Hi boys and girls. 00:00:25.79\00:00:27.18 How would you like to take a ride on this ship? 00:00:27.21\00:00:29.66 This is a very old ship. 00:00:29.69\00:00:31.81 Look at all the sails on it. 00:00:31.84\00:00:34.03 Quite a few sails on this ship, isn't there? 00:00:34.06\00:00:37.03 That makes the ship go very fast. 00:00:37.06\00:00:38.99 And what do you think this is? 00:00:39.02\00:00:41.21 You're right, it's and anchor. 00:00:41.24\00:00:43.53 Long ago sailing ships were the only kind of ships around 00:00:43.56\00:00:47.76 in which people could take long journeys. 00:00:47.79\00:00:49.22 There were no steam ships, 00:00:49.25\00:00:51.02 or motors or fancy cruise ships. 00:00:51.05\00:00:52.48 Our Bible story today will tell you about a man 00:00:52.51\00:00:56.07 who had the adventure of a lifetime 00:00:56.10\00:00:58.18 when he boarded a sailing ship. 00:00:58.21\00:00:59.94 When you listen to our Bible story see if you can tell 00:00:59.97\00:01:03.74 what if you think this man liked sailing or not. 00:01:03.77\00:01:05.90 I do know of some creatures who love boats and ships. 00:01:05.93\00:01:09.28 They are not human beings. 00:01:09.31\00:01:10.87 They are not plants. 00:01:10.90\00:01:12.32 They are little sea animals called Barnacles. 00:01:12.35\00:01:15.10 Sailors and ship owners don't like Barnacles. 00:01:15.13\00:01:17.94 You see Barnacles are little shell fish that float around 00:01:17.97\00:01:21.10 in the water until they bump into something solid, 00:01:21.13\00:01:24.02 like a ship. 00:01:24.05\00:01:25.27 And then they attach themselves right here. 00:01:25.30\00:01:29.26 All over the bottom and right below the water line. 00:01:29.29\00:01:32.45 They attach themselves to whatever they've stuck. 00:01:32.48\00:01:35.44 And they just stay there. 00:01:35.47\00:01:36.45 In a short time a huge ship can be covered with Barnacles 00:01:36.48\00:01:40.03 below this water line. 00:01:40.06\00:01:41.28 And then the owners have to pull the ships out of 00:01:41.31\00:01:43.81 water and clean off the Barnacles and make any repairs 00:01:43.84\00:01:47.41 that they need to. 00:01:47.45\00:01:48.45 Sometimes the owners don't realize how covered with 00:01:48.48\00:01:51.19 Barnacles their ship may be. 00:01:51.22\00:01:52.60 And that can be dangerous. 00:01:52.63\00:01:54.37 If the Barnacles grow thicker on the ship 00:01:54.40\00:01:56.73 they can actually slow it down or affect the way it 00:01:56.76\00:01:59.68 handles in the water. 00:01:59.71\00:02:00.87 And they have been known 00:02:00.90\00:02:02.55 to grow so thick, they have actually sunk a vessel. 00:02:02.59\00:02:06.06 Can you imagine that? 00:02:06.09\00:02:07.78 All those Barnacles. 00:02:07.81\00:02:09.49 Well these Barnacles remind me of some people. 00:02:09.52\00:02:12.98 Jesus has been called the Ship of Zion. 00:02:13.01\00:02:15.39 And sometimes people are attracted to 00:02:15.42\00:02:17.63 Jesus and His church. 00:02:17.66\00:02:18.75 And they want to be a part of it. 00:02:18.78\00:02:20.62 But they don't exactly want to be in it. 00:02:20.65\00:02:22.99 Like Barnacles they attach themselves to the outside, 00:02:23.02\00:02:26.26 and they just go along for the ride. 00:02:26.29\00:02:28.21 Boys and girls, Jesus is coming soon. 00:02:28.24\00:02:31.43 Don't be a Barnacle, but rather be a passenger on God's ship. 00:02:31.46\00:02:35.52 Letting Jesus steer your life. 00:02:35.55\00:02:37.56 Won't you give Him your heart today? 00:02:37.59\00:02:39.64 Now Ranger Jim is going to show us another creature 00:02:39.67\00:02:43.38 that lives in the water. 00:02:43.41\00:02:44.58 Hi boys and girls, Ranger Jim here again today. 00:02:52.01\00:02:53.81 We have something special for you to see. 00:02:53.84\00:02:55.84 The beautiful Bull Frog. 00:02:55.87\00:02:57.56 Okay, doesn't he have beautiful eyes? 00:02:57.59\00:03:00.13 And he sings and tells all the ladies, in his pond, that he 00:03:00.16\00:03:03.37 is the most beautiful, wonderful frog in all the world. 00:03:03.40\00:03:07.06 Of course these large creatures are amphibians. 00:03:07.09\00:03:10.31 They live in the water or on land. 00:03:10.34\00:03:12.18 And in fact, have you collected tad-poles? 00:03:12.21\00:03:14.61 They're fun aren't they? 00:03:14.64\00:03:15.71 Pollywogs, when they start to develop. 00:03:15.74\00:03:17.75 In the Northern part of the United States, 00:03:17.78\00:03:19.48 the bull frog takes two years to develop. 00:03:19.51\00:03:22.09 If you have found tad-poles in a pond near your house 00:03:22.12\00:03:25.73 and kept them in a jar. 00:03:25.76\00:03:26.73 They were most likely toads, but if you did find a 00:03:26.74\00:03:29.47 bull frog you may have been disappointed, 00:03:29.51\00:03:31.49 he didn't develop very quickly. 00:03:31.53\00:03:33.19 And you thought something was wrong. 00:03:33.22\00:03:34.78 No, they are a large creature and it normally will take two 00:03:34.81\00:03:38.34 years for them to develop from the tad-pole stage 00:03:38.37\00:03:40.75 through the Pollywog developing feet and to 00:03:40.78\00:03:43.93 eventually lose their tail and become what they are. 00:03:43.97\00:03:46.76 Now this creature, though he may look very easy going 00:03:46.80\00:03:51.24 in nature, he doesn't seem to cause any problems for anyone. 00:03:51.27\00:03:53.97 And if you think that, it is because your not a dragon fly. 00:03:54.00\00:03:57.97 Or a damsel fly, or you are not a small frog that comes by 00:03:58.00\00:04:02.24 or a fish, or anything else might come his way. 00:04:02.27\00:04:05.93 Because Mr. bull frog, it is said of him and accurately so, 00:04:05.96\00:04:09.82 a frog will eat anything he is big enough to eat. Okay? 00:04:09.85\00:04:12.49 Now most people don't realize that bull frogs have teeth. 00:04:12.52\00:04:16.68 And their teeth are located in an unusual place. 00:04:16.71\00:04:19.58 Their teeth are located in the back of their mouth, 00:04:19.61\00:04:21.73 up near their eyes. 00:04:21.76\00:04:23.65 And there are no muscles or no supporting tissue between 00:04:23.68\00:04:28.63 the frog's eyes and inside of his mouth. 00:04:28.66\00:04:30.88 I can press like this, and his eyes will go closed 00:04:30.91\00:04:33.42 just like that. 00:04:33.45\00:04:34.61 When a frog swallows something, 00:04:34.64\00:04:36.75 he reaches out with his tongue grabs it and pulls it 00:04:36.78\00:04:39.00 back to his mouth. 00:04:39.03\00:04:40.11 Quite often grasping it with his big front feet. 00:04:40.14\00:04:42.50 And pulls it into his mouth. 00:04:42.53\00:04:43.83 And begins to spread his mouth as wide as he can get it. 00:04:43.86\00:04:46.66 And as he swallows it, his eyes bulge out and you 00:04:46.70\00:04:49.99 would think they were going to pop out like cherry pits. 00:04:50.02\00:04:52.03 For all the world you wouldn't think they would 00:04:52.06\00:04:54.77 stay in his head, but when he forces it into the back 00:04:54.81\00:04:57.33 of his throat, then he swallows his food whole. 00:04:57.56\00:04:59.66 Okay, and as you can see by feet, very large web hind feet, 00:04:59.69\00:05:04.65 for swimming, he is an excellent swimmer. 00:05:04.68\00:05:06.91 When you frighten him, he dives into the water and swims 00:05:06.94\00:05:09.86 onto the bottom and there he stays until it is safe to stick 00:05:09.89\00:05:12.93 his head up and come looking all around. 00:05:12.96\00:05:14.96 Okay, now in the spring of the years, when they are mating, 00:05:14.99\00:05:17.94 all of the males sit around and call back and forth. 00:05:17.98\00:05:20.99 I don't know if you have heard them in the spring of the year. 00:05:21.02\00:05:23.13 Sometimes I imitate them, but now I won't because it is on 00:05:23.16\00:05:26.66 television, but when you go out to a large pond, if you can 00:05:26.69\00:05:30.24 make the jurung sound, quite often they will answer you. 00:05:30.27\00:05:32.51 They are trying to attract a females, and then the females 00:05:32.54\00:05:36.28 lay the eggs. 00:05:36.31\00:05:37.42 Now a female bull frog can easily lay 25 thousand eggs. 00:05:37.45\00:05:42.06 They are contained in a jelly-like substance 00:05:42.09\00:05:45.21 and on a little string like thing. 00:05:45.24\00:05:46.78 So those strings of that and then the male comes along 00:05:46.82\00:05:49.73 and he takes a part from his body that we call a 00:05:49.77\00:05:52.86 fertilization that goes on their serve, a milky substance 00:05:52.89\00:05:55.83 and that mixes with the water. 00:05:55.86\00:05:57.84 And that causes the eggs to hatch. 00:05:57.87\00:06:00.44 So these creatures have been known to jump vertically into 00:06:00.47\00:06:04.00 the air 3 and 1/2 feet. 00:06:04.03\00:06:05.87 As the dragon fly, goes flying by thinking he's perfectly safe. 00:06:05.90\00:06:08.93 Mr. bull frog is watching, He leaps in the air, flips 00:06:08.97\00:06:12.00 out his tongue and grabs him and falls back. 00:06:12.04\00:06:14.48 These creatures have been know to even 00:06:14.51\00:06:16.72 eat very small snakes. 00:06:16.75\00:06:18.18 So, the bull frog is a very, very interesting creature. 00:06:18.21\00:06:22.45 Many people hunt these and consider them to be a delicacy. 00:06:22.48\00:06:25.69 Once again Ranger Jim can tell you that as a small boy 00:06:25.72\00:06:28.78 I have done that. 00:06:28.81\00:06:30.30 Okay, but today it sounds rather yucky to me, okay? 00:06:30.33\00:06:34.39 So I am think I'm thankful that Jesus in my life has 00:06:34.42\00:06:37.87 changed not only the way I think about these creatures, 00:06:37.90\00:06:40.71 but He changed my appetite. 00:06:40.74\00:06:42.78 We have another creature that we are going to share 00:06:42.81\00:06:46.08 with you here. 00:06:46.11\00:06:47.08 And we will place this one in the bucket and then we will 00:06:47.09\00:06:49.73 take this creature, I hope that wasn't too much 00:06:49.77\00:06:52.02 of a disturbance. 00:06:52.06\00:06:53.03 This is the beautiful Box turtle. 00:06:53.04\00:06:54.94 The Eastern Box Turtle and once again we can identify this 00:06:54.97\00:06:59.79 creature by looking at her eyes. 00:06:59.82\00:07:01.97 Now we talked about the Eastern Painted turtle, you could tell 00:07:02.00\00:07:06.06 by their claws, but with this one we look at them, and 00:07:06.09\00:07:08.91 every one of the Eastern Box turtle, that's a lady 00:07:08.95\00:07:11.73 has beautiful brown eyes. 00:07:11.76\00:07:13.74 If it's a boy box turtle, it has red eyes. 00:07:13.77\00:07:18.08 So if you find a box turtle, and be sure boys and girls, 00:07:18.11\00:07:21.41 it's a box turtle. 00:07:21.44\00:07:22.41 I, would once again, encourage you do not pick up turtles 00:07:22.42\00:07:25.72 unless you have an adult with you that you can be ascertain 00:07:25.75\00:07:28.18 what the turtle is because if you pick up the wrong turtle, 00:07:28.22\00:07:30.65 they can injure you. 00:07:30.68\00:07:32.30 But if there is an adult and they say yes, that's the 00:07:32.33\00:07:34.82 Eastern Box turtle, then you can pick the turtle up gently. 00:07:34.85\00:07:38.03 And look at it's eyes. 00:07:38.06\00:07:39.40 If it has brown eyes, it's a girl, if it has red eyes, 00:07:39.43\00:07:43.60 it's a boy. 00:07:43.63\00:07:44.60 These box turtles have been kept in captivity for more 00:07:44.61\00:07:48.62 than seventy-five years. 00:07:48.65\00:07:50.21 So this turtle we can ascertain the age, to a certain extent, 00:07:50.24\00:07:56.49 by feeling of the bottom of his plastron, 00:07:56.53\00:07:58.62 as it goes along on the gritty surface of gravel, 00:07:58.66\00:08:03.10 sand and what have you, it wears this sharp 00:08:03.13\00:08:06.28 and it's very smooth for an older turtle. 00:08:06.31\00:08:09.39 Now many people in the past, it use to be quite a thing, 00:08:09.42\00:08:12.26 for people to take and carve. 00:08:12.29\00:08:14.16 This is much the same as your fingernail, 00:08:14.19\00:08:15.70 it doesn't injure the turtle at all. 00:08:15.74\00:08:16.89 People would carve a date, if they found the turtle today, 00:08:16.92\00:08:20.49 and it was the year 2000, they might carve the year 1902. 00:08:20.52\00:08:25.33 And then someone found it two years later they would be sure 00:08:25.36\00:08:29.56 to think that the turtle was at least a hundred years old. 00:08:29.59\00:08:31.67 Of course that wasn't true. 00:08:31.70\00:08:33.21 But this, once again, is another one of those wonderful 00:08:33.24\00:08:36.12 creatures that God hath made for us to see and enjoy. 00:08:36.15\00:08:38.61 So you remember that if you pick it up, it has brown eyes 00:08:38.64\00:08:42.83 it's a girl, if it has red eyes, it's a boy. 00:08:42.86\00:08:45.75 You can be assure of that as you can be assure as what 00:08:45.78\00:08:49.63 Ranger Jim always tells you. 00:08:49.66\00:08:51.44 Don't forget to tell Jesus that you love Him. 00:08:51.47\00:08:54.67 Because Jesus surely does love you. 00:08:54.70\00:08:57.69 Hello boys and girls. 00:09:04.81\00:09:05.78 Have you ever had a really bad day? Boy have I got a story to tell you. 00:10:45.42\00:10:47.85 I won't believe it myself if it hadn't actually happened to me. 00:10:47.88\00:10:51.14 It all happened like this. 00:10:51.17\00:10:52.59 Oh, by the way, my name is Jonah, and I am a prophet 00:10:52.62\00:10:55.26 of the Lord. 00:10:55.30\00:10:56.27 And it happened like this. 00:10:56.28\00:10:57.33 One day the word of the Lord came to me and commanded me 00:10:57.36\00:11:00.06 to go to that big city of Nineveh, 00:11:00.09\00:11:01.97 and tell them that God had seen how wicked and cruel 00:11:02.00\00:11:04.14 they were, and if they didn't repent of their sins, 00:11:04.17\00:11:06.45 God was going to destroy them with fire. 00:11:06.48\00:11:09.22 Nineveh, why if He had asked me to go to Jerusalem 00:11:09.25\00:11:12.68 or to Samaria, or even Damascus, I'd been glad to go. 00:11:12.71\00:11:16.67 But not Nineveh. 00:11:16.70\00:11:18.26 Nineveh was known for it's cruelty. 00:11:18.29\00:11:20.27 Nineveh was known for, for, for the meanness that they had. 00:11:20.30\00:11:24.32 Why they would torture people until they wished they were dead 00:11:24.35\00:11:27.09 No telling what they would have done to me. 00:11:27.12\00:11:29.17 I decided right then and there I wasn't going to Nineveh. 00:11:29.20\00:11:32.33 I was going to go as far away from God as I could get. 00:11:32.36\00:11:35.41 And from Nineveh. 00:11:35.44\00:11:36.84 And so I ran as fast as I could to that city by the sea. 00:11:36.87\00:11:41.24 And I went, I went, found a ship that was going in the 00:11:41.27\00:11:45.09 opposite direction of Nineveh. 00:11:45.13\00:11:46.75 And I bought a ticket, and I got on board, and I 00:11:46.78\00:11:49.98 went down below deck where I could be all by myself. 00:11:50.01\00:11:52.02 And I thought to myself, this is not so bad. 00:11:52.05\00:11:54.93 By the time I get to where this ship is going, 00:11:54.96\00:11:57.08 God will have forgotten all about me. 00:11:57.11\00:11:58.87 And then maybe He would send somebody else to Nineveh. 00:11:58.90\00:12:02.51 I was so exhausted from running so far, I fell sound asleep. 00:12:02.54\00:12:06.83 But I want to tell you, that when they pulled up 00:12:06.86\00:12:10.05 the anchor on that ship and they headed out to sea, 00:12:10.08\00:12:12.57 God was as close to me as ever. 00:12:12.60\00:12:14.84 Well, the wind picked up and waves picked up. 00:12:16.47\00:12:18.87 And before long there was such a storm as there's 00:12:18.90\00:12:22.19 never been before. 00:12:22.22\00:12:23.46 Even the Captain and the sailors realized that there was 00:12:23.49\00:12:26.69 something eerie about this storm. 00:12:26.72\00:12:28.08 And they believe that the God's had caused that. 00:12:28.11\00:12:31.12 And so they started to call out on all their Gods. 00:12:31.15\00:12:33.53 And they called out to Baal, and to Ashtaroth 00:12:33.56\00:12:36.28 And to Moloch. 00:12:36.31\00:12:37.38 But nothing happened, the storm only got worse. 00:12:37.41\00:12:40.89 Well for some reason, the Captain, went down below deck. 00:12:40.92\00:12:44.05 And that's when he found me. 00:12:44.08\00:12:45.23 I was sound asleep and he grab me and he shook me 00:12:45.26\00:12:48.71 and he said, "Wake up you sleeper. " 00:12:48.74\00:12:50.20 "Don't you know that we are in a life and death situation?" 00:12:50.23\00:12:53.25 "Don't you know that the Gods are angry with us, why 00:12:53.28\00:12:55.78 don't you get up and pray to your God. 00:12:55.81\00:12:57.13 Maybe He can save us. " 00:12:57.16\00:12:58.13 Pray to my God? 00:12:58.14\00:13:00.91 I didn't want to do that, I was running away from Him. 00:13:00.94\00:13:02.82 I stumbled out on deck and when I got there all of the... 00:13:02.85\00:13:05.81 the Captain and the sailors they decided that they were 00:13:05.84\00:13:08.42 going to cast lots to figure out just who the God's 00:13:08.45\00:13:10.57 were angry with. 00:13:10.61\00:13:11.61 And they cast lots and when they did, the lot fell on me. 00:13:11.64\00:13:15.20 And that is when I realized right then and there 00:13:15.23\00:13:18.18 you can never run away from God, God knows where you are. 00:13:18.21\00:13:21.33 Before long, they gathered around me and they started to 00:13:21.36\00:13:24.97 fire questions at me, and they said, "Who are you?" 00:13:25.00\00:13:27.38 "What occupation do you have?" 00:13:27.41\00:13:29.73 "What nationality are you, and what are you doing on 00:13:29.76\00:13:32.20 this ship anyway?" 00:13:32.23\00:13:33.20 And that's when I told them I am a Hebrew. 00:13:33.21\00:13:36.72 And I worship the God Who made the heaven and the earth. 00:13:36.75\00:13:39.57 And the One who made the sea, and the dry land. 00:13:39.60\00:13:42.35 And Who was in charge of the wind and the waves. 00:13:42.38\00:13:44.95 And then I told them all about Nineveh. 00:13:44.98\00:13:47.94 I told them God told me to tell them He was going to 00:13:47.97\00:13:51.98 destroy them with fire because of their wickedness 00:13:52.01\00:13:54.31 if they didn't repent and I was afraid to go to Nineveh. 00:13:54.34\00:13:56.92 Why they knew how cruel those people were. 00:13:56.95\00:13:59.17 And the Captain said, "What can we do so your God 00:13:59.20\00:14:02.55 won't be angry with us?" 00:14:02.58\00:14:03.81 I told them the only thing you can do was throw me over board. 00:14:03.84\00:14:08.31 They didn't want to do it at first, but there was no other 00:14:08.34\00:14:10.82 way and so, they picked me up, and before they threw me 00:14:10.85\00:14:13.56 overboard, they called out to the God of Jonah, and they 00:14:13.59\00:14:16.50 said please don't be angry with us, this is what he 00:14:16.53\00:14:18.87 told us to do, and they gave me a fling over the ship. 00:14:18.91\00:14:21.18 I landed in the water, and when I landed on the water the wind 00:14:21.21\00:14:24.84 was suddenly quiet. 00:14:24.87\00:14:25.97 And the waves stopped, all except the one that was 00:14:26.00\00:14:29.01 right over my head. 00:14:29.04\00:14:30.01 It came down and hit me with such force that it drove me 00:14:30.02\00:14:32.09 right down into the ground. 00:14:32.12\00:14:34.25 Into the water. 00:14:34.28\00:14:36.31 I'll tell you I went down into that dark, green water of that 00:14:36.34\00:14:40.79 sea, I thought I was going to drown. 00:14:40.82\00:14:43.03 All I wanted was just one more breath of air. 00:14:43.06\00:14:46.23 But then I felt this, this horrible feeling of falling, 00:14:46.26\00:14:51.22 I was slipping and sliding down some, 00:14:51.25\00:14:53.50 Oh! some awful tube. 00:14:53.53\00:14:56.95 Now instead of wishing I could have one more breath of air, 00:14:56.98\00:15:00.46 Now I was wishing I never had to breath again for that 00:15:00.49\00:15:03.50 foul smell that was coming from where I was going. 00:15:03.53\00:15:05.70 Before long I landed in, I couldn't believe this, but I 00:15:05.73\00:15:09.62 landed in the stomach of a whale. 00:15:09.65\00:15:11.29 Oh it was horrible down there, I could see anything 00:15:11.32\00:15:14.13 but I could feel the dead fish, sea weed and I couldn't move 00:15:14.16\00:15:17.47 my arms, they were pinned around and I 00:15:17.50\00:15:19.77 couldn't move at all. 00:15:19.80\00:15:20.83 Now all of a sudden the whale just went down, 00:15:20.86\00:15:23.11 then he just took off and went up and I got so sick 00:15:23.14\00:15:26.57 I just passed right out. 00:15:26.60\00:15:27.88 When I came to I was trying to figure out where exactly I was. 00:15:27.91\00:15:31.79 Then I remembered, Oh No! 00:15:31.82\00:15:35.50 This is horrible, I going to tell you I prayed as I never, 00:15:35.53\00:15:38.95 You'd prayed too if you were in that dreadful place. 00:15:38.98\00:15:41.35 I prayed like I never prayed, and I asked the Lord to forgive 00:15:41.38\00:15:44.49 me for even thinking I could run away from Him. 00:15:44.52\00:15:46.43 And oh Lord if you just give me one more, one more 00:15:46.46\00:15:50.01 chance to go to Nineveh, I prayed, just one more chance. 00:15:50.04\00:15:52.79 I'll tell them just exactly what You told me to tell them. 00:15:52.82\00:15:55.07 Well I don't know how long I was in the ship, in the whale 00:15:55.10\00:15:59.26 stomach, exactly, but I was in there for something like 00:15:59.29\00:16:02.75 parts of three days. 00:16:02.78\00:16:03.75 In and out of consciousness. 00:16:03.76\00:16:06.04 But in some wonderful way. 00:16:06.07\00:16:08.74 God spoke to that fish and he spit me out on dry ground. 00:16:08.77\00:16:12.44 I'm going to tell you when I felt that sunshine and I 00:16:12.47\00:16:16.52 breathed in that pure air, oh it was so wonderful 00:16:16.56\00:16:20.57 and I grabbed my hands in the dirt. 00:16:20.61\00:16:21.92 It was so wonderful to be on dry ground. 00:16:21.95\00:16:24.45 Oh I thanked the Lord, and I told Him I am going to do 00:16:24.48\00:16:27.44 just exactly what you said. 00:16:27.48\00:16:28.46 I'm going to get to Nineveh as fast as I could. 00:16:28.49\00:16:30.15 I got up to run but my feet were like, my legs were like 00:16:30.18\00:16:33.10 jelly, I could hardly move. 00:16:33.13\00:16:34.22 I crawled, I didn't care if I had to crawl all the way to 00:16:34.25\00:16:36.93 Nineveh, I'd crawl, I'd get there and I tell them just 00:16:36.96\00:16:39.61 exactly what God told me to tell them. 00:16:39.64\00:16:41.05 But before long my legs got a little stronger and started to 00:16:41.08\00:16:43.95 run as fast as I could. 00:16:43.98\00:16:45.34 By the time I got to Nineveh, rumors had already reached 00:16:45.37\00:16:49.07 that city of what had happened to me. 00:16:49.10\00:16:51.31 When I told them that I was Jonah, and what had happened 00:16:51.34\00:16:54.47 to me, Oh I looked a mess, you can believe they believed me. 00:16:54.50\00:16:57.69 Why I looked a mess my clothes were half digested. 00:16:57.72\00:17:00.13 My hands and arms, my whole skin was yellow. 00:17:00.16\00:17:04.24 Oh you should have seen my hair, and the seaweed and the 00:17:04.27\00:17:07.32 Oh the smell was terrible, but I told them, this is terrible 00:17:07.35\00:17:10.77 what happened to me but it is going to be worse for you 00:17:10.80\00:17:12.16 if you don't repent from your wickedness. 00:17:12.19\00:17:13.63 God's going to destroy you in forty days. 00:17:13.66\00:17:16.27 Oh the people believed from the less all the way to the greatest 00:17:16.30\00:17:20.81 They believed. 00:17:20.84\00:17:21.81 Never had there been such a revival, 00:17:21.82\00:17:24.07 such a turning away from sin. 00:17:24.10\00:17:25.52 And to think I tried my best to run away from the job. 00:17:25.55\00:17:30.57 Oh, I learned a lesson. 00:17:30.60\00:17:32.64 I learned that you can never run and hide from God. 00:17:32.67\00:17:35.30 And then when God asks you to do something, the best thing to 00:17:35.33\00:17:38.94 do is do it right then, with all your might. 00:17:38.97\00:17:41.02 Oh, I hope you can learn a lesson from my story. 00:17:41.05\00:17:44.97 And remember kids, remember that wherever you go, 00:17:45.00\00:17:49.28 and whatever you do, God is with you and He loves you. 00:17:49.31\00:17:56.12 Jesus loves me, this I know. 00:18:11.34\00:18:19.91 For the Bible tells me so. 00:18:19.94\00:18:28.48 Little ones to Him belong, 00:18:28.51\00:18:37.33 They are weak, but He is strong. 00:18:37.36\00:18:47.19 Yes Jesus loves me. 00:18:47.32\00:18:56.31 Yes Jesus loves me, 00:18:57.64\00:19:04.08 Yes Jesus loves me. 00:19:05.61\00:19:13.90 The Bible tells me so. 00:19:13.93\00:19:22.06 Oh how He loves you and me. 00:19:24.28\00:19:30.86 Oh how He loves you and me, 00:19:32.80\00:19:39.40 He gave His life, Oh what more could He give? 00:19:41.16\00:19:50.52 Oh how He loves you. 00:19:51.40\00:19:55.70 Oh how He loves me, 00:19:55.73\00:19:59.99 Oh how He loves you and me. 00:20:00.65\00:20:08.31 Oh how He loves you and me, 00:20:09.95\00:20:15.08 Oh how He loves you and me. 00:20:16.86\00:20:24.29 He gave His life, Oh what more could He give? 00:20:25.92\00:20:35.03 Oh how He loves you. 00:20:35.94\00:20:40.43 Oh how He loves me. 00:20:41.12\00:20:44.77 Oh how He loves you and me. 00:20:45.49\00:20:54.05 Wasn't Jonah a funny little man? 00:21:11.32\00:21:13.03 Just think, preaching converted a whole city. 00:21:13.07\00:21:16.42 And then he went and pouted because God had forgiven 00:21:16.45\00:21:19.01 the people he warned. 00:21:19.04\00:21:20.46 You know Jonah had some lessons to learn. 00:21:20.49\00:21:22.70 And he learned them the hard way. 00:21:22.73\00:21:24.33 First to be swallowed by that great big fish, 00:21:24.36\00:21:27.70 how stinky that must have been inside. 00:21:27.73\00:21:29.51 And then to have God scold you for complaining. 00:21:29.54\00:21:32.46 But he did learn his lessons didn't he? 00:21:32.49\00:21:35.02 And he learned that God always gives us second chances. 00:21:35.05\00:21:37.94 A chance to start over again no matter what 00:21:37.97\00:21:40.27 mistakes we've made. 00:21:40.30\00:21:41.49 You know there is a Poet by the name of Louisa Fletcher, 00:21:41.53\00:21:45.00 and she wrote a poem about second chances. 00:21:45.03\00:21:47.41 It's called the Land of Beginning Again, 00:21:47.44\00:21:49.30 and I'd like to read it for you. 00:21:49.33\00:21:50.83 It says, I wish there was some wonderful place, 00:21:50.86\00:21:54.08 called the Land of Beginning again. 00:21:54.11\00:21:56.05 Were all our mistakes, and all our heartaches, 00:21:56.08\00:21:59.22 and all of our poor selfish grief's, 00:21:59.25\00:22:01.50 could be dropped like a shabby ole coat at the door, 00:22:01.53\00:22:04.33 and never be put on again. 00:22:04.36\00:22:06.83 You know that's a lovely idea, isn't it? 00:22:06.86\00:22:09.33 If all our mistakes could be undone. 00:22:09.36\00:22:11.66 If all our thoughtless words could be unsaid. 00:22:11.69\00:22:14.29 And if all the things we should of done, but didn't do, 00:22:14.32\00:22:17.58 were suddenly, just done. 00:22:17.61\00:22:19.79 Wouldn't that be wonderful? 00:22:19.82\00:22:21.59 The good news is that Jesus does give us second chances, 00:22:21.62\00:22:25.70 and third chances and fourth chances. 00:22:25.73\00:22:27.52 As many chances as we need. 00:22:27.55\00:22:29.70 Confess our sins and start over again. 00:22:29.73\00:22:31.96 You might say that He is the King of the Land 00:22:31.99\00:22:34.36 of Beginning again. 00:22:34.39\00:22:35.58 We're truly sorry for the wrong things we have done, 00:22:35.62\00:22:38.45 no matter how bad they are, 00:22:38.48\00:22:40.30 He will forgive us. 00:22:40.33\00:22:41.75 Not only will He forgive us, but He will blot out those sins, 00:22:41.78\00:22:45.70 and any memory of those sins, right out of the Universe. 00:22:45.73\00:22:48.58 Isn't that wonderful? 00:22:48.61\00:22:49.82 And it will be as if we never sinned. 00:22:49.85\00:22:52.29 You know Jesus said that He would remove our sins from us. 00:22:52.32\00:22:55.47 As far as the east is from the west. 00:22:55.50\00:22:57.48 And how far is that? 00:22:57.51\00:22:59.23 No one can measure it, it goes on forever. 00:22:59.26\00:23:02.27 And that is what Jesus meant, there is just no 00:23:02.30\00:23:05.26 end to His love and His forgiveness. 00:23:05.29\00:23:07.97 I'm so glad that Jesus give us second chances. 00:23:08.00\00:23:11.02 Aren't you? 00:23:11.05\00:23:12.05 Now it's mailbox time. 00:23:12.08\00:23:13.96 Let's take a look and see what is in our mailbox. 00:23:14.00\00:23:16.41 You can
