00:18 Trying to get in shape for my trip to India.
00:21 Christ said to go into all the world and preach the gospel 00:25 to every creature. 00:26 The problem is we have no idea who they are. 00:32 How are we supposed to effectively communicate the 00:34 gospel to a people we know nothing about; 00:37 how they think; what kind of pressures they have in their 00:40 daily lives? 00:41 Come with me and let's meet India face to face. 01:16 One of the things that surprised me about India was how much 01:19 variety there is in the country. 01:21 India's got everything: plains, mountains, jungle, desert. 01:25 The climate ranges from tropical heat to Himalayan cool. 01:29 India has it all! 01:36 These are simple people, many of whom have never even seen 01:39 paper money. 01:40 Yet in heaven's eyes each one is worth more than the whole world. 01:43 But they live in fear and uncertainty, worried about 01:45 offending one of the millions of god's that they worship. 01:48 How do we reach them with the good news of Jesus Christ? 01:50 God plants keys in each culture that can provide an avenue 01:54 for the gospel to enter, if we can find it. 01:57 And today we're out looking for a key to the 900 million Hindu 02:01 hearts in India. 12:39 Isn't that exciting? 12:40 We've seen three ways into the Hindu heart. 12:43 One is the sanctuary structure. 12:46 The way that the sanctuary is built with the courtyard, 12:49 the holy place, and the most holy place. 12:51 And the other one is the substitutionary sacrifice; 12:54 the idea that something else can pay for your sins. 12:57 And a third key is the healing power of Jesus Christ 13:00 doing miracles. 13:01 There's another key that I found while over there, but I didn't 13:04 get a chance to put it on tape, and that is a Daniel 2 prophecy 13:08 where a stone will come out of space and smash into the world. 13:11 Everything will be obliterated. 13:13 The problem is in the Hindu religion there's no escape plan. 13:17 And so using these keys, using these understandings, 13:20 using these avenues, we can reach the Hindu heart 13:23 where they're at, and give them the truth, the joy of the 13:27 service of Jesus Christ, of a firm foundation to stand upon. 13:31 This small peak into Hinduism has really aroused my curiosity. 13:35 Join me for more shows of India Face to Face. |
