It's time to share, there's a world out there 00:00:03.61\00:00:06.76 looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:00:06.79\00:00:09.69 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:09.73\00:00:13.56 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:13.59\00:00:16.97 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:17.01\00:00:21.33 Kid's Time, Kid's Time, Kid's Time. 00:00:21.36\00:00:25.57 Hi, boys and girls. 00:00:25.60\00:00:26.84 Look at what I have in my hand. 00:00:26.87\00:00:28.52 Do you know what it is? 00:00:28.55\00:00:30.45 Yes, it's a thermometer. 00:00:30.49\00:00:32.32 Now you probably don't see one of these very often, 00:00:32.36\00:00:34.96 do you? 00:00:35.00\00:00:35.97 Not unless you're not feeling well. 00:00:35.98\00:00:37.47 And then your Mom probably puts it under your tongue to 00:00:37.50\00:00:39.82 find out what your temperature is. 00:00:39.85\00:00:41.34 Now, you can see this mark right here, can you see that? 00:00:41.38\00:00:44.81 Right there, that reads 98.6 degrees. 00:00:44.85\00:00:48.94 Now if your temperature is higher than that it probably 00:00:48.98\00:00:52.47 means that you're sick. 00:00:52.50\00:00:53.96 And it's not much fun to be sick, is it? 00:00:54.00\00:00:55.85 Perhaps you have been sick sometime with a nasty cold, and 00:00:55.88\00:01:00.88 your throat hurt and your sinuses are sore and you have to 00:01:00.92\00:01:05.89 blow your nose all the time and achoo-sneeze. 00:01:05.92\00:01:08.83 Or perhaps you were sick to your stomach. 00:01:08.86\00:01:11.70 And all the foods that you usually like didn't look so 00:01:11.73\00:01:14.71 good to you at all. 00:01:14.75\00:01:16.05 And everything that went into your stomach kept finding 00:01:16.09\00:01:19.24 its way right back up again. 00:01:19.27\00:01:21.15 And that's no fun, either, is it? 00:01:21.19\00:01:23.01 Today you are going to hear a story about a man 00:01:23.04\00:01:25.60 who was sick. 00:01:25.64\00:01:27.01 He was very sick, and he had a disease much worse than a 00:01:27.05\00:01:30.03 cold or the flu. 00:01:30.06\00:01:31.76 He had a disease called leprosy. 00:01:31.79\00:01:34.37 Now, in Bible times there wasn't anything 00:01:34.40\00:01:36.53 worse than leprosy. 00:01:36.57\00:01:38.29 In fact, any skin disease was looked upon with horror, 00:01:38.33\00:01:42.08 because there was no cure. 00:01:42.12\00:01:43.86 In Bible times they didn't have the medicines like 00:01:43.89\00:01:46.65 we have today. 00:01:46.68\00:01:47.95 In today's Bible story you'll hear how a little girl, 00:01:47.99\00:01:51.87 probably not much older than you are, helped 00:01:51.90\00:01:55.18 this man with leprosy. 00:01:55.22\00:01:56.85 Now as you listen to the Bible story why not think about 00:01:56.88\00:02:00.36 something you can do to make a sick person feel better? 00:02:00.39\00:02:03.87 Ask Jesus how you might be kind and helpful to someone who 00:02:03.90\00:02:07.34 is not feeling well, and I know He will give you some 00:02:07.38\00:02:10.06 wonderful ideas. 00:02:10.09\00:02:11.70 Right now, Ranger Jim is going to take us you know where? 00:02:11.74\00:02:15.07 Right inside a natural habitat for cougars! 00:02:15.11\00:02:20.08 Hi, boys and girls, this is Ranger Jim saying welcome to 00:02:27.62\00:02:30.16 Nature Time. 00:02:30.19\00:02:31.16 We're glad you could join us again today. 00:02:31.17\00:02:32.43 I have my friend Craig Sylke with me and he is going to be 00:02:32.46\00:02:35.09 explaining to you something about the big structure you 00:02:35.13\00:02:37.83 see here and about the beautiful animals that live here 00:02:37.87\00:02:40.11 Craig, could you tell the boys and girls something about 00:02:40.14\00:02:42.13 this structure and about the creatures that live here? 00:02:42.17\00:02:44.12 Well, Ranger Jim, I'd love to. 00:02:44.15\00:02:46.15 You know, young people, it's great to be alive and these 00:02:46.19\00:02:49.71 magnificent creatures that you're getting to see today are 00:02:49.74\00:02:53.23 something very special. 00:02:53.27\00:02:55.06 Remember at the Wildlife sanctuary, we have five of 00:02:55.10\00:02:59.13 America's most endangered mammals. 00:02:59.17\00:03:01.03 The eastern panther, or Florida panther as they are 00:03:01.07\00:03:03.80 sometimes called, is actually America's most endangered. 00:03:03.84\00:03:07.37 And this is actually a habitat for those endangered 00:03:07.40\00:03:10.44 species and also for some western species. 00:03:10.48\00:03:13.09 Did you know, Ranger Jim, that the cougar has over 57 00:03:13.13\00:03:16.69 different names? 00:03:16.73\00:03:18.28 Young people, can you imagine one young person, one boy one 00:03:18.32\00:03:22.48 girl, with 57 different names? 00:03:22.52\00:03:24.20 That's a lot of nicknames, isn't it? 00:03:24.23\00:03:25.20 Yes, it is. 00:03:25.21\00:03:26.18 What; cougar, painter, puma, panther, catamount? 00:03:26.19\00:03:28.90 These are all actually the same animal, just depending, 00:03:28.93\00:03:31.84 Ranger Jim, on what part of the country you live in. 00:03:31.88\00:03:34.74 That's amazing! Now, this is quite a large structure. 00:03:34.78\00:03:37.60 I see you have different elevations of this. 00:03:37.64\00:03:41.16 Is that for a purpose? 00:03:41.19\00:03:42.58 Yes, it is, Jim. 00:03:42.62\00:03:43.75 Actually, young people, the reasons that you see the three 00:03:43.79\00:03:46.15 stages are for this: 00:03:46.18\00:03:47.55 every good habitat has to have an exercise area. 00:03:47.58\00:03:50.90 Their tree house has an exercise deck that 00:03:50.93\00:03:53.94 is the first layer. 00:03:53.98\00:03:55.69 The second layer that you see of the solid wood around it 00:03:55.72\00:03:59.51 is their den. 00:03:59.55\00:04:01.15 That is where they would actually have their babies. 00:04:01.19\00:04:03.50 And then the third layer, you know boys and girls, don't 00:04:03.53\00:04:05.81 we enjoy the beach? 00:04:05.84\00:04:07.51 Well, every good cougar needs a good sunbathing place, 00:04:07.55\00:04:10.74 and right up there on top is actually where 00:04:10.78\00:04:12.91 they get the sunrays. 00:04:12.95\00:04:14.66 Wonderful, well what about all this stuff I see on the 00:04:14.69\00:04:16.65 trees here? 00:04:16.68\00:04:17.91 I see you have stainless steel material on that, 00:04:17.95\00:04:19.78 what's that for? 00:04:19.81\00:04:20.78 Yes, Ranger Jim, well you know, young people, mountain 00:04:20.79\00:04:24.02 lions, cougars, love to climb and this is so that they 00:04:24.05\00:04:27.26 can't climb up the tree and just hop right out. 00:04:27.30\00:04:29.71 So that's actually a security shield and also it protects 00:04:29.74\00:04:32.54 the tree. 00:04:32.58\00:04:33.78 Wonderful! See a device there that has some rubber tires, 00:04:33.82\00:04:35.94 do they like to play in that and swing back and 00:04:35.98\00:04:37.48 forth like children? 00:04:37.51\00:04:38.48 They sure do, Jim, you know cats are just remarkable 00:04:38.49\00:04:42.43 play critters. 00:04:42.47\00:04:43.95 You know, I'll bet, boys and girls, each of you may have 00:04:43.99\00:04:46.62 a cat at home, or a puppy dog and you know how they love 00:04:46.65\00:04:49.25 to play. 00:04:49.28\00:04:50.43 Well, these animals are no exception. 00:04:50.46\00:04:52.13 You know God built critters so that they can enjoy life 00:04:52.16\00:04:55.99 just like you and I as human beings. 00:04:56.03\00:04:58.15 Well, that's beautiful, but I see that sometimes when 00:04:58.18\00:05:01.40 animals are reacting to each other I have observed them 00:05:01.43\00:05:04.61 when they are out there, that it appears cruel. 00:05:04.64\00:05:07.27 I see they will be tearing into each other and we have 00:05:07.30\00:05:10.74 some action going on here now. 00:05:10.78\00:05:12.42 What is happening here now? 00:05:12.46\00:05:14.03 Yes, Ranger Jim, and this is natural in the wild. 00:05:14.07\00:05:16.81 It's called habitat or territorial issues. 00:05:16.85\00:05:19.84 And you know each of these animals, young people, have 00:05:19.87\00:05:22.98 certain places even thought this is a natural habitat and 00:05:23.02\00:05:25.81 containment area they have different corners or different 00:05:25.85\00:05:28.86 trees that that's their area, and when a cat crosses over 00:05:28.89\00:05:32.06 into that area they've gone into no man's land and so then 00:05:32.09\00:05:35.22 you hear the reaction that we're hearing right now. 00:05:35.26\00:05:37.95 And so they have rules to live by and if they don't do 00:05:37.99\00:05:40.64 that there are consequences to pay. 00:05:40.68\00:05:42.68 Most definitely, Ranger Jim, just as you and I must live 00:05:42.71\00:05:45.84 by God's rules, so must these beautiful creatures live by 00:05:45.87\00:05:48.96 the rules of nature. 00:05:48.99\00:05:50.28 And that would be true in our families and our school. 00:05:50.32\00:05:52.95 Boys and girls, at school we have rules and if we don't 00:05:52.99\00:05:55.59 follow the rules we have problems, don't we? 00:05:55.63\00:05:57.47 If we don't follow rules at home we have problems. 00:05:57.51\00:06:00.40 So lest we be like the cougars that are fighting over 00:06:00.43\00:06:03.28 territory we follow the rules and do them, as they should 00:06:03.32\00:06:06.13 be, then everything will go very smoothly. 00:06:06.16\00:06:08.53 Well, is there anything that you might add, Craig, to what 00:06:08.56\00:06:10.31 we have talked to before or does that do it? 00:06:10.35\00:06:11.75 Well, Ranger Jim, I would just like to say that you know 00:06:11.79\00:06:15.19 one of the biggest issues, boys and girls, is not only 00:06:15.22\00:06:18.59 territory issues, but habitat. 00:06:18.62\00:06:20.70 Did you know that there are very few places, Ranger Jim, 00:06:20.73\00:06:23.65 where these magnificent creatures can live in the United 00:06:23.68\00:06:26.56 States now? 00:06:26.60\00:06:27.58 While we're putting a house on every mountaintop we are 00:06:27.61\00:06:30.64 encroaching on their habitat and so we have almost made 00:06:30.67\00:06:33.66 the species non-existent. 00:06:33.69\00:06:35.71 Because we insist on moving out into the beautiful country 00:06:35.74\00:06:38.63 here they live. 00:06:38.66\00:06:39.77 So all this is true, even though it may appear cruel to us 00:06:39.81\00:06:43.52 or mean to us, it's a natural procedure. 00:06:43.55\00:06:45.95 They have to establish territory. 00:06:45.98\00:06:48.03 So once again, boys and girls, Jesus made them perfect 00:06:48.06\00:06:51.55 didn't He? 00:06:51.59\00:06:52.56 He created them and we hear this terrible growling and 00:06:52.57\00:06:55.85 snarling and it seems like they are vicious like this. 00:06:55.89\00:06:59.51 In the new earth, my Bible says that these creatures that 00:06:59.54\00:07:03.04 you hear snarling and fighting now, will lay down beside a 00:07:03.07\00:07:06.53 lamb and purr like a kitten. 00:07:06.56\00:07:08.54 That's going to be a wonderful day, isn't it? 00:07:08.58\00:07:09.80 Amen, I can't wait, Ranger Jim. 00:07:09.84\00:07:11.35 It will be a wonderful day. 00:07:11.38\00:07:12.83 Can't we invite the boys and girls to meet us in heaven by 00:07:12.86\00:07:15.83 the big tree with a mountain lion under it? 00:07:15.86\00:07:19.17 With the mountain lion it will be a beautiful place to 00:07:19.21\00:07:21.40 meet, boys and girls, so as always with the snarling 00:07:21.44\00:07:23.56 behind us, boys and girls, this is Ranger Jim telling you 00:07:23.59\00:07:26.88 don't forget to tell Jesus you love Him, because 00:07:26.91\00:07:28.96 He really does love you. 00:07:29.00\00:07:31.78 Hello, boys and girls, when Jesus was on earth, you could 00:07:36.67\00:07:39.80 see the love of God shining right through Him. 00:07:39.83\00:07:41.88 And we need to shine for God too. 00:07:41.92\00:07:43.80 Bobby has a text that talks about that. 00:07:43.84\00:07:46.06 "You are the light of the world. " Matthew 5:14. 00:07:46.09\00:07:50.55 So, we are the light of the world. 00:07:50.59\00:07:53.31 We need to shine like the sun for Jesus. 00:07:53.35\00:07:55.95 Jesus wants me for a Son beam to shine for Him each day. 00:07:59.83\00:08:06.98 In every way try to please Him at home, 00:08:07.02\00:08:11.97 at school, at play. 00:08:12.01\00:08:14.76 A Son beam, a Son beam, Jesus wants me for a Son beam. 00:08:14.80\00:08:22.35 A Son beam, a Son beam, I'll be a Son beam for Him. 00:08:22.38\00:08:29.90 Jesus wants me for a Son beam to shine for Him each day. 00:09:02.48\00:09:09.42 In every way try to please Him at home, at school, 00:09:09.45\00:09:15.36 at play. 00:09:15.40\00:09:17.33 A Son beam, a Son beam, Jesus wants me for a Son beam. 00:09:17.36\00:09:25.14 A Son beam, a Son beam, I'll be a Son beam for Him. 00:09:25.17\00:09:32.91 I'll be a Son beam for Him. 00:09:32.95\00:09:40.21 Hi, today we are going to make carob kisses. 00:09:50.79\00:09:52.94 This is my aunt Linda's recipe. 00:09:52.97\00:09:55.30 She has been cooking for a camp in Wisconsin, called Camp 00:09:55.33\00:09:59.12 Watonga for a long time and the kids there love it. 00:09:59.15\00:10:01.80 Well, I'll read my recipe to you. 00:10:01.84\00:10:04.14 First we are going to start with out peanut butter and 00:10:23.74\00:10:26.57 pour that in. 00:10:26.60\00:10:28.20 yum. I think so. 00:19:56.05\00:19:58.41 Anyways, the Jordan River is a very dirty river and the 00:19:58.45\00:20:03.01 Captain was very angry. 00:20:03.04\00:20:05.27 He wondered why he couldn't just wash in some cleaner 00:20:05.31\00:20:08.16 rivers and be healed. 00:20:08.19\00:20:09.89 But his servants, that were with him said, "Why can't you 00:20:09.92\00:20:16.29 just do this simple thing? 00:20:16.33\00:20:17.95 It's so easy to do. " 00:20:17.99\00:20:19.59 Captain Naaman was thinking about it a long time. 00:20:19.63\00:20:22.81 Finally he put aside his pride and dipped in the Jordan 00:20:22.85\00:20:26.77 River seven times. 00:20:26.81\00:20:28.59 Once, twice, three times, and then he emerged from 00:20:28.62\00:20:33.73 the water the seventh time and his spots were gone! 00:20:33.76\00:20:38.83 He was healed from his leprosy! 00:20:38.87\00:20:40.61 Now Captain Naaman and his wife are so happy. 00:20:40.64\00:20:43.84 And I'm happy too because I was able to help this family. 00:20:43.88\00:20:48.12 And now they know the great power of God in heaven. 00:20:48.16\00:20:52.16 Rise and shine and give God the glory, glory, 00:21:07.26\00:21:12.34 rise and shine and give God the glory, glory. 00:21:12.37\00:21:17.30 Rise and shine and give God the glory, glory 00:21:17.33\00:21:22.22 children of the Lord. 00:21:22.26\00:21:26.34 Rise and shine and give God the glory, glory. 00:21:27.80\00:21:32.70 Rise and shine and give God the glory, glory. 00:21:32.73\00:21:37.76 Rise and shine and give God the glory, glory 00:21:37.79\00:21:42.79 children of the Lord. 00:21:42.82\00:21:46.99 Thank you, Caitlin, for that beautiful song. 00:21:56.98\00:21:59.11 You know, we all need to all rise and shine for 00:21:59.14\00:22:01.24 Jesus, don't we? 00:22:01.27\00:22:02.56 Well, today I have another friend named Caitlin that I've 00:22:02.60\00:22:04.99 asked to join me on Sharing Time. 00:22:05.03\00:22:06.70 And here she is here right now. 00:22:06.73\00:22:08.33 Come on in, Caitlin, you're just in time. 00:22:08.37\00:22:10.12 Can you grab the mail for me right now to see if we have 00:22:10.16\00:22:12.79 any letters? 00:22:12.83\00:22:13.93 Do we have any letters, Yes, we do. 00:22:13.97\00:22:15.51 We have some letters?
