TEASER: At age 14 he ran away from home and fought in the 00:00:03.83\00:00:06.76 French and Indian War. 00:00:06.76\00:00:09.03 At the outbreak of the Revolutionary War, he joined the 00:00:09.03\00:00:13.10 American army as a colonel and in 1775 shared a command with Ethan Allen in the capture 00:00:13.10\00:00:17.90 of Ticonderoga. 00:00:17.90\00:00:20.93 Later he led 1000 men into Canada where he fought in the 00:00:20.93\00:00:26.33 battle of Quebec. His courage in battle won him a promotion to 00:00:26.33\00:00:30.03 brigadier general. But something went wrong. 00:00:30.03\00:00:33.30 Thoughts of compromise ate away at his patriotic zeal. 00:00:33.30\00:00:36.90 Soon the unthinkable happened. 00:00:36.90\00:00:39.90 He offered his services to the British, and in 1780 devised a 00:00:39.90\00:00:44.96 plan to surrender West Point to British control. 00:00:44.96\00:00:49.30 Today, instead of being remembered as a national hero, 00:00:49.30\00:00:52.83 Benedict Arnold is synonymous with "traitor." 00:00:52.83\00:00:57.26 ANNOUNCER: It has stood the test of time. 00:01:11.83\00:01:14.26 God's book: the Bible, 00:01:15.06\00:01:17.56 still relevant in today's complex world. 00:01:18.73\00:01:22.06 It Is Written, 00:01:22.73\00:01:24.53 sharing the messages of hope around the world. 00:01:25.80\00:01:29.60 Let me invite you to turn with me in your Bible to the tenth 00:01:39.43\00:01:44.80 chapter of Matthew this morning for our study of the Word of 00:01:44.80\00:01:48.00 God. In our progressing through this marvelous, marvelous gospel 00:01:48.00\00:01:52.50 that opens the New Testament we have been seeing how Jesus trained His twelve to be sent 00:01:52.50\00:01:59.40 out as the representatives of the Kingdom. 00:01:59.40\00:02:03.90 And as we come to chapter 10 He is ready to send them on their 00:02:03.90\00:02:08.30 first mission, to give them some on-the-job experience. 00:02:08.30\00:02:12.83 We have been noting the names of the twelve and we've stopped to 00:02:12.83\00:02:17.86 take the time to get to know them as much as is possible in 00:02:17.86\00:02:22.96 the Word of God. We're looking today at the last name in the list in verse 4, the name Judas 00:02:22.96\00:02:30.30 Iscariot. 00:02:30.30\00:02:33.03 Let me read from Matthew 10:1 - 5a 00:02:33.03\00:02:35.06 Now we have met already the first eleven disciples. 00:03:07.26\00:03:11.16 We had set about to learn everything that we could learn 00:03:11.16\00:03:15.40 about them. Some of them have a lot of information, some of them 00:03:15.40\00:03:19.56 little or none. But we've tried to look at their personalities and their character and how 00:03:19.56\00:03:23.66 they fit into the scheme of things and the plan of our Lord 00:03:23.66\00:03:27.50 and why they were selected for such an incredibly marvelous 00:03:27.50\00:03:32.13 task. The one thing, I think, that we have concluded in general is that they were 00:03:32.13\00:03:36.63 basically unqualified. 00:03:36.63\00:03:38.50 They were basically common men just like we are. 00:03:38.50\00:03:41.60 Men whom God had to transform in order to make them into what He 00:03:41.60\00:03:46.26 wanted them to be. 00:03:46.26\00:03:48.73 And we saw how our Lord overcame their commonness and enabled 00:03:48.73\00:03:54.60 them to preach and to teach and to heal and to cast out demons 00:03:54.60\00:03:57.56 as the official representatives of the Kingdom. 00:03:57.56\00:04:01.06 And I might add that they were successful, oh, they were highly 00:04:01.06\00:04:05.30 successful. Under the energy of the Spirit of God they pulled off that which Christ had 00:04:05.30\00:04:10.10 asked them to do, they built His church. 00:04:10.10\00:04:13.40 They were a remarkable group. 00:04:13.40\00:04:16.00 But one of them stands out against the background of the 00:04:16.00\00:04:20.93 others. He is isolated. 00:04:20.93\00:04:22.33 He is lonely. 00:04:22.33\00:04:23.46 He is alone. 00:04:23.46\00:04:25.50 His name is Judas Iscariot. 00:04:25.50\00:04:28.60 He is a horrifying, colossal, misfit. 00:04:28.60\00:04:30.76 He is the epitome of disaster. 00:04:30.76\00:04:34.93 He is the vilest, wickedest man the Bible knows anything about 00:04:34.93\00:04:38.23 and he is our subject this morning. 00:04:38.23\00:04:41.00 He is listed last, you'll notice, in verse 4. 00:04:41.00\00:04:44.13 And he is always listed with a comment about his betrayal, 00:04:44.13\00:04:46.86 because that was his brand and will be for all time. 00:04:46.86\00:04:51.63 Let's examine what the Bible says about him. 00:04:51.63\00:04:54.30 First of all, his name, Judas, a common name. 00:04:54.30\00:04:58.00 Lebbaeus Thaddaeus in verse 3 is also called Judas. 00:04:58.00\00:05:02.90 It is simply a form of Judah, the land of God's people. 00:05:02.90\00:05:06.63 Some say the root of it means 'Jehovah leads' and others think 00:05:06.63\00:05:10.13 the root of it might refer to 'one who is the object of 00:05:10.13\00:05:15.00 praise'. But what a paradox either way. 00:05:15.00\00:05:18.36 If it means Jehovah leads there never was one who was more 00:05:18.36\00:05:22.90 obviously led by Satan than was Judas. 00:05:22.90\00:05:26.06 If it means one worth of praise there is never lived one more 00:05:26.06\00:05:31.46 unworthy of praise than Judas. 00:05:31.46\00:05:34.26 It says his name is not only Judas but Iscariot. 00:05:34.26\00:05:39.00 What does that mean? 00:05:39.00\00:05:41.06 Basically it comes from two terms ish meaning man and Kerioth meaning town. 00:05:41.06\00:05:44.63 He was a man of the town of Kerioth. 00:05:44.63\00:05:48.03 That is simply a geographical identification. 00:05:48.03\00:05:52.73 Why is it that Judas is identified geographically and the other eleven are 00:05:52.73\00:05:59.40 not? 00:05:59.40\00:06:01.40 It's important because he is the only non-Galilean. 00:06:01.40\00:06:05.06 He is the only Jew from the southern section. 00:06:05.06\00:06:08.36 He is the only Judean Jew. 00:06:08.36\00:06:10.43 All of the rest came from Galilee. 00:06:10.43\00:06:13.06 And this may indicate to us that from the very beginning Judas 00:06:13.06\00:06:16.93 was never really one of the boys. 00:06:16.93\00:06:19.60 Also, the southern Jews felt themselves greatly superior to 00:06:19.60\00:06:24.73 the rural Jews of the north and would have looked down on them and consequently there may 00:06:24.73\00:06:30.00 have been a certain amount of pride involved which deepened as 00:06:30.00\00:06:35.60 time went on. Author E.G. White in her book on the life of Jesus, "Desire of Ages" writes 00:06:35.60\00:06:40.00 the following (page 717) 00:06:40.00\00:06:41.60 Twenty-three miles south of Jerusalem, seven miles from Hebron was a little 00:06:59.20\00:07:03.30 group of tiny villages. 00:07:03.30\00:07:05.46 They were built near farms where the people cultivated the soil. 00:07:05.46\00:07:09.36 As the little villages congregated together and grew 00:07:09.36\00:07:13.90 they became one little town and that little town became known as 00:07:13.90\00:07:18.26 Kerioth. And in Joshua 15:25 it is mentioned. 00:07:18.26\00:07:21.23 And it was that little village that gave birth to this man. 00:07:21.23\00:07:25.30 Seven miles from Hebron a little child was born that was one day 00:07:25.30\00:07:30.66 to betray the Savior. 00:07:30.66\00:07:33.26 From his name we look at his call secondly. 00:07:33.26\00:07:39.80 And I hasten to add that the call of Judas is not recorded in 00:07:39.80\00:07:44.60 the Bible. We meet him the first time right here in this list and we don't know how he 00:07:44.60\00:07:48.76 got in the group. 00:07:48.76\00:07:51.13 We know he wanted to be involved but we don't know how it was 00:07:51.13\00:07:54.30 that he attached himself to Jesus. 00:07:54.30\00:07:56.50 Apparently he was attracted to Jesus, that's obvious. 00:07:56.50\00:07:58.83 He followed Him. 00:07:58.83\00:08:00.16 He stayed with Him. 00:08:00.16\00:08:02.36 And he stayed with Him longer than a lot of the other false 00:08:02.36\00:08:05.63 disciples who bailed out much earlier than this. 00:08:05.63\00:08:09.10 In fact, in John 6, it says there were many disciples who 00:08:09.10\00:08:14.16 followed Jesus but when He demanded total commitment out of 00:08:14.16\00:08:17.90 them it says, But the twelve, it says, remained. 00:08:22.40\00:08:26.46 So, even when Jesus called for all-out commitment, even when He 00:08:26.46\00:08:30.63 made total demand on them and many of them left, Judas stuck 00:08:30.63\00:08:35.23 it out. He stayed. 00:08:35.23\00:08:37.30 Now one thing is certain, Jesus knew Judas would betray Him. 00:08:37.30\00:08:42.56 The Old Testament predicted that one of His own would betray Him. 00:08:42.56\00:08:45.50 Psalm 41:9 00:08:45.50\00:08:48.33 If you look into the prophecy of Zechariah chapter 11 it even 00:08:58.16\00:09:01.86 gets more specific. 00:09:01.86\00:09:06.53 Zechariah 11:12 00:09:06.53\00:09:07.56 Betrayed by His own friend for thirty pieces of silver. 00:09:28.00\00:09:32.90 Now outwardly Judas didn't appear to have defective 00:09:32.90\00:09:36.60 character. I'm sure of that. 00:09:36.60\00:09:39.66 Three years he was with the disciples and Jesus said in the 00:09:39.66\00:09:43.46 upper room in John 13, He said: "One of you will betray Me." 00:09:43.46\00:09:46.80 And all the Apostles responded. 00:09:46.80\00:09:48.83 Do you remember how they responded? 00:09:48.83\00:09:50.30 Did they say - Is it Judas? 00:09:50.30\00:09:52.90 No, everyone of them said - Is it I? 00:09:52.90\00:09:55.53 Why? 00:09:55.53\00:09:57.93 They had no more reason to suspect Judas then they had 00:09:57.93\00:10:03.16 reason to suspect themselves. 00:10:03.16\00:10:05.46 They knew better about themselves and they assumed 00:10:05.46\00:10:08.96 better about Judas, he was a fantastic hypocrite. 00:10:08.96\00:10:14.00 He was so good at it they elected him treasurer of the 00:10:14.00\00:10:17.26 group. They gave him the money. 00:10:17.26\00:10:18.73 That's how much they trusted him. 00:10:18.73\00:10:21.20 You say - Well, didn't they know he must have had a rotten, 00:10:21.20\00:10:28.53 sinful background if he was such a rotten wretched vile man that he would do this to 00:10:28.53\00:10:32.36 Christ, he must have had a track record that was horrifying? 00:10:32.36\00:10:36.26 Yeah, but it wasn't at the worst any worse than any other ones. 00:10:36.26\00:10:42.10 It's hard to be much worse than Matthew who was an extortioner 00:10:42.10\00:10:45.06 and a thief and took bribes. 00:10:45.06\00:10:47.40 It would be hard to be much worse than Simon the Zealot who 00:10:47.40\00:10:49.93 was an assassin. 00:10:49.93\00:10:52.20 So you know, they were all kind of a crummy bunch if you look at 00:10:52.20\00:10:56.93 it that way. It's interesting to me that he never has a word to say until he complains 00:10:56.93\00:11:00.70 about the waste of money in Bethany. 00:11:00.70\00:11:03.03 He had the same potential as any of the others. 00:11:03.03\00:11:06.73 He could have been a John or a Peter or whatever. 00:11:06.73\00:11:10.40 I mean, Christ could have transformed him if his heart had 00:11:10.40\00:11:14.70 been willing. He was the same raw material, he was no more unqualified than anybody 00:11:14.70\00:11:18.30 else. 00:11:18.30\00:11:20.60 But the same sun that melts the wax, hardens the clay and while 00:11:20.60\00:11:24.93 the other men were being melted and molded he was being 00:11:24.93\00:11:29.96 hardened. Now I would hasten to add to you that he is no different than the other 00:11:29.96\00:11:34.10 twelve. 00:11:34.10\00:11:35.70 They all believed that the Messiah had come. 00:11:35.70\00:11:38.63 They all believed the Messiah would bring an earthly Kingdom. 00:11:38.63\00:11:42.63 They all believed the Messiah would overthrow Rome, He would 00:11:42.63\00:11:48.93 establish the Kingdom and they would enter into the glory of 00:11:48.93\00:11:52.56 the Kingdom. They all believed that they had met the lion of the tribe of Judah. 00:11:52.56\00:11:56.50 But the Lord began to tell them that before He was the lion of 00:11:56.50\00:12:01.93 the tribe of Judah, He had to be the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 00:12:01.93\00:12:07.13 And He talked about dying. 00:12:07.13\00:12:09.16 And He talked about giving His life. 00:12:09.16\00:12:12.30 And He talked about being lifted up. 00:12:12.30\00:12:15.86 And whenever He talked about that you could just hear Judas 00:12:15.86\00:12:19.13 saying - What is this? 00:12:19.13\00:12:21.30 You see, the other disciples started where he started. 00:12:21.30\00:12:25.90 But the Lord lifted them to a spiritual plain, Judas never got 00:12:25.90\00:12:31.13 there. The Lord elevated them to a spiritual Kingdom to see 00:12:31.13\00:12:36.63 things in a divine dimension, but Judas never got off the crass materialistic earthly 00:12:36.63\00:12:42.13 level, he was the epitome of a crass materialist. 00:12:42.13\00:12:46.83 The other disciples had worldliness - yes, and greed and 00:12:46.83\00:12:50.70 selfishness, but it was overcome by the love of Christ. 00:12:50.70\00:12:54.33 And they began to love Him and in their love for Him He lifted 00:12:54.33\00:12:58.10 them to another level. 00:12:58.10\00:12:59.73 Well, it never happened in Judas' life. 00:12:59.73\00:13:02.63 Greed and selfishness and materialisú and worldliness 00:13:02.63\00:13:05.50 conquered love. 00:13:05.50\00:13:07.10 And the others were lifted and he stayed. 00:13:07.10\00:13:10.80 The others became uncorrupted and he became more corrupted, 00:13:10.80\00:13:12.90 more greedy. 00:13:12.90\00:13:15.70 He had at the root of his character a terrible, terrible 00:13:15.70\00:13:19.03 passion and he never was willing to relinquish it. 00:13:19.03\00:13:25.23 In John chapter 12, we're coming to the final events, moving to 00:13:25.23\00:13:30.46 the cross, Judas is utterly and totally disillusioned. 00:13:30.46\00:13:35.76 The anticipation of anything good coming had totally removed 00:13:35.76\00:13:38.66 itself from him. 00:13:38.66\00:13:41.50 There was nothing good left and he no longer could contain his 00:13:41.50\00:13:44.60 hypocrisy, he could no longer mask the vile, filthy, wretched 00:13:44.60\00:13:50.40 soul that was within him and so in Bethany there was an incident 00:13:50.40\00:13:53.63 that unmasked him. 00:13:53.63\00:13:55.36 I don't think the disciples really picked up on it. 00:13:55.36\00:13:58.06 John 12:3 00:13:58.06\00:14:00.96 She was just pouring out love, just pouring out affection. 00:14:15.90\00:14:20.30 She gave this very costly thing to Jesus and it's something that 00:14:20.30\00:14:24.40 was once used and then forever gone. 00:14:24.40\00:14:27.63 John 12: 4 - 5 00:14:27.63\00:14:29.63 This is the first time the man every speaks. 00:14:45.03\00:14:48.23 He hated Jesus so deeply now that he couldn't stand any homage paid to Him. 00:14:48.23\00:14:52.86 The hate had taken over. 00:14:52.86\00:14:56.10 What started as attraction and love and fascination had turned 00:14:56.10\00:15:00.93 to hate. Because Jesus didn't do what he expected. 00:15:00.93\00:15:04.76 By the way, it may not have been worth quite three hundred, that 00:15:04.76\00:15:09.06 may have been his exaggeration because of the greed of his heart and in order to 00:15:09.06\00:15:12.76 overstate his case for affect. 00:15:12.76\00:15:15.30 If it was it was three hundred denarii it would be nearly a 00:15:15.30\00:15:19.40 year's wages worth of ointment. 00:15:19.40\00:15:22.56 John 12:6 00:15:22.56\00:15:23.83 Can you imagine that kind of a guy? 00:15:37.90\00:15:41.16 Here's a poor band of people going around doing good and he 00:15:41.16\00:15:44.16 was stealing out of their resources. 00:15:44.16\00:15:46.83 He had absolutely no love for them. 00:15:46.83\00:15:50.16 He was a materialist and he was in life for one thing - what he 00:15:50.16\00:15:54.63 could get out of it and he got it any way he could. 00:15:54.63\00:15:57.93 And if he wasn't going to get the whole Kingdom, he was going 00:15:57.93\00:16:01.46 to get a few bucks getting out. 00:16:01.46\00:16:03.16 That's the basic motive of Judas. 00:16:03.16\00:16:07.53 And some people have tried to ascribe to him a good motive, 00:16:07.53\00:16:11.80 you cannot ascribe to Judas a good motive anytime in anyway 00:16:11.80\00:16:20.13 for two reasons. One, Jesus said - One of you is a devil; Two, before he betrayed Him 00:16:20.13\00:16:23.33 Jesus said, "And Satan entered into him." 00:16:23.33\00:16:26.50 There was nothing good about him. 00:16:26.50\00:16:28.10 John 18, the next time we see Judas. 00:16:28.10\00:16:30.96 A few nights later Jesus is in the garden, verse 2: 00:16:30.96\00:16:33.06 Judas not only profaned the Passover with blood money, he 00:16:41.93\00:16:45.93 profaned the private place of devotion for our dear Lord. 00:16:45.93\00:16:49.46 He profaned friendship. 00:16:49.46\00:16:51.00 He knew the place. 00:16:51.00\00:16:52.90 Verses 3 & 4 00:16:52.90\00:16:54.13 You see, Jesus knew that Judas was going to come in and he was 00:17:13.63\00:17:18.66 going to come up to Jesus and he was going to kiss Him. 00:17:18.66\00:17:22.66 Judas would kiss Him to put Him at ease so He wouldn't think 00:17:22.66\00:17:25.26 anything was up. 00:17:25.26\00:17:26.56 Jesus knew all that. 00:17:26.56\00:17:27.70 So you know what He did? 00:17:27.70\00:17:29.30 He removed the necessity for the kiss. 00:17:29.30\00:17:31.70 He walked out and said - "Whom seek ye? 00:17:31.70\00:17:34.30 " And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. 00:17:34.30\00:17:37.56 And He said, "I am He. 00:17:37.56\00:17:39.96 " Thus eliminating the need for a kiss. 00:17:39.96\00:17:42.96 But just to show you the pit of blackness in the heart of Judas, 00:17:42.96\00:17:46.86 he kissed Him anyway. 00:17:46.86\00:17:49.83 The diabolical heart forced him into that unnecessary kiss even 00:17:49.83\00:17:54.70 though it was no longer a kiss to point Him out, it was a kiss 00:17:54.70\00:17:59.16 to fake his innocence a supreme act of hypocrisy. 00:17:59.16\00:18:04.03 Some lessons learned from the life of Judas? 00:18:04.03\00:18:07.50 Number one, Judas is the world's greatest example of lost 00:18:07.50\00:18:12.73 opportunity. No man ever, ever, ever is a greater tragedy than 00:18:12.73\00:18:17.23 that man. Twelve men in human history have the privilege of walking three years in 00:18:17.23\00:18:22.16 the presence of the living God incarnate and he missed it. 00:18:22.16\00:18:25.30 The other eleven got it. 00:18:25.30\00:18:26.96 Incredible. 00:18:26.96\00:18:30.26 And there are people who will sit in the presence of Christians and thus in 00:18:30.26\00:18:34.56 the presence of Christ, there are fathers in families and 00:18:34.56\00:18:40.03 mothers in families and people in.... in churches who come and go and live their life - 00:18:40.03\00:18:44.13 around them are all these people in whom dwells the living Christ 00:18:44.13\00:18:48.03 and they lose that opportunity and go into eternity without 00:18:48.03\00:18:51.90 Him. But Judas is the worst. 00:18:51.90\00:18:55.16 And those who continue to miss the opportunity are in the line 00:18:55.16\00:19:00.20 of Judas. He was content to associate - nothing more. 00:19:00.20\00:19:03.50 Secondly, he is the world's greatest example of wasted 00:19:03.50\00:19:09.93 privilege. He wanted money, he wanted riches, he wanted possessions, he could have 00:19:09.93\00:19:12.73 possessed the universe forever but he sold it for ten or twenty 00:19:12.73\00:19:18.36 dollars. God offers you and every soul the riches of 00:19:18.36\00:19:22.53 eternity. What kind of a stupid bargain are you making? 00:19:22.53\00:19:26.50 By saying no to that to say yes to some pittance that will burn 00:19:26.50\00:19:30.96 in the end of this earth. 00:19:30.96\00:19:35.13 Thirdly, Judas is the world's greatest illustration of the 00:19:35.13\00:19:39.20 love of money as the root of evil. 00:19:39.20\00:19:43.16 He loved money so much that he actually sold the living God. 00:19:43.16\00:19:46.93 That's how far greed can take a man. 00:19:46.93\00:19:50.13 He is a monument to the destructiveness and the damnation of greed. 00:19:50.13\00:19:55.46 Fourthly, and this is turning the corner, I believe Judas is 00:19:55.46\00:20:02.86 the greatest lesson in the history of the world of the 00:20:02.86\00:20:05.20 forbearing patient love of God. 00:20:05.20\00:20:09.00 Only God could have known what He knew and tolerated that man's 00:20:09.00\00:20:13.06 presence that long. 00:20:13.06\00:20:16.16 That is the patient forbearance of God. 00:20:16.16\00:20:19.20 And then to have reached out in affection to him and offer him 00:20:19.20\00:20:22.70 the sop and even after the kiss said to him -Friend. 00:20:22.70\00:20:25.70 Incredible insight into the patience of God. 00:20:25.70\00:20:30.46 The Bible tells us that Christ was perfected through suffering, 00:20:30.46\00:20:36.43 that He became a sympathetic high priest. 00:20:36.43\00:20:39.43 Many men are betrayed, many men are wounded in the house of 00:20:39.43\00:20:43.90 their friends. 00:20:43.90\00:20:46.16 People cut people up and all of us have known the hurt and the 00:20:46.16\00:20:49.40 pain of that kind of thing. 00:20:49.40\00:20:52.06 And when we go to the Lord Jesus and we say -You know, I've had 00:20:52.06\00:20:56.30 this happen in my life, do You understand? 00:20:56.30\00:20:58.66 You can know for certain He understands. 00:20:58.66\00:21:03.30 One day i saw, a potter and some clay, 00:21:07.30\00:21:13.23 he molded it,fashioned it, and caused it to obey, 00:21:15.26\00:21:22.00 and soon he had, a vessel he could use, 00:21:23.06\00:21:30.13 it held his food it brought him life, no water he would loose, 00:21:31.73\00:21:38.26 but then i heard the vessel slipped and fell, 00:21:39.56\00:21:46.20 it's broken know, no one know's how to put it back again, 00:21:47.63\00:21:54.20 oh my life, was like, that vessel made of clay, 00:21:55.56\00:22:02.26 it fell apart and my broken heart knew i'd always go 00:22:03.96\00:22:10.36 astray... But Jesus made my vessel over, 00:22:11.40\00:22:18.03 Lord He made this vessel over, 00:22:19.03\00:22:25.70 Jesus made my vessel over 00:22:26.60\00:22:33.96 He made this vessel over again.... 00:22:35.10\00:22:42.26 And now i know, his spirit lives in me 00:22:44.60\00:22:49.80 we're closer now i don't know how, 00:22:50.93\00:22:54.46 He saw what i could be, 00:22:55.46\00:22:58.06 if you've seen my life in pieces on the floor, 00:22:59.40\00:23:05.86 I wept inside no place to hide, 00:23:06.90\00:23:11.23 'till Jesus said ther's more... 00:23:12.26\00:23:14.93 And He made my vessel over, 00:23:15.86\00:23:22.06 Lord you made this vessel over, 00:23:23.10\00:23:29.50 Lord you made my vessel over 00:23:30.50\00:23:37.73 You made this vessel over again.... 00:23:38.86\00:23:45.83 Jesus made my vessel over, 00:23:46.80\00:23:53.56 Lord He made this vessel over, 00:23:54.60\00:24:01.60 Jesus made my vessel over 00:24:02.56\00:24:09.90 Lord you made this vessel over again. 00:24:11.10\00:24:22.16 >>Bill: Let us pray. 00:24:23.63\00:24:25.83 Father we thank for this time together today. 00:24:25.83\00:24:27.40 We have studied a sobering message today and I pray that if 00:24:27.40\00:24:33.20 anyone today has not accepted Jesus fully that they will open up their heart and receive 00:24:33.20\00:24:38.93 Christ, ask His forgiveness right now and invite Him to be 00:24:38.93\00:24:43.20 their Lord and Savior. 00:24:43.20\00:24:45.76 Bless each and every viewer I pray in Jesus' name, Amen. 00:24:45.76\00:24:51.86 >>Allen: What kind of people can God use? 00:25:31.40\00:25:33.60 Any kind! 00:25:33.60\00:25:35.70 All we have to do is make ourselves available. 00:25:35.70\00:25:38.50 That means there is hope for you and me. 00:25:38.50\00:25:42.56 Pastor Bill has written a book "All the King's men", it includes all of the 00:25:42.56\00:25:47.43 messages in this series, we would like to send it to you, 00:25:47.43\00:25:50.96 here is the information you need to get your free copy. 00:25:50.96\00:25:53.53 >>Bill: Well we have come to the end of another It Is Written 00:26:53.40\00:26:56.60 program, I want to thank you for taking this half hour to join 00:26:56.60\00:26:59.33 us.
