It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:03.45\00:00:07.07 looking for a friend like Jesus. 00:00:07.08\00:00:10.34 It's time to share there's a world out there, 00:00:10.35\00:00:13.72 let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:13.73\00:00:17.03 Let's tell them that He loves us so. 00:00:17.04\00:00:20.42 Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time, Kids Time. 00:00:20.43\00:00:25.95 Hi, boys and girls. 00:00:25.96\00:00:27.17 How do you like my knitting? 00:00:27.18\00:00:29.08 They are soft and warm and wooly. 00:00:29.09\00:00:31.59 And in the winter they keep my fingers cozy 00:00:31.60\00:00:33.70 even in the coldest temperatures. 00:00:33.71\00:00:35.94 But, before I wore these knittings, 00:00:35.95\00:00:37.92 the wool covered a sheep. 00:00:37.93\00:00:39.82 Yes, a sheep. 00:00:39.83\00:00:41.38 Have you ever been so close to a sheep 00:00:41.39\00:00:43.43 that you can stick to your fingers deep into its wool. 00:00:43.44\00:00:46.39 That was soft and deep and thick. 00:00:46.40\00:00:49.31 And it feels a little oily too. 00:00:49.32\00:00:51.41 You know, Jesus once compared people to sheep 00:00:51.42\00:00:54.25 and children to lambs. 00:00:54.26\00:00:55.76 And He called Himself the Good Shepherd. 00:00:55.77\00:00:58.40 I like the idea of Jesus being my shepherd. 00:00:58.41\00:01:01.28 And just as a shepherd grows wool 00:01:01.29\00:01:03.31 that is used to keep people warm, 00:01:03.32\00:01:04.94 I think Jesus wants us to offer Him 00:01:04.95\00:01:07.37 our very best and ask Him, to use it to comfort others. 00:01:07.38\00:01:11.20 A sheep has only wool to offer, 00:01:11.21\00:01:13.64 but we can give of our talents in our minds in our voices 00:01:13.65\00:01:17.17 in our hands and I guess our feet too. 00:01:17.18\00:01:20.37 And when we do, we'll feel suddenly light and happy 00:01:20.38\00:01:23.71 and carefree as a sheep 00:01:23.72\00:01:25.39 who has just lost his heavy wooly coat. 00:01:25.40\00:01:28.03 Ranger Jim is going to tell us now about a sheep 00:01:28.04\00:01:30.98 with a very funny name, 'Shortcake.' 00:01:30.99\00:01:34.40 Hi, boys and girls. 00:01:41.88\00:01:42.85 Ranger Jim here, I have a new friend. 00:01:42.86\00:01:44.91 I like to introduce to you, her name is Tiffany, 00:01:44.92\00:01:47.68 and Tiffany has a friend with her and it's a sheep. 00:01:47.69\00:01:50.35 What's its name? 'Shortcake.' 00:01:50.36\00:01:52.75 Why did you call it 'Shortcake.' 00:01:52.76\00:01:54.04 Because she has very short legs. 00:01:54.05\00:01:56.79 Is this a special breed of sheep 00:01:56.80\00:01:58.22 or just a regular breed? 00:01:58.23\00:01:59.49 A special breed, it's in old English south-town. 00:01:59.50\00:02:04.07 Well, do you share the sheep for wool? 00:02:04.08\00:02:06.29 Well, yes, once a year we share them 00:02:06.30\00:02:09.35 and it's not painful to them at all. 00:02:09.36\00:02:13.35 Well, it appears to be a very beautiful, 00:02:13.36\00:02:14.74 well mannered creature. 00:02:14.75\00:02:16.47 Do you ever show or do you plan to show this 00:02:16.48\00:02:18.31 in any of the shows? 00:02:18.32\00:02:19.29 Yes, I'll show her. 00:02:19.30\00:02:20.84 You show her forage exhibits and things of that nature. Yes. 00:02:20.85\00:02:24.40 How do they rate a sheep like this? 00:02:24.41\00:02:26.74 Well, they would, first like make you walk around the ring 00:02:26.75\00:02:31.66 and then they would check to see 00:02:31.67\00:02:33.67 how it stands and stuff like that. 00:02:33.68\00:02:36.70 And there you go, of course could tell 00:02:36.71\00:02:37.83 that it was well cared for, 00:02:37.84\00:02:39.97 and well disciplined and well trained. 00:02:39.98\00:02:43.00 In the background we have many other sheep, 00:02:43.01\00:02:45.00 are these sheep of the same breed? 00:02:45.01\00:02:46.64 No, they are not 00:02:46.65\00:02:49.28 I understand that in the background 00:02:49.29\00:02:51.16 of these sheep somewhere, that we had a fellow, 00:02:51.17\00:02:54.25 a buck that jumped over the fence 00:02:54.26\00:02:56.41 and she is one of the results of that, is that true. 00:02:56.42\00:02:58.91 Yes, he jumped over the fence 00:02:58.92\00:03:00.68 in the night and breed 20 sheep. 00:03:00.69\00:03:04.33 And so then she has the short legs 00:03:04.34\00:03:06.90 as a result of that because that buck has short legs 00:03:06.91\00:03:10.11 and that's something that you didn't want to hear 00:03:10.12\00:03:11.85 on this sheep farm. 00:03:11.86\00:03:12.83 Yes. 00:03:12.84\00:03:14.16 Well, if -- this sheep is how old now. 00:03:14.17\00:03:17.59 Two years. 00:03:17.60\00:03:18.57 Two years and we would expect them to live 12 or 15 years. 00:03:18.58\00:03:21.87 Yes, 12. 00:03:21.88\00:03:22.85 So she has a good long life ahead of her. 00:03:22.86\00:03:26.61 Very significant in the Bible is it not about sheep. 00:03:26.62\00:03:30.83 We find many places where Jesus is portrayed 00:03:30.84\00:03:33.51 as a Good Shepherd. 00:03:33.52\00:03:34.99 And we find where Jesus spoke so tenderly 00:03:35.00\00:03:37.62 of the sheep not only the lambs. 00:03:37.63\00:03:39.34 But He spoke tenderly of the old sheep of a flock. 00:03:39.35\00:03:42.99 And I know a little bit about shepherds 00:03:43.00\00:03:44.66 and I know that the shepherds that I know 00:03:44.67\00:03:46.45 treat very tenderly the old sheep of the flock. 00:03:46.46\00:03:51.16 They find the best grass, they find the best protection 00:03:51.17\00:03:55.73 for the older sheep and the younger sheep. 00:03:55.74\00:03:57.71 I think one of the more tender things in the Bible 00:03:57.72\00:04:00.13 about Jesus going out and looking for the lost sheep 00:04:00.14\00:04:02.71 and when He finally found that sheep 00:04:02.72\00:04:05.01 after leaving all the rest of the sheep in the flock. 00:04:05.02\00:04:08.35 He found that sheep that got lost was caught in the rocks. 00:04:08.36\00:04:11.56 And He picked that sheep up and put it across the back 00:04:11.57\00:04:13.88 His shoulders and cared it back for its tender protection. 00:04:13.89\00:04:17.89 I've also learned that in the shelter 00:04:17.90\00:04:20.85 where the shepherd takes a sheep at night 00:04:20.86\00:04:23.25 he places there all that safety 00:04:23.26\00:04:25.65 and the one opening leading in there, 00:04:25.66\00:04:27.75 that's where the shepherd stays. 00:04:27.76\00:04:30.13 Any beast of any kind coming in to molest the sheep 00:04:30.14\00:04:34.00 has to go over his body 00:04:34.01\00:04:35.96 and the shepherd willingly risks his life 00:04:35.97\00:04:39.27 in the defense of the sheep. 00:04:39.28\00:04:41.11 So there are just a wonderful, wonderful number of things 00:04:41.12\00:04:45.48 that we can think of in the Bible that refer to sheep. 00:04:45.49\00:04:48.56 And I think of one of the more touching things 00:04:48.57\00:04:50.87 that people had to do in those days 00:04:50.88\00:04:52.89 for the forgiveness of sin 00:04:52.90\00:04:54.49 they had to bring a beautiful lamb like this. 00:04:54.50\00:04:58.12 A beautiful sheep because they had sinned 00:04:58.13\00:05:01.53 and they had to, with a priest there in the presence, 00:05:01.54\00:05:04.23 they had to take a knife and kill this innocent lamb. 00:05:04.24\00:05:09.29 What a tragedy that to our history 00:05:09.30\00:05:12.09 millions of these lambs were sacrificed 00:05:12.10\00:05:14.75 because of the sins of men. 00:05:14.76\00:05:16.64 I am so glad that Jesus opened a new and living way 00:05:16.65\00:05:19.96 that we're told about in the New Testament. 00:05:19.97\00:05:21.89 That one sacrifice for all mankind 00:05:21.90\00:05:25.52 for all time is all that is necessary. 00:05:25.53\00:05:28.48 No longer do we need to sacrifice 00:05:28.49\00:05:30.75 a beautiful innocent lamb 00:05:30.76\00:05:32.89 but because the lamb of God was willing to come 00:05:32.90\00:05:35.24 and die for our sins. 00:05:35.25\00:05:37.04 Then all that's necessary is that 00:05:37.05\00:05:39.47 we come and claim that sacrifice, 00:05:39.48\00:05:42.37 and the loving Father, then accepting that sacrifice 00:05:42.38\00:05:45.56 looks at us and sees us in the righteousness 00:05:45.57\00:05:48.98 of the perfect Lamb of God that takes away 00:05:48.99\00:05:50.99 the sins of the world and we stand before Him 00:05:51.00\00:05:53.66 as if we had never sinned. 00:05:53.67\00:05:55.53 That is a wonderful, wonderful truth for us 00:05:55.54\00:05:57.68 to see and consider. 00:05:57.69\00:05:58.83 I see that you have a dog here, Tiffany. 00:05:58.84\00:06:00.80 Is he a working dog or just a pet? 00:06:00.81\00:06:02.60 He's a working dog. 00:06:02.61\00:06:03.74 We had a demonstration here a moment ago 00:06:03.75\00:06:06.13 and he's out there now, just watching, 00:06:06.14\00:06:08.15 I don't know if the camera's bringing up or not, 00:06:08.16\00:06:10.13 because the sheep are here is because that dog is out there. 00:06:10.14\00:06:13.88 He doesn't bite the sheep? No 00:06:13.89\00:06:15.78 Does he frighten the sheep? No. 00:06:15.79\00:06:19.40 He simply moves about chasing them in one direction 00:06:19.41\00:06:22.99 or the other and bringing in for. 00:06:23.00\00:06:24.49 I noticed that there are many commands 00:06:24.50\00:06:26.09 occasionally just drop his hand. 00:06:26.10\00:06:28.40 And that means to lay down to stop. Yes 00:06:28.41\00:06:30.92 Isn't that beautiful, it must take some time 00:06:30.93\00:06:32.73 to train a dog like that. 00:06:32.74\00:06:34.11 I know many children that aren't trained that well. 00:06:34.12\00:06:36.97 It's a joy to see a well trained dog 00:06:36.98\00:06:39.87 or a well trained sheep. 00:06:39.88\00:06:41.33 We find that the sheep represents Jesus, 00:06:41.34\00:06:45.94 the perfect Lamb of God. 00:06:45.95\00:06:47.87 And what beautiful innocence sheep, and is it true 00:06:47.88\00:06:50.68 that sheep are very difficult to drive but easy to lead. 00:06:50.69\00:06:54.09 Yes. You just follow, lead off and they will follow much ease 00:06:54.10\00:06:59.54 than it is to chase them and drive them 00:06:59.55\00:07:01.31 and to frighten them. 00:07:01.32\00:07:02.29 They are such just gentle creatures. 00:07:02.30\00:07:03.66 We all love the sheep don't we? 00:07:03.67\00:07:06.14 Once again, I want to remind you 00:07:06.15\00:07:08.64 that Jesus the perfect Lamb of God 00:07:08.65\00:07:11.61 is the one who created and made all of these things. 00:07:11.62\00:07:15.66 He is the one that died for us on the cross 00:07:15.67\00:07:18.42 and makes it all possible. 00:07:18.43\00:07:20.34 So, boys and girls, remember to tell Him, 00:07:20.35\00:07:22.99 how much you love Him and appreciate Him. 00:07:23.00\00:07:25.88 Because He is such a lovely wonderful heavenly Father 00:07:25.89\00:07:29.46 and He most certainly does, really love you. 00:07:29.47\00:07:34.06 Hello, boys and girls. 00:07:41.66\00:07:43.25 First Corinthians 10 verse 31 says, 00:07:43.26\00:07:46.30 "What so ever you do, do all to the glory of God." 00:07:46.31\00:07:50.10 Won't you join us in this song 00:07:50.11\00:07:51.56 as we invite our heavenly Father to be here. 00:07:51.57\00:07:55.45 Father God just for today 00:07:59.97\00:08:06.03 Help me walk the narrow way. 00:08:06.04\00:08:11.62 Help me stand when I should fall 00:08:11.63\00:08:18.44 Lend me the strength to hear your call. 00:08:18.45\00:08:23.37 May my steps be worship, May my thoughts be praise, 00:08:23.38\00:08:29.32 May my words bring honor to Your name, 00:08:29.33\00:08:34.96 May my steps be worship, May my thoughts be praise, 00:08:34.97\00:08:40.87 May my words bring honor to Your name. 00:08:40.88\00:08:46.58 Father God just for today 00:08:46.59\00:08:52.39 Help me walk the narrow way. 00:08:52.40\00:08:53.39 Help me stand when I should fall 00:08:58.48\00:09:05.22 Lend me the strength to hear Your call. 00:09:05.23\00:09:10.55 May my steps be worship, May my thoughts be praise, 00:09:10.56\00:09:16.48 May my words bring honor to Your name, 00:09:16.49\00:09:22.41 May my steps be worship, May my thoughts be praise, 00:09:22.42\00:09:28.60 May my words bring honor to Your name. 00:09:28.61\00:09:35.55 Boys and girls, God loves to be a part of everything 00:09:38.17\00:09:41.07 that we do. 00:09:41.08\00:09:42.49 Hi, today we're going to make our Aunt Linda's Waffles. 00:09:50.38\00:09:53.66 She works at a camp in Wahanda 00:09:53.67\00:09:55.60 and everybody loves her cooking. 00:09:55.61\00:09:58.37 She made this recipe. 00:09:58.38\00:10:00.18 Yeah, we'd love to go there and eat her cooking. 00:10:00.19\00:10:02.17 She's just a really great cook. 00:10:02.18\00:10:04.40 Jody, why don't you read the recipe for them? 00:10:04.41\00:10:06.37 Okay. 00:23:35.26\00:23:38.48 You know, there's an old rhyme that goes something like this. 00:23:38.49\00:23:41.77 "There is so much good in the worst of us 00:23:41.78\00:23:44.29 and so much bad in the best of us. 00:23:44.30\00:23:46.63 But it doesn't help any of us to talk about the rest of us." 00:23:46.64\00:23:50.90 That's kind of a silly line, isn't it? 00:23:50.91\00:23:52.85 I've been thinking a lot about words lately. 00:23:52.86\00:23:55.12 Words are very powerful and they can be used 00:23:55.13\00:23:58.05 in harmful ways or helpful ways. 00:23:58.06\00:24:00.43 They can deceive or they can hurt. 00:24:00.44\00:24:03.07 They can make people angry or discouraged. 00:24:03.08\00:24:05.58 You know, sometimes we don't realize just what we say 00:24:05.59\00:24:09.67 makes such an impact and it makes such a difference 00:24:09.68\00:24:12.07 in other people's life, doesn't it? 00:24:12.08\00:24:13.79 But what if gospel have the power to cheer up people 00:24:13.80\00:24:16.92 and to calm them when they're troubled 00:24:16.93\00:24:19.00 or they're stressed out, or to help them understand something 00:24:19.01\00:24:22.34 that has puzzled them or to make them feel important. 00:24:22.35\00:24:25.97 You know, the scary thing about words, 00:24:25.98\00:24:28.93 is that once you say something you can't unsay it, can you? 00:24:28.94\00:24:33.53 It's so easy to say something hurtful about someone, 00:24:33.54\00:24:37.13 and although you wish right away 00:24:37.14\00:24:39.04 you hadn't said those hurtful things they're out there 00:24:39.05\00:24:42.45 and it's too late you cannot them back. 00:24:42.46\00:24:46.80 You know, I think our little rhyme has the right idea, 00:24:46.81\00:24:50.13 none of us is so good or so perfect that 00:24:50.14\00:24:52.73 we have the right to find fault with someone else. 00:24:52.74\00:24:55.92 You know, another old thing is,think before you speak. 00:24:55.93\00:24:59.43 You know, that's very good advise. 00:24:59.44\00:25:01.04 So often we might be upset with someone 00:25:01.05\00:25:04.30 and we might just blurt something right out. 00:25:04.31\00:25:06.75 But that isn't the right way to do it, is that? 00:25:06.76\00:25:08.77 You wanna think, right up here 00:25:08.78\00:25:10.39 and use our minds that God gave us 00:25:10.40\00:25:12.07 before we say something. 00:25:12.08\00:25:13.46 The Bible has something to say about our words too. 00:25:13.47\00:25:16.93 In Proverbs we find this verse, 00:25:16.94\00:25:18.91 "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold 00:25:18.92\00:25:22.17 and pictures of silver." 00:25:22.18\00:25:23.94 And in Psalms 34:13 it says, 00:25:23.95\00:25:26.82 "Keep your tongue from evil, 00:25:26.83\00:25:28.58 and your lips from speaking deceit." 00:25:28.59\00:25:31.19 In the Book of James we're told that 00:25:31.20\00:25:32.99 the tongue is like a small fire 00:25:33.00\00:25:34.81 but capable of setting the whole forest ablaze. 00:25:34.82\00:25:37.93 Wow! Our words are really important, aren't they? 00:25:37.94\00:25:41.76 I wonder if we could bow our heads together and ask Jesus 00:25:41.77\00:25:45.65 to help us speak only 00:25:45.66\00:25:46.84 truthful, kind, and loving word. 00:25:46.85\00:25:49.03 Would you bow your head and pray with me right now. 00:25:49.04\00:25:52.89 Dear Jesus, thank You so much for loving us 00:25:52.90\00:25:56.11 and thank You for giving us minds to think. 00:25:56.12\00:25:59.82 And please dear Lord, help us to only speak kind words. 00:25:59.83\00:26:04.49 Help us, dear Lord, not to say untruthful things. 00:26:04.50\00:26:07.66 And if we, please forgive us if we've ever said 00:26:07.67\00:26:10.51 anything that's unkind or untrue. 00:26:10.52\00:26:13.01 But we only want to be your 00:26:13.02\00:26:15.26 shining lights for you, dear Jesus. 00:26:15.27\00:26:17.88 Thank you, for loving us and we love you, Jesus.
