versions of what the Nazis did.

Many of the lessons that
cry out to us from the ruins

the crematoria, intellectual

culture, the highest
education humans can afford,

they are no safeguard
against the evils that lurk

It's true that one
of the brightest minds

and violence, of genocide,

they might not be on the same

that the spirit of Auschwitz

lives on in the lives
of tyrants and mad men,

in the eyes of people
with an ideology so twisted

that somehow the most
depraved actions are justified.

Now, think with me for a
moment about what the Bible

says is ahead for planet Earth.

In Revelation 13:1, John
sees a beast rising up out

of the sea.
00:21:32.30\00:21:33.36
Not a dinosaur, a beast.
00:21:33.36\00:21:35.76
What would that beast be?

Several times, the prophet
Daniel tells us that a beast
00:21:37.96\00:21:42.36
is a symbol used in
Bible prophecy to represent
00:21:42.36\00:21:46.00
a kingdom or a nation.

So in Revelation 13:1,
John saw the rise of a nation.
00:21:47.56\00:21:53.63
And it would be a mighty nation.
00:21:53.63\00:21:55.70
[Music] Verse 2 tells us Satan

gave this nation great power,
and verse 3 says, "All the world
00:22:00.70\00:22:05.60
marveled and
followed the beast." Whatever

this is would blaspheme against
God and would persecute God's

people.

You read that in verses 6 and 7.

And Revelation 13:8 says,
"All who dwell on the earth
00:22:16.76\00:22:21.06
will worship him." Then verse
12 says that a second beast

causes the earth and
those who dwell in it to worship

the first beast.
00:22:29.16\00:22:32.36
An ideology so
strong, believed so radically
00:22:32.36\00:22:36.30
that those committed to it
are prepared to enforce it.

And how far will those behind
this movement actually go?

Here's Revelation 13:15:
"He was granted power to give

breath to the image of
the beast, that the image

of the beast should both
speak and cause as many as would

not worship the image
of the beast to be killed."

Verse 17 says that those
who don't yield to this movement

won't be able to buy and sell.

A movement very similar
to what was witnessed during

the Nazi reign in Germany.

But this time, a
worldwide movement, built around

a religious ideology.

We've seen many times,
even in fairly recent history,

that there are plenty of
people willing to take the lives

of others who won't fall in
line with a certain religious

ideology.

And so what do we say?

Do we say, oh, there's
no way that could happen.

Educated, cultured
people just won't act that way.

History demonstrates to us
that just sticking your head

make something go away.

Auschwitz took place
under the noses of the world.

The world looked on;
it was really happening.

What's coming is coming.

A time of real crisis for
those who won't cave in to

the ideology that's

Faith in Jesus will
see you through any crisis
