00:03 It's time to share there's a world out there
00:07 looking for a friend like Jesus
00:10 It's time to share there's a world out there,
00:13 let's tell them that He loves us so,
00:17 let's tell them that He loves us so.
00:20 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time.
00:25 Hi, boys and girls.
00:27 As you can see I have a pitcher of water,
00:30 just clear sparkling water,
00:32 just gonna pour a little in the glass right here,
00:35 doesn't that sound good?
00:37 I know that would taste wonderful
00:38 in the hot summer day
00:39 Matter of fact I think I'm gonna taste some right now.
00:43 Umm! It does taste so good.
00:47 Perhaps you think I am going to tell you
00:49 how important it is to drink water.
00:51 And it is true that you need at least
00:52 eight glasses a day in order to stay healthy,
00:55 but that's not what I want to tell you.
00:57 Today, I want to share a story
00:59 about a little girl named Ruthie,
01:01 who had too much water,
01:03 that's right, too much water.
01:06 Ruthie was playing with her friend Beverley near lake.
01:08 And so she decided that it would be great
01:10 fun to jump off a barrel
01:12 that was near the shore into the water.
01:15 Watch me, she yelled.
01:17 And before Beverley could blink
01:18 Ruthie, had climbed up into the barrel
01:21 and given a mighty leap into the deeper part of the lake.
01:25 Now Ruthie could not swim and she could dog paddle
01:28 a little and she thought that would be good enough
01:30 to get her back to the shallow water, but it wasn't.
01:34 Suddenly she was trashing in the water
01:36 and she was going no where.
01:38 She started to swallow the lake.
01:42 She saw Beverley staring at her with wide frightened eyes,
01:45 are you drowning she screamed.
01:47 Then a strong arm grabbed her and a muscular young man
01:51 hold her out of the cold green water and up on to shore.
01:56 Oh, how thankful, Ruthie, was for that kind Samaritan.
02:01 Now I have a question to ask you,
02:04 was the water bad? Was the lake an enemy?
02:07 And the answer is no.
02:09 Water is good and lakes are wonderful,
02:12 but too much of something even something good can be harmful.
02:16 If Ruthie had swallowed much more water,
02:19 she would have drowned.
02:20 The Bible tells us to be temperate in all things,
02:24 that means don't over do even the good things
02:26 and stay away from the bad things.
02:29 Now today Ranger Jim, is talking turkey.
02:41 Hi boys and girls, Ranger Jim here again today.
02:43 We have some of the interesting creatures
02:45 for you to see and learn about today.
02:47 In fact, we have several that you will see
02:49 in the background, but we are talking
02:50 about the turkey today.
02:52 And perhaps you know that Thanksgiving Day in America,
02:56 is some time called Turkey Day.
02:58 Well, there are many of us that don't observe that
03:00 in that way that we respond by going out
03:04 and killing the turkey to eat.
03:06 We find other things that are better
03:07 for us to eat that we enjoy,
03:08 but we have many friends who do and that's okay.
03:11 And perhaps some day we can give them some information,
03:14 it will help them in their diet to reform
03:17 and find better things to eat and then it won't cost
03:20 the life of our friends, the turkeys.
03:23 Now the turkeys, many times are referred to
03:25 as perhaps the ugliest creature that God ever made.
03:29 Well, I think they're beautiful.
03:30 Fact is when they all time displays
03:32 and puffs his feathers all out,
03:34 that they stick out and he vibrates them,
03:37 he is truly a beautiful creature.
03:39 Now the part that you see hanging down around his neck
03:42 we call those wattles, okay?
03:44 And so they hang down and then he has a very fleshy thing
03:48 that hangs down all from the top of his bill,
03:51 that seems to getting his way of eating,
03:53 this is called a snozzle, isn't that interesting?
03:56 Wattles and a snozzle, but when he gets his feathers
03:59 all puffed up and he starts stomping the ground
04:02 to impress the female,
04:03 he truly is a beautiful creature.
04:05 Now the hens they go around and they usually ignore him.
04:08 They say, ah, you are not nearly as beautiful
04:10 as you think, I think you are ugly,
04:12 but he continues to do that.
04:14 He comes up whenever they are there,
04:15 he begins to puff out his feathers.
04:17 When one turkey begins to gobble,
04:19 all the other gobblers in the area gobble, okay.
04:22 So it gets to be like the roosters,
04:24 one rooster claims I am the most beautiful rooster here
04:26 on this farm and all the others say,
04:28 oh no you are not I am, listen to this call.
04:30 And that's the way the gobblers are,
04:32 they gobble, and they gobble, and they gobble.
04:34 And out in the wild we have many wild turkey in America.
04:37 They in fact we have more wild turkey in America today
04:39 then we've ever had before,
04:41 because of our wise management of them, okay.
04:45 And you can go out into the woods
04:47 where there are many wild turkeys
04:48 just before a thunder storm and it's amazing.
04:51 Any loud sound will cause turkeys,
04:54 wild turkeys to gobble.
04:55 Any old male kind will challenge any loud sound
04:58 and when you have a sudden clap of thunder,
05:01 you can hear gobblers all over the woods.
05:03 Oh that wasn't the turkey gobble that you heard, okay.
05:06 That was the peacock near by that was calling
05:08 and he claims he is the most beautiful.
05:09 But in the woods when it thunders
05:11 all of the time gobblers will gobble, gobble, gobble.
05:14 At night if a Barred Owl goes huuhh! huuhh! huuhh! huuhh! Ah
05:17 all the gobblers begin to sound off,
05:19 and it gobble, gobble, gobble,
05:20 gobble, gobble, gobble, everywhere.
05:22 But sooner or later if he continues to display
05:25 and show how beautiful he is,
05:27 one of the beautiful young hens
05:28 looks at him and says "oh,
05:30 he is sort of a nice looking fellow"
05:33 and so that encourages him, so he continues on gobbling
05:36 what have you, and trying to impress her.
05:38 This usually takes place about the third year
05:41 when he is fully feathered and then he becomes mature
05:44 to mate, all right.
05:46 And so then the hen when she finally is receptive,
05:49 she does mate with the gobbler
05:51 and though then she is ready to lay her eggs.
05:54 Now, turkeys as some other birds
05:56 peacock and other birds have a very interesting
05:59 defense mechanism for their nest.
06:01 She will go out and randomly lay an egg
06:03 in a very obvious place and then she comes back
06:06 and check to make sure that the raccoon hasn't found it,
06:09 or nothing has bothered that
06:10 and when she find such an area,
06:12 then that's a safe place to build her nest.
06:15 Now she comes back the day after she left the egg there
06:17 and a raccoon got it,
06:18 she is not going to build a nest near there, right?
06:20 She is wiser than that,
06:22 so she finds a more secluded area.
06:24 And you just heard over my shoulder,
06:26 a gobbler that was gobbling
06:27 and saying he was the most beautiful one in the world,
06:30 all right, after the hen has established the nest
06:34 usually under a logger and heap shed,
06:37 well hidden and well camouflage,
06:39 she begins to lay eggs and she may lay a clutch,
06:41 we call it a clutch of eggs, that may have 15,
06:44 18 or 20 all right.
06:46 And she is an excellent mother.
06:48 She cares for them very careful and when they hatch.
06:51 Many people say that she's as good a mother
06:53 as is a banty hen.
06:55 You've seen the little banty hens,
06:56 it had tiny little babies, may be hatch 15 or 20
06:59 and raise 90 percent of them and that's the way
07:01 with the hen turkey and so she rears them up.
07:04 And by the second day when they're dry,
07:05 they are able to travel with her mother
07:07 and they go across the field looking for grasshoppers
07:09 and crickets and other delicious foods, right?
07:12 We think it's yucky, but the turkeys love it,
07:14 they eat blueberries, they eat blackberries,
07:16 wild grapes, things of that nature.
07:19 And so this is the story of the turkey.
07:21 And once again boys and girls,
07:22 we find with the turkey as with every creature
07:25 that God made.
07:26 We see His love and His great creative ability.
07:30 Isn't that a wonderful thing to study this things
07:32 that God made for us to see and enjoy,
07:34 so just on queue the turkey signed off for us,
07:37 but I will close by saying,
07:39 this is Ranger Jim as always saying,
07:41 don't forget to tell Jesus that you love Him,
07:44 because He really does love you.
07:53 Hello boys and girls,
07:55 the Bible has a lot of good news for us.
07:58 Revelation 22, verse 20 tells us about Jesus coming.
08:01 Andrews can you say that verse for us, please?
08:03 "Surely, I will come quickly."
08:06 "Surely, I will come quickly."
08:09 Jesus is coming soon.

10:02 Boys and girls we want to ready.
10:11 Hi today we're gonna make a very delicious recipe.
10:14 Catie, why don't you tell them what we're gonna making.
10:16 We're gonna be making "Fry Chick Dressing."
10:19 Hey I am gonna read the recipe for you.
10:46 Delicious ingredients. All right, let's get started.
10:50 Okay, first we're going to add the cornbread crumbs
10:54 and all the crumbs, put those right in.
10:59 Can I tell you what we do with our water,
11:02 you need three cups of liquids,
11:04 so we took the juice from our can,
11:08 there is enough FryChic can and we mixed it with the water
11:12 --make three cups of liquid,
11:14 so we have here our liquid, so we're gonna dump that in.
11:19 Yes. And this is can for the FryChick we have over here
11:24 and it's a great alternate for chicken
11:28 and it's very good, taste very good.
11:31 It's also low fat. Yes.
11:33 Okay, so I'm going to tell you
11:37 what we did to our onions also,
11:39 onions and celery.
11:41 This is--we took half of our margarine
11:44 and dumped it in this and we stuck in the microwave
11:46 until the onions are clear
11:49 and then--so I go ahead and dump this in,
11:53 its our onions and our celery.
11:59 Okay, okay, let's add the breadcrumbs, okay.
12:06 Now I will go ahead and mix it up.
12:10 Okay, it is ready.
12:14 Why don't you go head and add a Fry Chick,
12:17 right. I just love FryChick. Yes.
12:21 It's a great substitute for chicken and stuff.
12:25 And It's very good. Very good.
12:31 You want to make sure you mix up real good
12:32 and get all the stuff in the bottom
12:34 in the corner and stuff. It looks good, okay.
12:40 And add a margarine, this for margarine.
12:46 Okay. You want to help me stir Jody?
12:52 Okay, get your spoon and help me.
12:56 Umm, it smells good.
12:59 Why don't you add our G Washington's Broth.
13:02 Okay. Sprinkle it around.
13:05 Why don't you to tell them about that too.
13:08 Well this is a really good broth,
13:10 it's Washington's Golden Broth.
13:14 G Washington's and it's really great
13:16 especially in this recipe and just really good broth.
13:22 Okay, okay finish stirring this and.
13:25 You needs a bit.
13:26 Yes we needs to add McKay's chicken seasoning. Okay.
13:32 Okay, we tasted that in really good.
13:34 Get all in the bottom.
13:41 I love this stuff.
13:44 This is also good at Thanksgiving,
13:46 and uses a dressing in the place of chicken,
13:49 in broth dressing.
13:50 So, but you can also just eat it
13:53 any time because we love it.
13:57 Okay, looks good.
14:00 Why don't you grab that pan for us? Okay.
14:06 Just keep these out of the way, okay.
14:09 First of all, we gonna need to spray our pan can.
14:13 Just want to take, let's pour oil spray,
14:16 spray a pan. Okay,
14:18 then you go ahead and dump this in.
14:21 Now hold it, ah, yum.
14:29 This is really great for like on Saturday afternoons
14:32 or like brunch, they accompany over.
14:37 And I just love this recipe.
14:40 Me too! That looks like--Oh,
14:43 when you stir it around before we put anymore on
14:46 if we do put more in.
14:49 looks like it might be enough,
14:51 looks like it's we made little too much.
14:54 Okay, here we go.
14:59 Looks good, I can't wait to try this.
15:04 Okay, we have a sample here to show you
15:07 what it looks like, when it's all finished.
15:10 It's really good. We'll see how it look.
15:15 You are going to stick this in the oven for 350 degrees
15:19 for 30 to 40 minutes and remember again,
15:21 dial to help you.
15:23 Umm! This will be delicious with mashed potatoes,
15:26 wouldn't it? And a salad.
15:28 I can't wait to try this. Me too.
15:31 Well, until next time keep cooking and eat healthy.
15:43 Cousin! Hi, Guess what? What?
15:46 I've just went to the well. Where is your water pot?
15:50 I've forgot it. I was so excited,
15:53 something really special happened to me.
15:56 Are you in a hurry? Yes, I am doing my laundry.
15:59 I have something more important to tell you
16:01 than doing your laundry.
16:03 I don't think so. Wait. What?
16:07 I met somebody really special at the well.
16:11 Getting water you met somebody special,
16:14 we go to the well every day.
16:16 I know it and this day was different for me.
16:20 I went to the well, I went to get water
16:22 just like I always do and I saw at the corner of my eye
16:26 that there was a man sitting there,
16:28 and he was a Jew. A Jew! Yes,
16:32 and you what cousin, He asked me for a drink.
16:36 Well, I hope you didn't give Him one.
16:39 I've forgot too. Well, good.
16:42 No, I wanted to give Him one. You wanted to.
16:47 Yes, when I asked Him,
16:51 what did He want a drink for from a Samaritan woman.
16:55 He said that if I knew who was asking
16:59 that I would ask him for living water.
17:02 How does He know who you are?
17:05 I'm the only one in town that even talks to you anymore.
17:09 How, I mean, how can he know who you're?
17:13 It didn't seem to matter with Him,
17:15 that was the neat thing about it.
17:18 He is Jesus, the one we've heard
17:20 about that has done all the miracles,
17:23 healing thus the sick making the blind to see,
17:27 even healing leprosy,
17:29 but He does something even more special.
17:32 He heals people inside. The Jesus! Yes.
17:36 How can you be sure?
17:38 Well, when I asked Him for a drink,
17:41 He said to me to go call my husband
17:44 and I said, I don't have a husband.
17:48 And he said, you may answer right,
17:50 because you have five husbands
17:52 and the one that you are with now is not your husband.
17:56 He knew all that? He knew everything about me.
18:00 He knows everything that I have ever done
18:03 in my whole life and He still loved me,
18:07 I could tell that, I could feel it in His voice.
18:10 He told me that if I would drink this living water
18:15 that it would change me, and you know what?
18:18 It did because the more He talked,
18:20 I realized that I hadn't been a very good person,
18:24 I was ashamed of the bad things that I've done.
18:27 And I didn't wanted to do those things
18:28 remember last week when I told you
18:30 how I'd cheated the merchant.
18:32 I felt bad about that,
18:34 I didn't feel bad about it last week,
18:36 but I realized it was wrong.
18:38 And I realized here was somebody
18:40 that was giving me something better,
18:42 I wanted something better.
18:44 He said He would give it to me and He did.
18:47 And I was so excited that I just had to come
18:51 and I had to tell everyone and I wanted to find you,
18:53 because I knew you would want this living water too.
18:56 Well, you know, come to think about it,
18:59 you do look different, you look changed.
19:04 Oh, my goodness, do you think He would give me
19:07 some of this living water? I know He would love too.
19:11 He will make you happy just like He has made me.
19:13 And I haven't been this happy, I've never been this happy.
19:17 I have never seen you look like this before.
19:20 Do you think He is still there?
19:22 He is always there for us, come, come to the well,
19:25 I know He will be glad to help you.
19:27 Take me, forget the laundry. Come on.
19:30 Let's go see Jesus. Yes.
19:39 The woman in our Bible story
19:40 today shared Jesus, didn't she?
19:42 She was so excited about Jesus that she couldn't keep still.
19:46 She ran around all her neighbors
19:48 and told them about Jesus.
19:50 It didn't matter to her who they were.
19:52 Some of her neighbors didn't like her
19:54 and had been mean to her.
19:55 But she shared with Jesus with them just the same.
19:58 That's what happens when we meet Jesus.
20:01 We feel His love for us and it just fills up our hearts
20:04 and overflows and then we are so full of love
20:07 that we can't have that feelings toward anyone else,
20:09 even if they have done bad things to us.
20:12 But sometimes if we don't talk with Jesus everyday
20:15 or when we forget to pray,
20:17 when we let other things fill our mind,
20:19 so that there is no room for Jesus
20:21 even if it's for a little while,
20:23 we find it hard to share.
20:25 And we find it hard to love and to be kind
20:27 especially to people who haven't been very nice to us.
20:32 You know, Jonnie have that problem,
20:34 you know, the other girls at school
20:36 they decided they didn't wanted to be friends
20:38 with her anymore
20:39 and they wouldn't speak to her or play with her.
20:42 In fact, they even stuck their tongues out at her,
20:44 isn't that awful?
20:46 And they whispered about her behind her back
20:49 and to her other friends.
20:51 You know, Jonnie was really sad.
20:53 What had she done to make these girls so mean to her?
20:57 At first, she cried a lot
20:59 and after while she said to herself,
21:01 well, if they are going to be mean to me,
21:04 I will just be mean right back to them and she was.
21:08 She stole one girl's homework from her book
21:11 and ripped it up and threw it away.
21:13 That wasn't very nice, was it?
21:15 And she put gum on the sit of another girl's chair.
21:18 Can you imagine having gum sitting there
21:20 and then--oh, it was awful.
21:23 She made faces at them when the girls' walk by.
21:27 But do you know what?
21:28 Instead of making Jonnie feel better,
21:31 she just felt worse than ever before.
21:35 One day the teacher asked to stay in from recess,
21:38 so that they could talk.
21:40 Jonnie wondered what was that she liked her teacher,
21:43 but being asked to stay in from recess
21:44 made her little bit nervous.
21:47 Jonnie, her teacher told her,
21:48 I have noticed that you are not very happy,
21:51 what's wrong honey?
21:53 Jonnie just burst into tears
21:55 and the whole sad story just came spilling out.
21:58 The teacher was quiet for a moment
22:01 and then she asked quietly,
22:03 have you tried heaping coals of fire on their heads.
22:07 Jonnie stared at her teacher, coals of fire, ooh!
22:11 that sounded dangerous.
22:12 Why even she hadn't thought of that,
22:14 the teacher started laughing and she said.
22:17 As when she saw Jonnie's shocked faced
22:19 and she said not real coal she said,
22:22 coals of kindness.
22:24 She reached for her Bible and then she read.
22:28 You know, in the Book of Proverbs,
22:31 it says, "If your enemies are hungry,
22:34 give them bread to eat.
22:35 And if they are thirsty, give them water to drink.
22:39 For you will heap coals of fire on their heads
22:42 and the Lord will reward you."
22:44 Jonnie looked doubtful, and she wasn't it all sure
22:47 that she wanted to heap coals of kindness
22:49 on the heads of her enemies.
22:51 But the teacher seem to read her thoughts
22:53 and quietly she began to talk about Jesus
22:57 and how He led Himself be whipped and spit upon
23:00 and made fun off and never for a moment
23:02 that He think of being mean back to them.
23:05 And you know why asked the teacher,
23:07 it was because He loved these people
23:09 in spite of their mean ways.
23:11 And it was because He loved you Jonnie,
23:13 He knew that some day you would be right here in school.
23:16 And He wanted to give you a way
23:17 to have your sins forgiven,
23:19 so that He could take you home to heaven.
23:22 He loves you that much, you know,
23:24 Jonnie thought about that and she thought long and hard
23:27 and prayed.
23:28 Jesus, I am sorry I was mean
23:30 and I want to be kind and loving like you.
23:32 You know boys and girls, we need to think about Jonnie,
23:36 you know, it never ever pays
23:38 to be mean to somebody else, does it.
23:40 We always need to keep Jesus in our heart.
23:43 You know, let's look and see
23:44 if we have any mail today from you.
23:46 I would like to read your letters.
23:50 Let's go and see.
23:53 Oh, we do have some letters, lots of them.
23:57 Oh! There is, even a few more back here
24:00 I don't want to miss even one.
24:03 All right. And today let's see

24:23 and Sandy, and David in Florida.
24:26 Oh, let's read a couple of them, okay.
24:30 Let's do this one, may be this is Naisha.
24:34 We'll see if that's it.
24:36 And you know what, she has sent us a picture.
24:40 Let's just show you the picture,
24:42 so that you can see what she looks right back home.
24:45 Thank you Naisha for sending the picture.
24:48 Now let's see what Naisha has to say?
24:50 She says dear Brenda,
24:52 this is the way I witness for Jesus.
24:54 I told my aunts and uncles about Jesus,
24:57 but it seems they do not want to listen to me.
25:00 But I still want to witness for Jesus, love Naisha.
25:04 Well, Naisha, please don't get discourage.
25:06 You know what, sometimes people
25:07 don't want to hear about Jesus, do they?
25:09 But you know what we can do? We can pray for them.
25:13 So if someone doesn't want to listen,
25:14 we can still pray, can't we?
25:15 So you pray for your aunts and uncles.
25:18 Let's see who else we have a letter from?
25:21 Right in here, oh, someone drew a picture too,
25:24 isn't that nice.

26:09 That's always a nice thing to do to help
26:11 your friends isn't it David?
26:14 And I think we might have time
26:15 for just one more and let's see what this one says.
26:21 This one says, my sister is a student missionary
26:24 and I help the homeless.
26:26 You know, what that's a wonderful way
26:28 to help isn't it.
26:29 It does show kindness to help others
26:31 and this one is from Susan, thank you Susan.
