the village just down the road

leader had a child for me.

And the child was a two-year-old
and weighed five kilograms.

father were both living,

but the child was
living with her grandmother

who had dementia and
her parents were alcoholics.

And so I took this child
and we gave her a name, Naomi,

but she was so weak and thin

she looked like she'd
come out of a famine in Africa.

I took her to the
children's hospital

and when the nurses saw
her at the children's hospital,

they said, "Hey, she's
got a twin sister here."

And I said, and they
said, "Do you want to see?"

And I said, "Yeah,
sure, take me to her."

And so they took
me to another ward

and cha-ma-i was there,
two years old, five kilograms,

little legs, skinny little arms

looked just like, they're
just like twins (chuckling).

And they said cha-ma-i's mother

her at the hospital

and they'd tried to contact her,

but hadn't been
able to contact her.

And they said,
"Would you take her?"

So two weeks later I took
back, took the two girls home

come here to Cambodia?

because I've been here before.

So when I was
young I had a friend
