fire for the 00:03:48.36\00:03:50.36 Lord in everything he does, 00:03:50.36\00:03:51.86 but the truth is is that for 00:03:51.86\00:03:53.50 over ten years he was on 00:03:53.50\00:03:54.86 medication for blood pressure, 00:03:54.86\00:03:56.43 lots of gout flare-ups and it 00:03:56.43\00:03:59.13 was holding back his ministry. 00:03:59.13\00:04:00.50 So I will let him 00:04:00.50\00:04:02.07 tell his story. 00:04:02.07\00:04:04.44 >> My name is Emmanuel Dontoh 00:04:04.44\00:04:06.17 and a couple weeks back, 00:04:06.17\00:04:08.28 actually no, in August I 00:04:08.28\00:04:10.31 changed jobs, moved into this 00:04:10.31\00:04:12.45 neighbourhood around Progress 00:04:12.45\00:04:13.92 in Scarborough. 00:04:13.92\00:04:15.42 Prior to that I'd suffered a 00:04:15.42\00:04:17.32 couple of gout attacks 00:04:17.32\00:04:19.72 and I've been struggling with 00:04:19.72\00:04:22.86 blood pressure for, I would 00:04:22.86\00:04:24.43 say, close to about eight to 00:04:24.43\00:04:25.73 nine years now. 00:04:25.73\00:04:27.40 So I was put on medication a 00:04:27.40\00:04:28.73 couple years back. 00:04:28.73\00:04:29.93 I haven't seen any improvement 00:04:29.93\00:04:31.07 in my blood pressure. 00:04:31.07\00:04:32.37 As a matter of fact, last 00:04:32.37\00:04:33.54 couple months was scary. 00:04:33.54\00:04:35.40 I was teetering around 160, 00:04:35.40\00:04:37.51 170 and there were times that 00:04:37.51\00:04:39.87 I just felt like walking into 00:04:39.87\00:04:41.21 the hospital. 00:04:41.21\00:04:42.51 But then as I moved here, I 00:04:42.51\00:04:44.25 found this cool, nice, 00:04:44.25\00:04:47.38 you know, shack here that 00:04:47.38\00:04:49.05 obviously produces healthy 00:04:49.05\00:04:51.59 food so I came in here, 00:04:51.59\00:04:54.22 tried a couple of their drinks 00:04:54.22\00:04:55.82 for a couple days and then 00:04:55.82\00:04:57.83 decided to go on their plan. 00:04:57.83\00:04:59.76 And speaking to Carolyn, 00:04:59.76\00:05:01.70 who is obviously one of the 00:05:01.70\00:05:03.90 owners here, we spoke about 00:05:03.90\00:05:05.90 my lifestyle and I realized 00:05:05.90\00:05:07.30 that I was doing 00:05:07.30\00:05:08.34 everything opposite. 00:05:08.34\00:05:10.04 I mean, in terms of my eating 00:05:10.04\00:05:11.67 habits, my sleeping habits, 00:05:11.67\00:05:14.38 and all that came with it. 00:05:14.38\00:05:15.84 So we decided to go on a plan, 00:05:15.84\00:05:18.91 I did a detox for three days 00:05:18.91\00:05:21.25 and immediately I saw 00:05:21.25\00:05:23.22 a change. 00:05:23.22\00:05:24.52 I mean, my blood pressure 00:05:24.52\00:05:25.49 was around 164, 00:05:25.49\00:05:27.29 it came down to 137, 00:05:27.29\00:05:30.59 it was teetering around 142. 00:05:30.59\00:05:32.66 And I'm happy to say that it's 00:05:32.66\00:05:34.93 been-- I've been on their plan 00:05:34.93\00:05:36.26 for three weeks now, my blood 00:05:36.26\00:05:38.70 pressure has been teetering 00:05:38.70\00:05:40.04 around 127, 131 and it's 00:05:40.04\00:05:42.87 worked magic. 00:05:42.87\00:05:43.84 So I sleep well, sleep very 00:05:43.84\00:05:45.31 early, I've been following the 00:05:45.31\00:05:47.44 plan, I've been drinking a lot 00:05:47.44\00:05:48.61 of water, I've been 00:05:48.61\00:05:49.58 exercising, and I've been 00:05:49.58\00:05:52.15 taking life very easy and it's 00:05:52.15\00:05:53.52 worked out very well. 00:05:53.52\00:05:54.55 I really recommend this to 00:05:54.55\00:05:56.52 anyone who is struggling. 00:05:56.52\00:05:58.52 [Interviewer] What kinds of 00:05:58.52\00:05:59.49 medication are you on? 00:05:59.49\00:06:00.56 >> Nothing, I've stopped 00:06:00.56\00:06:01.59 taking my medication. 00:06:01.59\00:06:02.39 For ten years I was taking 00:06:02.39\00:06:03.46 these medications and it 00:06:03.46\00:06:04.66 did nothing. 00:06:04.66\00:06:05.56 So all it takes is your 00:06:05.56\00:06:07.20 lifestyle change, eating the 00:06:07.20\00:06:08.90 right food... 00:06:08.90\00:06:10.17 You know what, I should have 00:06:10.17\00:06:11.20 been on this a long time ago. 00:06:11.20\00:06:13.40 So I really 00:06:24.85\00:06:26.65 shared them all, but I've 00:06:26.65\00:06:28.15 picked a few of my favourites. 00:06:28.15\00:06:31.05 I would-- the next one I'm 00:06:31.05\00:06:32.65 gonna share is Leolyn. 00:06:32.65\00:06:34.19 And you can see this picture 00:06:34.19\00:06:36.06 here, before and after. 00:06:36.06\00:06:38.43 Leolyn is a frontline worker 00:06:38.43\00:06:40.63 and she had been overworking 00:06:40.63\00:06:42.60 herself through all of COVID 00:06:42.60\00:06:44.73 and also has young children at 00:06:44.73\00:06:46.57 home, wasn't really taking 00:06:46.57\00:06:48.10 care of herself and she just 00:06:48.10\00:06:49.87 came to a place where she had 00:06:49.87\00:06:51.21 no more energy and, as a 00:06:51.21\00:06:52.64 nurse, she was bothered that 00:06:52.64\00:06:54.31 she was on medications for 00:06:54.31\00:06:55.54 blood pressure and 00:06:55.54\00:06:57.11 nothing was changing. 00:06:57.11\00:06:58.01 She felt like life was just 00:06:58.01\00:06:59.58 gonna give. 00:06:59.58\00:07:01.08 But after she joined our 00:07:01.08\00:07:02.92 program and although it was 00:07:02.92\00:07:04.69 hard for her to fathom going 00:07:29.64\00:07:31.45 And, of course, the bonus, she 00:07:31.45\00:07:32.61 lost weight in the process, 00:07:32.61\00:07:33.72 but she's medication-free 00:07:33.72\00:07:35.38 today and just-- she feels 00:07:35.38\00:07:36.72 like a kid again with the 00:07:36.72\00:07:37.89 amount of energy she has. 00:07:37.89\00:07:39.02 [Mike] That's impressive! 00:07:39.02\00:07:39.95 >> Yeah, our 00:07:45.79\00:07:47.60 only was she on insulin, but 00:07:47.60\00:07:49.13 medication for her diabetes as 00:07:49.13\00:07:51.00 well, she was on blood 00:07:51.00\00:07:52.07 pressure meds, acid reflux 00:07:52.07\00:07:53.60 meds, I mean she was just a 00:07:53.60\00:07:55.60 walking bottle of medication 00:07:55.60\00:07:57.34 and unhappy with everything. 00:07:57.34\00:07:59.51 So listen to Angela's story. 00:07:59.51\00:08:03.04 >> Hi, my name's Angela and I 00:08:03.04\00:08:04.45 began my journey with Carolyn 00:08:04.45\00:08:07.08 October 2020 and I came to 00:08:07.08\00:08:09.82 Carolyn with a lot of 00:08:09.82\00:08:11.35 different ailments. 00:08:11.35\00:08:12.65 I had high blood pressure, 00:08:12.65\00:08:14.99 acid reflux, diabetes, 00:08:14.99\00:08:18.09 and high cholesterol. 00:08:18.09\00:08:19.43 So Carolyn and I, I guess we 00:08:19.43\00:08:21.90 did sort of a-- we had to do 00:08:21.90\00:08:23.37 the reversal, we didn't-- 00:08:23.37\00:08:24.67 couldn't start with a detox 00:08:24.67\00:08:25.67 'cause I had so many issues 00:08:25.67\00:08:26.67 going on so we started with 00:08:26.67\00:08:29.20 the meal plan, the 30-day meal 00:08:29.20\00:08:30.57 plan and I would say within 00:08:30.57\00:08:33.44 the first day or two there was 00:08:33.44\00:08:37.21 no acid reflux and I was able 00:08:37.21\00:08:38.95 to stop my meds completely and 00:08:38.95\00:08:40.42 haven't been on them since. 00:08:40.42\00:08:42.22 So my diabetes now would be-- 00:08:42.22\00:08:45.25 my blood sugars were 00:08:45.25\00:08:47.42 normalizing way better than 00:08:47.42\00:08:48.79 the readings that I was 00:08:48.79\00:08:50.46 getting before and since then, 00:08:50.46\00:08:53.83 I'm still on diabetic 00:08:53.83\00:08:55.40 medication, but I was on two 00:08:55.40\00:08:57.17 types of insulin and now I'm 00:08:57.17\00:08:58.40 on one with the dose reduced 00:08:58.40\00:09:01.24 drastically and my meds have 00:09:01.24\00:09:02.97 been also cut. 00:09:02.97\00:09:04.27 So I've had some great 00:09:04.27\00:09:06.27 benefits and I was a complete 00:09:06.27\00:09:08.78 junk-food-eater before, but 00:09:08.78\00:09:11.98 now I spend my money on-- here 00:09:11.98\00:09:14.02 at Energy Shack with the great 00:09:14.02\00:09:15.45 meals, the salads, and the her 00:09:48.12\00:09:49.55 medication and she knows that 00:09:49.55\00:09:51.12 if she could keep it up on 00:09:51.12\00:09:53.09 this plant-based program, 00:09:53.09\00:09:54.32 she will be completely 00:09:54.32\00:09:56.06 medication-free one day, 00:09:56.06\00:09:57.33 just like Prabu. 00:09:57.33\00:09:59.43 When I met Prabu, he was so 00:09:59.43\00:10:01.13 excited to make this change 00:10:01.13\00:10:03.73 that be brought his whole 00:10:03.73\00:10:04.67 family in so I did a program 00:10:04.67\00:10:06.63 with his whole family, 00:10:06.63\00:10:07.77 but Prabu, honestly, was 00:10:07.77\00:10:09.50 extremely sick. 00:10:09.50\00:10:10.74 Because he had diabetes, 00:10:10.74\00:10:12.41 they had put him on a lot of 00:10:12.41\00:10:14.38 medication, but none would 00:10:14.38\00:10:15.51 agree with him. 00:10:15.51\00:10:16.81 He was in the hospital, 00:10:16.81\00:10:17.78 vomiting, they couldn't 00:10:17.78\00:10:19.21 get a medication that would 00:10:19.21\00:10:20.32 stay down. 00:10:20.32\00:10:21.42 He was very, very sick, but 00:10:21.42\00:10:22.68 his blood sugar was so high 00:10:22.68\00:10:24.39 and then someone told him 00:10:24.39\00:10:25.92 about the Energy Shack and I'm 00:10:25.92\00:10:27.22 gonna let him tell you how it 00:10:27.22\00:10:29.46 changed his life. 00:10:29.46\00:10:31.66 >> My name is Prabu, I've gone. 00:11:15.27\00:11:18.44 There's no-- I don't have 00:11:18.44\00:11:20.68 diabetes anymore in a sense 00:11:20.68\00:11:22.71 where my sugar level readings 00:11:22.71\00:11:25.21 are 4.4 right now at the time 00:11:25.21\00:11:29.88 I checked it today and it 00:11:29.88\00:11:32.52 hasn't gone past 6 in the last 00:11:32.52\00:11:35.79 three months, right? 00:11:35.79\00:11:37.96 And the first month that I was 00:11:37.96\00:11:39.93 in, it dropped right away. 00:11:39.93\00:11:42.20 I followed her program, 00:11:42.20\00:11:43.47 I followed her detox 00:11:43.47\00:11:45.00 procedures, right, and 00:11:45.00\00:11:47.37 followed their nutrition plan 00:11:47.37\00:11:49.10 that she gave me, right, and 00:11:49.10\00:11:51.34 it helped me go-- I had-- I and diarrhea 00:12:07.32\00:12:08.96 at the same time. 00:12:08.96\00:12:10.49 And then this is when a good 00:12:10.49\00:12:11.93 friend of mine introduced me 00:12:11.93\00:12:13.46 to Carolyn and I walked in, 00:12:13.46\00:12:15.50 you know, hoping that she 00:12:15.50\00:12:17.47 could make a change and she 00:12:17.47\00:12:18.43 did right away. 00:12:18.43\00:12:20.04 My kids are on the same diet 00:12:20.04\00:12:22.17 plan as she prescribed for 00:12:22.17\00:12:23.94 them and so is my wife and 00:12:23.94\00:12:26.51 she's lost a lot of weight and 00:12:26.51\00:12:28.71 she feels more healthier and 00:12:28.71\00:12:30.21 happier and more energetic. 00:12:30.21\00:12:32.51 One thing that I noticed with 00:12:32.51\00:12:33.98 her detox and her diet plan, 00:12:33.98\00:12:37.29 it gives me more energy to do 00:12:37.29\00:12:38.99 things that I wasn't able to 00:12:38.99\00:12:40.69 do before and I thank her very 00:12:40.69\00:12:43.43 much for
