It's time to share there's a world out there 00:00:03.50\00:00:07.24 Looking for a friend like Jesus 00:00:07.25\00:00:10.24 It's time to share there's a world out there 00:00:10.25\00:00:13.62 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:00:13.63\00:00:16.83 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:00:16.84\00:00:20.29 Kids Time, Kids Time, 00:00:20.30\00:00:24.06 Kids Time, Kids Time 00:00:24.07\00:00:26.32 Hi, boys and girls. 00:00:26.33\00:00:27.65 Do you recognize me with this mask on? 00:00:27.66\00:00:29.95 I look different, don't I? 00:00:29.96\00:00:31.71 Okay, I will take it off. 00:00:31.72\00:00:34.75 Usually when people wear mask, 00:00:34.76\00:00:36.17 is because they don't want to be recognized. 00:00:36.18\00:00:38.52 They may wear mask for party 00:00:38.53\00:00:40.08 where everyone has to guess everyone else's identity. 00:00:40.09\00:00:42.75 But the truth is that many of us wear mask most of the time. 00:00:42.76\00:00:46.74 I don't mean the kind of mask that you buy in a store 00:00:46.75\00:00:49.81 like this one and wear on your face. 00:00:49.82\00:00:52.21 The kind of mask many of us wear a mask for pretending, 00:00:52.22\00:00:55.70 pretending to be someone other than who we really are. 00:00:55.71\00:00:58.39 People often think that if others knew who they were 00:00:58.40\00:01:01.26 really deep inside that no one would like them or respect them. 00:01:01.27\00:01:05.88 In a book called "Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories" 00:01:05.89\00:01:08.27 the author, Arthur Maxwell, 00:01:08.28\00:01:10.07 tells the story of a little girl named, Caroline, 00:01:10.08\00:01:12.65 who wore just that kind of mask. 00:01:12.66\00:01:15.15 In front of her teacher, she pretended to be 00:01:15.16\00:01:16.93 somebody helpful and happy and pleasant. 00:01:16.94\00:01:19.52 But at home, she let her true self be seen 00:01:19.53\00:01:22.09 and she was a very different person. 00:01:22.10\00:01:23.75 She was grumpy, and rude, and lazy. 00:01:23.76\00:01:26.79 One day, her mother decided that, 00:01:26.80\00:01:27.92 Caroline, needed to learn an important lesson 00:01:27.93\00:01:30.42 and without telling her, 00:01:30.43\00:01:31.77 mother invited the teacher home for supper. 00:01:31.78\00:01:34.54 When asked to set the table, Caroline whined, 00:01:34.55\00:01:36.91 why do I always have to set the table, 00:01:36.92\00:01:39.16 why can't you do it? 00:01:39.17\00:01:41.23 And she just complained about anything mother would ask her. 00:01:41.24\00:01:44.70 Then mother told her to call her guest 00:01:44.71\00:01:47.05 then from the living room, who had been there all along. 00:01:47.06\00:01:50.23 When, Caroline, looked into the living room 00:01:50.24\00:01:51.87 and found her teacher there, she burst into tears. 00:01:51.88\00:01:55.88 The teacher was so disappointed 00:01:55.89\00:01:57.29 that her sweet, Caroline, wasn't always so sweet. 00:01:57.30\00:02:00.98 And, Caroline, learned a lesson that day, 00:02:00.99\00:02:03.05 she decided to let her inside and her outside match. 00:02:03.06\00:02:07.07 Only she would ask, Jesus, to help her change the inside, 00:02:07.08\00:02:10.31 so that, that smiling, helpful, Caroline, 00:02:10.32\00:02:13.50 would really be the real little girl. 00:02:13.51\00:02:16.66 Today you are going to learn about an animal 00:02:16.67\00:02:18.69 who wears the mask. 00:02:18.70\00:02:20.02 This animal isn't trying to hide anything. 00:02:20.03\00:02:22.47 You will learn more about it from Ranger Jim. 00:02:22.48\00:02:24.52 Hi, boys and girls. 00:02:30.86\00:02:31.83 We have Loonie Kuhn. 00:02:31.84\00:02:34.34 Who is this guy with a mask? What do we call this? 00:02:34.35\00:02:37.68 This is a raccoon. And are they very common? 00:02:37.69\00:02:41.15 They are extremely common across the United States. 00:02:41.16\00:02:44.69 More so now than they've ever have been in history, 00:02:44.70\00:02:48.04 they have learned to adapt in the urban environment 00:02:48.05\00:02:51.80 as much as they are in the wooden environment these days. 00:02:51.81\00:02:54.55 I see and this is a very young coon. 00:02:54.56\00:02:56.18 Is this yours coon? 00:02:56.19\00:02:57.44 This was one that came in as an orphan 00:02:57.45\00:02:59.41 and we had been raising it to be released back into the wild. 00:02:59.42\00:03:02.81 He is just starting to realize, he is a raccoon at this age. 00:03:02.82\00:03:08.05 And so many people find that up until this stage, 00:03:08.06\00:03:10.19 they make a lovely pet, 00:03:10.20\00:03:11.34 but after that they are not so nicer pet, that's right. 00:03:11.35\00:03:14.18 They think that they are going to be just 00:03:14.19\00:03:16.11 a glorified dog or cat, but they are not. 00:03:16.12\00:03:18.62 They are their own special animal 00:03:18.63\00:03:20.42 and they do what raccoons do. 00:03:20.43\00:03:22.16 They want to climb and they want to chew and bite, 00:03:22.17\00:03:24.95 and that's just what raccoons do in the wild. 00:03:24.96\00:03:27.34 They are very curious and they're into everything. 00:03:27.35\00:03:30.35 Absolutely, they have these incredible paws 00:03:30.36\00:03:34.42 that are almost like hands. 00:03:34.43\00:03:36.03 They actually have five fingers. 00:03:36.04\00:03:38.94 They work just like fingers 00:03:38.95\00:03:40.61 that tends to be part of their undoing. 00:03:40.62\00:03:42.63 They are so good with those little fingers, 00:03:42.64\00:03:44.66 they get themselves into a lot of trouble. 00:03:44.67\00:03:46.35 They can open doors, open jars, open packages, 00:03:46.36\00:03:50.74 so if they get into your house, they can do some damage. 00:03:50.75\00:03:53.72 I was observing a mother with four or five kittens 00:03:53.73\00:03:55.81 where they're about three months ago 00:03:55.82\00:03:57.48 and that was amusing to watch her come on. 00:03:57.49\00:03:59.35 Every time she turned over rock, 00:03:59.36\00:04:00.82 everyone of the babies came behind her, 00:04:00.83\00:04:02.15 where they will turn over the rock too, 00:04:02.16\00:04:03.14 feeling with those little hands on. 00:04:03.15\00:04:04.44 Just feel with those little hands. 00:04:04.45\00:04:05.94 They say that most of the raccoon hunting 00:04:05.95\00:04:10.90 is done with the feet, because when they are 00:04:10.91\00:04:12.98 hunting at night in the dark, in the stream, 00:04:12.99\00:04:14.92 they're feeling, not looking, not seeing, 00:04:14.93\00:04:17.99 or hearing as much as feeling. 00:04:18.00\00:04:19.42 Right in this, the group that I was watching 00:04:19.43\00:04:21.72 the last fellow in line came along 00:04:21.73\00:04:23.38 and he was feeling and he stuck his hand under a broth 00:04:23.39\00:04:25.80 and got a hold of a crayfish, 00:04:25.81\00:04:27.25 but he grabbed him and you should have seen him 00:04:27.26\00:04:29.02 dancing and shaking his foot. 00:04:29.03\00:04:30.70 I'm sure, I'm sure. 00:04:30.71\00:04:32.64 Okay, and once again, you find these 00:04:32.65\00:04:35.15 creatures living almost anywhere 00:04:35.16\00:04:37.03 even in neighborhoods within the city limits, 00:04:37.04\00:04:38.74 is that true? That's right. 00:04:38.75\00:04:40.60 Frequently in the wild, they would be living 00:04:40.61\00:04:42.81 in a hollow log, but in the city, 00:04:42.82\00:04:46.37 of course, a chimney resembles a hollow log, 00:04:46.38\00:04:49.95 so they again will sometimes take up residence in homes, 00:04:49.96\00:04:54.15 but they can be found in sometimes a sewer, 00:04:54.16\00:04:56.89 drainage ditches, many places 00:04:56.90\00:05:00.30 that we wouldn't even think of, they are in the city. 00:05:00.31\00:05:02.63 And he loves this much like your dog. 00:05:02.64\00:05:04.79 He loves this if you scratch his ears. 00:05:04.80\00:05:06.61 While ago, he was cheering for us and making 00:05:06.62\00:05:08.74 that peculiar sound that they have sort of a purring sound, 00:05:08.75\00:05:11.72 but he doesn't want to do it for us now. 00:05:11.73\00:05:13.17 And the mother, how many kittens 00:05:13.18\00:05:14.41 does she have normally? 00:05:14.42\00:05:16.43 It depends on the age of the mother, 00:05:16.44\00:05:18.53 if it's a first litter or not. 00:05:18.54\00:05:20.25 But they can have up to five young at a time. 00:05:20.26\00:05:23.00 I see and then they stay with their parents 00:05:23.01\00:05:24.81 and learn to hunt and forage. 00:05:24.82\00:05:27.12 She teaches them all the necessary skills 00:05:27.13\00:05:31.42 to survive in the world. 00:05:31.43\00:05:33.08 Well, tell me this, do the-- in the northern climates, 00:05:33.09\00:05:35.33 do the raccoons hibernate? 00:05:35.34\00:05:37.66 They will frequently den up. 00:05:37.67\00:05:40.67 It's not a true hibernation 00:05:40.68\00:05:42.23 like some of the other animals, but they will den up 00:05:42.24\00:05:44.31 for periods of time and live off with their fat. 00:05:44.32\00:05:46.61 I see, so they just sit in a nice big hollow log 00:05:46.62\00:05:49.12 and they go to sleep through the bed two or three weeks 00:05:49.13\00:05:52.44 and then have a nice mild spell 00:05:52.45\00:05:54.32 when they come out and hunt as do the other creatures. 00:05:54.33\00:05:58.39 That's right. Okay, tell me this, 00:05:58.40\00:06:00.68 do we-- is this the only raccoon 00:06:00.69\00:06:02.51 that we have in the United States? 00:06:02.58\00:06:03.85 Is this the only raccoon we have? 00:06:03.86\00:06:04.96 This is the only one that we have similar to this, yes. 00:06:04.97\00:06:08.74 I see, and how big will the raccoon grow? 00:06:08.75\00:06:11.13 Well, they have had recorded that raccoons be pretty large. 00:06:11.14\00:06:15.53 Generally you will find them anywhere from 15 pounds, 00:06:15.54\00:06:20.73 15 to 20 pounds in the northern climates. 00:06:20.74\00:06:25.09 The southern climates usually the raccoons are little smaller. 00:06:25.10\00:06:28.81 I see, and is the female 00:06:28.82\00:06:30.23 smaller than the male or it's a vice versa? 00:06:30.24\00:06:32.30 Usually the male with mammals, the male is bigger, 00:06:32.31\00:06:34.93 and with raccoons that almost true. 00:06:34.94\00:06:36.83 I see, now this creature is omnivores, 00:06:36.84\00:06:39.73 is that correct, I mean, they eat many 00:06:39.74\00:06:41.09 different things like fruit and berries? 00:06:41.10\00:06:42.87 They like fruit and berries, but they are meat eaters. 00:06:42.88\00:06:45.44 They eat crawdads and worms and minnows. 00:06:45.45\00:06:47.87 I see, so we could say that this creature 00:06:47.88\00:06:51.26 can make a living almost anywhere. 00:06:51.27\00:06:52.75 Just about, just about anywhere, 00:06:52.76\00:06:55.17 he can find something to live, 00:06:55.18\00:06:57.08 somewhere to actually sleep, 00:06:57.09\00:06:58.84 and somewhere to find food. 00:06:58.85\00:07:00.89 And so for any boy and girl 00:07:00.90\00:07:02.28 that they rather think that a raccoon 00:07:02.29\00:07:03.77 would make a wonderful pet, 00:07:03.78\00:07:05.03 would you encourage that or would you discourage that? 00:07:05.04\00:07:07.52 Oh, absolutely not, What happens is they become, 00:07:07.53\00:07:10.01 you can tame them to some extent, 00:07:10.02\00:07:11.97 but then as they start developing normal raccoon traits 00:07:11.98\00:07:15.19 people don't want them anymore, 00:07:15.20\00:07:17.86 and then unfortunately that animal 00:07:17.87\00:07:19.40 will not have a good chance in the wild. 00:07:19.41\00:07:22.02 And so then they bring it to our friend Beverly 00:07:22.03\00:07:23.84 to care for and to feed and to take care also. 00:07:23.85\00:07:27.03 So we find once again, boys and girls, 00:07:27.04\00:07:29.05 with the raccoon as with all the other creatures that God made. 00:07:29.06\00:07:32.96 He gave them special equipment, 00:07:32.97\00:07:34.46 He gave them special care to survive in the wild, 00:07:34.47\00:07:37.83 and to go about having a happy life, 00:07:37.84\00:07:41.06 raising families and so they're once again 00:07:41.07\00:07:43.85 our wonderful Creator God, 00:07:43.86\00:07:45.35 with His love and with His creative ability 00:07:45.36\00:07:47.47 has given us another creature to see 00:07:47.48\00:07:49.50 and enjoy and learn about. 00:07:49.51\00:07:51.48 And as always, Ranger Jim, reminding you, 00:07:51.49\00:07:54.33 don't forget to tell, Jesus, 00:07:54.34\00:07:56.59 that you love Him, because He really does love you. 00:07:56.60\00:08:00.19 Hello, boys and girls. 00:08:07.14\00:08:08.65 When momma or daddy, do something nice for you, 00:08:08.66\00:08:10.44 they love to hear the words "Thank you." 00:08:10.45\00:08:13.19 But do you think God wants to hear us say "Thank you?" 00:08:13.20\00:08:16.10 Rachel what the Psalms 107 verse 1 say? 00:08:16.11\00:08:18.98 "O gives thanks unto the Lord, for He is good." 00:08:18.99\00:08:23.41 So He does want us to say "Thank you," 00:08:23.42\00:08:25.48 please join us in this song of "Thank You and Praise to God." 00:08:25.49\00:08:28.46 God is so good God is so good 00:08:39.06\00:08:49.62 God is so good He's so good to me 00:08:49.63\00:08:59.94 He is coming back He is coming back 00:08:59.95\00:09:10.12 He is coming back He's so good to me 00:09:10.13\00:09:20.53 I love Him so I love Him so 00:09:20.54\00:09:30.37 I love Him so He's so good to me 00:09:30.38\00:09:40.58 God is so good God is so good 00:09:40.59\00:09:50.97 God is so good He's so good to me 00:09:50.98\00:09:59.98 He's so good to me 00:09:59.99\00:10:09.91 Boys and girls, next time you talk to God, make sure 00:10:14.95\00:10:17.78 you tell Him, how much you love Him and appreciate Him. 00:10:17.79\00:10:20.01 Hello there, I'm in a rush right now. 00:10:27.99\00:10:30.08 I've got to show myself to the priest, 00:10:30.09\00:10:32.63 but let me just take a moment to tell you 00:10:32.64\00:10:34.51 about an exciting thing that just happened to me. 00:10:34.52\00:10:38.03 Well, I got to back up a little bit. 00:10:38.04\00:10:39.84 As you can tell, I'm a foreigner in this country, 00:10:39.85\00:10:42.23 my family and I came and we setup a little shop 00:10:42.24\00:10:44.63 in our neighborhood and we were doing quite well. 00:10:44.64\00:10:47.18 And the Lord prospered, we had everything 00:10:47.19\00:10:50.16 that we needed for the family. 00:10:50.17\00:10:51.81 But one day, I started noticing 00:10:51.82\00:10:54.96 some splotches on my hand 00:10:54.97\00:10:56.97 and my fingers started feeling numb. 00:10:56.98\00:10:59.79 I went to the doctor and the doctor gave me 00:10:59.80\00:11:01.47 the most dreadful news, he said, you have leprosy. 00:11:01.48\00:11:06.83 I had leprosy, I was a leper. 00:11:06.84\00:11:09.08 I couldn't believe that. 00:11:09.09\00:11:10.72 I couldn't believe that I was a leper 00:11:10.73\00:11:12.99 and, you know, leprosy is contagious. 00:11:13.00\00:11:15.33 I had to move away from my family, 00:11:15.34\00:11:17.31 because I didn't want to give this to my family. 00:11:17.32\00:11:20.30 I had to close my shop. I didn't have anything to do. 00:11:20.31\00:11:23.50 I had to go off by myself. 00:11:23.51\00:11:25.43 It was such a horrible experience having this leprosy, 00:11:25.44\00:11:28.50 and sure enough, after a while, 00:11:28.51\00:11:30.61 my fingers started to be eaten up 00:11:30.62\00:11:32.76 and my toes and my nose, pretty soon it was gone, 00:11:32.77\00:11:36.04 and I was pasty and it was just terrible 00:11:36.05\00:11:39.11 and I started to smell bad and I just couldn't believe 00:11:39.12\00:11:42.00 why this was happening to me. 00:11:42.01\00:11:43.61 And a lot of people said that it was because 00:11:43.62\00:11:46.75 I had a lot of sin in my life. 00:11:46.76\00:11:49.51 But you know, I don't know that 00:11:49.52\00:11:52.72 I couldn't think of anything that I had done wrong. 00:11:52.73\00:11:55.28 Why was God punishing me? What did I do? 00:11:55.29\00:11:58.23 They said that this leprosy was a result of my sinful lifestyle. 00:11:58.24\00:12:02.54 Well, I was off wandering and I had to tell people 00:12:02.55\00:12:05.66 that I was unkind, every time I saw a group over there, 00:12:05.67\00:12:09.23 a group mingling and if I were coming 00:12:09.24\00:12:11.43 in their direction I had to warn them, 00:12:11.44\00:12:14.06 and I would say "unclean, unclean" 00:12:14.07\00:12:16.87 and you should have seen them scattered. 00:12:16.88\00:12:18.68 They would spread as if I had thrown a bomb 00:12:18.69\00:12:21.15 in their midst or something. 00:12:21.16\00:12:23.12 Well, it was pretty lonely out there 00:12:23.13\00:12:25.57 and the thing that I hated 00:12:25.58\00:12:27.47 that most was how my friends reacted. 00:12:27.48\00:12:30.98 You see these were the people that I hung around with. 00:12:30.99\00:12:33.83 These were the people that I thought were my friends. 00:12:33.84\00:12:36.71 And I would go up to them and I recognize them 00:12:36.72\00:12:38.63 and I still have to tell them, I'd say "unclean, unclean" 00:12:38.64\00:12:42.20 and they looked at me and they turned around 00:12:42.21\00:12:43.98 as if they didn't know who I was, 00:12:43.99\00:12:45.45 as if I was some kind of alien or something. 00:12:45.46\00:12:48.12 I couldn't bear that, but here is the good part. 00:12:48.13\00:12:52.37 You see, I hung around some people, 00:12:52.38\00:12:54.75 who didn't mind me being around them 00:12:54.76\00:12:56.17 because they had leprosy too, 00:12:56.18\00:12:58.03 and I couldn't give it to them, 00:12:58.04\00:12:59.05 because they already had it. 00:12:59.06\00:13:00.80 Well, we heard that, Jesus, 00:13:00.81\00:13:01.81 was going to be in town 00:13:01.82\00:13:03.07 that He had been coming around the hillside 00:13:03.08\00:13:05.18 healing people one after the other, 00:13:05.19\00:13:06.93 after the other, making blind eyes see, 00:13:06.94\00:13:09.38 making lame people walk again. 00:13:09.39\00:13:11.65 Could you imagine that? 00:13:11.66\00:13:12.77 We thought we maybe just maybe, 00:13:12.78\00:13:15.59 He could heal us. 00:13:15.60\00:13:17.21 And I convinced my friends, there were nine of them, 00:13:17.22\00:13:20.10 and I said come on guys, you have nothing to lose, 00:13:20.11\00:13:22.59 they didn't really believe in this, Jesus. 00:13:22.60\00:13:24.32 But I convinced them, and we all went to find, 00:13:24.33\00:13:26.91 Jesus, and sure enough, we saw them in a mountainside, 00:13:26.92\00:13:30.26 a big group of people and we knew, 00:13:30.27\00:13:31.64 Jesus, was there and so we ran up to them 00:13:31.65\00:13:34.58 saying "unclean, unclean" but we kept on running 00:13:34.59\00:13:37.31 right up to them and the crowd split up, 00:13:37.32\00:13:39.34 Jesus stood still. 00:13:39.35\00:13:41.83 We were able to run right up to, Jesus, 00:13:41.84\00:13:44.29 and you know, Jesus, never ran. 00:13:44.30\00:13:49.00 That was the exciting thing Jesus, 00:13:49.01\00:13:50.34 didn't turn His back on us. 00:13:50.35\00:13:51.58 He didn't run away, He accepted us. 00:13:51.59\00:13:54.98 He was there and we were face to face with this, 00:13:54.99\00:13:57.34 Jesus and we bowed down to Him 00:13:57.35\00:14:01.33 and we said "Jesus, Jesus, please 00:14:01.34\00:14:04.12 if it be anything in your will to make us 00:14:04.13\00:14:07.29 whole again please, please heal us 00:14:07.30\00:14:09.61 of this dreadful disease, this leprosy." 00:14:09.62\00:14:12.82 And you know what, Jesus, said, 00:14:12.83\00:14:14.87 He said, "Go and show yourself to the priest." 00:14:14.88\00:14:18.20 Well, that meant that we were to give Him 00:14:18.21\00:14:21.87 the final authority, the final word, 00:14:21.88\00:14:23.59 if the priest were to say yes, you are whole again, 00:14:23.60\00:14:26.25 we get to go home and live our life again. 00:14:26.26\00:14:29.59 But we weren't whole again, we still had this leprosy. 00:14:29.60\00:14:33.23 My fingers were still gone, I was still pale. 00:14:33.24\00:14:37.49 How can we go show our priest 00:14:37.50\00:14:38.65 to ourselves to the priest like this? The hands on my clock so I am here in, 00:20:36.39\00:20:38.85 something is wrong with them." 00:20:38.86\00:20:40.15 And I don't think they move anymore and you know, 00:20:40.16\00:20:42.86 could you fix them for me? 00:20:42.87\00:20:45.81 Now the clock repair person just stared at the man, 00:20:45.82\00:20:48.31 he couldn't believe it. 00:20:48.32\00:20:49.29 He said, "You brought me just the hands." 00:20:49.30\00:20:52.23 Well, my good man, he said, 00:20:52.24\00:20:54.86 "You are gonna have to bring me the rest of the clock 00:20:54.87\00:20:56.62 if you want me to fix this." 00:20:56.63\00:20:58.99 But the rest of the clock is alright, 00:20:59.00\00:21:00.61 the man insisted, 00:21:00.62\00:21:01.66 it's just the hands that need fixing. 00:21:01.67\00:21:04.75 With a patient sigh, the repair person, 00:21:04.76\00:21:07.18 you know, told him that, you know, 00:21:07.19\00:21:08.50 it was the inside of the clock, 00:21:08.51\00:21:10.08 what just about made the hands go around 00:21:10.09\00:21:12.50 and that it was the inside of the clock 00:21:12.51\00:21:14.80 that needed fixing, not the hands. 00:21:14.81\00:21:17.45 The man agreed to bring in the rest of the clock 00:21:17.46\00:21:20.08 and when he did that the clock repair person 00:21:20.09\00:21:22.67 discovered that the mainspring 00:21:22.68\00:21:23.96 of the clock was broken, that's the part inside. 00:21:23.97\00:21:28.10 He put in a new mainspring and then the clock 00:21:28.11\00:21:30.67 just worked perfectly and the hands 00:21:30.68\00:21:33.26 went around again just as they were supposed to do 00:21:33.27\00:21:35.97 and it again told the correct time. 00:21:35.98\00:21:38.51 Well, this made the man very happy and he went home. 00:21:38.52\00:21:42.19 That story makes me think of how we are sometimes. 00:21:42.20\00:21:45.62 You know, maybe something isn't just the way it should be. 00:21:45.63\00:21:49.22 Perhaps we've a temper that gets out of control, 00:21:49.23\00:21:52.39 or we can be a little selfish sometimes, 00:21:52.40\00:21:54.49 you know, we don't want to share with others, 00:21:54.50\00:21:56.97 or maybe we just have trouble 00:21:56.98\00:21:58.56 cooperating with our teachers, with our parents. 00:21:58.57\00:22:00.55 Maybe our parents want us to do something that, 00:22:00.56\00:22:02.86 you know, we don't really want to do. 00:22:02.87\00:22:04.50 Maybe it's taking out the trash or doing the dishes, 00:22:04.51\00:22:08.74 but then we try to fix it, don't we? 00:22:08.75\00:22:10.67 We try to keep those angry words 00:22:10.68\00:22:12.64 from just coming right out to our lips. 00:22:12.65\00:22:15.57 We try to share even when we don't want to, 00:22:15.58\00:22:18.32 and we kind of force ourselves to obey our parents 00:22:18.33\00:22:21.03 when we'd rather do things our own way. 00:22:21.04\00:22:23.50 You know, it's a good thing to try, 00:22:23.51\00:22:25.36 isn't it boys and girls? 00:22:25.37\00:22:26.51 But the real problem is just like that man's broken clock. 00:22:26.52\00:22:30.58 We need to have a new in sign instead of a new mainspring, 00:22:30.59\00:22:34.55 we need a new heart, and a new way of thinking. 00:22:34.56\00:22:37.20 We can ask, Jesus, to fix us to change us 00:22:37.21\00:22:40.72 and to put the mind of Jesus right inside of us, 00:22:40.73\00:22:43.75 so that we won't have to think in the wrong ways, wont we? 00:22:43.76\00:22:47.32 You know, Jesus didn't loose His temper, did He? 00:22:47.33\00:22:49.84 And He was the most unselfish person who ever lived. 00:22:49.85\00:22:54.16 You know, He respected authority too, 00:22:54.17\00:22:57.36 and Jesus wants us to obey our moms and dads and He wants us 00:22:57.37\00:23:00.97 to respect our teachers and our grownups, doesn't He? 00:23:00.98\00:23:04.88 You know, if we have Jesus living in us, 00:23:04.89\00:23:07.80 we'll find Him easier to be like Him, 00:23:07.81\00:23:10.15 and I want to be like Jesus, don't you? 00:23:10.16\00:23:13.06 You know, why not when you say your prayers today? 00:23:13.07\00:23:15.74 Why don't you say to, Jesus, to please fix your bad habits, 00:23:15.75\00:23:20.42 to make you a new person inside? 00:23:20.43\00:23:22.79 Don't just fix my hands, but fix the mainspring, 00:23:22.80\00:23:27.08 wouldn't that be wonderful? 00:23:27.09\00:23:28.51 Because we want Jesus to make us a new person for Him, 00:23:28.52\00:23:32.11 so that we can go to heaven with Him someday, don't we? 00:23:32.12\00:23:35.97 Well, right now, boys and girls, 00:23:35.98\00:23:37.22 do you know what time it is? 00:23:37.23\00:23:38.65 It's mailbox time. 00:23:38.66\00:23:40.33 Let's see, if we have some letters, okay. 00:23:40.34\00:23:43.02 Let's go right over here to the mailbox, 00:23:43.03\00:23:44.88 and do you think we have some? 00:23:44.89\00:23:47.91 And we do.
