hard thing for people,

right and this is Bangkok.

This is a big
city. A really big city.

You know we have a
lot of wonderful outreach

in the jungles of
Thailand and different places,

time in last couple years,

a transition to more
people live in cities today

than live outside of cities,
so the majority of people

but what does that mean?

story is a faith camp.

basically a camp meeting.

It's a do it
yourself camp meeting

that we started on
my parent's property,

and now we've
done over 20 of them

in both in America and in Asia.

But it's a camp
meeting all about missions.

We call it faith camp
because it takes a lot of faith

to get involved with missions.

So much work still to be done

the traditional methods of,

Faith Camp in 2012

Well, not very many
people went to the prayer room.

So they got to
go to the meetings.

They were all
listening at the meetings.

happened in their heart.

There's need of the
gospel and gospel workers

And we've never
met Brian and Jessica

before that faith camp,

and we had asked someone
else to run the prayer room

and they weren't available.

But Brian and
Jessica were Bible workers,

actually in that conference,

and so, their friends ask them

to be our prayer
coordinators for faith camp,

so it was really neat
that we got to meet them

and then they became
so on fire for Bangkok.

and they saw the need

and so they responded.

to get to Thailand
in the first place.

and they went
around and did training

and evangelistic series

and whatever the
churches wanted them to do,

they did that in order to
fundraise to go to Thailand.

Right, and then they found
out that they were pregnant.

And they had their child,

and the child had
some complications.

did a lot of praying,

and the Lord provided a
special piece of equipment

that they needed
in order to help,

keep Asher in good health,
and they were able to take

that equipment
with them to Thailand,

and so, they could go
anyway, and they just saw

that even if
there is an obstacle,

the Lord has an answer.

went over to Thailand

year, over a year

doing language study
which is incredibly wise

because now they can
interact with the locals,

whereas if you can't...

And he has
actually preached in Thai.

And so there's been,
there are missionaries

over there that have
been there for 5, 10 years

still relying on a translator

there interact with the Thais

and it's a wonderful thing.

In July of 2012, we were asked

to be the prayer room
coordinators at faith camp,

and that's where
we both felt impressed

by God to serve in
the foreign mission field.

We came over not
knowing what we were doing,

but we decided to
come and study the language

and the culture while we
pray to see for God's guidance,

and near the end of
our language training,

he directed us
to start a business

and use that as a medium

for building
relationships in the community.

So in trying to figure out

what to do as far as a business,

we prayed and we had
gotten into rock climbing

and found that Thai people
are actually interested in it.

And so, we saw rock climbing

as an interesting
avenue to build relationships.

Yesterday for instance,
we went out to the wall

and it was a prefect day

'cause they were doing
graduation for the university,

and a guy walked over

and I asked if he ever
climbed, and he said no.

And I said, you want to try it.

And he said, well, I'm not
sure and then he asks his buddy

who is wearing a
full graduation robe

yeah, I want to try it.

And so he came over

and I told him he
should take his robe off
