talk about our friends,

and they went to Bangladesh.

We were able to sponsor them.

We saw them, they went one
year and we liked what they did,

so we sent them back
mainly to drill Wells for us

and we saw such a need there

inexpensive that we drilled 13

such great need for that.

enable them to go back,

medical missionary work in

the village that the
well is being drilled in.

The main focus was the
medical missionary work,

but they were able to do
the ministry for the people in

the villages and then
leave a gift that would last

the rest of their lives.

and we do basic healthcare.

And we also do health
education to the people

and as much as possible,

we also help in coordinating
with a deep well projects.

went to the villages,

I saw that the people are
thrilled to see our new faces

they were in the process,

they were traveling
from village to village doing

the health ministry and training

and then they would do the well.

And so there was the whole
combination at the same time,

but yet they discovered
something about these churches

because they held some
of their health trainings

at church locations.

- And what did they discover?

- Well, I don't
know how to say this,

but they found a
lot of churches that

had been built 20 years ago
that were no longer functioning.

They were empty.

- So it wasn't because
the church was broken down

or something?

- No, the
churches are in good shape.

They're well-built.

But the story is that
after the churches were built,
00:07:15.20\00:07:18.47
the Bible worker
pastors were funded
00:07:18.47\00:07:22.44
for a certain amount of
time and then that funding,
00:07:22.44\00:07:25.71
none of that project finished.

And the local church
couldn't absorb the budget
00:07:27.94\00:07:32.28
for the pastors to
continue working there.

And so the churches
eventually all the...

Well, you'll find out the story,

but those church members
went back to no longer meeting

or meeting another
other denominations.

no any regular pastor,

we are still praying to God that

if there is one regular pastor

then he may take
care of all the children,

all the community people

and hope God will
listen our prayer.

this is answer will come,

when I saw that most of

people came here to learn

about health messages
as well as our religion,

face they have thirsty

to learn about true God.

And I observed here that
a majority community people

came here to listen and I'm
very hopeful about this church.

But I'm praying to God always,

And so during this medical
mission they discovered this

need and they saw how eagerly
the people were listening

learn now what we discovered,

there are 24 of these
churches and out of the 24,

only two them are functioning.

nothing's happening there.

at the very

we found churches that
were closed in South India.

And so we went down
there and we were thinking,

man, it's better
to revive a church,

start a church rather
than having to build one.

The building is already there.

And this is the secret of
our success in South India

only did the revival,

worker was at every church.

later, we go back there

have planted new churches

You know, it's just

the stories that come
out of that place are amazing

and we love it.

And so I'm excited about this.

I wanna get a team
together of like 2020 team

evangelistic crusade
and go and start something

again in this area.

I've never visited there
myself, but I wanna do this.

And then they discovered
that their translator Biphul.

In his home village,
his church was also closed

and he had a great
desire to open that church.

- And so they asked if we would
hire him as a Bible worker.

And so we've
been able to do that.

And once he found out that

we would hire him
as a Bible worker,

he was very joyful and he
went and opened his church.

- Yeah, now this
church needs a lot of work,

but at least he opened it,

and he's having regular
meetings there every week.

this guy had a good job.

He was an accountant in a school

and he was doing well supporting
his family and everything,

but his heart was
really into the ministry.

district there are 24 churches,

two of which were still open

15 years after it was closed,

on this Friday, Biphul
with the help of a visitor

and local church member cleaned

the church in
preparation for the Sabbath.

After the church closed 15
years ago and their pastor left,

started decreasing

and then later on the conference
just close the church,

Biphul's family started
worshiping in their home

with no one to teach them,

their spiritual
growth was very slow.

Now that Jesus
for Asia hired Biphul

as a full time Bible worker,

this church will be able to grow

and the gospel will
be given to the people.

This is the third
church that is now open out of

the 24 churches
in their district.

One of the most
effective ways to reach

the community is by
providing free education.

There is a three
room school building

attending this school.

Parents of the students
attended church on Sabbath

and then when the
church closed 15 years ago,

the school was also closed.

these families are so poor,

the kids don't get enough food,

and so they struggle with

And we've seen that in India

and they don't have lunch--

but it's such an opportunity
to make a difference.
