meaning for the word Saved.

Recently I was in Israel

As I look at this grave I
wonder how many other men,

women, and children
need real salvation.

Not just from
one war, one cancer,

one accident but real salvation:

eternal salvation
that will keep us from ever

going to another funeral.

Real salvation that will allow
us to live with God in heaven

someday where there will
be no sickness, no death,

This angel brought
that rebellion to earth

parents to rebel with him.

God told Adam and Eve that
their happiness was dependant

upon complete
obedience to His law of love.

they disobeyed they would die.

But they chose
to sin, to disobey.

perspective of what SAVED is.

Perhaps you are one of
those people who've been asked,

"Are You Saved?"

For me the answer is simple.

I have been saved

and I am being saved

and by faith, I will be.

SAVED is like a
simple math problem,

1 + 1 + 1 equals 3.

If three is SAVED
you need all three parts

to have complete salvation.

Let me explain.

This is SALVATION.

But complete
salvation is made up of three

The first part of SAVED
is called Justification.

This is the part where
God calls you righteous.

which was given to us in
Christ Jesus before time began.

spoken by God before it happened

his wife at 90 and well
past child bearing Isaac is born

to this aged couple just because
God decided - and made it so.

That's the power of
God's justification.

it is written, I have made thee

a father of many nations,)
before whom he believed,

though they were.

Abraham wasn't even
a father of one child

let alone a great nation.
But God calls those things

So the first part of
the SALVATION process

is Justification.

God calling you
saved, calling you perfect,

son, His daughter.

You look at yourself and you
say, "No way. I'm not perfect,

I'm not sinless. "

But you are in Him.
That's the message Paul

is trying to get the
folks in Ephesus to understand.

of the world, that we should be

Justification is
what He did for us.

Now let's look at the
second part of SALVATION,

it's called Sanctification.

Sanctify in the
Bible is the same as Holy.

Something that is
holy or sanctified

is something that is
set apart for a certain use.

Your iron for example.

Your iron might be holy
for ironing your clothes.

You don't want
your children to use it

for waxing their snowboards.

If we were going to be
SAVED then we must be Holy,

we must be
Sanctified, we must be set apart

for God and God alone.

This step, Sanctification, is
where God doesn't just call us

righteous, but He actually
and in fact makes us righteous.

And He has to do this miracle,
this new heart transplant

because only good people
get to go into the Holy city.

Do you not know that
the wicked will not inherit

Sanctification is the
step in Salvation that gives us

Some folks think it doesn't
matter if we keep on sinning

just as long as we accept God's
declaration of Justification

but the Bible
tells us differently.

Jesus tells us that heaven,
His New Jerusalem will be

safety and holiness.

Justification is God declaring

Sanctification is God
making us fit to live with Him.

Glorification is when
God gives us a new body

Just imagine a man and a woman
who love each other deeply.

child and wait patiently

is ready to be born.

great day - He's born!

Now they plan with joy to

That child is loved, it was
loved before it was conceived.

carried and now the parents

are ready to take their
treasure home but they discover

family has a heart problem.

they love their baby less?

This is what justification does.

Justification declares,

"I still love this
child. He is precious to me. "

Nothing is withheld to make sure

the child gets
well and can come home.

No money is too much money.

No care is too much
care, no trial too heavy,

no waiting too long.

This is what
Sanctification is all about.

Just as surely as the
child is loved and cherished

by the parents,
even with the defects,

they are not contented to
leave their precious treasure

perfect condition.

And so the work is
