00:14 "Eat the bread, you will have life.
00:16 Eat My flesh, you will have life.
00:19 Drink My blood, you will have life."
00:22 The evidence is our willingness
00:23 to hear and obey the Word of God,
00:27 especially since we realize this is God speaking.
00:33 This is not an ordinary book
00:35 we are talking about this morning,
00:38 this is the word of life.
00:40 This is the Word of God.
00:42 We are in His presence.
00:47 The Holy Spirit's ability to inspire.
01:03 Happy Sabbath.
01:05 Happy Sabbath.
01:06 Great spirit here.
01:08 Yesterday morning I was praising God,
01:12 and we have more people here this morning
01:14 so we should be rejoicing.
01:17 And we learned yesterday,
01:20 but the Holy Spirit has inspired
01:24 which means
01:27 God breathed into His word
01:33 and it became the living word or the word of life.
01:39 This is not just the word about God,
01:42 this is the word of God.
01:46 When you read His word and eat it or act upon it,
01:50 you come into the very presence of God Himself
01:53 and God is privileged
01:55 in the process of becoming a part of you.
02:01 It's getting better.
02:03 I know from experience
02:04 if I say something three times up here,
02:06 you get a rousing response.
02:08 I'll leave it at two for this morning.
02:11 So this morning we're going to be speaking about
02:14 because this whole week is dealing with
02:17 the Holy Spirit's ability to inspire
02:20 and this morning we're going to be speaking
02:22 about His ability to Inspire A Movement.
02:33 Open your Bibles to Revelation Chapter 12,
02:37 Revelation Chapter 12.
02:39 Let's hear the wrestling of those pages.
02:45 That's why I love people to bring Bibles to my meetings,
02:48 it gives me courage to see the word being opened
02:51 and it's not all just up there on the screen,
02:54 but we can actually open our Bibles and use them.
02:58 Now it's an interesting chapter Revelation 12
03:01 because there is a woman in Revelation 12
03:05 and what kind of woman is she?
03:06 Is she a virtuous woman or is she is a harlot woman?
03:13 She is a very virtuous woman.
03:16 And we have these contrasting women
03:19 in Revelation.
03:21 And a woman as you well know
03:23 is the prophetic symbol of the church.
03:28 So this is a virtuous woman so we recognize
03:33 but because she is crowned with the crown of 12 stars,
03:38 she is standing on the moon
03:41 which is a reflection of the light coming from the sun.
03:47 Whenever you see the symbolism in prophecy
03:50 sun, moon and stars,
03:53 you are looking at the symbol
03:56 of God's true people.
04:00 We get all hung up on the fact that
04:02 there might be some signs in the heaven,
04:04 it's the symbol of God's true people,
04:07 the sun, moon, and stars.
04:11 And by the way if one of those seven trumpets
04:13 is addressed to the sun, moon and stars,
04:15 you better believe
04:17 it's addressed to the true last day people of God.
04:21 It's a message for them.
04:24 So in Revelation 12,
04:26 we have a pure woman
04:28 and the interesting thing to me is there are three phases,
04:34 three phases of the woman.
04:40 There's only one woman but she has three phases,
04:47 and the good news this morning is
04:51 they don't miss this in 6,000 years.
04:57 Allow yourselves to hear this, this morning.
04:59 In 6,000 years
05:02 God has only reached down three times
05:06 and raised up a man,
05:10 called Him and powered Him
05:14 and build around Him a great movement.
05:19 It's only happened three times
05:22 in 6,000 years.
05:27 And there is no fourth movement
05:30 in Revelation 12.
05:33 There's only three.
05:36 The first of those movements you can read it,
05:39 the beginning of Revelation 12.
05:43 "A sign appeared in heaven,
05:45 a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet,
05:48 and on her head a crown of twelve stars."
05:51 The symbol of the sun by the way
05:53 is a symbol of the righteousness of Jesus.
05:56 He is called the Rising of the Sun
05:58 in Scriptures.
06:00 It's a beautiful symbol.
06:01 "And she was with child
06:03 and she cried out being in labor
06:06 and in pain to give birth."
06:10 Now if you read on down to verse 5,
06:12 "She gave birth to a son, a male child
06:14 who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron,
06:17 and her child was caught up to God,
06:19 and to his throne."
06:21 And we have long recognized this symbol
06:25 of the first movement that God raised up
06:27 that which brought forth the child was which people.
06:32 It was Israel, of course it was Israel.
06:37 That's why she has 12 stars,
06:41 a crown of 12 stars.
06:44 Israel, the first movement that God raised up.
06:48 He called Abraham,
06:51 the first man to be called to head up a movement
06:55 and had they been faithful,
06:57 we would all be going to Jerusalem today
07:01 to find out the truth of the one true God.
07:05 But you don't quite encounter that
07:06 when you go to Jerusalem today
07:10 because they fell into apostasy,
07:15 and I won't go into the history of Israel today.
07:19 But this was the first movement that God raised up
07:22 and it must have been a very tragic thing
07:24 for Jesus to actually say in His day
07:27 "I have taken the kingdom from you,
07:32 and I'm giving it to a people
07:34 who were once not my people."
07:41 Let those words penetrate this morning.
07:44 You can never presume
07:47 to remain the beneficiary
07:50 of all of God's grace and blessings
07:53 unless there is a willing heartfelt response to the love
07:57 that He has manifested towards you.
08:00 In other words we cannot take God for granted.
08:04 It's not enough to have quotes the truth,
08:08 we have to know God, the only living God.
08:12 Is there an amen to that?
08:13 Amen.
08:15 And so God breathes down.
08:17 Here we have Abraham coming into focus.
08:22 So God raised up another man 2,000 years ago,
08:29 probably a little more illustrious than Abraham
08:32 because he had some incredible beginnings.
08:37 Who am I referring to?
08:38 Jesus of course, Jesus.
08:43 And the movement that Jesus raised up,
08:49 Christianity.
08:51 Let me put--
08:54 let's remain consistent here, Christianity.
08:59 And you can read about that in the same chapter.
09:03 The followers of Jesus became known as Christians
09:06 and in Revelation 12:6,
09:12 "The woman fled to the wilderness,
09:14 where she had a place prepared by God,
09:17 so that there
09:18 she might be nourished for 1,260 days."
09:24 This is historically
09:25 we know that this is an application
09:28 to the Middle Ages church
09:30 which fled into the wilderness
09:32 and eventually fell into apostasy
09:35 and Christianity became hopelessly divided.
09:40 You know the devil loves to divide the people of God.
09:43 You know that, don't you?
09:45 Tell how harder it's to find a unified church today.
09:49 I was in a unified church recently
09:52 for the first time in years.
09:54 I had a mild heart attack while I was there,
09:56 the shock was too great for me.
09:59 I said, "There's got to be some disunity in this church."
10:02 Somebody said, "We don't have any.
10:04 We just love one another."
10:06 I said, "It's too-- too much for me to handle
10:09 coming to a church like this."
10:10 The devil loves to divide God's people
10:13 because he knows if he can successfully do that,
10:17 that God will never be fully manifested and revealed
10:22 in most people.
10:24 And the third movement in Revelation 12.
10:27 Look at the end of the chapter and you all know this so well,
10:30 that's one of our favorite passages,
10:32 Revelation 12:17.
10:36 By the way, the ending of that period of 1260 years
10:40 was what year?
10:43 1798 so this third movement,
10:46 I'm gonna just put it up here, it's post 1798.
10:50 Whatever, whoever this third movement is,
10:53 it arises after 1798.
10:56 After the church has gone into the wilderness
11:00 and only a remnant is left,
11:02 then we see the beginning of a new movement
11:05 and here it is described in verse 17.
11:08 "The dragon was wrath with the woman
11:12 and went to make war with...
11:14 the remnant of her seed
11:16 who keep the commandments of God
11:18 and have... the testimony of Jesus."
11:21 And we got a whole meeting on this later in the week.
11:24 We gonna be shocked
11:25 by the understanding of the testimony
11:27 of Jesus that comes out.
11:29 The word testimony by the way is the word witness.
11:33 It's the Greek word Martyreon.
11:35 It's the root of the word martyr, interestingly enough.
11:39 So here is the final movement.
11:42 They are only a remnant,
11:45 the rest or the remnant of her seed.
11:50 And interestingly enough
11:52 there is a church on earth today
11:54 which lays claim to being this remnant,
11:57 I'm wondering if you've ever heard of it.
12:00 What does it call itself?
12:03 Calls itself Seventh-day Adventist.
12:07 That's what it calls itself.
12:10 And I'm challenging you this morning
12:11 what right do we have to lay claim,
12:17 not be the remnant church
12:19 but perhaps to be the remnant people
12:21 who are part of this remnant people.
12:24 And that's where I'm leading you this morning
12:26 because this is only been three times in 6,000 years
12:30 has God raised up a people.
12:33 The first two movements fell into apostasy.
12:41 I'm expecting apostasy by the way in our own ranks.
12:47 There's only one movement left on earth
12:49 that could go into apostasy and we happen to represent it.
12:54 So some big things are coming,
12:55 I'm already encountering apostasies
12:57 all around the country.
12:59 I've never strike a period in my life
13:01 when such weird ideas are coming forth.
13:04 People walk up to me, I've got fresh light.
13:08 I said, well, I can hardly wait to hear it.
13:12 Oh, you know, Jesus is not really God.
13:14 I said, well, thank you for sharing that with me.
13:17 Oh, the Holy Spirit is not a person
13:20 or unless you keep the Jewish weeks of festivals,
13:24 you won't be saved.
13:25 And I say, thank you so much
13:28 for sharing this new light with me
13:29 and just reach for my antidepressants.
13:33 I'm speaking about in Seventh-day Adventist churches
13:36 I'm hearing all this.
13:42 What gives us the right to lay claim
13:47 to being the true people of God,
13:50 so I have researched this very, very strongly.
13:52 You know, what I have found out.
13:56 These three movements
13:58 were all given the same message by God.
14:04 I mean the exact same message.
14:10 There's only one message they all have in common.
14:16 That's not 27 points of doctrine either.
14:21 There's one teaching that they all have in common
14:26 which sets them up hot
14:29 because there is only one biblical teaching
14:34 which contains the complete plan of redemption,
14:40 and that is the teaching of...
14:46 the sanctuary, of course, Cedius, thank you.
14:49 It's the teaching of the sanctuary.
14:53 It's the only teaching in the whole Bible
14:58 that contains the complete plan of redemption.
15:04 We happen to know that even though
15:06 the cross is the most marvelous demonstration of God's love,
15:10 it's not the end of the journey.
15:14 It was the entrance into the sanctuary
15:18 where God completed
15:20 the ongoing process of salvation
15:23 in the lives of His children... the sanctuary.
15:29 The one message that they all have in common.
15:32 Once I began to realize this,
15:34 I started looking much more seriously at our own movement.
15:40 And the claims that we have made
15:42 and I began to question myself
15:44 why are we hearing so little about the sanctuary today.
15:49 It's our only distinctive teaching,
15:51 did you know that.
15:54 It's our only distinctive teaching.
15:57 It's probably a true thing to say
16:00 that it's the only old landmark
16:05 that we have that's unique to ourselves.
16:10 Everything else we teach
16:11 we got other people who believe it,
16:13 but the sanctuary is unique, it sets you apart.
16:18 Was it present in Israel?
16:23 Exodus 25:8, you know it well, I'm sure.
16:28 Let them make me a sanctuary that I might dwell among them.
16:34 And the term sanctuary
16:36 did not only have reference to a building,
16:39 it had reference to a people in whom God would dwell.
16:46 Thank you very much.
16:47 You're on a roll this morning.
16:49 Praise God.
16:52 Praise God, it's one of those occasions.
16:56 It's an incredible thing to see
16:58 that the sanctuary not only had reference to a tent,
17:03 it actually had reference to the people
17:06 who came to that tent
17:08 and God was trying to teach them
17:11 that I plan to indwell you.
17:15 So the sanctuary
17:17 becomes a huge thing, huge.
17:21 I'm going to draw it up here briefly.
17:26 The courtyard, the holy place
17:30 and the most holy place.
17:35 There's three sections in the sanctuary.
17:38 There's a courtyard and out here was the altar
17:42 of burn sacrifice and the laver.
17:45 We have the sacrifice here.
17:51 As the blood was taken through daily,
17:53 this was the place of daily ministry here.
17:57 Daily, let that word sink in.
18:00 Daily.
18:02 I'm going to just write it here so you don't forget it, daily.
18:06 And there're three articles of furniture here remember,
18:08 there is a table of showbread,
18:12 the seven golden candlesticks
18:15 and there is an altar of incense.
18:19 In the daily ministry we have oil,
18:23 we have bread and we have incense.
18:30 And those three items
18:32 oil, bread, incense
18:37 all have something in common.
18:41 That's why they are used symbolically
18:44 in the daily ministry.
18:46 Remember the blood is taken in
18:48 and sprinkled here on this altar and here.
18:52 Everyday the blood was taken in.
18:56 The blood of atonement is taken in here
19:00 because blood is the great symbol biblically of life,
19:05 not death, of life.
19:07 It's to teach us
19:09 that if you embrace the atoning death of Jesus,
19:13 you now, have access to His marvelous life.
19:21 I'm gonna repeat that again.
19:24 I don't do well with feebleness, you know that.
19:28 If you have embraced the atoning death of Jesus,
19:33 that is the doorway to His marvelous life.
19:37 Amen.
19:39 Whenever I meet somebody
19:40 who is not experiencing victory,
19:42 they're not rejoicing with the living Christ in them,
19:45 I have to bring them back to the cross,
19:49 so that they can stand there and look at the cross
19:52 and actually look up and say to the Father,
19:55 thank you for lifting from me
19:59 through the atoning death of Jesus
20:01 all my guilt,
20:04 all my condemnation,
20:08 all my judgment
20:11 and all my second death.
20:15 All of that has been lifted from me
20:19 and placed on Jesus Christ
20:22 who did not deserve it,
20:27 but He did it to free me up
20:29 so that I might now daily experiencing Him,
20:34 experience Him indwelling me through the Holy Spirit.
20:39 I can actually have
20:41 an intimate delightful walk with Jesus every single day,
20:46 but I've got news for you this morning
20:49 if you're carrying the burden of sin,
20:51 the guilt, the condemnation,
20:56 it will crush you.
20:58 If you're in fear of judgment
21:00 and you haven't realize it's already fallen on Jesus.
21:04 If hellfire and the second death
21:07 are terrifying to you
21:08 and you haven't realized that you already died that in Jesus.
21:14 You will not be free
21:17 to enjoy the daily walk and intimacy with Him.
21:22 It's all about our relationship with Jesus
21:24 and the cross was designed to lift from us
21:28 all the burden of guilt and condemnation,
21:32 so with hearts up lifted and strengthened,
21:35 we can now look
21:36 to the living Christ coming into us
21:38 as the blood was carried in here every single day.
21:42 So what are these three things have in common?
21:44 Oil, incense and bread.
21:51 They're all symbolic of Christ
21:53 but how did they become what they are
21:55 so they can be used in the sanctuary.
21:57 How did we get oil and what it did do?
21:59 How did we get bread and what it did do?
22:02 And how do we get incense and what it did do
22:04 as a function?
22:07 Oil produced life, yes.
22:11 But I'm looking at these as basic elements,
22:15 not symbolically at the moment, as basic elements.
22:21 I saw your lips moving and nothing coming out.
22:24 You're giving me symbolism,
22:26 I'm looking at them as symbols,
22:27 they're much as basic elements.
22:33 They were all crushed.
22:34 Thank you very much.
22:35 In order to obtain them, they're crushed.
22:39 The oil is crushed. The grain is crushed.
22:44 The incense is crushed.
22:46 In order to perform their God given function,
22:50 they're crushed and then having been crushed,
22:53 they're then... it came out yesterday
22:58 not as clearly but it came through in yesterday's meeting.
23:01 Having been crushed, they're rolled in...
23:06 They're life giving if you bring in the right word.
23:08 Who said life giving?
23:11 What word came out yesterday that supports that?
23:16 Jesus spoke about the bread but unless you eat it.
23:22 So these things are all crushed
23:23 but then they have to be consumed
23:29 or else they do not produce their life giving impact,
23:33 they have to be consumed.
23:36 And then you can move into the symbolic relevance,
23:39 the Holy Spirit, the bread, the word of God,
23:44 the ministry of intercession of Jesus Christ Himself,
23:47 all becoming an internal part of us daily.
23:51 This is how the living Christ brings Himself into us
23:56 through the word, anointed by the sprit,
24:00 all undergirded with beautiful intercession.
24:03 He makes Himself available to His children.
24:07 This sanctuary is an incredible picture.
24:10 Incredible picture.
24:11 Every little symbol is significant, isn't it?
24:15 Every little symbol is significant.
24:19 I mean take the candlesticks.
24:22 The oil flows down the central pipe here
24:26 which Revelation says
24:28 is actually a picture of Jesus Himself.
24:31 It flows out into the branches where the wigs were made from
24:35 the dirty discarded undergarments of the priest.
24:40 Torn into strips, soaked in oil,
24:45 they bring forth light.
24:49 And who is standing in the middle of candlesticks
24:51 in Revelation?
24:52 Jesus.
24:53 All that light is reflecting on Jesus.
24:56 It's a magnificent picture in Revelation.
25:01 The dirty garments soaked in oil,
25:06 transformed into producing light
25:10 which reflects Jesus.
25:11 What a message that is and what a profound,
25:14 that's the message of course of righteousness by faith.
25:17 So here we're having the daily ministry of Jesus
25:19 where growth takes place.
25:23 This is where growth takes place on a daily basis.
25:26 Here is the sacrifice
25:29 which leads to growth in the life
25:32 and what's left in the most holy place?
25:34 What furniture?
25:36 The Ark of the Covenant
25:38 which contains the Ten Commandments
25:39 among other things and the mercy seat above it.
25:44 The mercy seat above it.
25:46 The two symbols by the way
25:48 of the justice and the mercy of God.
25:54 The Ark of the Covenant with the Ten Commandments,
25:57 the justice of God and the mercy seat above it,
26:01 justice and mercy coming together.
26:04 We have long seen that this is the place of judgment.
26:10 Well, I have news for you this morning
26:11 and we'll deal with this later in the week as well.
26:16 For too long now, we have had the wrong focus
26:18 in talking about the investigative judgment.
26:21 We ought to have the focus on God instead of on man
26:32 because our judgment has already fallen on Jesus.
26:38 Let's bow our head together this morning.
26:41 Father in heaven,
26:44 what a gracious and mighty God You are.
26:48 We can hardly comprehended
26:50 how generous You've been in offering Your Son Father,
26:57 as an offering for sin,
26:59 and then making His beautiful life
27:01 available through the spirit daily,
27:05 and then choosing to glorify Yourself
27:07 through the most miserable of species.
27:11 We can hardly comprehend
27:12 but in our hearts we feel a deep
27:15 and abiding gratitude today
27:17 and we plan with Jesus in us today
27:19 to spend our whole Sabbath just glorifying you.
27:23 Thank you in anticipation for the hope
27:25 that lies within us today in Jesus' precious name.
27:30 Amen. Amen.
