It's time to share there's a world out there 00:00:03.33\00:00:06.89 Looking for a friend like Jesus 00:00:06.90\00:00:10.13 It's time to share there's a world out there 00:00:10.14\00:00:13.31 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:00:13.32\00:00:16.74 Let's tell them that He loves us so 00:00:16.75\00:00:20.20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:00:20.21\00:00:26.35 Hi, boys and girls. 00:00:26.36\00:00:27.33 I have something special I want to show to you, 00:00:27.34\00:00:30.12 but before I do, I want to share a story 00:00:30.13\00:00:32.69 I heard sometime ago that couldn't have really happened, 00:00:32.70\00:00:35.67 but the story does say something very important. 00:00:35.68\00:00:38.58 It seems that there was trouble in the beehive 00:00:38.59\00:00:40.96 and the young bees were buzzing 00:00:40.97\00:00:42.35 and complaining and stirring up rebellion. 00:00:42.36\00:00:45.01 Why do we have to do the things 00:00:45.02\00:00:46.35 the same old way all the time, they wanted to know? 00:00:46.36\00:00:49.65 Just look at the way this beehive is built six sides 00:00:49.66\00:00:53.03 and last year's beehive had six sides 00:00:53.04\00:00:55.52 and the year before that, and the year before that, 00:00:55.53\00:00:58.67 But this is the best shape for a beehive, 00:00:58.68\00:01:00.55 the older bees said. 00:01:00.56\00:01:02.17 It's strong and easy to fly in and out of 00:01:02.18\00:01:04.41 and just right for storing honey. 00:01:04.42\00:01:06.73 Besides, a young bee interrupted, 00:01:06.74\00:01:08.83 I am sure, we can build a better beehive, 00:01:08.84\00:01:12.49 you older bees just have no imagination. 00:01:12.50\00:01:15.65 Very well, you're welcome to try, 00:01:15.66\00:01:17.48 droned the older bees and so they did. 00:01:17.49\00:01:19.94 The young bees decided to build a round beehive, 00:01:19.95\00:01:23.00 but it fell apart. 00:01:23.01\00:01:24.29 And then they decided to build a shape, 00:01:24.30\00:01:26.27 one shaped like a triangle. 00:01:26.28\00:01:27.93 It was most attractive, 00:01:27.94\00:01:29.49 but the storage rooms were far too cramped. 00:01:29.50\00:01:32.21 Then they decided to build a four-sided beehive. 00:01:32.22\00:01:35.14 Now, the honey leaked out of it 00:01:35.15\00:01:36.85 and next they tried an eight-sided beehive, 00:01:36.86\00:01:39.05 but that in the middle collapsed. 00:01:39.06\00:01:41.23 Time went by, they tried this shape 00:01:41.24\00:01:43.48 and that shape and they worked 00:01:43.49\00:01:44.90 through the hot summer 00:01:44.91\00:01:46.00 and into the cool, crisp days of fall. 00:01:46.01\00:01:48.64 The older bees had fallen asleep 00:01:48.65\00:01:50.47 and no longer paid any attention to them. 00:01:50.48\00:01:53.02 And the young bees were growing older themselves. 00:01:53.03\00:01:56.05 Finally, one day after dozens of plans 00:01:56.06\00:01:58.06 have been suggested and tried and failed. 00:01:58.07\00:02:00.82 One young bee piped up. "I have an idea. 00:02:00.83\00:02:03.85 Why don't we try building a six-sided beehive?" 00:02:03.86\00:02:06.73 "Sure, let's try it," they said, 00:02:06.74\00:02:08.95 we've tried everything else. 00:02:08.96\00:02:10.60 And, of course, it worked. How proud they were. 00:02:10.61\00:02:13.46 This is perfect, they buzzed. 00:02:13.47\00:02:15.34 We have built the perfect beehive. 00:02:15.35\00:02:17.70 From now on, all beehives should be built with six sides 00:02:17.71\00:02:21.49 and so the young bees buzzed loudly, 00:02:21.50\00:02:24.03 sure that they were alone in all the world, 00:02:24.04\00:02:26.85 the smartest bees ever. 00:02:26.86\00:02:28.64 When all the time, of course, a six-sided beehive 00:02:28.65\00:02:31.57 was what bees had always built. 00:02:31.58\00:02:34.75 There's a lesson here, and the lesson is simple, 00:02:34.76\00:02:37.77 we can learn from others' experience. 00:02:37.78\00:02:39.93 It's fine to try new ideas 00:02:39.94\00:02:41.75 and it's wonderful to think in new ways, 00:02:41.76\00:02:43.99 but don't forget the lessons of the past. 00:02:44.00\00:02:46.70 They can save us lots of time in trouble 00:02:46.71\00:02:48.78 instead of buzzing around when we could be gathering honey. 00:02:48.79\00:02:53.47 The beehive I'm holding is called a skep. 00:02:53.48\00:02:56.96 I got it from our friend Ranger Jim. 00:02:56.97\00:02:59.31 It's made from saltgrass and wrapped in bamboo. 00:02:59.32\00:03:02.50 If you look closely, you can even see 00:03:02.51\00:03:03.95 the bamboo lines right here. 00:03:03.96\00:03:06.80 You don't find this beehive very often 00:03:06.81\00:03:08.62 in the United States, but it is still used 00:03:08.63\00:03:10.71 in many parts of the world. 00:03:10.72\00:03:12.37 Now, Ranger Jim is going to show us 00:03:12.38\00:03:14.29 a beehive with real bees in it. 00:03:14.30\00:03:16.41 Hi, there, boys and girls. 00:03:24.11\00:03:25.42 Ranger Jim here, we have another 00:03:25.43\00:03:26.99 interesting program for you. 00:03:27.00\00:03:28.11 We're talking about bees today. 00:03:28.12\00:03:30.12 There are many tasks within the hive of bees 00:03:30.13\00:03:32.12 that must be taken care of. 00:03:32.13\00:03:33.79 We have certain bees that go out 00:03:33.80\00:03:35.15 and collect water and bring into the hive 00:03:35.16\00:03:36.91 and they store it there. 00:03:36.92\00:03:38.05 We have other bees that go out 00:03:38.06\00:03:39.42 and collect pollen and nectar and bring it in for food. 00:03:39.43\00:03:42.51 The water is primarily used for cooling the hive. 00:03:42.52\00:03:46.22 On a hot summer day, the hive can get very warm, 00:03:46.23\00:03:48.89 when the hive begins to overheat, 00:03:48.90\00:03:50.42 the bees go and uncap the water 00:03:50.43\00:03:53.28 and get their body's hair covered with water 00:03:53.29\00:03:56.24 and they crawl back and forth 00:03:56.25\00:03:57.35 across the surface of the hive. 00:03:57.36\00:03:59.16 And other bees that are on air conditioning duty 00:03:59.17\00:04:01.29 are in front of the hive are beating their wings. 00:04:01.30\00:04:03.65 Some of them are lined up on the left, 00:04:03.66\00:04:05.23 their bodies are pointed inward, 00:04:05.24\00:04:07.43 the others on the other side are pointed out. 00:04:07.44\00:04:09.42 The summer drawing in fresh cool air 00:04:09.43\00:04:11.13 and we find bees stationed throughout the entire hive, 00:04:11.14\00:04:14.02 they're bringing the cool fresh air in, 00:04:14.03\00:04:15.97 bringing the old moisture-laden air 00:04:15.98\00:04:18.50 out the other side, so that they control 00:04:18.51\00:04:20.59 both the humidity and the air that flows there. 00:04:20.60\00:04:23.46 So in the colder part of the day in the winter time, 00:04:23.47\00:04:27.42 in the fall even when it starts getting cool, 00:04:27.43\00:04:29.96 the bees have to keep the hive warm. 00:04:29.97\00:04:32.01 And so to make the hive warmer, 00:04:32.02\00:04:33.73 they simply beat their wings and run about in a circle 00:04:33.74\00:04:36.47 and generate heat, much the same as we do 00:04:36.48\00:04:38.73 if we're out in the field and we're playing. 00:04:38.74\00:04:40.93 We generate heat and we begin to perspire, 00:04:40.94\00:04:43.01 so the bees do the same. 00:04:43.02\00:04:44.99 We have a group of bees that are assigned 00:04:45.00\00:04:47.21 the duty of keeping the hive clean 00:04:47.22\00:04:48.77 by carrying out the bodies of the bees 00:04:48.78\00:04:50.83 that have died of natural causes, of old age. 00:04:50.84\00:04:53.60 They carry them out and dump them. 00:04:53.61\00:04:55.51 Now, the first task of a bee when they come forth 00:04:55.52\00:04:57.80 from the cell as an adult is to clean their own cell, 00:04:57.81\00:05:01.37 that's a good idea for us, isn't it? 00:05:01.38\00:05:03.21 To clean our bed and clean our room. 00:05:03.22\00:05:05.54 One of the most admirable traits, 00:05:05.55\00:05:06.76 I think of the bee is this fact that, 00:05:06.77\00:05:08.78 a bee is always willing to help. 00:05:08.79\00:05:11.13 If there's an emergency in the hive, 00:05:11.14\00:05:12.70 something that needs to be done, 00:05:12.71\00:05:14.31 every bee is willing to take part and to participate. 00:05:14.32\00:05:17.40 So if there's a break in one of the cells 00:05:17.41\00:05:19.31 and the honey begins to drip out, 00:05:19.32\00:05:21.06 there is no hesitancy on anyone's part, 00:05:21.07\00:05:22.94 they give up the task they've been doing, 00:05:22.95\00:05:24.62 the work they've been doing, 00:05:24.63\00:05:25.81 and join hands to help the stem the flow of that. 00:05:25.82\00:05:29.24 So if you're on air conditioning 00:05:29.25\00:05:31.42 or if you're on the clean-up crew, 00:05:31.43\00:05:33.84 whatever you're doing, they all work together. 00:05:33.85\00:05:36.18 Now bees will sting, but the bee only stings 00:05:36.19\00:05:39.47 in defense of her body or of her hive. 00:05:39.48\00:05:43.08 So we have to keep that in mind. 00:05:43.09\00:05:44.51 So I have had ladies tell me that bee stung me 00:05:44.52\00:05:47.14 and I didn't molest the bee in anyway. 00:05:47.15\00:05:48.81 I wasn't even near her home, but she stung me. 00:05:48.82\00:05:50.81 I was coming out of church in fact. 00:05:50.82\00:05:52.65 And I tell the dear lady that you had something 00:05:52.66\00:05:54.42 that smelled nice on your hair 00:05:54.43\00:05:55.84 or behind your ear and the bee examines 00:05:55.85\00:05:58.39 every possibility for food. 00:05:58.40\00:06:00.27 So when the bee begin to come and check your perfume, 00:06:00.28\00:06:03.66 your hair perhaps the wind caught it 00:06:03.67\00:06:05.47 and blew over her and made her captive suddenly 00:06:05.48\00:06:08.93 and she responded by sticking her stinger in you. 00:06:08.94\00:06:12.65 So this is something that happens 00:06:12.66\00:06:14.10 and once again let me caution you, 00:06:14.11\00:06:16.08 if you're a young person, 00:06:16.09\00:06:17.06 a boy or girl, when you come up on a colony of bees 00:06:17.07\00:06:19.69 or we call a colony of bees a family of bees, 00:06:19.70\00:06:21.85 it's a large white box 00:06:21.86\00:06:23.74 that the bee-keeper keeps his bees in. 00:06:23.75\00:06:25.97 Okay, you stay away from that, 00:06:25.98\00:06:27.55 that is very, very, very dangerous, 00:06:27.56\00:06:30.60 because the bees will attack you 00:06:30.61\00:06:32.56 if you get near their home. 00:06:32.57\00:06:33.94 And we can't fault them for that, can we? 00:06:33.95\00:06:36.04 Because this is where all the young bees is, 00:06:36.05\00:06:38.43 this is where the mother bee, this is their home. 00:06:38.44\00:06:40.52 They must protect their food 00:06:40.53\00:06:41.78 from other insects like hornets and wasp, 00:06:41.79\00:06:46.05 even ants and raccoons and opossums, and bears. 00:06:46.06\00:06:50.82 There are a lot of creatures out there in the wild 00:06:50.83\00:06:53.33 that have a sweet tooth and enjoy honey. 00:06:53.34\00:06:55.64 And so the bees must defend their honey 00:06:55.65\00:06:57.76 because they're going to depend upon it this winter. 00:06:57.77\00:07:00.44 The bee store the honey 00:07:00.45\00:07:01.48 and then when the weather gets cold, 00:07:01.49\00:07:02.74 they all go inside and then all that they have to do 00:07:02.75\00:07:06.68 during the winter time is just stay comfortable, 00:07:06.69\00:07:08.79 eat the honey, you can go 00:07:08.80\00:07:10.19 up to the hive in the dead of winter, 00:07:10.20\00:07:12.02 it may be zero degrees and snow everywhere, 00:07:12.03\00:07:15.35 but on the top of each home where the bees live 00:07:15.36\00:07:18.03 it's nice and warm circle on the top. 00:07:18.04\00:07:19.73 There will be no snow on the top 00:07:19.74\00:07:21.26 because they keep the temperature 00:07:21.27\00:07:22.83 inside the hive a very comfortable 70 degrees. 00:07:22.84\00:07:26.26 So the bees that work hard all summer 00:07:26.27\00:07:29.31 are laying by foods to survive the winter 00:07:29.32\00:07:31.75 and it serves them very well. 00:07:31.76\00:07:33.82 So I want to use this bee that I'm holding here 00:07:33.83\00:07:36.55 in little tweezers as a little bit of demonstration now 00:07:36.56\00:07:39.29 and we hope that it works. 00:07:39.30\00:07:40.33 I'm going to put the bee here and try to show you 00:07:40.34\00:07:42.88 what happens to the bee if you're unkind to the bee 00:07:42.89\00:07:46.10 and they swarm out and grab you. 00:07:46.11\00:07:49.63 We're going to try a honey bee sting here 00:07:49.64\00:07:51.47 and now see what happens, boys and girls. 00:07:51.48\00:07:53.80 We can introduce this honey bee to sting. 00:07:53.81\00:07:58.05 Here we go. 00:07:58.06\00:07:59.49 You can see the tiny little stinger 00:08:02.27\00:08:04.97 that's in my finger. 00:08:04.98\00:08:06.31 All of you can see it from the camera 00:08:09.00\00:08:10.16 well enough on the top of there, 00:08:10.17\00:08:11.42 there's a little bag of poison. 00:08:11.43\00:08:13.75 If I just scrape along the skin very carefully like this, 00:08:13.76\00:08:17.03 right there, I dislodged the stinger, 00:08:17.04\00:08:18.82 the stinger sticking straight up in the air. 00:08:18.83\00:08:20.66 You can see that. 00:08:20.67\00:08:22.48 In a test that is the very flimsy bag of poison. 00:08:22.49\00:08:26.50 And there's a little muscle, 00:08:26.51\00:08:27.67 we call an involuntary muscle that is still squeezing, 00:08:27.68\00:08:30.43 as close as I am I can see it. 00:08:30.44\00:08:32.52 And it is forcing the poison down through the stinger 00:08:32.53\00:08:36.24 like a hypodermic needle into our flesh 00:08:36.25\00:08:38.94 and that's the way that that works. 00:08:38.95\00:08:41.64 So that is the bee stinger, 00:08:41.65\00:08:42.90 so you're wise when a bee stings you, 00:08:42.91\00:08:45.18 don't slap it, if you do, 00:08:45.19\00:08:47.93 it will make a large red spot, and be very painful. 00:08:47.94\00:08:50.58 A lot of people says, "Oh, take my fingers and pull it out." 00:08:50.59\00:08:53.01 If you do that, you squeeze the bag 00:08:53.02\00:08:54.38 and you squeeze all of the venom in the wound. 00:08:54.39\00:08:56.84 Now, you take your thumb nail 00:08:56.85\00:08:58.57 or a knife blade or something, 00:08:58.58\00:08:59.69 it go long just bud the flesh like that and scrape 00:08:59.70\00:09:03.51 and then you'd do just as this, 00:09:03.52\00:09:05.03 then you would just turned out like that 00:09:05.04\00:09:06.66 then you can congratulate yourself 00:09:06.67\00:09:08.56 and you won't have all of that poison in your body. 00:09:08.57\00:09:11.10 So there once again as always Ranger Jim 00:09:11.11\00:09:14.05 telling you that Jesus always does it right. 00:09:14.06\00:09:17.19 Be sure to tell Jesus you love Him, 00:09:17.20\00:09:18.80 because He really does love you. This is great. 00:17:40.07\00:17:42.54 Looks very, it looks very good, I can't wait to-- 00:17:42.55\00:17:44.73 Looks great. Bite into that. 00:17:44.74\00:17:47.95 Well, until next time. 00:17:47.96\00:17:49.79 Keep cooking. And eat healthy. 00:17:49.80\00:17:51.82 My name is Sarah, I'm Abraham's wife. 00:17:57.92\00:18:02.55 Abraham and I lived in Ur of the Chaldees for a long time. 00:18:02.56\00:18:07.03 And then one day, God came to Abraham and told him, 00:18:07.04\00:18:10.50 He wanted him to move to a far country, 00:18:10.51\00:18:12.86 He wanted him to be a missionary, 00:18:12.87\00:18:14.44 and He would make of him a great nation. 00:18:14.45\00:18:16.98 He would have the promised heir. 00:18:16.99\00:18:19.63 We thought about it a little bit. 00:18:19.64\00:18:21.60 And then we decided that we would go. 00:18:21.61\00:18:25.64 So, Father Terah and nephew Lot, 00:18:25.65\00:18:29.90 and all of our servants and all of the livestock, 00:18:29.91\00:18:33.87 we made a long procession and we had 600 miles to go 00:18:33.88\00:18:37.63 and we moved very slow. 00:18:37.64\00:18:41.23 We traveled a long and then finally 00:18:41.24\00:18:43.20 we came to a place call Haran. 00:18:43.21\00:18:46.27 We camped at Haran and Father Terah was very ill, 00:18:46.28\00:18:50.16 and he died while we were there. 00:18:50.17\00:18:52.82 Then we moved on to Egypt. 00:18:52.83\00:18:57.27 Egypt was a place that Abraham feared, 00:18:57.28\00:19:00.48 he feared the wrath of Pharaoh 00:19:00.49\00:19:01.88 because Pharaoh asked him who I was and Abraham said, 00:19:01.89\00:19:06.18 "Oh, she's my sister and not my wife." 00:19:06.19\00:19:10.06 After Egypt we moved on to Canaan, 00:19:10.07\00:19:12.50 the promised land, a beautiful place, 00:19:12.51\00:19:15.52 so lush and green. 00:19:15.53\00:19:18.42 Abraham and I decided, we would live in the country, 00:19:18.43\00:19:21.88 but Lot chose the city life and so He settled in Sodom. 00:19:21.89\00:19:27.51 Life went on for a little while 00:19:27.52\00:19:29.45 and then we went about our duties 00:19:29.46\00:19:34.31 and we -- I thought to myself, 00:19:34.32\00:19:36.99 well, how are we gonna be a great nation, 00:19:37.00\00:19:39.73 when we have no child, we have no descendants. 00:19:39.74\00:19:43.95 I was getting old by now and so I just decided, 00:19:43.96\00:19:47.45 I guess, I'd run ahead of the Lord 00:19:47.46\00:19:48.82 and I've told Abraham, 00:19:48.83\00:19:50.38 "Take my handmaid Hagar and marry her." 00:19:50.39\00:19:55.15 Abraham was a good man 00:19:55.16\00:19:56.13 and he didn't think that was too great, 00:19:56.14\00:19:58.43 but then he condescended and he married Hagar, 00:19:58.44\00:20:02.33 and they had a child. 00:20:02.34\00:20:04.48 And that child they named Ishmael. 00:20:04.49\00:20:07.42 Ishmael was a nice child, Abraham loved him, 00:20:07.43\00:20:10.74 but God came to Abraham and He said, 00:20:10.75\00:20:13.12 "No, he is not the promised heir." 00:20:13.13\00:20:17.25 A few years went back, 13 and God came to Abraham again. 00:20:17.26\00:20:23.55 Abraham told, God told Abraham, 00:20:23.56\00:20:26.89 "Sarah is going to have a baby." 00:20:26.90\00:20:28.90 Well, that was totally impossible. 00:20:28.91\00:20:31.41 We were so old, I went in the tent 00:20:31.42\00:20:33.85 and I just laughed, and laughed, and laughed 00:20:33.86\00:20:36.44 because I thought that was so foolish. 00:20:36.45\00:20:39.63 But, you know, God sent us a baby, 00:20:39.64\00:20:42.05 a baby boy and we named him Isaac, 00:20:42.06\00:20:44.98 which means laughter. 00:20:44.99\00:20:46.72 Isaac grew and was such a nice child. 00:20:46.73\00:20:50.45 We had many dinners and suppers 00:20:50.46\00:20:53.12 and much happiness and then, 00:20:53.13\00:20:56.79 you know, there was a lot of quarreling in our home. 00:20:56.80\00:21:01.19 And Hagar was so jealous. 00:21:01.20\00:21:03.85 Oh, I couldn't stand it and so I said to Abraham, 00:21:03.86\00:21:06.88 just send her and Ishmael away. 00:21:06.89\00:21:10.47 He was a good man, you know, and he hated to do it. 00:21:10.48\00:21:14.26 But he got water and food 00:21:14.27\00:21:15.85 and he sent Hagar and Ishmael away. 00:21:15.86\00:21:19.56 After they were gone, life went on 00:21:19.57\00:21:22.58 and we had a nice family 00:21:22.59\00:21:24.55 and we had a good time together, Isaac grew. 00:21:24.56\00:21:29.22 And one day, I was in the tent busy 00:21:29.23\00:21:31.99 and I didn't know what Abraham and Isaac were doing, 00:21:32.00\00:21:35.20 but they went on a long walk, 00:21:35.21\00:21:37.07 they went to the top of Mount Moriah, 00:21:37.08\00:21:39.68 but you see, I didn't know all of this 00:21:39.69\00:21:41.63 until that evening when they came home. 00:21:41.64\00:21:44.72 And I was horrified at what he told me, 00:21:44.73\00:21:48.19 I couldn't believe. 00:21:48.20\00:21:50.17 Oh, I would not have wanted them to go if I had known, 00:21:50.18\00:21:54.20 but you see, Abraham had passed the test 00:21:54.21\00:21:57.77 and Isaac was home and I was so happy, 00:21:57.78\00:22:01.25 so happy to have him home. 00:22:01.26\00:22:05.03 Isaac grew into manhood. 00:22:05.04\00:22:08.03 He was the promised heir. 00:22:08.04\00:22:10.47 You see, Abraham and I just 00:22:10.48\00:22:12.23 had to have faith and patience. 00:22:12.24\00:22:15.64 We had to trust in God's promises. 00:22:15.65\00:22:18.40 And you know, as you go about your duties each day, 00:22:18.41\00:22:22.14 just remember that God stands by His promises 00:22:22.15\00:22:26.36 and you must always put your faith and trust in God. 00:22:26.37\00:22:30.44 Sarah loved Jesus very much 00:22:40.57\00:22:42.42 and she learned to trust Him, didn't she? 00:22:42.43\00:22:45.10 Boys and girls, I'm gonna talk you today about reading. 00:22:45.11\00:22:48.79 And did you know that the Bible talks 00:22:48.80\00:22:50.23 about Jesus reading. 00:22:50.24\00:22:52.02 I'm going to read to you now 00:22:52.03\00:22:53.13 from the fourth Chapter of Luke, 00:22:53.14\00:22:54.86 which is verse 16 and 17. 00:22:54.87\00:22:57.05 If you have a Bible nearby, why don't you read with me? 00:22:57.06\00:23:00.57 It says, "And He came to Nazareth, 00:23:00.58\00:23:02.50 where He had been brought up. 00:23:02.51\00:23:03.88 And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue 00:23:03.89\00:23:06.60 on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read." 00:23:06.61\00:23:09.71 That's what He said, he stood up to read. 00:23:09.72\00:23:12.32 "And there was delivered unto Him, 00:23:12.33\00:23:13.78 the book of the prophet Isaiah. 00:23:13.79\00:23:15.74 And when He had opened the book, 00:23:15.75\00:23:17.06 He found the place where it was written." 00:23:17.07\00:23:20.22 I would've loved to have heard 00:23:20.23\00:23:21.54 Jesus read the Bible, wouldn't you? 00:23:21.55\00:23:24.05 It must have been a strange 00:23:24.06\00:23:25.28 and really wonderful experience for him 00:23:25.29\00:23:27.37 because so many of the scriptures 00:23:27.38\00:23:28.76 that He read were about Himself. 00:23:28.77\00:23:31.04 The scriptures told about the time of His birth 00:23:31.05\00:23:33.12 and the place He'd be born 00:23:33.13\00:23:35.02 and many other things about Him. 00:23:35.03\00:23:36.77 I'm sure Jesus must have been a good reader. 00:23:36.78\00:23:39.28 In fact, in Bible times, people who made a mistake 00:23:39.29\00:23:42.01 while reading the scriptures in public 00:23:42.02\00:23:43.86 were not allowed to read again. 00:23:43.87\00:23:46.22 Can you imagine that? 00:23:46.23\00:23:47.57 And these people understood 00:23:47.58\00:23:48.80 that the Bible was a sacred book 00:23:48.81\00:23:50.84 and should be read reverently and with expression. 00:23:50.85\00:23:54.03 It's a wonderful thing to be able to read, isn't it? 00:23:54.04\00:23:56.80 And do your best to become a good reader 00:23:56.81\00:23:59.00 and read the stories in the Bible for yourself. 00:23:59.01\00:24:01.73 You know, in the books known as the gospel, 00:24:01.74\00:24:04.01 Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, 00:24:04.02\00:24:06.13 you can read Jesus own words, isn't that a privilege. 00:24:06.14\00:24:11.08 Perhaps you can share your ability 00:24:11.09\00:24:12.82 to read with someone else. 00:24:12.83\00:24:14.11 Many people love to hear the Bible read to them 00:24:14.12\00:24:16.59 and that's one way you can share Jesus, isn't it? 00:24:16.60\00:24:19.24 Why don't you try it?
