>>Bill: When Julius Caesar landed on the shores of Britain 00:00:03.46\00:00:06.73 with his Roman legions, he took a bold and decisive step to ensure the success of his 00:00:06.73\00:00:10.36 military venture. 00:00:10.36\00:00:13.23 Ordering his men to march to the edge of the Cliffs of Dover, he 00:00:13.23\00:00:17.03 commanded them to look down at the water below. 00:00:17.03\00:00:20.30 To their amazement, they saw every ship in which they had 00:00:20.30\00:00:24.53 crossed the channel engulfed in flames. 00:00:24.53\00:00:28.23 Caesar had deliberately cut off any possibility of retreat. 00:00:28.23\00:00:33.16 Now that his soldiers were unable to return to the continent, there was 00:00:33.16\00:00:37.56 nothing left for them to do but to advance and conquer! 00:00:37.56\00:00:42.50 And that is exactly what they did. 00:00:42.50\00:00:49.86 ANNOUNCER: It has stood the test of time. 00:01:03.50\00:01:04.50 God's book: the Bible, 00:01:05.26\00:01:07.90 still relevant in today's complex world. 00:01:09.00\00:01:12.30 It Is Written, 00:01:12.93\00:01:15.10 sharing the messages of hope around the world. 00:01:16.30\00:01:19.16 We've been looking at these individuals whom our Lord chose 00:01:30.03\00:01:33.40 and sent to preach the kingdom, to heal, to cast out demons. 00:01:33.40\00:01:37.70 We've found, I think that it's fascinating to note that in 00:01:37.70\00:01:44.86 spite of what is traditionally believed about them they were very common men, very much like 00:01:44.86\00:01:47.43 we are. 00:01:47.43\00:01:49.56 Now in this series we're examining men who were willing 00:01:49.56\00:01:54.56 to pay everything. They were willing to go to the ultimate sacrifice, they were willing to 00:01:54.56\00:01:58.96 turn their back on their profession, their lifestyle, 00:01:58.96\00:02:02.66 their homes, their own choices in life to follow Jesus Christ. 00:02:02.66\00:02:07.66 These twelve gave everything. 00:02:07.66\00:02:10.46 They walked away from their nets, their tax tables, their 00:02:10.46\00:02:14.16 political involvements, their enterprises totally committed to 00:02:14.16\00:02:18.06 following Jesus Christ wherever He led them. 00:02:18.06\00:02:20.96 And may I suggest to you that they were a few among many who 00:02:20.96\00:02:28.00 were not so willing. 00:02:28.00\00:02:30.26 Look with me for a moment at John chapter 6, and I want to 00:02:30.26\00:02:36.90 give you a contrast out of which the message today will flow with 00:02:36.90\00:02:41.53 deeper meaning. Now Jesus had many who followed Him, in fact unnumbered multitudes 00:02:43.70\00:02:47.20 followed Him. 00:02:47.20\00:02:50.13 They attracted by His personal magnetism, they were attracted 00:02:50.13\00:02:53.53 by the power of what He said. 00:02:53.53\00:02:55.93 They were attracted by His ability to do miracles and signs 00:02:55.93\00:03:01.16 and wonders. They were fascinated by Him, and by the things He said and did. 00:03:01.16\00:03:04.40 And so wherever you see Jesus you see this mass of people 00:03:04.40\00:03:10.50 following. Now all of these people in one sense or another could be classified as 00:03:10.50\00:03:14.80 disciples, for the word in the Greek simply means a learner. 00:03:14.80\00:03:20.76 They were there taking it in, learning about Him. 00:03:20.76\00:03:24.46 The word doesn't really say anything about their commitment. 00:03:24.46\00:03:29.40 That's why chapter 10 of Matthew starts out with twelve disciples 00:03:29.40\00:03:32.20 and then a verse later it says apostles. 00:03:32.20\00:03:36.53 First they were learners then they were sent. 00:03:36.53\00:03:40.83 For illustration sake look at John 6:26. 00:03:40.83\00:03:46.63 It is the morning after. 00:03:46.63\00:03:49.43 The morning after Jesus had fed the five thousand men plus women 00:03:49.43\00:03:52.66 plus children. 00:03:52.66\00:03:54.66 As morning breaks He sees the same crowd back again, I mean 00:03:54.66\00:03:58.60 why not? They got a free dinner, why not go for a free breakfast? 00:03:58.60\00:04:00.16 And so they're all back, and Jesus says to them in verse 26, 00:04:00.16\00:04:04.26 In other words He says to them, your interest in Me is because 00:04:20.40\00:04:22.86 you ate and got filled up. 00:04:22.86\00:04:24.90 In other words you are living on a totally physical level, and 00:04:24.90\00:04:28.56 your attraction to Me has to do with free food and physical 00:04:28.56\00:04:31.93 healing. Verse 27, 00:04:31.93\00:04:33.40 You need to be more concerned with eternity than you are with 00:04:45.06\00:04:49.26 time, with heaven than you are with earth. 00:04:49.26\00:04:52.03 They were attracted to Him because of what they could see that applied to their 00:04:52.03\00:04:56.86 physical living, not really thinking about the spiritual at 00:04:56.86\00:05:00.33 all. We drop down to verses 53 and 54 00:05:01.93\00:05:04.60 He is simply saying you have to take Me all in as if you were 00:05:21.36\00:05:28.33 consuming Me. Everything I am, everything I say, everything I 00:05:28.33\00:05:34.70 do. They wanted free food and miracles but they weren't interested in really 00:05:34.70\00:05:39.30 taking Jesus Christ for all that He was. 00:05:39.30\00:05:41.70 Look at verse 60, 00:05:41.70\00:05:43.80 Jesus is saying, I alone am able to give you life, and you have 00:05:51.70\00:05:55.83 to take all of Me to have that life. 00:05:55.83\00:05:58.16 And they're saying, we can't handle that, we cannot accept 00:05:58.16\00:06:02.36 that. They didn't like what He said, and they did understand 00:06:02.36\00:06:07.90 it. And as a result of that, Jesus said in verse 61 "Does 00:06:07.90\00:06:13.83 this offend you? What is He saying? 00:06:13.83\00:06:16.76 He's saying, when I fed you it was okay, and when I healed you 00:06:16.76\00:06:20.33 it was okay, we had something going. 00:06:20.33\00:06:22.36 But when I said you take all of Me or none, did that kill off 00:06:22.36\00:06:27.16 our relationship? 00:06:27.16\00:06:28.73 And indeed it did, go down to verse 66, 00:06:28.73\00:06:30.96 Why? 00:06:39.96\00:06:42.00 Too much, too much was expected, too much was required. 00:06:42.00\00:06:44.70 They weren't interested in total commitment. 00:06:44.70\00:06:47.50 They bailed out. 00:06:47.50\00:06:49.30 Free food, that's great, healing, super, commitment, not 00:06:49.30\00:06:52.66 interested. 00:06:52.66\00:06:54.33 Verse 67 00:06:54.33\00:06:55.70 After everybody leaves, guess who's still there? 00:07:03.56\00:07:06.63 Twelve guys. 00:07:06.63\00:07:09.86 What I'm trying to show you is these are not just sort of 00:07:09.86\00:07:16.10 tagalongs, these twelve are the ones who counted the cost, stuck it out, paid the price when 00:07:16.10\00:07:20.26 the rest bailed out. 00:07:20.26\00:07:24.10 These have made the commitment and paid the price. 00:07:24.10\00:07:26.23 Why do I say that? 00:07:26.23\00:07:28.33 Because I'm about to introduce to you three men that we don't 00:07:28.33\00:07:30.80 know anything about. 00:07:30.80\00:07:33.00 And at least if we don't know anything else we ought to know 00:07:33.00\00:07:36.43 that they made the commitment, right? 00:07:36.43\00:07:39.43 Because when you take obscure names, and we're going to be 00:07:39.43\00:07:43.50 looking today at James, the son of Alphaeus, Lebbaeus, surnamed 00:07:43.50\00:07:46.63 Thaddeaus, and Simon, the Zealot. 00:07:46.63\00:07:49.33 At least if we don't know anything about them the tendency 00:07:49.33\00:07:53.86 is to sort of figure them as second class sort of out of the way stragglers, when the 00:07:53.86\00:07:57.90 fact is they had made the same commitment that Peter and everybody else made, 00:07:57.90\00:08:05.46 they crossed the line in utter, total obedience to Christ. 00:08:05.46\00:08:10.20 Now we've been asking a question, and the question we've been asking is what 00:08:10.20\00:08:17.06 kind of people does God use in His special service? 00:08:17.06\00:08:19.63 When the Lord went out to pick people what kind did He pick? 00:08:19.63\00:08:23.80 And we've found some interesting answers, haven't we? 00:08:23.80\00:08:25.76 He picked all kinds, all kinds of people. 00:08:25.76\00:08:28.43 I mean we have seen that the Lord can basically take any kind 00:08:28.43\00:08:33.60 of raw material at all, and use it for the advance of His glorious eternal kingdom. 00:08:33.60\00:08:38.66 Jesus Christ can take a worthless, sinful life, wash it 00:08:38.66\00:08:45.43 in the blood, put His Spirit in it and make it a blessing, and that's called sanctification, 00:08:45.43\00:08:51.26 and that's what the Lord is in the business of doing, taking rough, raw material 00:08:51.26\00:08:54.80 and using it. 00:08:54.80\00:08:57.00 As we have been looking at the apostles we have been amazed I 00:08:57.00\00:09:01.23 think, at their lack of qualification. 00:09:01.23\00:09:03.50 In fact there is not of executive search organization in 00:09:03.50\00:09:07.83 the country who would have picked up any one of these guys. 00:09:07.83\00:09:11.03 They just didn't cut it, by the world's standards. 00:09:11.03\00:09:14.76 I mean, at least with James and Peter, Andrew and John, you have 00:09:14.76\00:09:17.73 some strong leaders there. 00:09:17.73\00:09:19.93 Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew, some good men here, but 00:09:19.93\00:09:24.36 James, the son of Alphaeus, Lebbaeus, and Simon the Zealot, 00:09:24.36\00:09:28.40 whoever heard of them? 00:09:28.40\00:09:31.10 Do you want to know the Bible doesn't say anything about them? 00:09:31.10\00:09:34.60 Some of you are saying, does that mean this is the end of 00:09:34.60\00:09:36.03 today's broadcast? No. 00:09:36.03\00:09:38.66 Because even though the Bible doesn't say anything about them 00:09:38.66\00:09:41.73 I would like to say something about them. 00:09:41.73\00:09:43.73 First, James, the son of Alphaeus. 00:09:43.73\00:09:49.00 He would never make Who's Who. 00:09:49.00\00:09:51.63 He would never be a guest on a TV talk show. 00:09:51.63\00:09:54.80 He would never be asked to write a preface for a book or to pray 00:09:54.80\00:09:57.16 at a convention. 00:09:57.16\00:09:58.66 James, the son of Alphaeus, who is that? 00:09:58.66\00:10:02.86 Do you know what the Bible says about him? 00:10:02.86\00:10:05.30 Absolutely nothing. 00:10:05.30\00:10:07.43 That's right, nothing. 00:10:07.43\00:10:09.43 Just his name. 00:10:09.43\00:10:12.03 And he had a famous name, I guess he probably suffered 00:10:12.03\00:10:16.76 because there was James, the son of Zebedee who was a ramrod of a 00:10:16.76\00:10:22.13 guy. A son of thunder, the Bible calls him. 00:10:22.13\00:10:26.10 And then there was James, the brother of our Lord, and then 00:10:26.10\00:10:30.93 there was James, the son of Alphaeus. 00:10:30.93\00:10:33.33 Never wrote anything, never said anything, never asked anything, 00:10:33.33\00:10:38.76 never did anything recorded in the Bible. 00:10:38.76\00:10:41.30 In fact in Mark 15:40 he is called; James the "mickros" 00:10:41.30\00:10:50.93 little James, who was big James? 00:10:50.93\00:10:54.50 James the "son of thunder", and he was "little James". 00:10:54.50\00:10:58.73 The word mikros basically means small in stature, it could indicate that he was 00:10:58.73\00:11:03.26 little. 00:11:03.26\00:11:05.50 It also can mean young in age, it could mean that he was little 00:11:05.50\00:11:09.20 and young. 9 00:11:09.20\00:11:11.03 So he was little and young and not very influential. 00:11:11.03\00:11:15.00 I kind of think he probably was all three of those things, and 00:11:15.00\00:11:22.33 that's why they sort of gave him that nickname, little James. 00:11:22.33\00:11:27.46 So it may well be that he was just a small, little, young 00:11:27.46\00:11:33.63 fella who wasn't a particularly powerful personality. 00:11:33.63\00:11:37.56 Because God does not depend on that. 00:11:37.56\00:11:42.93 James, the son of Alphaeus will sit on a throne reigning over 00:11:42.93\00:11:45.80 one of the tribes of Israel, and what do you know about him? 00:11:45.80\00:11:48.13 You don't know anything about him. 00:11:48.13\00:11:50.50 Well, what's the point? 00:11:50.50\00:11:52.43 God is the power, right? 00:11:52.43\00:11:54.43 Not James. 00:11:54.43\00:11:55.96 The Bible doesn't say a thing about him. 00:11:55.96\00:11:58.63 His work, his personality, nothing, his mark is obscurity 00:11:58.63\00:12:03.26 and I think it's kind of neat that the Lord put one guy in here, who is utterly obscure. 00:12:03.26\00:12:06.20 He's the most obscure of all of them. 00:12:06.20\00:12:10.56 He didn't ask any questions, he didn't say anything, we don't 00:12:10.56\00:12:13.33 know anything about him. 00:12:13.33\00:12:15.66 Oh, there is one faint tradition about him. 00:12:15.66\00:12:19.46 The early church fathers say he preached in Persia. 00:12:19.46\00:12:24.96 Persia is ancient Iran, and that he took the Gospel of Jesus 00:12:24.96\00:12:29.36 Christ to that land, and they refused to hear him preach and they crucified him. 00:12:29.36\00:12:33.90 The Lord uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. 00:12:38.33\00:12:41.56 Silent unknown soldiers. 00:12:41.56\00:12:45.60 In Hebrews 11:32 - 38 we read, 00:12:45.60\00:12:52.20 May I speak to you from my heart for just a minute? 00:13:55.10\00:13:58.23 The apostles demonstrate to us that it is never really the 00:13:58.23\00:14:03.93 worker who is the issue in the kingdom work, that is what Paul meant when he said, So 00:14:03.93\00:14:07.86 what is Apollos and what is Paul? 00:14:07.86\00:14:10.26 "It is God that gives the increase. 00:14:10.26\00:14:11.43 " 00:14:11.43\00:14:12.36 The human instrument is immaterial to God. 00:14:14.50\00:14:16.10 He can use Balaam's ass if He has to. 00:14:16.10\00:14:19.36 He can make the rocks cry out if He has to. 00:14:19.36\00:14:21.73 The, the human instrument is not the issue. 00:14:21.73\00:14:26.30 You don't have to be way up here intellectually or - in the 00:14:26.30\00:14:29.66 gifted category, that is not the issue. 00:14:29.66\00:14:31.56 The Bible never deals with that. 00:14:31.56\00:14:34.90 The focus is always on Jesus. 00:14:34.90\00:14:38.96 What about the second one? 00:14:41.83\00:14:44.76 Verse 3, "Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus. 00:14:44.76\00:14:47.53 " And if you look in Luke 6:16 and Acts 1:13, you don't have to 00:14:47.53\00:14:55.73 look it up, you'll find he had a third name, Judas, son of James. 00:14:55.73\00:15:00.16 And he's one place called Judas, not Iscariot. 00:15:00.16\00:15:05.96 Judas also was a common name, it means Jehovah leads, and many 00:15:05.96\00:15:11.10 people in that time named their son, Jehovah leads, God leads. 00:15:11.10\00:15:15.50 This is Judas, that's probably his given name, and then he 00:15:15.50\00:15:20.60 probably received the names Lebbaeus and Thaddaeus as people 00:15:20.60\00:15:26.93 add names, almost like nicknames. 00:15:26.93\00:15:27.60 He did ask one very important question, and it's the only time 00:15:29.83\00:15:32.36 we meet him in the Scripture. 00:15:32.36\00:15:34.33 John 14, look with me quickly and we'll just look at this 00:15:34.33\00:15:40.13 rather briefly. 00:15:40.13\00:15:42.43 Jesus speaking, the night before His trial, and He says in verse 00:15:42.43\00:15:46.36 21 (John 14:21) 00:15:46.36\00:15:48.73 "Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who 00:16:02.56\00:16:06.16 loves me. These words of Jesus trigger something in his head 00:16:08.20\00:16:10.06 and he asks the following questions, verse 22 00:16:10.06\00:16:11.60 '" It's a good question. 00:16:18.80\00:16:20.46 Why won't everybody see You? 00:16:20.46\00:16:23.00 I mean if it's the time for the kingdom let's get it on, and you 00:16:23.00\00:16:25.96 might see a little of that courage that he perhaps was 00:16:25.96\00:16:28.90 known for. Let's go for it Lord! 00:16:28.90\00:16:30.76 The whole world needs to know. 00:16:30.76\00:16:32.96 Why would You just want to show us? 00:16:32.96\00:16:36.03 That was an insightful question, this guy really thought through. 00:16:36.03\00:16:41.86 He reects a typical Jewish view of the kingdom, that it was an 00:16:41.86\00:16:46.50 earthly, literal real kingdom, that's exactly what the Jews 00:16:46.50\00:16:51.83 believed, and he couldn't figure out how you could bring it without everybody knowing 00:16:51.83\00:16:56.36 it. 00:16:56.36\00:16:58.50 He also reflects I think humility. 00:16:58.50\00:17:02.43 Why would You tell it to us and not the whole world, why would 00:17:02.43\00:17:05.96 You limit Yourself to just us? 00:17:05.96\00:17:08.23 So you see some things in him that are admirable. 00:17:08.23\00:17:13.56 Only those whose heart are purified by love and walk in obedience will know the 00:17:13.56\00:17:18.06 manifestation of God. 00:17:18.06\00:17:21.50 I think that's the kind of person Thaddaeus was. 00:17:21.50\00:17:25.10 So we see the Lord uses obscure people like James, the son of 00:17:25.10\00:17:32.60 Alphaeus and Thaddaeus, Lebbaeus, Judas. 00:17:32.60\00:17:36.63 By the way, early church tradition tells us he was killed 00:17:36.63\00:17:42.36 in Syria. If you ever pick up an old church history book on Thaddaeus you will see 00:17:42.36\00:17:50.76 that each of the disciples have a symbol and the symbol for 00:17:50.76\00:17:55.56 Thaddaeus is a big club, because the legend says they beat him to 00:17:55.56\00:18:02.80 death with a club. Faithful to his Lord. 00:18:02.80\00:18:07.40 Finally, the last name for this morning, "Simon, the Zealot. 00:18:07.40\00:18:12.66 " There were four dominant groups within Judaism, Pharisees, the Sadducees 00:18:12.66\00:18:17.43 there were the Essenes and then there were the Zealots. 00:18:17.43\00:18:20.46 The Zealsots were the political oriented group, they were the 00:18:20.46\00:18:23.83 terrorists, they were the guerrillas. 00:18:23.83\00:18:26.30 Now a man like Simon to attach himself to them must have been a 00:18:26.30\00:18:32.90 man with a tremendous passion, a tremendous capacity for zeal. 00:18:32.90\00:18:36.90 And you can imagine that he must have been a fireball when it got 00:18:36.90\00:18:41.60 to the work of the Lord. 00:18:41.60\00:18:44.06 He found a better leader and a greater cause. 00:18:44.06\00:18:46.66 He is listed, right before what name? 00:18:46.66\00:18:48.86 Judas Iscariot. 00:18:48.86\00:18:53.36 It's interesting to me but they probably went together two by 00:18:53.36\00:18:59.30 two, because Judas had the same kind of political orientation, 00:18:59.30\00:19:07.80 didn't he? Simon could have been the betrayer, and you would have named your children 00:19:07.80\00:19:12.36 Judas, not Simon. 00:19:12.36\00:19:17.13 But Simon believed and was transformed, Judas did not, and 00:19:17.13\00:19:23.93 so no one names anything Judas. 00:19:23.93\00:19:27.06 Simon became Christ's man. 00:19:27.06\00:19:29.93 Think of how wonderful it must have been for him to get along 00:19:29.93\00:19:34.50 with Matthew who collected taxes for the Roman government. 00:19:34.50\00:19:39.06 I wonder if he ever had just little anxieties about Matthew. 00:19:39.06\00:19:45.66 Well, the Lord uses all kinds of unqualified people, doesn't He? 00:19:45.66\00:19:51.90 He can use you and me. 00:19:51.90\00:19:56.50 There was a concert violinist who wanted to demonstrate, a 00:19:56.50\00:20:01.60 very important point he felt, so he hired a great hall in a city 00:20:01.60\00:20:07.00 and announced that he would play a concert on a twenty thousand 00:20:07.00\00:20:12.03 dollar violin. He had the place packed with violin lovers, came 00:20:12.03\00:20:17.66 out and he played exquisitely and they applauded just 00:20:17.66\00:20:23.10 gloriously. He bowed and took their applause, threw the violin to the ground and stomped 00:20:23.10\00:20:25.63 it into bits. 00:20:25.63\00:20:27.73 The people were horrified. 00:20:27.73\00:20:29.26 And then he walked off the stage. 00:20:29.26\00:20:32.06 The stage manager came out and said, Ladies and Gentlemen, to 00:20:32.06\00:20:35.33 put you at ease that was a twenty dollar violin, he will now return to play the twenty 00:20:35.33\00:20:41.93 thousand, or whatever it was, violin. 00:20:41.93\00:20:44.96 And you know what? 00:20:44.96\00:20:47.23 They couldn't tell the difference, and he made his 00:20:47.23\00:20:51.80 point. It isn't the instrument, it's the artist, right? 00:20:51.80\00:20:57.40 Now folks let's face it, most of us are twenty dollar violins, at 00:20:57.40\00:21:04.73 best, right? 00:21:04.73\00:21:06.16 At best. 00:21:06.16\00:21:08.06 But oh what music can the Master make with us. 00:21:08.06\00:21:11.23 There are days when I feel 00:21:11.23\00:21:16.93 There are days when I feel 00:21:25.30\00:21:29.26 the best of me is ready to begin 00:21:30.33\00:21:35.26 Then they're days when I feel 00:21:36.20\00:21:39.66 i'm letting go and soaring on the wind 00:21:40.76\00:21:46.26 Cause i've learned in laughter or in pain how to survive 00:21:47.83\00:21:56.06 I get on my knees, 00:21:56.83\00:22:01.50 I get on my knees 00:22:02.16\00:22:06.43 There I am before the love that changes me 00:22:07.63\00:22:15.70 See I don't know how but there's power when i'm on my knees 00:22:17.23\00:22:29.86 I can be in a crowd 00:22:33.70\00:22:37.70 or by myself or almost anywhere 00:22:38.80\00:22:43.66 When I feel there's a need 00:22:44.50\00:22:47.96 to talk with God, he is Emmanuel 00:22:48.90\00:22:53.86 When I close my eyes, no darkness there 00:22:54.96\00:22:59.63 There's only light 00:23:00.36\00:23:04.03 I get on my knees, 00:23:04.83\00:23:09.46 I get on my knees 00:23:10.10\00:23:14.30 There I am before the love that changes me 00:23:15.43\00:23:23.73 See I don't know how but there's power in the blue skies, 00:23:25.16\00:23:31.63 in the midnight 00:23:33.00\00:23:36.36 When i'm on my knees 00:23:38.30\00:23:48.10 I get on my knees, 00:23:49.20\00:23:53.23 I get on my knees 00:23:53.93\00:23:58.66 There I am before the love that changes me 00:23:59.90\00:24:07.60 See I don't know how but there's power when i'm on my.... 00:24:09.10\00:24:16.13 Oh, When i'm on my.... 00:24:17.33\00:24:20.40 When i'm on my knees 00:24:22.73\00:24:34.86 >>Bill: Let us pray. 00:24:47.36\00:24:49.43 Thank you Father for your word to us through the lives of these 00:24:49.43\00:24:51.93 obscure people. 00:24:51.93\00:24:54.83 Thank you that we will see them reigning in your kingdom, that 00:24:54.83\00:24:59.06 we'll spend eternity with them and learn all of the unspoken 00:24:59.06\00:25:03.36 truths about their powerful and marvelous ministries. 00:25:03.36\00:25:09.03 Lord help us to know that the focus in never on the human tool 00:25:09.03\00:25:12.56 but only on you. 00:25:12.56\00:25:14.66 Put these truths deep in our hearts, may we see what you can 00:25:14.66\00:25:19.06 do with a simple life for your glory. 00:25:19.06\00:25:21.63 Thank you for this time together, in Jesus name, amen. 00:25:21.63\00:25:26.83 >>Dave: God can take a very common person and transform them 00:25:40.20\00:25:42.86 into a very uncommon apostle. 00:25:42.86\00:25:45.86 The only qualification God needs is availability - and that means 00:25:45.86\00:25:49.16 he can use anyone of us if we make ourselves available. 00:25:49.16\00:25:52.80 Pastor Bill has written a book "All the King's men", it includes all of the 00:25:52.80\00:25:57.06 messages in this series, we would love to send it to you, 00:25:57.06\00:26:00.90 here is the information you need to get your free copy. 00:26:00.90\00:26:02.90 >>Bill: Let me thank you for joining us again this week. 00:27:03.76\00:27:05.76 I hope you are enjoying this series on the disciples. 00:27:05.76\00:27:08.66 You can visit our web site and for a $50 donation you can pre-order a DVD and a 00:27:08.66\00:27:13.76 study guide and the book of this series that is excellent for 00:27:13.76\00:27:19.96 your own study or small group study or church Bible study. 00:27:19.96\00:27:24.73 The series is available in Portuguese and Spanish is English in not your first 00:27:24.73\00:27:29.00 language. 00:27:29.00\00:27:30.86 You can get that at our web site I t IsWrittenCanada.ca. 00:27:30.86\00:27:34.36 You can also visit our youtube channel -- youtube.com/IIWCanada, all 00:27:34.36\00:27:43.33 of our programs are there you watch them, you can refer a 00:27:43.33\00:27:46.83 friend you can send them to people you know, you can also follow us on twitter. 00:27:46.83\00:27:52.00 Well I hope we have the privilege of being back together 00:27:52.00\00:27:56.93 again next week.
