>> Welcome and thank you 00:00:01.00\00:00:01.90 for joining us on 00:00:01.90\00:00:02.80 It Is Written Canada. 00:00:02.80\00:00:04.83 Let me ask you a question: 00:00:04.83\00:00:06.43 Do you like art? 00:00:06.43\00:00:08.24 Maybe you are an artist or 00:00:08.24\00:00:10.21 maybe you like watching an 00:00:10.21\00:00:11.74 artist work on a drawing 00:00:11.74\00:00:14.14 or a painting. 00:00:14.14\00:00:15.44 My father was a trained artist 00:00:15.44\00:00:17.75 so it's fascinating to me 00:00:17.75\00:00:19.68 whenever I see someone 00:00:19.68\00:00:21.58 creating some kind of 00:00:21.58\00:00:22.62 masterpiece. 00:00:22.62\00:00:25.09 So we want you to imagine 00:00:25.09\00:00:26.52 right now that at this very 00:00:26.52\00:00:28.66 moment, you have the 00:00:28.66\00:00:30.09 opportunity, the wonderful 00:00:30.09\00:00:31.83 privilege of walking into the 00:00:31.83\00:00:33.80 studio of a great artist who 00:00:33.80\00:00:36.50 is working on an intriguing 00:00:36.50\00:00:38.23 work of art. 00:00:38.23\00:00:40.37 >> The artist takes out a white 00:00:40.37\00:00:42.74 sheet of paper and haphazardly 00:00:42.74\00:00:45.07 peppers black dots here and 00:00:45.07\00:00:46.57 there on the page. 00:00:46.57\00:00:49.18 You press your eyes tightly 00:00:49.18\00:00:50.95 together and try and make 00:00:50.95\00:00:52.58 sense of this mess of dark 00:00:52.58\00:00:54.48 dots, but the creation is no 00:00:54.48\00:00:57.65 more than an irregular 00:00:57.65\00:00:59.45 splattering of inky marks. 00:00:59.45\00:01:01.66 [Mike] And and then the artist 00:01:01.66\00:01:03.02 adds a series of straight 00:01:03.02\00:01:05.36 parallel lines across the 00:01:05.36\00:01:06.96 page, puts in a few rests, 00:01:06.96\00:01:09.73 a cleft and the musical notes 00:01:09.73\00:01:14.90 miraculously materialize 00:01:14.90\00:01:16.57 on the sheet. 00:01:16.57\00:01:18.31 Grabbing a musical instrument, 00:01:19.37\00:01:20.91 the artist plays the 00:01:20.91\00:01:22.58 composition from the page and 00:01:22.58\00:01:24.85 the sweet sounds stir you and 00:01:24.85\00:01:27.28 touch a chord within your soul 00:01:27.28\00:01:29.45 as you listen to the 00:01:29.45\00:01:31.29 harmonized music of 00:01:31.29\00:01:33.69 the Doxology. 00:01:33.69\00:01:35.82 "Praise God from Whom all" 00:01:35.82\00:01:37.36 "blessings flow," 00:01:37.36\00:01:38.59 "Praise Him all creatures" 00:01:38.59\00:01:40.13 "here below." 00:01:40.13\00:01:42.73 >> Sometimes dark dots and 00:01:42.73\00:01:44.57 spots spray themselves across 00:01:44.57\00:01:46.67 the pages of your life 00:01:46.67\00:01:49.30 and you may feel perplexed by 00:01:49.30\00:01:51.77 their presence. 00:01:51.77\00:01:53.41 Why are they there? 00:01:53.41\00:01:55.51 >> But when you let your 00:01:55.51\00:01:57.75 Creator, the Master Artist 00:01:57.75\00:01:59.58 come into your heart, to clear 00:01:59.58\00:02:01.88 aside the confusion by adding 00:02:01.88\00:02:04.99 His finishing touches across 00:02:04.99\00:02:07.22 the page, when you wait for 00:02:07.22\00:02:08.89 Him to put in a few rests at 00:02:08.89\00:02:12.19 the proper places, musical 00:02:12.19\00:02:14.40 notes miraculously materialize 00:02:14.40\00:02:17.27 and out of the inky 00:02:17.27\00:02:18.63 distressing dots and upsetting 00:02:18.63\00:02:20.47 spots, He makes a 00:02:20.47\00:02:22.60 glorious melody. 00:02:22.60\00:02:24.91 >> When a musician presses the 00:02:24.91\00:02:26.84 black keys on a piano, the 00:02:26.84\00:02:29.68 music is as sweet as when she 00:02:29.68\00:02:31.51 touches the white keys, 00:02:31.51\00:02:33.85 but to get the capacity of 00:02:33.85\00:02:35.75 the instrument, she must 00:02:35.75\00:02:38.22 touch them all. 00:02:38.22\00:02:40.39 So here is our challenge for 00:02:40.39\00:02:42.62 you today: when you open your 00:02:42.62\00:02:45.36 eyes in the morning, thank God 00:02:45.36\00:02:47.60 that He has kept you through 00:02:47.60\00:02:49.30 the night, ask Him to put a 00:02:49.30\00:02:52.47 song into your heart. 00:02:52.47\00:02:55.47 Morning, noon, and night, let 00:02:55.47\00:02:58.47 gratitude like a sweet 00:02:58.47\00:03:00.38 perfume, rise from your lips 00:03:00.38\00:03:03.48 up to heaven. 00:03:03.48\00:03:04.88 >> God's angels will guard you 00:03:04.88\00:03:06.88 against evil and press back 00:03:06.88\00:03:08.88 the powers of darkness that 00:03:08.88\00:03:10.85 are seeking to destroy you. 00:03:10.85\00:03:13.29 You have so many reasons to be 00:03:13.29\00:03:15.79 thankful every moment, 00:03:15.79\00:03:17.36 thankful when you go through 00:03:17.36\00:03:20.66 the Valley of the Shadow of 00:03:20.66\00:03:22.50 Death, God is with you. 00:03:22.50\00:03:25.50 >> Today on It Is Written 00:03:26.57\00:03:27.87 Canada, you're going to see 00:03:27.87\00:03:30.14 how God has created you for 00:03:30.14\00:03:32.37 connection and how He is with 00:03:32.37\00:03:34.84 you, even when you have to 00:03:34.84\00:03:36.98 face physical and 00:03:36.98\00:03:38.81 social isolation. 00:03:38.81\00:03:41.48 ¤¤ 00:03:44.39\00:04:18.92 >> Ever since I was a tiny 00:04:30.07\00:04:31.63 human, I have loved hugs and 00:04:31.63\00:04:34.14 maybe you can identify. 00:04:34.14\00:04:35.74 My mom, my dad, my brothers, 00:04:35.74\00:04:37.47 my friends, I embraced 00:04:37.47\00:04:39.24 them all. 00:04:39.24\00:04:40.88 And then my parents divorced. 00:04:40.88\00:04:44.18 My mom took us, myself and my 00:04:44.18\00:04:47.52 three brothers on a train ride 00:04:47.52\00:04:49.32 from Sudbury, Ontario to 00:04:49.32\00:04:50.92 Regina, Saskatchewan. 00:04:50.92\00:04:52.49 And because she was not able 00:04:52.49\00:04:54.36 to care for all four of us, 00:04:54.36\00:04:57.09 she placed us in an orphanage 00:04:57.09\00:04:59.09 called The Orange Home and we 00:04:59.09\00:05:00.63 were the Lemon brothers and it 00:05:00.63\00:05:02.36 was in a little town by the 00:05:02.36\00:05:03.50 name of Indian Head. 00:05:03.50\00:05:05.37 My eldest brother, Joe, he 00:05:05.37\00:05:06.97 went to the Orange Home farm 00:05:06.97\00:05:08.47 which was out of town and my 00:05:08.47\00:05:10.11 older brothers, Pete and Bob, 00:05:10.11\00:05:11.84 who were twins, they stayed in 00:05:11.84\00:05:13.84 the big boys dorm while I was 00:05:13.84\00:05:16.08 consigned to the 00:05:16.08\00:05:17.78 little boys dorm. 00:05:17.78\00:05:20.08 I was three years old at the 00:05:20.08\00:05:21.22 time and the physical 00:05:21.22\00:05:23.12 distancing meant no more hugs. 00:05:23.12\00:05:27.79 [René] Medical research 00:05:27.79\00:05:29.39 informs us that hugs boost the 00:05:29.39\00:05:31.83 immune system of all humans 00:05:31.83\00:05:34.20 and makes them happier, 00:05:34.20\00:05:36.70 even the day when I saw my big 00:05:44.17\00:05:47.08 brother, Pete, and he was in 00:05:47.08\00:05:48.91 the yard at the orphanage, he 00:05:48.91\00:05:50.18 was surrounded by a swarm of 00:05:50.18\00:05:51.58 other boys and I ran to him 00:05:51.58\00:05:53.21 and I wrapped my tiny-tot 00:05:53.21\00:05:55.18 little arms around his big-boy 00:05:55.18\00:05:56.48 waist and he 43, really 00:13:35.18\00:13:38.71 helped me to deal with 00:13:38.71\00:13:40.28 all the rain. 00:13:40.28\00:13:42.25 The days were gray, dreary, 00:13:42.25\00:13:45.12 and wet, very wet. 00:13:45.12\00:13:47.62 >> I think that we both 00:13:47.62\00:13:49.06 realized that if we wanted to 00:13:49.06\00:13:51.79 get outside we were gonna have 00:13:51.79\00:13:53.56 to go out into the rain and if 00:13:53.56\00:13:56.93 we waited for it to stop, 00:13:56.93\00:14:00.14 we would get nothing done. 00:14:00.14\00:14:01.50 And so we love to run and so 00:14:01.50\00:14:03.30 we went out running in the 00:14:03.30\00:14:04.71 rain and of course we got 00:14:04.71\00:14:05.77 sopping wet, completely 00:14:05.77\00:14:07.04 drenched. 00:14:07.04\00:14:09.48 >> After a few days of these 00:14:09.48\00:14:11.48 miserable conditions, 00:14:11.48\00:14:12.95 I couldn't take the 00:14:12.95\00:14:14.42 darkness anymore. 00:14:14.42\00:14:16.35 I was starting to feel uptight 00:14:16.35\00:14:18.39 and despondent and I wondered 00:14:18.39\00:14:20.89 how anyone could possibly live 00:14:20.89\00:14:23.79 with all this rain. 00:14:23.79\00:14:25.06 >> And that's when you 00:14:25.06\00:14:25.86 started to pray. 00:14:25.86\00:14:27.36 >> Yes, I prayed that God 00:14:27.36\00:14:29.06 would lift my spirits. 00:14:29.06\00:14:30.90 I needed to feel better. 00:14:30.90\00:14:32.93 I needed to be cheerful 00:14:32.93\00:14:34.44 and be a ray of sunshine 00:14:34.44\00:14:36.00 for our daughter. 00:14:36.00\00:14:37.87 And immediately God led my 00:14:37.87\00:14:39.51 mind to Isaiah 43. 00:14:39.51\00:14:42.28 When I thought of those words, 00:14:55.76\00:14:58.09 I knew God was talking 00:14:58.09\00:14:59.46 to me directly. 00:14:59.46\00:15:01.73 Although nonstop rain was in 00:15:01.73\00:15:03.90 the forecast, that was when 00:15:03.90\00:15:06.80 the rain stopped. 00:15:06.80\00:15:09.64 God answered my prayer by 00:15:09.64\00:15:12.44 stopping the rain just for me 00:15:12.44\00:15:15.71 because He knew that was 00:15:15.71\00:15:18.45 exactly what I needed. 00:15:18.45\00:15:21.28 >> And I remember when 00:15:21.28\00:15:22.42 that happened. 00:15:22.42\00:15:23.28 It was supposed to rain 00:15:23.28\00:15:24.19 the whole day. 00:15:24.19\00:15:26.12 And then you told me that you 00:15:26.12\00:15:27.29 knew that God did it 00:15:27.29\00:15:29.49 specifically for you and you 00:15:29.49\00:15:31.06 told me the whole story behind 00:15:31.06\00:15:32.23 it and I believed it. 00:15:32.23\00:15:34.36 >> What impressed me most was 00:15:34.36\00:15:36.06 the word, "honoured." 00:15:36.06\00:15:38.20 God said to me in that verse, 00:15:38.20\00:15:41.34 "You have been honoured." 00:15:41.34\00:15:44.57 I'm supposed to honour God. 00:15:44.57\00:15:46.94 It's not supposed to be Him 00:15:46.94\00:15:49.21 honouring me, but He said... 00:15:49.21\00:15:52.18 [Mike] God is so good. 00:15:57.02\00:15:58.32 It's like when you have a 00:15:58.32\00:15:59.75 craving for something and then 00:15:59.75\00:16:01.76 you get to taste it. 00:16:01.76\00:16:03.46 It's just so good. 00:16:03.46\00:16:05.96 >> Listen to this, the 00:16:05.96\00:16:07.50 prophet, Jeremiah, said... 00:16:07.50\00:16:09.53 When we feed on God's words by 00:16:18.91\00:16:20.91 memorizing Bible verses, it 00:16:20.91\00:16:23.71 draws our hearts closer to God 00:16:23.71\00:16:26.72 so that we can literally hear 00:16:26.72\00:16:28.52 Him speaking to us personally. 00:16:28.52\00:16:30.72 >> The Bible says... 00:16:30.72\00:16:32.52 It is so sweet when you take 00:16:36.36\00:16:39.46 in how good God is, consuming 00:16:39.46\00:16:42.53 sweet truth from the Bible and 00:16:42.53\00:16:44.30 it's very important to our 00:16:44.30\00:16:45.93 well-being to know that 00:16:45.93\00:16:48.17 He is our friend. 00:16:48.17\00:16:50.31 So we have a recipe from our 00:16:50.31\00:16:52.61 friends, Vanessa and Emelin, 00:16:52.61\00:16:55.04 who are going to share with us 00:16:55.04\00:16:56.75 right now and how good that 00:16:56.75\00:16:58.51 recipe is. 00:16:58.51\00:17:00.32 >> They're gonna make 00:17:00.32\00:17:01.45 what they call a 00:17:01.45\00:17:03.15 "Funky Monkey Smoothie," 00:17:03.15\00:17:05.69 so let's take a look. 00:17:05.69\00:17:07.76 >> Hey, everyone! 00:17:09.79\00:17:10.53 This is Mary... 00:17:10.53\00:17:12.06 >> And I'm Vanessa, this is my 00:17:12.06\00:17:13.86 daughter, Emelin, and today 00:17:13.86\00:17:15.36 we're gonna be making Emelin's 00:17:15.36\00:17:16.60 favourite smoothie. 00:17:16.60\00:17:17.77 What's it called? 00:17:17.77\00:17:18.70 >> Funky Monkey. 00:17:18.70\00:17:19.97 >> We're gonna start with 00:17:19.97\00:17:21.10 getting some frozen bananas. 00:17:21.10\00:17:23.77 So you'll notice these bananas 00:17:23.77\00:17:25.41 are a little bit brown. 00:17:25.41\00:17:27.51 >> I know, I noticed mine 00:17:27.51\00:17:28.68 would turn brown in my freezer 00:17:28.68\00:17:30.28 even though I've never-- 00:17:30.28\00:17:31.78 They weren't brown when I put 00:17:31.78\00:17:32.68 them in so what's that about? 00:17:32.68\00:17:35.08 >> So if you want the bananas 00:17:35.08\00:17:36.62 to stay nice and fresh-looking 00:17:36.62\00:17:38.39 then don't put anything on top 00:17:38.39\00:17:40.29 of them that isn't frozen yet. 00:17:40.29\00:17:42.16 >> Well, that's a really 00:17:42.16\00:17:43.02 good tip. 00:17:43.02\00:17:43.73 >> Yes! 00:17:43.73\00:17:44.69 OK, so we're just gonna chop 00:17:44.69\00:17:45.89 up these bananas. 00:17:45.89\00:17:47.40 We're gonna make them about, 00:17:47.40\00:17:49.03 mmm, an inch and a half, 00:17:49.03\00:17:51.73 something like that. 00:17:51.73\00:17:53.44 You don't need to take a ruler 00:17:53.44\00:17:54.54 out, just chop 'em up. 00:17:54.54\00:17:57.27 >> Some of the other 00:17:57.27\00:17:58.41 ingredients we have here, I 00:17:58.41\00:17:59.87 see here are peanut butter... 00:17:59.87\00:18:00.84 >> Yes. 00:18:00.84\00:18:02.08 >> Carob powder... 00:18:02.08\00:18:02.98 >> Mm-hmm. 00:18:02.98\00:18:03.88 >> Akava... 00:18:03.88\00:18:04.78 >> Akava. 00:18:04.78\00:18:05.68 >> What is Akava? 00:18:05.68\00:18:06.61 >> Akava is a coffee 00:18:06.61\00:18:08.28 substitute that does not have 00:18:08.28\00:18:10.62 any caffeine in it. 00:18:10.62\00:18:12.39 So we don't wanna fill our 00:18:12.39\00:18:13.72 blender too high... 00:18:13.72\00:18:16.02 we can always make some more. 00:18:16.02\00:18:17.59 And maybe, Mary, you could 00:18:18.83\00:18:19.79 throw those in the freezer. 00:18:19.79\00:18:21.33 So you'll wanna make sure you 00:18:21.33\00:18:22.56 put your bananas back into the 00:18:22.56\00:18:23.93 freezer as soon as you can so 00:18:23.93\00:18:25.37 they don't get too thawed out. 00:18:25.37\00:18:28.60 So we're gonna take our Akava 00:18:28.60\00:18:29.94 here and we're gonna put about 00:18:29.94\00:18:32.27 a tablespoon in. 00:18:32.27\00:18:34.08 OK... and then if you wanna 00:18:34.98\00:18:36.78 grab the carob there... 00:18:36.78\00:18:38.75 So carob powder is kind of 00:18:38.75\00:18:42.65 like chocolate, but 00:18:42.65\00:18:44.82 not exactly. 00:18:44.82\00:18:46.79 It doesn't have theobromine, 00:18:46.79\00:18:50.13 but it's full of antioxidants 00:18:50.13\00:18:52.29 and also fibre and it's just 00:18:52.29\00:18:55.30 really-- it's a really good 00:18:55.30\00:18:56.83 product to use. 00:18:56.83\00:18:58.67 So let's grab the 00:18:58.67\00:18:59.53 peanut butter. 00:18:59.53\00:19:00.87 OK, Emelin, you wanna put the 00:19:00.87\00:19:01.67 peanut butter in? 00:19:01.67\00:19:02.94 >> Have you ever used any 00:19:02.94\00:19:03.97 other nut butters with this? 00:19:03.97\00:19:04.97 >> Yes, definitely. 00:19:04.97\00:19:06.41 I've used almond butter which 00:19:06.41\00:19:07.71 is also very tasty and you can 00:19:07.71\00:19:10.15 use whatever, almond butter or 00:19:10.15\00:19:13.62 nut butter or seed butter that 00:19:13.62\00:19:14.88 you want to. 00:19:14.88\00:19:15.78 >> So like a sunflower seed 00:19:15.78\00:19:17.45 butter would be good for 00:19:17.45\00:19:19.05 anyone with nut allergies. 00:19:19.05\00:19:20.89 >> That's right, yeah. 00:19:20.89\00:19:22.36 So we're gonna throw in there 00:19:22.36\00:19:24.03 about a tablespoon of this... 00:19:24.03\00:19:25.83 >> Like that? 00:19:25.83\00:19:26.90 >> That looks great, Em. 00:19:26.90\00:19:28.23 Go ahead, just plop it 00:19:28.23\00:19:29.73 right in there. 00:19:29.73\00:19:31.17 Good job. 00:19:31.17\00:19:32.30 >> Peanut butter's so yummy. 00:19:32.30\00:19:33.57 >> OK, put that over there. 00:19:33.57\00:19:36.77 And then last, but definitely 00:19:36.77\00:19:39.34 not least we are going to be 00:19:39.34\00:19:41.41 putting in some 00:19:41.41\00:19:43.81 plant-based milk. 00:19:43.81\00:19:45.61 Here's some almond milk, but 00:19:45.61\00:19:46.85 you can use whatever kind of 00:19:46.85\00:19:48.02 milk you want to. 00:19:48.02\00:19:49.55 So what we're going to do is 00:19:49.55\00:19:51.35 we're going to-- if you have 00:19:51.35\00:19:52.82 very frozen bananas, you might 00:19:52.82\00:19:54.56 need to add more, but these 00:19:54.56\00:19:55.86 bananas are not so hard so I 00:19:55.86\00:19:57.69 wanna be careful not to put 00:19:57.69\00:19:59.49 too much 'cause if you like 00:19:59.49\00:20:01.20 kind of a more thicker 00:20:01.20\00:20:02.66 consistently-- consistency, 00:20:02.66\00:20:04.67 you're going to want to put 00:20:04.67\00:20:05.70 less milk. 00:20:05.70\00:20:07.00 >> OK, so is this on? 00:20:07.00\00:20:09.07 It is on we're just gonna put 00:20:09.07\00:20:10.24 it on, it think it's on the 00:20:10.24\00:20:11.24 smoothie setting... 00:20:11.24\00:20:12.64 and then you just push this 00:20:12.64\00:20:13.68 button down here. 00:20:13.68\00:20:14.94 Just push this one. 00:20:14.94\00:20:16.08 Perfect! 00:20:17.41\00:20:18.65 [blender whirring] 00:20:18.65\00:20:20.28 [playful music] 00:20:20.28\00:20:22.32 Here we go, we have our 00:20:26.62\00:20:27.76 Funky Monkey, does that look 00:20:27.76\00:20:28.66 about right, Emelin? 00:20:28.66\00:20:30.16 Yeah? 00:20:30.16\00:20:31.33 Alright, so let's get our 00:20:31.33\00:20:33.03 cups out and we can 00:20:33.03\00:20:34.13 give this a try. 00:20:34.13\00:20:36.26 Mmm, what do you think 00:20:36.26\00:20:37.13 about that? 00:20:37.13\00:20:38.37 [clicks tongue] 00:20:38.37\00:20:39.47 Mmm, looks so good! 00:20:39.47\00:20:42.84 Alright, so let's get... 00:20:44.11\00:20:46.78 We're gonna use a spoon here 00:20:46.78\00:20:48.38 and I'm gonna let Mary kind of 00:20:48.38\00:20:49.71 guide this out. 00:20:49.71\00:20:50.81 So when you're pouring 00:20:50.81\00:20:51.65 smoothie, obviously it's nice 00:20:51.65\00:20:53.28 to have something to kind of 00:20:53.28\00:20:54.72 guide it out otherwise it 00:20:54.72\00:20:56.12 might just plop right out and 00:20:56.12\00:20:57.35 then end up all over the place. 00:20:57.35\00:20:59.05 [Mary] That happened... 00:20:59.05\00:21:00.22 [Vanessa] Many times! 00:21:00.22\00:21:01.32 OK, so that's probably 00:21:01.32\00:21:02.39 about good. 00:21:02.39\00:21:03.63 There she goes, she can't 00:21:05.69\00:21:06.49 even wait. 00:21:06.49\00:21:07.66 >> Can't wait when it's in 00:21:07.66\00:21:08.73 front of you, just have to. 00:21:08.73\00:21:09.86 >> That's good. 00:21:09.86\00:21:11.07 >> It's irresistible! 00:21:11.07\00:21:12.30 >> It is irresistible, 00:21:12.30\00:21:13.13 that's for sure! 00:21:13.13\00:21:14.44 There we go, 00:21:15.57\00:21:16.97 kind of let it drip. 00:21:16.97\00:21:18.77 OK, so, and we're gonna grab 00:23:30.14\00:23:31.81 "Blessed is the man who walks" 00:23:31.81\00:23:33.51 "not in the counsel of the" 00:23:33.51\00:23:35.11 "ungodly, nor stands in the" 00:23:35.11\00:23:36.75 "path of sinners nor sits in" 00:23:36.75\00:23:38.41 "the seat of the scornful," 00:23:38.41\00:23:40.42 "but his delight is in the" 00:23:40.42\00:23:42.35 "law of the Lord and in his" 00:23:42.35\00:23:43.65 "law he meditates day" 00:23:43.65\00:23:44.85 "and night." 00:23:44.85\00:23:46.12 So I went through the entire 00:23:46.12\00:23:47.62 Psalm, word for word, and I 00:23:47.62\00:23:49.79 still had this blah feeling and 00:23:49.79\00:23:51.56 so I went on to another Psalm, 00:23:51.56\00:23:52.96 well-known Psalm, Psalm 23, 00:23:52.96\00:23:54.46 "The Lord is my shepherd," 00:23:54.46\00:23:55.53 "I shall not want, He makes" 00:23:55.53\00:23:56.63 "me to lie down in green" 00:23:56.63\00:23:57.57 "pastures, He restores my" 00:23:57.57\00:23:59.03 "soul..." 00:23:59.03\00:24:00.80 So I went through that entire 00:24:00.80\00:24:02.00 Psalm and still I had that 00:24:02.00\00:24:03.04 blah feeling and then 00:24:03.04\00:24:04.77 Psalm 40, "I waited patiently" 00:24:04.77\00:24:07.91 "for the Lord and He inclined" 00:24:07.91\00:24:10.45 "unto me and He heard my cry." 00:24:10.45\00:24:13.18 But I still had that feeling, 00:24:13.18\00:24:15.35 like I said, I couldn't shake 00:24:15.35\00:24:16.79 it, and so I prayed again. 00:24:16.79\00:24:19.79 And the Lord reminded me of 00:24:19.79\00:24:20.96 Psalm 67 and it said... 00:24:20.96\00:24:23.19 So that was when it hit me. 00:24:36.17\00:24:37.84 It was like a switch went on. 00:24:37.84\00:24:39.01 It was like I was asking 00:24:39.01\00:24:40.34 God to bless me and now He's 00:24:40.34\00:24:42.04 giving me health and strength 00:24:42.04\00:24:43.85 and it wasn't my thoughts, 00:24:43.85\00:24:46.65 it was like God was talking to 00:24:46.65\00:24:47.98 me and I could hear those 00:24:47.98\00:24:49.28 words in my mind and then the 00:24:49.28\00:24:50.89 next words were just coming 00:24:50.89\00:24:52.62 from deep in my soul... 00:24:52.62\00:24:54.12 And it really did come from 00:25:01.86\00:25:03.70 inside, I heard those words in 00:25:03.70\00:25:06.57 my mind and that blah feeling, 00:25:06.57\00:25:08.60 it lifted. 00:25:08.60\00:25:09.80 It completely evaporated 00:25:09.80\00:25:12.37 and I was filled with this joy 00:25:12.37\00:25:14.94 and I could rest and I fell 00:25:14.94\00:25:17.18 into a deep, peaceful 00:25:17.18\00:25:19.11 night's sleep. 00:25:19.11\00:25:20.92 >> That's what it means to 00:25:22.25\00:25:23.95 taste and see that the 00:25:23.95\00:25:26.05 Lord is good. 00:25:26.05\00:25:27.49 >> And anyone can have that 00:25:29.42\00:25:31.69 kind of experience. 00:25:31.69\00:25:34.00 You don't have to be super 00:25:34.00\00:25:36.00 religious, you just need a 00:25:36.00\00:25:38.43 Bible, prayer and a little 00:25:38.43\00:25:42.04 bit of faith. 00:25:42.04\00:25:43.37 >> Jesus says even if your 00:25:44.41\00:25:46.47 faith is the size of a tiny 00:25:46.47\00:25:49.21 mustard seed, it's enough to 00:25:49.21\00:25:51.45 move mountains. 00:25:51.45\00:25:53.82 So as we end our program 00:25:53.82\00:25:56.18 today, let's pray together 00:25:56.18\00:25:58.95 that our faith in God and His 00:25:58.95\00:26:01.56 life-giving word will grow. 00:26:01.56\00:26:05.29 Let's pray to Him right now. 00:26:05.29\00:26:08.36 [Mike] Our Father, we know the 00:26:10.43\00:26:14.04 words we find in the Bible are 00:26:14.04\00:26:16.04 true, they are life-giving, 00:26:16.04\00:26:19.01 and we can trust them because 00:26:19.01\00:26:21.61 they are Your words to us. 00:26:21.61\00:26:25.31 [René] Lord, we know that Your 00:26:25.31\00:26:27.52 word endures forever and we 00:26:27.52\00:26:30.99 thank You that we have been 00:26:30.99\00:26:32.75 born again through the word 00:26:32.75\00:26:34.46 of God which lives and 00:26:34.46\00:26:36.79 abides forever. 00:26:36.79\00:26:39.63 In Jesus' name we pray, amen. 00:26:39.63\00:26:43.70 [Mike] Friends, let me ask you 00:26:43.70\00:26:44.57 a question: way down deep 00:26:44.57\00:26:45.67 inside, is there something 00:26:45.67\00:26:47.90 that you most long for?
