we'd like to sing it for you now. 00:09:04.63\00:09:06.27 It's a cold, dark world and a narrow path 00:09:10.20\00:09:15.55 Every boy and girl feels the pain 00:09:15.56\00:09:20.65 When temptation comes, there's a hope I have 00:09:20.66\00:09:25.94 I remember One felt the same 00:09:25.95\00:09:31.75 And Jesus said, "No, no, no, no, no" 00:09:31.76\00:09:35.01 to Satan and "Yes, yes, yes," to God Jesus said, 00:09:35.02\00:09:38.65 "No, no, no," to all temptation as the narrow way He trod 00:09:38.66\00:09:43.81 But Jesus took my, my, my, my flesh 00:09:43.82\00:09:46.82 upon Him and lived without a sin 00:09:46.83\00:09:49.58 So I could say "No, no, no, no, no," 00:09:49.59\00:09:52.38 to the devil and "Yes, yes, yes," to Him. 00:09:52.39\00:09:55.33 Lift your weary eyes, oh you struggling child 00:09:59.47\00:10:04.88 For the God we serve was a man 00:10:04.89\00:10:10.37 There are stormy skies and the wind is wild 00:10:10.38\00:10:15.66 But if Jesus stood, then you can 00:10:15.67\00:10:21.53 And Jesus said, "No, no, no, no, no" 00:10:21.54\00:10:24.77 to Satan and "Yes, yes, yes," to God Jesus said, 00:10:24.78\00:10:28.43 "No, no, no," to all temptation as the narrow way He trod 00:10:28.44\00:10:33.64 But Jesus took my, my, my, my flesh 00:10:33.65\00:10:36.47 upon Him and lived without a sin 00:10:36.48\00:10:39.13 So I could say "No, no, no, no, no," 00:10:39.14\00:10:42.04 to the devil and "Yes, yes, yes," to Him. 00:10:42.05\00:10:45.13 And Jesus said, "No, no, no, no, no" 00:10:45.14\00:10:48.02 to Satan and "Yes, yes, yes," to God Jesus said, 00:10:48.03\00:10:51.74 "No, no, no," to all temptation as the narrow way He trod 00:10:51.75\00:10:56.74 But Jesus took my, my, my, my flesh 00:10:56.75\00:10:59.54 upon Him and lived without a sin 00:10:59.55\00:11:02.21 So I could say "No, no, no, no, no," 00:11:02.22\00:11:04.95 to the devil and "Yes, yes, yes," to Him. 00:11:04.96\00:11:09.35 Yes we can say no, no, no, to the devil and yes to Jesus. 00:11:12.93\00:11:16.63 Mistress, why do you look so distressed? 00:11:24.22\00:11:26.57 Oh! Little maid, if only Pilate would have listened to me, 00:11:26.58\00:11:30.95 if only he had heeded the warning. 00:11:30.96\00:11:33.66 Why did he have to give in to the crowd? 00:11:33.67\00:11:36.09 You see I'm the wife of, 00:11:37.15\00:11:38.89 Pontius Pilate, the Roman Governor of Judaea. 00:11:38.90\00:11:42.33 My husband was worried about 00:11:42.34\00:11:44.47 loosing his position in the empire 00:11:44.48\00:11:46.92 and the very thing he worried about happened. 00:11:46.93\00:11:50.99 Let me tell you the story. 00:11:51.00\00:11:53.36 There was a man called, Jesus, 00:11:53.37\00:11:55.66 who traveled about the whole region of Palestine, 00:11:55.67\00:11:58.61 teaching anyone who would listen about 00:11:58.62\00:12:00.71 love and kindness to your fellow man. 00:12:00.72\00:12:03.06 He would heal all those who came to Him and believed on Him? 00:12:04.16\00:12:08.62 He even raised the dead. 00:12:08.63\00:12:10.89 Oh, it was so wonderful to hear the stories 00:12:12.82\00:12:16.44 when the people talked, I would listen. 00:12:16.45\00:12:19.52 And later I would tell the stories to, Pilate. 00:12:19.53\00:12:23.50 Many people believed in, Jesus, 00:12:23.51\00:12:25.67 and they followed Him thinking He was a prophet. 00:12:25.68\00:12:28.19 Their priests becomes so jealous of Him 00:12:30.30\00:12:33.71 that they set about to have Him killed. 00:12:33.72\00:12:36.78 That's were, Pilate, comes into the story. 00:12:39.85\00:12:41.88 It was a law in Rome that only a Roman official 00:12:43.44\00:12:48.42 had the power to have someone executed. 00:12:48.43\00:12:52.93 So they brought, Jesus, to, Pilate. 00:12:54.40\00:12:56.53 What did he do? 00:12:57.30\00:12:59.51 Well, at the trial, it was very early in the morning 00:12:59.52\00:13:02.90 I had not yet awakened. 00:13:02.91\00:13:04.76 God sent a massage in a dream to me 00:13:06.41\00:13:10.22 to warn me about what was to happen. 00:13:10.23\00:13:13.06 Oh, the dream, it was so wonderful and so awful, 00:13:16.04\00:13:20.44 it will forever be in my memory. 00:13:20.45\00:13:22.47 The first I was able to talk to, Jesus. 00:13:23.91\00:13:27.00 I was able to see Him and I knew 00:13:27.01\00:13:31.03 that He was an innocent and just man. 00:13:31.04\00:13:34.22 I knew that He was the Prince of God. 00:13:34.23\00:13:38.27 If only my dream had stopped there, 00:13:38.28\00:13:40.45 but it didn't, it became really awful. 00:13:40.46\00:13:44.64 I saw, Jesus', hands tightly bound like a criminal. 00:13:46.52\00:13:51.32 That's terrible? And I saw, Herod, 00:13:51.33\00:13:54.48 the king of Judea and his soldiers mocking, 00:13:54.49\00:13:57.69 Jesus, laughing at Him and beating Him. 00:13:57.70\00:14:01.71 I saw their priest shouting and accusing, Jesus, 00:14:01.72\00:14:06.66 saying we have a law and by our law He must die. 00:14:06.67\00:14:11.50 Now, Pilate, he knew, Jesus, was innocent 00:14:12.64\00:14:15.69 and three times he tried to get 00:14:15.70\00:14:18.03 the people to ask for, Jesus, release. 00:14:18.04\00:14:20.50 But they wouldn't listen instead they asked 00:14:22.68\00:14:26.83 for the release of, Barabbas, who is a murderer. 00:14:26.84\00:14:30.63 They scream so loud for, Jesus', death, 00:14:31.68\00:14:34.57 that, Pilate, become afraid, they would start a riot. 00:14:34.58\00:14:38.09 And so even thou he said I find no fault in Him. 00:14:38.10\00:14:43.19 Pilate turned, Jesus, over to be flogged and crucified. 00:14:43.20\00:14:49.19 I saw, Jesus, lifted up on the cross 00:14:51.36\00:14:54.44 at a place outside the city called Golgotha. 00:14:54.45\00:14:57.91 I saw the sky turned dark as night with no moon, no stars. 00:14:59.58\00:15:05.43 I heard the mysterious cry "It is Finished." 00:15:06.90\00:15:12.37 Then I saw, Jesus Christ, 00:15:14.37\00:15:16.54 sitting on the great white cloud. 00:15:16.55\00:15:19.16 I saw the earth really in space 00:15:19.17\00:15:21.43 and his murderers run to hide from His presence. 00:15:21.44\00:15:24.54 Oh, I woke with this dream of horror. 00:15:26.50\00:15:29.32 And immediately I send word to, Pilate, 00:15:30.95\00:15:34.23 have nothing to do with this just man. 00:15:34.24\00:15:37.44 But I was suffered terribly in a dream 00:15:37.45\00:15:40.17 because of Him this morning. 00:15:40.18\00:15:41.93 The messenger carrying the note to, Pilate, 00:15:43.18\00:15:46.64 push through the crowd and gave it to him. 00:15:46.65\00:15:49.69 Pilate was very afraid when he read it. 00:15:49.70\00:15:52.99 But still he thought that if he washed his hands 00:15:53.00\00:15:57.46 and said I'm not guilty of this man's blood 00:15:58.68\00:16:03.10 that he wouldn't feel guilty. 00:16:03.11\00:16:05.42 The people screamed, oh, let His blood be on us. 00:16:05.43\00:16:09.05 But you know, Pilate, gave in, 00:16:10.93\00:16:14.71 Jesus, was crucified and He lost his position in, Rome, 00:16:14.72\00:16:20.52 became so depressed. 00:16:20.53\00:16:22.65 I am sorry for, Pilate. 00:16:24.35\00:16:25.97 But me, I'm so thankful that, God, 00:16:28.71\00:16:32.79 loved me enough to sent me this warning to talk to me 00:16:32.80\00:16:36.59 even thou I wasn't a believer, or follower of Him. 00:16:36.60\00:16:40.46 You know, God, loves you too, 00:16:40.47\00:16:43.35 and He will send a massage to you. 00:16:43.36\00:16:45.52 He will talk to you, if you just listen. 00:16:45.53\00:16:48.75 [Music] 00:17:00.63\00:17:06.33 Thank you, Jonathan Lodenkamp family, 00:19:48.02\00:19:49.41 for that beautiful song, we really enjoyed it. 00:19:49.42\00:19:52.58 But today I've asked a very special friend 00:19:52.59\00:19:55.08 to come today and join me on Sharing Time. 00:19:55.09\00:19:57.45 His name is, Marc, and here he is right now. 00:19:57.46\00:20:00.72 Come on in, Marc.
