00:19:40.54\00:19:42.04 The answer to that is obvious. 00:19:42.08\00:19:43.71 Yes, He does. 00:19:43.75\00:19:45.01 Now, we don't see miracles like that happen very often today. 00:19:45.05\00:19:49.55 Jesus isn't walking the earth in a literal sense 00:19:49.58\00:19:53.62 like He was 2,000 years ago. 00:19:53.66\00:19:56.69 But God does still heal. 00:19:56.73\00:20:00.43 And God does still work miracles. 00:20:00.46\00:20:04.30 Very often, He uses people to get the job done. 00:20:04.33\00:20:09.80 When that man called out to Jesus, 00:20:09.84\00:20:11.51 he made a very specific request: 00:20:11.54\00:20:13.88 “Lord, that I may receive my sight.” 00:20:13.91\00:20:19.01 If you were blind, 00:20:19.05\00:20:21.25 I expect that would be your prayer. 00:20:21.28\00:20:23.79 The man's prayer was answered. 00:20:23.82\00:20:26.09 Jesus said, “'Receive your sight; 00:20:26.12\00:20:29.22 your faith has made you well.' 00:20:29.26\00:20:32.23 And immediately he received his sight, 00:20:32.26\00:20:34.66 and followed Him, glorifying God. 00:20:34.73\00:20:37.13 And all the people, when they saw it, 00:20:37.17\00:20:40.47 gave praise to God.” 00:20:40.50\00:20:43.24 Now, can you imagine being used by God 00:20:43.27\00:20:46.98 to restore sight to someone who is visually impaired, 00:20:47.01\00:20:51.05 or to someone who is completely blind? 00:20:51.08\00:20:55.25 This is not merely hypothetical. 00:20:55.28\00:20:57.29 Now, turn that upside down. 00:20:57.32\00:20:59.09 Imagine that somebody wants to be able to see, 00:20:59.12\00:21:03.56 and the mechanism exists for them to be able to see again, 00:21:03.59\00:21:07.10 and yet nobody will connect the person 00:21:07.13\00:21:09.63 with the healing mechanism. 00:21:09.66\00:21:11.40 Let me say that again. 00:21:11.43\00:21:13.60 Imagine someone wants to be able to see, 00:21:13.64\00:21:15.87 and they can, but no one will help. 00:21:15.90\00:21:19.61 Now, that man called to Jesus, and he said, 00:21:19.64\00:21:21.34 “Lord, that I may receive my sight.” 00:21:21.38\00:21:24.31 And today there are people calling to me and to you, 00:21:24.35\00:21:26.88 and they're saying, 00:21:26.92\00:21:28.22 “That I may receive my sight. That I may receive my sight.” 00:21:28.25\00:21:33.19 And the truth is, 00:21:33.22\00:21:34.82 God is looking to restore sight to the blind, 00:21:34.86\00:21:39.79 and He wants you to make it possible. 00:21:39.83\00:21:43.06 ¤[Music]¤ 00:21:43.10\00:21:47.14 >>Dr. Prabhakar: Every year we do about 00:21:47.17\00:21:48.84 ten to twelve thousand surgeries. 00:21:48.87\00:21:50.81 The need is so great, the resources are so minimal, 00:21:50.84\00:21:54.81 and they are so poor. 00:21:54.84\00:21:56.71 The support is not adequate enough to meet the increasing 00:21:56.75\00:22:00.82 demand of the surgeries. 00:22:00.85\00:22:03.22 And so if only we have more resources. 00:22:03.25\00:22:06.92 What we need is materials, funds, 00:22:06.96\00:22:10.73 equipment, team members, and we'd be able to do about 20,000 00:22:10.76\00:22:15.76 or more surgeries in a year, and it would be a great opportunity 00:22:15.80\00:22:19.63 to serve these patients, give them the gift of sight. 00:22:19.67\00:22:22.40 It's a big impact changing the lives of people across India. 00:22:22.44\00:22:27.21 ¤[Music]¤ 00:22:27.24\00:22:34.58 ¤[Music]¤ 00:22:36.65\00:22:41.56 >>John: Today I'd like to ask you to help It Is Written 00:22:41.59\00:22:43.86 open the eyes of the blind. 00:22:43.89\00:22:46.39 India has more blind people than any country on earth. 00:22:46.43\00:22:49.50 But simple cataract surgery can make the difference between 00:22:49.53\00:22:52.50 seeing and not seeing for many people. 00:22:52.53\00:22:55.14 Eyes for India is a project that's providing cataract 00:22:55.17\00:22:58.81 surgery for people in desperate need of the gift of sight. 00:22:58.84\00:23:02.68 Please help today. 00:23:02.71\00:23:03.95 Call 800-253-3000. 00:23:03.98\00:23:07.75 Eyes for India and It Is Written are doing the work of Jesus 00:23:07.78\00:23:11.22 in opening the eyes of the blind 00:23:11.25\00:23:13.89 and opening hearts to the love of God. 00:23:13.92\00:23:16.76 You can also donate online at itiswritten.com. 00:23:16.79\00:23:20.90 Please call 800-253-3000, 00:23:20.93\00:23:24.43 or write to P O Box 6, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37401. 00:23:24.47\00:23:30.24 Or visit itiswritten.com. 00:23:30.27\00:23:36.31 >>John: Followers of Jesus are called 00:23:37.38\00:23:39.85 to enter into the work of Jesus. 00:23:39.88\00:23:43.35 The Bible says that Jesus had compassion on others. 00:23:43.39\00:23:47.76 Again and again it says He was moved with compassion. 00:23:47.79\00:23:52.53 The sufferings of others bothered Him. 00:23:52.56\00:23:55.30 Their losses affected Him. 00:23:55.33\00:23:57.60 The struggles of people moved Jesus. 00:23:57.63\00:24:02.30 Would you be moved?
