Hi, and welcome to Jesus for Asia Now. 00:00:21.52\00:00:23.75 We want to spend a little time today 00:00:23.79\00:00:25.85 just sharing with you what Jesus for Asia is, 00:00:25.89\00:00:29.02 who we are and what we do. 00:00:29.06\00:00:30.69 Hi, Dear. 00:00:30.73\00:00:31.96 Hi, Darling, how are you doing? 00:00:31.99\00:00:33.43 Doing fine. 00:00:33.46\00:00:34.46 What is Jesus For Asia? 00:00:34.50\00:00:35.73 Oh, why don't you tell me? 00:00:35.76\00:00:37.30 Okay. 00:00:37.33\00:00:38.37 Well, Jesus For Asia is made up of people 00:00:38.40\00:00:41.04 that desire to see God's work go forward 00:00:41.07\00:00:43.94 and that involves two visions. 00:00:43.97\00:00:46.41 It's a twofold vision. 00:00:46.44\00:00:47.74 One is to reach the unreached, 00:00:47.78\00:00:49.68 of which there are still a lot of people out there 00:00:49.71\00:00:51.75 that have no access to the gospel. 00:00:51.78\00:00:53.45 It is like almost 7,000 languages of the gospel 00:00:53.48\00:00:56.28 in the world today. 00:00:56.32\00:00:57.35 And our church even though, 00:00:57.39\00:00:58.72 it's in almost every country of the world, 00:00:58.75\00:01:00.82 still it's only a 900 languages, 00:01:00.86\00:01:03.59 924 was the last count. 00:01:03.63\00:01:05.83 And so there's almost 6,000 languages still left. 00:01:05.86\00:01:08.50 But 6,000 languages doesn't seem like that 00:01:08.53\00:01:11.40 a larger amount when you think of our church 00:01:11.43\00:01:13.60 having 17 million people. 00:01:13.64\00:01:15.27 So it's something that's possible... 00:01:15.30\00:01:16.71 We should be able to do something. 00:01:16.74\00:01:17.81 Yes, but the thing is that, 00:01:17.84\00:01:19.47 I think that a lot of times we're not as engaged 00:01:19.51\00:01:21.98 as we could be with the great commission. 00:01:22.01\00:01:24.51 And so our vision is to bring people 00:01:24.55\00:01:27.12 into the great commission. 00:01:27.15\00:01:28.65 And so, that's the twofold vision. 00:01:28.68\00:01:30.39 Bringing the gospel to the unreached, 00:01:30.42\00:01:32.22 but reengaging North America with missions because we... 00:01:32.25\00:01:36.26 over the last 70 years, 00:01:36.29\00:01:38.86 kind of like had a little falling away 00:01:38.89\00:01:40.66 from doing missions. 00:01:40.70\00:01:41.73 Okay, so the mission of Jesus for Asia 00:01:41.76\00:01:43.73 then is encapsulated in that twofold vision? 00:01:43.77\00:01:46.30 Right. 00:01:46.33\00:01:47.37 We first started out in India with the idea of... 00:01:47.40\00:01:51.17 Instead of us going as missionaries, 00:01:51.21\00:01:53.04 'cause I really would like to go in as missionary. 00:01:53.07\00:01:55.48 But I figured that we could be more effective 00:01:55.51\00:01:58.35 if we enable the local missionary in India, 00:01:58.38\00:02:01.68 'cause just for a plane ticket for me is like $1,500. 00:02:01.72\00:02:05.45 And so you bring our whole family involved 00:02:05.49\00:02:07.66 and that's $6,000 just going. 00:02:07.69\00:02:09.66 And we don't know the language, and we don't know the culture, 00:02:09.69\00:02:11.93 and we probably offend people left and right. 00:02:11.96\00:02:14.20 Exactly. 00:02:14.20\00:02:15.90 But if we hire somebody local, that's $60 a month. 00:02:15.93\00:02:20.07 And so our plane ticket for our family going over 00:02:20.10\00:02:22.77 would sponsor one person to work for God 00:02:22.80\00:02:25.54 for almost 10 years. 00:02:25.57\00:02:27.61 And so, we figured that we would be more effective 00:02:27.64\00:02:30.11 in enabling them to do the work. 00:02:30.15\00:02:32.58 And so, now we have about 220 Bible workers, 00:02:32.61\00:02:36.38 national Bible workers in India. 00:02:36.42\00:02:38.59 Okay. Yeah. 00:02:38.62\00:02:39.72 So we want to talk about the projects, 00:02:39.75\00:02:41.52 but we also want to say that we've expanded beyond India 00:02:41.56\00:02:45.09 and we'll share that as we go. 00:02:45.13\00:02:47.36 But also the fact that 00:02:47.40\00:02:50.07 there are so many unreached people, 00:02:50.10\00:02:52.10 and there are so many languages that have no work in them yet. 00:02:52.13\00:02:55.67 And even languages that have no portion of the scripture. 00:02:55.70\00:02:58.77 There's nearly 2,000 that have no witness, 00:02:58.81\00:03:01.38 no portion of the scripture... 00:03:01.41\00:03:02.88 No missionary, no Christian. Yeah. 00:03:02.91\00:03:05.15 So the need for work overseas is huge. 00:03:05.18\00:03:08.85 It's huge, the need far outweighs the resources, 00:03:08.88\00:03:11.82 far outstrips the resources. 00:03:11.85\00:03:13.52 So there is a huge need, 00:03:13.56\00:03:15.56 probably 40 percent of the world 00:03:15.59\00:03:17.13 still has no access to the gospel, 00:03:17.16\00:03:19.09 which is representing about 2.5 to 3 billion people 00:03:19.13\00:03:24.67 depending on how you measure that, 00:03:24.70\00:03:26.27 but those are the unreached. 00:03:26.30\00:03:28.84 Some countries in the world that we consider reached, 00:03:28.87\00:03:31.64 North America. 00:03:31.67\00:03:32.84 Yeah, not everyone's a Christian, 00:03:32.87\00:03:34.08 there's still more work to do, 00:03:34.11\00:03:35.38 still lot more witnessing to do. 00:03:35.41\00:03:37.21 But everybody pretty much has access if they wanted to. 00:03:37.25\00:03:41.25 They drive past churches, they go to a bookstore. 00:03:41.28\00:03:43.92 You can get a Bible in a Dollar Store now. 00:03:43.95\00:03:46.35 They are available. 00:03:46.39\00:03:47.66 We've got how many satellite programs and channel 00:03:47.69\00:03:49.26 that are Christian? 00:03:49.29\00:03:50.26 You can go to a hotel and find a Gideon Bible 00:03:50.29\00:03:52.56 in your language. 00:03:52.59\00:03:53.66 But there's a lot of languages, lot of people groups 00:03:53.70\00:03:56.53 that don't have any of that. 00:03:56.56\00:03:57.57 Anything. 00:03:57.60\00:03:58.63 That's where our burden is 00:03:58.67\00:03:59.70 because Jesus says in Revelation 00:03:59.73\00:04:01.94 that this gospel will be preached to all nations, 00:04:01.97\00:04:04.14 kindred, tongue and people. 00:04:04.17\00:04:05.64 In fact, He talks about every nation, kindred, tongue 00:04:05.67\00:04:08.01 and people having a representative in heaven. 00:04:08.04\00:04:10.41 And so right now that's tongue. 00:04:10.45\00:04:13.08 Okay, just even tongues of 7,000 languages, 00:04:13.11\00:04:16.52 we're still only in 924, 6,000 left. 00:04:16.55\00:04:20.59 And lot of those last languages are very difficult 00:04:20.62\00:04:23.09 because it's hard geographically, 00:04:23.12\00:04:25.43 politically, culturally, maybe physically, 00:04:25.46\00:04:28.90 lot of those are up in the mountains. 00:04:28.93\00:04:30.50 Let's say for instance, Western Papua New Guinea. 00:04:30.53\00:04:33.13 The island of New Guinea, 00:04:33.17\00:04:34.74 which is used to be called Irian Jaya. 00:04:34.77\00:04:36.57 It's like 500 languages just there. 00:04:36.60\00:04:39.31 We had no work in 511 of them. 00:04:39.34\00:04:42.04 Last summer, one more was reached. 00:04:42.08\00:04:44.81 So now we have no work in 510 of them. 00:04:44.85\00:04:48.02 It sounds like a huge challenge. 00:04:48.05\00:04:49.85 Yeah. Well, let's go on to our project overview. 00:04:49.88\00:04:52.82 And, you know, some of these projects, 00:04:52.85\00:04:54.62 we're direct project managers so to speak of. 00:04:54.66\00:04:57.16 Yes. 00:04:57.19\00:04:58.23 And we provide financial support. 00:04:58.26\00:05:00.06 We're the only source in America 00:05:00.10\00:05:01.93 for advertising these projects 00:05:01.96\00:05:03.87 or trying to seek to share the need 00:05:03.90\00:05:06.50 for these different projects, some of them. 00:05:06.53\00:05:08.67 And then others, we're just like a financial support. 00:05:08.70\00:05:11.77 They have other people that are project managers, 00:05:11.81\00:05:14.01 they do their advertising, 00:05:14.04\00:05:15.31 they do whatever trying to share... 00:05:15.34\00:05:16.71 Awareness raising. 00:05:16.75\00:05:17.75 Awareness raising, that's the word 00:05:17.78\00:05:18.81 I was looking for. 00:05:18.85\00:05:19.81 And we provide the financial services for them. 00:05:19.85\00:05:21.42 Yeah, so we take the funds from the donors 00:05:21.45\00:05:23.85 and pass them through. 00:05:23.89\00:05:24.92 Because Jesus For Asia's 501c3. 00:05:24.95\00:05:27.32 So people can donate 00:05:27.36\00:05:28.62 and get their tax deductible receipt and... 00:05:28.66\00:05:30.69 Right. 00:05:30.73\00:05:31.93 So, but we don't charge these projects overhead from those. 00:05:31.96\00:05:33.43 Right. No. 00:05:33.46\00:05:35.76 You know, any actual straight bank fee 00:05:35.80\00:05:38.03 that comes and goes against that, 00:05:38.07\00:05:40.24 but otherwise we don't charge anything. 00:05:40.27\00:05:42.70 Right. 00:05:42.74\00:05:43.74 Which the Lord is taking care of us 00:05:43.77\00:05:44.87 and He has blessed. 00:05:44.91\00:05:45.87 There's a lot of need and we can't go forward 00:05:45.91\00:05:47.68 in some of the other areas. 00:05:47.71\00:05:49.08 Right. Yeah. So, anyway. 00:05:49.11\00:05:50.91 So like for instance, we were into originally 00:05:50.95\00:05:52.55 a sending organization. 00:05:52.58\00:05:53.75 Right. 00:05:53.78\00:05:54.82 But people have come to us and said we want to go. 00:05:54.85\00:05:57.65 What does it take? Yeah. 00:05:57.69\00:05:58.69 We've been rejected by this organization 00:05:58.72\00:06:00.52 or we've been told we're too old or, 00:06:00.56\00:06:02.66 you know, how do we go? 00:06:02.69\00:06:04.33 Or some of them were our friends 00:06:04.36\00:06:06.13 that were working with us in some of our camp meetings 00:06:06.16\00:06:09.00 that got inspired and they just said, we want to go. 00:06:09.03\00:06:11.77 What does it take to go? 00:06:11.80\00:06:12.90 And we're like, okay, well, plane ticket. 00:06:12.93\00:06:15.67 Yeah. 00:06:15.70\00:06:16.81 Some of them went on a vision trip 00:06:16.84\00:06:18.21 and never, never could live in America again. 00:06:18.24\00:06:21.08 Right. 00:06:21.11\00:06:22.11 So let's start with the Bible workers in India. 00:06:22.14\00:06:23.78 Okay. 00:06:23.81\00:06:25.05 Our major ministry in India is we have over 200 Bible workers. 00:06:25.08\00:06:28.55 They are national Bible workers that already know the language, 00:06:28.58\00:06:31.79 already know the culture. 00:06:31.82\00:06:33.52 And for $60 a month, 00:06:33.56\00:06:35.52 you can sponsor a fulltime Bible worker. 00:06:35.56\00:06:37.96 And they are very effective, 00:06:37.99\00:06:39.46 they are very efficient and they are lovely. 00:06:39.49\00:06:41.70 And we're gonna do a whole show 00:06:41.73\00:06:42.96 on just how they work and how they function. 00:06:43.00\00:06:44.73 Okay. We also have four evening schools. 00:06:44.77\00:06:47.07 Yes, for $7 a month, you can sponsor a child 00:06:47.10\00:06:51.34 that will give them a free meal, 00:06:51.37\00:06:54.01 nutritious meal and education. 00:06:54.04\00:06:56.75 And this includes... 00:06:56.78\00:06:58.18 And they have a worship time. Yes. 00:06:58.21\00:07:00.12 And they learn memory verse and everything. 00:07:00.15\00:07:01.88 Yeah, that's exciting. 00:07:01.92\00:07:03.12 And since this started, 00:07:03.15\00:07:04.99 we have probably served over 250, 000 meals. 00:07:05.02\00:07:08.46 And this combats the two biggest problems 00:07:08.49\00:07:11.59 with young people in India, 00:07:11.63\00:07:13.46 that is malnutrition and education. 00:07:13.50\00:07:15.96 And it also provides them a opportunity for growth 00:07:16.00\00:07:19.50 and it's just a beautiful thing. 00:07:19.53\00:07:21.00 I love our evening schools. Yeah. 00:07:21.04\00:07:22.64 And then we have an orphanage that is in process of moving 00:07:22.67\00:07:26.94 to a new location that the board provided. 00:07:26.98\00:07:28.24 Out in the country. 00:07:28.28\00:07:29.74 We've had 11 children there. Yeah. 00:07:29.78\00:07:31.81 And now we're going to have 13 00:07:31.85\00:07:33.38 because we're adopting two more into the orphanage. 00:07:33.42\00:07:35.55 And there's room for more 00:07:35.58\00:07:36.79 as it grows with this new facility. 00:07:36.82\00:07:37.85 As of Lord leads. 00:07:37.89\00:07:39.05 We've also worked a little bit. 00:07:39.09\00:07:40.99 Our director there has worked a little bit with media. 00:07:41.02\00:07:43.53 Media is so powerful in India. 00:07:43.56\00:07:46.16 Everybody has a television. 00:07:46.19\00:07:47.83 Even the last government that was voted in, 00:07:47.86\00:07:49.63 in southern India, they said, if you vote for us, 00:07:49.66\00:07:52.13 we will give you a free TV. 00:07:52.17\00:07:53.40 So now almost everyone has a TV. 00:07:53.44\00:07:55.94 He did a guest appearance on a TV show 00:07:55.97\00:07:59.41 and he had like 80 people call 00:07:59.44\00:08:02.48 asking for prayer on the phone 00:08:02.51\00:08:04.28 as a result of that one show, 00:08:04.31\00:08:05.75 half hour show, Sunday morning it's like 6.30. 00:08:05.78\00:08:08.65 So there's so many opportunities there. 00:08:08.68\00:08:10.35 We haven't been able to take advantage of them 00:08:10.39\00:08:11.99 because of a lack of funds, 00:08:12.02\00:08:13.86 but what a powerful ministry that could be. 00:08:13.89\00:08:16.06 Yeah, there's another 00:08:16.09\00:08:17.63 couple of projects there in India 00:08:17.66\00:08:19.16 and one is Health and Life for India 00:08:19.19\00:08:21.00 with Carlton and Scott which is a pseudonym. 00:08:21.03\00:08:23.67 Not their real names because they are in an area 00:08:23.70\00:08:25.53 that's little bit hostile to what they are doing. 00:08:25.57\00:08:27.74 They just move there. Right. 00:08:27.77\00:08:28.80 They have already done some Bible worker training, 00:08:28.84\00:08:30.44 which is a beginning. 00:08:30.47\00:08:31.51 Yeah, they do Bible worker training 00:08:31.54\00:08:32.54 as Bible study. 00:08:32.57\00:08:33.78 They also do medical missionary training. 00:08:33.81\00:08:35.48 Yes. 00:08:35.51\00:08:36.48 Some to these, so that it's a complete package 00:08:36.51\00:08:38.51 that they are giving to the workers. 00:08:38.55\00:08:39.58 Right. 00:08:39.61\00:08:40.62 Then we also have the young lady, 00:08:40.65\00:08:42.18 we're calling Anne. 00:08:42.22\00:08:43.25 While she was visiting there in India, 00:08:43.28\00:08:45.12 one of our evening schools, 00:08:45.15\00:08:46.22 she realized the need for widows. 00:08:46.25\00:08:47.49 Yes. 00:08:47.52\00:08:48.62 So she actually started a widow sewing school as well. 00:08:48.66\00:08:51.63 Because these widows, they don't have 00:08:51.66\00:08:53.06 very many options. 00:08:53.09\00:08:54.60 They can never get remarried and they end up like begging, 00:08:54.63\00:08:57.73 'cause very few of them have any kind of education. 00:08:57.77\00:09:01.40 So some people sponsored 00:09:01.44\00:09:03.30 the purchase of some sewing machines 00:09:03.34\00:09:05.07 and there's somebody there that's training them 00:09:05.11\00:09:07.31 how to sew, 00:09:07.34\00:09:08.41 so that they can support themselves and their children. 00:09:08.44\00:09:10.58 Yeah. 00:09:10.61\00:09:11.65 So that's kind of an encapsulation 00:09:11.68\00:09:13.85 very brief of India. 00:09:13.88\00:09:15.15 Yes. And then we have... 00:09:15.18\00:09:16.55 In Thailand, we have a number of projects. 00:09:16.58\00:09:18.62 Yes. 00:09:18.65\00:09:19.69 One of them is our All Asia Studio Team. 00:09:19.72\00:09:21.89 Yes. 00:09:21.92\00:09:22.92 Because in Thailand, it's another country in Asia 00:09:22.96\00:09:26.93 that has a tremendous capacity for watching television. 00:09:26.96\00:09:31.43 They don't read much, 00:09:31.47\00:09:32.53 but they watch a lot of television. 00:09:32.57\00:09:34.20 And so, we've got a team there that's translating videos 00:09:34.24\00:09:38.11 and DVDs and stuff into the local languages, 00:09:38.14\00:09:41.14 so that they can get fed in the medium 00:09:41.18\00:09:43.31 that they are used to. 00:09:43.35\00:09:44.51 That's a powerful team, wonderful team. 00:09:44.55\00:09:46.45 Yeah, and working there with them right now 00:09:46.48\00:09:47.95 and directing them is Daniel and Tesha Bair. 00:09:47.98\00:09:50.12 Yes. So that's the neat project. 00:09:50.15\00:09:52.49 Yeah. 00:09:52.52\00:09:53.56 Overall they are working together. 00:09:53.59\00:09:54.62 They got four people working there 00:09:54.66\00:09:56.09 that are providing the salaries for... 00:09:56.12\00:09:57.69 Stipends for, yeah. 00:09:57.73\00:09:58.79 In Thai, Karen and Hmong languages, 00:09:58.83\00:10:01.53 those three languages that we're targeting first. 00:10:01.56\00:10:04.27 There is like 78 languages in Thailand, 00:10:04.30\00:10:06.53 but we're starting out with these four. 00:10:06.57\00:10:08.64 So that's exciting. Yeah. 00:10:08.67\00:10:10.64 So we're doing media in Thailand a bit, 00:10:10.67\00:10:12.64 and then we also have a burden for publishing in Thailand. 00:10:12.67\00:10:15.41 Yes. 00:10:15.44\00:10:16.54 Right now, we're trying to raise funds for which book? 00:10:16.58\00:10:18.75 The Desire of Ages. Okay. 00:10:18.78\00:10:20.55 It cost about $50,000 to relay out and publish 00:10:20.58\00:10:25.42 10,000 copies of The Desire of Ages, 00:10:25.45\00:10:27.89 it's a big thick book. 00:10:27.92\00:10:29.19 This book has been out of print in the Thai language 00:10:29.22\00:10:31.39 which for almost 20 years. 00:10:31.43\00:10:33.03 Can you imagine being without The Desire of Ages 00:10:33.06\00:10:36.23 in your church? 00:10:36.26\00:10:37.30 Even your pastor doesn't have The Desire of Ages. 00:10:37.33\00:10:39.67 What a concept? That's a huge need. 00:10:39.70\00:10:41.14 And the division has provided some funding, 00:10:41.17\00:10:44.11 the union has provided some funding, 00:10:44.14\00:10:46.31 and the local mission has provided some funding, 00:10:46.34\00:10:48.58 but they are very short funded 00:10:48.61\00:10:49.88 because of the decline in giving 00:10:49.91\00:10:51.35 to foreign missions over the last 70 years. 00:10:51.38\00:10:53.52 And the decline is so much that they can't keep up. 00:10:53.55\00:10:56.42 Okay. Then we have the Sharon Family Project. 00:10:56.45\00:10:59.25 Sharon family's, they have four boys. 00:10:59.29\00:11:01.99 The parents are in Northwest Thailand 00:11:02.02\00:11:05.13 and they are working with the Karen people group 00:11:05.16\00:11:07.30 that are up in the mountains there. 00:11:07.30\00:11:09.13 Some of them are coming over from Burma 00:11:09.16\00:11:11.03 because of the Civil War 00:11:11.07\00:11:12.20 that's been going on for 60 years, 00:11:12.23\00:11:13.67 that's letting up now, so that's really good. 00:11:13.70\00:11:15.80 But they are doing a training school 00:11:15.84\00:11:17.51 and they are in the jungle. 00:11:17.54\00:11:18.87 They have to get there by boat or motorbike 00:11:18.91\00:11:21.04 across the difficult dirt roads and mud roads. 00:11:21.08\00:11:23.14 And then hike through the jungle. 00:11:23.18\00:11:24.61 So they are in the jungle and they built their own house 00:11:24.65\00:11:26.78 out of bamboo, 00:11:26.82\00:11:27.85 and they are setting up a training school, 00:11:27.88\00:11:29.42 where young people would come and learn 00:11:29.45\00:11:30.75 what it means to walk with Christ. 00:11:30.79\00:11:32.22 They are also teaching English and Maths 00:11:32.25\00:11:34.46 and some of those other things there. 00:11:34.49\00:11:36.22 Yeah, and their youngest son 00:11:36.26\00:11:37.66 is in the south western part of highland, 00:11:37.69\00:11:40.20 and he's doing a school also, 00:11:40.23\00:11:42.06 teaching English and teaching the Bible study 00:11:42.10\00:11:44.67 and all these kinds of things. 00:11:44.70\00:11:45.73 How to walk with Christ? 00:11:45.77\00:11:46.67 Another son of course is over in Cambodia. 00:11:46.70\00:11:49.64 And the fourth son, which is the oldest 00:11:49.67\00:11:51.77 is actually in Burma. 00:11:51.81\00:11:53.21 And he's been studying there. 00:11:53.24\00:11:54.24 Studying there at one of the seminaries. 00:11:54.28\00:11:55.81 Yeah, and then we have a young lady working with them, 00:11:55.84\00:11:58.51 that's been working in Cambodia, Sarah Van. 00:11:58.55\00:12:01.12 He recently moved to work with the Sharon. 00:12:01.15\00:12:03.18 So she's teaching there in their school. 00:12:03.22\00:12:05.02 Yeah. That's the Sharon family. 00:12:05.05\00:12:06.69 So you can go to sharonfamily.org. 00:12:06.72\00:12:08.72 You can also find them on our website, 00:12:08.76\00:12:10.79 jesusforasia.org. 00:12:10.83\00:12:12.43 And you can look under Thailand... 00:12:12.46\00:12:14.10 Under Thailand, you will see a list of different projects. 00:12:14.10\00:12:15.90 Right. 00:12:15.93\00:12:16.90 Then we have a family, actually three families 00:12:16.93\00:12:19.70 that run a couple of different projects. 00:12:19.73\00:12:21.74 One of them is the Children's Home. 00:12:21.77\00:12:23.51 Yes. And that's Adam's family. 00:12:23.54\00:12:25.57 Paul and Lena Adams and their children. 00:12:25.61\00:12:27.54 Yeah, wonderful ministry, beautiful ministry. 00:12:27.58\00:12:29.58 They got the orphanage in their own home. 00:12:29.61\00:12:31.11 They are taking care of children 00:12:31.15\00:12:32.51 that they basically adopted for life. 00:12:32.55\00:12:34.52 They have also headed up a ministry called 00:12:34.55\00:12:36.28 Karen Outreach, 00:12:36.32\00:12:37.69 which now there's more families working with them, 00:12:37.72\00:12:41.39 the Steck Family, Harvey and Brenda 00:12:41.42\00:12:43.56 and their girls and then also the Meyer family, 00:12:43.59\00:12:46.36 Kelly and Denise Meyer 00:12:46.39\00:12:48.00 are working there with them now. 00:12:48.03\00:12:49.30 And they have a school there and a training school and... 00:12:49.33\00:12:54.00 Yeah, it's a trade school. 00:12:54.04\00:12:55.14 They have got about 250 kids there. 00:12:55.17\00:12:57.11 It's a day and a boarding school elementary, 00:12:57.14\00:13:00.48 they are trying to move into academy. 00:13:00.51\00:13:03.01 Okay, then we have Gayle Haberkam. 00:13:03.04\00:13:04.78 Yeah, she's in her 60s 00:13:04.81\00:13:06.68 and she's up in the mountain villages 00:13:06.72\00:13:08.68 and she hikes in there. 00:13:08.72\00:13:09.88 I think at one time, she had to hike two hours 00:13:09.92\00:13:11.89 to get to a place where she could call out 00:13:11.92\00:13:13.36 on her cell phone. 00:13:13.39\00:13:14.42 Yeah. 00:13:14.46\00:13:15.46 And she went there temporary 00:13:15.49\00:13:17.53 and she fell in love with the people 00:13:17.56\00:13:19.26 and now she's opened a clinic that services up to 50 villages 00:13:19.29\00:13:22.63 up in the mountains that have no access 00:13:22.66\00:13:24.90 or very difficult access to medical care. 00:13:24.93\00:13:26.94 Yeah. Good care. Yeah. 00:13:26.97\00:13:28.10 So and they also are teaching them about Jesus 00:13:28.14\00:13:30.14 and praying with them. 00:13:30.17\00:13:31.17 Yeah. It's beautiful. 00:13:31.21\00:13:32.44 We also are working with Bible workers in Thailand. 00:13:32.47\00:13:35.44 And then we have couple of different projects in Bangkok 00:13:35.48\00:13:38.01 and that's called Bangkok Outreach. 00:13:38.05\00:13:39.51 Bangkok Outreach is a group of people, 00:13:39.55\00:13:41.55 friends that have gone over there, 00:13:41.58\00:13:42.98 inspired by the need in Bangkok. 00:13:43.02\00:13:45.39 You know, 51 percent of the people in the world 00:13:45.42\00:13:47.62 live in cities. 00:13:47.66\00:13:48.69 Yeah, so Brian and Jessica Atwell 00:13:48.72\00:13:50.69 recently went with their young son Asher. 00:13:50.73\00:13:52.89 Yes. He's a cutie pie. 00:13:52.93\00:13:54.40 Anyway, they also had shared 00:13:54.46\00:13:56.50 the need with a couple of friends of theirs, 00:13:56.53\00:13:58.30 who were also Bible workers in the northwest. 00:13:58.33\00:14:00.84 And they actually went first 00:14:00.87\00:14:03.07 and got there before the Atwell's. 00:14:03.10\00:14:04.54 So they are all working there in Bangkok and studying Thai 00:14:04.57\00:14:08.28 and trying to learn their way 00:14:08.31\00:14:09.78 around the culture and everything. 00:14:09.81\00:14:10.81 Yes. 00:14:10.85\00:14:11.95 So, also we have another project in Thailand, 00:14:11.98\00:14:14.75 Love and Care Project... 00:14:14.78\00:14:16.12 Yes. With Rodney and Phimpha. 00:14:16.15\00:14:17.55 Yes. And they are located... 00:14:17.59\00:14:19.19 They are east of Bangkok, located in the country. 00:14:19.22\00:14:22.22 And they take care of anyone that has a need. 00:14:22.26\00:14:26.06 And so they have like 17 kids living at, 00:14:26.09\00:14:28.76 what they call a Timothy House. 00:14:28.80\00:14:30.37 And they take care of those kids. 00:14:30.40\00:14:31.93 They like adopt them. 00:14:31.97\00:14:32.97 And these kids have been abused, 00:14:33.00\00:14:35.10 they have really amazing stories, 00:14:35.14\00:14:37.71 but they bring them here and then Phimpha and Rodney, 00:14:37.74\00:14:40.81 they just love them, take them as their own kids. 00:14:40.84\00:14:42.11 Make sure Jesus is with them. 00:14:42.14\00:14:43.14 And they have a lot of people around the country 00:14:43.18\00:14:45.38 that they help as well. 00:14:45.41\00:14:46.48 It's a wonderful ministry that we are associated with. 00:14:46.51\00:14:49.22 And then in the Philippines, moving to the Philippines now. 00:14:49.25\00:14:51.32 Yes 00:14:51.35\00:14:52.45 We have a couple of different things going on, 00:14:52.49\00:14:54.19 one is GoBeDo Missions. 00:14:54.22\00:14:55.56 Where is that located? 00:14:55.59\00:14:56.49 That's in the Southern Island of Mindanao. 00:14:56.52\00:14:59.16 And this is the guy that, in one of our camp meetings 00:14:59.19\00:15:03.26 and the theme for that camp meeting was 00:15:03.30\00:15:05.57 ''Claim your Inheritance'' 00:15:05.60\00:15:06.84 and that was based on Isaiah 54:3 that says, 00:15:06.87\00:15:08.94 'Thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles.' 00:15:08.97\00:15:11.57 Our inheritance is the Gentiles, 00:15:11.61\00:15:13.71 so he says I claim Southern Philippines 00:15:13.74\00:15:15.94 as my inheritance 00:15:15.98\00:15:17.35 and since then, he's gone there, 00:15:17.38\00:15:19.28 set up this ministry called GoBeDo Missions 00:15:19.31\00:15:22.22 and in the last few years 00:15:22.25\00:15:23.85 they've baptized several hundred people 00:15:23.89\00:15:26.15 and they're solid Christians. 00:15:26.19\00:15:27.59 They have a team of about 15 or 20 Bible workers 00:15:27.62\00:15:30.76 that go up in these mountains 00:15:30.79\00:15:32.16 and they work really hard to reach 00:15:32.19\00:15:34.20 unreached people groups. 00:15:34.20\00:15:35.96 There had been no work among them 00:15:36.00\00:15:37.77 before they started doing this work 00:15:37.80\00:15:39.60 and so that's exciting. 00:15:39.63\00:15:40.84 Yeah. That's awesome 00:15:40.87\00:15:41.90 And then in the central area we have... 00:15:41.94\00:15:44.07 The West Central Visayas. 00:15:44.11\00:15:45.87 Iloilo. Yeah. 00:15:45.91\00:15:47.11 The Philippines is made up of 7,500 islands. 00:15:47.14\00:15:50.25 Not all of them are inhabited 00:15:50.28\00:15:51.78 but this is the West Central Island of Panay. 00:15:51.81\00:15:55.88 A little city called... 00:15:55.92\00:15:56.95 Well, it's a big city for us but in the Philippines 00:15:56.99\00:15:59.12 it's a little city, it's called Iloilo. 00:15:59.15\00:16:01.12 And we went over there in 2008 and we did some training 00:16:01.16\00:16:05.59 and brought some computers and some cameras 00:16:05.63\00:16:07.93 and they got going with broadcasting 00:16:07.96\00:16:10.57 so they're taping shows, 00:16:10.60\00:16:12.37 they got their little studio that they built 00:16:12.40\00:16:14.17 and they've actually been broadcasting on satellite 00:16:14.20\00:16:16.64 for quite a number of years. 00:16:16.67\00:16:17.94 That's an exciting program. 00:16:17.97\00:16:19.91 And we also have some Bible workers... 00:16:19.94\00:16:21.61 Yeah, I was gonna say it, that same church, 00:16:21.64\00:16:24.05 they had a disaster actually, it was... 00:16:24.08\00:16:26.11 We'll have to tell the story in a different episode, 00:16:26.15\00:16:28.28 but that church realized the need for Bible workers. 00:16:28.32\00:16:31.52 And so we've been sponsoring. 00:16:31.55\00:16:32.55 They had a request for like 2,800 Bible studies. 00:16:32.59\00:16:34.72 Yeah. 00:16:34.76\00:16:35.66 So we've been sponsoring Bible workers there 00:16:35.69\00:16:37.56 for a number of years. 00:16:37.59\00:16:38.89 Then we also want to talk about Cambodia. 00:16:38.93\00:16:41.73 And we have some friends that are in ministry there, 00:16:41.76\00:16:44.63 named Tim and Wendy Maddocks. 00:16:44.67\00:16:46.23 And their ministry is called... 00:16:46.27\00:16:47.40 The Salt Ministries 00:16:47.44\00:16:48.90 Saltmin.org Yes. 00:16:48.94\00:16:50.24 We'll not only provide financial services for them 00:16:50.27\00:16:52.94 but we also are inspired by them. 00:16:52.97\00:16:54.91 Oh, yes. 00:16:54.94\00:16:55.84 They're one of the reasons why we're doing 00:16:55.88\00:16:57.41 what we're doing because we saw 00:16:57.45\00:16:58.95 how God moved in their life. 00:16:58.98\00:17:00.82 And we said we want that same experience in our life 00:17:00.85\00:17:03.45 and so we started camping out on Mathew 6:33, which is... 00:17:03.49\00:17:07.26 "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, 00:17:07.29\00:17:08.69 and his righteousness, 00:17:08.72\00:17:09.92 and all these things shall be added unto you. 00:17:09.96\00:17:11.43 Exactly. 00:17:11.46\00:17:12.53 And we saw that lived out in his life. 00:17:12.56\00:17:14.40 So now he's come over and spoken 00:17:14.46\00:17:16.60 in number of our faith camps. 00:17:16.63\00:17:17.97 Tremendous, wonderful friends. Yeah. 00:17:18.00\00:17:20.37 Well, they have quite a number of different projects there. 00:17:20.40\00:17:23.57 They have an orphanage. They got like 45 acres. 00:17:23.61\00:17:26.04 With eight homes. Yeah. 00:17:26.07\00:17:27.41 And they have a school with 12th grade. 00:17:27.44\00:17:29.04 Hundred and fifty kids. Yeah. 00:17:29.08\00:17:30.31 And they have a media centre with a giant studio. 00:17:30.35\00:17:32.51 A studio. 00:17:32.55\00:17:33.82 It's quite an involved ministry 00:17:33.85\00:17:35.52 and so we'll spend a little time on that one 00:17:35.55\00:17:37.35 in a different episode. 00:17:37.39\00:17:38.45 And then, also we have a young lady 00:17:38.49\00:17:39.89 that's actually there working with the Maddocks. 00:17:39.92\00:17:42.32 Her name is Laura Calkins and that's where Sarah been, 00:17:42.36\00:17:44.96 he was until she went to Thailand. 00:17:44.99\00:17:46.63 And that's where one of the Sharon sons. 00:17:46.66\00:17:48.60 That's my next one on the list, Andrew and his wife Ken, 00:17:48.63\00:17:51.73 who is Cambodian. 00:17:51.77\00:17:52.87 Yes. They're teaching there. 00:17:52.90\00:17:54.44 She's actually finishing her student studies there. 00:17:54.47\00:17:56.97 And they're planning to start a new program like Tim's 00:17:57.01\00:18:00.24 in a different section of Cambodia. 00:18:00.28\00:18:02.04 There's a lot of need in Cambodia too. 00:18:02.08\00:18:03.71 Huge need. Huge need. 00:18:03.75\00:18:05.25 Okay, that kind of covers one area of the vision. 00:18:05.28\00:18:07.78 Okay. 00:18:07.82\00:18:08.78 That was to reach the unreached with the gospel. 00:18:08.82\00:18:12.49 And then we have the other part of the vision, 00:18:12.52\00:18:14.89 which is to reengage North America with missions. 00:18:14.92\00:18:17.29 Yeah. 00:18:17.33\00:18:18.29 And you've just completed a project for the office 00:18:18.33\00:18:20.53 of Adventist Mission at the General Conference, 00:18:20.56\00:18:22.93 which is part of this. 00:18:22.96\00:18:25.03 It's completed now but we want to mention it anyway. 00:18:25.07\00:18:27.34 Yeah. And you mentioned it earlier. 00:18:27.37\00:18:29.17 What is that? 00:18:29.20\00:18:30.24 It's called, ''I Want This City." 00:18:30.27\00:18:31.54 And it's a series of half hour shows. 00:18:31.57\00:18:33.64 They're 13 half hour shows 00:18:33.68\00:18:35.74 where I follow a church planting pastor 00:18:35.78\00:18:37.65 around Bangkok to show the affect 00:18:37.68\00:18:40.72 of the decline in giving to foreign missions. 00:18:40.75\00:18:43.22 What that looks like on the frontlines. 00:18:43.25\00:18:45.49 And we see him crying because he can't go into areas. 00:18:45.52\00:18:48.52 We see him dealing with having to close a church plant 00:18:48.56\00:18:51.29 because there's no funds. 00:18:51.33\00:18:52.89 Yeah, and we see the joy at the baptism, 00:18:52.93\00:18:55.10 and we see some of the ways that life is different 00:18:55.13\00:18:57.77 for missionaries and some of the challenges. 00:18:57.80\00:18:59.93 Yeah. We see his heart. Yeah. 00:19:00.04\00:19:01.24 The heart of Christ 00:19:01.27\00:19:02.54 that gives him a heart for the people. 00:19:02.57\00:19:04.87 And it's exciting. I mean, it's a wonderful show. 00:19:04.91\00:19:07.24 But with that, the reason for that is because 00:19:07.28\00:19:10.21 we started seeing that there is not much interest 00:19:10.25\00:19:13.25 in foreign missions 00:19:13.28\00:19:14.35 or not much awareness of foreign missions. 00:19:14.38\00:19:16.48 And this is because it's not promoted. 00:19:16.52\00:19:18.89 We don't know about it very much 00:19:18.92\00:19:20.52 and so we're seeing a trend overall in the church 00:19:20.56\00:19:24.09 that we're kind of disengaging from foreign missions. 00:19:24.13\00:19:28.10 A lot of people think that 00:19:28.13\00:19:29.13 the work is going forward very well, 00:19:29.16\00:19:31.20 when in actuality in lot of places, 00:19:31.23\00:19:32.90 it is kind of imploding. 00:19:32.93\00:19:34.27 It's kind of dying away. 00:19:34.30\00:19:35.87 That's why we have no Desire of Ages in Thailand. 00:19:35.90\00:19:38.14 We used to, we don't now. 00:19:38.17\00:19:39.67 And so, this is the purpose I think God brought us into 00:19:39.71\00:19:42.78 because we were really enjoying taking the gospel 00:19:42.81\00:19:45.45 to places where it's never been. 00:19:45.48\00:19:47.05 But engaging North America, God's heart is for His church. 00:19:47.08\00:19:51.39 To be involved for their own sakes, 00:19:51.42\00:19:53.76 for character development, and for their own joy, the joy, 00:19:53.79\00:19:57.53 I mean, it's a feast. 00:19:57.56\00:19:59.16 Gospel work, 00:19:59.19\00:20:00.33 and taking the gospel to the nations is a feast. 00:20:00.36\00:20:02.86 It's a spiritual feast to see people's eyes light up 00:20:02.90\00:20:06.50 when they receive the gospel. 00:20:06.53\00:20:08.04 It just does so much, 00:20:08.07\00:20:09.67 it feeds our own spiritual life. 00:20:09.70\00:20:11.41 And it fed Jesus. 00:20:11.44\00:20:12.71 That's what He said 00:20:12.74\00:20:13.74 when He was talking with the widow. 00:20:13.78\00:20:15.21 The woman at the well. 00:20:15.24\00:20:16.24 Yeah. Yes. 00:20:16.28\00:20:17.31 The food I have that you know not of. 00:20:17.35\00:20:18.85 He was eating based on giving her the gospel. 00:20:18.88\00:20:21.45 Right. 00:20:21.48\00:20:22.42 So we want to share that great opportunity. 00:20:22.45\00:20:25.05 Right. Okay. 00:20:25.09\00:20:26.15 So then, the last part of... 00:20:26.19\00:20:28.09 The second part of this is recovering... 00:20:28.12\00:20:29.56 Well, we've done camp meetings also, 00:20:29.59\00:20:31.09 that's been part of what we've been doing. 00:20:31.13\00:20:32.86 These camp meetings are very special, 00:20:32.89\00:20:34.46 they're called faith camps, 00:20:34.46\00:20:35.66 because it requires faith to follow the Lord. 00:20:35.70\00:20:38.80 But the focus is on missions and a lot of our workers 00:20:38.83\00:20:42.44 that came to help in these meetings are now overseas. 00:20:42.47\00:20:45.61 Yeah, they said, it's dangerous to be staff at faith camp. 00:20:45.64\00:20:48.54 You might end up going. Yeah. 00:20:48.58\00:20:50.15 So... 00:20:50.18\00:20:51.28 So the other part that we're doing 00:20:51.31\00:20:53.52 and that's more long term and more 24/7 is Mission TV. 00:20:53.55\00:20:57.79 Can you briefly encapsulate Mission TV for us? 00:20:57.82\00:21:00.22 Mission TV is 24/7 mission stories, 00:21:00.26\00:21:03.76 foreign mission, 00:21:03.79\00:21:04.79 because there are some countries 00:21:04.83\00:21:06.33 and people groups and languages, 00:21:06.36\00:21:07.56 there are no missionaries, 00:21:07.60\00:21:08.56 there's no Christians, there's nothing. 00:21:08.60\00:21:10.23 So our focus is on foreign missions and it's 24/7. 00:21:10.27\00:21:14.27 It's a streaming channel right now on missiontv.com. 00:21:14.30\00:21:17.37 Our dream and hope is to have it on a satellite 00:21:17.41\00:21:20.11 where more people can get to it, 00:21:20.14\00:21:22.04 and view it in their homes 24 hours a day, 00:21:22.08\00:21:24.95 7 days a week. 00:21:24.98\00:21:26.31 And we show different ministries like AWR, 00:21:26.35\00:21:28.98 Adventist Mission. 00:21:29.02\00:21:30.05 Gospel Outreach. 00:21:30.09\00:21:31.09 All these wonderful ministries like ASAP 00:21:31.12\00:21:33.82 that are doing wonderful ministries overseas 00:21:33.86\00:21:36.12 and they're showing their work. 00:21:36.16\00:21:37.16 And we want our channel dedicated to their work 00:21:37.19\00:21:40.56 and those types of things. 00:21:40.60\00:21:42.00 So that's the channel. Okay. 00:21:42.03\00:21:43.73 Now we do have projects in several other countries 00:21:43.77\00:21:46.10 that we're not going to mention today 00:21:46.13\00:21:47.47 because of the nature of those countries 00:21:47.50\00:21:49.34 in being closed countries. 00:21:49.37\00:21:51.57 But there are projects in other places 00:21:51.61\00:21:53.64 that we can't talk openly about, 00:21:53.68\00:21:55.28 but they're just as important. 00:21:55.31\00:21:56.54 And Jesus for Asia, the way we get our funding 00:21:56.58\00:21:58.88 for administrative cost, how do we do that 00:21:58.91\00:22:00.85 because you're the accountant. 00:22:00.88\00:22:02.48 Yeah, the funding for administrative cost 00:22:02.52\00:22:04.52 comes by donation. 00:22:04.55\00:22:05.85 We don't hold anything from... 00:22:05.89\00:22:07.79 So if somebody donated to Bible workers? 00:22:07.82\00:22:10.33 No, it goes to Bible workers. 00:22:10.36\00:22:12.36 No funding for administration comes from that? 00:22:12.39\00:22:14.13 No. We made a commitment a long time ago. 00:22:14.20\00:22:16.77 All these other projects that people donate money to, 00:22:16.80\00:22:19.80 none of that goes to administrative. 00:22:19.83\00:22:21.67 No. So then, how do we function? 00:22:21.70\00:22:23.61 How does Jesus for Asia function? 00:22:23.64\00:22:24.94 By the grace of God we function. 00:22:24.97\00:22:27.24 If people say where-needed-most or they say general fund, 00:22:27.28\00:22:32.31 or Jesus for Asia and they just leave it blank, 00:22:32.35\00:22:34.48 whatever, then those are used for 00:22:34.52\00:22:36.69 paying administrative cost 00:22:36.72\00:22:37.99 and that includes some of these other projects 00:22:38.02\00:22:39.99 that we've mentioned 00:22:40.02\00:22:41.09 because some of these don't have their own funding. 00:22:41.12\00:22:43.83 You know, they don't get enough funding 00:22:43.86\00:22:46.49 or they get a little bit but not enough. 00:22:46.53\00:22:48.43 So if somebody donates to administrative, 00:22:48.46\00:22:50.40 a large percentage of that actually goes to a project. 00:22:50.43\00:22:52.70 Yes. 00:22:52.73\00:22:54.10 And even if it doesn't go to a project, 00:22:54.14\00:22:55.87 it sponsors something that's a project cost. 00:22:55.90\00:22:59.04 Right. Like financial services. Exactly. 00:22:59.07\00:23:01.64 Like we have a bookkeeper and we pay her a small stipend 00:23:01.68\00:23:05.15 and it pays those. 00:23:05.18\00:23:06.82 And if she wasn't here, 00:23:06.85\00:23:08.25 then it would be much harder for us 00:23:08.28\00:23:09.72 to get the money out into the field. 00:23:09.75\00:23:11.75 So those kinds of things are very important 00:23:11.79\00:23:14.12 and also the Mission TV, most of the crew, 00:23:14.16\00:23:17.13 most of the Jesus for Asia crew, 00:23:17.16\00:23:18.76 the small stipends are paid out of that fund also. 00:23:18.79\00:23:21.63 It's an important thing and it's not all buying paper 00:23:21.66\00:23:24.77 or sending out newsletters or something like that, 00:23:24.80\00:23:27.50 the unrestricted is what is called in accounting world. 00:23:27.54\00:23:30.87 The where-needed-most type of funds cover a lot of things, 00:23:30.91\00:23:35.34 both here and overseas, and here for overseas, 00:23:35.38\00:23:39.48 and here for North America, 00:23:39.51\00:23:41.55 for the ministry in North America. 00:23:41.58\00:23:43.02 So it's important to have those as well. 00:23:43.05\00:23:45.65 So all these projects, honey, 00:23:45.69\00:23:48.12 we must've been in ministry for a long time. 00:23:48.16\00:23:50.76 No. We started in 2005, in February of 2005. 00:23:50.79\00:23:54.23 God has accomplished all this in just nine years. 00:23:54.30\00:23:56.93 Yes. 00:23:56.97\00:23:58.03 And so, we must be really special people. 00:23:58.07\00:24:00.30 No, we're not special, but God is special. 00:24:00.34\00:24:02.50 God is special. 00:24:02.54\00:24:03.57 And when God shows you a picture of 00:24:03.61\00:24:05.41 what you need to be doing for Him in His work, 00:24:05.44\00:24:07.94 and you go forward, 00:24:07.98\00:24:09.38 He opens the doors, He provides, 00:24:09.41\00:24:11.35 and then suddenly you're like, wow. 00:24:11.38\00:24:13.11 We do a show like this 00:24:13.15\00:24:14.72 and we have to list everything to do the show, 00:24:14.75\00:24:16.62 and it reminds us of how much He's done. 00:24:16.65\00:24:18.95 How much He's accomplishing through Jesus for Asia, 00:24:18.99\00:24:21.39 but sometimes we just, we just see the big picture 00:24:21.42\00:24:24.03 and we don't focus on all the different list. 00:24:24.06\00:24:26.70 And that of course is the subject of another show, 00:24:26.73\00:24:29.00 as how God has led. 00:24:29.03\00:24:30.50 Right. 00:24:30.53\00:24:31.50 And the beautiful thing is He can lead anybody. 00:24:31.53\00:24:33.10 Right. 00:24:33.13\00:24:34.17 And a lot of the missionaries that are over there, 00:24:34.20\00:24:35.60 finding that out, that's what's exciting. 00:24:35.64\00:24:37.31 This is the feast of the harvest. 00:24:37.34\00:24:39.51 And I'm really happy to be a part of it. 00:24:39.54\00:24:42.11 Yeah. It's a blessing and a privilege. 00:24:42.14\00:24:44.88 And so this is the feast that God has called us to. 00:24:44.91\00:24:47.18 And He is calling everyone to this feast 00:24:47.22\00:24:49.08 and there's so much joy. 00:24:49.12\00:24:50.82 And this is what drives us is that we have discovered 00:24:50.85\00:24:53.56 so much joy in doing God's work. 00:24:53.59\00:24:56.19 One of the greatest thrills that I have, and I've had cars, 00:24:56.22\00:24:59.66 I've driven fast, I've skied fast, 00:24:59.69\00:25:01.96 I've done all those stuff, 00:25:02.00\00:25:03.26 but one of the greatest thrills for me 00:25:03.30\00:25:04.90 is seeing a young person or an old person 00:25:04.93\00:25:07.57 accept Jesus Christ to be baptized. 00:25:07.60\00:25:09.44 The light comes on in their eye, 00:25:09.47\00:25:11.07 that's better than driving the fastest sports car. 00:25:11.11\00:25:13.88 And the blessing of doing the mission work 00:25:13.91\00:25:16.41 that we've experienced is for our marriage, for our kids, 00:25:16.44\00:25:19.85 gives them purpose, gives them vision 00:25:19.88\00:25:22.32 and it gives them hope 00:25:22.35\00:25:23.62 to cling on and make sacrifices. 00:25:23.65\00:25:25.72 And it's such a blessing for us 00:25:25.75\00:25:27.52 that we want more of this blessing for others. 00:25:27.56\00:25:30.09 Right. 00:25:30.13\00:25:31.16 We want others to experience this blessing as well 00:25:31.19\00:25:33.23 and so we're encouraging you to get involved. 00:25:33.26\00:25:36.43 Bring missions, bring the needs of the world into your home, 00:25:36.46\00:25:40.87 into your own mind and into your children's mind 00:25:40.90\00:25:44.01 by books, by Mission TV, 00:25:44.04\00:25:46.44 all these different ways that God has. 00:25:46.47\00:25:48.04 Sometimes it's kind of hard to find the right things, 00:25:48.08\00:25:50.28 but as we get more involved with God's mission, 00:25:50.31\00:25:53.35 we draw closer to His heart, 00:25:53.38\00:25:55.18 and we experience more of His blessings. 00:25:55.22\00:25:57.09 And His blessings are peace, joy, love, 00:25:57.12\00:25:59.42 longsuffering and patience, and all these things, 00:25:59.45\00:26:02.02 and trials to develop our patience, 00:26:02.06\00:26:05.36 and to develop our love, and to develop our joy. 00:26:05.39\00:26:08.10 And so God is calling every single Christian 00:26:08.13\00:26:10.47 to the feast of the harvest. 00:26:10.50\00:26:12.33 Come and be a part of taking the gospel 00:26:12.37\00:26:14.67 to the unreached, to the world. 00:26:14.70\00:26:16.24 There are so many ways you can get involved, 00:26:16.27\00:26:18.24 by your prayers first of all, that's the most important, 00:26:18.27\00:26:21.44 by your financial gifts, 00:26:21.48\00:26:23.04 this is what God is calling us to do, 00:26:23.08\00:26:24.78 this is what God is using to prepare us 00:26:24.81\00:26:27.45 and call us out of Laodiceanism 00:26:27.48\00:26:29.82 which is rich, and increased with goods. 00:26:29.85\00:26:31.59 That's why he set up this arrangement 00:26:31.62\00:26:33.96 of seeing the needs, 00:26:33.99\00:26:35.42 and by, maybe even going, going overseas. 00:26:35.46\00:26:39.73 Just earnestly inquire of God, what He wants us to do. 00:26:39.76\00:26:43.53 And in that obedience is tremendous blessing. 00:26:43.57\00:26:46.53 And in doing so, experiencing growth in His grace 00:26:46.57\00:26:49.50 and it's so exciting. 00:26:49.54\00:26:50.67 I've been so blessed in doing this. 00:26:50.71\00:26:52.37 If Jesus for Asia was to shut down today, 00:26:52.41\00:26:54.64 I'd just say, thank you Lord. 00:26:54.68\00:26:56.28 Thank you for these nine years. 00:26:56.31\00:26:57.91 But I don't believe God, that's God's plan. 00:26:57.95\00:26:59.71 No. 00:26:59.75\00:27:00.82 I believe God's plan is to keep growing 00:27:00.85\00:27:02.88 and keep reaching people. 00:27:02.92\00:27:04.55 There's still so much work to be done 00:27:04.59\00:27:06.76 and I believe with all my heart that if we all get involved, 00:27:06.79\00:27:09.62 God could finish this work. 00:27:09.66\00:27:11.33 He's waiting for us to do that. 00:27:11.36\00:27:13.56 Here at Jesus for Asia, we praise God 00:27:13.60\00:27:15.80 for what He has accomplished 00:27:15.83\00:27:17.13 in these last 10 years of ministry. 00:27:17.17\00:27:19.73 And it's all been made possible by the generous support 00:27:19.77\00:27:22.74 of people like you who love to see the gospel proclaimed 00:27:22.77\00:27:26.64 to the unreached of the world. 00:27:26.68\00:27:29.04 We're right now poised for explosive growth, 00:27:29.08\00:27:32.68 as calls from Asia continue to pour in for help, 00:27:32.71\00:27:36.32 for more Bible workers, Bibles, help for orphans, 00:27:36.35\00:27:40.12 evangelistic materials and missionaries. 00:27:40.16\00:27:43.19 Won't you please consider partnering with us 00:27:43.22\00:27:47.00 to communicate His love 00:27:47.03\00:27:49.43 to a people who are dying without Him, 00:27:49.46\00:27:52.17 who have never heard the name of Jesus. 00:27:52.20\00:27:55.04 You may send your tax deductible gift 00:27:55.07\00:27:57.31 to Jesus for Asia, PO Box 1221, 00:27:57.34\00:28:00.88 Collegedale, Tennessee 37315. 00:28:00.91\00:28:04.71 Or you can call us at (423) 413-7321. 00:28:04.75\00:28:10.15 You can also find us on the web at Jesus4asia.org 00:28:10.19\00:28:14.66 May God richly bless you 00:28:14.69\00:28:16.66 as you join in the feast of the harvest. 00:28:16.69\00:28:19.09
