It says we are to worship
the creator God, and fear Him

HIS JUDGMENT is COME!

That very time is foreshadowed
in the wilderness tabernacle,

the sanctuary that was
built at God's direction

the foot of Sinai.

that God "tabernacled" with man,

with a bunch of human beings

Imagine having God living
in a tent nearby to yours.

We learned that
His tent had walls

made of wood from acacia
trees and overlaid with gold.

It had only four
pieces of furniture inside,

in the courtyard.

This tabernacle and its
services were used each day

to help God
communicate with humanity.

He taught them through
the symbols of the sanctuary

and its services about
His character, His law,

how we should
live and ultimately

how He was planning to
work out our salvation.

Through the
services of the sanctuary

God taught that daily sins
were to be taken care of daily;

that all confessed sins
where transferred symbolically

into the sanctuary as the blood
was sprinkled before the veil.

But finally, once each year

on the tenth day
of the seventh month,

the Day of Atonement
concluded the whole sin issue.

Here in a symbolic
form was the judgment.

First all the people
were to make absolutely sure

that ALL their
sins were repented of,

and confessed, and made right.

Then two goats were chosen.

One was the Lord's goat and
the other was the scapegoat.

That scapegoat
represented Satan.

The Lord's goat was slain
and only this once in the year

the High Priest carried his
blood into the Most Holy Place

right to the mercy seat

on top of the
Ark of the Covenant.

This blood would
"CLEANSE" the sanctuary of sins

that had been brought into
the sanctuary during the year.

Now all the people in
the camp were sin free.

The sanctuary was cleansed.

God showed
mankind what His plan was

to finally rid the world, His

learn that God actually tells us

While the prophet Daniel was
in vision he heard the Lord say,

and three hundred days;

sanctuary be cleansed. "

This prophecy
actually opens to us

the very YEAR God
begins the judgment process.

You can know from the Bible
when the judgment takes place,

all three phases of it!

That's right; there are
three phases of the judgment.

The judgment begins
at the end of 2300 days!

First let me explain that Daniel
has been a captive in Babylon

ever since Nebuchadnezzar
had overrun Israel in 606 B.C.

Daniel, a
prophet in his own right,

had read the other prophecies
00:08:32.73\00:08:34.31
concerning the
captivity of Israel
00:08:34.34\00:08:36.07
and he knew from
Jeremiah's writings
00:08:36.10\00:08:38.29
that the Jewish people
were supposed to be captive
00:08:38.32\00:08:40.83
for just 70 years.
00:08:40.86\00:08:43.31
Daniel is now an old man.
00:08:43.34\00:08:44.93
He seeks the Lord to learn
00:08:44.96\00:08:46.23
when the people can
go back to Jerusalem
00:08:46.26\00:08:48.71
and he hears God say,
00:08:48.74\00:08:50.34
"Unto 2300 days then shall
the sanctuary be cleansed. "
00:08:50.37\00:08:55.48
He doesn't know what it means so
00:08:55.51\00:08:56.84
Gabriel comes to explain
that Babylon is coming to an end

and the rest of the
vision is for the future.

Daniel is sick.

Could it be that their
captivity would be prolonged?

Was Jeremiah's
prophecy somehow wrong?

Sure enough, the
Babylonian kingdom ends

and the Medes and the
Persians take over the empire.

Daniel begins to fast and pray

asking God to make known
the meaning of the vision.

So God sends word to Daniel and
begins to explain the 2300 days,

the longest time
prophecy in scripture.

Right here in Daniel chapter 9

He begins to break down the
prophecy into bite-sized pieces.

He tells Daniel the
beginning date of the 2300 days,

and even puts in
mile markers as it were,

predicts certain
events along the time line

so that anyone who considers
this prophecy will know for sure

that God knows the
future even before it happens.

anything out of this prophecy

we first need a beginning date.

Let's look at Daniel
9 and verse 25 together.

the Prince shall be seven weeks,

the street shall be built again,

in troublous times. "

The historical date
that anchors this prophecy is

"... the commandment to restore
and to build Jerusalem... "

that this commandment

was made by Artaxerxes,
king of Persia in 457 B.C.

have a beginning date

the most important mile post

in the midst of the 70th week

The sanctuary lamb,

Seventy prophetic

and the stoning of Stephen.

merciful to his chosen people

continual disobedience.

But there is a limit
to God's forbearance.

Daniel was clearly
told that a date was set

for the probation of

to decide if they were
going to be His people.

It was in this year
that the Jewish Nation

stoning of Stephen.

They had the
prophecies of Daniel and Isaiah.

They should have been ready to
receive Messiah right on time.

The prophet Micah had told them

Messiah was to be
born in Bethlehem,

They knew the
prophecies of Moses

The wise men from the East

of this when they said,

But Stephen was an eyewitness
to their final rejection...

in heart and ears!"

Stephen said to them.

resist the Holy Spirit;

as your fathers did, so do you.

Which of the prophets did
your fathers not persecute?

And they killed
those who foretold

the coming of the Just One,

Instead of the leaders and the
people repenting at this truth

and pleading with God
to give them a new heart

they rushed upon Stephen,
grabbing him, biting him,

shoving him outside the city

where they stoned him to death.

Their probation had closed.

No longer as a Nation
would they be the favored ones.

Only as individuals,

believing in the
Messiah were they to be saved.
