When a hurricane, a terrible hurricane approaches the coast, 00:00:01.36\00:00:05.37 there's a time to leave. 00:00:05.40\00:00:07.27 A time before it's too late. 00:00:07.70\00:00:10.51 One of the more recent terrible hurricanes 00:00:32.66\00:00:34.86 that hit the United States, I was reading the testimonies 00:00:34.90\00:00:37.80 of people who decided not to leave, some lost their lives. 00:00:38.13\00:00:42.07 Some lost everything. 00:00:42.14\00:00:43.47 And they said, "If I had to do this over again, 00:00:43.51\00:00:44.84 I wouldn't hesitate to leave." 00:00:44.87\00:00:47.31 They thought they could stay, but there's a time to leave. 00:00:47.34\00:00:52.01 And we need to leave while there's time to get out. 00:00:52.31\00:00:56.79 And there's a time that talks about that in the Bible. 00:00:56.82\00:00:59.25 Before I go there, I want to remind us of another time 00:01:00.22\00:01:03.16 in earth's history. 00:01:03.19\00:01:04.59 Germany was a great democracy. 00:01:04.96\00:01:07.33 And yet, it ended up buying into Hitler's formula 00:01:07.43\00:01:12.10 for prosperity and everything else. 00:01:12.13\00:01:14.97 And pretty soon it became clear where Hitler was going 00:01:15.30\00:01:17.84 as far as his attitude towards the Jewish people. 00:01:17.87\00:01:20.48 And some of the Jews decided to get out. 00:01:21.51\00:01:24.11 But there were a lot that decided to stay. 00:01:24.15\00:01:26.11 They said, "Well maybe it won't get so bad. 00:01:26.15\00:01:27.65 Maybe it will be okay. 00:01:27.68\00:01:29.02 I mean, we've got our home here." 00:01:29.05\00:01:30.39 There was all kinds of reasons. 00:01:30.42\00:01:31.95 But there was one man by the name of Oppenheimer 00:01:32.32\00:01:35.12 who decided to leave and take his family. 00:01:35.52\00:01:37.69 So they sold everything. 00:01:37.73\00:01:39.06 They were very quiet about what they did. 00:01:39.09\00:01:40.60 And they finally left and crossed the border. 00:01:40.96\00:01:43.97 And this is his daughter's statement 00:01:44.33\00:01:46.43 about what her father had to say. 00:01:46.53\00:01:48.47 This is Hanna Oppenheimer. 00:01:48.50\00:01:50.41 "The minute we crossed the German border 00:01:51.24\00:01:53.24 my father sat me down on his knee," she says. 00:01:53.27\00:01:57.51 "He explained why we were going to Jerusalem. 00:01:57.55\00:02:01.28 He said that Germany was no longer safe 00:02:01.85\00:02:04.35 and the Jews would no longer be able to lead a normal life. 00:02:04.39\00:02:08.92 Despite the fact that we had lived in Germany 00:02:09.52\00:02:12.16 for generations, he said we had to leave 00:02:12.19\00:02:15.36 while we could." 00:02:15.73\00:02:18.70 And they did. 00:02:19.03\00:02:20.37 The book of Revelation gives a call, 00:02:22.17\00:02:24.21 a call to come out of Babylon. 00:02:24.24\00:02:26.81 A lot of people say, "Well how can the mark of the beast 00:02:26.91\00:02:28.64 and all these things you're talking about, 00:02:28.68\00:02:30.01 how can that all take place?" 00:02:30.05\00:02:31.38 But many people would have said, "How could Nazism 00:02:31.41\00:02:33.72 ever risen in Germany either?" 00:02:33.75\00:02:35.68 But we go to the book of Revelation, 00:02:36.82\00:02:38.25 and the book of Revelation is warning us. 00:02:38.29\00:02:40.42 Revelation 18:1-5, "And after these things I saw another angel 00:02:40.46\00:02:47.30 coming down from heaven, having great authority..." 00:02:47.40\00:02:50.77 He's coming from Jesus, the incomparable Jesus 00:02:50.80\00:02:53.34 that we've been talking about. 00:02:53.37\00:02:54.80 Jesus is sending a mighty message, one last mighty 00:02:54.84\00:02:58.04 message to the world. 00:02:58.07\00:02:59.94 "...and the earth was illuminated with his glory." 00:03:01.28\00:03:03.58 So this is going to be a worldwide appeal. 00:03:03.61\00:03:05.85 It's going to be an appeal that says to everybody, 00:03:05.88\00:03:08.38 "You better listen." 00:03:08.48\00:03:10.29 "And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, 00:03:11.39\00:03:14.12 'Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become 00:03:14.52\00:03:19.16 the dwelling place of demons...'" 00:03:19.19\00:03:22.66 That's so sad. 00:03:22.70\00:03:24.53 Because Babylon really calls itself a Christian church, 00:03:24.70\00:03:29.40 or churches. 00:03:29.44\00:03:30.77 It's an alliance of churches, a denomination at the end of time, 00:03:30.81\00:03:34.64 according to Scripture. 00:03:35.21\00:03:36.75 "...has become the dwelling place of demons, 00:03:37.15\00:03:39.31 a prison for every foul spirit, 00:03:39.35\00:03:41.95 and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!" 00:03:41.98\00:03:44.55 It shows how terrible the deceptions will be 00:03:44.59\00:03:47.72 in the end of time. 00:03:48.16\00:03:49.96 Terrible deceptions. 00:03:49.99\00:03:51.76 Then he goes on to say, "For all the nations have drunk of 00:03:53.19\00:03:57.47 the wine of her fornication..." 00:03:57.50\00:03:59.73 In other words, they've become drunk. 00:04:00.00\00:04:01.94 They don't have good sense. 00:04:02.54\00:04:04.31 "'...the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, 00:04:04.54\00:04:06.91 and the merchants of the earth have become rich 00:04:06.94\00:04:10.51 with her luxury.' 00:04:10.55\00:04:12.81 And I heard another voice from heaven saying..." 00:04:12.85\00:04:15.08 And here it is. 00:04:15.12\00:04:16.45 "Come out of her, my people..." 00:04:16.48\00:04:18.99 In other words, in the end of time everybody is saying, 00:04:19.02\00:04:20.59 "Hey, we got rich. This is great. 00:04:20.62\00:04:22.09 This is wonderful, this is going to be a good thing." 00:04:22.12\00:04:23.99 And yet Jesus says, the incomparable Jesus 00:04:24.03\00:04:27.06 who loves us, says, "Come out. 00:04:27.10\00:04:29.13 Come out." 00:04:29.43\00:04:30.77 Come out. Why? 00:04:30.80\00:04:32.30 "...lest you share in her sins and you receive her plagues." 00:04:32.63\00:04:36.91 In other words, time is going to run out for Babylon. 00:04:36.94\00:04:40.61 It will no longer be safe to stay in Babylon. 00:04:40.71\00:04:43.71 We're not talking about a life on this earth, 00:04:43.75\00:04:46.72 like leaving Nazi Germany. 00:04:47.22\00:04:48.88 We're talking about eternal life. 00:04:48.92\00:04:50.95 It's not going to be safe. 00:04:51.19\00:04:53.99 Just like it wasn't safe in Nazi Germany to stay there. Why? 00:04:54.09\00:04:58.39 It goes on, "For her sins have reached to heaven..." 00:04:58.86\00:05:01.36 Another way of saying that is, she's filled up her cup. 00:05:01.86\00:05:06.00 Even Jesus, the great incomparable Jesus 00:05:06.43\00:05:09.87 who loves us so much, He can't do anything else. 00:05:09.90\00:05:13.27 He can't do anything else. 00:05:13.61\00:05:14.94 She's filled up her cup. She's not going to change. 00:05:14.98\00:05:19.05 "For her sins have reached to heaven, 00:05:20.45\00:05:23.08 and God has remembered her iniquities." 00:05:23.12\00:05:26.52 Now God remembers, God acts. 00:05:26.55\00:05:28.99 Not that He ever forgot, but it's a way of the Scripture 00:05:29.02\00:05:31.46 saying, "It's time now to act." 00:05:31.49\00:05:34.56 So this unfaithful church. 00:05:34.93\00:05:36.80 You remember, the book of Revelation 00:05:36.83\00:05:38.23 is a book of contrasts. 00:05:38.27\00:05:39.60 We have the faithful church who is introduced 00:05:39.63\00:05:41.80 to us in chapter 12. 00:05:41.84\00:05:43.91 She's clothed with the lights of the universe; 00:05:44.01\00:05:46.57 the sun, the moon, the stars. 00:05:46.61\00:05:48.78 And then we have this Babylon 00:05:48.88\00:05:50.68 who everybody really is attracted to. 00:05:50.71\00:05:53.28 She's very seductive. 00:05:53.31\00:05:54.65 We talked about her seducing and how she seduces the world. 00:05:54.72\00:05:58.69 And people are just flocking to her. 00:05:59.02\00:06:02.06 And she's in contrast. 00:06:02.32\00:06:03.66 Both of these women claim, in symbolic form, 00:06:03.69\00:06:07.63 symbols, of people who claim or churches who claim 00:06:08.13\00:06:11.83 to belong to Christ. 00:06:11.87\00:06:13.74 They claim they're His. 00:06:13.84\00:06:16.17 But there's a true one and there's one that's a false one. 00:06:16.37\00:06:20.31 It's just that simple. 00:06:20.34\00:06:21.68 So how do we know? 00:06:22.51\00:06:23.85 How do we know the difference between 00:06:23.88\00:06:25.81 the true, as it were, and the false? 00:06:25.85\00:06:29.25 Well, we know we're dealing with sin here. 00:06:29.28\00:06:31.25 We're dealing with a religious issue. 00:06:31.29\00:06:33.09 We know what sin is according to the Scripture. 00:06:33.12\00:06:36.12 Sin is the transgression of the law. 00:06:36.83\00:06:39.79 In other words, according to the New Testament 00:06:39.89\00:06:42.46 it's the violation of the law. 00:06:42.50\00:06:44.27 There's no judgment if there's no commandment. 00:06:44.30\00:06:46.23 So if you violate God's Ten Commandments, 00:06:46.27\00:06:48.67 you're asking for judgment. 00:06:48.70\00:06:50.51 Just like if you violate the laws of the land. 00:06:50.54\00:06:52.31 The laws of our land, the good ones, are given to us 00:06:52.34\00:06:55.71 to maintain freedom. 00:06:55.74\00:06:57.28 Well there's a lot of people that just, you know, 00:06:57.55\00:06:58.88 they want to do their own thing. 00:06:58.91\00:07:00.25 But if they do their own thing, it produces chaos. 00:07:00.28\00:07:02.88 And we lose freedom, and there's no freedom anywhere. 00:07:02.92\00:07:05.92 No, law is a good thing. 00:07:06.19\00:07:08.22 Good laws are a good thing, and they preserve life 00:07:08.26\00:07:11.49 and they preserve freedom. 00:07:11.76\00:07:13.93 And that's exactly, of course, what the Ten Commandments do. 00:07:13.96\00:07:17.57 It's the book of James, in James 2:10, that says 00:07:17.60\00:07:21.74 if you break any of God's Ten Commandments, 00:07:22.10\00:07:24.04 I'm paraphrasing here, 00:07:24.07\00:07:27.68 if you break any of God's Ten Commandments, 00:07:27.71\00:07:30.18 he says you've broken them all. Why? 00:07:30.21\00:07:32.05 Because they're built on God's love, 00:07:32.15\00:07:34.12 on unselfish love. 00:07:34.45\00:07:37.12 So if you violate any of them, you become selfish. 00:07:37.15\00:07:40.89 And selfishness is not going to be in the new earth. 00:07:41.09\00:07:43.89 Selfishness is the root and the cause 00:07:43.93\00:07:46.66 of all our calamities in this world. 00:07:46.70\00:07:49.40 I'm looking forward to that new heavens and the new earth 00:07:49.50\00:07:52.73 where righteousness and unselfish love is premium. 00:07:53.03\00:07:57.17 And that's where people are going to have a wonderful time. 00:07:57.21\00:07:59.51 A marvelous time. We've talked about that already. 00:07:59.61\00:08:01.41 But to get back to this, so the mark of the beast 00:08:01.44\00:08:05.31 which Babylon makes, she puts this together 00:08:05.41\00:08:09.95 in order to force God's people, to force everybody really, 00:08:09.98\00:08:13.49 to break God's commandments. 00:08:13.52\00:08:15.32 You know, already we have great churches 00:08:15.36\00:08:17.56 that are calling for the solution to climate change. 00:08:17.76\00:08:21.56 I'm not talking about climate change or that argument. 00:08:21.60\00:08:24.00 But they're calling for solutions to climate change 00:08:24.03\00:08:27.07 to being Sunday worship. 00:08:27.10\00:08:28.50 Getting everybody to come back and worship Sunday. 00:08:28.54\00:08:30.97 We've already seen that going out. 00:08:31.01\00:08:32.91 We're seeing atheists buy into that, 00:08:32.94\00:08:35.04 we're seeing secular people buy into that, 00:08:35.08\00:08:37.28 we're seeing religious people buying into that. 00:08:37.31\00:08:39.38 People saying, "Oh, yes." 00:08:39.41\00:08:40.75 And as disasters become worse and worse, 00:08:40.78\00:08:43.22 people are going to say, "We've got to fix this." 00:08:43.25\00:08:45.99 And Sunday will be a solution to it in their mind. 00:08:46.02\00:08:50.93 If they can just have everybody rest one day of the week, 00:08:50.96\00:08:53.19 they think they can solve the problem. 00:08:53.43\00:08:55.53 And they think they can solve poverty with it, 00:08:55.73\00:08:58.07 and a lot of other things. 00:08:58.10\00:08:59.43 So you're going to see this become very, very popular, 00:08:59.47\00:09:01.84 not just among church people, but it's going to be very, very 00:09:01.87\00:09:04.57 popular among people who are secular. 00:09:04.61\00:09:08.61 Even atheists are buying into it. 00:09:08.64\00:09:11.15 So the mark of the beast, of course, is to produce 00:09:12.35\00:09:15.18 a counterfeit Sabbath. 00:09:15.22\00:09:16.82 It breaks God's fourth commandment. 00:09:17.02\00:09:19.19 And it orders the murder of those who refuse to go along. 00:09:19.22\00:09:23.09 Just like in the days of Esther and Mordecai 00:09:23.12\00:09:26.49 when Haman went to the king and talked him into 00:09:26.53\00:09:30.07 murdering all the Jews. 00:09:30.10\00:09:32.10 And yet, God ended up rescuing them. 00:09:32.13\00:09:34.77 God will rescue His people. 00:09:34.80\00:09:36.14 That doesn't mean that many aren't going to lose their life. 00:09:36.17\00:09:38.27 It's going to be terrible persecution coming. 00:09:38.31\00:09:40.81 But listen, it's going to be worse for Babylon. 00:09:41.08\00:09:43.11 When Babylon falls, everything is going to come apart. 00:09:43.14\00:09:46.18 Everything they wanted, all the economy, all the luxury, 00:09:46.21\00:09:49.48 everything they've put their hopes in, this earthly life. 00:09:49.52\00:09:52.19 Just like the Sadducees and Pharisees in the days of Jesus. 00:09:52.22\00:09:55.69 They didn't want a self-sacrificing Jesus. 00:09:55.72\00:09:57.76 They wanted a king that would come and 00:09:57.79\00:09:59.33 give them, make Jerusalem the center of the world, 00:09:59.43\00:10:01.70 and earthly power. 00:10:01.73\00:10:03.16 So that's what Babylon, in the name of Christ, 00:10:03.50\00:10:06.07 offers the world. 00:10:06.17\00:10:07.80 But it's not going to work. 00:10:07.90\00:10:10.74 It's going to be far worse for Babylon. 00:10:10.77\00:10:12.84 It might be worse for God's people to start with, 00:10:12.87\00:10:15.24 but it's going to be far worse for Babylon 00:10:15.34\00:10:17.48 in the end of time. 00:10:17.51\00:10:19.38 So this murdering of God's people, 00:10:19.41\00:10:21.72 this persecution of God's people 00:10:21.85\00:10:23.39 will call down the seven last plagues. 00:10:23.42\00:10:27.12 Listen to the book of Revelation 18:23-24. 00:10:27.66\00:10:31.89 Listen to what it says. 00:10:31.93\00:10:33.26 It says, "The light of a lamp shall not 00:10:33.29\00:10:35.60 shine in you anymore..." 00:10:35.63\00:10:36.97 Talking about the destruction of Babylon. 00:10:37.00\00:10:39.63 "...the voice of the bridegroom and the bride shall not 00:10:39.87\00:10:42.07 be heard in you anymore. 00:10:42.10\00:10:43.91 For your merchants were the great men of the earth, 00:10:44.11\00:10:46.74 and by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. 00:10:46.78\00:10:50.95 And in her," Babylon, "was found the blood 00:10:50.98\00:10:54.12 of the prophets and the saints who were slain on the earth." 00:10:54.15\00:10:58.65 So there's going to be terrible persecution 00:10:58.69\00:11:00.79 by Babylon in the end of time. 00:11:00.89\00:11:03.09 Now Revelation 19:2 tells that God is 00:11:04.09\00:11:08.50 righteous for judging her. 00:11:08.53\00:11:10.07 "For true and righteous are His judgments, 00:11:10.10\00:11:12.93 because He has judged the great harlot who has corrupted," 00:11:13.13\00:11:17.84 corrupted, "the earth with her fornication." 00:11:17.94\00:11:21.91 In other words, because of being unfaithful to Jesus 00:11:21.94\00:11:25.38 and embracing the leaders of the world for their wealth 00:11:25.48\00:11:29.02 and their power, she's been unfaithful, 00:11:29.05\00:11:32.09 and this fornication has made the world become drunk. 00:11:32.19\00:11:36.89 But God knows what it is. 00:11:37.33\00:11:40.26 And it says that, "He has avenged on her 00:11:40.30\00:11:43.06 the blood of His servants shed by her." 00:11:43.10\00:11:45.63 Do you love the Lord enough to give your life for Him? 00:11:46.33\00:11:48.90 I mean, your life is not going to last that long. 00:11:49.67\00:11:51.57 I mean, in this world we live 70, 80, 90, maybe 100 years? 00:11:51.61\00:11:55.94 Maybe. Maybe. 00:11:55.98\00:11:57.35 But it all goes fast. 00:11:57.38\00:11:58.71 Have you noticed how fast time goes? 00:11:58.75\00:12:02.12 It goes quickly. 00:12:02.38\00:12:03.72 I mean, you know, when I was 10 years old it felt like 00:12:03.85\00:12:06.15 I was walking with a turtle. 00:12:06.19\00:12:08.49 By the time I was 15, I was on a bicycle. 00:12:08.52\00:12:11.26 By the time I'm 25, I'm riding down the interstate, in time. 00:12:11.53\00:12:15.76 By the time you reach my age, I'm on a space shuttle. 00:12:15.96\00:12:19.40 Time speeds up, it goes fast. 00:12:20.10\00:12:22.50 You look back over your life and you say, "Where has it gone?" 00:12:22.54\00:12:25.47 That's why I want life everlasting. 00:12:25.57\00:12:28.01 I mean, if you get everything in this world for this little life, 00:12:28.04\00:12:31.25 what have you got if you lose your soul, 00:12:31.35\00:12:33.68 if you lose eternal life? 00:12:33.72\00:12:35.62 So God says to people, "Get out of Babylon." 00:12:36.58\00:12:40.79 But where do you go? If you leave, you go where? 00:12:40.96\00:12:44.49 Well, there's two women that are symbolic here. 00:12:44.53\00:12:47.33 One is the faithful church, one is the unfaithful church. 00:12:47.36\00:12:50.30 And this is just as simple as ABC. 00:12:50.33\00:12:52.77 God is saying this, He's saying, "Leave the unfaithful, 00:12:52.97\00:12:57.87 unfaithful church, and go into a faithful church. 00:12:58.24\00:13:02.81 Because I'm going to protect that faithful church in the end. 00:13:02.84\00:13:04.91 Even if many people lose their lives, 00:13:04.95\00:13:06.75 a lot of them are going to go through terrible persecution. 00:13:06.78\00:13:09.12 And they're going to be ready for Me to come, 00:13:09.42\00:13:11.49 and I'm going to protect them. 00:13:11.52\00:13:12.85 I'll resurrect them, I'll save them. 00:13:12.89\00:13:14.99 They'll be ready for Jesus to come. 00:13:15.02\00:13:16.73 But you need to get into that church. 00:13:16.76\00:13:18.63 You need to get into that church." 00:13:18.73\00:13:20.53 You know, it's like being in Noah's ark. 00:13:20.56\00:13:23.30 And the hawk... 00:13:23.93\00:13:25.80 I'm making this up, of course. It's a parable. 00:13:25.83\00:13:27.30 The hawk says to the little dove, "I'm going to eat you." 00:13:27.34\00:13:30.24 And the little dove says, "I'm going to fly out of here. 00:13:30.44\00:13:33.14 I'm going to get out of here." 00:13:33.17\00:13:34.68 And the hawk moves closer. 00:13:34.71\00:13:36.04 But something to the little dove says, "Stay in the ark. 00:13:36.08\00:13:38.51 Stay in the ark, because there's a flood outside." 00:13:38.71\00:13:41.78 Jesus said, "There might be difficulty 00:13:41.82\00:13:43.59 in the faithful church, but you better stay in that church. 00:13:43.62\00:13:46.69 You better get into that church, 00:13:46.72\00:13:48.46 because there is coming a storm outside." 00:13:48.56\00:13:52.79
