Now, I'm sure my friends in 00:01:59.28\00:02:03.32 Saskatchewan have witnessed some very powerful tornadoes. I actually had the unfortunate 00:02:03.42\00:02:09.82 experience of going through Tuscaloosa, Mississippi in the aftermath of a tornado. It was a 00:02:09.92\00:02:18.23 devastating tornado, a mile wide in some instances. Here is the amazing thing: there was a 00:02:18.33\00:02:28.11 neighbourhood that we went through, there was not one home left. But in every instance, 00:02:28.21\00:02:35.55 what was still standing was the foundation. The foundation was solid, anchored to the earth. 00:02:35.65\00:02:44.59 And you see, friends, in the spiritual life, we need a foundation that will anchor us. 00:02:44.69\00:02:50.03 We need a foundation that will not be moved. And the Bible tells us what that foundation 00:02:50.13\00:02:56.44 is: that foundation is the sanctuary. Why is it the sanctuary? Because Jesus is in 00:02:56.54\00:03:02.84 the sanctuary in heaven. The sanctuary shows us that Jesus is a very personal God, that He 00:03:02.94\00:03:09.55 wants to have interaction with you. The sanctuary teaches us of the interaction of heaven and 00:03:09.65\00:03:15.96 earth. And you know, the person that's been helping us understand that is Pastor Karl 00:03:16.06\00:03:20.86 Tsatalbasidis. Pastor Karl, I want to welcome you back to It Is Written Canada. And today, 00:03:20.96\00:03:27.80 we're going to get right into it; we have a lot to cover But I want to take just a few 00:03:27.90\00:03:32.54 moments of review. Real sanctuary, where'sthe real sanctuary? PASTOR KARL: In 00:03:32.64\00:03:37.45 heaven. CHRIS: In heaven. And that real sanctuary in heaven teaches us of the interaction 00:03:37.55\00:03:43.82 between heaven and earth; not two separate, distinct time and nature and all separated, no, 00:03:43.92\00:03:53.19 no, no. It is time and space, God wanting to meet with mankind, and the sanctuary 00:03:53.29\00:04:00.50 teaches us all about that interaction. We talked about your personal testimony in our 00:04:00.60\00:04:04.91 last show, where you talked about how your learning about the sanctuary really drew you 00:04:05.01\00:04:09.64 into personal relationship with Jesus. But what we got most is, if we reject the sanctuary, when 00:04:09.74\00:04:20.09 we reject the sanctuary, we reject, we reject the Word of God. We cannot, we must not, 00:04:20.19\00:04:28.13 reject the sanctuary. And so, Pastor Karl, let's talk about this. The sanctuary teaches us 00:04:28.23\00:04:35.70 it has a purpose, it has a function, and it reveals some very important things. So let's 00:04:35.80\00:04:40.38 get right into it, Pastor Karl: What is it that the sanctuary reveals to us? PASTOR 00:04:40.48\00:04:45.61 KARL: Chris, I think one of the broadest themes in all of the Bible, aside from the sanctuary, 00:04:45.71\00:04:50.22 that the sanctuary reveals, is that there's actually this conflict going on between good 00:04:50.32\00:04:57.13 and evil, a conflict going on between Christ and Satan. And it really reveals this. Now, the 00:04:57.23\00:05:04.60 reason why this is so revolutionary is that - if your viewers will remember, and if 00:05:04.70\00:05:09.80 they don't, they will have to go back and review what we studied before - is that under Greek 00:05:09.90\00:05:14.41 thinking, which was promulgated by the little horn power, ultimate reality wasoutside of 00:05:14.51\00:05:21.32 time and space. The great controversy between Christ and 00:05:21.42\00:05:26.76 Satan is inseparablylinkedwithhistory. And so one of the reasons why 00:05:26.86\00:05:36.03 this theme has never really been resurrected from the Bible is because, again, the eyeglasses 00:05:36.13\00:05:41.90 that the Christian church was wearing simply did not look in this direction, because ultimate 00:05:42.00\00:05:48.01 reality is outside of time and space, and God was outside of time and space and incompatible 00:05:48.11\00:05:53.45 with time and space. And so this historical theme of a controversy going on between 00:05:53.55\00:05:58.35 Christ and Satan, as we see in the scriptures, and as we're about to find out, is integrally 00:05:58.45\00:06:02.42 connected with the sanctuary, was something they were not looking for. Their previous 00:06:02.52\00:06:09.53 eyeglassespresuppositions - a fancy word - prevented them from seeing that. And so once those 00:06:09.63\00:06:15.77 eyeglasses are removed and placed in check and say, "Wait a minute, God is not this 00:06:15.87\00:06:20.14 timeless, space-less God; He's able to dwell with us, as the sanctuary tells us," then we can 00:06:20.24\00:06:26.68 take a good look at the sanctuary to find out what it reveals. So, it really reveals 00:06:26.78\00:06:31.45 this great controversy between Christ and Satan. And I want to start with the book of Isiah 00:06:31.55\00:06:37.53 chapter 14. We're going to begin at verse 12. CHRIS: Alright. So Isaiah is going to rehearse a 00:06:37.63\00:06:45.83 little bitof the history. Now, one of the things that's important, as you're pointing 00:06:45.93\00:06:49.30 this out - and I'm not an expert in this area, Pastor Karl - but as you're talking, it came to 00:06:49.40\00:06:55.44 mind that Greek philosophy actually introduces what they believed to be a concept through 00:06:55.54\00:07:03.35 mythology to kind of demonstrate some of the great controversy theme. But the interesting thing 00:07:03.45\00:07:08.76 about it, good's not really good, because good can be evil; and evil's not really evil, 00:07:08.86\00:07:14.96 because sometimes evil is good. And it's this counterfeit for what really happens. The Bible 00:07:15.06\00:07:20.60 really describes where there is a real God Who is good, and a real devil who is evil, who come 00:07:20.70\00:07:28.34 into conflict with one another. You're going to read about that conflict here in Isaiah chapter 00:07:28.44\00:07:33.38 14. PASTOR KARL: That's right, yes. PASTOR KARL: Now, the first thing we need to do is just 00:07:57.94\00:08:00.38 establish the fact that this setting here is really a setting in the heavenly sanctuary. And 00:08:00.48\00:08:05.61 the key phrase is found in verse 13, when it says, "I will exalt my throne above the stars of 00:08:05.71\00:08:11.19 God: I will sit upon the mount of the congregation," that phrase "mount of the 00:08:11.29\00:08:16.02 congregation" actually refers to that heavenly sanctuary. Now, that's taken from two Hebrew 00:08:16.12\00:08:25.00 words: har and moad. And both of these words, if we do a word study on har, we'll find out 00:08:25.10\00:08:30.44 that in Exodus 15:17, Isaiah 66:20, Jeremiah 26:18, that that word har is connected with the 00:08:30.54\00:08:38.81 sanctuary. If we look at the word moad, in some versions of the Bible, the sanctuary is 00:08:38.91\00:08:43.32 referred to as a tent of meeting. CHRIS: A-ha. PASTOR KARL: And the word for "meeting" 00:08:43.42\00:08:49.72 there is the word for moad. And so you can look atExodus 29 verse 4, verse 10, verse 30, 00:08:49.82\00:08:54.93 verse 32, where moad is referring to the tent of meeting. So it's basically 00:08:55.03\00:09:00.14 demonstrating that the two words are integrallyconnected with the sanctuary. So the sanctuary here 00:09:00.24\00:09:06.57 reveals that there is a great controversy. And you can see it played out here with Lucifer, 00:09:06.68\00:09:12.91 whose objective was - it says, "I will ascend into heaven: I will exalt my throne above the 00:09:13.01\00:09:22.29 stars of God." We're going to get to Revelation 4 and 5 in just a minute here, which the 00:09:22.39\00:09:27.86 throne is the central aspect in those two chapters that are couched in this heavenly 00:09:27.96\00:09:33.84 sanctuary setting. And so wherever you have a throne, you have administration, you have 00:09:33.94\00:09:39.57 laws. And it's as if the enemy was saying, "I want to exalt my throne above the stars of God, 00:09:39.67\00:09:45.28 so Lord, Your throne is insufficient. Your throne and 00:09:45.38\00:09:50.65 administrations have problems. Your laws and Your And my throne is going to be superior to 00:09:50.75\00:09:57.26 Yours." And so this great controversy is started. And the Bible pulls the curtain aside 00:09:57.36\00:10:02.06 and says, "You know, he wasn't really interested in developing a better administration; he 00:10:02.16\00:10:06.84 wanted to be God." Now, he didn't want to be like God in character; he wanted to exercise 00:10:06.94\00:10:13.74 the privileges and prerogatives that only belong to God, through aiming at His law and His 00:10:13.84\00:10:21.22 administration as a major problem. CHRIS: So the sanctuary helps us understand there is an 00:10:21.32\00:10:27.69 angelic being by the name of Lucifer. Now, to the viewer, if you've missed our previous 00:10:27.79\00:10:34.86 series called "Star Wars" or the series "Noah: The Real Story," 00:10:34.96\00:10:42.30 www.itiswrittencanada.ca and there, find archives of our you can go to program, or you can go 00:10:42.40\00:10:49.64 to YouTube.com/IIWCanada. Find those archives. And when you find those archives, look up 00:10:49.74\00:10:55.92 "Noah: The Real Story," look up "Star Wars: The Battle Begins," and you see Lucifer, this angel 00:10:56.02\00:11:03.73 who attempts to dethrone God. And so that's what we're picking up here. Lucifer exists in the 00:11:03.83\00:11:11.00 sanctuary, and he's not interested in becoming like God - becausethe Bible is quite 00:11:11.10\00:11:15.80 clear: the character of God, He is our refuge, He is our strength, He is love-Lucifer is 00:11:15.90\00:11:22.48 interested in taking over. PASTOR KARL: Correct. CHRIS: He wants all the power taken to 00:11:22.58\00:11:29.38 himself. So the sanctuary helps us get a peek into the reality that's happening there in the 00:11:29.48\00:11:37.16 sanctuary in heaven where Lucifer actually tries to, for lack of a better word, he tries 00:11:37.26\00:11:43.13 to run a coup to take over. And we have insights later in the Bible that help give us a deeper 00:11:43.23\00:11:50.97 look onto that coup that the devil brings about. Where do we find that? PASTOR KARL: Well, I 00:11:51.07\00:11:57.78 wanted to mention something in connection with this, because in Isaiah 14, it says, "I will 00:11:57.88\00:12:01.18 exalt my throne above the stars of God." And it sounds like a nice little, "Well, I've got a 00:12:01.28\00:12:06.62 better way than God does." If you go to Revelation 12:7, the Bible actually says that there 00:12:06.72\00:12:12.09 was war in heaven. And it says Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his 00:12:12.19\00:12:16.53 angels, and they were kicked out. The interesting thing is, that word for war, in Revelation 00:12:16.63\00:12:23.81 12:7, is the Greek word polemos from which we get the English word "polemic." And so again - 00:12:23.91\00:12:31.25 and you can't fight a successful war without a successful disinformation and deception 00:12:31.35\00:12:37.95 campaign. And what Lucifer basically challenged God was with this: he didn't say, "God, 00:12:38.05\00:12:42.19 I'm stronger than You are." That contest would've been over before it even began. But he 00:12:42.29\00:12:49.86 basically said, "I'm more right than You are." And so how was God going to deal with that? Was 00:12:49.96\00:12:54.67 He just going to take out His bazooka and then blow him away and say, "Well, that'll teach 00:12:54.77\00:12:59.54 anybody else to challenge My authority"? When he challenged Him and said, "No, I'm more 00:12:59.64\00:13:04.98 right than you are," that meant that the longsuffering of God now had to be put into effect, 00:13:05.08\00:13:10.02 and God had to actually demonstrate, throughout ceaseless ages, Who He actually 00:13:10.12\00:13:17.79 was, so that you and I could behold it and not be beguiled by the enemy's deceptions. And so 00:13:17.89\00:13:24.73 this sanctuary reveals that, really, at the heart of it, this is an ideological warfare. I 00:13:24.83\00:13:29.70 used to teach my students that, you know, the devil, just like animals, they do divide and 00:13:29.80\00:13:34.98 conquer; well, with the Greek thinking, that's exactly what the enemy does. He dichotomizes 00:13:35.08\00:13:39.85 and separates things and says, "This is essential and this is not essential, and you know, 00:13:39.95\00:13:45.09 heaven is like this, and earth is like that," and there's all these dichotomies. And so 00:13:45.19\00:13:51.36 there's an ideological warfare going on. So this is a great controversy going on over the 00:13:51.46\00:13:55.93 character ofGod, over right versus wrong, over whether there's an absolute truth or 00:13:56.03\00:14:01.50 not, and so forth and so on. It's really a devastating attack here that we find. CHRIS: You 00:14:01.60\00:14:06.81 know, and what's fascinating, when you look at history, and when you look at the course of 00:14:06.91\00:14:14.68 history, the devil is waging this attack and certainly is winning battles. But along the 00:14:14.78\00:14:18.42 way - and we talked about this in some of our previous shows - there seems to be,amongst God's 00:14:18.52\00:14:25.16 people, a time of restoration, a time of revival; a time where they stray away, a time of 00:14:25.26\00:14:29.33 revival; a time of straying away, a time of revival. Something happens, when Jesus 00:14:29.43\00:14:38.57 exits this scene, when Jesus leaves this earth, returns to the sanctuary, the church seems 00:14:38.67\00:14:46.65 stable for a bit, but then the devil changes his tactic. You know, in the first century, the 00:14:46.75\00:14:53.25 devil attacked Christians through persecution of Rome. And during these great persecutions, 00:14:53.36\00:15:00.50 the churchhistorianTertullian wrote that the blood of the martyrs was as seed to the 00:15:00.60\00:15:09.87 church. The church exploded in growth. But the devil, because he's a tactician, realized he 00:15:09.97\00:15:13.84 had to change the game up a little bit. He had to distract people. And one of the 00:15:13.94\00:15:20.22 distractions is, you have to turn people away from the sanctuary. You have to crush the 00:15:20.32\00:15:27.39 sanctuary underfoot, because that's what establishes absolute truth. And so we've seen already 00:15:27.49\00:15:35.70 in Daniel 8 that he crushes, he trampled the sanctuary underfoot. And you've used the 00:15:35.80\00:15:39.77 word - and I like it so much - that through the little horn power, he eclipses the light 00:15:39.87\00:15:48.91 shining forth from the sanctuary, and he removes this. What else is happening there, 00:15:49.01\00:15:53.52 Pastor Karl? PASTOR KARL: Yeah, I want to go to Revelation chapter 4 and 5, because in 00:15:53.62\00:15:59.32 Isiah, we read about the fact that the enemy, he said, "I want to exalt my throne above the 00:15:59.42\00:16:06.39 stars of God." In Ezekiel - I'll just kind of allude to it for the sake of time here - in 00:16:06.49\00:16:12.30 Ezekiel 28:14, he's the anointed cherub, the enemy of souls. CHRIS: Yes, we're speaking of 00:16:12.40\00:16:16.64 Lucifer, who eventually becomes Satan. He was the anointed cherub. PASTOR KARL: Yes, and he 00:16:16.74\00:16:22.34 is there in the midst of the stones of fire, it says. So this phrase "in the midst of the 00:16:22.44\00:16:27.92 stones of fire," you also find that in Ezekiel 1:4-5 to refer to the living creatures that are 00:16:28.02\00:16:32.75 right around the throne and thepresence of God. So he's making his accusations from the 00:16:32.85\00:16:38.76 very presence of God there in the sanctuary. When we get to Revelation chapters 4 and 5, the 00:16:38.86\00:16:44.93 throne is mentioned about 17 times, just in those two chapters. I mean, let's take a 00:16:45.03\00:16:51.24 cursory glance here, and I want you to notice who is conspicuously absent this time 00:16:51.34\00:16:59.45 from the midst of the throne. So in Revelation 4:2, it says: PASTOR KARL: And there are many 00:17:42.99\00:17:47.66 other references that talk about. or in Revelation 5:6, it also talks about being in the 00:17:47.76\00:17:53.97 midst of the throne. And it finallyintroduces the Lamb of God. So in chapter 4, you have 00:17:54.07\00:18:01.34 this scene of, it's basically the Father seated on the throne. In Revelation chapter 5, there's 00:18:01.44\00:18:07.08 this strong angel who says, "Who's worthy to open the book and to loose the seals" that he 00:18:07.18\00:18:10.12 has in his hand? John looks in every direction, he can't find anyone. And finally, someone 00:18:10.22\00:18:16.26 says, "Hey, there's the Lamb of God." In verse 6, it says: PASTOR KARL: The one who is 00:18:29.47\00:18:34.68 conspicuously absent here is the one who made all those charges in the beginning, who said, "I'm 00:18:34.78\00:18:39.91 going to exalt my throne above the stars of God," or in Ezekiel 28, who was in the midst of the 00:18:40.02\00:18:43.59 stones of fire as the anointed cherub. In other words, as a result of the sacrifice of our 00:18:43.69\00:18:51.43 Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, He has overcome the enemy, and now, he is not there. He's 00:18:51.53\00:18:56.90 completely vanquished his arguments through His sacrifice. CHRIS: And this is powerful 00:18:57.00\00:19:01.20 imagery here, because what it's demonstrating to us - because you know, the Bible calls the 00:19:01.30\00:19:04.94 devil the accuser of the brethren - and you know, something I've talked about when 00:19:05.04\00:19:10.25 I talk about the sanctuary is, so often, we play this scene of judgement, that God is upon the 00:19:10.35\00:19:20.42 throne, doing all He can to keep us out of heaven. The sanctuary actually teaches us first that 00:19:20.52\00:19:28.46 it's actually Jesus Who is the Judge; second, that it's actually Jesus Who is our 00:19:28.56\00:19:34.70 Advocate, the One Who is on our behalf; and then third, Jesus is the One Who has paid the 00:19:34.80\00:19:41.21 penalty, paid the price. But what's fascinating is, the devil is even absent. So his 00:19:41.31\00:19:52.05 accusations actually don't even have a place in the sanctuary any longer. This is powerful, 00:19:52.15\00:20:02.93 powerful imagery, as Satan is absent from the sanctuary. The sanctuary continues to teach us 00:20:03.03\00:20:10.27 about this interaction of heaven and earth, and that God is not doing everything He can to keep 00:20:10.37\00:20:15.71 us out of heaven, but rather, God is doing everything - because the very foundation of 00:20:15.81\00:20:22.35 His throne, the sanctuary upon which where His throne sits, is fundamentally operating on the 00:20:22.45\00:20:27.92 principle of connecting heaven and earth. PASTOR KARL: Correct, yeah. CHRIS: So let's talk a 00:20:28.02\00:20:33.96 little bit more about that. We get the picture of the great controversy. We get a picture of 00:20:34.03\00:20:41.94 good versus evil. So let's be done talking about the evil one, and let's move to the presence 00:20:42.04\00:20:45.44 of God, because this is where the sanctuary really draws out some really powerful imagery and 00:20:45.54\00:20:52.45 some very powerful promises of hope for us. Talk to me about the presence of God in the 00:20:52.55\00:20:56.62 sanctuary. PASTOR KARL: Very good. Actually, Chris, I want to begin, if we can go back to 00:20:56.72\00:21:01.59 Exodus 3.Let's begin there, and we're going to connect Moses' experience with God at the 00:21:01.69\00:21:05.83 burning bush later with the sanctuary. But let's go there first. So Exodus 3, and we can 00:21:05.93\00:21:13.90 begin with verse 1, as we seek to talk about the presence of God, something else that the 00:21:14.00\00:21:18.54 sanctuary reveals. CHRIS: And the reason that the presence of God is so important, as we're 00:21:18.64\00:21:24.21 turning to Exodus 3, Pastor Karl, is, we want to experience the presence of God. And so when 00:21:24.31\00:21:28.08 we talked about the presence of God, we're not talking about some kind of mystical 00:21:28.18\00:21:34.36 experience; we're talking about a genuine, personal encounter with God. PASTOR KARL: 00:21:34.46\00:21:37.63 Absolutely. CHRIS: So let's talk about this. PASTOR KARL: Okay. PASTOR KARL: I want to stop just 00:22:21.74\00:22:24.97 there for a minute. It's important to note that when Moses first saw the burning 00:22:25.07\00:22:30.71 bush, he didn't automatically equate that with the presence of God. So he sees this 00:22:30.81\00:22:36.38 out-of-the-ordinary sight, something that doesn't happen all the time, and you know, that 00:22:36.48\00:22:41.66 just alerts me, Chris, that you and I have to be alert to when God is trying to make an 00:22:41.76\00:22:45.49 entrance into our lives. And sometimes we get so caught up in the things of the world, that we 00:22:45.59\00:22:50.20 don't see when He's trying to catch our attention. CHRIS: That's right. PASTOR KARL: And 00:22:50.30\00:22:53.70 so, Moses was alert here, and he said, "You know, this is an extraordinary sight. I need to 00:22:53.80\00:22:58.91 go check it out." What he didn't do was, hey, he sees the burning bush, all of a sudden, he starts 00:22:59.01\00:23:02.31 to take off his shoes, and pretends like he's on holy ground. He didn't do that. It 00:23:02.41\00:23:09.28 was only when God called to him out of the midst of the bush. It was only when he heard the voice 00:23:09.38\00:23:14.02 of God and the word of God that he automatically realized that he was in the presence of God at 00:23:14.12\00:23:19.49 that point. So the presence of God comes to us. It is revealed to us through His Word. And that 00:23:19.59\00:23:26.97 is the method that God uses in order to speak to us. And this foundation is very important. As 00:23:27.07\00:23:32.67 Moses and God continue to talk on, Moses is wondering, you know, God tells him to go rescue 00:23:32.77\00:23:38.48 the Israelites. Well, what's Your name, you know? Who am I going to tell them is sending 00:23:38.58\00:23:43.89 me? And God says in verse 14, PASTOR KARL: So, the presence of God is not to be equated with 00:24:07.21\00:24:12.11 the material creation, not with the bush itself, but with the words of God that were spoken to 00:24:12.21\00:24:17.89 Moses. That was the indicator that Moses was actually in His presence. That place isn't holy 00:24:17.99\00:24:23.09 right now; God's presence, He didn't choose. He doesn't choose to reveal Himself that way. He's 00:24:23.19\00:24:27.73 actually in the heavenly sanctuary at this time. So that's the name of God, that's 00:24:27.83\00:24:34.17 the presence of God. God wanted to meet the Israelites in a certain location. Now, God is 00:24:34.27\00:24:41.78 omnipresent, okay, a difficult concept to grasp, admittedly. CHRIS: And just to help 00:24:41.88\00:24:46.41 everybody, "omnipresent" means God can be everywhere at the same time. PASTOR KARL: Yeah, at 00:24:46.51\00:24:51.92 the same time. Not just everywhere, but everywhere at the same time. But, just because 00:24:52.02\00:24:56.73 God is omnipresent, doesn't mean that He reveals His presence. Let me give you just a quick 00:24:56.83\00:25:01.20 illustration of that. Like, take the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. God is omnipresent, but He 00:25:01.30\00:25:07.97 told them that He would not be at the forbidden fruit. He says, you know, "Don't go near that 00:25:08.07\00:25:16.54 tree." He was not going to be there. In light of the great controversy, God even allows in 00:25:16.64\00:25:22.18 the enemy in order to make His case. And so, as Eve ventured on that ground, it was the enemy 00:25:22.28\00:25:29.39 that occupied that space, and his presence began to speak to her. So God basically says that 00:25:29.49\00:25:34.93 He's not going to manifest Himself in every location, even though He's omnipresent. And He 00:25:35.03\00:25:40.00 told the children of Israel - this is in Deuteronomy 12:5 - that you are to meet Me in this 00:25:40.10\00:25:45.41 place. In Deuteronomy chapter 16, He said the same thing. In First Kings chapter 8, as 00:25:45.51\00:25:50.41 Solomon was dedicating the temple - just to mention a few texts there - He said that He 00:25:50.51\00:25:56.28 was going to place His Name there. First Kings 8:16: 00:25:56.38\00:25:58.89 PASTOR KARL: Verse 17, verse 18 verse 19, verse 20, verse 21, He says, "I'm putting My Name 00:26:11.57\00:26:15.77 there." That meant that He wasgoing to reveal Himself there, 'cause His name is 00:26:15.87\00:26:20.04 associated with His presence. And this is what made the sin of Jeroboam so great, is that God 00:26:20.14\00:26:24.88 was now confused with all of creation, so allegedly, the presence of God is now revealing 00:26:24.98\00:26:32.02 Himself everywhere. But that's the counterfeit. God said, "Yes, I'm omnipresent, but I'm going 00:26:32.12\00:26:37.09 to reveal Myself here. If you want to have a relationship with Me, you're going to meet Me 00:26:37.19\00:26:41.63 here," okay? CHRIS: And this becomes so important, because we see this, as we studied 00:26:41.73\00:26:46.40 Jeroboam, that God's not in Dan and Bethel; He's not in the golden calf; He's not in the 00:26:46.50\00:26:52.74 golden calf of the Exodus. Although God is omnipresent, He is not everywhere. What happens, 00:26:52.84\00:26:59.08 unfortunately, is. PASTOR KARL: God doesn't reveal Himself 00:26:59.18\00:27:04.09 everywhere. CHRIS: Unfortunately, what happens, is that people culturally condition 00:27:04.19\00:27:09.76 where they believe God will reveal Himself. And what is essential for us to understand - 00:27:09.86\00:27:17.90 and it's really unbelievable, we only have about a minute left - is that God doesn't reveal 00:27:18.00\00:27:24.77 Himself in the creation itself. PASTOR KARL: It's not synonymous with Himself, yes. CHRIS: He 00:27:24.87\00:27:29.91 reveals Himself through His Word. And we must never lose sight of that: the sanctuary 00:27:30.01\00:27:37.75 demonstrates that God resides in the sanctuary, revealing Himself through His Word. PASTOR KARL: 00:27:37.85\00:27:43.06 Correct. CHRIS: Pastor Karl, will you pray for us as we end today? PASTOR KARL: Let's pray. 00:27:43.16\00:27:47.00 Our Father in heaven, Lord, You want to have a relationship with us. And that happens through 00:27:47.10\00:27:52.93 Your Word. And we pray that we would study Your Word each and every day, that You would speak 00:27:53.03\00:27:58.37 to our minds and to our hearts. Thank You, Father, for giving us the sanctuary. Thank You for 00:27:58.47\00:28:04.08 giving us Your Words. May You bless us, lead us, and guide us, in Jesus' name, we pray, amen. 00:28:04.18\00:28:07.88 CHRIS: Amen. 00:28:07.98\00:28:09.45 CHRIS: I hope you've enjoyed this series of programs.
