But the reason for that is that
there's a huge amount of need

in the Thailand country.

Of course, there's needs
in many different places,

but this is a good example
of some of the challenges

that we face in
the mission field.

You know, Thailand is
got less than 1% Christian,

and because of that,
there's so few resources

available to share the
gospel, just a simple book,

a simple track,
something to give somebody
00:01:12.33\00:01:15.94
to tell them about Jesus.

In some
measurements, people say,

I've even heard preach
that 94% or 95% of the world
00:01:19.17\00:01:23.08
has access to the
gospel if they wanted.

But if you live in a
country like Thailand,
00:01:25.58\00:01:29.28
you start to
realize that not everybody
00:01:29.28\00:01:31.92
has access to the gospel.

Many people grow up
and live their entire lives

without ever
hearing the name of Jesus.

Maybe they'll hear a
cuss word in a Hollywood movie

that takes the
Lord's name in vain.

We've met other
people, many other people
00:01:46.37\00:01:48.24
that have never
heard the name of Jesus.

And many of them are
born, live their entire lives,

and die without ever
hearing the name of Jesus.

And I don't
think that's fair. No.

No, it's not fair. Exactly.

And if I was in their
position, I would like to know,

at least have the chance to know

that there is a
possibility for eternal life.

of this great need,

I've had that burden
to do something with media

factor in Thailand

is that very few
people like to read.

Most people can read,
they just don't care to.

And so to
overcome that, you know,

they like to watch TVs.

Matter of fact,
they're one of the highest

per capita TV
watchers in the world.

It's kind of a
scary, scary trend,

scary statistics, isn't it?

But it's an
opportunity to bring the gospel

into a form that they can...

Are willing to

A lot of people in
this age speak English.

And so we think that the
Gospel going to the world

in English is sufficient.

But the unfortunate
truth is that very few people

in a country like
Thailand speak English.

Well, and their worldview
is so completely different.

That they don't understand

some of the
cultural references we make.

Some things we take for granted.

That we say and we think
it's a normal thing to say,

they don't have words
for that or they don't have

an understanding for
that in their culture.

And so in English,
it doesn't get across.

It's really, really best
if they receive the media

other people groups."

But how can we do that?

We can bring them to our place,
but we don't have a studio,

so what if we get
vehicle that will take us

that we can go to
these different places

Also, you know,
when a preacher comes

there's nobody there,

They would take the equipment

churches and various places.

And we saw there was
an entire Hmong village,

almost the whole
village came to know Christ

and to accept
the Adventist message

because this
couple went on motorbikes.

But there is a
rainy season in Thailand,

and you don't
travel with the equipment

on motorbikes in rainy
season, it's not a good idea.

And some of our
team have vehicles

but some of them
are really unreliable.

And they can't take the
whole team in one vehicle.

And so we started praying
for to see the Lord's plan

or what did the Lord want.

Also the Love for

being in country.

And so they went to visit
one of the missionary projects,

and they're in a road

that it really
needs four-wheel drive.

And so they came back, and says,

"Wow, we really
need a four-wheel drive."

And I'm thinking, "No, we don't.

We don't need to
spend that kind of money."

And I just try to
put it out of my mind,

but it's just kept coming
back, and I started thinking,

"Maybe this could be
a production vehicle."

And I'm like, "Lord,

we don't have
the money for this,

but it sure would be nice.

And, Lord, you know,
how else are we going

to develop our sermon library?

going to get a team

And it's got to be
quick and convenient

And the Lord just wouldn't

One night, I'll never forget,
I just prayed really, really...

o'clock in the morning.

Philippians, and I had jet lag,

so that helped.

"Lord, what do
you want with us?"

And instead of giving me reasons

why we shouldn't do it,

He started
giving me encouragement.

This is what I often
find with God is that

He tends to be an encourager.

I've come to this conclusion
that it's hard to make plans

when your partner is infinite,

omnipotent, or
wise, or powerful.

So He just gave me
a really warm feeling,

He gave me several Bible texts

that were very
clear to move forward.

And so we went to
Thailand, and went down,

and we had to
finance this truck,

we had to borrow the money,
and actually one of our workers

payments on this truck.

started praying about it

Two weeks ago, I was
in final decision time,

So I woke up really
early in the morning.

Philippines at that time,

and I've been
praying a lot about it.

and I just started going
to God and instead of begging

and pleading like I usually
do, I just surrendered it,

and I praised His name,

Stepping out and
purchasing this vehicle

was a big faith adventure.

In fact, even now, even today,
just before we took it out,

I was having these doubts,
it's like, "What you're doing?

Again, I have to back,

it's the Lord
that builds up truth.

It's not me, and
it's not anybody else,

So we surrendered
this whole in to His hands.

And the idea is that
